of adjustments at first interim we update our assumptions any bargaining unit agreements any additional lcap goals and action steps and of course the staffing needs that we have adjusted since adopted our Auditors will be in District in about a month to audit these financials any questions any board members have any questions for Matt all right Matt thank you where does the lottery fund go in this Lottery lottery is not part of this arrangement we receive two Lottery resources we receive lottery within the unrestricted side of our general fund it would be part of the other state revenue that blue blue slice right there the 14 of our Revenue it does not make up all 14 but we also have a lottery instructional material allocation that would be on the restricted side okay thank you thank you Matt thank you thank you all right moving on to public comments Kylie we have any uh public uh requests to speak carts we do we have four tonight okay uh before we uh I call first person up uh we'd like to limit the comments to uh three minutes uh there's a timer up above behind you so when the three minutes is up I will let you know uh first up is Jackie mark and after Jackie will be Carl hello my name is Jackie sailing Moore and I've come here because I knew to the school with my 12 year old daughter who is at Vanguard and it started out with the I don't know what it was called I guess the back to school night and that's why I'm here and it goes on and on it was the worst display of organization it wasn't organized it was hot it was like cat Biden's cattle everybody running in and bumping into each other in this swamp cooler running you couldn't talk you couldn't talk to the teachers it was so poorly planned that I next the next day I went to talk to principal she didn't want to talk to me I forced the issue I asked her what it was called I asked her whose stupid idea was it and she would not answer and I said and I say the same thing all the time remember I know the answer before I'm you know before I ask you but based on that after talking to the teacher and going into the office several times the school isn't a very bad disarray and I would suggest that the principal dealer does not fit that school whatsoever the parents the children the staff they're very tired they're they don't like what's going on there's no transparency I'm jealous because of these girls that talked about their schools and all the activities we can have nothing at our school we can't even have anybody on campus not even our PTA now I called and I talked to a Sandy avina down to San Bernardino County School District and she said well I'm not on outbreak status we can have parents teacher my day was PTA but now it's ptso we can have those meetings at the school I said shoot we'll have at my house but the situation is is it's very depressing at that school people are leaving left and right no respect from the principal she's very arrogant she's very egotistical she's very narcissistic she does not fit in that school and she shows no respect to her teachers now you just someone took earlier talked about the weather and how hot it was 111 degrees today last weekend I went in and I said you know whatever her name is I didn't pay attention anymore why don't you take 3.59 out of your wallet or out of your office kitty go buy a case of water and give it to your teachers who you have outside sweating in 110 degrees Heat who are doing it for our children to protect our children at the parent walk-up I want an awning put up there for those teachers and the children too and then the turtle Sanctuary has been there for many years for 20 years to recognize a parent that helped us and she won't let anybody go in nobody's allowed on campus to do anything the atmosphere is bad and I would really like you to look into it because I know what I speak I know that you guys are knowledgeable and as a board you can fix this for our parents because she won't let us and as her boss it's up to you guys to do something for our children because it's getting really bad out there no Smiles no happiness not like these scores I heard I'm jealous thank you thank you Jackie for your comments thank you Carl you're up and after Carl Willis will be Richard or I'm sorry Cortez good evening not Richard I'm Carl Willis also known as officer Carl my family and I have been members of this beautiful Community for more than 30 years now I'm going to share a true story with you once upon a time in a small town in California lived a group of great Visionaries and those Visionaries envisioned that the population in their small town within the next two decades will increase substantially and with it there will be more traffic cry in school shootings in our country that like we've never seen before some and those same Visionaries were committed to providing a first-class education to the families in their community now they also focus on providing the safest learning environment possible for their students and staff ladies and gentlemen those Visionaries were the Board of Trustees for the Apple Valley Unified School District back in 1999.

so yes i am a critic of um of this council uh yet um i have the best uh intentions of ann arbor at heart uh and i would encourage you uh or urge you actually to make sure that liberty plaza is not forgotten uh not neglected in this whole process in fact i think liberty plaza should be the focus of your efforts now there has been nothing stopping the proponents of the library lock park from activating liberty plaza there has been shopping council from advocating activation better activation and improvement of liberty plaza which is part of these comments by getting wi-fi at liberty plaza by getting a public lavatory placed at liberty plaza um and uh other amenities uh like a splash pad for kids at liberty plaza you don't have to pierce the uh surface warranty as has been pointed out many times to your council that uh you know doing such of the uh parking lot underneath uh the library lot uh liberty plaza and and somebody should uh from your group should educate um caitlin [Music] about the politics that have gone on around and behind um what you're trying to do um she seemed woefully unaware and started at uh ground zero again um i think camilla hit it right on the head she's heard this all before i've observed many of these meetings you guys are just spinning your wheels and something needs to be done or else my opinion is that we should put this back on the ballot in a future election um uh either through a millage to support uh the efforts um or you know to to put it back on the ballot just to see what ann arborites think right now because um that vote in 2018 just split ann arbor down the middle and i think you're seeing the effects of that right now so thank you for hearing me out and i hope you all have a good evening thank you thanks louise anyone else i think that's it nobody else with their hands raised all right thank you uh with that i think we've got some action items for next week and or next month rather sorry um and i would say check your emails for those things and otherwise we have a motion for german [Music] oh move so move all right as motion and seconded all in favor say aye [Music] all right thank you very much have a nice evening you

so we're essentially over capacity already yeah we're definitely over capacity i know that that's why you know i don't know scott do you recall the exact number erica off the top of your head right now no no the uh capacity number yeah all rooms at the end are full got it thank you that was my next scott's interpretation we even created an additional room which is now filled thanks tony yeah on the um on the school opening the can you get the the numbers overall i think we're up a little bit but specifically in kindergarten it looked like it was probably significantly lower what is that are you reading anything into that i mean we're talking about school modernization population increasing is are we way off the mark on that are we on target um based on what you know as of today which is only a couple days into the school year is there any trending i think it's uh it's a good question question i've certainly uh wondered about and looked at um but i think it's premature to draw any conclusions from it uh you know i i know of a number of houses coming online and we have other situations where some of our youngest students just how happens they're like out of the country not that many but it's some and i would want to wait until you know i think probably next year we would have a better sense of you know what what is the trend looking like because like you said right now we're above and a lot of our younger grades are still well above the projection but kindergarten was kind of an odd anomaly why it wasn't why that that one wasn't and we want to continue to track that is that is it possible that it's impacted in any way by the pre-k i'm assuming those numbers are kindergarten and not pre-k but i don't know exactly what it is those numbers were kindergarten exclusive okay our pre-k wasn't above the projection okay um which gives you an indicator of maybe the kindergarten rebounding yeah because you you've done this long enough to know too that sometimes we'll get an odd year and i'm wondering to what degree is this pandemic related but we'll get an odd year of birth rate issues and as i talk this through i haven't had time since tuesday to now to go back and look at the updated birth rate data that would correspond with this year so i can do that too but it is yeah it's an anomaly when you look at the other grades why that grade is is lower and i saw norton was low yeah i'm just curious is there anything in particular about darcy just because it's darcy and it's separate from doolittle is there is there any ever been anything like that that you've noticed where you've had it nothing okay not necessarily no i you know um darcy perhaps that can be a little tricky too because darcy um does definitely draw do little kindergarten families but as kim will tell you a lot of the the kindergartners there are siblings of children in other support programs at darcy and it's easier for the parent to drive them there if they don't have the siblings that could be a reason it's down yeah and no highlands up i mean it's uh i live a few feet away from the doolittle districts and tell you i would seriously have considered doing something other than darcy just because of our commutes to new haven right and where we live at the south and the town so sure i could see something like that i just figured i would ask okay yeah there's uh we definitely still have to uh investigate that issue a little bit more okay uh i i had a couple questions but they were after the street okay um you question on you would mention that we've spent about five thousand dollars less per student right so let's just say schools pass in november that's a quite a bit of spending does that get incorporated into the average student spending no the per pupil expenditure is a function of the money spent on the operating budget divided by the the pupil not capital budget money okay but so here's a question that i have do any other towns incorporate their capital their their schools or anything like that not into their operating budget it doesn't that's by um uniform chart of accounts you have to include these specific accounts only in your operating budget these accounts specifically in your capital budget so no that that question's come up several times before it's exclusively operations versus you know capital over here yeah by and large okay parts of transportation are taken out like for a district that is sending kids via buses to other districts and stuff there are rules around what transportation is included but certainly not uh building uh or improvements things like that so when you're but when you're explaining it to the public by and large those numbers are normalized there might be a little nuance to it but it's absolutely okay okay it's apples to apples okay thank you and then um you would put up you'd put up a couple of near the end of your presentation you put up a couple of uh rankings yep and i'm in one of our rankings that i thought at least maybe two years ago take covet out of it we were ranked fifth and then now we're 11 so we did drop down uh i'm just wondering if you could speak to that is sure anything significant yeah absolutely when you're fifth there aren't a lot of places to go um and we were out performing um half of durga that was spending that kind of money more than than we were the pandemic certainly impacted performance across connecticut to still be in the top handful of districts in connecticut still out achieving some durga schools and almost every single district in dergby i still feel really good about where we're performing there to go from 5th to 12th could be a matter of a percentage point within a ranking um so that was for the for that that was for the 150 or 170 school districts not for the 20 in dirk b correct that's okay 11 out of everybody okay um okay so i think you know we're still pretty happy with that level of success okay thank you sure thanks tony uh so jeff if you could could you go to the last slide it just so i get my wording absolutely so we're going to um point to board and administration review indicators data and identifying um targets annually so we're going to set up the metrics by which we measure performance yes so and i don't want to say measure performance measure attainment of the goals okay because you know some of the goals may not be that we design you know some of the metrics may not be achieve x points on this you know assessment it may be you know that we've um i'm having a hard time coming up with one off the top of my head but it may not always be just performance based metrics as opposed to you know a number of engagements with the community or something like that maybe okay another measure i could see how we'd make we can create these indicators for academics i guess is there objective data out there for social emotional learning and how are we gonna yeah i'm not asking for an answer now but could you give me an idea of how we're going to go about measuring um that would be something that i would want to discuss with marlene with our administrative team draft those and return to you with here's what we're thinking and we could discuss them and discuss those different targets and modify is necessary uh the the we don't give an sel test right i mean i don't know how you ever do tests really exist so there are assessments but um not that we've incorporated so you know we would have to to look at that how do we gauge whether we're making progress so for example did we provide the um teen mental health first aid program to all sophomores that would be a target this year for us that you know wouldn't be an assessment um but a goal that we would want to attain is evidence that we're furthering our ability to deliver sel support to students so that's an example um but i again would want to talk to our team to identify other indicators that we could put forth for review okay thank you sure any other questions on the superintendent's opening schools report that we have none up here thank you dr sullivan all right thank you i just want to just notice something on our uh printed agendas uh versus what's published online the audience uh components missing is number two so my apologies is caught that but since we did publish this on our board website number two was audience but if they already members audience that wish to speak to the board you're certainly welcome to do so you don't have to okay it seems there are none we're going to move on there's no old business uh before we get into the new business uh all board members got i think an email from doctor sullivan regarding the strategic plan uh i we don't uh i recommend we don't affirm it tonight but have a general discussion uh i know some board members uh i have not looked at it since sunday prior to that i did not look at it since june although i'm very familiar with it um sam was not here in august of 2021 would it be off-site she came on board a few months later so i know tim has some questions so i suggest tonight that we just have a you know general q a without the selling the team and perhaps not the next board meeting in the 15th we can affirm it that being said um dr sullin back to you on the firm on the uh strategic plan overview sure i mean it would in essence be kind of a rehash of what i shared in the powerpoint but we have designed district goals the the first page of the document kind of outlines uh the process and the two marquee goals that we've been working with since roughly 2016 complex thinking and social emotional learning we've identified several indicators of success so you know faith when you talk about you know how where are we going to derive some of these goals from i think this these are the things we're looking to advance here and how do we uh in our work identify targets to advance our growth with respect to supporting students to become better social emotional learners and complex thinkers the vision of the graduate was worked on for the accreditation process that we went through at cheshire high school several years ago and worked with the personalized learning task force did a tremendous job working through that process a lot of adam i remember you were in a lot of those meetings that we went to at cheshire high school um and can vouch for the amount of time and research and energy that went into the process of uh identifying uh trying to promote students who have a strong sense of themselves as thinkers and learners a strong capacity to work with others as collaborators and a global awareness of how we can shape our community in positive ways and then there are numerous uh several performance standards that were adopted by the board as part of that process back in 2019 what is relatively new is the work that we've done as a school system to define high quality instruction and i talked a little bit during the presentation about um what we're looking for when we go into classrooms what teachers are looking for when they observe their peers is a way to support their growth you know i said to our faculty at our convocation session after i had taken off the hospital gown i shared uh had a little bit more credibility at that point and shared that you know one of the reasons we are successful is because we're always working at becoming more successful the best players the best musicians the best art artistic talents in the world they're always working on evolving and becoming a little bit better and and this is our craft education is our craft and we're working on becoming better superintendents and assistant superintendents and principals and curriculum coordinators and teachers uh through that process so focusing on collectively defining this what does high quality instruction look like what are we aspiring to in the classroom and then trying to support each other to uh really exemplify this in the in the classroom is what we're focused on so that's really um the gist of it and i think what was important and what has been important um at least from where i sit as the superintendent um since i became superintendent in 2016 is to have documents in in guidance that is visible and incorporated into the everyday activities of the school system um i think for the time this is certainly not knocking anybody who was involved in the process in 2011 i may have been involved in the process of 2011 but to define 16 goals that nobody can recite and don't have anything to do or don't have much to do with our daily practice we've evolved since then and we have two goals that are very much a part of what we do every day part of what you do as a board when we evaluate the budget we've been very good about that and aligning our resources to support these goals and again i think the the suspect the success speaks for itself in that process and so when we talk to stakeholders within the community they value the goals that we have and see value in those goals and of course we can nothing stops us from continuing to evolve in three years if we hate it um but i think we're going to continue to try and aspire to hit those targets and become better and hopefully get to a point where we don't need the we want to move beyond it so that was my tried to be brief but maybe long-winded review of the packet the goals i know you're gonna put your hand up before you put it up so i was looking at you anyway go ahead thank you jeff i appreciate it the so i haven't i haven't gotten through this whole thing um today but the one thing that jumped out at me and i'm just curious if you could speak to it you know this is a little bit of a pet peeve of mine it's the state assessments so i'm looking at the i think it's basically the first section on page two when we've when we've discussed this in the past um measuring student performance it's what i recall these are my words nobody else's assessments are they're part of a bigger picture that's reviewed and so that just jumps out at me and i'm like uh i'm just wondering if you could speak to that absolutely absolutely and i would invite marlene certainly to add on to anything that maybe i i over you know i miss but um you know i think what we've found is that the assessments that students are given from the state have evolved to be a better reflection of complex thinking it i'd love the curriculum committee or other meeting to just have you guys walk through a couple of questions to see exactly how challenging and rigorous they are it's not recall you need good problem-solving skills to be able to do them i do not believe they should be the anchor of what we do in the school system but i do believe that if we support our students with these two goals i think they'll be well positioned to be successful on state assessments or anything else we throw at them there's a a certain level of intellectual agility that comes with being a very good complex thinker that allows you to be successful i'm not suggesting by any stretch that we are drilling kids on on these and coaching them like you know a sat prep class or something like that but i think we still is a school system and a community want to remain aware of our performance on these state assessments and i think we'll do well even if we don't focus on them but we want to stay aware of them from my take marlene anything you would add to that in terms of the complex in terms of the there's a complex sticking that i'm talking about this section here i'm just wondering if uh the other things that we had discussed that might be more qualitative are those baked into this here because i don't see it sort of jump out at me but it might be if you could just so like something like uh creativity um is a part of complex thinking that we want to foster i think that would be part of when we design an annual goal how are we noting progress toward that but it sound like you wanted to jump into i was just thinking that there's so many things that go into a successful school system you know when you think about the culture and we have surveys to look at the the culture and the climate of our buildings we have um data points on discipline right and so and then we can further look into what types of discipline was it and how are kids treating one another and are they being kind and are they being responsible uh how are kids managing their time you know um how how is the decision what is their decision making like so a lot of this comes out in in surveys that we do it comes out in work that that students do it's sort of reflected in some of those characters characteristics of successful learners that are yeah they're baked into at least our elementary report cards so i think there's room there for us to certainly grow and and look at that but i would never want to see us just latch onto to one thing so is it the stuff that you just mentioned is that sort of baked into these bullet points here yes okay yes so like looking at key just keep disciplinary incidents low so that's one of them and then another is using our district leadership committees so we have data team committees that are are looking at all sorts of data are kids coming to school what does our absenteeism look like that's an indicator when we meet as a safe school climate committee and look at disciplinary incidents we're looking at where are those happening why are they happening you know are there proactive things that we can do so there are there's programming that we can put in place some some of the things are small some of them are sort of medium lifts and then some are really structural where we need to make big sweeping changes but all of those things really contribute to the whole so i think looking at those district leadership committees looking at access for all of our learners and you know is is what we're doing inclusive of all of our subgroups our high needs students our free and reduced lunch students making sure we're really looking at that full picture and having indicators of all of those i think will help drive our success and you know if there is an adjustment to be made here i i would say that this this these indicators of success aren't meant to be um exhaustive or exclusive yep that they're meant to be you know uh guide posts if you will not sure the full story or not only these things so you know when we look at we want to establish goals and targets that demonstrate i mean the the litmus test is if we do better on this indicator does it help students become better complex thinkers and social emotional learners whether that's training staff in a certain way or looking at certain data points are we demonstrating growth in this area and so you know that's really the the goal here is to advance these goals and adopting a few meaningful goals on an annual basis that reflect that and you could hold the same goal for three or four years but at the end of the day do they move these things forward and that's kind of how we design budgets now too over the last several years does this budget help us get better at these things and that's you know real key consideration for us so just one last one last way to look at this so we're i was asking about the assessments all these things i think they're valuable uh but let's just say the student is really really nice and they don't do well they're going to be measured in some way like do they do their homework do they get good grades on routine tests rather than this one test in the spring that regardless what the schools do other kids might be building up to it and they get nervous and they don't do well yeah so does this incorporate things like just routine grading and routine school work yeah we don't um we're trying to assess the progress of the masses okay through this document gotcha we're we look at individual progress through a report card okay that does reflect those things particularly you know in that k-6 level where we're looking at what sort of progress are students making them and we're also very sensitive that doesn't mean at the high school that we give a test on tuesday if you didn't do well tough cookies you know we're not about ranking and grading we're about teaching and learning okay and so if there's a reason in from the why you didn't perform well on this assessment we want to know and we want to support your mastery of that and some people will say well that's not how college does it um but that's not their university route 10 either it's cheshire high school and by developing the skills to be successful we're giving you a better opportunity to be successful at college or wherever you go thank you thanks doctors uh i never with my uh us they're graduating enough with my kids i've gone to cheshire public schools i never felt that spec was ever something that they studied for necessarily nor something were measured on i you know i using reports and to me you know that was uh just an indicator at a point in time i i will say i it's i don't know if everyone has the same experience with cheshire high school you mentioned about the tests i will say our last both my daughter's going through high school i've noticed that you know if uh if a kid or a group of class group in the class didn't do well on a test it was not oh oh well you didn't mesmerize it memorize it came over it was actually an ability to find out what you fell behind on learn it and prove the teacher so i i've seen that i know it's come a long way um you know by share i'm sure most members you know don't want to see the assessments being the end all beyond that's not the case the only one that is on page four i like how um the attributes are broken out by topic as uh you know faith medicine earlier when we talk about indicators and you know kpis maybe it might be a good idea to list out you know and i know it's evolving but how how the indicators tied to these sections in addition to the attributes that way it's you know we know and i know it's going to change some more qualitative some quantitative but it gives us a better understanding and how the district is looking at tracking because that's all mr gripper thank you um luckily i had a doctor's appointment yesterday so i uh had a few minutes to kind of do a first run through the the uh standards here and um everything felt familiar because you know spent a lot of time with this in years past and you know it seemed in line except for one part um under a collaborative and cooperative learner um it seems like under attributes that uh frey i'll call it a phrase a and phrase c seem to conflict with each other because all the other ones seem to kind of build upon each other but this one i i couldn't quite figure out the context of how to be how to equity can equitably contribute to something but then you know demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and challenge someone respectively so i wasn't quite sure how those work with each other and so i i thought you'd be just asking maybe that's the i'm going to respectfully disagree with you mr gripper to i think um with respect to the first one to be able to contribute equitably to group success means i'm reading what's occurring in the group process and i'm not sitting there you know trying to figure out today's word all when everybody else is doing their thing and contributing i play an equitable role here and that i'm pitching in and providing support c phrase c um is more about if you're you raise a point like i think that the argument should be that we should take this argument for capital punishment and we're working on the same project but i disagree i think we should take a different point toward why capital punishment should be in place let's say uh hypothetically how do i what skills do i possess to respectfully discuss that with you and come to a solution that's the evolution of i think i was safe on the kickball game and you think i was out to a more adult sort of disagreement here and how do i respectfully and appropriately express that to you in a way that's productive to the group um and that's where i see those you know the nuances between those two uh similar sounding actions so so phrase a then in in context is more meant to to say that we want you that you should be participating am i pulling my weight right pulling your weight okay so i i didn't i wasn't understanding what that meant okay sure thank you any other questions yeah please um i really i can appreciate this and i really again like the indicators of success and the complex thinking and social emotional learning to move forward i think what i would like to see you know you have theory of action therefore what are the action steps and and we saw it in the powerpoint right you're already starting with bringing in mike anderson so i guess moving forward what are the things we're doing to get to those uh indicators of success i think you know we have the same vision here in the sense that that's where we're identifying those goals are like indeed our action steps um what are the targets here it's almost grounded in that theory of action we believe that you know working with mike anderson if we can get x number of teachers engaged in that that we support our overall ability to you know mix gains with sel um because to faith's point there aren't there's not an easy litmus test for that but we know that there are certain strategies that we want to try and employ like giving many lessons on how do i respectfully disagree in a group blessing before i jump into it um that we know support kids making those gains so i think we're on the same page with respect to those um steps and that'll be part of like the team in the audience here um including this gentleman if you'd like to join us but uh come up with uh you know our indicators and goals any other uh comments or questions you're thinking and i was waiting for you yeah no i um excuse me i i i know we're going to take this up at the next meeting um and i too am somewhat behind and really diving into this and i hope no offense is taken but but can we raise some issues because i'm seeing some things where i'm kind of just trying to puzzle it out and if you're all waiting for me tonight it's going to be a long time yeah sure i would ask you know certainly send me any questions you have or call me or you know or marlene and we could walk through it um and i could send information out to the board okay that would be great thanks sure yeah i'm just gonna say uh the next business meeting is the 15th there's a curriculum meeting on the curriculum committee meeting on the 12th maybe i know i'm not i think the agenda is finalized but you know if there's still questions uh you know you want to cover there maybe we can have time to cover it there i don't want to look at marlene as i know it's a packed agenda but in the meantime keep communication flowing to marlene and jeff and um yeah let's see what happens again i don't i i personally want to rush this through uh i i i get it been through it but uh also i'm wondering if it's possible to um let our cbs community know that we're looking at this and those they probably have not looked at it for a while and let them know that this is coming up yeah that's kind of the i mean certainly i can send it out that's kind of the process we went through last year by um you know going to the pto meetings sharing this with them getting their feedback um but i'll certainly send it out again yeah just as a reminder uh anyway that's all i have on this i'm not trying to pull on the menu i'm just trying to be respectful everybody's time and what's coming up uh before we adjourn just a couple reminders uh next business meeting is the 15th curriculum committee meeting is a 12th uh it is in person is there a planning committee being on the 13th or we haven't decided that yet okay so that's not been published yet when that is ready we'll put that out there so the next quarterback meeting will be curriculum on the 12th and followed by the business meeting on the 15th uh before i break i just want to i'm sure everybody's read the news that town council last week approved the school monetization referendum to go to the voters this november so i just want to i know some of us were there i just want to thank the town council uh for unanimously putting that forth it was a lot of work so uh i'm glad to see that it's out there let's Mr Rob Turner Mr William Van Kirk Miss Anita Anderson Miss Sue Thomas and Mr Wilson so they took on the grueling task of establishing a School District Police Department and on April 3rd 2002 the resolution was signed and the Apple Valley Unified School District Police Department was established now I was there and I'm truly blessed to be the first employee hired by our first Chief of Police Chief Dave Landry now I've worked alongside every Chief of Police Every police officer dispatcher Cadet and explore from the very beginning to this present day and that is why I can testify to this there is nothing more rewarding than protecting children now all of our offices again are California post certified well trained and disciplined and unlike Uvalde Texas there is no doubt that our officers will go in neutralize the threat and protect our students and staff and finally ladies and gentlemen let's honor two of those board members who have passed away Mr Rob Turner and Mr William Van Kirk please please stand please stand unless honor those gentlemen and while we at it let's recognize the Apple Valley Unified School District Police Department's 20th year anniversary thank you Carl thanks for your comments it's good to see you coming back again after all those years you worked here so keep up the good work uh Rebecca Cortez I'm sorry is it Rebecca and then after Rebecca will be uh Ken Bean hello my name is Rebecca Cortez and I've been a parent at the parent choice school at Vanguard prep for over 14 years and it saddens me today to have to come before you at a board meeting to express my concerns for our school because I thought this would never happen to our school you see Vanguard has always been known for the family atmosphere and the connections we pour through one another at any minute you could walk at any minute you can call up on a Vanguard parent to help in any way we strived on that and I remember when my dad passed away how the campus was hugging me sending me messages delivering meals expressing concern to me and especially my sons who needed support at a difficult time we had an assembly or an award after the day he had passed and my aunt who had served with the school district up in Northern California and I will never forget how she commented on how beautiful and friendly our campus was she was so happy to know that we had a huge loving support system however now with the new Administration it's gone detention in the school is so thick that it makes me sad it's oozing all over the campus you can see it in all the teachers and staff's faces that they are looking like they're barely hanging on the turnover at Vanguard has been incredible and I realized we had a big hit by retirement but this is crazy and we can barely recognize anyone on campus the new administrator is rude and unapproachable to the point that my son last year didn't even want to come to school we even discussed the idea of changing schools but we decided against it because the school for him would probably be too full because of our family and friends we stayed at Vanguard we are miserable and we are still here at Vanguard our school has always been recognized for our volunteering and keeping our campus clean and happy we had had families who helped with Community Services to teach kids how to make things better my kids did help by planting trees cleaning the pond in this Turtle sanctuary and volunteering at the animal shelter we were also supposed to be a stem school by teaching all of the things throughout the school campuses why is this not happening I'm not on board at all with the new dual language immersion program that they want to launch at this site we are a parent choice school and we should have a say and I feel that this would not be affected at our school we need to focus on teachers that we need now like the seventh grade science teacher that I know we don't have at our school who could be very helpful in teaching our stem programs and allow our current seventh graders to hopefully go to Catalina that they're well deserved to go to this year my other concern is also Sports we need to have them back at the junior high level other districts have been playing why not avusd our kids need the same opportunity as well as our friends who live in nearby communities and we need Sports to prepare them for high school Sports also gains confidence in bonds with kids that they might not normally interact with and if they didn't if they didn't play the same sport I feel that this is extremely important and I don't understand why sports are not back into the junior high level thank you thank you Rebecca we did receive your email and started staff on some of your concerns as well foreign evening board members evening ladies and gentlemen my name is Ken Bain I have a student going to Yucca Elementary she is a TK student um there's a bathroom stall right there that uh adjacent to the park gate it is usually wide open for the student to go in I have a concern about it because there's uh the stall it also has a little girl stall right next to it which is open to passerbys going by I've been mentioned this to the the school they said that they're going to have someone just go and close the doors and give them a little bit of privacy what I'm suggesting is either create a privacy barrier for the students to have their own privacy or have a monitor or Proctor be there to help the students be able to get in there and get assisted another issue I have is yesterday my daughter was sent home due to allergies but they considered it covet I'd have worked as a government employee not only for the U.S army but as a VA uh housekeeper where I was close in contact with covet students covet's patients I know the symptoms I explained this to the to this school not once but twice multiple times as well I've had doctor's notes go to the school they refuse to go and acknowledge that they tell me I have to go drive 50 miles to my daughter's doctor to get another doctor's note every year I refuse on doing that that's a violation of not only HIPAA but patient privacy and on top of that when I watched the other day a student take down the American flag he just balled it up when I offered to amend my services to teach these students how to honor this flag that I've served that I've watched my brothers and sisters fight for they told me oh we'll take care of it and I have watched these students go and do it Time After Time Again I've looked at adults sitting there that are Tas and refuse to even offer a knowledgeable assistance on it I ask that you guys allow me to at least teach these guys the sacrifice that is given to these to this flag I've watched so many of my brothers and sisters pay the ultimate price and to watch it be balled up it offends me it breaks my heart to see these students don't see the the sacrifices made for this I ask that you allow me to go and teach these students what this means to not only me but other veterans in the community and let them see that the patriotism in this flag means more than what they understand right now thank you for your time [Applause] because uh your patients too uh being here for several hours to speak we appreciate it we'll take your comments under consideration thank you all right there's no further cards to speak there Connie okay um move on to superintendent comments training there's several wonderful things that have happened in the district over the course of the last month just this past week we were notified that Granite Hills High School and Apple Valley High School students were acknowledged by the college board and have received National Hispanic recognition Awards Alex Sanchez Kim Alexander from Granite Hills High School National Hispanic recognition award and National Rural and small town award I love that it says rural in it because that's why we didn't start late this year and even the national school boards or the um um College Board recognizes that um then Catherine Holland national Rural and small town award Kimberly solar soltero National Hispanic recognition award and National Rural and small town award manev Patel National world and small town award son Robinson National African-American recognition award Apple Valley High School April Cortaro National Hispanic recognition award Brian camancho National Hispanic recognition award Emma Castillo National Hispanic recognition award John Salgado National Hispanic recognition award John villain villain fan National Hispanic recognition award nailey Vargas National Hispanic recognition award and Sophia Brandt National Hispanic recognition award those are a big deal foreign there will be a press release there will be postings to social media regarding that last week our nutrition services department was at Rancho Verde introducing a salad bar and training the students on how to access that salad bar and that doesn't sound like a big deal at a high school level but when you're teaching transitional kindergartners and kindergartners how to use the salad bar only imagine what it looks like but they had fun um on Tuesday August 30th just this week I was able to go over to a first grade classroom at Sandia and spend some time teaching about monk seals the only mammal that is um natural to the Hawaiian islands and um I had a close encounter not personally but my husband I was on the shore screaming for his safety um and so the kids were excellent I had almost 50 of them in a room they sat for almost 45 minutes like I kept thinking they're gonna they're gonna run out of patience nope they kept singing they kept playing and they um kept telling me what was important about mammals so um those are the things that I enjoy doing when I get to get into a classroom and remind myself what this job is really about um we also had school visits for Williams um checks and I will tell you that on multiple campuses as the team from San Bernardino County went through and checked the facilities they commented that they had been throughout San Bernardino County and when they got assigned another school in Apple Valley they were thrilled because they have been maintained while they are being well taken care of and they love to come and see what was going on on the campuses um I also was able to attend the Apple Valley High School versus Granite Hills High School volleyball game I sat on the gr on the Apple Hot Side by accident initially because I didn't know but I did know one of the players that was playing for Apple at that point it was the JV game so at the the time that it was over I moved down to Granite and the dad asked me which girl is yours and I said none of them and he kept pushing why was I there I at first I thought he was thinking it was a little bit creepy I was just sitting in the audience cheering for volleyball so I finally explained who I was and we had a wonderful talk and I was there to watch Granite Hills beat Apple Valley high school so um in their house super respectful for both sides and it was wonderful Piers Camp was um going on this week over at the selpa we usually hold it here we now have a new location they love the sofa they could do quick breakouts these are the students that are trained in crisis response and support to other students throughout or adults throughout the system when we've had um staff members pass away the peers come alongside and they support students um in tragedy and and times um really exciting to watch that process um active shooter training has continued we were at Phoenix academy yesterday um again with the fire department Sheriff's Department our own Police Department presenting and then one comment about parent volunteers we were working really hard to push on a change to the California Department of Public Health guidelines currently the guidelines for parent volunteers more than just a meeting is all about a covid vaccination or testing just like an employee we don't have systems in place nobody nobody offers support to do that where we would house and store those things and so right now we're just hoping that that changes I would love advocacy in that area from parents that are interested to push on the California Department of Public Health to make changes to those rules because we do want our parents back in our classrooms supporting we know it's necessary and our teachers are asking they are not hoping that this doesn't go away they want it gone now so um just on that front I wanted people to be aware of that and then being out on school campuses um I hit two to three uh a week during parent drop-off just because it's great to greet children and I um get to watch dignity Community authenticity and service happening modeled by the adults and the students and I think the best part is when I get to talk to students they don't know who I am they get to talk to me and they're always kind and caring and they always respond you know there's none of this walk by and ignore so I encourage board members to work with Kylie to get you out on campuses she'll schedule time with administrators so that you have undivided attention and can get into classrooms with them and they love to show off their schools thank you trinae I was the the thing with the seal was your husband screaming for help or were you yesterday now my husband was snorkeling in a bay that there was no other people snorkeling and there was a monk seal that approached him and he didn't know it and so all I saw was a fin I thought it was a shark and I've always joked that if that were to happen I swim faster than he does but I wasn't in the water making sure you had permission to tell the audience that he was yelling for help all right Wilson so do you have anything you'd like to add no I just said a quick comment yeah I do I don't think we have received any uh any information on the monkey Parks I mean yeah exchange or any vaccination but we should stay focused on that to see what's happening on that and at the same time I um I expressed concern about Fentanyl and I watched on Fox News in some place I don't know what city the defense you know God makes into work with candies just small candies and and I'm real concerned if that kind of stuff being given to any of our kids here in Victor Valley it means it's a very toxic chemical so I just want us to be vigilant on on the issue that's all I have thank you Wilson Maria well bear with me um this week has been a very fascinating week for me I'm going to start with my school visits um I went to Rio Vista I went to Desert notes and I went to Mariana let me start with Rio Vista I went to Rio Vista and the kids were absolutely amazing but I will start with the office staff they were so welcoming because they didn't know who I was it was after I got in that I put on my badge I wanted to just walk in and be like every other person but they were so welcoming and very polite and then I went out to the School classrooms and the teachers were engaged the students were engaged the playground was impeccably clean which was odd for elementary school and I saw the students disagreeing but I disagreeing politely they will use the correct verbiage I disagree with you because and I have this evidence to prove it and I thought how could that possibly be then I went on to um desert nose doesn't know so it's this afternoon um you know it was hot it was a really hot day um but I walked into the one of the classrooms and they had me engaged the students and the teacher decided to give me this wand and I thought I would just you know use the one and and make things go away but the wand was so that I could speak and I had the one it allowed me to say what I was thankful for and I have to say to you on this day I was truly thankful for air conditioning the place was well air conditioned the teacher the principal had increment whether um ideas enrolling so that the students didn't go outside they stayed inside they ate their lunch and they stayed inside the teachers entertained them and kept them busy and I thought that was impressive and above all I was thankful that I was looking at all these beautiful children who were learning and didn't know anything about who I was and I like that I like to go to places where they don't know me unfortunately my voice gives gives it off then I went to Mariana the Mariana class one of the classes gave me this Avid chair um and they gave me the the chair so that I will have the energy to walk through the the campus but I I hate to stop there because sometimes we are so busy enjoy join the trees we enjoy the trees outside we enjoy the leaves on the trees but we don't pay attention to what is holding that tree up we have the root underneath the tree we have the soil and those are your support staff and sometimes we fail to acknowledge that those people are the people that make us shine and so I'm going to take this opportunity to truly truly thank the support staff for all of what they do in the background that we don't notice because we notice all the things that makes the other people look pretty um but otherwise I can say that we're doing a good job we're listening I'm hearing people and they are listening to each other and I'm truly thankful to the young people who came today to share with us the good things that are happening at their stores and and to open their hearts to what we have to offer uh in one of the classrooms I had to tell the the little kindergartners that I'm looking forward to them getting all the education so they can pay my Social Security and so thank you so much for letting me speak tonight and inviting me into your hearts thank you Maria Christopher Nunez all right uh first off I can't believe it's September who did that so in case you're on the countdown yes we're basically halfway to fall break so um first off I want to say thank you so much I was able to get out this month so far and visit all but two schools so far Apple Valley High School in Phoenix we're coming let's schedule it um but I just want to say thank you so much to everybody who came to this school year with a great attitude and ready for a true Fresh Start it's really evident on all of our campuses and it's it's got a really great Buzz going on um I do want to do a one direct shout out um mainly to our counselors I am so impressed I had the great opportunity of walking in at High Desert Phoenix Academy and I had got the opportunity to meet their brand new counselor just a few days before where he stopped in my office at uh Victor Valley College to ask about Pro programs and support for students when I stopped by at hdpa I was in his office for less than 10 minutes and no less than four students stopped by to ask hey Mr Serrano do you know if I can get a job welding or do you know if I can get a job as an automotive technician where do I go to school for that can I do that at BBC or can I do that at somewhere else up here and I know that is happening over and over and over again so thank you so much not only to our counselors but to everybody who's showing these opportunities to students to go out get special training and come and live and work right here in our community so keep that up we need that another shout out congratulations again to the recognition shown to our family centers if you haven't had the opportunity to join at one of our family centers to see what kinds of resources or things they offer please do so and I gotta get me one of those shirts it's a good one um I'd like to say thank you very much to Chief Molina and the presentation tonight for for our PD I've had the great opportunity to go out and do right along ones with our PD and I can tell you firsthand that the interactions that they're having with our students are positive they're things that they will be remembered and the things that can be built upon I mean we did everything from what jumping ropes to doing push-ups I think Chief went through a couple thousand stickers that day we're gonna have to up his sticker budget but thank you very much to all of you for getting out there and support in the office and then lastly um uh superintendent Nelson brought up our adult education center and and Mrs McLean the head of that location having been recognized I just wanted to tell you if you have an opportunity or where you think you need a little bit of continuing education maybe you want to be a substitute you need to take your sea best there are so many resources and opportunities offered at our adult education center here in Apple Valley and I highly encourage you or somebody you know that might be able to use one of those resources to please check it out it is outstanding and her staff is incredible so thank you all so much for coming on tonight I know it's a little bit longer one but we really appreciate it so thank you all very much and enjoy your holiday weekend thank you Chris uh Dennis uh this is one of the smoothest starts I've seen in a school year and I want to thank Molino Caesar on your report we have a phenomenal Police Department you know it's the difference between a street cop and a school cop it really is we're dealing with kids there's a different attitude you have to have and I just want to say that I'm glad that everything's going the way it has and especially with the negotiations it looks like it's all going to work out and thank you thank you Dennis I don't have anything further to add but we do need to move on to item G conduct a public hearing to determine that each pupil in each School in Apple Valley Unified School District has or will have prior to the end of the eighth week of school sufficient textbooks and or instructional materials for the 2023 school year and um Pat do you have anything that you want to add to that I don't other than to mention that the Williams visits are sort of highlight the fact that that's uh they've come and verified that at the four schools that were visited this year and this is um a standard requirement to open this hearing and hear public comment on sufficiency okay and I'm going to continue reading and then we'll um Education Code 60119 and CCR Title Five Section 9531 subsection C require the governing board of any local agency receiving instructional materials funds from any state source to hold a public hearing on the sufficiency of textbooks or instructional materials by the end of the eighth week of school are there any questions or comments from members of the board regarding the pupil textbook and instructional materials compliance K-12 2022 2023 school year I have one comment um I went through one of the schools uh today and I saw the extensive textbooks that they had in the shelves to um to indicate that the students had enough textbooks for all grid levels and there was not one when you go through the textbooks you will clearly see that the district has sufficient textbooks for all students okay any other comments no okay I now open the public hearing regarding the pupil textbook and instructional materials compliance K-12 2022 2023 school year for public comment at the time which is 8 43 um hearing no further uh public comment we have to leave it open for one minute one minute thank you foreign on the textbook I maybe I want Mrs Slauson maybe looking to give us a report in the future there's there's a concern Express on a major TV channel that can we finish can we finish the time for this first okay well I can I can close the uh public comment at 8 44.

good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome into the aces wild pregame show presented by aces wild video game and parlor make sure you get up to aces wild this week they got the queen of hearts benefiting the columbia quarterback club with the jackpot up to eighteen hundred dollars now so two weeks into it and they got a lot of way to go in front of them alex schlummer along with jared germain jared we're out here we're with the students tonight we got the white out coming on military appreciation night and mr santorum's got himself a tailgate going on out here so pretty neat little stuff that they got going on now yeah got some bags you know coach sandstrom over here making burgers and hot dogs for all the kids uh it's rivalry week so we've got to get the kids ready to go that's a big thing get the kids ready to go we used to have pep rallies and everything and i don't know if they do anymore but getting the kids out here and getting them involved in the pregame show that's got to be something fun for them and fun for the players too when they walk around the corner that's going to be cool for them to see yeah and that the music will be bumping and i'm sure those kids will definitely be ready once they see all their buddies out here and get them pumped up ready to go we mentioned military appreciation night we've got the sons of the american legion cooking for the players we got songs for soldiers we'll be interviewing dustin rau they're a week away tonight's a big night just honor the military personnel and it's going to be a fun night here in columbia and like you said rivalry week that's a whole new week and i think you said last week there's a lot of stuff going on tonight with the mascot race and the rally tiles going on so yeah a lot a lot of stuff going on tonight so make sure you get that rally towel out tonight we get it waving get it waving all year long it's going to be something that we're going to be able to keep and hopefully bring those in week in and week out and jared you look at a rivalry week what's something that stuck out to you i know waterloo is always our biggest rivalry um i can't say i have very good memories i don't think i ever beat them in any sport that goes so hopefully you had some more success yeah i don't think we ever lost whenever i was in high school but one memory that definitely strikes my mind we were playing at waterloo uh nick horner was our quarterback their their sophomore year and we were losing and sam during the time out sam horner said i'm wide open down the middle i'm gonna hit a little poser out and guess what nick hit him on that post route and victory well it's gonna be a fun atmosphere here tonight we got a little bit of weather that could be coming in but you know what it's always gonna be a fun night and you come into this rivalry week columbia coming off that 49-26 loss last week to muscuda and when we talked to coaches in the holton meets coaches corner they were pretty thrilled and pleased with how it went and it was just a big match up last week that we had and quincy hall and alan middleton that was just the story of the night yeah i mean you could take away a lot of good things and a lot of bad things from last week i to myself i thought it was going to be a lot more blowout than was but kids came out ready to play had a lot more experience coming back from last year so i think tonight they got that first game under their belt all the jitters are out and i think they'll be ready to go and that's going to be the big thing getting the jitters out from your first start as a varsity player but now you've got the jitters of rivalry week in waterloo you know it's going to be a bunch of people here and you know it's going to be a rocking atmosphere so coach horner mentioned in that coach's corner you know we got to have the few mistakes we got to have good good time of possession good possessions and that's going to be one big thing you know last week we get the ball right out of the gate throw an interception albeit it was tipped but you know you throw the pick six right away and big time games you can't make those mistakes and you're gonna have a game like that tonight yeah and it's hard to come back from uh pick six and we know number 12 back there he once he makes a mistake he's going to put his head down he's going to try to do anything he can to forget that mistake so i think having 12 and back there as our quarterback i think tonight we should see some big things from him and defensively i thought we did a pretty good job you know we give up that quick pick six and other than that we we did a good job uh stopping them when we needed to except when it got to third down we you know we'd get that third and short we couldn't stop them we get a third and long we couldn't stop them so that was one thing we talked with coach germain you know how are you going to get off the field this week and he said that's one thing he's going to challenge his guys on yeah like we've said over the years the ben don't break i'm sure all these people are tired of us saying that but i mean it really comes down to that when you get a third and five third and six every every series it's nice to get a stop so hopefully we'll see that from the defense tonight and you're going to need it on a game like tonight big game it's going to be a fun atmosphere you're going to have to get off the football field and you know on the conditions like we said tonight it might as well be raining as humid hot as it is right now i feel like i don't know why but i feel like every time we play waterloo it rains because i remember back whenever i was in like 7th or 8th grade they had to cancel the game on friday night and they played saturday morning but i feel like every time we play waterloo in the past five or six years it's rained almost every night well that's enough of last week we're gonna run into a break and we'll come back with the aces wild pregame show after this [Applause] welcome back to the aces wild pre-game show presented by aces wild video game and parlor and uh coach sandstrom you got yourself a heck of a fan group out here tonight absolutely absolutely i uh i wanted to get blue crew back up and going a little bit i thought it was kind of lacking the last couple years and obviously we got a great turnout and they're all fired up our school spirit right now is unbelievable and you're gonna need that just like a basketball game you need that school spirit whenever you got a big game and they're gonna need that tonight so you mentioned blue crew the kids are able to come out they get to have these uh these tailgates and they get to get into the bags tournaments and it's something that you have to have at school absolutely school spirit and all that type of stuff is awesome and uh we just got a really good group of kids out there that have really bought into the themes and our membership we almost have to have have half the school uh signed up for blue crew which is just tremendous is this something blue crew is this something that's been going on for years have you been in charge of it or what's your goals for it in the future here too we just want the kids to be active and have good school spirit and come to events you know there's been some home events already this year that we've had you know double and triple the number of people that have come before so we just want to increase school spirit and make sure we support all of our sports teams and as you know our sports teams have been very successful the course and it makes a lot more fun when you have a lot more people there and uh so that's my that's my whole goal so the big question if me and you team up would we be able to take everyone out here in the bags and the bags yes oh we would be we'd probably be even money favorites all right i like that i can go for that even money is always a good thing well thanks for coming out here tonight looking at the blue crew tailgate we got going on we've got burgers and brats like we said and so any students if you want to come out get something to eat they're still hot we're going to run to one more break real quick and we will be back with the aces wild pregame show after this pre-game show presented by aces wild video game and parlor coach sandstrom here he's got the dogs and the burgers going and he's getting them ready for tonight friday night lights columbia versus waterloo coach santrum just said any students that want to come by get a bite to eat get some corn hole going we got six boards going out right now all sorts of games out here to play and it's all just get the guys ready for tonight and we come into this game here tonight against waterloo typically a run heavy offense they showed that last week they came out victorious to modern day 13 to 2 and a game that they didn't really do too much but they did just enough yeah uh i don't know much about modern day but um i mean i don't think waterloo's beat modder day in some some time so seeing that score last week kind of shocked me and made me really get ready for tonight's because i'm assuming we're going to see a big game here they're running back i believe it's evan davis from last year big time guy last year and waterloo came in or we went to waterloo last year and just got absolutely throttled i think that was a 49-21 game something like that and evan davis had a good game and last week he had another good game and he put up some good numbers on the ground and in the air and i believe last year uh on their first drive they scored and their fans were ready to go so tonight if we get the ball first we got to get get fans going and get everybody going so we can uh get a big win tonight and that's what you got to do you got to get the fans in a game like tonight you got to get them in you got to keep them in there too so last week we got the ball out of the gate let's hope this week we can do the same thing and you look at the waterloo offense here like we said run heavy they've got four or five guys that could get the ball and they got a quarterback who could run the ball too so talking to coach germaine how are you going to be able to key on that and the one thing they said assignment football yeah and something that you have to always be ready for on a run first offense is your safeties and corners cannot fall asleep tonight um i know in the past i know a lot of corners and safeties when they play waterloo they'll want to come up and try to make some tackles because they're not getting much much action back there but all it takes is one little play action right over your head pass so uh safeties and corners gotta be ready and one thing they do they put a lot of guys at that wing back position and that's one guy that gets lost in there you think he's a you think he's a blocker and all of a sudden he's 20 yards down the field and now you got yourself a big play and a touchdown so you're hoping that your safety's corners stay stay awake don't fall asleep and uh you hope that those linemen they have to hit their keys and that's one big thing if your lineman makes a tackle it should be because he hit his key and the running back was right there your linebackers should be the ones making the tackles on honor defense oh exactly uh you have defensive linemen that just fill those gaps then you have guys like don vagel and brendan white who can come in and fill those gaps make those tackles for short losses hopefully and that's going to be one thing short losses no big plays eliminate those big plays and you should have yourself a good victory at the end of the night and that's what we hope for colombia is coming into this game 18 and 16 career vs waterloo chs that is and coach horner coming in at 10 and 9 so he's hoping to stay over that 500 mark and i don't know of any team that we play regularly that he has a losing record can you think of one canton canton that was a well that was playoffs right yeah that's a that doesn't count that's not regular 0-1 that's it's not bad that was a good game though so jared the big question give me your score prediction for tonight oh man you're gonna do that to me already uh let's go um we'll go 31 28 eagles and a close one all right i can go for that i like that score i'm gonna go a little less points though for uh the bulldogs i'm gonna say columbia 35 i think coach horner gets that offense going and we got a bunch of athletes hopefully we're able to keep that going and i think defensively coach g he'll have it figured out and uh i'm going to go 35 i'll give him 18.

i'll throw that the goofy number out there so uh i think that does it for us out here at the student tailgate as you can see military appreciation night and a whiteout going on so we're going to have a lot of fun out here tonight and we're gonna head up to the booth here and we'll be back with first kickoff after this the final seven minutes of the aces wild pregame show ladies and gentlemen and we're live up here in the booth alex schlemmer and jared germain jared you got a little bit of intensity and a little little fun getting ready to get going yeah music's rocking right now everybody's lined up out on the field with the band as long as the blue crew waiting for uh columbia eagles to take the field taking the field's always a big thing it was always a neat thing whenever you come around the school that final time and you see all the people standing there you know you're out here for warm-ups you notice the people but whenever you make that right hand turn and you look and you see the people and you can start hearing the music it always gets exciting i mean look i got chills right now alex every time you're back for your first home game of the year especially against the waterloo team that's 15 minutes down the road uh it's always pretty special and it's always fun to get back and get to that home field and get that home field advantage that uh you you love and you enjoy playing and it's always fun playing at home and playing in front of these fans yeah and these fans are uh looks like they're gonna be uh still filing in right now but it looks like it's going to be a packed house you already got waterloo fans over there all the way down the fence and i'm sure you'll have a lot of columbia fans along the fence on this side as well so going to be a packed house tonight it's always a little deceiving whenever we got this part of the game coming right now because it's like man these eagles bleachers over here they're not very full well you got all the the blue crew and they had a great job out there in the uh blue crew setup and tailgate that mr sandstrom did so once they come this place really gets rocking and hopefully we bring that intensity that mosquitos fans in student section had last week they had a lot of fun yeah last week uh moscuta fans were rocking the whole the whole mezzanine up there we were up there in the press box and we thought we were going to fall down because it was shaking but yeah those fans last week were pretty loud and i mean from the from the jump right off that pick six i mean it was loudest i've heard it in a long time at a high school football game so um i'm hoping columbia can do the same thing tonight on our home turf well you got hells bells getting ready to get started now as you see the guys walking down the uh the entranceway led by zach daly he's always fun he's always ready to get going every season and they're going to have a lot of fun so you look right now it's last five minutes what's the coach's game plan what's coach's last thoughts hey guys you got to get on the field let's go get this done i mean i think on the defensive side of the ball you just gotta stop the on third downs i mean last week we did a great job on first and second down um forcing them to third and fourth down uh third and longs fourth and longs but we couldn't make those stops so hopefully this week our defense is ready and can make those third and fourth down stops getting off the field is going to be the key to the game tonight and it's going to take a lot it's going to take all 22 guys to get the job done here you look at the last like you said last five minutes here before the game got the band out there they're going to have a lot of fun and the blue crew running now across the whole track now everyone's coming up and it's like i said it's a file and it's kind of neat to be able to see that all the kids are coming up here and it's neat to be able to show that all the kids are here yeah and blue crew looks looks pretty good this year i mean the last couple years that numbers have been down i would say in the blue crew but looking down there now looks like you got a lot at least 200 kids down there so good to see all the kids coming out and supporting their uh their buddies well it's military appreciation night here in columbia we had an interview with uh dustin rowe the founder of songs for soldiers he honored a veteran that for two years ago i believe he said it was chris was the guy's name he got blown up in iraq the way he said it point blank and uh had some ankle issues and has a huge steep yard that he is unable to mow with his push mower so by county engine small engines they just donated a whole exmark to him so wow kind of neat to see and for dustin to be able to show the the support in the local communities and where the money goes to yeah it's pretty special and that's next week correct that is the 9th and 10th ever clear on friday night the 9th and saturday is country low cash on a saturday night and they're going to be headed off with alexandra kaye the local star here now that you can see touring with tim mcgraw so that's pretty cool that's pretty awesome so make sure you get your tickets into that songs for soldiers event and it's always a great cause it's a great event all the concerts all day long i think it starts at three o'clock on saturday and six i believe on friday so go to songs for soldiers.com and we'll talk with dustin at halftime tonight too and he'll be able to give you some more details we'd like to thank the sons of the legion keeping with that military appreciation the sons of the legion tonight cooked for the ball club so no chick-fil-a no mcdonald's they got pulled chicken for dinner tonight so uh pretty neat for them to be able to come out and show their support as well and the suns are still selling down by the band so if anybody's down or down by the band behind the abandoned concession stand if anyone wants to get down there don't forget about the veterans honor cue which takes place saturday november 5th starts at 10 a.m with the veterans parade starts at the cafe on the abbey makes its way to the american legion which the honor queue happens after that and that's a big competition with professional grade teams of barbecue and that's something i've been torn them a little bit now and uh the barbecue you get there that's better than what you're making pretty good yeah better than what you're making in your uh your backyard so i'd like to thank the sons of the legion for that as well so we're gonna head into the national anthem presented by the columbia band and we will be back after [Music] high this other members of the polygamy cadet airman [Music] austin ladies and gentlemen [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] great job once again by mr avis rouse there and getting the band going and always a good rendition of the national anthem and something that we take for granted i believe whenever we go other places we do pretty well every weekend week out what's the best national anthem that you think you've heard from a band in your time i don't know i remember we played at morton uh my junior year and that was the best band i have ever i think they had 300 kids in the band and oh my gosh it sounded like i was in an orchestra it was awesome we'll make sure fans you get those rally tiles out tonight as well they were given to us from freshly pressed creations so we'd like to thank them on getting these rally towels for both the columbia and the waterloo fans something that we hope we're able to do year in and year out i believe when i watched the coin toss i believe the eagles deferred i'm gonna have to uh we'll figure out if i'm right or not it was one of those looking around and and uh i think that's what the official election it looks like that ref's waiting uh right at the 40 for one of the columbia guys to come get the ball and set the t up eagles captains tonight number 12 dominic vaguely 23 brennan wike number three zach wetzel and number 15 hayden habermill so look at that i did see correctly eagles didn't choose to kick so which means they're going to be able to get the second half started with the ball so we're going to see what this defense can do last week pretty good week did what they could and we'll see last week was a double-headed monster pretty even offense with running in throwing this week it's going to be on the ground we are underway in the route 3 rivalry here in columbia as don vagley sends it deep going to be caught at the 3 yard line good coverage by the eagles getting down to the field and gets down to the and that's where the bulldogs offense is going to start their night they're going to be led by quarterback number eight aiden morrow and that three different running backs who could all get the ball at any time and we're gonna have to watch out for that number 23 evan davis tonight last week he had 12 carries for 56 yards on almost five yards of carry so coach germain definitely honing in on number 23 tonight going to be interesting with the run heavier the eagles going to be in a three-man front four-man front could they switch it up looks like we're going to start with three down linemen and four linebackers like we talked about going to be a tight end everyone's stacked in the box for the bulldogs motion man's number 11.

they're going to toss it to him on the left side great job by the eagles getting there but it's going to be a pass over the top and it's going to be caught by none other than number 23 evan davis and what we talked about got to keep your head on the swivel and waterloo coming out top yeah we talked about that in the pre-game pre-game show uh we know they're going to come out trying to run the ball all over us and first play they do a fake little toss there and 23 snuck out and great pick up there for waterloo to start off the game number 11 there the running back kobe osterhagi was the one that made the throw waterloo comes up to the line of scrimmage almost we're going to call it like a dead call and now they're going to audible over to the formation that they want everyone's down at the line of scrimmage all tight motion man again they're going to fake the up the middle to the dive they're going to come to the right side and it's going to be a missed tackle and going to be caught finally eight yards down the field and once again number 23 evan davis with the carry it looks like those corners are zack wetzel and i think that's bilteman again uh i think they're putting wetzel on the side that uh there's less people on so i think they're shifting shifting now on the offense just to see what our uh defense what looks we can get here you never know the quarterback here only two yards deep so it is a shotgun snap number eleven oyster hoggie in motion they're gonna give the ball to him he's gonna run to the left side good job pursuit by the eagles and it's gonna be led by number 55 for colombia that's a good tackle at the line of scrimmage that was brandon jackson middle linebacker there looked like it was just a simple simple hand-off there and brandon jackson did his job got to got to the gap he needed to be and made the tackle for a third down here once again waterloo switching around their their look at the start columbia does a great job though going with the audible and figuring out where they want to go looks like we're going to have four man front this time with jackson moving up from the linebacker position you're going to go under center it's going to be a dive to the right side there you go it's going to be stuffed right away and it's going to be close to a first down but i don't think they're going to have enough look like a flock of eagles on that on that tackle there and it looks like they're they are gonna be a little short they might keep their offense on the field looks like they're gonna go for it here on fourth down and half and half an inch probably i won't get the index card out i wonder if they ever start and finish in that formation they just showed two tight end set one tight end set rather full back and running no quarterback's going to hand it off to that fullback and evan davis and he's just going to get i'm sorry that's not davis that was number 33.

and he's going to get that extra yard that he needs number 33 max mitchell 510 190. you look at that offensive line there for the bulldogs they got a lot of size 245 245 260. 250. 50. yep big dogs up front gonna be a pass play to the right side simple roll out number eight's gonna throw it it's gonna be tipped and intercepted by zach wetzel have yourself a week again zach wetzel right spot right time it seems like last week we said that about five or six times with him um there on that play it was just a simple tipped pass and zach wetzel is in the right spot eagles offense comes out on the field and see if we can get something going early ben don't break mentality once again out of coach jermaine he's giving up a couple yards and able to make the stop so now we'll see what this eagles offense is able to do and go tight end right sniffer back right going to be a handoff with vaguely he's going to keep it to himself to the right side he's going to make a couple of men miss keeps his feet moving he's got himself a first down he's going to get another man to miss takes out the official and that's all right that's good for 20 yards and a first down eagle eagles down what do you think waterloo's game plan was this week stop stop stop number 12.

i think i'm going to have number 12 and that's the one guy that's not going to beat me in one run got himself a 20-yard gain are going to set up in the same formation that up back is going to be brennan wike they use blake there as a lead blocker on that play and i love it going to be a rolled snap back to him but it's going to be picked up and dropped pick it up by number 11 nick janick on the play and uh i think he just wanted to start running too quick yeah i think he took his eyes off the football and put his eyes up field before he even caught the ball seeing uh where he could go after he caught it but got to bring that ball in first before you can get in the arts bringing guys in now number 15 coming in for the eagles is habermill wetzel's going to shift from the right side to the left side now coming in number five maddox stef doubles look for the eagles here running back is going to be carter hicks he's just going to be a lead block and does a great job and it's going to be vaguely to the left side but the problem is number five matic stefan i believe is going to be called for a hold right there i don't think last week we saw carter hicks in the backfield at all and i i kind of like that putting a big body back there and leading the way for uh number 12 to find a hole but holding out here and looks like we're going to lose some yardage that was a good little play i do like hicks coming out there and being that lead blocker he's got that big frame of 6'5 220 and uh showed right there that he can be physical and push a couple guys around his arms are probably alarming my whole body that's not saying thanks so that's a big penalty there for the eagles is going to be a loss of 10 from the spot of the foul so that's going to bring up a second down and 20 we're going to call it same formation just to the right side now it's going to be once again hicks being the lead man vaguely going to make a couple guys miss it's a great stalk block how about hover mill there and it's going to be good to get us back into a third down and six huge play i like the play calls here by coach horner early go into your uh going to your guy number 12.

got to get him the ball early and just see if he can make plays um because then later on you can throw the ball around a little bit have defense on their heels going to be a on the bulldogs number 25 right there is going to be bryce reese the man who just made the tackle is going to be called for the offside penalty so now you go from a third and six to the third one at the bulldogs 43-yard line and we had a second and about what 18 there yeah double set here for the eagles four down lineman another slow snap to the back but it's all right it's picked up by vaguely lowers the shoulder and gets that first down for the eagles it's probably about the third snap that's been rolled to him tonight so we'll see uh who is that up there at center jackson brandon jackson yeah you got number 73 kenningstein antonus number 72.

jackson's your center number 55. schnabel's on that right side and i believe that's 75 joe kish out there as well doubles to the right side sniffer back right we're going to throw it to the left side into the boundaries and it's going to be a loss on the play not really sure what was happening there but uh based on where it looks like nick jannik is i think he had the wrong play in mind yeah and we saw that play a couple times last week where they they run that running back out to this side on a little motion and he didn't throw it last week and that would just have guys flying out to this left side of the field and then dom would just keep it and go all the way to the right side so i think coach horner is just going to run a couple plays here to see how waterloo is going to battle up against it and then we can take a shot later on doubles are right side sniffer back left running back left they fake it to the left vaguely's going to go to the right he's going to have to make a couple guys miss and he's going to get two yards and bring up a third and 11 and you look at coach horner right there constantly talking constantly thinking and like you said he's just trying to get the line of scrimmage and establish the line of scrimmage when you have a guy like dom vagley who can set the edge and get to the outside and put pressure on your defense it makes it a lot easier to play or to play call and um to send those plays into don vagley because i mean he can make something out of nothing and it's pretty nice to see him do his thing but we got a third and 11 here hopefully we can pick up some yards and pick up first down third and 11 trips to the left side you look over here there's only two defenders on this left side so we'll see what coach warner decides to do it's going to be a roll to the left and an off-balance throw it's going to be caught by wetzel and he's going to be hit right away and it's going to be a gain of six and if you look at where you are right now jared what's going on in your mind when it's fourth and six you've been running the ball with dom pretty much this whole drive i would uh i'd go back to him here fourth and sixth i'd i'd bring trips to the boundary over here and i would run don bagley to the far side of the field but we'll see what coach horner's got drawn up six down lineman now for waterloo there's six guys up at the line of scrimmage looks like they're gonna be bringing the house and finally they're gonna send one out in coverage doubles for the eagles here motion man is hicks they're gonna run to the right side with vaguely great block by hicks he's got to try to get up field he's going to be able to get up field he's got a first down and more he's going for the pylon and he's going to be tripped out of bounds now at the 17 and a great run there by vaguely and a great call by coach horner and you jared hey thank you great block there by carter hicks and that's somebody's name we didn't say too much last week and we've already said it a couple times here tonight yeah two big blocks that he's had on this on his first drive here and it's nice to get a big body like him out in front of dom vaguely not a lot of guys want to come up and try to take him out so um great play call camera played calls so far cameron yannick the sophomore comes and now he's going to be a tight end to that right side hudson bryant also came into the game he's going to be a running back we're going to hand the ball off to him up the middle he's going to lower the shoulder and get four yards and now we're at the 14-yard line and coach horner here he's got everything rolling the way he wants to yeah and he's not really doing doing much tempo right now but he's getting his guys on the line of scrimmage and we're picking up three four yards of play which is nice uh we'll see if on this second down play if we can maybe take a shot to the end zone uh i know that don bague's got an arm and he could put it pretty much anywhere you need it i'd run a corner out all the way to this wide side of the field over here to this wide side you're going to have zach wetzel and brendan white number three number 23.

wike is going to be your slot receiver extra sniffer back running back is going to be brian it's going to be a play action going to be caught by white he's going to have to make a man miss but he doesn't that's all right that's going to be good for another first down and first and goal for the eagles i think that was wetzel on that nice block there because you have uh brennan wike in the slot and then you have zach wetzel out here all the way on the outside so if that cornerback lines up inside of you you know uh that pass is getting right behind you so you got to come up and make that block on that corner great job there by wetzel pick up the first first down bilteman comes into the game now number 14 the wide receiver going to be an empty look for the eagles sniffer back up back is going to be hicks to the right side all in the left hash you're going to be running with hicks being the lead blocker and vaguely's keeping himself he's keeping his feet moving he's getting pushed with the linemen and they're going to blow it dead great effort by all of the eagles right there was moving leading the way with the offensive lineman getting the blocks down there tom kenningstein anthony antonis kenningstein 285 antonus 240.

they're getting some movie bodies moving down there so we got second and two here from the two so we're on the what is that the left hash a little bit we'll call it the left hash 3 15 to go in the first quarter on a great opening drive same place the eagles they're going to fake the pass and it's going to be kept by vaguely he's going to try to stretch is he going to get in and he is eagles touchdown [Applause] dominic vaguely on the gr run for colombia great job by vaguely there keeping his feet moving and he was able to stretch it over the over the goal line get in for the eagles and a great opening drive yeah on first hand second down there you had those linemen pushing from the back uh on dom vaguely try to get him in the end zone and luckily he was able to stretch across there for a eagles touchdown for the p.a.t here it's going to be wetzel being here boulder and vaguely doing the kicking it's going to be a muff getting it down and gets absolutely crushed and vaguely is going to almost fall on the ball still rattling around and again another low snap but luckily nothing done there you look at coach it's going to be a missed p-a-t there coach kendall he takes a lot of pride in working on those on those pats and everything and like he said a couple weeks ago on the houghton meets coach's corner you know you could have a a great snap great hold great kick but it takes all three of them to get it done yeah and that was just one little one little bad hiccup there i think it was just the the snap was low like we said and we've seen that two or three times tonight on on the offensive side so um see if we can get that cleaned up and because i mean every point matters and coach kendall will tell you that i saw him right after that uh that play there and he walks straight to the sideline shaking his head he knows that's that's not good but eagles score six nothing well that'll send the route three rivalry scoreboard and the mandy mcguire scoreboard eagle six waterloo nothing with 305 remaining in the first quarter and we're gonna stick with it as they were able to uh get the ball switched around and uh one thing we're gonna have to wait on and i'll wait on this guy number 12.

i don't think he comes off the field well i think he's only not on punt return return that was the only thing i think as soon as i said it that's what i was thinking so we'll we'll wait for him maybe kick return too he might be on kick return though who knows don't think we've made a team point yet last week i don't think oh yeah late in the game i think they did but not in the first half so back to do the kicking for the eagles is going to be the senior dominic vagley after he gets in on that two-yard quarterback scamper into the end zone gonna be a low line drive he's gonna bounce at about the 11 gonna be picked up water is going to take it down the middle of the field showing a good patience there he's going to try to bend it to the left side is davis makes one man miss and finally going to be drugged down [Applause] in the back from up here but not going to be called so the waterloo bulldogs offense is going to take over at the 33-yard line look like a real late hit looks like maddox stuff in there took a lick after the the whistle went off but no call first down bulldogs so the bulldogs were able to move the ball a little bit there in that first drive last week they hit 260 yards of offense and just petered out in the end with that tipped interception by wetzel so hopefully the eagles defense is able to put the brakes on a little sooner this time everyone in the box for waterloo once again four down lineman for the eagles they're gonna fake the jet sweep know they're gonna give it to davis and he's gonna trip himself up and it'll be gain of nothing there's three or four eagles there and they've done a great job tonight forcing the ball back in and that's all coach remain talks about setting the edge and forcing everything back in especially those inside linebackers and outside linebackers most mostly the out outside linebackers because you got to force everything back inside where all your help is and you got the alignment and safeties and corners flowing to the football second and ten 225 remaining in the first quarter like to keep everybody here for that in between the first and second quarter we'll have a mascot race quarterback under center they're going to hand the ball off to the left side and it's going to be a great job by the eagles able to catch the guy in the backfield that running back he just cut his head down and he's going to run hard look like schnabel in on the tackle i believe [Music] i think last week in the first half we weren't too great against the run um so it's nice to see them getting maybe two yards of carry uh coach tremaine definitely put something in this week that has his d linemen ready and to fill those gaps i don't even know what to call that that shift and tight end for the bulldogs motion man to the right side gonna fake it and they're gonna have an option and it's gonna be option back and great job dominic vaguely he read that like a book didn't he great job running the voids and he's your defensive back or your linebacker there that's just having to flow with the football and he wasn't going to be fooled on that and that's usually he did is he did his job there uh i think i didn't see who it was that went to the quarterback but uh the pitch man was got a little tangled up there and had to had to pitch it away to his running back and number 12 was there to say no no no hey remember when we said he comes off for punt return uh he's our punt return that's a lie he's our punt returner so it's kick return the only thing he's not on fourth and 16 now for the bulldogs we're going to let the play clock run all the way down before the rugby style punt and it's going to be shanked off the left side and waterloo is going to get the good bounce and it's going to go out of bounds at the 46 yard line where the eagles offense will take over one thing that's driven me nuts year in and year out walking on the field walking off of the field yeah good job guys you just forced them negative six yards and offenses walked right by the defense so the eagles offense will start 36 seconds remaining in the first quarter from their own 45-yard line did a great job throwing and running the ball on that first drive trips to the left side running back left gonna be a quick just a now route to brennan he's going to catch it on the left side he's going to get to the sideline and he's going to gain nine and a good little run right there by week [Applause] he did a great job even though he was fighting for those extra yards he wasn't able to keep his feet in bounds but he still lowered the boom there at the end last week i think he had three or four catches just like that play uh where they have him him just back basically backpedaling and vaguely faking the run and just slinging it over to his left there um and he does a pretty good job of getting up field he doesn't try to get go outside and plan his do all this snazzy stuff he's going to put his head down he's going to hit you well he knows he's not going to run away from you so he's going to have to go through eagles with second one it's gonna be a simple play action pass this time caught by wetzel he's got a first down he's gonna take a couple guys on he's gonna get to the 40 before he gets thrown out of bounds and that's gonna be good for six yards in another eagle first down if i need to catch i know which number i'm going to yeah i think so too every time he catches the ball there zach wetzel he's got at least three to five yards of separation um so it's nice nice to see a little guy like that uh get open so easily and get yardage out of it and pick up a first down so that's gonna get us to the end of the first quarter where you look at that mandy maguire scoreboard eagles lead this one six to nothing and that's on a pretty good quarter there for the eagles offensively and defensively both very impressed with the defense there uh two two different drives there where i think our horn's having a little but those first two drives there last week i think we were down 19 nothing early and uh it's nice to be up six nothing so our defense playing a lot better tonight [Music] [Applause] looks like we're about to do the mascot race now eagle versus bulldog they're starting on this goal line all the way to our left what we like to call the wilderness and it looks like they're going to be running a hundred yards downfield oh alex could you do that right now no there's no chance i'm doing that you wouldn't race me you wouldn't want to race me no not at all so i guess we'll stick with you here and and they're off eagles got a good 10 yard start they're gonna get to the 40.

they're still in the lead but that bulldog's right behind he's tackling it at the 30 it's slowing down a little bit looks like the eagle yeah by a feather i love it great job there by both schools i like the fans that was awesome [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] great job there by the eagle getting down the field that's a quick hundred yard dash too yeah i wonder who that was down there great camry work there by our chs students as well bringing you that action doubles to the right side it's going to be vaguely he's going to tuck it and run he's going to make a ton back and he's going to keep his feet moving still juking himself around and it's going to be a gain of three on this first play of the second quarter looks like 57 schnabel slow to get up there and kind of holding his arm looking towards the sideline asking if he can get replaced real quick i don't know what happened but keep an eye on that right tackle uh see if waterloo noticed anything and bring some heat on that side because he was kind of limping when he got up there trips to the right side sniffer back right empty backfield on second and seven gonna be a pass vaguely's gonna have to be throwing out of bounds and he just had pressure right away in his face and that's the only thing he could do smart play there by vaguely for sure coach jermaine talked in the holton meets coach's corner which you can listen to on spotify on thursday nights he said waterloo's going to bring guys pretty much every play you just got to figure out where they're from and vaguely good enough to if we're if we're in a passing situation he reads that pretty quick he knows when guys are coming and when guys are going to be right in his face so it's nice to have a quarterback like that who can escape pressure and put one downfield and give his wide receivers a chance or he can get it with his feet that brings up a third and seven now for the eagles from the bulldogs 37.

gonna be another pass play he's looking right it looks like a draw actually now he's gonna have to make something out of nothing vaguely gonna try to run to the outside and he's gonna get out of bounds and it may not even be a loss of anything great job getting to the line of scratch [Music] a little slow drive there for columbia we'll see what coach horner wants to do here about a fourth and eight see uh looks like vaguely he's gonna walk back about 13 12 yards and looks like we're going to try to pin him deep because we like how our defense is playing so far in this first first half you looked down there and they had that view of coach horner you can see at the bottom of the screen there about the 41. you got sam horner on the sideline this week and he's coaching with coach hunt's going to get off to the right side it's going to bounce at the end a yard short so with the touch back the eagles defense will come back out under the field we're going to run to a break here with 1101 remaining in this first quarter or second quarter rather and we will be back after this [Music] welcome back bulldogs offense out onto the field in their primary formation we call it and then they're going to shift into what they're going to run their play he was a three down lineman five linebackers and three defensive backs looks like man to man just with your defensive backs going to be a fake up the middle going to be a reverse to the right side and brought down evan davis on the carry once again we talk a lot about him last week against modern day rushes for 56 yards [Music] looks like a columbia eagle slow to get up here can't quite tell the number yet trainer already looks like it might be built him in our other other side corner there trainer already on the sideline working with one guy now she's running out having to get to another so once again congratulations to the eagle for winning the race tonight the columbia quarterback club is honored to donate a thousand dollars of songs for soldiers waterloo will also be making a donation to songs for soldiers with their fundraising that they did this week so make sure people bring those freshly pressed creations rally tiles bring those week in and week out night in and night out and uh keep those keep those wavings looked over at the student section there's a lot of the guys that have them out there and they were having fun with it during that race it's all for a good cause so that's that's pretty awesome we will have dustin rowell the founder of songs for soldiers up here during the century 21 halftime show so if you'd like to learn some information learn about the cause make sure you stick with us as i'm saying that once again thank you for the sons for having the food tonight for the players i don't know whenever i was here the parents always cooked and it was always a good meal i don't know what did you have before games well yeah we had tea meals up there um what was your favorite tea meal i guess we should say i guess miss lykan's always her bread her bread her bread oh yeah i remember that for a long time the fact that i only have to say miss like yeah i knew it was the bread come on man i think my dad he cooked one time it was like 10 pans of lasagna so that was cool because i had all the leftovers too so cool that they actually got a home-cooked meal tonight and pretty neat and nice of the sons of the legion to do for so bilteman's able to walk off on his own power as he gets to the sideline who'd that bring in over there on that back side corner now looks like 13 peyton andrews andrews is the junior six foot 160.
