first down on for the Eagles so Spirit Sprints you got a 40 50 60 70 80 90 and then you get to only do 100 yard dash Sprint oh once you get to those 70s though man yeah I think the jog back was harder the Sprint was fine is the jogging the sitting around and you really couldn't breathe vaguely gets the line up to the line of scrimmage real quick trips to the left side running back right he's gonna fake the handoff he's going to roll to the right side hit right away look like Tyler Clark wasn't out of the way in time and that's going to be a loss of a half a yard bring up second and ten Tyler Clark was trying to pull didn't get there in time and Dom kind of just ran straight through him there bring up a second and ten now see what coach Warner's got drawn up on this play same formation once again once again eight guys in the Box gonna be a pass Hudson Brian with the catch and he gets hit and driven back but he gets six yards and it'll be a third and four no 11 there on that tackle and he's I bet he's already got three tackles um in this game so um he's covering the whole field during uh during this one tonight and you know Bryant gets that six yard reception and gets driven back and everyone's gonna see that but it's a big six yards right there to bring up a manageable third and four third and five third and four and it looks like Bryant gets subbed out here we're gonna go no running back next to vaguely in that same set we came out in the first drive third and five seven guys in the box they're coming from everywhere Eagles pick it up great job Vegas running to the left side he's gonna have to get through a guy he's not going to be able to but that's okay good for about 17 yards and another Columbia Eagles first down and on that play Whenever you have trips to the left and a king back I mean you're drawn so much to that left side one of these times you might see Don vegely use the right side of the field since everybody's going to be coming from that left side so we'll have to keep an eye on that tonight seven guys in the Box just gonna be a quick screen white makes you catch he's gonna have to make a couple men Miss he does keeps his feet moving gain of four on the play good run after the catch there by Brendan White the senior picked up a couple yards and normally in the beginning of the Season we were seeing white kind of play as that sniffer back like Carter Hicks plays but he's moved out as a wide receiver done a great job um known for running those arrow and bubble routes and just gets you a couple yards to get you into manageable second and third Downs great job there by white to fight off a couple guys and get up field Eagles are always swapping guys out this year always having different formations second and seven doubles the left side sniffer back left going to be a handoff to cam janick nope kept by vaguely loss of one on the play not too many guys out there to let left side I think if he hands the ball off to cam Cam's going to have himself a little bit of a an alley to run in now you lose two yards there so that brings up about a third and we'll give it eight and this Jerseyville defense playing pretty good first first Contact they're wrapping up making good tackles you can attack on us for loss at some times trips to the left side roll out to the left good job by Wetzel getting to the sticks vaguely once more he's got more and it's off the hands of Mason vaguely right off the hands real about maybe a foot too far and that stops the clock 31 seconds in the first quarter ball game tied 0-0 and I think you might be in a punting situation right here if you're coach Warner yeah if you would have picked up six seven yards there into a fourth and one or two you could think about maybe going for or even kicking a 40-something yard field goal but didn't pick nothing there so we're gonna try to pin them deep um Don Vega he's done it great this year Penn and other teams deep in their own territory here comes a fake nope gonna be a punt vaguely gets it up short punt gonna be hit the ground at the 15.
we do get that bounce inside the ten eight seven is where we're gonna down it like we've mentioned tonight senior night our first senior number one Ben Scott comes out this is his first year playing football After High School he plans on attending a four-year University where he plans on continuing his Hobbies or playing basketball and working out is what he wants to keep doing I don't think he is committed on a university as well heir at this time pregame he likes to watch each Game and Watch each game on film and have two meals gonna be a reverse this time for the Jerseyville Panthers are able to get up field keeps her feet moving with the big line and a tough run before finally being blown dead his favorite memory at CHS is homecoming games being in homecoming games freshman year basketball with Coach Baker that is Ben Scott number one in his first year of playing CHS football and football as a whole after 20.
we'll let you listen to the PA announcer from 1994 to 2022. and this season marks his last year Thomas retired from coaching here at CHS and tonight we would like to thank him for his years of service [Applause] foreign Championship Conference Championship sectional and state qualifiers Thomas biggest accomplishment was the relationships he had with his athletes every student athlete ever coached respected him in the game evolved for that we thank him principal Brian Reeves is presenting Tom with a commemorative customized putter as a small token of our appreciation for the countless hours and millions of miles that Tom has driven for his athletes Tom you will be missed more than you know ladies and gentlemen a huge round of applause for Mr Tom Detmer thank him for the ski too that he always hooked this up with absolutely that was his fundraiser for the golf team he comes from Brees so he would bring his own ski down so congratulations he made off me probably in high school does he still do that today I'm not sure but I know he made probably 200 bucks off me in my Junior and Senior year second and five in the second quarter here of this week nine matchup motion man number 11.
they're gonna run underneath run to the right side gonna have to be brought down by Wetzel slows him down doesn't bring him down and Mason vaguely is going to after 10 yards first down congratulations to Mr Detmer I had him as a as a teacher awesome guy and a lot of fun so good luck and enjoy retirement Mr Detmer First and Ten now for Jerseyville as they go to the Huddle I think they're wanting to uh control the clock here tonight as they're taking their time under 15 seconds down the play clock everyone in the Box form two tight ends set two fullbacks and a running back they're gonna hand it off to that running back with a good hole and he's going to be brought down great job there I think that is kenningstein and Dom vagley on the tackle like Jared said in that pregame show Dom moving up to the linebacker position tonight which is what we've seen every now and then throughout the year um I know whenever we were banged up no Brandon Jackson and losing Sam Denny um you kind of had to move some things around on that defensive side and he might be one of our best tacklers that we have so um instead of him guarding those wide receivers out outside it's nice to get him in the mix um get him close to the line of scrimmage make some plays shotgun this time doubles to the left side two running backs they're gonna hand it off to number 11.
once again he's going to run to the left hard run gets stood up by vaguely and all he can do right now is hang on it's going to be a gain of six and gonna be close to a first down vaguely went low but not low enough and it's going to be good for first down Panthers Mandy Maguire group scoreboard not getting too much action zero zero after a quarter and a minute into the second quarter I don't know why but this reminds me of playing that Nashville team um they kind of just run run and then they'll hit you on a pass and try to allow you to sleep like Alex said earlier number 11 doing a great job on the ground for them so far tonight even number 22 Back there at the quarterback he's a tank of a guy gonna go Motion to the left side come back to the right gets caught good for 13 yards and a first down I don't know who the linebacker was out there I thought he nearly was in a good spot to get a pick but just out of his hands looked like that might have been burning wike or Cam janick there in Jerseyville running some pretty good stuff pretty simple but um getting probably four or five yards of play out of it and they're traveling the ball down the field now with 10 10 left to play in this first half empty backfield trips to the left side two to the right they're gonna run hitches right in front of us and it's going to go incomplete off the ground official right there to make that call good attempt there by number 12.
put second and ten from the 47. Jerseyville looks pretty sharp with those pink bright pink socks and uh White and power and I love that blue that they got they got that like North Carolina blue they're wearing white on white tonight with the blue lettering pink socks doubles to the left side now ball on the right hash High snap gonna be botch of a play kennysten gets in the backfield quarterback lowers the boom gains four five brings up a third and five good job by Wetzel making that open field tackle kenningstein there was able to get in the backfield right away it looked like a little bit of hold maybe even on their line but nonetheless third down and five ball at the fifth 51 at the 49. you still almost said that I think that was last week yeah Joe Kish comes off three down linemen for the Eagles going under Center is Jersey they killed it and now they are going to take a timeout with 9 20 remaining in the second quarter our second senior tonight number two Carter Hicks he's been playing football for 12 Seasons now After High School he plans to play college football while studying sports management big fan of that sports management his hobbies include Hunting Fishing watching football on Sundays golfing and hanging out with my friends pregame preparation and Superstition can't get behind this one four shots of pickle juice whenever he's watching film he watched the other team's defense and offensive lines favorite memory shutting out Waterloo at home and winning conference his senior season our next senior number three Zach Wetzel talk about him a lot this year great year so far and more to come hopefully been playing football six years he's going to go to the Missouri State University hangs out with his friends on his Hobby and he likes to listen to Chief Keef oh man I'm gonna say that's a Jared thing there I don't think he's a country singer when he's watching film he watches the formations and what route combinations they run in certain formations his favorite memory beating senior as a senior that's Zach Wetzel trips to the left side they're going to look to the left side once again hitches and it falls incomplete little high vaguely was there to make the tackle on the good defense they're gonna have to punt now and I think this is a good move you can't give the Eagles an offensive possession at the 49-yard line Yeah in our first two drives we haven't really got anything going besides the first drive uh our first two or three first downs Don vaguely picked up a couple on his feet but um Jerseyville defense kind of clamped down and didn't really let us do anything so see if we can get something going on on this drive here to end the half Eagles going for the block again aren't able to get back there vaguely is going to let it bounce at the 15 and it gives a great bounce for Jersey and they are gonna down it at the three so 97 yards in front of the Eagles offense in a touchdown 907 on that Mandy McGuire group scoreboard tied 0-0 week nine through those first three seniors I think we heard two of them uh their favorite memories beating Waterloo and I mean that's got to be one of your favorite memories of your high school career anytime you can beat Waterloo definitely in your senior year that's always special and doing it at home shutting them out um it's definitely a great achievement you'll you'll remember that game the rest of your life for sure empty backfield tight end right sniffer back rack vegely is going to go to the right Ben's back up field he's going to gain three Eagle's just looking for a little bit of breathing room right here and like you said Jared not much going so far for this Eagles offense that put up 385 yards last week it's kind of tough now whenever you got your back to the end zone you got to worry about bad snap you don't really want to pass out of the situation so see if we can pick up a good four or five yards here pick up manageable third down for us doubles to the right end tight end right sniffer back right we're going to run it to the left though with Cam janick he's going to get to the nine before getting brought down another gain of two third down and six bringing rain water back on cam Janet comes off rainwater going out as a wide receiver kind of been the look that we've seen on a hem this year trips to the right side sniffer back right vaguely empty backfield they're going to bring pressure off that high side with that linebacker on the outside official timeout as he is going to the band we've seen that before has something to say to the band did the white cap and they're gonna reset the play clock which if I was a Jerseyville coach or fan I would not like that reset in the play clock it was getting down to like six or five same formation for vaguely gonna run it to the right side gonna get behind a good blocker that's a great job following him it's gonna be short but I don't think he followed them enough and it's going to be very close to a first down that far left got him short looks like nope nope they're gonna give him the first down wow look like the line to gain was at right at the 15.
and I thought he only got to maybe the 14 and a half yard line there but I would love to know how much we got that by if it was just by about a football length name next card yeah an index card be cool if we had Sharky right online scrimmage right there to tell us how close it was Sharkey says just that close motion man wike he runs a left side then now we're going to the right reverse this time and that play did not work loss on the play of four you guys vaguely receiving that reverse there I think they lined up Masonic quarterback anytime that happens you know something's coming whenever number 12 is not right behind the center you know coach owners probably using some up his sleeve but that one didn't work out very well loss of about four second and 14.
6 27 on the play clock now everyone off to that right side one guy split out looks like rain water to the left Begley's Gonna Keep it himself and run to the right he's got a couple guys to get around and he's able to get nearly to the line of scrimmage as I have Miss Horner up here messing with me I don't know what's going on somebody keeps grabbing me he thought it was me yeah I didn't know what was happening hi Mrs Warner would you like to call Floyd no not at all okay all right well welcome into the broadcast booth kchs thank you thank you what are you going to call here what's coach Warner calling third and 12th here trips to the left side running back left we're gonna move him to the right looks to be cam Janik vaguely is going to pass this time he's got guys down the middle of the field he's got Mason vaguely and it goes off his hands and you can't drop that one if you're amazing that could have been six oh Dom will have something to say to him tonight that's for sure that look like a Nick horn a Sam Horner connection there Sam drop it I'm just messing with you Sam I know you're listening I think vaguely is going to have to go after Mason like Rocky right there the Horner boys would have had it oh yeah that's touchdown so fourth and 11 now for the Eagles at Their Own 13-yard Line gonna have to punt 536 vaguely standing on his goal line and like always gets a great pun off gonna bounce at the 45 and that's where it'll be down by rain water so we're gonna head to a break and we will have the Jerseyville offense right after this hahaha [Music] welcome back we're gonna go right up the middle once again with number 11 keeps his feet moving he's going to gain 11.
nothing really special on that play it was a quick change of possessions there usually the officials are taking their time not on this one Wetzel and vaguely on the uh tackle we've seen number 11 tonight he's got almost 1300 rushing yards um runs really hard puts his head down and fights for those extra yards as he did there pick up another first down for Jerseyville and if I were them I'd try to run this clock out and try to punch one in the end zone I'll let Colombia get a hold of the ball again Eagles will kick off to start the second half gonna be around right up the middle number 11 sticks his foot in the ground spins out of a tackle gains six maybe seven and it's going to be a second and four good run there with 440 remaining in the first half before that Century 21 halftime show thank you for joining us miss Warner five jokes your number two part of it I like how you were still calling to play while getting tickled up here I didn't know what was going on doubles to the left side second and four Eagles fans finally getting into it a little bit quarterback run to the right side good stiff arm brought down by number two and number 40 for the Eagles but gain of six first down for the Panthers crip's girlfriend Amy down there with the Make Some Noise sign trying to get the Eagles fans involved in the game it worked for a play 4 14 remaining now ball went out of bounds so the clock did stop doubles to the left side motion man number 11 they run to the right good job Carter Hicks wrapping them up in the backfield but was not able to get low gets carried for five yards second and five for his biggest Carter is he's got to get low and if he doesn't like he did on that play he just gets drug for a for a while yeah and if I mean when you're that big and you get down in that three or four point stance you can't stand straight up you got to stay low especially for a big guy like him if you stand straight up you got those 260 pound linemen um pulling and coming straight towards you so you got to be ready to make contact can't be afraid of it send a motion again they're going to throw it to this time for the first time gonna be maybe to the original line of scrimmage good job there by Logan Hicks and Carter getting out there I think they did make him lose a yard third and sixth ball at the Eagle 29 yard line 315 and I don't think you're going to be calling any timeouts or anything here if you're coach Horner you're just going to be letting it letting it eat on the clock I'm really liking these play calls back Jerseyville kind of spreading the ball all around the field I'm letting 11 do his thing quarterback looks pretty good so far I think he's completed two or three passes um big third down here for the Eagles under Center they're gonna run it to the left side they got something they like over there they've ran over there a lot gonna be short on the play by a yard Withrow how many carries does he have in this first half already yeah he's got 100 and oh what was it 167 rushes on the season probably be by 200 at the end of this game we'll see if we'll be able to get you some unofficial stats here at halftime if Sharkey and Howie are able to get some stats for us looks like Jersey's gonna talk this one over here and head into a timeout if you're the Eagles you got to watch the football here on this play our next senior Spotlight number 12 Dominic vagley he's been playing for 12 years after high school he plans to attend the University of Kansas or Kansas University rather to play baseball while studying sports management I can't I can root for the sports management but the Kansas I mean I gotta say go Tigers and I feel bad because I told him that I said hey man go Tigers I didn't even say congrats on signing but uh so Dom going to Kansas to play baseball he enjoys fishing watching football on the weekends golfing and hanging out with his friends his pregame he takes an after-school nap listens to music and sleeps on the way to the games he's got to look at a little bit of everything as he does not come off the field so when he's watching film he looks for the defense's coverages and leverages and offensive formations in their stand-up players favorite memory at CHS while playing football starting varsity as a freshman beating Waterloo freeberg and Central his senior year our next one Hayden hoppermill been playing football for five years he will be going to SIU Edwardsville After High School he enjoys fishing hunting hanging out with his friends he listens to music and he tries to get locked in before pregame he will look how the defense and offense is set up and he enjoyed winning this spirit stick this year it is Hayden hoppermill fourth and one for the Eagles defense overload to the right side for Jerseyville they're going to go with the full back quarterback pushes him right away and they're going to get that first down ball still not blown dead as Jersey was celebrating now it's blown dead First and Ten keep the clock moving here if you are the Eagles and they've had the ball for I'd say three four minutes um on this drive and they'll probably try to hold it for this last 150.
I try to punch one in now let clown may get their hands on it Eagles defense drastically needs to stop here empty backfield trips to the left side doubles to the right motion man comes at us number 14. he sets up the block they're looking In The End Zone wetzel's on the coverage and it's going to be out of bounds good job Zach Wetzel once again we come to expect at every play and he does not disappoint out of bounds second and ten that wide receiver caught that ball there and hit the pylon his foot must have went out of bounds before uh whenever he was catching the ball but Zach Wetzel in the right spot at the right time as we've said all year there to push him out of bounds and bring up a second and ten and stop that clock who did we I know it was halt off I don't remember what years it was they had a wide receiver You're Gonna Know It Keenan young Keenan young he I don't remember who he just reached over one of our guys on the end zone down JT bro shears just unfortunate you get a couple more inches and got lost he got mossed yeah so but it's you know you look at Zach right there not the tallest guy on the field but he just got reached over right there and so JT whenever he just got reached over on that play and I think that was the winning touchdown too at the end of the game right yeah I think it was a stud too I think he ended up playing at Jackson State University now where is he anywhere I think he graduated played all four years there and I uh there's a lot of the altof team that's still playing I saw uh CJ cold and he plays corner for Oklahoma the Oklahoma Sooners saw him make a great interception last week then you have of course Jordan Goodwin out of Altov who uh he's playing for the Washington Wizards now so a lot of talent that we played against that year but just couldn't get around to that w ow we have a second and ten now as both teams break the timeout huddles Jerseyville not coming to the ball with 130 left here in this first half second and ten doubles running back to the left side they're going to throw to the right just number 12 real quick good job there by Wetzel making it a field and open field tackle gain of eight brought down by vaguely getting near one minute third and three jersey right up to the line of scrimmage once again tight end left they're gonna give it to number 11.
he's gonna try to get to the outside good job fighting off the block Brennan but he gets there and it's a first and 10 maybe even first in goal for Jersey under one minute to go now in the first half first and goal is what they're going to give them and we had two guys beat him to the spot there to force him back in but number 11 being the athlete that he is picks up that first down run it to the right side they're gonna try to get to the outside they get to the five another good hard run been very impressed this first half gets them to the three might see the same play call here I just saw these coaches over here to the right saying running again so we're gonna have to watch out right up the middle for number 11 here Eagles still forcing everything on that right side they're gonna run it away from us and he's going to get in untouched touchdown Panthers touchdowns I think they're going to go for two the way it looks right now I'd run the same play I would too being in a little Scout over here so two-point conversion now for jersey 21 seconds remaining on that Mandy McGuire group scoreboard where they lead it six nothing I'd run the same play it's a fumbled on the hand I'm sorry on the snap gets fumbled it's still a live ball still a live ball it's just a fumble and luckily nothing happened so good job there by Joe Kish he was still playing it all the way out and that two-point conversion is no good so all of that happening Jersey now leads it as we get ready for that Century 21 halftime show six to nothing we're gonna head to a break real quick we'll probably only bring you a couple plays before the next one but we will be back right after this [Music] foreign [Music] run by number 11 gets the Panthers on the scoreboard first Eagles are going to recover it at the 36 and gonna be up to the 42 17 seconds Eagles have all three timeouts Logan Hicks tried to make something happen there first down from their own and if your jersey here you just gotta keep everyone in front of you and I'm hoping like uh what you were talking about earlier they let up a lot of big plays this is a that territory where would be really nice for the Eagles to break one here and punch one in right before half trips to the left side running back left seven guys in the Box roll out to the left he's got Wetzel at the 50.
Wetzel gets up gets out of bounds to the 46 good for a first down eagles only four seconds taken off the clock 13 remaining and vaguely's got a strong enough arm he can throw it this far Now You're Gonna Go trips to the right side I bet you they run the same play to the right you're gonna have 11 over there playing Corner over Wetzel so you gotta keep an eye on him trips to the right side running back outright rolling to the right they're throwing at the Wetzel one again and gain of nine it's complete timeout with seven seconds on the clock that was 11 there on that tackle he read that like a book it was the same play to the opposite side of the field and he saw vaguely roll out to the right side now so here's where you take up if on that play right there he bit so hard on that short route keep that in your head I mean you only got seven seconds so it's either now or never or you can get points here I mean you could you still have one time out catch 57-yard field goal right now I know I'm saying get more yardage I'll still have one time out get about seven eight more yards and Don Bailey can come out and hit 52-yarder I'd say and you're only down six three at half because right now I mean I don't know if I'd take a shot to the engine I think coach Warner is going to play for points here and try to let Don Begley put three up on the board Eagles will be kicking off in the second half to the Panthers nothing really going for the Eagles offense so far tonight gotta try to get something going on this play coach owners directing traffic right there you could see him pointing everyone so he's got to try to make something happen here trips to the left side this time ball in the right hash no one horned though he might take a shot here I think as aggressive as they were right there on that step up on that hitch might as well drips the left side doubles the right empty backfield they're looking deep they throw it deep he's got wike and he throws it over his head two seconds two seconds I think you're gonna have to just do it again he had him it was just a a step too far and if you looked at that play right there Mason vaguely was your inside slot receiver he ran in front of the uh the safety so I guess that was going to be Dom's Reed if the safety goes left you throw it right which is what happened it makes him make a decision so I think I throw it again now you're listening to Jersey's coach is selling them to back up and they do need some protection out of your line it's the last play of the first half we throw it deep and it's going to go incomplete in the end zone so as we head into the Century 21 halftime show the Mandy McGuire group scoreboard reads Jersey Six Columbia zero we will head into a break real quick we will bring you the band's performance of the Century 21 halftime show and we will be back with our thoughts on this senior night in week nine right after this [Music] foreign for your halftime entertainment the Columbia marching Eagle band will perform their halftime show that's no moon no Star Wars show the band is under direction of Mr Christian Avis Rouse and color guard coach Jessica janick drum Majors [Music] [Applause] [Music] welcome into the Century 21 halftime show presented by Century 21 Advantage Eagles currently Trail these Panthers in the week nine matchup six nothing nothing really going on there for the Eagles offensively in that first half Derek what do you think uh what are your thoughts on that first half we'll just start with that um first drive was looking looking pretty good so we had that penalty back us up a little bit have the front um but I mean all you gotta do all you gotta really do on the defensive side of the ball is stop number 11 and um forces third and Longs like we've been doing but um I think overall up front we're kind of getting our butt beat tonight um Don Begley and our running backs don't really have a lot of space a lot of lanes to get through like last week against Brees so coming out in this in the second half I mean some of these kids have been playing for 12 years um if you lose this one this could possibly be your last home game so um you got to come out with a little Firepower and um be ready to take this game over vaguely in the first half five for nine passing for 22 yards 15 rushes for 73 so thank you to uh Howie and Sharky for getting these stat to us right away and Yannick three rushes for three yards so uh nothing really going for the Eagles offensively number 11 14 attempts 63 rushing yards and one touchdown and number three their second uh I'm sorry number 22 has three rushes for 17.
so nothing really going either way so uh hopefully you know talk about sports movies we were talking about earlier the uh Happy Gilmore he didn't start out looking too good but at the end of his career he got it figured out so with all of that being said don't forget ihsa playoff pairing show tomorrow night 7 P.M NH nfhs Network we'll have the show as well as 24.5 on your television we will be streaming that at Aces wild as well so seven o'clock is when the show starts and at 8 15 ish is whenever they will come out with the 4A bracket currently I was just talking to some people it looks like Coal City either here or Coal City there a loss we will go up there a win we would get to host them so uh I don't know how they're able to figure all that out that quick but that's the way it's looking right now so hopefully the Eagles are able to just score seven more points then the Panthers here in the second half and we can leave here with the win Jared yeah we're gonna be on defense first so um no one Jerseyville they're probably gonna run this run this clock down as much as they can and try to punch another one in the end zone um known for them they'll go for two to make it a 14-nothing game so um defense really got to be ready coming out in the field for the second half uh I don't think we really want to be playing two scores behind on senior night so um yeah that first drive is going to be uh really important first drive you're gonna have to get a stop first drive you're gonna have to get a score it's a pretty simple football game after that currently do not have a score on that soccer game just looked up the ihsa site they started at seven and I do not have a score on that so they need to get a victory tonight to move on to the super sectionals so hopefully if we are able to find a score from that we will keep you posted on there thank you once again for listening go to kchs on YouTube however you can get there make sure you like And subscribe get all of our notifications so that you can watch us we will determine how we are going to stream next week in the playoff game ihsa has some rules that we're going to have to get through in order to come to you so that's something that coach Horner is going to have to go through and figure out on the athletic director side of things another thank you to Tequilas for the taco bar tonight fed the players hopefully they are able to uh get those tacos going in the right direction and get ourselves a victory vaguely now has the ball teed up for the second half to get underway thank you for listening to the Century 21 halftime show Dom vaguely ends it with a kickoff deep that is booming Into the Wilderness end zone for a Touchback these 10 seniors are down to 24 minutes guaranteed here at home so hopefully they are able to figure it out here Jersey's gonna come out they've been pretty much spread out with run and pass tonight so we'll see what they're going to come out and do like Jared said though I think they're going to try to control the clock as much as they can the second half yeah and having that number 11 back there makes it a lot easier for you so I bet he gets double the carries he had in the first half here and we just got to keep an eye on him three down lineman they're gonna run it to the right side got a big hole and a big line men blocking good job blocking down field for him they might have themselves a touchdown 50 40 chased up by vaguely 10 into the end zone no flags on the play touchdown Panthers I don't know who that Poland guard was but he was following through and there was nothing going for the Eagles there right as I say we gotta watch out for 11.
bus one for 70. 80. wow we knew he was the real deal coming in tonight and he has showed why so like Jared also said they're gonna go for two to make it a 14 point game under Center same formation we saw when they went for two earlier they're gonna run it to their right side nope they're gonna fake they're gonna try throwing back across nobody defending and it goes incomplete and other huge huge play there for the Columbia Eagles and that takes the Mandy McGuire group scoreboard 12 to nothing Panthers 11 46 and about the only good thing out of that play it only took off 14 seconds on the clock yeah and Coach G I saw he was talking to a linebacker right after he uh came to the sideline and wasn't too happy with him over there I couldn't tell who it was but um you force it back inside there was just nobody nobody coming to the ball flowing to the ball and 11 used his Breakaway speed to outrun number 12 Don vaguely there at the end and get in the end zone Jersey's coming off that 42-0 victory over Civic Memorial last week so got a little bit of momentum coming into the night we're gonna send it deep last time they kicked I don't know if it was just a squib because they were at the end of the quarter at the end of the half didn't go very deep they're lined up he's gonna run straight at it and toe balling he sends it deep and it's going to be caught at the 12.
wetzel's got it makes one man miss at the 25 he's got the 30 gets back up field to the 35 where he gets tackled so Eagles offense got a lot of work ahead of him down 12 points 11 39 in the third quarter we're known to do it pretty quick last week two offensive plays two touchdowns so um you never know a number 12 can bust one loose or throw one down field one of his wide receivers big thing don't panic you've put up over 14 points in a quarter so don't panic you got a whole half gonna hand it off this time to cam janick gonna get to the original line of scrimmage and go down nothing on the play not much going not much uh excitement here on this Eagle offense either a lot of walking around a lot of energy in the fans either I know last week that's probably been the most hostile environment we played in since I'd say week one against Mascoutah we need the fans to get into it a little bit here trips bunch to the right side running back to the right side vaguely takes it it's a play action looks to the right side he's gonna throw it he's got wike who gets hit right away back to the original line of scrimmage third and ten guess who made that tackle all over the field this time we're gonna send three guys on three guys off looks like Maddox Stefan Brandon Jackson and Carter Hicks come on Janik vagley and Clark come off clock's still running 10 30 in the third quarter trips to the left side empty backfield rolling to the left side vaguely is just going to keep it himself try to make something happen he's got the edge he's got the 40.
he's to the 42 gonna be a fourth and two what do you want to do here now coach Warner hmm decisions decisions here number three fourth and two and you would think I mean most of the time coach Horner is going to punt it here if you're winning but I mean down by two scores and you know that they're gonna try to control the game as much as they can looks like we're just gonna run the ball with Don Vega to the right side trips to the right side they're gonna Blitz off that right side vaguely good vision goes up field but only a gain of one turnover on down Eagles offense so only a gain of one turnover on Downs Jersey good field position now with 9 37 on the Mandy McGuire group scoreboard they have the ball at the Eagles 42-yard line I think you almost have to do that right there if you are coach Warner got to get a stop now for the Eagles defense three down lineman three linebackers no real safety in the game right now gonna do the reverse to the left side with number 11.
just a hard run but the Eagles defense even harder and they get to stop original line of scrimmage and that is it that's really one of the first good plays we've seen on the front line not giving up Mitch yards but once again I don't even know if the fans clapped right there nope it's dead and on this side right now all the Eagles have their hands on their hips I don't know if they're a little tired here coming into tonight the Tequila's just catching up man I'm telling you no no it was a half day of school today no school next Friday hasn't bowed well for the players doubles the left side motion man number four he comes all the way across he runs up field gonna be a run slashing right up the middle good hard run once again gain of five off of him you see those Jerseyville linemen made a good block on caning Stein and then started acting like he was doing the breaststroke on top of him third and three 35 yard line now 8 30 remaining in the third quarter they're trying to get into it motion to the left side they go up the middle once again good job there by the Eagles defense and a fumble on the play looks like it's recovered by the Eagles ball just bounced out it looked like a bad handoff right away recovered by number 13 Peyton Andrews now the Eagles fans are in it for a play and the guy that recovers the fumble always gets most of the recognition but the guy that caused the fumble should get the most recognition looked like he might have just dropped that ball though cause of fumble Eagles had a couple drops in the first half had a couple chances they had a touchdown weren't able to hang on to it three down lineman four linebackers motion man they're gonna fake the handoff gonna be a pass to the left side wike makes a great play on the ball but it goes incomplete wouldn't a great ball there by vaguely as he had a guy in his face right away I don't know if that was a drop on that or just an incompletion yeah Mike looked like he had to try to come back for it Corner didn't really let him get back to the ball great job by that corner to just get in the way of the ball and wike Hudson Bryant goes to the running back position now doubles Bryant to Begley's left seven guys eight guys in the Box for Jersey they're sending three linebackers vaguely picks it up throws it to the right side he's got white or on Wetzel rather gain of what's on the reception eight third and two I think again if you don't get this you're gonna have to go for it again if you look over there on that far side of the field that corner is playing almost 10 yards off the ball that's like the third time we've hit that sideline hitch two of them the Wetzel and one of them two I think I think all three to Wetzel to be honest Mason vagley and Hudson Brant come off Carter Hicks cam Janet go on eight minutes now in the third quarter Jersey sending everyone up to the line of scrimmage with their linebackers motion man gonna be wike pass play to their left side good job there by wike he's got a first down he's in Jersey territory inside the 40 down to the 36-yard line First and Ten for the Eagles good positive play for the Eagles foreign that's quarterback's favorite route right there that Jet Sweep great pick up there by wike and you can use that play now for any other plays you want to run out of that formation having white coming over in motion you can fake that to him and keep it with Vega you can do a lot of things out of that vaguely runs it to the left side everyone wanted it to the right he's got the 25 to the 22 first down for the Eagles that could have been designed to the right there and vaguely just saw that there was no one there on the left side and right when he right when he got that ball he took off to the left pick up another first down for the Eagles and now things are starting to look like they should Eagles actually have three linemen to the right side on this play it's more or less a heavy look Maddox Stefan number five is to the left side gonna be the same play formation again they're gonna run it to the left vagle's got to 20.
good blocking downfield these are the 10 goes out of bounds gets brought down out of bounds first and goal for the Eagles 7-23 in the third quarter got these lovely High School press boxes with big walls in between us we can't see through them so like I was saying three down linemen to the right side there was one true lineman to the left and then manic Stefan with that eligible number number five to the left first time we've seen Hicks as a tight end why cause your sniffer back to the left gonna be a handoff to the left and he trips cam Janik had a good cutback Lane right there but somebody at Buffalo Wild Wings hit the sprinkler button you're gonna say that I think you're gonna say that gain of two second down in goal from the eight gotta get in now you're not in uh must score doubles ocean man Bryant to the left side empty backfield trips to the left they're gonna throw it to the end zone to number two Carter Hicks where it goes incomplete third and eight from the eight third and goal from the eight rather now you're gonna go for it again fourth down territory on that play you're trying to get the outside linebacker to flow to that motion man Bryant and that should free up Carter Hicks right in the middle of the end zone but safety did a good job trips to the right side vaguely tried to cut back up field but Hicks wasn't able to maintain the block loss on the play fourth and goal from the ten three points isn't going to do you any good here and this can be a problem for the Eagles a lot of touchdowns this year um have been I'd say 30 40 50 plus yards um we don't get we don't get a lot of plays inside the 10 yard line so um because when we do it's usually number 12 uh either rolling out to the right or wrong out to the left so big play call here for Coach Horner on Fourth and goal from the town it's unfortunate you have to take this time out right here because that could be big in the end but you got to do what you got to do he takes the time out 6 27 on that Mandy McGuire group scoreboard or the Eagles Trail it 12 to nothing subscribe make sure you get as many notifications as you can because we have playoffs coming in next week so you know they're going to be throwing pressure at you here I don't know what you're going to be able to get going but we're going to go to our senior spotlights got a couple more left Vernon white eight years of playing football he's going to play baseball and study business at St Charles Community College whenever he gets done at CHS he enjoys working out listening to music hanging out with his friends working and golf he takes four shots of pickle juice as well sits in the same seat for the team meal he also has to look for a little bit of everything so he's got a little bit of watching on the offense and the defense as he comes out now in the sniffer back position Eagles got it spread out pretty wide wetzel's way out of the picture they're gonna fake the handoff bootleg he's got number two Carter Hicks he's gonna have to make the catch and he doesn't incomplete ball off his hands another drop for the Eagles receivers yeah you got to catch that ball so turnover on Downs once again out of the Eagles offense 6 21 now Jersey's got their back against the wall with the ball at the 10-yard line finish up on Brennan wike his favorite memory shutting out two big rivals in winning conference going to state for baseball last year as a junior just got a text that the soccer team has down three nothing with 22 minutes left in the second half doubles to the right side running back to the left gonna be a pass play they're going underneath with that slant once again they went away from it big run in a big run after catch and contact good for about 15 yards first down four Jersey penalty flag after the play this would be nice if it was probably going to be offsetting usually that's how it happens after plays but it'd be nice if it was on Jersey and back them up again it's good for 17 yards gives them a little bit of breathing room from the 10 to the 27.
it looked like two Carter Hicks was a little shaken up on that fourth down play down here getting his shoulder checked out so we'll have to see if he's done for the game or if we'll see him back out there always a little bit of a scare Columbia gets that huge 28-27 victory at Breeze you always wonder are you going to come out flat especially against a team that's three and five we knew they weren't going to be a bad team but the three and five record seem to come out healthy too yeah ref still discussing right now so it's an unsportsmanlike is this going to be on Jersey are they offset and they're moving the football back going backwards to the 12. penalty against Panthers pack them up 15 yards so it's a 15-yard loss now so it's going to be a loss of 15 so really just replay the first down yeah more unless that's all it is clock is still ticking 5 555 now eagles need another stop need another turnover Jared asked for a defensive score and then Aces wild pregame show we can use it now doubles too many guys moving in the backfield running back I'll start on the Panthers loss of five or did they get a timeout oh they're gonna call the lady neither delay game under the back judge would have been a fall start to that running back was coming forward there on the snap of the ball have to be going east and west now you got first and 15 and this is this is when you need a bad snap or a big sack lots of yards anything on first down here gonna be a bootleg rolling to the right side quarterback's got to throw it goes incomplete roughing the passers what they're gonna call that was quick I would assume it's going to be rough in the passer but man that was fast personal foul rough in the pastor I think the official said he got him high underneath the face mask I'd like to watch a replay of that one got to protect the quarterback Alex yeah I know so it's a 15-yard penalty I believe that's going to be an automatic first down so now it's going to be First and Ten from the 23.
that's one of the hardest calls to make though because I mean if the ball's coming out and you have a linebacker or d-lineman coming full head of steam I mean it's hard to just stop whenever he still has the ball in his hands you're obviously trying to make a sack or make a big play happen but under Center this time for the Panthers four down linemen they're gonna run to the right side good job sniffed out vaguely misses the tackle chased down by Logan Hicks gain of 11 and it's a first down four Jersey once again typically your referee is going to be behind you and he's going to say Ball's gone yep and if contact can still be made gone but once he's finished with the end the follow through yeah then it's a late hit but under five minutes now Jersey really commanding this game tonight once again this is a week nine a lot of playoff implications here as the Eagles could determine if they're going to host or go on the road four down lineman Eagles still trying to get set run to the left side good forward momentum going for jersey number 11 still keeps going another flag another flag throne Jackson got hit by the flag didn't know what was going on gonna be a gain of six we'll see what the penalty is this time that was almost after the play again I think looks like he's gonna take the ball and walk backwards again that was that umpire that was standing right at the linebacker level there personal foul on the offense so 15-yard penalty number 68 sitting there talking with the official we haven't talked about the size of the lineman I think just because we look at our guys who may not always be the biggest guys Jersey's got a lot of meet up on the line of scrimmage yeah and they've just given number 11 enough room to maneuver and he doesn't need a lot of space to work but he's really showed us how great he is tonight putting on a show Mrs White trying to get the fans into it still waiting 4 31 now on the clock should be second down I would think yeah it should be second gonna be a snap that goes High they're going to the slant right underneath gain of five should be third down now you see that side judge he's walking up he's still throwing his hands up in the air I still don't know he knows what's going on third down now the white hat got it under control third and 15.
