Alcock to align to standards and have standards-based assessments is going to help us get those numbers back in line and really measure what kids are able to do or not do this is objective for this is one about the fact that Brookfield high school has been a focus school in the area of reading because our scores from the 1415 school year which was the us-backed test there was an achievement gap in reading between the high need students which our ELL students special education students and our free reduced lunch students the gap between the non high needs and the high knees was bigger than the state average and so we became a school on watch so they compared they they have a whole index and I can't even begin to really get into the in depth of explaining it where they were able to translate us back data they collected connected to the SAT data that was done in 1516 so there's some good news here the high needs group in this is in 1516 that's the data that we have fifty three point two percent of our students so that was an 18 percent improvement and the high needs subgroup so those students well it's not the same cohort necessarily because it's a different group of kids but regardless that longitudinal data shows that there's an 18 percent improvement for our non high need students they went up twelve point four percent so you see a greater increase in the non high me and the high needs kids which is great and then as far as the gap it went from seventeen point four it went actually to seventeen point four percent which was down from the original 23% gaps who saw five point four percent improvement so we're seeing things we're actually only point eight above the state average for the gap which is great we're getting closer to closing that gap and that was our first year that was my first year as principal this updated data here is my first year as principal so I'm excited to see what's gonna happen as a result of 1617 when I get that this year and I won't get that data to the end of these 1718 year like I talked about the last meeting the state just is behind and how long it takes to get this data rolled out to us so this is this is encouraging and we're seeing and hopefully you know from some of the training we've got from the school improvement grant opportunity to see even more growth there so I'm I'm optimistic about that star math has been a challenge and I'll say that for a couple reasons one when I came to look at this actual result of what I'm looking to say 100 % of students you see it's very similar to what the whisky near middle school goal was 85 percent when I mark June and I spent time going back and the lake students are rostered it was very difficult to pull this measure out so what I what I did is I'll show you this chart here so what this shows is the benchmark on the far right column of what those individual grades so you look at grade 9 if you go all the way across the right the scale score they need to be a benchmark for the state of Connecticut is 853 the ninth grade is the most promising set of data now whether those students are taking the test more seriously you know and there's a lot of different conversations we've had about assessment I think the expectation we had star math star reading which was new right remember teachers and the high school are seriously giving their own common assessments this is the first leg kind of outside thing that we were doing and they were taking a look at it it was a new process for them and you look at time on tests like Dean alluded to and I think some of the expectations you know when you go in to administer a test for the third time this year sometimes students we found at the high school and this is not this is conversational anecdotal data we've had from talking to kids they felt they were assessed a lot because I also put a lot of pressure on my teachers to say I need data we can't operate under this I think this is going well or you know these kids I listen to them read they're reading well that wasn't good enough for me so I required some assessments which were the administration helped create outside of star reading in star math so kids were getting assessed a lot and that's the problem the problem is when you say the kids were getting assessed it was like something done to them that was kind of I think the feeling and so I can see great scores in ninth grade where you know at or above benchmark you know from the beginning and you'll see when it comes time to that spring administration for the tenth and eleventh grade they were good fall winter and then balls off for spring I don't have any any understanding as to what the exact specific reason is for that to occur and then when I look at it 12th graders and Mark and I had a lot of conversations about this the department head of math at the high school we don't test all our 12th graders so this you know for the students that are getting this test and star if you're in AP calc if you're in BC calc if and you're in AP Stat and you know you weren't administered this test so these are students that are struggling right and what that says that's not an excuse that says we're still there and we have work to do so while this may exclude that group of kids this just says we have more work to do with our seniors regardless of where they are to get them to benchmark you know mark and I had a lot of commerce actually a conversation today about you know how do we how do we approach math instruction to make it just to grab kids it was interesting we went and watched some slow Studies classes right we watch the social of these classes to this teacher was we've walked in we did these engagement walkthroughs or as we're walking through classes and spend like 3040 seconds in a classroom just to see how kids are engaged and kids were debating about ropes Pierre in the rain of terror and how they would do the French Revolution differently I didn't know the teacher was in there because even hear his voice and then mark and I left and said he looks at me goes mark we need to do this in math how do we do this in math and so we started talking about more of a project-based problem solution and you know one of the teachers that we were talking to said well it's great you know you could do a whole year about building a house I said that's great the kids aren't connecting to building a house some might they might get a whole year's course on how to build a house and we could look at all the different math problems that we can integrate and all that but unless there's some connection or some just inherent you know driver desire to solve those problems so we're looking at a bigger picture we're talking to some other districts we're looking at some of the state curriculum or one of our jump shooters to try some lessons and units there that really was based around puzzles and see what else we can do and that's a side note to the instruction piece that we have to be doing it better you can see ninth grader is great but we're starting to fall off and this is a piece we need to work on I'm happy report that this year when we give the start data we'll arrange by class I'll be able to give you that benchmark specific benchmark that talks about 100 percent on goal stay on goal throughout the year 85 percent will be able to have those measures specifically for you but this is what we ended up with last year sure one of the other things that we've done this goes to the vertical alignment question that yes so with storm half with the SUBSCRIBE as a prescription we probably only eat one now but the submission to our map is coaching it comes in and it's it's video coaching and so we set up video coaching for the two elementary schools and we had Jim Fitzpatrick Katelyn and coffee and and Mark to it on the call with us so that they could benefit from what is going on in the elementary school and we're going to continue that throughout the year with having if we're having PD on middle school math the elementary people can be there and the high school people can be there and will we do high school or e so everybody be involved because they need to hear and see what the what's going on in those schools with regards to the data because like the conference that we get call that we had today was about data analysis and informing the folks at the elementary school who just started using star what the with different reports that are in star math tell and how you use the different data reports to do whatever it is you need to do so that's happening and this less lascal is about communication communications that not that I continue to try to figure out how to crack I'm not there yet I'm still working on it I say that because you know if you look even how these questions are phrased I feel well informed about what's going on in school that's a very subjective question right that anybody can answer any number of different ways in fact if I'm a parent taking the survey and looking at the second question my child's teachers communicate with me as frequently as needed in the high school you don't have one teacher communicating with they could you could six to seven different teachers and some absolutely are better than others and you have to a greet that data I did take a quick look though I know someone had asked about you know what percentage of families were responding to these surveys at the high school last year there's 181 family members which puts it about 20 percent of the parents responding so that's about where we were so our numbers went down they went down 3% and 4% unfeeling Mullin forms and teacher communication we have had this conversation about what we can do with the survey to get at what the specifics are when you look and you answer this question that doesn't give me a whole lot of information to take back and say okay let's do this differently because it doesn't say a whole heck of a lot it just as I feel whelmed informed or not well informed where are you so I'm hoping that we can rewrite some of these questions and that conversation is with panorama to get the data that we need that can help me figure out how I can best guide my teachers and my own practice to make sure that we're communicating with parents better look I'll give you a word of advice from a parent of a high school student sure easy respond okay it's as simple as that I'm not talking about an email and getting back the same day yeah but at least within 48 hours it's not just me I speak with other parents I hear a lot of the same issues over and over it comes down to lack of response and that that's really you know the biggest complaint that I hear amongst my my kids friends and everything else it's know I sent that teacher a note Alethea and that's a lot of hurry back the people that are responding to the survey generally you know are the ones who probably have an issue and studies prove that right you know if I'm happy I'm happy it's save was coming out to vote you know people who are content and complacent huh you know what everything will be okay it's either you feel strongly on one side on the table or the right one of those people come help but the same thing people respond to the survey right but it does come down to something as simple as teachers responding in a timely fashion so if you want to ask parents I would just ask parents as they're walking in and out of your main office all right hey we have a survey what's your biggest issue with communication I think you're gonna find better data and more data then rewriting a question is sending out the survey it might be coming back about timely feedback right okay thank you one other question mark um you had speculated that for the for your objective five going on the spring scores went down because the students were just tired of being tested and that a lot of that was time on test and taking a looking at that it I said some of the philosophy of it being done by the time we got to that and may you we had whether the a/b testing or doing si you know and I think the teeth the students value certain tests if I say SAT or PSAT to a student it has inherently more value to them because that college connection is there this star assessment you know and I've heard kids say we have to take star like and almost rolling their eyes about it because it's something else they had to do again so we have working a shift that like how can we and so to that and some of this coaching and being able to use that data to help students so that student who may roll their eyes because they take the star test what are they seeing as a result of number one getting their scores and we're going to be sure that we communicate scores to students all right that's one of the big things that we have to do some unike scores to students so they may be better understand them instead of taking this test and you know getting back no results right and that's an overarching piece that we've talked about so I think there's some component it's not the entire story though but that I think it's a piece that factors into it have you ever measured how many days assessments are given in the high school I have not specifically like and by course or just in general like that just in general like you talked about time on tests right you know I've been given on average 25 days out of 180 to 150 days right that percentage moves a lot thought I'd be curious to know had something I could sack eyes as where as I'm getting results from the you know from the data I'm collecting from the department's it's something I could tack on to you know certainly and get some of that information as well yeah when I'm talking about you know I just actual like spend time in class the formative testing is like the unit tests that's the class right you're talking about state you're talking about standardized tests thank you thank you Mark thank you Mark well it's been a long and exciting evening i it's it is 10:20 at night so unless there's any other questions one we go to upcoming events and then later this Friday October 6 it's a professional development day no school for students Monday October 9th there is no school in observance of Columbus Day Monday the 16th [Music] hello and welcome to the Henry Cabot Lodge field house here at Beverly High School for a northeast volleyball match up between Winthrop Vikings in your Beverly Panthers Beverly coming in at six and four and one through coming in at five both teams trying to get their seasons in a bit of a groove here both pointing to straight Beverly won their last two games played against excuse me it against Saugus and then at Malton with last two games have been won winter up against Lynn English in Mountain Maria both teams as I said trying to get their seasons going well I'm out to go again here at Devon understanding that her team has a realistic chance of making the playoffs this year and trying to maximize that opportunity as both teams get ready out there for Beverly looks like Gebhardt Mulligan sprague cassidy McGarrigle wiley in the Libero snow the Libero in white and also tight his dig pink night raising awareness for breast cancer see the Beverly team on their pink beauties [Applause] richard only three and five and as you said they've won their last two out there for winter looks to be Scott the tiki tufa for chilo Earl and hawksin two captains for this Winthrop team are number seven six excuse me number six Lacey's Scott a senior setter number thirteen the senior outside hitter Deana low Roberto for Winthrop today will be number two Amanda kokanee she never sooner for the Vikings [Music] referee's over at the scorer's table finalizing some things and we had some stats for the visiting Vikings little team leader and kills is the senior Petula Scott the other captain the other senior leading the team in assists excuse me leading the team with aces with 66 p'tee key another senior 10 blocks to lead the team Scott also leading a team in assists with 147 okay going to be waiting first service of the Knights can be Lacey Scott serving for the Vikings [Applause] [Music] still waiting for this to get underway six out there for Beverly is gonna be Gephardt Wiley Mulligan snow McGarrigle fantastic and we're underway play see Scott with the Serb need area first Deb mark sends it over it's gonna land out of bounds first point at the first set awarded to the Vikings lacy Scott you see the captain gives it another go snow can't handle Allen goes off the fingertips and spins back to put points for the righties both teams coming into this match very confident of that circle scott willson a everything with their first service of the first set it's gonna be Sydney white [Applause] sent under the net by Scott Mulligan was there any way for block attempts perhaps she got it over the net so Wiley continuing to serve two two here in the first set that was sent over by Winthrop on the third attempt Mulligan Gebhardt mcgahren will has to get it over she does the Barrows first there can he set up for an outside attack snows there for Beverly return from snow another outside its next it's gonna be locked it up send it immediately back by Wiley Cavalli here moving on in this first set that heart sends that one over set for the middle and the third try Cassidy instead of going for a more powerful attack just lost it over outside attack from the Vikings great volley here early at the net elected to was to foe right at the net thought of a gold for it lets it drop and that lands out of bounds smart decision for the Vikings as Hawks out will come out and in her place will be Ava Bertino junior outside hitter two girls over five now her five Niner over beautiful Winthrop Ava Bertina and Kristin Griffiths returned by snow set up before the outside pushed over Cassidy right at the net it's gonna be Morgan interpret an employee alluded to Beverly three three now utterly in this first set it seems to be two evenly matched teams as strangie comes in for Cuchillo on the Viking sign as I was saying seems to be too evenly matched teams of ten minutes of has gone by in this match only a collective six points scored in this first set a couple of long volleys both teams really minimizing their mistakes is massively serve sales way farm so 40 little serve back to them and Amanda Koch initial and see you libero from server on sent right back by snow setup for the middle and just rolled off the fingertips of the Tiki unforced error for the Vikings tied at four now in the first set I mean have a substitution or Beverly it looked like that madam orc seemed as if Cassidy was going to come out and Brown was going to enter but Mulligan you serve nicely kept up the barrel sends it over Gebhard sets it outside attack newton sent over nothing Cassidy to do with that one great placement from the winter Vikings leave that was number seven getting credited with that kill that would be a Vova Tina living now for the Vikings but Mutulu junior middle blocker standing at five eight this earth for touch by Cassidy is sent over my wife great placement for that Lofton an even better job by Beverly to stay with it and try to send it over but snow couldn't get enough Paulo on it went for matching their largest lead of the first set 64 [Music] Teufel serves while he sets it up for Gibbler he sends it over said immediately back and back again by damn hard to fight Ella sets it up for deaf heart attempts whirlwind trip is sent over snow there then Wiley it's gonna be nude and drops that one in we're goin standing around a like a campfire expecting more of a powerful attack from noon in there the cheese has both hands to slam that one down in between our six Vikings six five Winthrop still leading Gebhardt with the serve sent over by the lab and snow why we spray has to adjust in midair point Everly must have just barely got in there great job by spray at the net to just expecting that to be a little bit more in front of her but has to lean back in the air and either walk away Julia Gebhardt still serving six six you're all tied in the first set why we set it up on the outside from Noonan can you drop that one in wildly for noon and again another attack another great play by Lynch what they get it over in three why we for spray trying to stay off she does to you straight killers for here in the Pinter's they take their first lead of the first set seven a six [Applause] to Sprague and Noonan feeling it the past few serves in this first set snows their Gebhart for Newton can she continue it when it's sent back a nice attack there you point awarded to winter and either way that attack from Bertino was fierce [Music] I'm cleanin servin will be the junior outside hitter Adela Hawks up her surf first touched by Cassidy spread gets it over into third on the third attempt I'm not sure what's going on here it seems as if snow the Libero for Beverly has a nosebleed not sure if the ball hit her nose not sure what happened seems to be smiling it off though can be something too serious see if Winthrop will be awarded that last point if timeout was called by the refs in the middle of that play cause if snow wasn't dealing with that injury she was right there to attempt to return it people with referees discussing [Music] someone who gets a lot of nosebleeds I can tell you how annoying it is and one last night it was coming from both nostrils I have to deal was day was bad real bad I didn't have to try to play volleyball after I just want to bet coach Padovani cleaning up the court where some of the blood got so winter will be award at that point they're leading eight seven in the first set [Music] altair-4 Beverly is still Gebhardt Cassidy Noonan mulligan and Sprague [Music] largest lead of this first set has been went through leading by two on two separate occasions river valleys have the lead once when it was seven six but when Thorpe is since gone on to the two straight points looks like Mulligan might be coming in for snow if snow doesn't return from this injury but she will be returning just as a matter of when how the how long the referees are going to wait [Music] Mulligan will enter keep you updated on snows health I'm sure she'll be back into this one in no time would not expect her to miss extended period of time for nosebleed but what do you know serving still is Hafsa for the Vikings referees discussing and explaining to coach Padovani why one's rip his award at that point snow has since made her way back over to the federal bench still serving his Hawks at her serve when Morgan just sent me to the game for snow watches an attempted dig Nellie grounds now gonna enter the game for Mulligan right after that Fox is still serving my keys lead 9/7 acity wily they can't keep it up since Beverly took the lead 7-6 has been four straight points for the Vikings Jesse sends that one right over to me point Beverly should have been excuse me I thought that went over the net it will affect me must have hit the net and why he must have hit it twice burning in glasses 11:7 lead for the Vikings Hawks is still serving when going off the top of the net Cassidy sends it over set up on the outside Cassidy Wiley now Gephardt will punch that one over quite literally see life as she did Williams right in between the Libero ian hawke saw so Gebhardt credited with the kill as snow or he enters the game after that nosebleed literally trailing three in the first set Noonan to serve that one hits the net another substitution for Beverly as McGary elixir makes her way in for Noonan 12-8 Winthrop bleed snow Wiley for spray the attack sales far [Applause] 14:18 for your Winthrop scores here coach Madeline might call the timeout snow does a good job of getting there Cassidy can't get there to keep that one up near the far referee and coach Padovani gotta call time uh world is on the Senate page fourteen eight lead a floor Winthrop after barely went on to take the lead seven to six in this first set Winthrop has really taken over [Music] scored eight of the last nine points in this game in snow leaving temporarily with that injury of course now she's back it seemed to definitely affect Beverly's play as Mulligan came in for her the very next play made an error resulting in a point for the Vikings now that snows back in coach Padovani trying to get her team on the same page snow leading that breakdown of the huddle definitely a leader on this team and she's showing it playing through this snow her return tax on the outside that lands out of Almaguer little watches its sale by 49 now Mulligan trying to sub in or it's brown a little bit of a confusion on that Beverly bench to serve some snow returned by Winthrop great effort on that second touch Cassidy gets it past a block attempt it's not gonna count against Winslet Mulligan gets blocked boy was that Caroline or the freshman middle blocker walking mulligan there great play by the freshman 15 nine went through bleed in a another quick point to leave that one off of Magette it is sixteen nine now Winthrop really running away with this place set here in Beverly snow sends it immediately back outside attack hits the net point Beverly only down six here in this first set serving will be Wiley and it sets it up to the outside dead hearts their wily sagacity hurts act gets past the double blocker at Winthrop that was 2 foot in Earl [Applause] they're going on a bit a little bit of a roll now another quick point for Beverly believe that was Hawks that couldn't handle it on that back line we're gonna get a timeout from the Winthrop Beverly putting something together here only trailing 16 to 12 now they were trailing by as much as eight at one point in this set they've cut it down to four coach Padovani discussing with her team [Music] haven't heard much from Cassidy tonight but Noonan and Sprague have been there as well as snow yes he actually just want got one past the double block [Applause] wilee still serving [Applause] dugout by the Libero and sent over but it's going to be point Beverly [Applause] four straight points for this pan 13 16 13 now [Music] wilee sent over a tax from Cassidy couldn't be handled by Winthrop Lacey Scott distill hand up there to really save herself caffee really connected with that one 16 14 Beverly on a roll Wiley still serving sent over by the Libero McGarrigle Wiley Gebhardt sails out of bounds the Winthrop regains the ball bill served what Beverly really put a dent into this Winthrop lead 1714 now serving will be senior captain Deanna Petula snow she returns it boy Beverly Panthers are playing a much more complete game right now as Newton comes in for McGarrigle not a lot of mistakes or this Beverly team in this first set even though they see themselves right now trailing by two as Cassidy was served the last serve sailed away past the Emma attack from patina dug out by snow on dig pink night in Noonan schenzel rock it over and over to action 13 all this one hi wiley sets it up for Mulligan Hill 16 17 Beverly creeping up on this Winthrop lead while he set that one up beautifully Logan was there to put it away looked like an old Gary Payton as Shawn Kemp out here he serves from Cassie's gonna sail far 18:16 went through bleep momentum certainly has shifted Beverly is really getting it done in this first set and despite the score I believe is played like the better team while he sends it over trying to catch the Olympic team off-guard sent over kept up nicely by Cassidy kept up by ye but that's gonna land out of bounds [Applause] 1960 Wiley sets up for Mulligan tough play to get it over but it's made snow Wiley I'm outside from Munich he's going out of bounds so Beverly after gaining a lot of momentum the seemingly letting this first set get away as Padovani takes another timeout winter bleeding 20 to 16 [Music] [Applause] the Libero coconut she deserved for the Vikings Wiley sets it up for Mulligan drops it in tax from booty no Noonan gets it past the double block that it's sent over by Winthrop while he sets it up again this time for Gebhart kokanee she ultimately sent over and cookie dugout by snow 21:16 before the Vikings token - nice - sir [Music] snow wiley for mulligan tries to put that one away and she does mr.

angie jumping for it it went over her head and past her reach his sprig enters the game now 21:17 this first set is not over mulligan now serving for the Panthers that serve into the net [Applause] 22:17 now - fuh snow [Applause] points gonna be awarded to Enzo believe it was wily and whipped at twice consecutively why there's a good job Laila giving her team a chance to return it and they do Latino in the van at point heavily 23:18 fighting leads serving now will be get hard to be Hamilton want him transferred [Applause] Mercer could be handled by kokanee she they're really still in this Gebhard to serve again kokanee she Noonan battling at the net Wiley sets it up for Gebhardt past the block attempt at return get heart first there for Beverly Wiley now for snow her return just barely gets over ball was rolling on top of an ed intense lolly here noon and trying to end it she does it was tipped up briefly by windswept Latino ends up sending it out of bounds so Beverly one point down 23 17 it's now 23 [Applause] so serving is Gebhardt [Applause] sent immediately back Gebhardt is their wily sets it up this one's for Sprague in the middle it sends it home 23:21 winter coats Christie Scott not pleased talking directly to Bertino Beverly trailing 23:17 has brought it to within two in this first set 23:21 all off the service of Gebhardt so on that last point wiley set it up for a beautiful spread killed Beverly's already help there in the twenty seconds in for them in that time out Gebhard still serving out there with her will be snow Cassidy you mean widely and spray Gebhard sir kokin s he lets it roll off the fingertips but it's sent over from Italy by the Vikings Wiley will set it out for Sprague again can get a lot of leverage on it nice block at the net behind Noonan gonna try it again point Beverly control at the end of this first set five consecutive points for the Panthers they trail by only one now Noonan with two blocks on that service alone snow sends it out of bounds so it's going to be set point for Winthrop Beverly needs to play perfect here bubble sub swig of iTunes stray jee-in Bertino out a navy pasillo as well as hawks are you doing the serving here will be Hoxie the surf from Hoxha kept up by snow while he sets it up for Sprague her attack handled by the Vikings it sent immediately back Neuman first and sent over by Wiley setup to the outside attack a lot of power on it Newton was there snow can have to be sent over here by Wiley and it is what a confusion three players for winter up didn't it plagues the turn hits the net they lose the first set 25 22 he's going back in for a little bit 10 Olympic took control and almost lost their lead they had a six-point lead against Beverly Beverly came to within 1 towards the end of that first set [Music] you are watching that channel here with your idea we'll help you get started with producing your own show editing it and then we'll broadcast it to all of Everly for your follow us on Facebook and Twitter contact us at nine seven eight nine two seven five five four four or email us at admin at vodka morg we're back here at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse at Beverly High School where Winthrop took the first set against Beverly 25 22 and that set could have gone either way all back and forth towards the beginning for about 14 points and then Winthrop really pulled ahead when snow went out briefly with that nose injury we're gonna call it in a nostril head wound sounds a little more scientific to them and those group sounds a bit more tough and she came back in that first set and proved to be just that very tough vocal leader in the huddle on the court a big help to that veteran team per set that saw themselves down 23:17 and brought it all the way back to 23 22 for ultimately in Winthrop took that first set I looked for Beverly to win the next three sets they are the better team here I believe maybe she's home cookin maybe I'm biased but Cassidy had a few bright spots in that first set Gebhardt looked good as well and Noonan had a lot of power on some of those attacks as well as Sprague Wiley doing a good job setting things up for these outside hitters both teams as we said riding to game win streaks at the moment [Applause] serving would be wide to start this second set Beverly looking to even things up [Applause] Circe and Wiley will land in there that's gonna be an ace everybody takes the lead one-nothing in the second set [Applause] [Music] why is sixteenth Ace this season finisher from why we kept sending it over you get a vote why he sets it up for Cassidy on the outside sends a Ripper over but it's gonna be returned by the bumpiness coconut she sends it while he sets this one up for Deb Harper attack lands hidden excuse me lands out one here in the second set Scot to serve for the Vikings firstly returned ultimately by Gephardt Scott kokanee she that lands in there McGarry wasn't sure what to do what to do with it tries to play it safe with point to the Vikings that one sails way out to to Noonan inform agaricus servant will be Castle Cassady cumbia nice one for the Panthers they take the lead three two [Music] neither sir from Cassidy the jump sir Parsa kokanee she that one drops another point Beverly they leave for two [Music] [Applause] spot we'll send it over Mulligan Riley and Gebhardt outside attack going cross-court wily snow it sent over dugout by Coca machine that one's gonna land out of bounds point family another point for the Panthers and coach Scott for the Vikings not pleased [Applause] cassadee that's gonna go off of token SE and out of bounds cassadee's serving 13 to four consecutive points when there's a very loud ringing foam on the court [Applause] still going it's very annoying [Applause] Scott sets it up on the outside past the double block mutant Wiley a nice attack from Mulligan but it's sent immediately back Mulligan getting a lot of power on some of her strikes tonight snow sends that one over too much power on that one [Applause] the serve first touch by Cassidy immediately sent out of bounds over two straight points for the Vikings try to get something going here the second set has been not dominated by better look where we claim much better second set in the 10 points that have been scored moving with the upside attack sent right back by pasillo snow with a strike let me be dragged out by hawks snow flame very well for the Panthers this evening 7:4 lead for the Panthers Mulligan's sir first touched by token Ashley have setup Cassidy there to stop it Noonan forgave art and she sends it over Scott Scott will ultimately send it over tough play there for Beverly but snow coming in from Mulligan as Winthrop takes the point [Applause] surfin kokanee she spray that's it past the block that sent over by the Winthrop that was Scott's no first their wily forgive heart she tries to drop it in sent right back heart beautiful play there by Gebhardt tries to drop it in has strange e coming in charging as well as coconut she when Gephardt gets a return to her realizes coconut she's out of position and buries it in the back eight to five lead for the Panthers Gephardt serving after that kill up on the outside quickly be kept up by Cassidy getting up a little slow after that [Applause] eight-six Beverly lead Jesse Wiley for snow sent over Cassidy's first their deaf heart tries to keep it up but since that one into the ground eight seven Beverly still didn't coach data by out of her seat decent pacing serve from tufa Wiley the snow outside attack from Winthrop and Cassady can't take it out again second time in the past minute or so that we're diving to her left is not successful all moderate at eight in this second set winter bleeding one set to none what's up on a roll now cassadee widely trying to chase it down but winter takes the lead 98 in the second set their first lead in this set that Avani not calling a timeout yet that one goes into the net 9 9 Brown in for Cassidy how the body must have seen something giving cassidy a bit of a breather here [Applause] before a couple times in this set along ace Beverly takes the lead again Noonan with that ace ten-nine Beverly Eve Noonan continuing her shame another serve another word a saloon in cassidy vacuum [Applause] moon in two straight serves two straight aces Noonan will hit the net on her 30 10th McGarrigle will be subbing in [Music] shoving in from new Hawk Sol will do the serving now for Winthrop Vikings trailing 11 to 10 in this second set first serve hasn't even reached the net that looked like 50 cents opening day pitch for the Mets a couple years ago it was putting close [Applause] Brianna snow serving sales out of bounds so back and forth though the Panthers and Vikings [Applause] the Tiki that the surf smells there first Wiley Cassidy had a lot of power on that outside attack but just got too much leverage on it all tied at 12 here in the second set another sir from the teacher Cassidy Riley forecast be on the outside trainer team herself and she does boy Beverly they retake the lead [Applause] so some wily sent right back five in the barrel Cassidy chose to drop it in Scottsdale Scott will try to send it over it's not Wiley on the outside for Gebhardt another tackling Deb are the points for family 1512 get worked out a couple of those place tonight where she gets stuff and then her return results in a point [Applause] still serving as Wylie that's gonna sail out of bounds so on other points for Beverly that's their third-straight why are we trying to keep it going [Applause] returned from Winthrop Austin at another point Beverly 1614 four straight points for the Panthers [Applause] why it's early staff sets it up on the outside Jesse touch my McGarrigle Gebhardt now on the outside boxer there Scott sets it up for oil she gets the point 16:14 that's the freshman from Winthrop Caroline Earl so from Scott senior captain for the Viking it's Mulligan a lot of how those attacks tonight 17:13 Mulligan keeps getting it done Noonan in for McGarrigle and Cassie will serve [Applause] so Jen Cassidy bought a spin on it too much to the Vikings panel 1815 now in set number two cassadee's still serving for the Panthers [Applause] definitely taking seven of the last eight points as spot calls a timeout for the Vikings and she hasn't even gotten off the bench or even set a word to her team following this timeout and now she has to shake in her net in disappointment [Applause] Beverly playing a much better second set than they did the first I think they played good enough to win the first set and I'd be surprised if they don't go on to take set number two throwing in flora from these Winthrop Vikings [Applause] yeah said he's still serving stop sets it up for the outside blocked at the net by Newton Mulligan was there for the help as well but it was noon he put at home 2013 now has to be still serving for the Panthers five more points until they take this second set from the Vikings [Music] Liman Gebhardt for mulligan gets it past the block attempt by your always falls to the ground [Applause] Scott trying to plead to the refs but to no avail 21:13 and pebble you need Scott sends it over Noonan confusion between Union and tenacity as Nina got in the way of chat but we still with a seven-point lead in the second set 21 14 [Applause] Latino Cassidy Allah gave me more power on it this one sales will fall on 15 [Applause] the silho serving for the Vikings who served first touched by snow then Wiley lopped it over by the Union FAFSA for Scott while he sets it up for Mulligan past the block of Earl set up so Hawks on the outside pushes it over it's now Cassidy Wiley on the outside for a bar drops it in tip fire yeah whoa 22:15 Beverly me [Music] Sprague in now for snow all five once the players were going for that ball nobody even came close Mulligan's serve boxa out-of-bounds 23:15 Beverly two points away from taking this second set stalks out Bertino in [Music] sir Sir Mulligan touched by token as she walked by spray coin Beverly it's that point now 24:15 the first set was close he's one by one through 25 22 this one not so much Beverly clearly dominant serve for Mulligan that'll say a lot about winter words to see another point [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Cassidy Wiley forget hard Portland he's Wiley was called [Applause] 24:17 now couple of mistakes for the Panthers have given Winthrop some hope so libero coconut sheet Cassidy why this prey sent over poverty no but it hits the net 25:17 is the spoils the second set in favor of the Panthers were all tied here at once set apiece this one's just getting good [Applause] you creativity is putting your imagination to work and it's produced the most extraordinary results in human culture [Music] dreams come from inspiration inspiration comes from an idea and ideas come from creativity we believe in raising up a new generation of creative minds and it all starts with you helped sponsor the award-winning Beverly High School meeting program so the students can have the resources they need to make dreams happen you [Music] welcome back to the Henry Cabot Lodge field house here at Beverly High School we are tied at one set of peace in the match between the Winthrop Vikings in your Beverly Panthers Beverly winning that second set 25 to 17 after losing the first 25 22 interesting to note in this third set Winthrop has made a change at libero it was Amanda kokanee she the senior and now it will be junior Stephanie strange e number two she will be wearing the white shirt in being third man V libero duties for Winthrop I'm Alex legal here for Beth kam sports channel 22 thank you for watching [Applause] [Music] so coconut she and strange e we both still be playing but strange e now is the Libero coconut she out of that role at least for this third set we saw a little bit of strange in the first two sets not much she was out there a bit though we should to see if coconut she's time diminishes because of the change of revellers we'll see she definitely was one of the brighter spots on this one 15 it seemed like in those first two sets Gebhardt sends it over and already the new libero strange e committing an error one nothing better lead in the third set [Applause] why they deserve now too much on that Winthrop first touch that was to fund sends that one out of bounds to Olli quickly for the Panthers just as the second set started another serve from Wiley another point for it whoa excuse me eyes poked away too soon there's kokanee she who's on the court in the house sends it over excuse me that was Cassidy three nothing lead to start this third set push battle on his team clicking on all cylinders right now in all phases [Applause] where we gained a lot of confidence in that second set playing the way they did cassadee and that drops right in front of Jabbar so Winthrop takes the first point of the food now serving will be the senior captain Casilla [Applause] her surface test audacity widely and then snow sent over by Earl Mulligan another attack that one sells out about Hawaii so two straight points for winter after the gate the first three to the tactics [Applause] pasillo still shaken cells out of bounds if the silhouette will exit in her place we'll come in carolyn Kinsella another freshman on this Winthrop team one of three Kinsella seen her first minutes of the night so coach Scott making a few changes in this lineup for the Vikings one was the change out of arrow and out comes Ella getting some minutes his Allen sells out of bounds Beverly leading five T in the third set [Applause] wondering if you change out libero will defect in time for eco connection doesn't seem like that's the case says she drops that one and resulting in a winter point [Applause] 5:3 Earl out the tikki in [Applause] surfing the new libero YN and get more can be handled by kokanee she will run over the net six three now these for the camels serving will be Mulligan Mulligan having a great game both serving and at the net [Applause] Mulligan will ask for a mulligan on that one that one hits today go some back and forth over now to start mr.

wood sets them back in for mobile serving will be too far on the Viking side sir from too far sprague now trying to drop the hammer on this liking team while he sets it out before Gebhardt she sends it over that's dropped in a damn heart has some knack for getting it in between every Winthrop player it's another one third time this Dan she's done something like that what placement seven for lead now for the Panthers boys coach Padovani sure glad Gebhardt came from Wylie Gebhardt drops it in frames you couldn't handle it point Beverly yep art having a very good third set so far as her team leads eight to four [Music] and then at his dick a tonight here at Beverly High School great play sent over by can seller at least ride to America sailed out of bounds 94 as I was saying dick pink night here at Beverly High School raising awareness for breast cancer Danny you can see the Beverly campers wearing those pink you knees [Applause] attack on the outside Noonan and Sprague there this has to be the most talented Beverly front line I've seen since commentating games here straight sends out drops a handle point cleverly 10-4 lead now good answers as I was saying this fault line great for belly and have the abyss ISM of Noonan mulligan fantasti who can also play close to the head and you have Sprague a dominant blocker there in the middle [Applause] Beverly isn't used to really having but they definitely have it this year and they're using it to their advantage of Sprague after return arrows from winter up 11 for now Lee for the Panthers in this third set timeout Winthrop spots seen enough Beverly taking control of this third set Winthrop scored at one point to cut it to 6 4 it's been five straight points for the Panthers since deaf heart playing very well in this third set in Beverly and we're really going in that first set when they dropped it to Winthrop they made a huge comeback at the end now they didn't win that first set but they were able to carry that momentum in in a second winning 25 17 in Terry it also into this third one as they lead now 11 to 4 [Applause] that part still stirring for the Panthers [Applause] you see first touch by two foot then Scott to fill out to send that over she dies tip on how Wiley sets it up on the outside from Noonan the Justin midair strange he's there for the Vikings attack now coming block by Sprague 12 for seven straight for the Panthers excuse me six straight can sell all the freshmen out pasillo in coach Scott having a talk with her freshman player Kinsella he struggled in her time in their gonna be a learning experience for her ska has three freshmen on her roster two of them have played tonight Earl playing a rotten Kinsella gating those minutes in this good son so Winthrop has a lot of bright spots especially oil standing a five nine as freshmen holding her own with his father to frontline Point Winslet lecture hall is it's gonna be on Wiley twelve five barely still eating and coconuts you will serve Cassidy Wylie for spray she gets blocked kept up Cassidy I sent over by Deb horn Scott sends it over wiley sets it for Sprague blocked spray keeps up again wiley sends it out of bounds on her turn that actually hit off the bottom of the scoreboard there to give her a whole lot of time to adjust and send her over so two quick points for Winthrop trying to get back into this third set kokanee she serving again Cassidy Wiley for Gebhardt gonna be a little bit too much mustard on that one so another point for Winthrop getting the Beverly lead down to five-minute was as much as eight at one point kokanee she Cassidy first to touch it wildly from Noonan and outside attack but kept up pasillo in a battle is sprayed in Wiley noon in another attack that we just rolled off the side of her hands oh so Winthrop making a run of their own for straight for the Vikings [Applause] we're freeze discussing not sure what [Applause] it's gonna be Beverly point not sure what the referee said 13 7 coconut she not happy sucks the ball underneath the net Derrick I don't know what that call was was explaining to the winter upside Noonan kept up by the Libero sent over my stock bound 14-7 sailing again here 15 7 now Newman's Delphic game tonight [Applause] Newton sir that's going to be an ace turtle off the top I've had two straight aces for Noonan and the Panthers can I get a heel bone ooh and this one's been sale far she just had two aces so pretty sure Padovani will take it as Noonan comes out mcgarricle comes in 1688 for the Panthers now [Music] new new for Cassidy on the outside too far out a hard time handling that one drops point Beverly we're hauling away with this third set as Mulligan comes in for spray gets 17 eight now Beverly clearly the better team Winthrop has no answers for that front line no answers for the outside hitting of Noonan Mulligan claims oh yes no claims late defense has Beverly scores another point there not a single player on the Beverly side is having a tough game ball coming easy snow one going off of kokanee she has to be sent over now on the third attempt it is by Priscilla Wiley you get called hit that one twice [Applause] when we say and serving for the Vikings will be Scott and when it's the net point Beverly ball of every Wiley to serve again [Applause] tokenize she will have to send that over she does Gebhardt punches that one out of bounds 1910 [Applause] serve from pasillo kept up nicely by McGarrett oh you'll have to send that over she can't get enough mustard on I actually hadn't called along headed on saying he thinks routine does not want this third set to get away from them and allow Olympic to come back into this why leave for Mulligan's she sends it over stranger spot for coconut coconut only five two shouldn't get up for [Applause] so higher than I've been I can barely get a better vertical than me cassadee drops that one doubled walk was there to stop it Cassidy sends it over again Scott keeps it on her side the saw has to send it over out-of-bounds point Beverly so pasillo will exit in the freshman kinsella to see more action Caroline Kinsella a defensive specialist Cassidy with jumpsuit sent over by strange Yunnan on the outside Newton at the net kept up by Winthrop Cassidy while he sets it up behind her forget mark that one hits the table that comes right back when we trying to put this third set away the Winthrop is hanging on 22:12 sent back by Cassidy point family what a play by Maddy Cassidy diving to her right to keep it up it gets sent over resulting in a Beverly point Mulligan out there it's gonna be bear they seen her first action of the night is avery bear sophomore setter the only sophomore on this team no freshman one sophomore the rest all Gees and seniors for this Panther squad coconut she sends it over while he sets it up so Sprague too much your honor 2114 more subs for Beverly bear out Mulligan right back in the net spot sent it right back by Wiley Noonan forget heart bumps it over set on the outside for token Ashley tries to get it over but can't do it 22:13 [Applause] Deb hard to serve now for the Panthers strange II had no idea what to do that's got to be a point Beverly that one hit the line strange II gave up on it way too early [Applause] 23:13 Beverly two points away from leading this match two sets to wanna stop still in this pasilla she'll be entering for Kinsella [Applause] serving will be coconutty [Applause] certain token a she results them to a point while he isn't sure to do that miscommunication between her and spray the other net twenty-fifth market within eight we have to play near-perfect volleyball here to take this F from Beverly as though he just needs two points to take it from them Wiley on the outside for noon and the attacker kept up by calculation Mesilla on the outside in it and maybe just like Beverly did with that first said you know buried it'll in that first set they came on late to carry the momentum and you one throw up is trying to do a little bit of the same as coconut she continues to serve 23:16 Noonan Wiley for Sprague blocked out the net point Winthrop Advani gonna call timeout here her team winning at one point twenty three to twelve it is now twenty three seventeen reminiscent of that first set she look better than me to come back cult you in Winthrop one that set click that Avani probably just saying we got two more points two more points to go in this third set then we're leading and then we have one set left to win clearly Beverly's a better team here in my opinion maybe even of them bias and even if you're not biased it's pretty obvious as bevery team is clicking tonight Mulligan as I was saying playing very well a lot of power more than usual but we've seen from her Noonan playing Zoe Wolf's no playing great defense that part playing well wily blade set Sprague playing well up in that as well in Cassidy always seeming to shine in every facet of the game this Beverly to third straight match tonight I would be surprised if Winthrop takes another set tonight from the Panthers coconut she's still serving while it snow sends it over gonna be point family that one lands on the line just inbounds and just like that it's set point Panthers 24 17 [Applause] Muni trying to end this third set for serve first touch my coconut Scott sent over cassadee sent over by Wylie bacilli point Beverly 25:17 spot not pleased with her team's performance in that third set Beverly winning the third set by the same score they won the second 25 17 Beverly now leading two sets to one he just needs one more set to take this match from the Winthrop Vikings [Music] welcome back to the Henry Cabot Lodge field house here at Beverly High School for the Northeast volleyball match between the wins were Vikings and eHome Beverly Panthers um Alex little for both cam sports thank you joining us here tonight on channel 22 for this great volleyball match Winthrop one that first set 25 22 but it was Beverly who put a late charge in in that first set scary momentum on the next one which they won 25 17 and as well in the third set they won 25 17 Beverly as we said leads two sets to once they're on the top left of your screen and after that first set loss I predicted Beverly would win the next three sets and sent Winthrop on packing in they've done just that so far they took the second they took the third and I expect nothing less from this Beverly team that is playing very well tonight believe we'll take this fourth set in Winthrop waltz score more than 15 points here in this fourth set Beverly the much better team they've been wearing this Winthrop team down rotation alone on the Winthrop team excuse me if the rotation on that Winthrop team is too low these girls are getting tired even though they switched love arrows they were no match for Beverly in that third set [Music] [Applause] so it's Mulligan chasity Gebhardt Wiley Sprague and McGarrigle snow waiting to come in [Applause] service start the fourth set is wilee [Applause] station while we first touched by token a she sent right back by Cassidy point family to start this fourth set [Music] [Applause] [Music] Wiley's serving again no connection digging you out again Scott keeps it up coconut she tries to send it over another point Beverly in the fourth set starts the same way the second and the third set started Beverly off to a quick - Oh lead [Applause] wilee it'll land out of bounds point in Winthrop 2-1 Scott will do the serving for Winthrop in the first service of this fourth set [Music] chasity sent over by wily widely forget heart on the outside can't get a pass the double block she'll try again she gets a pass sent out of bounds there's gonna be a car on on a Winthrop layer its gun points gonna go to Beverly I'm not sure what it was coach Scott arguing the call number 16 so it was Earl he's making illegal contact with the net so point will go to Beverly caste will sir it's 3-1 lead for the Panthers [Applause] since a few Cassidy must be sent over by the Libero not enough on it for one Panthers lead in the fourth set [Applause] [Music] another jump surgeon Cassidy Scott castilho tufa Cassidy's there Riley ternoon and a lotta mustard on that one strange couldn't handle it doing it with a rocket this is the best Beverly's played all season [Applause] and they've lost a set they've had a few sweeps three Oh but the way Beverly responded to that first set loss and really take over this match has been something Yunnan wily she's gonna get called for - it's the fourth time she's done that tonight pasillo to serve for the Vikings it's the NAT point Beverly substitution as Ken Stella the freshman is going to come in for pasillo and she's in [Music] Mulligan out Bearer in for the Panthers [Applause] bear in the surf surfing very early return by coconutty for Noonan on the outside range a good job of keeping it up hasn't sent over by coconut dish - City spray gets it in there it's a kill house the diverse range 72 Beverley taking control trying to put the Vikings away quickly here in this board set Kinsella that one hits that point Beverley [Music] freshman Kinsella getting more minutes played in the second third and fourth sets for the Vikings or all the other freshmen for one prefers played most of the minutes here for the Vikings as well and just like that she'll come out servings gonna be the Libero strategy [Applause] eight free leave for the Panthers sails out of bounds Noonan just has to watch it easy play for her as Gebhardt this serve now thirteen meeting nine three two sets to one here in the fourth set yeah mark serve if the net falls down on the Beverly end - for now children for the Vikings [Applause] [Music] Cassidy Wiley sets it up to spread she throws it over nice play by Jeff hard to keep it up Wiley battling token as she has an ad the Bell is gonna be won by Wiley 10 Ford Beverly Leeds serving now will be Noonan another service of every and another mesquite the last to service with Panthers have hit the net to serving errors in a row for Beverly so you need come out McGarrigle I'm Koka mushy now serving for the Viking [Applause] till Konishi at today's for the Vikings snow miss Brady Beverly lead now down the four maybe fourth set [Applause] Wylie for snow it's a net so what's up still in this fourth set ten seven nobody was up by as much as seven in this fourth set now up only by three coconut she's still serving Y for Cassidy Scott sets it up for Priscilla lost that one up Cassidy's first on the scene wiley will set it up for jay park her attack taken by the Libero Scott now sets it up for to fund McGarrigle Wiley Ferg acity on the outside 11:7 Cassidy with the bomb there surveys energy snow-capped up by my room foot pasillo snow nice play there by gap hard and snow ultimately gets it over to foe [Applause] token uh she ends up getting it over Gebhardt has to get it over that one hits the net so miscommunication for Beverley resulting in them to think the lone eight every lead in this fourth set serve and be sent out of bounds point Beverly that serve came from the teacher [Applause] wily serving again with the Panthers kokeshi then scuff while he sets it up for Cassidy right in front of a diving Strang g-protein eight Cassidy another bomb they're barely extending their lead to five Wiley serving again too far Angie did all she could to track that one down Wiley serving the enemy team leading 14 eight [Applause] pasillo drops it Wiley yeah bark nice attack she paints the corners like Picasso there 15:8 leave for the Panthers now they lead by seven in this fourth set still serving his widely kokanee she's in Scott sets it up this time for the freshman locked at the net believe that was Mulligan Wiley sets this one up on the outside it's Cassie again the history [Applause] Scot to serve for the Vikings her sir on a straight-line McGarrigle gets it wildly sends it over scott sets it up for earl the freshman snows there to catch it Gebhard sends it over another drop this time it did result and the last ones gave Arthas put out while he sets it up for Mulligan there's the power we've seen all night from Mulligan right at the net 16:9 noonan back in from McGarrigle now Cassidy's serving who sails just out of bounds 1610 I predicted winter wouldn't get more than 15 points in this fourth set get little Kloss the solo hits a knack point Beverly see a couple selves here snow comes out mulligan will come out and will be Sprague in Barrow they are in the serve kale is settled by trade but she's in the serve serving specialist for this Panther team Matt's an ace prepare comes in and provides something for the Panthers immediately strange II couldn't take that one out 18:10 lead for the Panthers bear trying to do it again let us serve stranger miss Clayton to send it over do it almost hit morass 1910 another point for Beverly Bearer continues her service bear had eight aces coming into tonight [Music] fair's served percentage $0.78 back like the silho out of bounds another point Beverly impaired doing a good job at the strike pasillo coming out Hawks are coming in strange to see coach Scott for winter not calling a timeout in this fourth set there deserve set I believe that was widely went off her right arm on a position their bearer comes out Mulligan back in bear doing a great job serving for the Panthers their 2211 serving will be the Libero from winter her serve first touch by Cassidy while he's gonna set it up Sprague Barrow Sprague doing a good job at the net tonight 21:11 clearly the Gebhardt serving for the Panthers sir from Gephardt miss played by Hawks I'm this played again by Hawks after Scott dug it out and kept it up [Applause] cavity looking to go seven and four after this win against Winthrop it would be their third straight one point will be awarded to winter Wylie again touching it twice they're doing that a lot this game maybe they'd also be playing at home against Hamilton Wenham that'll be Jeb Hawkes first game against her former team it's gotta be a little easier when Gilead in the home of your new new school that was that was a couple miss plays there by Winthrop number 14 [Applause] 23:12 McGarrigle desert sands elver but can you get enough mustard that was during G so it's math boy here for the Panthers McGarrigle will do the serving [Applause] 24:12 McGarrigle serve first touched by Kufa sent over snow wiley sets it up for Cassidy her strike Beverly winds at 25 12 in the fourth set and they win 3 sets to 1 they dropped the first 25 22 but 125 17 in the second 25 17 in the third in 25 12 in the fourth Beverly dominated that fourth set and Beverly was clicking on all cylinders tonight they improved to 7 and 4 on the season so many players had a great game for betting citywide doing a great job setting things up ruining tonight had set for string of souls in that flip set to help every win blazer actually great at the net Matti Caspi great as always but the player of the game has to be Brianna's snow coming out of the game briefly in that first set with that injury and then leading her team defensively and vocally to a win against one throw I predicted they would have won the 2nd 3rd and 4th sets and they did much better team than this Winthrop team clearly in Breanna snow did a great job for her team and everyone else so for the cameraman mark layman and Matt boo Joe our producer Robert dopes I'm Alex salut Co thank you for watching Bev cam sports on channel 22 we'll see you next week you [Music]

[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] welcome Beverly high school football fans to herd stadium on a little bit over past October 7th Saturday afternoon for the game between the Beverly High Panthers and the Highlanders of Somerville High School how high is the land at 70 and um these teams come in here Beverly is one and three and Somerville is two and two and I was talking to my cohort Bob hops here who tells me that against common opponents they're pretty even right very much so they have both played and lost to learn English and to glossa but the spreads by which they lost were very similar I know almost nothing about some of the other than their record and those final scores of those two games therefore up on that alone I'm going to predict this is will be a close game as opposed to some of them lately I'm thinking that if they have played these two common opponents to about the same scores differential for the national anthem right now dad in northern 500 injured ladies and gentlemen please remain standing now for our country's national anthem performed by the DHS marching Panther band under the direction of be AJ's band director Adam Costa [Music] [Applause] and we're back after the national anthem this is Walt Keselowski with my sidekick Bob Hobbes Bob say hi to the audience welcome to a very pleasant here at the stadium this is a wonderful day for the 7th of October I'll tell you that it's warm occasionally sunny so some dots behind the cloud once in a while but a great day for football and I'm expecting a very close game as I said earlier I'm basing that solely on the two teams record against common opponents which they have both lost to learn English and lost applause however but the the differential between in those games was pretty much the same yourself I'm thinking this could be closer than well if everybody was making a guess at all I'm probably for close game alrighty now I didn't see what happened on the toss did you Bob well Beverly is lining up on the 50 so that means they're going to be receiving the ball obviously and they'll usually have Clark Marshawn and Almere Alice Rafi back deep and that looks like they are getting it back for their coffee number two and Clark Marcia a number 28 both of them are good good running backs good I think I'll shop he had a couple of one of the games he had a return to touch the kickoff return for a touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown so both of these guys can break it down clock crash on has had a very quiet great year he's fair he's in the in the top 10 in receptions and touchdowns and dad's gained on the ground he's productive player and while they were warming up we saw Duncan Moreland number 23 taking some snaps during warm-ups rather than Ryan Bearer who's been the backup quarterback so we'll see what Coach Morin see you know with a one-in-three record he may want to experiment a little bit and for for the for the Somerville team number seven Emerson Clemens is is kicking off and it's a Wow it's a huge huge kick whoa way back into the end zone and what's he running it out I guess he must have touched it yeah oh wow it's almost for safety yeah oh my god he made a mistake in touching that ball that was really a bad mistake he should just it was going right into the end zone why he didn't leave it there gonna take over on about there one no nothing marking but the three yard line so we'll see oh boy what a way to start a game even if they don't take it for months of the field they have got to get out of this hole they're gonna hand the ball over to some very nice field positions deep hole to start the game so Nick berry is at quarterback and it was there Beverly Panthers are in the in the huddle the center comes out over the ball and they break the huddle he's got a mare else Raffy and back of him I'll see what happens there there he's got Marsh on in motion he stops looks like they may have caught I think they got a free play here because I think they may have caught and it's a 285 oh he had his men who had his hands on on the ball there's Bobby Adams for Bobby Adams I know they don't watch the fleet jumped off site and I don't think he get back in time yeah so it looks like a penalty against dance or you're right there so that was a free play really so they'll have first in five a little bit more breathing room oh that was a good play for a free play 200 yeah you can take a shot throw it even he no matter how well covered the intended receiver is you couldn't go for because you got a free play yeah yeah Bobby Adams did get his hands on that ball but he just couldn't couldn't hang on to it he did have a receiver kind of all over them looks like Brian Barrow is out way ride right now they got all kind of people moving around in the backfield and retaking their positions and oh my god this is just and it looks like it so it's and looks like a first down very close that was March on the there's a lot of razzle-dazzle moving in one direction and the other and everybody was moving to the left side and then it was a counter coming back to the right they didn't make a first down on the ball the ball is about the 13 yard line so if they're they're out from under the shadow of their goal post yeah that was a nice one backlash I'm considering gently as you said he was running into against his blocking he was running in a counter play and he made a nice little and it's a handoff right up the middle and it's over probably a 16 or 17 where the refs will mark the ball so it's a gain of about 2 or 3 where they marking the ball the ball is at the it's just over the just over the 15 so that's a gain of about a yard yard no hot nick Barry was consulting with the coach Andrew Morin see this is the second year as head coach for Marty a very nice 9 and 3 record in his his debut coaching year for Beverly yep yeah a good team washer they graduate they're an awful lot of good seniors and this year has been a little bit more of a rebuilding year but - I see every week they take it a little bit better than that's on the coaches quick to them it's a pitch back there on the left side and it's a nice game and that was played in MacAlpine number 12 who's also a very good running back he's seeing a lot of duty this year and they got the first down so Beverly is moving in the ball well here now this was just really if they if they could run this ball all the way down and score would take up a lot of time and give them a lot of confidence getting that first score the game that that's important the boost took them work to their morale and their confidence is what's really important on a drive like this and so far let's look good they've got a very tight formation this time and it's a gift to the second man right up the middle and that's al Shafi and he gains about 2 maybe 3 yards that was tough sledding in there goings that tough about 3 yards on that play that was there they had a very tight formation there one no no nobody outflanked anywhere he's just all 11 men are thin a couple of feet of the ball I'm out Somerville so Somerville takes a timeout they want to kind of reset their defense Beverly's been able to move the ball on on every play and so far they look they look good well even when they have only gained 2 or 3 yards they the line players look pretty good they've been able to move what looks to be a bigger Summerville line pretty much out of their way and so far it's been all Beverly so far so number five is Pat Parsons who's had a couple of nice catches this year during the season he's out wide right and it looks at past play all the way barriers and it's complete - Clayton MacAlpine for about a seven-yard gain alphai maybe more looks like a about a third down and two they have to get to two almost to the 35 just short of the 35 so they got a yard you know it's the key play here on this drug they've got to make this or they've got to punt the ball because they're too deep in their own there's a warrant - this is almost free we've got to get it to about the 34 and a half yard line I think a run to the outside oh my god he's got it no oh he's sure sorry sharp but short they the the the Somerville defense they had that play figured out and it was a fake to the other side and they so Beverly come up to taking the ball over on their own two yard line his face with a fourth and the one North in a long one one and a half at their own now if you're go farther 33 yard line no I don't think so I don't think you wanted like you don't want to give a gift touchdown to Summerville in the early don't make it here you're gonna yeah it's tough they just start off a very bad field position they managed to move the ball well for we've got a two or three first downs and Nick berry the quarterback is going to be punting from his own 20-yard line get himself from the shadow of their own goal end over end and it's Jake Jake knew he could be managed Giovanni air fumbled the ball it ran in back but just was down like a bullet and that's a big jump and the receivers really didn't make a strong effort to catch that just kind of reach out advantage of this mistake by by Summerville and it's a pitch back defensive play yep it's about a five-yard loss six yard loss on that play he broke through the yeah good play by number five and Sondra yeah that was Pedro Monteiro on that on that stop very very good play he just knifed through there and it just looked like he wasn't even themselves in the back he was just surprised as I think that broke area was so Nick very under center he's got Clayton McAlpine and Amir else Rafi in the backfield and it's a pass this time and he's looks like it's a screen pass to plate MacAlpine and he gets it maybe a yard gain to the 45 well I was on the Somerville is it shooting it was a nice catch and run and on a play that could have lost - yeah a connect Alpine is a very underrated ball carrier here and receiver so it looks like it's a third down and about 14 and a half 15 so they've got to dial up a big play here or they competing to have the punt again so it's got 2 min out wide to the left and it's a pitch to the to number 5 oh and he's just smothered by the Somerville defense it was a pitch back to the left side and that was Pat Parsons and that they just were all over that place so Beverly just not able to capitalize on the mistake the simple mistake that Deepak dropped the ball is recovered by Jake Woolley and they weren't able to let's see what happens are they going for it now they're gonna punt so Nick berry the quarterback is back on his own standing on about his own 43 44 yard line Beverly has a chance you have to return the favor on every single building in the shadow of their want goals and it's a high snap and there he gets a high high high kick see which way it bounces it bounces neutrally and it's down about the 22 23 yard line so Somerville will take over for their first offensive series of this game it's Emma for 34 seconds left in the first quarter Bob what do you think well I did a good job of getting other over that peephole they shouted they said they're all three up and get it out there as you said we're unable to take advantage of the fumbled punt but overall they returned the fuel position around very well I thought now if the thief French can hold some good will come out of there and see if I can set the they're not too familiar with the Somerville team to try to get the names get the numbers of these players it looks like there's a penalty on summer villa know what it's for let's see them up so it's an illegal substitution we hear and so the quarterback a look is that number 1 or 11 and it's a give up the middle to number one and he gains about five yards gets back to the original line of scrimmage maybe over over the over the 25 so the ball is on about the 25-yard line so it'll be about it'll be a second second and 10 see if I can get the number water ballast quarterback is number 14 it looks like 11 Jeff Elijah Jeffries is the quarterback for us Somerville number 1 Marcus Thomas is back there they got a man moving to the left side and he's caught in the backfield but he still has he's met by a whole host of Beverley tacklers back there one man Beverley man broke through and just glided right past them slowed him up and then if just a whole thing 10 was going down for looks like a no gain on that plate maybe even a loss of flame by so it's third down and 10 no gain bring the full in mind who they call the Hilltoppers no Highlanders the sorry about that any any Highlanders fans were new to summer but we haven't seen them I haven't seen a period yeah so quarterback is number 14 Elijah Jefferies and he's got number 17 in motion Tyler Whitney Sydney and it looks it's complete - number - the freshmen' giovanni pierre and he just over the last uh party passes beneath the giovanni yeah so tackle by sunday needed that theater third and long third and ten and no huddle offense the larger Jeffrey's is back he's in the shotgun position gets the ball he gives it to his back and there's a gain of maybe a yard he maybe got past the line original line of scrimmage you talk to about the breastplate place it somewhere between the 38 by Justin Cottrell and then they are there they're playing up hurry up offense here Summerville is fine no bottle and that that can be effective if you can do it suggests you know if you can play that kind of a game Claire bat barking signals he stops changing the play maybe changing yeah looks like he's doing an audible and he gives it off to the back and it's a he gets through the initial - line of tackle is about through the line nicely then got pushed back by a whole host of Beverly tacklers look for a moment like that was going to be a long game now has a third about four it looks like yeah so they have a third and four I think it really can force them to punt here it's 0-0 minute 32 left in the first corner the clock is running and Elijah Jeffries the Somerville quarterback he's back there with number 11 Fred Caston it's a long past on the solid the number two and oh it's right off his fingertips and there was a great crash rage it was a wonderful path just led imperfectly yeah and he beat he beat the the Beverly defendant Moreland yeah he beat him he hadn't beaten the receivers just shard onto a little bit cookie just that was a collision once so it's a three on the 44 yard line it looks like it might be going alright I'll ship I don't say anything looks like a punter oh they're gonna go forward the fourth down and three fourth down and four Claire Beck is looking to the sidelines looking to his coaches he's got the play now he's got number 11 Fred Caston back there with him it's in his shot and he gives it to Fred Caston and he didn't make it no he's down he just got over the 45 to about the 46 you had to get to about the 48 hey that so Beverly will take over on downs at the 446 is that marking it at the 45 yard line of Summerville so it Beverly puts up a good defense there yeah that was a funny call on that one I'm certain they had to go ball for you and yeah I think maybe they were thinking Everly was looking maybe for a sweep with some it'll so Nick berry brings his team out I position right in back of him and let's see if they stay that way or break out and he gives it to the third man through who is Elmer else Rafi and else Rafi takes it's a 7 yard game so they had the first two guys blow through the hole and then give it to the third guy so yeah here come on nice block for any time you can get something eyes on your first brush and you're in good shape yeah so it's that it looks like they're giving them about six on that so it's about second down and four for Beverly again they came up come out in that tight eye formation and look very calling signals and gives it to the third man again and he breaks a tackle and second effort on them to get another two or three yards so it's third and about one they need to get down to the 36 yard line of it looks like they need about two yards not give it to the third man throw this time that takes a lot of time that the defense is kind of looking for that now because they do it so often paid now's the time to drop back nope that's the end of the first quarter that's a fast quarter everything was on the ground yeah you're right you're right there with maybe what to do Pass is thrown that hole three passes thrown yeah and there's a chapter clock so at the end of the first quarter here at herd stadium the Beverly Panthers 0 and the Somerville build Iowa's Highland understand close to me typical Highlanders 0-0 and Beverly showed it it could move the ball on the ground and they're in the middle of a of a decent decent series here but this is their third series well the 13 the first service was a very good series to the only one that was moved at office after the recovered recovered the fumble on the putt that next series kind of bogged down very quickly but the first series when they came out from almost on their own goal line and culture were 35 or 36 yard line and now they're moving the ball again so they have the ball on their opponents 38 30 38 yard line I'd say they've got to get down to the 36 and it's a quarterback sneak and they make said you know it breaks it down down and Gary it crosses the 35 done about the 34 yard line so the quarterback keeper there by Nick berry like and berries coming out it looks like no he's conferring with coach coach Clark Marchand comes out I didn't expect it I like the call yeah yeah I think I was expecting that anything they've tried they've been pretty successful on that quarterback keeper right up there right up the middle and you just need to get once to one half a step on the defensive end so again they got that I formation and Nick berry under center and he pitches it back to me rose Raffy and I was rafi again number two they get one man through that that spoils the whole dropping off holy unblocked totally unblocked so that was our loss of about three yards so that pushes it back to the about the 38 yard line of of Summerville so it's a second and 13 for Beverly some of those defense is good in the open field I have big yeah open if you're tackling it's good yeah I've got a good solid hold on and bring him down one-on-one so Beverly's got two men out wide right they got Clark Marchand moving to the right he stops behind the center and it looks like it's gonna be a quick pass and it's it's too oh that was a very quick hitting head nobody even covered him but his people passed the defendant beautiful play that was inside and he was open to it touchdown pass with Beverly draws first blood with nine minutes and 37 seconds left in the first half he's Beverly six and Summerville zero and usually Jake McGinnis is the kicker number 41 for the extra point and there they gonna yeah there he is so he's thinking look it's had Parsons and the ball spotted and it looks good yeah it's good let's take a penalty here against the Somerville offsides against Somerville that will be declined so maybe they'll assess that on the on the kickoff I don't think so I don't know I think they're had a chance to take the ball and closer maybe go for two but they elected their techni okay so with 9 minutes and 37 seconds left in the first half Beverly draws first blood and needs the Summerville Highlanders and the score is 70 nothing so what you think thought that was it that was a beautiful play nobody even forges blue past the defender like the defense was all flat-footed it was a really badly defended B it was just a great cut and a great pass right on the money and the the the defensive back who was covering him down as he was going down the side of the field they're faked out when he cut quickly to the inside and the middle line to found a middle linebacker I guess he was was good was just a little bit too late so I left a lot of open field well it's early well we'll kick off and and Somerville has number two Giovanni Pierre and number six Lucas sake Jean or Sam's all and it's a it's a kind of a ho and it's gonna go into the end zone and that beautiful kickoff yeah and through the end zone it was kind of like a knuckleball series kind of sideways right so they'll have them down on the 20 so Somerville yeah Islanders will take over first and ten on their own 20-yard line and the kick return they did the right thing letting that one go because that was spinning crazily yeah and any attempt to feel that I I'm sure he knew it too was going to potentially be a disaster so I check around 20 what's wrong with that we'll take over on their own 27 nothing wrong so the quarterback is Elijah Jeffries for his he's got a full house back he's in the shotgun the two men wide to the right and oh it says counting to fumbled the ball in number gives it to the number 11 and he kind of dances and tiptoes out to about the 22 23 yard line he had a pretty big hole there it looked like to go through but he just kind of tiptoed through it instead of just blasting to it but he had a fairy so the quarterback Elijah Jeffries looks to a side line there as look into this coach you know more and more you see blob where the coaches are calling a place from the sideline and the number of in motion and it's give to East he's taken down yeah who is that somebody broke through there number 12 that was Clayton the course of a game page 84 the other force loss of about level 5 so it's gonna be third down and a unique line and there was a penalty against Summerville which pebbly of course the class of seven yards on the tackle by Nick Gonzales I'm sorry that I the PA announcer says that the attack was made by Nicholas I missed it I saw Clayton MacAlpine down there so it's a third and 15 for for Somerville and the logic Jefferies has number 11 Fred Caston back there with and he's got two men three men out wide to the right side of the field yeah they gotta have to throw up here after that ouch and he throws it very quickly to the right side and he's got a lot of Running Room and he makes the first down well what a nice play that was quick pretty fair the short side of the field and and that yeah that was every third and 15 and they converted it was a very nicely designed play he got very fast yeah don't try the sweet but just heat the ball to like Kevin Fox used to do for the Patriots he him just give him some Running Room and they can make good things happen all right so so Somerville converts a third and long and I have a first and tenth at their own 32 yard line they've got two men out wide to the right that white side of the field and it's a quarterback keeper and he's got so that's a loss of about seven yards there he was maybe about the 27 so he had Bobby Adams facing them back they're putting a lot of pressure that was the first time they tried a quarterback keeper and it did not work darted off because I got a seven-yard loss on that play six yard loss on that place so it will be awesome so it's second and 15 from the 27 yard line of Somerville he's been winning the battle in the trenches too wouldn't you say yes so again they come up with two wide men to the right to widen in to the left and made a hole right here leaving with a long long it is wide open oh my good all and he's gonna score on this tomb in there and it's a long it's a 75-yard 73-yard touchdown pass and the receiver came down with the ball and it's awful friend the receiver and the couldn't get the ball down ended up right in the receivers hands so with seven minutes and 14 seconds left in the half Somerville comes roaring back into this game with a 73-yard touchdown pass and Somerville and it's a good extra point so that could score with seven minutes and 14 seconds and a half is Beverly 79 these summer those seven some of those kickers got a good look yeah which is poor defense on the part of Beverly that 2mins surrounding them David just boxed in and they kind of bumped into each other yeah landed up on the ground and and then receive it came along to buy it no nothing but well it nice in front of them come on if you guys there's a defensive players you're gonna call for the ball you'd better be pretty sure here at least when I hit it because that's if you're just waving at it that's this is the kind of thing that can happen although that that never should have gone for that distance but once it landed and I receive his hands he had nobody between them on the goal yeah yeah that's that's a backbreaker that Beverly was whispers playing of playing some ago very tough fun very tough on defense didn't allow him to move the ball to L and then one play in there back in the game so this is kind of what I anticipated going on very shaky ground something I chose a tough way that I thought this would be a very evenly play again so Clarke Martian mus raffio back Emerson Clem's is kicking it off or they they were offsides clearly deep deep deep in its Clark Marchand and he's whoa what I hit you Clarke marking off the days and there's a magic now there is a penalty on the on the play it looks like it may have been a block below the knees and the refs are chasing the the summer go coach off the field and let's see what what's going to happen here no it's against it's against the Somerville actually because we call a clip they had to hear do you every head is back to us oh here it is I know buddy when I've never seen it that signal what he's tapping both his knees what what is there does that mean illegal block again thought although Blount no way would Somerville be blocking I don't know I can call the clip and I said oh yeah yeah I thought initially it might be a home with the helmet content on their own 38 yard line we've got Ryan borough wide out to the rule to play and there he is he's wide open throw it yep and his clock Marvin Gaye yo man receiver but Bryan Burrough was wide open therefore for 2 or 3 seconds if the department was that Quebec was rolling to his left yeah yeah it's hard to make a very quick to us really had to throw from that position or even to make that listen to make the decision to throw from while you're running out so why did the right along with Marshawn Nick Barry oh and it's Ryan Berar is offsides he started off no the coach is not happy with that he well there you go this year as you know last week we had there was a bad penalty taken that's they hate to see mental mistakes you know something happens in the course of you know maybe a block on the back because the wannabe trend has turned his back to you at the last I have to deal with so Beverly is pushed back five yards in the first and 15 and he's got a mirror Raffy and Clayton MacAlpine in the backfield and no it's oh that's my don't do it that way whoa what a stiff arm there by Mike Marsh boy the defensive man came up and he just lowered his shoulder and bounced the bed to that bounce right of him but again you saw the the vendor was able to break through it was a made that tackle that would have been another loss Sean did a great shot yeah so it's about a six yard 7-yard gain on that so it's a second second down let's call it eight Beverly from the 48 yard line of of Somerville and it's a good for the second man and Heath whoa Merrill's Raffi just waiting created to the first time sure well he just pulled away from him and gained another six yards or so that was a lot of that was traffic yeah I agree that was eight yards of effort there's a penalty and it looks like it's against some of the remember that the fish show it looks like a bit major penalty Yahoo follows be a personal foul than 15 yards face mask or something yeah it could have been something like that so takes it down to the ROG 26 Summerville so Beverly comes out at six minutes 38 seconds left in the first half the clock running so Beverly has a golden opportunity here to put another score on the board well let's drive they've came 25 yards on penalties so but Marshawn in motion stops behind the quarterback and it's a pass berry back and he swings it over to Clayton MacAlpine looking for waiting room he's able to break oh he had a nice block from number 53 hanging path he's completing the gap on I'm sorry 63 sorry audience 67 there's a nice block by Billy Shaw we might claim MacAlpine game another six to eight yards so Beverly's moving the ball very well they've got the ball on the 14 yard line of Somerville and they're moving the ball well this is the time to punch the ball around absolutely right now Barry and he gives it to a mere else Raffy and he's pulled down by one of the rocky interior lineman again they just leave that guy alone and that was a nice nicely designed play he had a lot of room in front of him go number 78 I think he's the center and I was able to break through the line so that was a loss of about four who's number two three yeah he came off limping in a row after you ran that bowl that time force on the ground oh he came up limping and he's what's happening a little bit of comparison so he's on the ground about this an injury this is an injury yeah no that's not these actually off the field right now but he is down on the ground the trainers are looking at him hope it's just a minor I hope it's you know muscle always hope for a cramp or something like no that will go away in a few minutes but - nothing more serious you hope let's just hope that this that lost their doesn't put a crimp in his drive but they did the linebackers in the defensive secondary of of Somerville are very quick they're very quick to react to the ball come up from their linebacker positions and make those tackles in the that time have to be alignment but before when they tried those sweeps Beverly tried those sweeps it was those linebackers coming up very quick and making nice sure tackles but Beverly comes out and they've got number five Carson so when you give give him the ball and he cuts to the inside and he's smothered maybe lottery boring our game as Pat Parsons number five on the catechol Somerville so maybe maybe the two yard gains was third and about 12 for Beverly yeah so most offensive I think it's rather impressively they're that good on the pursuit and as you said they always seem to have somebody break through the line almost uncontested and their defenses as so far as impress me really McGary britain's the team out and it's a pass all the way and these looks like he's going to be tackled for a loss here's a sacks will be a fourth down fourth down and about 20 for Beverly so that Beverly was not able to follow Oh saved by a facemask penalty against Summerville some villain that's Somerville the coach must be they they stopped Beverly and these are different ways to jump from right now because that's a second baseman le on this drive we're being told by I think that was lame in our spider and feminine mark layman thank you Mark for that worked as a yeoman job here and the camera for us to first down in ten and it's touched off its raw what's he's yeah yeah Marshawn what motion nice sweep to the left and there's no Flags that I can see [Applause] the middle and he just said Obama Connor really yeah it's good yeah he tell me comfortably turn on the Jets around the left side so Beverly Beverly has now takes a 13 to 7 lead with 4 minutes and 21 seconds left in the first half and Jake the gayness back to try the p80 all of the way up ticket and decline know that it was bad so they'll go get to retry it it's offsides some of those absolutely killed themselves on the side fourth penalty at least oh that that's Drive they're just kind of handed this touchdown so Beverly because really they go that looks like Beverly is putting in its two-point team in there now since they got a little bit cold they have been on a one-yard line so Beverly is gonna maybe try for two mylar Cassandra here's where the quarterback sneak might work this is when you write I would call it alright come on Beverly don't get a time don't get a delay a game penalty here so Beverly is gonna go for two they've got Clayton MacAlpine and amaryl Raffy and it's a gift else Raffy and boom for the two points so Beverly texts another to us so with minutes and 21 seconds left in the first half the Beverly Panthers Levy's Somerville Highlanders 15 to 7 laughs Rafi didn't look too gimpy on that one yeah there's a nice power run boulders working yeah as you say a bob - sometimes you just get a little muscle cramp or something something like that but you know going back to that o'clock Marchand I you mentioned it during the warm-up of he's been an all-purpose back he he I think he's in the top ten in both will receive a running of touchdowns you know so I he said I for third touchdown he's he's the kind of guy that is really you know one of the key cogs in your in your offense he can he can score on that keeps coming up that nobody ever talks about these seemingly clayton McAlpine yeah he just seems to be make the big plays when you have to when you need three or four years he seems to be right there so Jake Louganis kicks off its hi-hi-hi coming down about the twenty and he's making it up to about the 25 no not quite to said Clark Marchand who in on that tackle it was a very very very high kick gave the Beverly defense time again it comes up short so a real fluff another fan so you know it they're on the twenty four so that's not bad I mean it's a little bit worse than kicking it through the end zone again at among the twenty but at least it's not up in near the 40 or midfield where you know you hate kicking off and having the the other team take over at midfield if you want to make them work for those that's a good point know these work for those he's only got a few more yards and if he'd have buried in the back of the end zone so okay on the 24th neither nicest and you could say no and Tyler Whitney Sydney are wide to the right for it gives it to the to the back and he's not going to get in and he just smothered by a whole host of Beverly tacklers let's see what kind of forward progress the refs might give him like more than he deserves according to work from where I said but I'm not down there he was leaning forward by albeit a minor matter to the hoax privileges so down in 10 so it's second and 10 3 minutes and 50 seconds left in the first half the clock is running and again they have three men wide to the right one man wide to the left and and it's a pass and he number 2 gets it and he's short of the first down by about two yards that is your line appears a very good game both on offense and defense aside from that one fumble that he had which in the end didn't hurt his team because they're Beverly Phil that was there Beverly's worse to Ceres right there that matter of fact so it's third and one for for Somerville they have to get to to the 34 yard or the 34 and he gives it to the first met back and he's always fighting and he does think he made it made it up to the 35 so that was number 11 Fred Caston they give it to him just over their own 35 and some of those got a hurry-up offense here because there's only two minutes 55 seconds left in the first half and the clock is running well they've been working with a hurry-up offense most of the game is from the get-go so it's a first and 10 for Somerville Highlanders quarterback seems to really take a really lackadaisical beast and it's a long long throw whoa and it's right off the hands of number two yeah that's the Giovanni Pierre yeah I would have been a tough catch but yeah that was like two years two to five but boy yeah he can't he can't throw that ball he's big and lanky number fourteen and he yeah he can get leverage on that ball so their first senator has a second antenna from their own 36 yard line and it's a give to number 11 and he shovel fast makes about makes about three or four yards just short I think of their own 40-yard line where they're gonna mark the ball and they give it to them to nose of the ball right on the 40-yard lines would be a third in about seven for iron or Somerville and it seems to be a little bit of running from one side of the field of the other and it's he fakes to the number 11 and it's a throw and it's complete and that was number 19 lazier Moishe Nazir and is there Nazir so they take it down to about the 45 yard line of Beverly 46 yard line up every minute and 37 seconds on that out of bounds he does he has a very quick release and spot on to Rita's yes money yeah [Applause] you know if it's a number 11 again and he's fighting for yardage he gains a bottle eight yards on that play as Fred Caston and it'll be a second day off than on the you can talk about a clock margin so it's a second down in about three four he saw Vilnius so minute and 11 in a 10 minute nine the clock is running and moving the ball but if they're I don't know why the timer they lost about 10 or 15 seconds they still haven't got the play in the into the quarterback mayor's position yet and they're still sitting there I wonder what's going on here and number six yeah oh my goodness I was looking for I saw that guy and I said he's doing right there he's going right there - number six he just slanted in and yeah boy he did all he has to do is that the Beverly defender is way off of the Beverly defender was ten yards off of him boy I think it was turned to the inside all the confusion and motion was on the other side of the field and he was just standing out here yeah yeah as I said like the army lonesome ends at you said in the 50s so it's the first and ten on the 20 looks like 28 yard line of everly 41 seconds left in the half and Somerville looking desperately to put another touchdown on the board here they've got three men out wide to go to the right [Applause] the quarterback is all a snap and it's a long long path to the end zone and it's brilliantly defended by Ryan Farrar he ended on to the ball away in the last second nice defense by Ryan where I saw the reparation over there I was afraid he was reaching for his flag yeah yeah that was could have been pass interference and but you know a really good place yeah I did the defender has has you know can go for the ball as well so it's second down and 10 on the 28 yard line of Beverly 35 seconds left in the half and three they flood the right side the wide side of the field and it's a give up the middle to number 11 it looks like he's got a lot of Running Room he could cuts to the outside and he's down to about them looks very good length about the five yard line Fred Caston on the air and it was Fred cast in there that was a surprise I thought they were gonna pass and they gave it to him he went up the middle and cut to the left side and he's very effective yeah it'll be part of their offensive he's been effective so far 27 seconds left where's the ball being marked on about the 5-yard line I'd say where is it it's about the 6 6 yard line so it's a first and goal at the 6 for Summerville 27 6 seconds left and a half and did they give it Oh a nice catch a quarterback tried to and he's dragged down four by the two guard lost 99 in 1817 looks like Somerville calls a timeout with 18 seconds left in the half that was a good defense there by Bentley he gave it he held the ball in the gut of them of the over the halfback seeing with what the defense would do ready to bomb Beverly Beverly was able to string the ball out and got attorney wrap them all so that was the loss of about two yards so it'll be second and goal at the Beverly eight yard line so let's see if it Beverly can can stop him here and I think that'll that'll get Beverly a nice I hold here would be as good as a long drive because that will preserve a yeah an eight point lead and give them some momentum if you will into the second half what does it say Bob this has been a seesaw game one team scores the other team scores and just back in the fourth both teams have shown good ability to move the ball so far that's been a very evenly matched game hit between these two teams so Somerville comes out to their quarterback a larger Jeffrey's he's still looking out over to the to the to the coaches on the sidelines 18 seconds left in the half he's got the right side flooded I think this will be delay a game can you take and it's intercepted by Beverly I believe and there's a penalty flag thrown incomplete there is a flag bow I wonder what the twelve seconds on the clock oh it's a pass interference by Beverly it looks like oh so it will be half the distance and first down I push down with 12 is that was that officially the call I didn't I can't see if I mean well I it looked like I was watching the referee and uh and that's what he threw what he made it look like similarly some took forever to get that play off I don't know how long you could get before you get that delay of game called so what's going on here I don't see that I don't see the ball being moved anywhere looks like it's repeat no first - no - Beverly take I think Beverly intercepted did they no they didn't it was a prat completely I don't know so does it's me ain't any any repercussions from that flag wrong it wasn't in completeness yeah so it's a first and goal at 12 seconds left in the half it balls on the 9 yard line and there he goes he and it's batted down by Beverly Cleary - the complete and I think that was a mere else Raffy on that actually that bad of that ball down I may be wrong there's too many people around I couldn't tell kids now watching know PA announcer same as Justin Cattell did that that's that's fine look good they roll the defensive people in the area had their hands up in the air and assuming of course it the Quebec has it cannot throw a floater from here he has to throw well he has to yeah so it's um it's second down and goal nine seconds and he throws it to number two and he's gonna score yeah and again that is Pierre Giovanni or Giovanni Pierre I should say Newberry and will pop foul he just threw it out there in the flat and here did the rest of it here's your watch Tom Brady and Kevin flock doing that exact play we just take a step back throw it quickly out to the flat and let the running back while the receiver in this case - whistling looks like there's no time this will be the end of and it's good looks like Beverly will go in climbs on the extra point and at the end a first down for the scores Beverly 15 and Somerville 14 and Bob what do you think well to tell you the truth this was going exactly the way I kind of envisioned it I thought these two teams would you know statistically just what I could see in the paper no I never haven't seen some ago play of course I thought that this was gonna be a very tight game and that the they were very well matched so far this has been probably my opinion the best played half of the season and I think that Beverly looked too good on their drives but some of them did too so this is gonna come down I think to maybe a couple of breaks in the second half and I know some of the hurt themselves with some penalties there they keep thinking penalties and I'm gonna give them an edge to Beverly but if they clean up their game and everything this is going to be a tight game at the end you know I think it looks that way for tonight it's been a very enjoyable game so with with the score the Beverly Panthers 15 and the Highlanders of Somerville 14 end to the first half and Jean song Shawn Lucas song hall and jackleg anus is getting ready to kick off for Beverly and he hits the ball oh it's a bad bad bad kickoff it's taken on the 30-yard line it looks like he's breaking free it's just one man to beat any oh boy oh boy and he brings it back to the 30 yard line never lay that that is for that's the results of a very very poor kickoff oh my and Duncan Moreland finally brought to number 23 brought the Somerville man down and he was absolutely the last line of defense you know it was a touchdown for someone oh boy oh boy oh boy as we said you know it's gonna be maybe the brakes you know yeah and that in that case there Beverly instead of having pushing the the opponents back to the 20-yard line starting there they've got the ball first and ten on the Beverly 30-yard line it's like I almost the gift touchdown here so we'll see I can't touch that little defensive the aggressiveness they give to number 11 who's been a workhorse back for her song ethanol me Harry Stamper Fred Caston it's done a lot of work for them he is he scored that touchdown the bevor that Beverly still had in this game 15 to 14 10 minutes and 27 seconds left in the third quarter second nine for Somerville in the Beverly 29 yard line and number 19 and then they give it to number 11 again and he's able to he's got those nimble feet he makes those yeah those little quick little dancing moves and he's able to tiptoe his way by clayton McAlpine it's a third and about six now for Somerville at the Beverly 25-yard line 26 yard line and they've got to get down to about the 20 yard line yeah this is fourth down territory to oh yeah yeah yeah of course mm still make it yeah so number 14 the logic Jefferies spin it in the quarterback we've been impressed with this young man is this ability to throw the ball and to give again to number 11 and he fights his way picks his way through for maybe about two or three yards there will be a fourth in about four fourth and about three they get down to the mine doesn't look that big he's determined and it just keeps intelligible is very effectively walking for fourth and four for Somerville let's see if Neverland can hold them here quick pass out here and it looks like Somerville's taking a timeout they didn't coach call the timeout didn't quite Summerville liked what he saw there I didn't know what they were for from the 24 so let's see if Beverley could come up with a defensive stop here or not but that that would that would really really put a little change in momentum here would give him a little wind in their sails to take the ball down and and score Wow just run out you know run time off the clock and yeah stop there would be big [Applause] yeah so Somerville has got two minute wide left to and out wide right this looks like it's a quick out pass no the quarterback is going to keep it and he doesn't go to others because not make it he swallowed up by a whole host of Beverly tacklers and everyone will take over first contain on about their own 22 yard line 23 yard line Brooke Davis that was a can't breathe he so Beverly was able to overcome the you know that bad field position that they had or good field position on them Tyler Gary running into the huddle he's look they don't get called for a time here cuz that's the worst thing to do now is their first and ten illustrative nation's offensive play on that I hope this call everybody is in tight for Beverly Nick berry under Center takes the snap gives it to the second man through and that's al Miral Shahin off Iraqi and he games about three three four yards maybe five yards on that so it's a second down and six let's call it for Beverly nice hole over there yeah this is the time for a nice sustained Drive ho Bob - yep that's the same Drive for score here would be yeah would be really vital so eight minutes and 26 seconds in the third quarter the clock game to 14 in a very close game here against Summerville at herd stadium and it Barry looks over his line and it's a pitch back to clock Marshawn he's getting up a head of steam and he's fighting and he gains about longer yards on the carry commodity which is cool yeah it's very close see what they do here they say third in about a half a yard they had to get to it like that no they give him a first down yeah yeah what I liked ethnic Perry that time he pitched it back to Clark Marshawn and he got right into the block instead of just pitching it back and just City standing there right I like that I like that kind of stuff I didn't follow the quarter back on that play that was the fact it was every time they train then pitch back quicker I can't I hold my breath in the Panthers here all right so Beverly takes uh continues this Drive they're at their own 33 yard line first and and ten after they made a good defensive stop on and it's gift to Parsons and he's fighting looks up any games maybe a yard on that play mommy carry so Pat Parsons he's been playing more as the season is gone he's had a couple of nice catches Pat passes and with a Clayton MacAlpine yeah two names that you hear more and more frequently and in the last few weeks I mean they're both working their way into Big Ben bats on this team so they've got Ryan bearer on the on the left it's a second down in ten and it's a fake and there's Barrow area is right there no and it's inside bearer and looks like very close to the first down and that was yeah that we've had Parsons again complete to be deep off Union and where are they going to mark the ball they Mario that's a very close to the first time they might have to measure that powerful they give him a first down as it was just over the yard marker was one side of the room strike with meatballs on the other side so our eyes are better than mine because yeah I was gonna be a measurement yeah I thought so too he made it at all saying the truth at first so Beverly keeps the drive alive here and it's first and ten on their own 43 yard line and they got two men out wide to the right and it's a gifted Oh second man through and that one of the linemen 25 just snaked through there and brought him down almost immediately and that's happened three or four times just came out it has sets a loss of about three yards back to the back to the 40 yard line so it's second down and 13 for Beverly on their own for that that's just happened too many times say that one man breaks that up in about four or five times and just and the thing is it they're they're good tackler to make sure tackling and open field chuckling is a really strong one it's a fake to the back and it's a throw and oh it was to Ryan there but the ball was thrown out about defensive coverage out there put the berries do give me smiler with his instead of forcing the ball and throwing it away or eating it we engage in the dictates yeah I agree with you Bob yeah absolutely so it's a third and 13 for Beverly they're gonna have to convert here they're gonna have to but they'll be forced to punt the ball so they got bare our Ryan bear and up at Parsons out out ride to the left and it's a quick throw Oh and that was intended for Bobby Adams and it was off his fingertips and his almost picked off before it hit the ground I went to one of the Somerville defenders so Beverly after after getting a couple of first downs on that dumb on that drive was forced to punt and again they the Somerville has Giovanni Pierre was back on about his own evil huh 499 30 yard line Nick berry the quarterback back to punt and a force in their zone way here and it's a blind Drive and the ball bounces up in the air and it looks like it's gonna come to rest at about the 24 yard line actually grabbed by a Beverly player and there was a takeover for their first possession of the know a second possession of the second half because they did have a short field there on the first possession weren't able to capitalize and now they take over on their own 24 yard line 5 minutes and 13 seconds left in the third quarter and it's an unusual bounce on that kick because that was a line drive kick and it far at the bounce tray up in the air yeah doll logic I thought that I thought that was your just publish between up in the air didn't it they're good I thought that was going to roll for another 15 yards I'll come back toward the boat lead offense it just died right there so Elijah Jefferies the quarterback he's got two men out wide right to an out feet wide left takes a snap again number 11 and he's trying to get around and he does not get around it looks like he just made it to the line of scrimmage so it's second down and ten for the Summerville Highlanders speaking of a nice open field tackle that was wasn't yeah yeah yep everyone was able to come up very very quickly on that play again that number 11 Fred Caston and they've got the right side flooded they've got three men out there they got waiting humane as Santana Lucas st.

John no he goes back at the Dallas TV show and it's a it's clearly a pass and no and it's too low for number six Lucas ng song goes down down on his shoelaces he wasn't able to come up with the ball it was probably fortunately it didn't because he was a buzzer that cream defeated mommy Adams and it'll be a third down and 10 to 4 so let's see if we can get a three and out here and get the ball back this is what Beverly's defense has faltered a little bit in this game they've given up these first downs on long yardage you're right hold here would be would be here very important be huge the quarterback in the shotgun and it's a long one a bullet and he's got him out there and he drops the ball right through his hands again that was number two Giovanni here I thought he was gonna catch that ball just surprised that these these bags of several outracing the Beverly secondary man he had he had two steps on him and the ball was right there was a perfect perfect well bullet that was a spiral that was three shots was lucky there yes that was right on our money receiver was a little bit discombobulated he initially turned the wrong way but when he turns around he's just didn't recover in time so Emerson Clem's the the punter for Somerville is back on his own looks like about 12 between the 12 and the 13 yard line and he kicks it's a high high kick and it's taken by Ryan Bearer and he's knocked down immediately again by my Pierre by Giovanni Pierre 44 yard line and the Beverly Panthers will take over so looks like on that exchange there they gained about 10 yards receiver by the second pepper so there really comes out they've got two men out wide to the right else Raffy and it's a gift no he fakes it to them and he throws it and it's too bad Parsons and Parsons fights down ace falling along the ground and after all that it's about a three yard I would say 3 to 4 yard game but at least it's in the right direction so a three-yard gain so we'll be second down and it wasn't a ton of 12 yeah it's sack look like it could have been yeah that was really getting something when nothing was there yeah I thought at the last minute that the defender and I thought we might trip him up by just an ankle a shoelace tackle but Barry was able to elude them Ryan Bears out wide and it's a gift to the second man through and it looks like he's fighting for the first down let's see what the left gives him the first down that he was just over he had to make it over though this almost has to be they're giving it to him I think is the this is right on yeah so it's a first down so the ball is out of 45 yard line in Somerville and Beverly is moving the ball they took over on their own 34 and know they might have a free play here but oh oh facemask how do you do I guess they're not calling the penalty they're not like the defender was he got back in Ireland yeah and again they're they just seemed us to dive through and knife through the Beverly he's a big whack you know and see where he'd be hard to move out of the way not even on my chart here thanks Bob hi um I'm at a disadvantage Clark marshawn in motion and he pivots it's a pitch to go and it's Clayton MacAlpine and he fights for maybe two or three yards Harry so it would be about a third and seven for Beverly and they have it at the at the 42 yard line summer they'll give it at the 42 yard line third and seven for Beverly and they come out with the in the I formation and they give it to the third man through and that's so and he's that's el mero scrappy again that number 78 is got behind the Beverly blockers and was able to bring him back from from behind he's a very unusual he's been solid the whole game yeah that's a Quincy bull cache Lokesh Lokesh Lokesh I'm sorry if I'm mispronouncing Ethel and Summerville um fans the OCA GE o ketchup rollcage Quincy Quincy Bo catch is kind of the Somerville version Vince Wilfork he's I had to move out of the way yeah it's a big guy yeah and you know yeah they they sent two men through that hole if they gave it to the third man through and he just kind of waited attack them from behind which I find unusual on the play like that no he's agile for his size to watch them to pursue a couple of plays and he though he hasn't made the tackle he's been right there the Beverly has to make it to just past just past the but three blades of grass plus the 35-yard line of some of it looks like that they're gonna go for it it's fourth down what's down in for a nice fish always gonna be hold it and maybe bat the ball looks like an interception mr.

septic well I mean that's probably as good as you can get because if you'd have punted that's about where you right so Somerville but there was a penalty on the play it's a block it's declined so it's a first down so Somerville no take the ball but you know what if they had to check on the penalty that would not I didn't know what I was they would have moved to punch it back even further that's right and they might have even got better field position other than the interception that's right so was it it was an interception no yeah yes I thought was an interception yeah so they I think they would have been wise just to bat the ball down not to care catch it but again wouldn't know whether there was a penalty and the penalty of course if they attack that Nets would have put the monster enough don't know that tough spot but it's alright for Beverley I think because if they had a punted on that that's probably where the ball would have ended up so someone will take so first and ten on their own 23 yard line the score is still 15 to 14 favor of the Beverly Panthers a minute and 31 seconds left in the third quarter and the up ever of the Somerville quarterback Elijah Jeffries is yelling out to his his his always wide open Oh this is the tackle and looks like he's going all the way unless 23 yeah Duncan Duncan Moreland is a pretty speedy buy back there he brought him down but the first man just missed a melee and there's another long long pass already very quick was he was a quick hitting quick any play every day who's over breaking almost 60 years yeah I said 50s 57-yard according to the PA announcer climb out Beverly Beverly takes the time out there to regroup but boy that hurts they did they had Summerville down on their own 23 yard line and they had been defensing them very well here in the second half not allowing Summerville to move the ball very well and now one play and Somerville's knocking at the door hello Beverly did did hold him on the opening kickoff of the first half I mean second half they had the ball on the Beverly 25 yard line and Beverly did not allow a first down and held them so that's at least a second time to Duncan Moreland has been able to run down yeah a breakaway run off yeah obviously very speedy so looks like it's a keeper by the court when he throws it deep to number 6 and touchdown whoa don't look like a broken play it was right he was really wide open and I lost to it and so by the time that the pass got there that yet offensive man now recovered to an extent the boy the receiver was worried open but that looked like it was going to be a quarterback keeper a fake and a quarterback keeper in the quarterback didn't see much running room and the defense you know I'm a mom with a long receiver there's no milk so and the extra point try is good so with one minute and six seconds left in the third quarter the Somerville what we visiting Summerhill Thomas McKean no 111 I'm an Islanders 21 21 and the Beverly Panthers 15 so this has been a seesaw game as you predicted Bob kind of what it looked like on paper at least and it's worked out to be that way so Somerville after scoring will be kicking off to Beverly minute and six seconds left in the third quarter I really had a couple of good opportunities to move the ball here in the second second half Bob but just yep they have they have their chances here but they yeah kept a little flat on offense there [Applause] [Music] your boy down there that long fourth day so Emerson Clem this is the you know they kick off the man for for some ago it's deep deep deep down to a ball on the 20-yard line he he brought on the body's own ten eight ten returned it about 12 yards yeah shouldn't reverse his feel I should have just kept going out that was Ryan berry and backup quarterback so Beverly will take over right at their own 20-yard line and we'll see if they can't they can't respond here to that score bye-bye Summerville minute and three seconds left in the in the third quarter and it's a gift today that coming through any cement and dropped immediately except the summer go to the canary humped up after that score not that that was a big big boost for a big boost and that was a loss of a body yard second and 11 balls about the 9 yard line we got a big boost that was number big number 78 that just swatted up the middle of the line now why didn't is sort of a high school version of Vince Wilfork ok so they've got Parsons and drying their while out wide to the left and Clayton McAlpine behind the quarterback Nick berry second line and there he goes back Oh Pat Parsons almost hauled it in on a fingertip try there boy and again grow those some of them breathing down his neck and he's always always on the run always hurrying his throat now that was really not all that bad of a past I live in a remarkable catch John even as attacking the catch Mike and Pat Parsons he had to jump really high and and it is right on his fingertips so Beverly has a third and 11 they've got to do something here they've got two men out wide right it's hard to tell the numbers here it's getting a little dark it's growing and if belonging that's it and in there oh he's got blockers out in front of unblocked that guy come on let's go oh that was Clark my shot I think and he gets the first down he kept up Jeff fighting and we said let's take my hit out of bounds to me so that was bet that's it of 17-yard pickup very to my head so mush and their 16-yard gain on that play they they needed that too and that's the end of the third quarter so that puts a little more importance on this Drive it really does Bob if Beverley can put this job together you know six points will make it a tie game and the Pat will make it to 22 to 21 both teams have played very well it's been a well played game and they needed that they really needed that because some of they'll just seem to have a gust of wind in their sails after that last score yep and she's in the body language at the the yeah that's was pumped yep so the ball is the nose of the ball is like nudging the 35 yard line of Beverly they have it forced in 10 it's a fresh quarter fourth quarter just beginning this would be the first play of the fourth quarter 11 minutes to go in the game and Pat Parsons is wide here on our side to the right to the right channel area and it's a gift of the second man through who is Martian I believe and he gains maybe a yard so that's a gain of maybe yards will be second down in nine for Beverly was on the pal they gave him a lot the length of the football that was really is not thrown a long pass you know they just haven't seemed to wanna open up there so they've got Brian Baer Pat Pat Parsons and I can't see the number the third man wide out here to the to the right there he takes the snap and it's a throw oh oh and it's behind way behind there was Tim labor was it typical practice around because he he if he if that ball we've been on the money I think a Ryan borough would have scored on that because he was he was ahead of all the defenders those big linemen put up his hands and just looked at us lately okay so it's a third antenna again we're back to these crucial third downs for for Beverly they've got to convert this or they'll be giving the ball up to a until one score game now we've got Ryan Berra and Clark Marshawn on the right that Parsons going back over to the left side of the ball and Clayton MacAlpine is back there with Nick berry and barriers and it's a throw to clock Marshall oh and it's intercepted it's intercepted by number 13 he's fighting for the origin his brings it down to the 26 yard line of Beverly that now there is as you were saying Bob berry had a lot of time but he put right into coverage and there were at least three or four as Somerville defenders all around the ball nearly impossible completion you know that's unfortunately that level is gonna have to really really hold here get the ball back nine minutes and 57 seconds left in the game some of those scores here I think I think that might be good I think that might be the game so they might be a two score game and so Somerville takes over on the 27 yard line of Beverly the larger Jeffrey's the quarterback and he gives it to number 11 who is just he's taken down immediately and that was number seven Tyler Geary [Applause] and it's a second down in about 13 now so that that's what Everly needed that two or three more just like that now Beverly can hold in here and get the ball back on downs see some of those got three man wide out to the left [Applause] Ananta Jeffries the quarterback and the shotgun takes the snap and he throws it and it's incomplete it was a little bit behind behind number 19 Moishe Nazari you know I just realized that he's a lefty he's a lefty and it's so it's a third down in 13 for Somerville so Beverly can hold here some will probably try twice on you know if they miss this third down conversion well there's a timeout for Somerville they have a third and 13 on the Beverly 30-yard line nine minutes and 10 seconds left the end of the game so what do you think Bob well I think the obvious I think that there is definitely gonna make a star tip the offense has got to get some of that momentum back that they had on the first drive but we're gonna take first things first we got to stop some ago [Applause] [Music] it's gotten kind of kind of dark and and a lot chillier in the stadium when when we first got here is sunny in the wrong everybody was over Dresden pet sweaters and jackets on I'm glad I brought my sweatshirt but I don't think it's everyone any danger of raining but uncle that it is is a little bit cooler so summer comes out to the ball its third and 13 on the 30-yard line of Beverly there up 21 to 15 9 minutes and 10 seconds left in the game and two men wide left two men wide right they have number four in motion to the right he stops and the quarterback is running rolling to his and it's incomplete out of balance it's a fourth down and protein that time he reversed his field he took a step or two to his left and then he didn't fall the Beverly defense they stayed right with him and he was under a lot of pressure there I was cooked very good coverage on the defensive secondary yeah and the ball which is not very well thrown no it was one less you say he had to throw out there well either only the receiver but you know or was going to be out of the bounce in which case it was not a bad pass so some of those a fourth and 13 at the Beverly 30-yard line let's see if they can hold them here 9 minutes and 4 seconds left in the game and he throws it to number two and he's they got him yet he got maybe two yards on that that was happened again Giovanni kyary's looks like he's involved in every play here forward for some of them and his own way so Beverly is able to hold again now we need a yeah now we leave it as absurd shift right so Beverly takes over first and ten on their 26 yard line the immense to dish their pot yeah defense Bobby Adams way out wide right and it looks like a screen there to Marshawn or my shut up the sidelines and he keeps going whoa number 17 lifts him up and he passed Robson oh what a tackle that was and with all that running that was about a nine-yard gain thereby by Clarke Marshall were they placing the ball boy I think they know I wasn't down on there look like so it's a second down in second to second down to two for Beverly on their own 36 a 34 yard line they've got to get it down to her 36 and it's a gift to the second man through and that's a whoa looks like he's breaking through Clarke Marshawn looks like he's a potential town boy gets it out to midfield tell us about a 16 yard game there what was that clayton McAlpine I couldn't see us getting that's giving her so the nose of the bow is right at the 50 yard line for Beverly Nestle it looks like Beverly's got a head of steam going here they seem to have well I like those last last two plays offend them now let's get out to that ball called for the way a game so we got Brian Boyle and the Pat Parsons out to the right Nick berry Weather Center and he gives to the second man through and the Juke steps in its Clark Marsh on and he gains about three yards at the end he just kind of laid down got a couple guys just on that lunge yeah they had his feet planted there so he just kind of lunged forward so it's a second down and eight the ball on the 48 yard line of Summerville 7 minutes and 10 seconds left in the game and the clock is running the score is Somerville 21 Beverly 15 a very close fought game here in the gloaming has and it's a fake oh that number yeah what is that that guy number four he's just been a thorn in the side of Beverly number yeah and that time again we'll go back to the open field 13 yards on that one 15 yards on that one yeah he's he's been he he's missed that tackle like four or five times so far that time he got it so Beverly Wow they're pushed back to their own 38 yard line they've got to get down to the 40 yard line we got 22 yards to make third and 20 200 boy that that that's hurts that really hurts after making that fine defensive swap I don't on a third and 22 pleasure get butt how's the time they've got the right hand-side flooded they got three men up and to the right one minute oh boy what a time to get up Oh get on the ball oh my goodness oh what a time for a bad snap they got the balls down on the 17 yard line it's a fourth and about 40 yeah about two zip codes isn't it it's a it's about fourth and 20 30 40 42 44 fourth and 44 what it what oh what a turn of events what a what a bad turn events a quarterback sack and then a are they going for this no I thought I forgot a punch it looks like them and they got to Giovanni Pierre back for for Somerville is on at midfield and it's a it's a kind of a bad kick that's high and it's wobbly and it's gonna take some Beverly bounce and it'll it'll be down by Beverly player they're Dunkin Donuts for Somerville yeah boy oh boy with only five minutes left yeah Beverly seem to have a head of steam going there and then two successive one quarterback sack and a bad snap bad snap so Somerville will take over first and ten there's five minutes and five seconds Somerville can't get a first down or two here this might be the weather if this is gonna make a stuff they've got to make it quickly because there's only five minutes left in the in the game time is definitely working definitely against Beverly right now scores Summerhill 21 Beverly 15 and a very hard-fought game a very very enjoyable game actually and and it's it's complete to number six that's Lucas st.

Jean about an eight-yard gain he just slanted in and the quarterback just rifled it to him so it's second down in about three they've got to make it down to the 36 yard line of Beverly they have it on the 31 I'm sorry 34 yard line they got to make three yards second and three the coaches got to Stockton with captain Nick guns Ollis they're number 58 so the balls at the Beverly 39 yard line and summer comes out [Applause] and he gives it to number 11 again and he just got a head of steam and he gets the first down up so four minutes 43 seconds left in the game the clock has stopped for some reason maybe just moving the chains until approximately four minutes 40 seconds and counting and it's a first down for Somerville at the Beverly 28 yard line and some of the was in no hurry to get this ball in play the clock is in their favor four minutes in 29 1918 and well I think they're gonna call them for a delay a game yeah [Applause] yeah so that maybe maybe they don't care because if they they assess that penalty they still still have a first down and they can burn a lot of rubber a lot of time over for for running plays will you know burn 40 seconds per play that's you know just practically what we have left in the game so this is when you need a fumble I did any football although there was one fumble at first fumble on that punting and it's a throw to all when he completes it to joke Bonnie said he stays on his feet I can't believe this it's so hard to bring down can't be half boy that guy is just so into swarms and runs and keeps moving keeps moving us and I think that's gonna be a first down for now maybe not Brian Barrett so it's a second down in about a half a yard nut looks like they're gonna they're gonna either measure give them the first no they're giving them the first down so with three minutes 45 seconds left in the game the guest Somerville Highlanders I better like that type of lead the Beverly Panthers 21 to 15 328 the clock moving yeah the the quarterback is in no hurry to get that ball snapped he's just waiting trying to get as much time and it calls his own number and it's out at about the 10 just shy of the 10 yard line second down and about 1 not that amount by Ryan bear you should stop the clock by going out of the bounds yeah so it's second down and about 3 3 minutes and 18 seconds left in the game doesn't look too good for the home team right here no Senate bill knocking at the door they need a stop and then they gotta need something along the lines of interception fumble I think they're gonna pass the ball here ago he gives it to number 11 again and he squeezes through and he's down to about the 6 5 6 yard line it's gonna be they think that he's got a first down so it'll be first down in goal for Somerville at the 6 yard line of never lady carry that line it involves so 3 minutes and 6 seconds left in the game the clock running 5 yagi rings up first and goal from Beverly takes a timeout minutes in 6 seconds [Applause] yeah another it's another heartbreaking loss here for for Beverly I thought they were in control through the first half you know it was very close don't get me wrong but I thought that if they could come out in the second half and just put together a good Drive that this game was gonna be this they just couldn't could they did they put no points on the board in the second half they had they had a lot of opportunity the defense the defense came up with good stops here three or four times in the second half and then the offense just couldn't dumb the defense has been encouraging that has been all year elevation to get a little better at the game so the Somerville team breaks the huddle with their coach three minutes six seconds left in the game [Applause] first and goal at the Beverly six when they give it to number eleven and he's stopped before he can get to the line of scrimmage loss of about one right now so it's a balmy out its second and goal and the ball is placed right at the six yard line is that a timeout looks like Beverly's taking another timeout three minutes exactly left in the game gonna be second goal from the vibe I don't know how many timeouts Beverly has I [Applause] have never been able to figure it out each team gets five per quarter which comes to about a half a million in the course of a game yeah it's like we got we got patches of sunshine showing on the on the field as the Sun is getting ready to set here yeah we're close for the sunset that we have to see in the Sun right yeah it's five o'clock exactly game has been going on for two hours so on Somerville comes out it's exactly three minutes left in the game after that timeout by Beverly they need the Beverly Panthers 21 to 15 they've got the ball second and goal on the Beverly six yard line this is [Applause] it's a gift again he stopped before he gets to the line of scrimmage so then it'll be a third got another so that that play only took four seconds so now it's a third and goal from the 6 so Beverly's Beverly's done their defenses their job but it's still a third down and six very nice play by the by the checker on that B she just stepped across the line and pursued with right down the line grab the year running six six remaining in the game so Beverly takes a timeout 256 left in there in the game they are behind Summerville 21 to 15 you know anything can happen in these games as almost three minutes left that just Somerville is just too far down the field there they've got two more downs to to punch it in Beverly stops them they're gonna be they're gonna have to go for 97 yards yeah yeah and with only two and a half minutes probably but whether they get the ball there will be about two minutes left in the game got to go practically a hundred yards in two minutes and that means you know passes long passes so Somerville comes out and they got number two and MOA that looks like it's gonna be a sweep to the to the right side and he scores I I was afraid of that sweet absolutely waiting for out of the hole yeah and one man that debts that got through the one Beverly defender and he couldn't trip him up if he would have chipped him up they would have forced a fourth down so some of those scores and that makes the score 27 to 15 with 10 minutes and 50 seconds left in the game and number seven Emerson Clem's comes on for the p80 and it's great drills it and so that makes more 28 to 15 in favor of the Highlanders right right okay well Beverly will get their hands on the ball here one more time during this game well on that touchdown round of live and tough for the Beverly defender to make the tackle because on a sweep the running back can give up ground because you can run backwards to avoid those tackles plunge into the middle of wine he has to keep going that's a jacket wait did he just gave up a couple he hasn't and continued to sweep around the right now yeah they had that whole right side stack though they had that back everybody was and then the man in motion came to that side so he had a head of steam going he when the vault was handed off to him so Beverly will received the kickoff from Somerville two minutes and 50 seconds left in the game that's it's a two score game so I think Beverly if they can march down and score here maybe save a little bit of patient safety save a little bit of face yeah and number seven again mr.

Clem's kicks off and it's a whoa what a deep kick doll what's he doing oh yeah okay charge everything I know but he if you if you need to cut cut that ball in the yard line he would have to return over what's going into the end zone like that just let it go I don't know where did he catch it on one but if your momentum has taken you back but still to let you go back into the end zone oh really if you're running backwards like that make the catch though there they can see that the momentum will have taken them to take me into the answer Bob yeah you don't sound too convincing Wow he catches it in the field of play then he has to that's where he has to start it but anyway that well we'll discuss that another time Bob Wow call for a fair catch or something that would have been one thing [Applause] what is Oh that was awkward you know whether Barry is that was a miscommunication yeah yeah Bobby Adam escape field and he was expecting him to be down in the flat area they're so glad the right idea it was obviously throwing it to an area about to a location and that that Adam said locate a vacated Ram it moved out yeah - and so he's rolling to us and Bryan Burrough are and he kind of ran backwards then he's complete so it's a third and two on the 28-yard and they've got to get to the 30 for a first down two minutes and 36 seconds the clock is running eight yards up there down into [Applause] so Beverly is playing hurry up ball it's I believe it's maybe too little too late the Adams so Bobby Adams makes the first down at the 35 yard line Beverly they got three men out wide to the right and retreat just gonna say invite inbounds that was Ryan Braun I think they were looking for a hole yeah maybe it was a hold no then he threw well that flag was thrown very late and through that after the post the hole against against against Beverly oh yeah number 78 again it's a bit just been pressuring the Beverly quarterback ball game he's got to be had to hold yeah he just seems to break through and he's just on the quarterback it instantly just nobody seems to be able to to block him it sees just every time Barry looks up there he is that's a thankless or silent 5 to 2 minutes and no that's number eight I believe the left defensive end there because T just blows by those guys look at look at it look at him boom look and it's a tall it's gonna be intercepted number 10 that is it looks like he might make it all the way and they will check he's gonna make it all the way no he gets down to about the 2 yard line a minute and 51 well that does desperation passers well you give it to them that was ill-conceived there was too way too many defenders well actually for the friends of players right if some of those scores here it's gonna be like 35 they'll seem like it was a real blowout when there wasn't no it's a very close game and it was much like a couple of the earlier games that they've lost why they say that well they got they got crushed but they really didn't that was number 10 Carlos Fernandez that intercepted that ball landed all the way back to the Beverly where they have at the five yard line so minute and 51 51 seconds they says Somerville still got their first team in you would think that they would not want to pile on here after you know you still got all our first team guys in there I would consider a good sportsmanship if they put their second team in he's throwing look at this and he scores number two again number two Giovanni Pierre Pierre his I will go along with the notion that throwing there was probably a little thick no I mean you know there you're almost certainly going to school but just keep it on the ground but it's your job to stop it yeah so don't try that no throw passes when in a situation like that just just just run it and if every stop just so what you don't win the game anyway yeah that was a little bit of it was a little bit insulting it's like was all the room didn't wanna see a passive yeah minute 45 and it's good so this score is 35 to 15 in favor of the Somerville Highlanders soon we'll be kicking off with a minute and 45 seconds to Beverly so it's a three score game here yeah that's a 20-point lead for Somerville butcher it really isn't a 20-point game Thank You fellow 5'4 Beverly here in the last part of the last fourth quarter and the score doesn't reflect how well they played for the for the first three and a half periods you know I think I think Bob but that nick berry you know I'm not taking anything away from the bat but he just doesn't have a real strong arm I mean no if he had an arm as strong as this this kid FOMA okay I wanted to throw up from summer Lissie and his receivers just eight they can go out a certain distance and you know he can't lead them and not throw the ball 50 yards in the air now the last interception there was almost no chance for a completion there were four defenders yeah but see they just don't have that room where there was there was no alternative yeah there should have been a shot man down just standing down here I'm ready to take like a three or four yeah I pass him City good run with it but I think we really had no alternatives you only eat the ball off you know try to make the play into heavy coverage and it's a kick off again by and it's into the end zone Ryan Barrett takes a knee a minute and 45 seconds left in the game the people I think take a few knees here I don't think they can pull this game out there with with the Hail Mary passes a relation we've reached that point in the glowing as you said where I cannot see the ball once you throw it up in the air like it's too dark too to dusky they said unless he settles they use the lemon yellow ball when they throw this up whether we're looking at a backdrop of leafy trees in conforming darkness here so poetic this so Beverly takes the ball and he's been he's nuclear he's running with the ball and he breaks one tackle two tackles three tackles a nice he's almost down to the first Brian oh that was a Ryan Ryan bird took over a quarterback and looks like it's a first down yeah yeah yeah so it's a minute in 18 seconds to clock running forget the coaches put in Ryan Barrett quarterback looks of things they could use him at running back to me he was charging tag we must judge top a dozen tackles from his way to that turned our game there is a long pass to number 85 and that tiny if they're actually overthrew intended for ba-ba-ba-ba-ba domes 58 seconds to be a second down in 1000 you know I like that he's got advice on that one yeah he got distant something was off the lock but he you just let it fly and I didn't also gone 45 yeah at 50 yards in here I can't remember when Beverly had a quarterback that could throw the ball 50 yards and going a tight spiral and I stack it they just you know they lose such a dimension without having that weapon the balls [Music] well the two hottest things in high school football to get there's a good quarterback and a good kickoff it but a good place kicker when you do get on it it's a revelation so 35 seconds left it looks like this might be the last play or next to last play of the game and it's a long pair always wide open that sticks at Duncan Moreland in the 20 movies a very speedy guy he was monkeys ravenous and Mimi oh he was so wide open 24 seconds 40 maybe Beverley will save a little bit of face here by by scoring why does the ref that wait till we rep shouldn't wait till the other team long and he spikes the ball it's the other team's responsibility to get off the field not for the ref to wait for them to get off the field before he puts the ball in play right if the offense is ready to snap the ball then right well I I don't know whether there's a rule saying you have to wait until we the team gets their defense on the field and said there is no he's wide open yeah and that's again that's yeah that was more we may we may see a different Beverly quarterback next game well I'm so far I'm a crusty I like the way he's yeah the loose on rushing fast rushes thank you he's elusive when he runs the ball and he's got a nice huh like that was two passes right there that went quite over what a bit of distance and landed right on the you receive his arms and they're going for to 14 seconds left and he's running and did he make it looks like it was very very close no no no no freezer signalling no 14 seconds left Beverly's gonna have to kick off I can't the last five minutes of this game of just last like well anything outside kick maybe well yeah what do you got to lose yeah you got to lose but still you need you need to sports that drive was for real or whether that was just a fluke because some of though was playing a little loosey-goosey on defense but to have a sidekick here being a thing to do sure I remember when we had to Luke's and Perry he would he would hit a dark right at the guy you know why the crossbowmen it would bounce off in there you might remember he did what - two onside kicks actually against was it's not Somerset dome Duxbury right in the fourth quarter to two in a row but get was too little too late here they were up like 41 to nothing and cleverly scored 41 to 7 then they tried an onside kick and they got it and then they try the another on side it didn't go 10 yards no didn't go - yeah they picked it up tried to lunch for hoid but he couldn't get that far Hey we couldn't fall forward 5 yards that's its end this this let's just end this thing know what is it you can't because I think the defense can't and it says it never leads by many days signal it's got to be some of those blogs got to go 10 yards and it didn't but something about touching it's like the Beverly Beverly offense is coming onto the field listen I've got no time left on the in the game so I was just gonna work no they're taking the chains the other way cannot end on a defensive penalty we know that a penalty flag so I don't know here we go both sides they're off the defense okay so it's a recap or what is it no time on the clock very interesting how this works so what can't possibly oh they're putting time back on they're putting 13 seconds on and yeah cuz I thought that was kind of strange that the this Somerville guys were already you know we'll way across they were waiting for the ball on the other side of the 50 if the ball doesn't go that far I mean they make it maybe it's a blower then touch it and then Beverly kitchen you know to take a shot at it say don't touch it to it then the ball happened but when it goes show them automatically doesn't well that one watch it that's event one but it'd be not a bones no I think 11 there the bones are not it's like these basketball games are taken my wife sometimes asks me how much time left in that game either 30 seconds is all it'll be another 20 minutes or 30 seconds there was no 30 minutes ago so do we finally so looks like some of Somerville will take over on about their own 30 yard line 31 32 just come out basically take away here 11 seconds left in the the game yeah I think they will if they throw throw a long pass I'm gonna oh yeah that would be I know it looks like the club they still got the first team in there I can't believe that what they put the second people at least let them say they were in the game take a knee but they got the first team and they're still 35 quite killer Ayano clear picture what the rush to do I have almost I select the big grudge between these coaches or something yeah you know they've got the first team in what could they possibly be they never play each other now it takes a name it you know he could have given him is given a second team a chance to take a new game okay this one's over so from herd stadium very disheartening loss from Beverly who were in it the whole game is they were absolutely in this game it was really good game for those three three or five periods so from from hurt stadium the final score the guest Somerville Highlanders 35 and the Beverly Panthers 21 and we would like to thank our cameraman and spotter mark Lehner and our producer back at the studio Robert Doakes and for Beverly High football this is Walt kosnovski and Mike Oh hard Bob Hobbs and thank you so much for watching we'll talk to you next time you [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music]

Alma and Ben number 52 Donny O'Connor with his parents Kelly and Peter hello Beverly Hills High School football fans from Hertz stadium for the game between the Beverly Hills Beverly High School football powers Dan there's a Falcons today is Senior Day and my name is Walt Keselowski and I'm here with my cohort Bob bombs Bob I'm glad to be here with Randy and kind of visual with it's actually a very good day for football yeah it's the kind of day you bring your rain gear with you and they're short absolutely the wooden train and right now we're watching they are having the introduction it's Senior Day so they have introduced the senior cheerleaders and their parents siblings and now they're in the process of all players wings of senior football players will get underway with action here in a little bit the Beverly over 79 there's one before this year and the Danvers Falcons are just the opposite they're four and one they're just at the last week really good football and Beverly has only been outplayed I mean my only one game Marvel has at the last 30 mm I have a great win Maldon 53 to 13 and the other three games were they were in it to the fourth quadrant they were all close games and in some cases the final score really didn't tell the story of the game absolutely three or four games to show that yeah if they had stopped the stop the game about a a period sooner than they actually did the Beverly's record would be a lot better and the they just three straight games where they've kind of full of right at the end you were back late touchdowns to last third last week to some of them in the late going parent the criticism falter a little bit and I'm hoping they can get the whole for what is today because I think that they do there they can win again you know and I think another key factor for Beverly is to get on the scoreboard a lot of their games in their first position of possession and move the ball quite smartly down the field and then a penalty or or some other unforeseen think hums happens and just puts a stall on their Drive and I think it if they can get a score up over maybe two scores up early the place haven't gone their way sure they're not last week I just came back and beat Luna classical I encouraged it was a very good team but you're right they need they need a few breaks and I need to play mistake free game penalties at the wrong time with them many times so we're going to have the color guard coming out onto the field and we'll also have the thing of the national anthem and we'll be back right after that I still like [Music] [Applause] [Music] the feminine high school marching Panther band and the bridge huh middle school band in court so today the younger kids that you see there a blue uniforms that is the Briscoe middle school band which has been integrated into the early high school band give these young players a little bit of a chance to go out onto the field and mix with their upperclassmen and and get a chance to play for the blue fans so little playing time for the Jamie's how there you go absolutely nice stuff so we'll we'll have the the coin toss here in a second and we'll see what what happens so Beverly's captains are Nick Gonzalez Nick berry and Marsh an ashram [Music] so the captain's are going out to the middle of the field to meet with the referees - for the 20 point us to see who will kick off and who will receive one more these days Bob teams are as chewing after the kickoff there is chewing the the you know to receive and rather they're they're kicking off because they'd like to the idea of their defense stopping they like the fact that they get the ball first in the second half so it strategies change a little bit I would thinking of Beverly wench they will take the ball because I think it's important as you said that they both of us Drive earlier score early if possible put them in a more comfortable position so yeah I would be very surprised if they won the toss and blueford well and the weather has really really target there we see blue sky up there's some scattered clouds but that as you can see if you're watching there's shadows on my field the Sun has come out and it's a very pleasant day so Bob all rain gear we brought we can we sit in the coat bag it's when the two of us we sought the rain and there you go what the Sun out there we should try this more often a long conference out there you know usually they get it over pretty quickly so I don't know what they're now there it goes the ref probably forgot to bring the coin with them does anybody have a guess flipper Denver's will be receiving the ball to start the game and let's hope that Beverly can put paid they desperately need a win here to kind of get their season back on back on track I thought and I really think they have a chance to get a win here however Denver said they went until last week undefeated and of course suffered their first loss of the season and there will probably be playing with a lot of enthusiasm and spirit here today so a really good defensive stand right here with the huge authority okay so Jake McGinnis usually does the kickoff duties here for um for Beverly number 41 so the players are still grouped around their coach right now and the the score just incidentally for event that the the time is being kept up here in the booth and often the the time is being kept by the referees down here but that's sitting right next to me is a certified time keeper certified by the league and he is he has the time on the scoreboard so the time you see on the scoreboard is the official time in the game just one less thing that the referees have to do so forth number 21 Colby Holland and number five Matt McCarty are back for Danvers and their background about their five-yard line and Jake Louganis ready to kick off no that isn't ella gayness there's okay and that's a it's a short kickoff and he breaks through the first oh boy a shoestring tackle saved a touchdown he just broke through the first two waves of tacklers and was ready to turn on the Jets upfield but he was just had a shoestring tackle so I don't know whether there was a nice shoestring tackle too it was a touchdown Sara okay so helo but the character I was able to fuel that pump to on the run little Heather yeah it was perfect perfect for for for a return man and Justin Mulaney is the quarterback for Danvers he takes the snap he and the rolls to his right he's and he's whoa and he manages to evade the first tackler and he makes about two yards out of that he was rolling to his right looking for someone open but couldn't find anybody and one Beverly man had missed the tackle by they actually give him maybe a maybe a yard just short of the short of the 40-yard line the original man did take the referee out of bounds pretty good second eighth so it's a second down and about eight let's call it four before Danvers he gives it to the first man through the full-back and he finds some Running Room and he definitely misses one tackle this is another Clayton MacAlpine chasing the ball carrier and it's a long long game for number 21 Colby Holland all the way down to the 30-yard line they he came up the middle and kind of off the left side of the line and veered to the left and just found a lot of open Running Room out there and once he got past the linemen he was it was a footrace between and on both the kickoff and on that run the runners were able to get past the line very quickly yeah it was Clayton MacAlpine finally finally brought him down so Mulaney has he's talking to his outside receiver there Isaac I know I'm sorry Matt McCarthy Matt McCarthy who was doing the kickoff duties and him McCarthy's back in motion to the left and it's a fake run and he's looking for number five and it's a touchdown no he dropped the ball OOP he he was covered pretty well by two Beverly moving it passes and Beverly defenders the tremors all around him but he was open and he didn't have the ball he was one long edge about by Ryan Barrett so it'll be a second out in ten on the on the Beverly 30-yard line it was a beautifully thrown pass beautiful lead and it hit him right in the breadbasket there and unfortunately he goes him in the worst possible place right in my hands so Mulaney under center and he's got number five again McCarty out and at that time he gives to the fullback and almost no gain he was hit immediately the lineman came in very quickly that time for Java and that's about a yard franciotti carry a yard gain so it's third down and nine for the Danvers Falcons in possession of the game nine minutes and 34 seconds left in the first one so it's third and nine and again they have number five Matt McCarthy out wide to the right and Mullaney under center and again it's a pass and he's he's brushed oh when it's number 21 again with that nice long run Colby Holland so he didn't make the first down it'll be a feeling for now he was rushed by two bibbling defenders were right in on him but I thought maybe that was designed to be kind of receivers split out wide to the right here jumped before the hole yeah well the referees didn't see that farm-sauce alright so it's a fourth time out of four for four Danvers on the 25-yard line and they have to get down to the 20 and he gets away from Santa and goes back into the shotgun position and it looks like there's a time on so um sorry about damn Birds Danvers takes a timeout the balls actually already 24:24 and they have to get down to the 20-yard line so this will be the first test of Beverly's defense a bomb I'm just going to say that this is this is where the defensive stand would look big and it's like five yards together first down a long five before you they have to get to the 20 exactly the 20 so and Justin Mulaney brings his team out and he's got to wide receiver he's got Colby and McCarty out on the right and he gives it to the Oh a nice short their shark didn't make it rainy with BP so Beverly will take over on downs yeah that was a capelet as well by the quarterback and he got about two or three yards but he did not to get down to the 20 so on back up the middle again and so on to you that I should go this is my work pig but that was such a though perfectly yeah so Beverly will take over and Nick Mary number 10 at quarterback and let's see if Amir else Rafi who was injured in the last game I don't think he played the second half last week he was a little gimpy he little hitch in his giddyup there they got got Clark Marshawn wide to the left and else Ralphy retina wide to the right and one man behind and he's got a man in motion stops and it's a give to the full-back he's looking for Running Room and he's still looking for Running Room and I think that might be Malala yeah so McAlpine that was a good second effort to get about five yards he was flicking what's the last year where she's playing good football this Clayton McHale find I mean so far he and that possums have really come on as the season has progressed yeah yeah it looked like he was going to be dropped behind the line of scrimmage but Tim so Beverly comes out about a second and four let's call it we got a man in motion McAlpine no that's a marsh on Amash on is stop that time rush and stopped and cut back across and of a counter play and he was stopped by an ankle tackle so it's a third down and three for Beverly the ball is at their 29 yard line a lot about how the offense is going to go so he's really got a knife it's a quick and it's a hit all it looks like he he tripped he stumbled he stumbled as he took them all and just wasn't able to get any traction they gave it to the third man through they had that I formation Bob and he the third man through so it'll be a fourth and fourth and four and so Beverly will have to kick I couldn't tell where he slipped just stumbled over a blade of grass I don't know yeah yeah it looked to me like he was he was gonna and Nick berry the quarterback is going to punt and they've got Matt McCarthy number five deep he's down on about his own 34 yard line it's a long count by looks like they got a block on and he gets a nice and over end and and he's letting it go and it's rolling down to about the 23 yard line so that's a good a good punt you have to check out with the roll and everything they're very effective yeah so with the exchange of fourth downs Beverly comes out better so with six minutes 46 seconds left in the first quarter the Danvers Falcons will take over for their second possession of the game they were stopped by Beverly on fourth and four quarterback try to keep her and he was stopped with the other two short and so they've got yeah they've both falls in well every round third down he gifts to his back and he's number five and looks like he's some he's got it first down back that's over matter of our fingers oh [Music] yeah that just seemed too easy about this 11 yards boom right up the gut yeah and you kept his legs movement even when he was moving sideways you have a crab walk he was gaining other than five now number 11 is Matthew Reedy wide to the to the right and they've got number 8 Zack Dillon and they give to the full-back and he gains some maybe a couple yards that was number 10 Russell Canova Russell Canova who is just committed the game he's a sophomore Mackel by and so it's a second down and eight let's call it even though the game for that that was a good hit by so they saw that coming pretty much all the way Danvers has got men wide right wide left and it's a gift to the fullback again any stop Wow oh no game er the area and that was McCarthy again and he was stopped for almost no mail they give him a yard on how so it's literally down yeah they've got to get down to the 45 up to their 45 yard line for a first down so let's see if Everly can can hold them on this one they've got Matthew Reed again wide to the right and I can't see the number of them left out and he's back to pass and it looks like it's to a place it's intercepted by Beverly oh great interception I think that was the captain I think that was some Nick Gonzalez intercepted kept off he was there all the way so the man was was open there for a second and by the time the ball got to him the Beverly defender was able to come in and just wrestle that ball away from the offense offensive man that's a great great turnaround for Beverly so never we'll take the first and 10 on the 36 yard line of the Danvers Falcons they've got Clarke marsh on wide to the left here on the short side of the field and it's a gift of the second man army louse Raffy and he's trying to find some Running Room and he gets about four or five yards I think they're gonna give him five yards on that and there was every reason well that's we know game and he just kept going and I'm sorry they PA announcer says they have spotters of course and we don't that they they give that interception credit to that interception to Bobby Adams the great you know that the end that Beverly's so yeah he just slipped inside and he was there most all the way the quarterback I think just saw the outside coverage Pat Parsons and Duncan Moreland over a laugh at him Pat Parsons has been doing a pretty good job here in and it's a fake to them to the and he's and it's a long pass and it's high yes by number seven Tyler Gary down about the 5-yard line for five yards they're gonna put the ball right on about the five that was beautifully done and they passed yeah Nick berry rolled out to his right and he had a lot a lot of time though he was on the full once really have this rule bullet right and you saw him you saw motion to his to his receiver and what's happening here what happened what is he out of bounds he must have been out of bounds yeah well it's hard for us to see here this is this is an angle that we can't lose people doesn't work so it's third down and the six for Beverly and it's a gift to the second man oh when he stopped that's Clark Marsh on and he stopped for a loss that's gonna be able to more than about a now fourth and nine for Beverly boy that's a heartbreaker there that was a very nice play a very nice catch by Tyler Geary and unfortunately I still don't know what the call was yeah he was at about he caught it out of bounds before and then was the third player back out there touch the ball so three minutes and 20 seconds in the first quarter and Beverly's gonna go for it fourth and eight and they are going for it and it's a quick pass Oh would he drop it bounces like you say Bob didn't right in the hands that was Mary Clark Marsh and that's not very typical of Clark Marsh on he's usually very short-handed yeah but he was turning kind of walk with it you know kind of turning back yes right he was true he was turning back towards the first aback field instead of turning down field yeah yeah if you'd have been led the other way it'd have been a little bit different yeah then he could have just caught it in stride this way yeah you kind of have to all right so um the Danvers Falcons take over on downs on their own 34 yard line they got Mullaney at quarterback and he gives to the back number 21 McCarthy I believe that's usually Colby Holland Colby Holland McCarthy is number five they got Colby Holland and Matt McCarthy 5 and 21 in the in the backfield also number 11 Matthew reading will be all of you or Edie which is flesh trying to read that both ways and where the Americans would away the penalty up you not to you win and it's a gift to number 21 Colby Hall and Mary again and he gets maybe a yard maybe two so they're up to about the palace forty $30 at the 41 yard line they have to get through to about 33 44 for a first down so it's third down and three for Danvers Justin Mulaney comes back into the huddle after consulting with his coach and they come out very tight this time and come out that they are in the I formation behind the quarterback and it's a gift to the third man through and he's looking for Running Room and oh my goodness he found it he's gone number five Matt McCarthy oh they had it all stacked up and looking for and he just broke through and there was nobody in the backfield nobody in the backfield now when you stack the boxes he had nothing but sixty yards of grass in front of him unfortunately for Beverly that was a costly mistake they stacked that inside they were looking for that quick hitting play which it was it was they just figures and plug that hole and he what you get catch that everybody is stacked the blocks and everybody's within three or four yards or the line of scrimmage never been a go for two and they get it the number 21 Colby Holland gets a direct snap and the Danvers Falcons lead with the Beverly making Panthers eight to nothing with a minute and 33 seconds left in the first quarter that that was a heartbreaker there for Beverly they were they were holding them quite quite well forcing third downs and really not letting them move the ball very well downfield and it just broke through and they're three steps and he was gone the penalty for not having one one defensive player stayed back is tough in a case like that because the the running guy only has to go three or four years and he's proved nothing as you said between him and the goal line except green grass so it looks like Beverly is sending back a usually Clark Martian and Pat Parsons Clark my Shannon pet Parsons usually Almaraz Rafi his back there with Clark but he has been injured but he has been playing so maybe they're just trying to right there get some speed in here as opposed to a pole butcher and there's the kickoff and it's um picked up by Marsha and Marsha breaks through look at him go he's he's running dice it's the kicker and he's looks like he's gonna go no he went out of bounds that personnel line for the last thing the kicker it was the kicker was the last desperation just bring it down that sideline and and that was about a picked it up on about the eighth and he just scooped it up off the ground so yeah there's and every justification to just fall on it and he just took the chance to picked it up and yeah he was off to the races he was right on the side oh so it's any kind of a push them up two yard was about a 42 yard click off a turn and Marshak comes off the field Oh illegal substitution come on guys oh boy what a time to get it you know this is this is typical this is what happens if ever we they get a good field position first in ten and then they get a penalty like illegal substitution Clark Marshawn came off the field I got a feel like the feel of it so it's a first and 15 from the 48 yard line of Danvers you know this was a great opportunity for Beverly to get right back into this game by doing a quick score here and now they're faced with a first and 15 that probably wasn't as bad there someone really in the Democrats arsons it's oh lucky that wasn't intercepted there number five that was Matt McCarthy he's kind of a weirdo man nice diamond McCarthy reflection so Beverly has a second 15 from the 48 yard line of of Danvers it it's really important here for Beverly to come back quickly Bob them in and get a score here they might call it Ronnie for being offsides the ref is looking very no he doesn't oh and it's a gift to the and he's stacked up for about a free our loss so it's a third in about 17 all the third and 17 let's call it oh boy oh boy so Duncan Moreland has been coming in a little bit more often for for Beverly Emira he looks like he's coming off rather gingerly yeah Ameer of course is a workhorse for Beverly and so and they have they have Duncan Moreland wide to the left and Pat Parsons in the slot and Nick berries in the shotgun waiting for the snap he gets the snap and there he is and it's a long pass to number oh boy that was number 11 Matthew Reedy was closer closer to more than any Beverly players so it looks like Beverly will have squander this opportunity on this this good field position and an excellent run back by Clark Marsh on 22 a little over 22 seconds left in the first quarter and again Bob we goes at this onion it's only a five-yard penalty but it's a drive stopper yeah so Nick bear usually is like is the punter and he takes the snap whoa it's it's high high home boy that ball is only going to go about 10 yards and it's out of bounds no it's it's in the field of play but it tell him a 30 38 37 yard line see that every part very bad pun dents yep that was so it was under tremendous pressure you know if he was going to kick if he had to get away quickly and that was an opportunity yeah he just got too much under it did they they had a chance to pin Danvers way way back with that with that punt even a 30 or 40 yard punt would have but that yeah - Jenna's pass rushers read read this face right here the more he had to get it off quick so Mulaney comes out and he gets to his running back oh my god there he goes Matt McCarthy another long touchdown he was hit by one Beverly player to Beverly players three Beverly players couldn't bring them down then he just popped loose and ran for 74 yards no he did they're not thing I've done they couldn't even just pull them up so that the the rest of the defense could help with the cover this is a problem they have very early on Bob just not being able to stick those tackles I mean they seem to have the guy wrapped up and he just kept just kept moving his legs and yep it's a 64 yard I'd been what the rotten couple are laughs Beverly just kept one player back like a like a free safety behind the line of scrimmage just to prevent that kind of thing from heaven or that that's just a heartbreaker for Beverly yet - two plays just that that's all the whole game is to long runs and that Beverly gave up and now the refs are having a hard time what their looks like they're penalizing Beverly or something motion or something maybe another legal substitution I'm not sure but this yeah and they're gonna aren't they're gonna run for it I don't think they're given they're not given a sign I guess they didn't make it no so Beverly stopped them so so at the end of the first quarter the score is the Danvers Falcons 14 in the Beverly Panthers 0 and the the entire game was too long runs by Matt McCarthy where the Beverly he just popped through the Beverly defense and almost identical and both those are exactly the entrances father if you can just get it quick here that through the line of scrimmage there's nobody behind the line of scrimmage and the line that is a visit trying to plug holes but they it's just nobody back to prevented long run through or at least slow down the runner sort of somebody could catch up so Beverly will be receiving the up at Parsons back and I don't see Clarke Marshawn out there yet yeah he's right oh there he is Clarke Martian and had Parsons back about they'll be back on about their 5-yard line and it's an identify the kicker here for number eight who is Zack Dillon he's a captain a co-captain for for Danvers along with Justin Mulaney for the quarterback so he's a big guy tight end linebacker senior big guy boy wasn't he on Gunsmoke and it's a short kickoff is taken by one of the shorter men what's going on what happened with the ignition what happened to a fair catch oh oh I didn't see the fair catch sign there there was a case there that the two Beverly men though they could have they could have dropped that ball but what the Beverly the patootie element collided so Beverly will take over first and ten at the beginning 11 minutes exactly the beginning of the second quarter Jake Doyle is going in for for Pat Parsons and Nick berry will bring them out they have first and ten on their 25-yard line let's say they need a good drive here they need to get down field let's need a confidence builder you know I will say that well those two long runs with backbreakers they were just back breakers [Applause] and Clark marshana's wide right okay they might have drawn them offsides and oh boy there's no game they're gonna right up the middle and the Beverly the the Danvers defenders were in that hole before the Hobby hairy and they give them they give them a yard on that so it's second down and nine for Beverly else Rafi is back in the game [Applause] Pat Parsons and Clark Martian are wide to the right and and it's a it's gonna be a hold it's going to be hold against Beverly unfortunately he landed on the Beverly it was a it was a block below the knees no I don't know about that I was watching that it just looked like they they got tangled up and fell over each other right so Beverly will take another penalty here this is this might be a 15-yarder I think or do they have any 15-yard families in high school certainly a 10 yarder what are they gonna bet they're gonna be back deep deep so it's back to the 15 yard line they've got to get into their 35 so it's what a second down in 24 for Beverly I still haven't seen the call so I'm assuming there was a wolf no no it was a block below the knees but I I bet just this weird call because they they he blogs him and they both fell over each other for from what I could see but anyway I'm not down there on the field and Beverley takes a timeout with ten minutes and one second left in the first half and the Danvers Falcons are ahead of the Beverly Panthers 14 to nothing what do you think so far Bob well I think well the truth Gambas has moved the ball pretty well and they've had those two long runs which are absolutely backbreakers Beverly has just hasn't been able to plug the holes that they've been running through I think that the defensive winery has got to be more assertive or that perhaps that the defensive backfield loops it shouldn't be that shouldn't be trying to rush the line of scrimmage so much because once the runner gets passed along his family boy there's just nobody back that last run I mean there were at least three Beverly tacklers that seemed to have him wrapped up and they just seemed he just kept moving and wiggling and and they fell off of him and well they're back on the it were an awkward position but I was looking for was that they would just kind of slow him down hold him hold him up a little bit so that the rest of the defense could get to get back into the play but they they couldn't the runner just kept going turning his legs as you said so second and 22 for Beverly balls on their own 16 yard line and there you know he just couldn't find anybody open he makes some I guess he gained he gained up to about the 17 yard line so now he's a very very short gain on that he had nobody over he was he was looking and looking he had a lot of time to throw but the Danvers hasn't coverage was was excellent there they couldn't find well there's only one receiver rotator so the whole backfield was all around him and he was right he shouldn't read it but kept the ball which is fine but he could have also just throwing other bombs he was he was way out of the pocket by the time to get rid of it so it's a it's a second and I'm sorry third and 18 for Beverly they got else wrothian Parsons flanked to the right Clark Marchand to the left berry in the shotgun and he's got Clayton MacAlpine back there with him takes the snap there's Parsons open and he throws it in the oh is it intercepted or not no he's they say he dropped the ball but that was closely he under threw him he was he was open Clark Marchand was was open but he under threw him and that gave the defender a chance to catch the ball but he just couldn't get his arms around it so Beverly will have to punt fourth down in 18 they've got the ball on their own 17 yard line so looks like Danvers will come up with a very good field position they have number five Patton Matt McCarthy was just a terror here in the game he's waiting at the 45 46 yard line of Beverly so they'll get it on the Beverly side of the field when they take over here on absent in this variable punt who's you only run them he's only receiving and they're if he gets it just and McCarthy any knees tackle the immediate by Beverly players but McCarthy they got a very short field again Bob 44 yard line of Beverly Bamba are these not for the Panthers so Danvers will take over first and ten on the Beverly 44 yard line there to 9 minutes and 33 seconds left in the first half yep they ran the red good position again is damage can't fault the the coverage on okay so Mulaney is under center it's got number six in there now who's and it's a gift to the second man that's McCarthy again you know he almost did the same he's just that he's a deceptive priority no pie he's he's in a big guy he's he's kind of a small guy you know he's kind of probably the smallest player out there for Danvers you can run sideways faster than I can run forward he just keeps shifting to his left or right there the tackles just keep missing well Bob thank you for that very descriptors so it's second down and five for a Danvers they have the ball on the 39 yard line of Beverly and they give again to McCarthy and he's looking for and that time no there's a penalty by commas oh there's a magnitude chip it looks like offsetting penalties here I don't know why what the penalties were initial hunch ilysm is a face master as I though I don't know what this coil is yeah I saw the ref motion two different penalties I didn't see he did it very quickly but he said it was a this should be offsetting penalties unless they enforce the they're going to enforce the facemask looks like no one of the one of the Danvers players is pleading with the referees and he's making his case but it looks like the referees are gonna mark it off against Danvers so one two three and four five five-yard penalty so it'll be a second down and ten for Danvers a number six was come in for Danvers as Isaac downs who you've seen in motion in the backfield the referees are still debating this call yeah and they're not quite sure what what happened number number eight is trying to give them some some advice there you see he's explaining the rules to the referee that's their kicker number eight physic he's a co-captain had Zack Dylan rust meet geometry no he's gonna give him another no no they waited there is more NC is pretty upset now on the Beverley side of the hill the referee comes over now to explain it to coach Morin see after Zack Dillon the captain of Danvers at the referee straight and told him exactly what and won his argument he was out now the referees Chyna he was very convincing there because he was waving his arms making a strong point whatever the point was no and and thought the referee is still discussing it with the coach so he's not letting the the Falcons come out and snap the ball so this is just an awful lot of confusion you know that make him feel this fight we have coach Moore it's a very demonstrative from what he thought he saw and these trees walking away from the referee coach Martin sees Rob shaking his head and he's just not happy with that turn of events Saunders lost his argument so it's a third and five for for the Danvers Falcons and their quarterback Mulaney brings them up they've got number 11 Matthew Reedy wide out to the left and they've got a new guy in the backfield number 33 looks like John strangie strange e and Mulaney is old oh and he's sacked for about eight yard nine yard loss so so it'll be a fourth down and that looks like Blaney and Danvers will be so Beverly difficult to hold them and this is what they need they can if they can come back and put at least one score on the board here before half-time they'll be getting the second half kickoff so that gives a lot by the people you know know that you smash rush was in there pretty quickly and the coverage was good so that whether I can actually just went down I was on before you so the co-captain zag Dillon his punting got all the time in the world and he and it's is Clark Marshawn and oh one man one man she spanked yeah that would have missed he had a 10 or 15 open yards in front of them at least um yeah it was just okay so Beverly will take over on their own I think 25 yard line and it's about the 26 the nose of the ball is right around the 26 yard so Beverly will take over again let's let's see if they can't get some movement and get get a couple of first downs and move down the field that the provement of the running game here they just want to see a sustained drug so they got Marchand and Parsons wide to the right and they got Clayton McAlpine the back of equipment gets a gift to McAlpine and he's fighting and he gains about seven yards right up the middle sorry that wasn't McAlpine that was a mere else Raffi excuse me huh I thought that was number 12 but it was number number two so Beverly has a second down into seven minutes 20 seconds left in the first half the clock is running that is the official time on the scoreboard so now they've got one man wide to the left they got him I think they know they they yeah cuz very kind of hitched back a little bit I think and drew him offsides yeah he did unfortunately he gave that little I saw the defensive line jumping right I knew he didn't get back in time no so instead of a second and two now they're gonna have a second and seven no now this is still another penalty if they if they don't get good yardage on this they'll be faced with another third and long so Beverly the ball is back on the 29 yard line so it's second and seven for Beverly they've got a tight formation and it's a give to the second man and these just gains about 2 or 3 yards there so we have third and Merry third in about three third and four third and three where it was a mark on because they have about yeah you know the third in a long three let's say so six minutes and 16 seconds left in the first half of the first half and Pat Parsons comes off the field and I wish Beverly would sometimes go back date they've used that hurry up offense this is kind of stuff just you know they need to put a score on the bow and they're sitting in that huddle and you know well look what they take up 30 seconds in the huddle every time every play I don't know that I'm calling that having the quarterback saw this run he plays in the previous game he's going most all the place and it's a give to the full-back and he makes the first down that's not as Clayton MacAlpine made the first down so 5 minutes and 38 seconds they they got to get moving the last three games his name gets called a lot and he's you always seem to get the job done and else Raffy comes out of the game Justin Cattell is out as well boy oh boy oh boy they did so much time in that huddle so they got Duncan Moreland wide to the right as well as so it's a give and now there's a good thought so maybe a couple yard gain up in the middle and that will so it's under it's four minutes 49 seconds left they they've used up 50 seconds on two running plays four minutes and 35 seconds left in it and they're just just trotting out there yeah I would be more enthused about the ortho and I agree with the fact that they should be hauling the ball but they're not gaming that much on her run so much time 30 seconds they're be to open up a little bit give it to the second man through and it's it's okay Rafi and he gets a first down down to about the 45 yard line and I cannot abound so it's four minutes and 12 seconds left in the half and the ball is at the 47 yard line of Danvers that was a good run by out for yeah you get to the outside very quickly before the defense had a chance to strike out man nice nice yeah exactly Bob yep yeah so [Applause] and it gives to the and its Clinton MacAlpine it gets about five yards now buying one minutes in four seconds yes so it's second down in about six three minutes and 54 seconds come on move they just he just laurels trots back to that huddle three minutes and forty four I can't get over this they get it I don't know why the coaches for the ball like two or three plays yeah exactly and then it's another run up the middle and looks like it will be a third down in about one three minutes and 26 25 seconds now the clock is running and then they're just dawdling back three minutes and 15 seconds and Nick berry comes out into the huddle gonna bring up it's a third down and two it's a third down in the long two and number 72 for Beverly's in at center Billy Woolley and they've got Pat Parsons wide to the right and again it's a Clayton MacAlpine and he's looking to get our lease and he's still going he's down even my yard line thankfully that was a nice run by Clayton McAlpine to sweep so the left side and they both work well yeah you got it by that your big Clayton MacAlpine fair I am really I'm impressed with him I you know I know that we started maybe that three games back there all of a sudden we were hearing his name a lot we were calling his name and just also no not another penalty yeah these are killers oh no this is a killer this must be of holes it's got to be a hole doesn't I saw hold against Beverly so it'll be a third in 13 third and 12 oh boy how many times is this gonna happen every time they get a big blue they get a big run they get a touchdown something big happens and then they get called for a penalty I think that's a different stare of yep I don't I didn't see the hole because it was tough angle far no it was a lot of players bunched up on the other side of the field but so it's third and three for Beverly at the 49 yard line of AB Danvers third and 13 no I'm sorry third and 13 and it's another run up the middle and he gets it down to the 45 yard line so it's a fourth down I don't understand the strategy here what he's they're not nor do I uh two minutes and 24 seconds the clock is running and Beverly's got a fourth down and eight and Sanders will just drop a couple of guys back and get the play in front of them right it so Pat Parsons comes off to minute 159 158 the clock is running Beverly's going for it and I've got Duncan Moreland and it is to Duncan Moreland and it's broken up it's broken up by number six eyes AG downs he tried to thread the needle with me he did yeah and the hole of the needle closed up very quickly yeah yeah so um here's another another example of a penalty just warding Beverley they they had a nice they were down to the 20-yard line that long run by by Moreland and I mean McAlpine and now they minute 44 Danvers no they could school could score here yeah they've shot all the time if you use a block management they've got Matt McCarthy on the left hand side here wide and it's a pass to the flat and and he still is on his feet boy oh boy that was second and third effort for the the Danvers player there they just couldn't bring him down so it's a second down and about for for for Danvers they come right out and I see why can't Beverly do this when they come to straight out okay he's got all the time in the he throws it and it's incomplete now I can't barely do that maybe I don't have the answer for each they were I think they should be doing that so it's a third and four for Danvers now [Music] you [Music] you and this is so far it's been all Danvers I have a have the inclusion to say this is no place to throw the long past but that's really probably is okay a place to throw a long press again there's only 47 seconds left and I'm just going up there and hopefully outline Marsha and Pat Parsons wide to the right and they've got two lane wide to the left and now what's happening would you play yeah I think it's a time out I'm out yeah cuz they see they see five receivers out there for Beverly they kind of wanted to regroup a little bit they don't want to give up you know a long score here Bob it makes it a 101 score game and they're right back in the game they're right right back in the game right so alertly to say that wasn't going to be a good idea well when I stack the side of the field and they've got they might as well be at Newfoundland I can't even see the same I feel asleep and so he's rolling [Music] and the ball McGary throws its complete to help high-alpine and it's pretty close to the first down I think they're going to give it to them yeah what is he placing it yeah he's going to give it to them yeah clearly they take most shine off the popular that was well I took about eight seconds off the clock and Beverly call the timeout so the ball is and now I can't even see where the ball oh there it is it's on the 26 yard line 24 yard line yeah so its first in ten for Beverly the balls on their own 24 yard line they're only 39.6 the seconds left in the first half so if they've got Duncan Moreland wide to the right along with Clarke Marshawn they've got McAlpine and Parsons South to the right and ik berry in the shotgun and Clarke Marshawn now he's rolling to his left he throws the ball and it's picked up by Duncan Marlin and that's a first down is about an 11 yard gain there's new touch the ground just as we thought it yeah yes he he caught the ball and then his knee head so Beverly takes another timeout 30.6 seconds left they got they have the ball on their own 35-yard line they still have 65 yards to go for what's your name okay so both both teams are grouped around their coaches getting some instructions here 30 seconds trying to come up with a 30-second strategy here to go 65 yards and have a stop that from happening so well if you throw it you throw it and they catch it and get it right out of bounds and tell them don't you know resist the opportunity or resist the urge to cutback in the field because you're not gonna make it and then we're gonna run out of time it's tough for a player to do that actually because he wants to score he wants to show it's gonna be tough for him to get open on the first place because just want to be all over now Dan the Denver because the offensive backs are very good they cover the app there's nothing and so they've got house Rafi Parsons and Marc Martian wide to the right now there's another whistle now what's going on damage I can't tell what's going on but there's another now it looks like Danvers called the otherwise there was a damage on it though they lined up with a three-man front and they had eight men in the defensive backfield and so they're clearly expecting this to be a passive look with justifiably so I would say it's going to be tough to get regular completion there because the the Denver's Falcons have 58 guys back to the deep including a couple guys playing deep to prevent anything you know trying to keep the play completely in front of them yeah they're all miss sending in three men rushing and that's just three memos for themself Beverly just doesn't have one of those real speedy you know Bruce layers that can outrun you know go on a fly route to get it out to him although you know Barry I mean he's a good player and all but I think we remarked on this in the last game Bob I mean he doesn't have a gigantic army doesn't have a rifle arm he can throw it up to 30 40 yards but but beyond that I think that's kind of out of his range I agree this is a great spot to just step back and laugh one if he as far as you throw it you hope he can get 50 60 ads on it my receiver can run under it the Sun has come on and actually it's turned out to be quite a nice day here at the hurt Stadium move it in so they got out Rafi that Parsons and Clark Marsha Marsha and in motion to this to the left and I don't know how he got extricated from all those players who jackals should look like there was short sadness oh yeah yeah he did he broke two temples of course I should have told you that you don't have to throw the ball 54 yes 54 yeah I think I think he got your vibrations Bob I think I think he knew what you meant by that so my Shawn is shifty in the backfield ah they got Jake Jacob Lee hey this 2.0 but he did not kick off and it's good is it oh look to me like it went through the uprights victim so with sixteen point five seconds left in the first half the visiting Danvers Falcons lead the Beverly Panthers 14 to 6 oh yeah I would think that Beverly will probably do an onside kick or something like that or just a squibber and don't give the backs the deepmax a chance to get their hands on the ball I think that's a good call it would surprise me if they fell to lose either sorry and then on side scribble would be a great call right here well I I have to admit I was a little bit pessimistic on that last Drive but the Panthers came through no that was a Martian was I thought sure Trey once you've made the reception we had the defensive backs all over my truck yeah we might get all applause I was already planning the next call and we relieved me of that responsibility so they got that Matt McCarthy omelet the 20-yard line he's moving back and Jake like like you know that's not Jake Louganis that looks like Duncan Marlin actually I can't see that's the second half of his number and it's and Donnie gets a kind of ask win out and it's to Matt McCarthy the ones long ago card look at this look at this that's good Sean Walker oh it's 8.6 second CD takes it over midfield now he takes a right to midfield and he almost broke that we're gonna but this time that the public defense was able to slow him down which is everything my goodness no it was a kind of a heart-stopper there we have a stop it's not really gonna be one one more play the last play the first half that ball is we hadn't zip in the ball is ready at midfield nothing happened Beverly sends and then deep so Matt McCarthy is is wide to the left then Mulaney drops back throws and it's hot and he still involves I think that speak that's the half yep no that's the half unless you weren't out of the bombs you know that's the half so with at the end of the first has their flag now what's going on here that the time has expired you know there's a player down over there maybe that's the is completely mad you read the female other pounds that there was still a couple of seconds worse [Applause] now what is what is going on that guests have given them another down and giving him a first down but the time is expired yeah the clock kept running it even even after the completion and if he had been out of the bounds the clock probably should have stopped with two or three seconds ago he was found out with Isis so this is an easy turn of events right a crazy turn of events with with you know I got to cover the timekeeper here because there was no indication from the referee or the sideline judge that they had been another vantage point yeah that's right in fact I looked to me like he was in bounds so I I don't know what's going on so this is the co-captain Zach Dillon is going to try a this is going to be where they add 30 20 26 36 yard field goal it's up and it's all my goodness it's got the distance but it's wide to the left he had the distance but didn't have the so at the end of the first half the the guest Danvers Falcons lead the Beverly Panthers 14 to 6 and Bob what do you think of that first half well I think that Denver's dominated until right if they vote for the last minute or two of play when Dan was after Tanner made a nice 54 yeah I touched on the gas and run get they actually got them back in the game it despite the fact that this school could be much worse than their this pebbly is actually in this game yeah there are only eight points down to only a touchdown down right and they will be receiving the second half kickoff so from herd stadium we'll we'll see you after the halftime activities and we'll be back for the second half kickoff in just a little bit okay you are watching Bev cam here anyone can ticket gonna draw the winning 50/50 number top this week is going to be three hundred and sixty one dollars so grab your tickets the winning number is four six one five zero five eight again four six one five zero five eight well Bob and I were checking our tickets for the 50-50 raffle and as usual now I'm a little closer this week than they use any most words I didn't even have to like color ticket and the gentleman who just won the 50-50 raffle was a friend of some of the folks here in the press box and can you believe it he won the 50-50 raffle two weeks in a row too far away ask you can borrow ten bucks okay so well they've actually switched fields on us here switch sides of the field the Beverly Panthers were now they're beat they're gonna be looking into the Sun to start off the third quarter I'd like to see them come out with a little enthusiasm here I'd like to see them really taking the game to Danvers in this half if they do I think they can win it yeah if they score here they don't they score here I think it's it's a brand new ball game obviously it'll be like this you know come out hitting and moving and doing a little faster those are the things that I think can swing the tiger so Pat Parsons is back with clean with puck Martian and Zack Dillon number 8 big Zack Dillon co-captain of the Danvers Falcons is kicking off and Beverly's waiting to kick off and it's a short short kick taken by one of the up men and he takes it out to about the 36 37 yard line he took that ball in about the 25 so with that short kick that gives Beverly fairly decent field position here over there 35 now let's see them come out I agree I'd like to see him come out with a lot of enthusiasm here you know get some quick first downs and score and make this a whole new ball yeah get to get some data John the first couple of plays that get back into the huddle and out of the huddle quickly okay take your ticket right so Beverly is first and ten on the on the 37 Beverly Center is Billy Woolley and they've got two men out wide to the left and one anion out wide to the right and they got a slot receiver and he gives it to the back looks like else Ralphie while he fumbles the ball and look who's home and it's picked up by Danvers I was Clayton McAlpine with the ball and he fumbled it on the first play of the second half and Danvers takes over at the Beverly 45 yard line that was a rocky stat oh boy oh boy oh boy talk about bad timing a bad time to have a fumble so it's a ton of events ship Everly by oh boy Bob got that that's so Danvers it takes off on the 45 yard line of Beverly they've got number 11 Matthew Reedy and wide to the right and they got an eye formation behind the quarterback he gives it to the second man through and he's kind of smothered there by a whole host of Beverly tacklers after about a 2 or 3 yards a Mary I was stop them but he was ball talking to well that was a good yeah I noticed that I noticed that too you know swimming at the ball yeah so that was about a 2 yard game maybe two and a half yard game so the second let's call it a second and 80 and they have the ball at the 43 yard line of Beverly again they have Matthew Reedy out on the right and it's a quarterback keeper and he gains about two yards three yards milady I'm gay people and that was Justin Mulaney their quarterback so it's a third in about five the ball is right at the 40-yard line of Beverly so let's see it Beverly can hold him here and what do you think if they if they if it's a fourth one do you think they'll go for it that's a tough call if I was a coach I mean I think I might try to pin belly a little further back but maybe I go for it all right so they got the i-formation going here and Mullaney under center and he hits it's okay and he's down a fumble and he fumbled the ball they might even down depending upon whether they called him down but that was a [Applause] there's about an 18-yard lock 20 yard lost there so they had the ball 240 so it's a 10 yard loss oh man so it's a 4th down and 10 25 26 so they'll force a punt I don't think Danvers will go for it so they've got different three what they have with Clark is way back woah look at that and there nobody rushing oh my goodness turbo kirby shirt there Oh Beverly had nobody rushing nobody rushing moving up with great field position here and there about where they were before yep but that's where they lost the ball in the 45 and that they're getting it back on about the 45 40 yard back to the 41 yeah no so in that exchange they they lost four yards on that exchange as you said there was absolutely no pressure on the make that Beverly posts is stopped they didn't even pursue they just stopped no there was an ad run back mode they were caught they weren't going for the block that we try to run it back and they were all dropping back to block so Pat Parsons and Clark Martian or wide to the to the left it got MacAlpine I think in Parsons on the other side and it's a give up the middle to L me or else Rafi and yards down over over the 45 yard line and the ball is where they spot it right just over the 45 yard line so it's about a second and five traffic was waving the ball around there as he was being tackled good even though it was just hanging out there waiting for somebody to take a swipe at it all right so they have Pat Parsons and Clark Marcia and wide to this side and it's a toss to Marcia and he's trying to get around the outside and he he his Daisy pounds and it's very close to the first down probably short by about a yard so we'll be third down and about one was he placing it they've got to get just over the 50 yard line 49 and a half yard line of Danvers so they love it yeah they need it by the yard then it's a quarterback keeper and he's over the whole pile moved load about three or four yards so much push it first down for Beverly Perry on the keeper and it'll be a first Danvers just what you needed there was a nice push by the offensive line they just welcome back about four or five yards speaking of the canvas defensive line so Beverly's move the ball about 15 yards or so here after taking over on the 40 and I'm not quite 15 12 yards they took over on the 41 and Nick berry under center and he gives it to I think that's Clayton MacAlpine hey cowboy nobody gains about eight yards on that well here the great hole where yeah we had a lot of running on it so it they're down to the 41 yard line of Danvers it'll be a secondary three between two three so let's hope they can keep moving this ball and this is exactly what you want to see yeah nicest sustained drive here where their defense down a little bit and do it with like they've been going over the offensive line has been pushing the Danville's defensive line backs and yeah exactly what I was kind of looking to see they've got else Raffy back and he's gives it tells no and I mean the defensive player was in the bag he could have took the hand off the defensive player there was deeper in the backfield and be a screen pass but no no no it's the third down in about a yard and a half now and if you gotta not sure that's not a good thing yeah they've got to convert here you got to get into the back end of this game Center comes out billowy and they got Marshawn and Rafi no they got to Clayton MacAlpine you know scrappy thanks looking all right time out so Beverly calls a timeout Gerry our Nick Barry looked over at the head of the yell at the coach and the coach gave him a timeout signal right they didn't likely as receivers were yeah something is not right out there on this side he kept looking at them like they that wasn't where they were supposed to be and Tyler Gary uh checks back into the end of the lineup so the coach coach Andrew Munsey is talking with Nick Barry they've got oh long yard about it the art and a half they've got to get down to the about the 38 and a half and the ball is straddling the 40 that respect I think that wasn't going to be a quick out tunnel look I'll pass out here the flat he didn't like the way it's his receivers were positioned look out there's the source more like one heart now and to give to the snow and to sweep and it's else Raffy and he gets the first down in Denver's so Clark Marchand helping Zack Dillon up off the turf and that's just show of good sportsmanship so Beverly's moved to ball 10 20 25 yards from their own 41 they got Duncan Moreland wide along with else Raffy and it's a fake though it to give to Clarke Marchand and they're going on the ball the members is going for the ball he gained maybe no I think he got back to the line of scrimmage barely if yeah so it's a second down and 10 second down and 10 for Beverly that was designed to be a quick opener but there was no open there was defense just too clogged up the middle and the clock Marshawn had nowhere to go but they got a lot remember Duncan Moreland Martian wide on this side and they've got us Raffy and Parsons on the right and Clayton MacAlpine behind the quarterback and it's a toss to and there was that quick note I was that he went out to plot mafia and I think he got the first down yeah I think that was the play that they were going to no he didn't get the person he was looking to run when they had a call with time off because he doesn't like the way is pursued this real position that must have been when he was tiptoeing down the sidelines there so they looks like they're going to tack on another ten yards so 24 so they're gonna and the ball is now on the 510 it's on the 14 yard line of Danvers so Beverly this is the Beverly's golden opportunity to get right back into this ball game with three minutes and 52 seconds left in the third quarter Beverly is knocking at the door and house Raffy and Parsons wide to the right and they've got Duncan Moreland and Clark Marcia and on the left and it's a give to the full-back and he gets nowhere and gets about two yards clayton McAlpine that did just no hole there just no hole no no list was we running plays but yeah no whistle gain of a body yard so they're down to about the 13 yard line so it's a second now they can yeah they can make a first down here that to go down to the 4 yard line to make a first down so again they have Australian Parsons wide to the right and Moreland and Clarke marsh and wide to the left claim MacAlpine behind Nick berry any day to think they caught him on Saturday whole for a big hole and he's a touchdown that was claimed mcalpine he just and I think they caught him on the defensive side anyway I think it wasn't defensive off sighs there was but there now by touch now makes it four key well well it'll be interesting to see whether they go for two or one here I guess one doesn't he doesn't really help them to and does it know they're gonna get behind actually go for two yeah I kind of like I wish they had gone for two when they scored the right at the end of the first half so three minutes in one second left in the third quarter never Lee has a little bit that will short one man the shadows of the field are getting longer now and they are going for two and it's a gift to else right yes it's a tie ballgame I mean who was Uncle Justin makes it a whole new ballgame 14 to 14 here with three minutes in one second left in the third quarter we have a brand-new ballgame now this is exactly what I wanted to see I want to see EE come out show some spirit some good look some Drive and that's exactly what I've seen they'll ever came to fumble on their first playfully and design but you're right Bob they they followed your advice in that that you keep sending those signals well I never coaches what stats are those they're two days just they just didn't have your wavelength my quickly words of wisdom all right very good so with just a little three minutes left in the third quarter Beverly will be kicking off they've got Danvers has Colby Holland and I think it's number five yeah our nemesis Matt McCarthy back deep both of which are dangerous running game sure there were losses for games and and nice it's a nice kick back down to the about the 10 yard line and Colby and he's he's hits for the sidelines and oh that was a block in the back yeah that was I saw that there was a block in the back so I think that that will be marked back probably to the 20 yard line level classroom John yeah it's a either holding or a blow or a clip Block in the back and the referees telling Matt McCarthy to get back over on his side of the field is he wanted to give him some advice yeah most average players is pretty given the refs advice yeah well then one that first argument I think they're very confident now you know yeah you could see that was uh you could see that from here so the balls now the nose of the balls at the 20 yard line so um let's hope that Beverley defense now has gotten some wind in their sails after that score by the offense and so Denver sends Reedy Matthew Reedy to the right and Mulaney it's a big players what I want to see because they was lacking in the first half I said they got the caught in the second half show some emotion show some enthusiasm so Beverly has it first intent on the 19 yard line up Danvers and Beverly is sky-high right now the name thrown on Thursday or sky-high this is the home built Willie comes out Center and they've got Duncan Moreland and Clark Martian wide to the left and Parsons and now scrappy to the right hello what's this now don't tell me it's a no it's a timeout looks like a timeout for ganders yeah two minutes and 44 seconds left in the third quarter and this has been quite a turn of events I thought when Beverly fumbled on that first play of scrimmage and in their opening drive of the second half I thought well here we go again yep rate will hold Denver's the way the second Haussmann going for that we throw the first five games ever responded well they're controlling that case the damage didn't have anybody dead so we had two wide receivers out wide to the right and they only had one defender out there I think that was what miss us to tailor the time alcohol so Beverly is grouped around their coach and the Danvers players a group there on their coach on the other side of the field and as you say Bob the the shadows are lengthening the other where we'll be in the gloaming part isn't that your favorite part of the gloaming department as fast the descending grove yeah is it the swarming descent there's some other there's some kind of a famous poem there about the colonial God with your waxing poetic here so Beverly has a first and ten at the danvers 19 yard line after a recovered fumble on the the very first play from scrimmage by on that series by Danvers so again they have Moreland and Clarke marsh and wide to the left Parsons and and it's a give to McAlpine and he trying to break a tackle and they pull him down no he so he's got about a four yard see where they mark the ball they're gonna market about the 15 or 16 and they mark it right at the between the 15 and 16 so yeah they had esteem going to toward the sideline but if he could have seen it and it's added to Weymouth if he had cut back boy he I think he'd have been gone also ran the the blocking and the boy if he had ever cut back there was nobody in the backyard out there again this is this is the worst angle for us on this field because we and it's a pass to Marcia Marcia I'm looking for Running Room and he breaks one tackle another one and we can't we can't even got fans in front of us and harmonica it looks like it's very close to the first down two years listen and that play has been very effective for Beverly the whole game is that that quick pass to the flats to Marshawn and that'll let him wear his his magic so they've got to get it down to the 9 yard line there on the 11 right now so - yep other than - this is really four down territory so that definitely yes so in 52 seconds in left in the third quarter and berry comes out and it's a gift of the second man I'm Milhouse Ralphie and he did he gets down to about the six yard line so it will be a first down at about the six for Beverly minute and 44 left in the third quarter and it looks like a referee Tama they're gonna know was that Elmi rush Rafi again he's he's is limping out that's looks like the same injury he had every time same look in there and Ryan burr are the backup quarterback is coming in and I like I like Ryan how did you mention not as big a guy as else Rafi but you know he's a good ball handler and I can catch the ball well they measure and they're down at the 17 yeah I did that me I don't know I don't know why they're measuring cameras are they know they weren't many but he was four yeah it's personal yeah it will be eight so um and Ryan Brewer is why do they not he you know if he does that slant pattern here this is this is milk for that low and it's a quarterback keeper and he's down to the three yard line very very down to the bout two three so it'll be second down and goal at about the three yard line where they place it they place it at about the four four and a half actually so perhaps second a fulfill before do they have enough men on the field Ron they need all right so a minute and two and the clock running the tie score here with 59 seconds left in the third quarter and and it's a give to um and there's a big big pileup a big thing why he's down there he had a head in combat between the five-yard line and the goal line that was Clark Marcia and it's not a lot of the three-time sometimes when I'm out in this period I think yeah the 36 seconds left and the clock running will probably go back down to the sunny side of the field with it well we're going to receive ya Evers love that that was a lab with the Sun in their eyes well we'll see what happens it's uh it's a second no it's a third down third down and goal on the two they're done a goal on the two so they've got Clark Marsh on and Clayton mcalpine behind it's a gift to Clark Marcia and he's the call was late by the ref but the ref did did they get the call touchdown so the refs are still discussing this no they give the touchdown they give this score so but the score now is Beverly 20 and Denver's 14 oh they'll be they'll go for this point after and they'll be kicking off and going into the fourth quarter nobody I would go for two again yes absolutely like Jake Louganis number 41 out of a Pat Parsons hold and it's good yeah so if every we mean it's 21 to 14 actually that one conversion forces gavvers likes to win the game or something into a two point two point conversion but and they might be verb you know I just really been more comfortable they won 4-2 because I think that what Jen was in a different position they would have had two real you know school and then feel that they had to get two points just to tie the game and yeah that's true too that's true too so wow what a great turn of events here for um for Beverly two scores here in the and put what's the period they've switched ends here so now Danvers will have the Sun on the rise in the fourth quarter it's a brand new quarter here and Beverly will be kicking off to Danvers again they expect Matt McCarthy number five and either 21 Kobe Holland or yeah it's Kobe Holland and Matt McCarthy we've done yeoman work here today now they got another a new kicker and this is a kind of a short kick it's down to the 15 yard line and it's Colby Holland and he's brought down a big pile of bodies there in about the 31 32 yard line so Danvers will take over and about their own where are they placing about the 31 yard line so every way just to turn this ballgame around how Bob yeah this is probably through the first five games like the fourth period there's not been a good period for Beverly and I I think this is gonna be a really good test yeah this is breakdown and keep this state baked apples mostly maybe scroll again this area could be political this is time for them to have a good fourth quarter Jenna so they've got tuning in two men wide either side now so they give it to the first man and he's stuck and there's a pile of bodies there and two-yard gain or 83 yard gain for Danvers really and so it would be a second down in about eight four we've got to get down to that they've got to get to their 41 yard line so it's second down then about eight Mullaney at quarterback and he gives to the to the bag and itself no gain nope in fact it was a loss of about a yard or two so employed slid down in about nine for danvers and one for that first man that just to slow him down and that's exactly what he did although we didn't bring him down but that also the defense on their time together to finish the play so gamblers love the 39 if Beverly can hold them here they'll get the ball back in very decent position decent field position so here comes here comes Danvers they've got Matt McCarthy wide to the left and they have two other men wide right which I can't see their numbers and I think they might be offsides they call a timeout so looks like yeah so Danvers calls a timeout and it's a it's a third down and about eight they're down to nine for Danvers the ball is just over their 30-yard line I'm sorry it's about the 33 yard line 32 yard line we've got to get down to the 41 so and they break the huddle and they come out I got my heart the out wide to the left the coaches saw something well this is a 39 so I'm here and mulaney's back and he's rolling to his right and he's running and he's oh and he's pushed out of bounds rather rudely by the Bentley floats if he made her first down I think he did yes revered I think so whoa somebody got knocked all kind of penalties all kind of flags going on somebody got knocked down really that was a Danvers player that one landed on that was number eight that was the that was Zack Dillon the co-captain that there was some pretty there were tape Templars keeper there are flags now it might be offsetting penalties here I think so they're giving it against the Panthers I guess I was on the other side of the field I didn't see the poor shovel oh I saw it it was violent he pushed down very yeah but that must have it must have been precipitated by something because you don't you don't push that hard without anything you know without anything so they still haven't marked off the Artic I'm wanting to know if they I don't call this offsetting now he called it against the personal foul against them but here's Cheverly and Morenci is just barely his arms over on this side of the field he just does not like what he sees there and he is just so disavowed him they're not even paying attention to the referees are and the average players aren't trying to give them advice this time and see what's happening I don't think there's a couple EE players they're trying to give them some advice you know I think it was precipitated by something that happened over there maybe on the bench that we'll see what happened see what the ref says here see what they the initial indication was the personal foul against well that's what the Bevis aim to 3 4 7 12 13 14 15 oh boy another seat Bob again this is it fourth-quarter breakdown yep penalties didn't she wasn't shook out but do those stupid things like that football on the Beverly 40 48 yard line no coach Marty is still yelling from his side of the field you've got to show restraint efficacy that was like offs offside of setting penalties because then item Beverly all I saw was that the canvas players go flat on his back I don't know what precipitated all that and Mulaney is and it's a screen played at number 21 and they're trying to bring him down and he's almost a face last year yeah that was close so it's very close to the first yeah there's a very smart play that was a very very well designed play there it was a screen pass and they just let the Beverly players flood in and it looks like are they giving them a first down yeah look now a very close you know danvers took advantage of the aggression which I'm happy to say that Beverly has been showing in this half and that screencast was a quick fall as you said so and there was a good play by the defensive player who did not grab ahold of that face man 46 and the clock rolling danvers has it on the 27 yard line of Beverly and it's a keeper by Mulaney and he tries that little that little sidestep move in that little and somebody both the Beverly and the Danvers players were asking for a penalty of some sort they they were both the ball is down to the 26 yard it's a second down in about 8 for gamblers this game all this has become very emotional is it games are but flames living a little yeah the Beverly's co-captain Nick Gonzalez there is just he's up and down that line encouraging his fellow players Mullaney back and shotgun he gets it and the oh he's down his knee was down so it's at a third down bounce the ball bounced I'll get it okay so is there like an infield of one bounce okay so the ball is some it's a well ref lays the ball down it gives them an extra half yard on that an incomplete pass in the rough spots at a half yard all right so it's a third and eight they got two men out wide to the right they got Matthew Reedy and Colby Holland and macho's and he throws it and he follow and he drops the ball see on fourth down the ball was there but then we receive a Reedy [Applause] Matthew Reedy it was right like you say Papua worse place to get her right I'm gonna bread ask here right in the hands he was kind of sliding at the time but t-shirt I had that for now looking upfield a little bit too he was ready to run so maybe four down defensive and Everly can hold here in seven minutes and 45 seconds left in the game and it's a fourth and eight for Danvers and [Applause] and Mulaney is rolling to his right and he throws and he catches the ball I think that's the first thing that's a first down that was yeah he ran deep we read he had them and then he came right back to me he made sure he had the first down and it was right there he threw a bullet just a bullet right at him and boy that's um that was tough to take for Beverly so the ball is on never about the 17 yard line and it's a first down in 10 on the 17 and there's seven minutes 39 seconds left in the game and Mulaney under center and he gives it to number five Matt McCarthy and McCarthy is we've dropped the AVI Carey and he gets it down to about the 7 yard line or so and it's a second down and one so 7 minutes 18 and the clock running in the game Panthers are up 21 to 14 21 to 14 and number 21 Colby Holland is wide to the right they've gotten that McCarthy and the I second man deep and it's a quarterback keeper and they'll be difficult to see he had to get down too but it's hard to see this is the most difficult angle for us on the field isn't it Bob it's almost impossible for LaRon yeah we we could be off 4 or 5 yards here looking at we're just looking at those stripes and trying to try to draw this drapes down to the sideline and that is saying first first down first in goal first in goal on the 6 Gold six so six minutes 32 seconds the clock is running and Mullaney looks like there's a lot of room on them on the left side and it'll give a gift to Matt McCarthy and he's very close he's very close on the carry and he gained about three yards so it'll be about second and goal on about the three now second three yeah so when they're running so they take Matt McCarthy and that are posting my as a receiver they put him in the backfield and just let him do the work he's a shifty runner I'm gonna say that he's very elusive very elusive he seems to be able to run sideways very well and elude those tacklers and again he's behind they got it he's the deep man in the eye I could see him pitching back and running to the left here that's what that's what and it's to McCarthy and it looked sick he's in for the score and our theme for the score so that makes the score Beverly 21 and Danvers 20 and this will be interesting cause it's just a sophomore um with the antlers and for Danvers they do they go for the two-point conversion do they go for what looks like they're going for one well if you haven't gotten to the kicker I would go for that yeah Zach Dillon their kicker five minutes and 32 seconds so it's not it's not time to panic yet so now what's happening not so they do a shift of some sort so and it's and it's up and it looks like it's good yeah yep so we have a game 21:21 with 5 minutes and 32 seconds left and Beverly will be receiving the kickoff this isn't out to be quite an exciting game up this is the kind of game that I hoped I would see but again that was a teen yard penalty there that was just a killer after by the 10 yard scramble by the quarterback another 15 it's a 25-yard gain there not just that just her let's just hope Beverly stays cool here a nice long drive huh Bob that's what we need a big round kind of thinking that they can even get close they could even go for a field goal you're right nice just nice and long sustained drive here with the now I wouldn't put past put it past the embers to do it on onside kick here we go think call them go for all what I although now they have to be pretty sure that we're gonna catch Beverly off guard because if they give up the ball that right no if I was a coach oh just and yet while Beverly is expecting the onside kick no they're not check it out of their mouths yeah yeah maybe you're right get better to get Beverly deep and it didn't count on your office are you an offense to looking really low as a soul and it's a squib kick and it's oh my goodness oh and Clark Martin just can't seem to get a handle on the ball and he picked it oh boy oh boy oh boy well it looks like he might have broken that yeah well you how many times you see a broken play like that whether everybody's just standing around and the ball is bouncing around when they pick it up and go it off her goes for good yardage yeah that they also he ventures into deep and they and will be one that pictures up and then all of a sudden go is the defense can be caught flat-footed good but also you know he avoided a couple of tackler that he could have been tackled down you know on his own five yards when a ball is bouncing back and forth like that you're trying to get the handle on it and you can't seem to get it it eludes you and it was a kind of a squid yeah monster with bouncing sideways that's whip kick is that's what it's designed to do it if it can get behind the defender behind the offensive man so fairly well out first and ten on their own whether they have it on the 29 yard line 19 19 yard line I'm sorry wrong strike and it's a give two McAlpine and he gains about a yard or two comes out over the 20 out to about the 21 yard line so well they give him off four yards he'll be second down and second down and six a No second down and seven be right second and seven for Beverly five minutes left in the game and the clock is is running and now what's happening though the better watch for delay a game here this is better watch for delay a game last week is second - why - get the plays in [Applause] oh you call a timeout see maybe they paid of the raced at a timeout because it just took too long to get that thing underway it's a code you doing keeping them over there until there's only ten minutes ten seconds left at the very points in a game when I think how we have offense would be very effective it's slowing down can't forever four minutes and 31 seconds left in the game and I haven't seen it what did they go into an extra period or what what are they doing high scores at a time you know I don't know I'm social launchers I've been seeing a gay man go inside yeah maybe our score GT what did they do in the case of a tie what do they do in the case of a tie after regulation it's overtime okay fine all right untimed overtime okay so Beverly it has a second and they give it to the second man through and he doesn't gain very much maybe another two yards so it'll be a third in about four or five let's call it a third and five 34 so isn't Kiki gone forever yeah they don't give it if they give it the ball here this is definitely not for thon territory so they've got to get it yeah they've got to get it here so it's four minutes one four minutes exactly the clock running and they've got Ryan there or in Y to the right and along with Clarke Marsha this is a maybe a time for that quick slant into to Ryan paranoid they give it to Marchand oh and my shot drops the ball oh what a time to fumble the ball for the wife so it's a fourth down for Beverly they just couldn't couldn't get that first down that they needed that was closed off for you all right but then he never really had no he never on the ballroom well they've got it now looks like Danvers well they've got that they've got Matt McCarthy out back he they're gonna get very good field position out of this he's these are dangerous yeah he's standing on his own 40-yard line and they've got to get a good boot out of this if happy back with dampers I think that Dan is just going to bring the everything but the kitchen sink here and it's a nice nice kick and McCarthy takes it at about the 38 yard line and he's going to the sideline and he falls down how about the 49 and and slides a couple yards forward I think they're gonna mark it right about it midfield mm-hmm he's not only got half the field to go and then seven seconds well so with the tie score three minutes and 27 seconds left in regulation my neighbors will take over first and ten at mid field and [Applause] Mullaney a quarterback and he gives it to McCarthy and McCarthy I think they've got his number by now that's about a four yard gain on that play that they do yeah they've got stuff they were ready for they were ready for him when the Beverly players are slow getting up that's about a four yard game so second and six there is a Beverly player down I can't see the number there but he looks like he's in a little bit of pain here and seemed maybe hopefully it's just a cramp now they're looking at it like it might be it might be a cramp I can't tell who that is I can't there's no way he's letting on this back so there's no soon the number [Music] separately oh that's the quads the center that's Billy woolly bill bill will lease number 72 so 3 minutes and 13 seconds left in regulation here oh it's a tie score 21 21 and Danvers is moving the ball they have the ball in the 46 yard line of Beverly second and six kind of all of a sudden become very quiet here in this all that enthusiasm of about five minutes ago and well they touched on that canvas scored some of the wind out of their sails but except the Beverly they're sniffing here and so that's bill Woolley and he's uh yeah he's so kind of favoring that left way yeah he's kind of hobbling off so so Mulaney comes back into the huddle and Danvers comes out second in six second and six for Denver's again they got McCarthy deep in that I formation Mulaney under center and again it gives it to McCarthy and he go cheese he just carried a Beverly Park layer three yards on his back that's a lot of strength for a small guys over he was low to the ground and they just kept his legs moving up two minutes and 47 seconds left in the fourth quarter the clock moving and Danvers has a first down at the 37 yard line of Beverly and it's a give to McCarthy again and he's brought down after bottom two yard gain so the second and about eight two minutes and 22 seconds to to to and the clock is running so it's a gain of about a yard and a half the ball is just short of the 35 yard line and two minutes and six seconds clock is running damage doesn't seem to be in any hurry here but nobody really has to hold their because well maybe they're thinking that they can score at will and then they not with me and it's a it's a oh he's one it's a throw to them and it's all beautiful defensive play is that Clark - Clark Marchand yep yeah because number step number six Isaac downs and we reserve marsh and just he could have it he almost intercepted that ball he would have been a fantastic interception I think that would have iced the game for Beverly well it's just a little too long to get because he was open and Clark Marsh can't cut the ball off at the last second so it's a it's a third and eight for Danvers a man 48 left in none so there's almost no sunlight on the field as Oliver Horner and Mullaney and he gives it to McCarthy McCarthy trying to get around there Noah nice about a 2-yard game and the average players are not happy like they missed their blocks yep so it's a 4th down and 7 fourth down in seven it's minute and 34 left in the fourth quarter so does does Danvers punt or do they go for all the authority go for it they're gonna go for it okay first down and 15 yeah just so they could have given the kicker a shot of the field goal from down there yeah his extra points abut long is really really bloomed it through yeah well he's a big guy that's a skill in the co-captain of life Danvers well this has been a very enjoyable game and we're are we officially in the gloaming at this world man well there's still some Sun on the field that can you feed the gloaming roaming here in the press box for we've been gloaming all we're on this shady side of the field there's still a little portion of the stanza opposite us that are still in the Sun but they probably can't see the field very well from there because the Sun is right in their eyes so here we go I think this is this might be the game on the line here fourth down and and seven for Danvers who doesn't call me just to see how this was gonna go so and Mulaney and he throws it to it and he does he catch the ball he caught it for a first down wow what a catch what a catch by Colby Holland that ball was rocketed to him and I say look McMaster oh the end 20 30 yard line no the balls on the 25 and it's a minute and 20 minute 19 the clock is running oh boy this is a this is a nail-biter this is a white-knuckle flight isn't it Bob 25 little first down for Danvers and it's a keeper by the quarterback and he gains the people about five yards and it's a minutes under a minute 59 second 57 seconds the clock is running and 50 seconds left in the fourth quarter my view and there's a second and five for Danvers and it's a gift to McCarthy but he stopped for a loss of you care of one yard there's seven seconds and calls a timeout by Tyler Bailey that tackle is made by Tyler Geary so Danvers has got to get to the to the 15 for a first down and they have a third in about seven and the thirty seven point two seconds left in the in the fourth quarter third seventy-two know what's happening here somebody better get off the field quick here Billy Woolley is coming back he was the injured man he took Beverly Center now he better set up quickly here oh it's alright so it's a third down third and seven and Mulaney and he throws to the any catches him now get him down was a fourth down definitely got now and he could and looks like another timeout timeout Denver's so it's a fourth down and six is what it down six fourth down seven yeah I thought he was I thought he was near the first down marker that's why I got so excited but that was five yards short of it so I wanted him to to get him down because if he would just lean for now for so it's well they had a lot of confidence in better it looks like the kickers come out he's gonna try a field goal in 28 seconds this many there's no word on the gap it's looks like they're gonna try a few goes Beverly better I think this is what Dan was head than them guy grinding yeah Zack Dylan he as you pointed out done bob has got has gotten good Lake so he was booming the extra points where they were won't [Applause] falls down and it's up and it's good [Applause] he's definitely gonna like oh my goodness oh my goodness 24 to 21 favor of Danvers 22 point two seconds left wow what a heartbreaker what uh-oh yeah that was a tough one and that that ball just barely made it over the crossbar just barely but it doesn't have to go far over just as long as it gets over not knowing that was something that they although I don't think you can get close they have a thing I the weapon there anything that kids like well we got a hope for uh we have to hope for a long kickoff return here and maybe a wloz split chicken oh I'm sure it's going to be a squibber because they don't want to they want to keep it away from the deep men and they want to remove any possibility of a long run by grot yeah any possibility but cut down the possibilities so twenty two point two seconds Danvers is leading 24 to 21 in a very very exciting football game here from herd stadium and Zach Dillon who just kicked the field goal and and it's Jacob there are twelve point three seconds Jake there are almost almost broke it he almost broke it that would have been around once more money guys slow down too many times that's what he almost broke it that was quite a run back to the 37 yards so that would be 37 12 seconds back of the game yeah yeah that was a rush three men and they'll they'll put everybody way back in center field there oh that was Duncan Morel in him and he had the ball the ball was there that was well wrong there was but the ball was there there was a jump ball oh yeah ball was there oh so unfortunately this is going to be the last play of the game because if they would have got the completed that they had a chance to score a mother go throwing away the endzone from there [Applause] so this is Beverly's last gasp here the last play of the game they're down 24 to 21 six and a half seconds left in the game and here we go this is it this is the game rushing through everybody else's back [Applause] you're all out there and that's the ballgame and the danglers team is rushing onto the field to congratulate their players and august they all deserved win that was a last-second field goal and that's just got to be heartbreaking for Beverly but well they drove down they were down by a touchdown they drove out tying it up and then there took advantage of good field position and go down close enough so that they kicked it with the kicker of game-winning field goal so a great kick Arizona big weapon in high school football so in a very very exciting game here at herd Stadium the visiting Danvers Falcons beat the Beverly Panthers 24 to 21 in an extremely exciting game good game to watch Beverly needed this desperately and they just couldn't pull it through there the Zac Dillon their kicker picked the field goal co-captain and and won the game for them well they certainly didn't need the win I won't Donald disagree with that but they also needed a strong second half and they got it they get it then they had a strong fourth period that if they gave up ten points but they were in the game that they out they didn't give up they didn't hold up or anything lose control of the line of scrimmage weren't happy at all and I should set that there that they needed that too they needed me of a strong second half showing and they get it yeah well Bob so from hurt stadium the final score here is the visiting Falcons of Danvers 24 Beverly Panthers 21 in a very exciting game and this is Walt Keselowski for a bet cam with my sidekick Bob bobs well thank you very much for watching and listening and we'll see you next week thank you very much [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]

[Music] hello and welcome to the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse for the volleyball match up between the 86 Beverley Panthers and b6 and five visiting Evert Crimson I am Alex Luca although it's said in the graphic previously that the announcer would be Carly Peterson I apologize if you're expecting that but I am Alex so we'll go with not Carly Peterson Evert Crimson coming in at six and five they're one of the teams that came over from the GBL when they merge with the NEC and the majority of sports in the NEC haven't seen them play volleyball in the five years I've been doing this so this is a virtual unknown virtual unknown also because roster was unavailable so a lot of unknowns here watching them in practice they seem to be a formidable opponent for this barely team but this brotherly team has been clicking there eight and six right now they've been on a roll the front line on this team is unmatched I think in the NEC sled by Sprague who actually leads the NEC in total blocks with 112 according to MaxPreps and Kate Mulligan just behind her with 99 they actually have the top three spots with Katie Noonan with 56 also in four of the top five with Mattie Cassidy rounding out the top five and blocks with 43 [Applause] yeah I apologize for not having the Everett roster in front of me do the best we can to keep him in the loop with things Beverly's sending out there Noonan Sprague mulligan Cassidy McGarrigle in Gebhardt also snow out there the Libero along with Sidney Wiley while II will be serving start this first set [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so from Wylie Everett returns it on the third attempt why they will set it up for Gebhardt gets it past the block from number 15 and that's a quick point for the Panthers one-nothing Beverly lead quickly in this first set [Music] [Applause] good job by Gebhardt can he get past that double block attempt and yet he aced therefore wily early in the first set so her service quickly off to two points for Beverly [Music] [Applause] every team does have a bit of height but we'll see how they fare with this season Beverly team with loaded with juniors and seniors snow's their wily will set it up for Cassidy on the outside third attempt returned and that's a rocket from number 15 boy every their first of the first set and we're 15 did a good job of getting up there and striking that one down was after she had a failed block attempt give Beverly their first point of the first set serve McGarrigle capped up nicely by wiley but it couldn't be sent over by beverly so we're tied at two here in the first set [Applause] second serve for number 11 on the average side first touched by Cassidy while he does a good job of trying to get over to the score Shea will try to keep it up but never it will take their first lead of the first set free to again Evert a relatively unknown according to Max preps they've beat some pretty good teams but they've also that also lost to some pretty poor teams and that's gonna be leave Mulligan at the net credited with that kill tied at three in the first set as Noonan will enter for McGarrigle [Applause] [Music] [Applause] serving will be Maddie Cassidy yeah that's gonna be nice for three leave for Beverly early in this first set [Applause] Cassidy one of the leaders on this team [Applause] [Music] [Applause] another jump served for such by the Libero third attempt has to be sent over miscommunication but the lateral libero excuse me gets it over wily it's gonna have to be Gebhardt she pushes it over with two hands kept up nicely by the Libero another attack number 15 that hits the net false the ground Boyd Beverly one of Evert strengths is clearly the power in size of number 15 [Applause] [Music] another serve from Cassidy in another turn from Everett first touched by noon and Wiley will set it up for Gebhardt set up for the middle number 15 take another whack at it snow hit it rolled off the fingertips it's another kill there for number 15 five for Beverly lead in this first set [Applause] wilee for snow she sends it over good job Ida libero trying to keep it in play but too far away from her to really get there as Sprague enters for the Libero snow Surrey now will be Mulligan [Applause] [Music] [Applause] can be sent over by Everett Cassie's the first one there Wiley will set it up for noon and on the outside good power there but it's returned by Everett setting it up with Deb Hart is wily and that's gonna fall for a Beverly point seven four leave for Beverly Mulligan will continue to serve [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] he's set up around the 15 she gets up there but couldn't get the leverage she wanted that sales far barely extending the lead to four after watching this first set unfold a little bit more that gets clear Beverly should take this in three straight sets no excuses if they don't this is a team that they should run through given the talent that Beverly has noonan good power then returned wildly for Noonan good adjustment there nice dig there by noon but it goes out of play good good effort try to keep it up but number 15 for Everett caught that Beverly front line off-guard clearly is a bright spot for this crimson team she is now serving her team trailing eight to five rockets served soon as that hit the net that just died down nothing snow could do about that one Wow a lot of spin on that [Applause] another good surveyor Cassidy keeps it up Wiley to spray set up for the outside snows there while he sets it up for Sprague in the middle again it's gonna be returned if the net falls down back to Beverly nine six they lead now is libero enters for Everett to replace number 15 serving will be Julia gab Hart the Hamilton the one I'm transfer has done a good job for this very team of that serve will sail into the net [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] serve from Everett first touch Mike Cassidy while he keeps it up Gebhardt will punch it over return from Everett's knows their weird play at the net Noonan does a good job of trying to keep it up at Sheep steps over that line always weird having that come from the back side not knowing if it's going to go over the net or not having a charge just in case nine eight Beverly lead in this first set Noonan going for the Battle of number 18 at the net but that's one by Everett tied at nine here in the first set three straight points for the Crimson [Applause] cassadee while he will set it up for noon and on the outside nice play by the Crimson as they get it over in 3 Wiley at the net she sets it up for Sprague gets it past the double block and find some paint ten nine Beverly regains the lead [Applause] Noonan now serving John Vianney point Beverly [Applause] [Music] Newton's second serve of this service caching the entire crimson team off-guard there another point for Beverly Noonan trying to build off this confidence from her first two serves of this service [Applause] number 15 in there for the Crimson Beverly trying to take advantage of that and return error from number nine on the crimson so just like that after three straight points for the Crimson and when they tied it at nine Beverly comes back with four straight of their own led by this service from Noonan we're gonna go for five Cassidy rears back and gets it done had a dig right back to her instead of set it up sorry just mid play son that whole backline charging up she reared back and dirty to that one home another point for Beverly this service from Noonan keeps going that's the fifth serve going on six now [Applause] [Music] seemed like this Panther team just needed a few volleys to really adjust and that's gonna be another point as there was miscommunication from that back row levy was number seven number eight yeah it's gonna be another race and head coach John debase so has seen enough he's gonna call a timeout after Beverly his foot eight straight points on the board against the crimson service from Katie Noonan totaling seven serves will now on the eighth eighth straight unanswered points for the Panthers it's clear that this Beverly team is far superior crimson out of their timeout huddle already coach Padovani still talking with her thirteen snow leading the breakdown out of the huddle as she always does 79 Beverly lead in this first set Katie Noonan serving for the 8th time in this service got a few aces see if she can get a couple more nice to be sent over snow gets it done set up for the outside Noonan right at the net tough play for Sprague and Wiley they couldn't get it done as that returned I believe it was from Noonan hit the very top of the net and just trickled down so 1710 lead for the Panthers still snow while he sets it for Cassidy on the outside and that was a locket but they couldn't do anything about that one [Music] [Applause] snow at the surf battle at the net Mulligan wins the first one she'll go for the second as well the third time and she finally gets it done it seems and she does three straight attacks right at the net trying to take on the whole crimson line herself and third time's charm snow still serving her team leads nineteen ten another display by the Crimson 2010 lead now for Beverly Beverly running away with this one would say this is Beverly's best blade set of the season but given the talent of this Friesen team this is something Beverly should be doing as snow collects that ace for her team that one's going to see a lot of bounds [Applause] libero for Everett we'll start her service good sir first touch by Cassidy while he sets it up for snow seemed like she was trying to go to the outside but miss played it almost capped up there by McGarrigle after Gebhardt dug it out so two straight points for the Crimson [Applause] another serve Cassidy Wiley sets it up for Mulligan number 15 back in there after a rest on the bench and Mulligan in number 15 going at it both girls getting some shots in they're gonna be battling again and it's won by Mulligan a little more than that as number 15 tried to just locked it over underhand style but that one right into the net so serving will be wily she started this first set with her service and she'll look to end it her team just needing three points to get this first set win against the Crimson the Crimson excuse me and she gets the first [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] serving again is wily that one stayed in it's gonna be called in knighted states there by the Beverly setter Sidney Wiley gonna be set point here for the Panthers as I said before while he started with her service she'll try to end it can she do it and it's going to be prolonged at least one more serve that one sails back serving will be Everett sir from number 11 was a good serve a lot of spin on that not often a opponents buckle the knees of the Libero snow but they won had quite a bit of quite a bit of spin on it another one McGarry was there wiley sets it up or bumps it up excuse me for McGarrigle bumped out for number 15 she bumps it over McGarrigle wiley someone's gonna have to be snow actually it's McGarry little sends it over set for a number 15 her attack too much for wide I want one off her shoulder a number 15 on this ever team I really wish you had a roster might give her props this is probably the most powerful attack we've seen in this gym this year [Applause] doesn't even look like she's getting a lot on it and it's still a rocket doesn't get high off the ground cheese and eat it you got those long arms already tall has to be at least I'd say 6-1 6-2 as Cassidy sends a rocket to end the first set 25-15 first set win for the Panthers we'll be back after a few commercials [Music] you are at the Henry catalog field house here Beverly High School for this matchup between the Beverly Panthers and the Everett Crimson again the Crimson rather unknown coming into tonight they came over from the JBL with a few other teams like Malden and Medford and Beverly has really handled them pretty easily if they're in that first set it was 25 15 the final score and that's closer than even what it was there was at one point everyone on an eight old run led by the service from Katie Noonan was ultimately ended by an attack from Maddy Cassie that was a rocket that got past the back row of the Crimson there's one thing to be said about this Crimson team that's number 15 don't have a roster in front of us not a lot of information on this team but it's very clear she can play by far the I want to say the best attack we've seen in this gym so far even given the talented attacks from this Beverly team all season long like the ones from Cassidy from Mulligan Noonan all those girls respectively but number 15 definitely has the power that we used to see back when PB would come here and it was Carolyn's khaki the red rocket from Peabody high school come in and light this gym up it's very reminiscent of that she's got the size she's got the athleticism and it looks effortless to her really about 40 seconds away from this second set as I said during that first set Beverly this is a team that you've got to be you've got to beat this ever team you're definitely better than them they have one bright spot Beverly has six to eight of them literally was already clicked excuse me clicking the past few games and now that they're getting Maryana Ellis back on the court as I was saying now that Mariana Ellis is back on the court in healthy assuming she was injured that's just a boost for this Beverly rotation that was already short I mean we've talked about this coach Padovani usually not going with a with a bigger rotation historically but this year hits it's been a lot it's been a lot more than we've been used to seeing along with the six girls are on the court right now in snow Ellis McGarrigle Wiley Bastian Mulligan Noonan is heavily involved as usually as Sprague also and Gephardt and bear so at times this team where it used to be a seven girl rotation at times now you're getting nine ten girls in very quickly and very rapidly so something we're used to really seeing here at Beverly in might have something to do with the I don't want to say lack of talent because these girls have worked really hard but it's been a while since we've had a team this deep here at Beverly high school and that's something to be excited about and I'm sure coach Mantovani knows it Mulligan sent over by Everett while he sets it up for Cassie she's just gonna drop it and that's a savvy move she saw the double block coming up against her and she just drops it over just like a rainbow shoot me like Shawn Marion won another lead for the Panthers as Newton comes in for McGarrigle [Music] [Applause] wilee to serve sent over on the third attempt loudly keeps it in Ellis and Noonan sends it over set up for number 15 here comes a rocket snow good job a staying put and keeping it up in the air pumped immediately back over good play there by Mulligan trying to catch the Crimson off-guard another attack from number 15 this one finds paint one-one [Music] crimson want any chance of stealing a set or two from this Beverly team they need that girl right there number 15 a play like that snow keeps it up tough play as wily is charging towards the net and tried to keep it up as well as Mulligan but Evert takes a 2-1 lead I believe this is their first lead of the match served by number 11 she's had that she had a couple good serves there towards the end of that first half of this one that one hits the net she knows she just missed it so we're tied here at 2:00 as Cassidy will start her service Cassidy with the jump serve and sails just too far [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] snow while he sets it up for Ellis on the outside this one gets the net so put two points for the Crimson they leave this second set for two Ellis Mulligan snow sends it over ask the day go the other libero only back on the board serving now will be Mulligan right play there by snow sent over on the third attempt Cassidy Ellis ultimately sent over to a Corona 15 sent it right back sometimes that's all you're gonna be able to do if you're Beverly just getting away in Hope at Dustin trickle off you newton the attack adjusted in midair gets it down for four now that was a new bomb [Applause] [Music] [Applause] more than continuing her service 15 past the block of Sprague Craig leads the entire NEC in blocks unofficially according to MaxPreps that one that's not easy to do as number 15 will start her service crimson up 5 to 4 kept up by Ellis Newton right at the net sent back and a lot of confusion there the Everett front line number nine to number 18 so we're tied here few seconds that tied at 5 barely leading one sets and nothing in the first set really started out like this as well both teams really feeling each other out and Beverly ultimately running away with it 25:15 and it wasn't even that close then be a point for Everett though getting past the block of Sprague that's two in this second set as McGarrigle will come in for Noonan surf remember seven island hits the net like back to Beverly tide here at seven back and forth second set at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse [Applause] serving now will be Ellis and one looked like it was gonna say a little too far the kingdom might have helped out the Panthers they're a good attack from the back row by the little ho Cassidy gonna come with a paw that one sails little far back and forth another we change here serving now we'll be number 18 per serve just barely sails out of bounds good call by Ellis there not to go for it as snow will serve and Mulligan enters for spray [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] serve from snow returned by Everett caste was there wilee sets it up for snow sales a little too far another back and forth another league change crimson lead 87 Beverly does not want to drop a set to this far inferior every team [Music] cassadee while he sets it up for Cassidy you know a third attempt where we can get it over very uncharacteristic of Cassidy there nine seven lead for the Crimson L good serve their first touch by McGarrigle wiley for snow snow sends it over can be set up the number 15 nother attack I don't know if that's going to be a block from all again are found one just hit the net either way Beverly point [Applause] [Music] Noonan entering for McGarrigle is widely discredited service routine trailing nine eight in the second set can we set up on the outside for number 15 another bomb snow does a good job staying with it's gonna be sent over by Wiley great job by this Beverly team they're gonna have to do it again as number fifteen comes again and snow does a great job of getting out of the way nine nine now Wiley still serving great play but Alvaro snow to jump out of the way it out one who knows could have been trying to save herself I wouldn't know what get hit with one of those attacks of the sir from wire that one sails just too far to another lead change [Music] ten nine crimson lead in this second set number eleven serving she's got a few good ones but also a few of those another serving her for her second straight actually in the second set and we're tied at ten as Maddie Cassady gets ready to serve neither team able to pull away in this second set let's see if Cassidy and get her team on the right track she's the first there Riley and then sent over by Mulligan good job by Beverly had just barely get it over Mulligan going out against number fifteen but it was the net that was her biggest opponent there and the lead goes back to everything a lot of returners a lot of attackers and serving errors in the second set leading to a stalemate 21 points into it [Music] in return air forever 11:11 make a wish my wish is for Everly to just pull ahead right here that's my 11:11 wishes we're gonna get a timeout tied at 11:00 neither team able to really pull away in the second said it was Beverly who pulled away at about this point in the first set when Noonan served eight straight times it was nine nine at one point before you knew it it was 17 nine Beverly mean they eventually took that first set 25-15 I'm expecting that same thing to happen here Beverly to superior team they had things clicking there in that first set but also it has a lot to do with that ever team making mistakes not even being able to return serves from Newton so barely needs really locked down and not expect effort to make the same mistakes they did in that first set because if they're relying on that that will not happen snow breaks it down and Mulligan will look to serve to give her team the lead in the second set [Music] Mulligan set up for number 15 not a lot of mustard on that one there really easily returns it that's meaning it's gonna be pumped good job at Cassidy keeping that one in play Ellis the attack finds a corner Beverly gets the lead 1211 maybe that's the spark they needed and his Ellis didn't put a whole lot of power on that but boy could she find that corner Mulligan it has to be sent over it's pumped over [Music] wilee renewed him battle at the net sprays gonna get called stepped over that line tied at 12 again snow info mulligan serving will be number 15 good serve there tough play at the net Noonan eventually gets it over heads-up play thereby meaning and it's returned by the crimson wily for Noonan a new shot in that one drops 1312 Newton will serve [Applause] [Music] [Applause] sir from Newton hits the net back and forth back and forth neither team has had a two-point lead since Everett led four to two earlier in this set [Applause] [Music] the serve Ellis what's that one slide off the wrists so we'll lead forever Everett looking to gain a two-point lead something neither team has done since ever led four to two earlier in this set and that one's going to sell out of bounds and asila has a nap in 1414 back and forth back and forth [Music] [Applause] analyst is served she had an impressive kill moments ago finding the corner Tim they would just in midair with that serve but Italy is going to be a point for Beverly she threw that ball up to start that serve as Beverly leads now 1514 referees checking to make sure the score on scoreboards correct it says 1513 in here but we all know it's 1514 the goat scoreboard operator for Bev cam Robert Doakes would never get that wrong him by goat I mean actual go animal not greatest of all time he's just he's a goat with the keyboard and he can still count Atlas looking to give Beverly a 2-point lead [Applause] who serve it's gonna be returnable nice attack kept up there by Ellis probably gonna let that one go but they're only still playing this out McGarrigle keeps it up while he has to send that over a good job by her setup Ribeiro for attack lands in between McGarrigle and snow both looking at each other and it's 1515 neither team can get a leg up here I'm gonna start calling this team the heart attack cats cardiac cats excuse me both kind of sound the same point Beverly is that server from the crimson hits the net willing to bet somehow the crimson get this next point in its 1616 there's something selling me it's just back and forth smells serve handled by the Crimson they have to send it over on the third they do cassadee first their wily sets it up for Cassidy on the near side and that one will fall point Beverly finally a team gets a two-point lead it's been a long time since beginning of this second set when the crimson led 4-2 snow will continue to serve maybe Beverly can pull away here now rocket from Mulligan it's kept up though and she can't return the attack from number 11 1716 wildly seems to be clarifying with the refs about something [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] wily Mulligan her attack finds some paint 18:16 Wiley will start her service as Noonan will replace McGarrigle [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] serve from Wylie off of a crimson defender 1916 give me crimson player every leads 1916 in the second set work we go up two sets to none goes off the rest and ask to be returned it's returnable and I believe Bevins get any credit for that anyway so it was followed by the Libero on Everett 2016 lead now for the Panthers widely still serving there for the Panthers is wily snow Ellis Cassidy Mulligan and Newman one's gonna sail I believe that caught in we've a cop corner and they're gonna have a reserve but I believe that God corner coach Padovani really she knew it - she's rubbing her face she knew it only we had some replay Robert let's get on that we got a lot of money wily with the serve sent immediately back maybe was not ready for it so after the ACE that was taken off the board that should have been an ace from Wiley with Beverly up 21 16 gets taken off the board three serve results in a crimson point in its 2017 snow wiley for Cassidy that was a rocket she finds the hardwood 2117 lead for the Panthers Cassidy will serve now after getting credit for that kill Cassidy the jump serve nicely done off the Libero 22 17 Beverly looking the closest one out Cassidy getting credit for the last two Beverley points one kill one ace and other points for Beverly Romero couldn't handle it 23:17 Cassidy closing the door on the Everett crimson in this second set [Applause] [Music] [Applause] cassadee another one 24:17 gas city single-handedly finishing this one out for the panthers set point for the Panthers Cassidy can she close it out looks like he's gonna be returned by number 15 nice attack snow keeps it up Wiley it's gonna have to be sent over snow does play at the net one five Natalie Mulligan sends that one down as Beverley takes the second set 25 17 this one was neck and neck all the way up it's tied 4-4 then 5 5 all the way up to 14 14 until Beverly took a 1614 lead and didn't really look back as they close the door on the crimson in that second set may take it 25 17 after winning the first 25 15 Beverly up - says Sonam they'll try to close the door on the crimson for good on this third and hopefully final set will be back momentarily here at the Henry catalog Fieldhouse here watching Beth cam on channel 22 creativity is putting your imagination to work and it's produced the most extraordinary results in human culture [Music] dreams come from inspiration inspiration comes from an idea and ideas come from creativity we believe in raising up a new generation of creative minds and it all starts with you helped sponsor the award-winning Beverly High School meeting program so the students can have the resources they need to make dreams happen you [Music] [Applause] welcome back to the Henry Cabot Lodge field house here at Beverly High School I'm Alex Luca on channel 22 bringing you Beverly High School volleyball as they host the Everett Crimson Beverly cruising winning the first two sets 25 15 min 25 17 clearly the better team here tonight and I don't expect Everett to get more than 12 points here in this third set Beverly sends out Noonan Cassidy Mulligan McGarrigle snow and bearer will start the service here for the Panthers the sophomore her first action tonight a serving specialist for this Beverly team is that running jump sir from the right side and that one well off the mark usually exiting after a set or after a serve errors gonna stay in so Padovani getting her sophomore some extended playing time here in this third set I like that move and that one's gonna be sent out of bounds by average so it's one one as Ellis comes in for McGarrigle serving Whoopie cassadee cassadee was the one who ended that second set in dramatic fashion for the Panthers having a part in the team's final five points Cassie in my mind the best all-around player on this Beverley team both at the line at the net and her attacks on the outside and she proves it there with an ace [Applause] cassadee's still serving when sky-high it's gonna be sent over on the third attempt than it is cassadee's their bearer was set it up for snow in the middle lofts that one up attack from number 15 gets past the block attempt of mulligan point Everett [Applause] [Music] cassadee and snow getting a bit confusing Barry can send that one over the net to the crimson take a 3-2 lead their first lead in this third set serve bare sets it up for LSU lost that one hip-fire 3:3 Ellis ties it up as Sprague comes in for snow and Cassie will get a breather it's gonna be Ellie Brown junior getting her first action tonight mulligan will serve to give her team the lead in the third set [Applause] [Music] and he sent over actually that one sent almost under the neck for three leave fourth Panthers still serving his Mulligan [Music] [Applause] go to temp from the crimson is successful bear bumps it force break she sends it over attack from number fifteen [Applause] the barrel is gonna have to do something with a now nice attack they're getting passed round five four leave for the crimson his Mulligan is out and snow is in save number fifteen just hits the top of the net drops down back to Beverly and they regain the lead Noonan to serve now flicks Padovani and the Panthers hoping in this set doesn't continue like the second set did were we're just back and forth back and forth the whole time every would like to get something going a little earlier as Noonan gets the ACE there for the Panthers give routine a two-point lead in the third set [Applause] [Music] [Applause] sir from Newton just pass that for a corner [Applause] [Music] [Applause] sir from the crimson it's a short one Ellis is there kept up by Sprague has to be sent over difficult play by plows she can't get it done and we're tied at six here in the third set it was a very tough play there will drown the make [Applause] [Music] another serve from Everett this one for the lead Ellis couldn't handle it the great play by Noonan to keep it up and it sent over hits that top right next to the scoreboard but it'll believe the they gave the points ever so yes that must be out of bounds if you hit that divider up there so Everett lead 7-6 is that sails I pounds and Beverly get a chance to serve as Cassidy comes back in for brown [Applause] and McGarrigle comes in for Ellis McGarrigle will be the one to serve for the Panthers try to give them this lead and now we're knotted at 7 in the third set Beverly leading two sets to none so for McGarrigle sails out of bounds and this set unfolding much like the second set did a lot of back-and-forth serve first touch by snow than McGarrigle sent over by bare bears their Cassidy with the attack just hard 2 point lead now for Everett Beverly in danger of dropping a set here to the crimson a lot of efforts points this entire match have been on errors up the Panthers have committed as Cassidy she got that line oh they're gonna give it Everett thought that hit the line there 10 7 Everly just as I said an arrow for Beverly giving the Crimson a point as it goes back the other way as beverly comes with him too [Applause] snow to serve third temp forever sent over past the diving Cassidy another three-point lead for the prison we haven't seen any Gebhardt in this third set we haven't seen Wiley at all in this set as Beverley gets point usually see if coach Padovani keeps them on to the bench and elects to give McGarrigle and bear some more minutes even though Beverley could drop this third set serving again is Bearer she started this third set for the Panthers this one results in a Beverly Point first one remember was off the mark but that one was a beauty pass the diving attempt of an ever player Beverly back within one now [Applause] [Music] [Applause] serve from bear attack the number 15 sent right back by McGarrigle great play in an even better play by print the Crimson as they get it over into bearer sets it up from Oh again past the double block she keeps it up though good volley here the best one we've seen all game as it's kept up after attack attempts from Cassy number 15 again their first one there that one almost hitting the referee 12 to 10 crimson lead now as Everett wins that battle to the best volley we've seen all night snow bearer sets it up for Mulligan that one got in there 1211 mulligan credited with that kill as Ellis will come in from mcgarricle now Mulligan having herself a steady game here against the Crimson and serving will now be Tassie [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] cassadee with very good services here tonight for the Panthers see if she can string together another one cuz this one's gonna start off pretty well as it almost results in a penalty point and eventually results in a crimson point Cassidy out of position there she had to go back against her body trying to keep it up 13:11 lead for the crimson now snow keeps it in front of her has to send that over she can't his bear got that over tor in a weird position coach madam on e gonna call a timeout with the Crimson leading 14 of 11 and she can't be happy with T performance in this third set Beverley by far it's a better team here and I think I'm more upset because I said ever it wouldn't get more than 12 points and I'm almost never wrong just ask me I'll tell you I am never wrong mark lame is not in his head he knows Everett already out of their huddle coach Padovani taking a little more time it hasn't been Everett in this game it's been Beverly getting in their own heads the unforced errors the service areas the return air is attacking errors [Applause] everett wins this SABS not because they accepted it because Beverly let him handle [Applause] out there for the Panthers is Mulligan Noonan bear Ellis Cassidy and snow haven't seen Wiley this.set haven't seen Gebhardt since the first set Ellis sends it over set up attack from the Libero sent right back by Bearer awkward play here for the Crimson a lot of miscommunication and apparently it gets the point to Crimson players running - running into each other at two separate points in that return attempt as Cassidy exits and Brown enters [Applause] Mulligan to serve it's gonna be sent over on the third attempt that one at the ET celles out of bounds it does point Beverley go back to within one now [Applause] 1413 Beverly just needs to play a steady game and Everett will make their mistakes that's just the way if their team has played tonight while Beverly has to do is just play their game play steady let Everett make the mistakes and not doing as we're tied at 14 now [Applause] [Music] Mulligan's still serving nice therefore Mulligan parody takes the lead 1514 it was once 1411 but since early is not for straight where coach Padovani said in that huddle I would like a round break time at work so I could get through the rest of my day these girls were motivated sent over kept up nicely there by Mulligan she's had herself a heck of a third set [Music] [Applause] returned even if a got past bread was there for the block 1614 Beverley lead there looking a lot away with this one and send Everett home down three sets to none just need nine more points Mulligan's still serving five straight tallied from the Panthers they're looking for six now that's gonna be six and I believe Everett head coach John debase cells gonna call a timeout after his team was once in up 14 11 it's now 1714 in favor of the Panthers remember coach padawan he said in that huddle it worked in a lot of what I've been saying it's Everett that is letting Beverley make these mistakes and since that time out called by coach Mantovani it's been Everett making five crucial mistakes in a row to give Beverley a three-point lead here late in the third set [Applause] Beverly with five games left on their schedule after today the next you were going to be away at Lynn English on the 18th and at Winthrop on the 20th they'll be back home on the 24th the host Revere in 26th the host on the 26th the host will in class well that will be senior night for the Panthers they'll finish out the season on October 27th at Stoneham and hopefully we'll be seeing these Panthers in some playoff action right now they need to get through Everett we lead 1714 in the third set air for Sprague she'll send it over past the double block point Beverly Sprague playing sparingly in this third set but here when it counts give her team a four-point lead Mulligan's still serving in the second set it was Noonan that gave Beverly it long service for the lead and this one it's a mulligan attacked number 15 not a lot of power there is their Mulligan for noon and she sends it over to attack the number 15 now it had some power Barry couldn't get under it snow in from ole again now [Music] [Applause] 18:15 lead for the Panthers Brown kept it up and then it was known an imperative anthers pair are now serving it up for spray in the middle that one hits the net point turns in 8 to 16 lead for the Panthers still never explored twice in a row off of a couple Beverly errors served from a libero for such by the W Barrow snow Brown sends it over there Noonan cross-court to Alice she finds hardwood 1916 she's had a couple big kills here for the Panthers he's serving will be Noonan still haven't decided if one of her attacks are going to be called a noon bomb or a new shot I like Paul fat one however it's the hardwood and have to put out a Twitter poll for that a noon bomb or a noon shot both have a certain ringlets 1970 Beverly still leading Ellis sends it over almost returned by the Crimson a great play by number nine try to keep that up and send it over but Beverly will ultimately win the point they take the lead 2017 as McGarrigle and Cassidy come in for brown and Ellis Ellis couple fake kills here for the Panthers tonight McGarrigle coming in to serve for her [Applause] sir from the caravel returns on the crimson and sails a little wide Beverly enjoying the four point lead late in the third set McGarrigle looking to close it out early wins the first set 25-15 the second 25 17 definitely the better team here tonight have you expected this third set to be a little more dominated by Beverly but coach Madeline electing to sit wiley for the duration of this third set Sprague has seen limited action it was bare and brown who got some valuable minutes for this team to really see what they have to maybe extend this rotation she can never be too sure the three you're gonna have on and off the court with injuries and such as mcgarrigle's sort of hits the net [Applause] it's a good call here by coach battle on getting her younger more inexperienced players some minutes while ultimately hopefully winning the set as well so the best of both worlds that return that one sails wide point Beverly Mulligan's gonna come in for spray [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] returned by every literally just leaving two more points to close this one out Cassidy just drops it this time she gets a little more powerful will she have a third attempts you will and that one hits the ground so Cassidy couldn't get it on the first couldn't get it on the second like I said before third time's a charm 24:18 it's match point and snow for real vocal leader Ribeiro for this Beverly team will look to close it out her serve a line drive can it be sent over it is McGarrigle there sets it up for Mulligan trying to end it snow keeps it up bearer can't do anything with it it fins in are still alive it's 2419 [Applause] mogera since then immediately back immediately sent back by number 11 Rivera goes first day there shuts it up McGarrigle bumps it over great placement Peverley takes this third set 25 19 after taking the second 25 17 in the first 25 15 Beverly wins in three straight sets and defeats the Evert Crimson Beverly improving to nine and six on the season and as I said before they had five games left they travel to Lynn English on the 18th and to Winthrop on the 20th before they come home for two straight home games they host Revere on the twenty fourth game classical on the 26 that would be senior night here at Beverly high school they round out the season the next night the second of a back-to-back will be an away game aunt Stoneham and hopefully we see this Beverly team in the playoffs this rotation continues to get deeper not something we normally see from Padovani team but this is by far the most talented team she's had I believe in her career here as the head coach at Beverly high school you have wiley noon and mulligan Sprague leading the ante seen Blanc's Maddy casting one of the best all-around players I've seen in my five years doing this Brianna Snow a great leader great defensive specialist and really brings it all 110 percent of the time from varible coming in big in her limited minutes as well as bearer and even Ellen Brown continuing to improve and don't forget the addition of Mariana Ellis coming back and this team was good last year you add julia Gebhardt a transfer from Hamilton Wenham only saw her in the first set here tonight but she has played very well for this team all season long in this rotation of something to be very very excited about if you're Beverley Panther volleyball fan for mark layman on camera Robert Doakes the producer I'm Alex Alou Co for Bev cam on channel 22 thank you for watching and when a sheet we'll see you again soon [Music]

[Music] good good evening I'd like to call the regular meeting of the Brookfield Board of Education for Wednesday October 18 2017 to order please join me for rising for the Pledge of Allegiance thank you all for coming tonight and thank you all for listening in on the TV we have a rather brief agenda this evening we have six of our members of the board mr. shaker called me and tonight's also the best of Brookfield and he's over at that event and said he would get over he ended at 7:00 and he would get over here as quickly as he possibly could so so he expect he'll join us Midway so first up on our agenda is public comment I do believe we have one person signed up so mr. Jaffe I'll turn it to you name and address please button is now up you have to be say the Red Sox thing that for the audience that was good it only works once thank you for the opportunity and I will also preface this by saying that I did have this conversation with Harry earlier today and so he won't be missing my my words I want to talk to you about requests for spending and school construction I am concerned that this Board of Education has decided to go to the Board of Finance for $72,000 expense in case you don't know and I hope you do you you know what the state calls the school budget is an itemized estimate you have absolute authority over your budget you can move line items around you can do pretty much anything you want to that is much to the consternation of every Board of Finance in the state they like to have absolute control but it is your control you are a unique you are a separate board you set policy you set curriculum you said you set the agenda for for the schools in an issue like this you know and and frankly if you're going to the Board of Finance you can't go to the Board of Finance and ask them to give you money the Board of Finance has no authority by charter to institute spending they cannot initiate spending they can only respond if the Board of Selectmen brings them a request so you can't go and ask them to initiate spending if you want additional spending you got to go to the selectmen the slight wound by charter has to bring it to the board it's like for finance they can't reject it they can pass it on with a recommendation not to do it but they have to pass it on okay and where I comment on this is I even understanding where we are with the with the state reimbursements the fact of the matter is that that this spending I believe is something that everybody on the board has is absolutely critical you need to move forward on this and frankly a $72,000 expense in a 41 million dollar budget I know that every dollar is sacred it's a rounding error you need to tonight I believe let the community know that this is important enough for you to act and say we need to spend this money and ask the administration to come back at the next meeting and let you know the best way to deal with it this is a critically important thing I think for you to do I know frankly I also think that going to the Board of Finance and asking them empowers the Board of Finance to continue to think that they have authority that they really don't have but would like to have so I would encourage you to really consider tonight doing what you think is the right thing and I hope you think the right thing is moving forward on your own with the spending for the architect so we can move forward on the school project you have the power the people in the town need to see you actually acting in the interest of the students to do that the other thing I want to talk about just briefly because we all know that there are a lot of capital issues coming before the town there's a lot of misinformation there's a lot of armwrestling about what's what's going first what our priorities my position has always been that with sound planning it's not a question of if but when and we should be able to do everything that's important to the town these are important investments whether it's the library or whether it's the schools or whether it's the you know the police department or frankly even whether it's roads but in terms of where the the school is going you know I understand that you're looking at everything I understand that we're looking at all the buildings and looking where we're going to be going down the road that's a good thing I've also heard that one of the options that may be considered is a consolidation of grades so that we may have a more traditional elementary school K through five here's here's where I come in on this and people who know me know that I am an incredibly strong supporter of school of school programs and budgets okay let's talk just fiscal reality for a moment or two and for those of you who are surprised to hear me talking these terms I really need to look at the numbers okay the the maximum we can get today and this is what's on the books today and I confirmed this with Steve a while ago and it can only well only get worse if the state decides to do anything but what's on the books today is that for a renovation of an existing building you can get up to 32% back for a new construction you can get a maximum of 22 percent back that's a huge difference and let's just pick some numbers out of the air that aren't yeah I know that nothing's nothing's real but let's just take some numbers so we can have a frame of reference a renovation of Huckleberry would cost let's say thirty million dollars okay we can argue whether that's lower high but let's just pick a number for sake of discussion and the max you're going to get back on that is 32% now we're talking roughly a 20 million dollar cash investment for the town bonded but cash okay when we looked at doing the high school renovation 18 20 years ago people were talking at that time about why don't we do a new building you know this was originally built as a middle school a lot of work needed to be done you know wouldn't it be better just to build something from the ground up well back then you know the estimates for a brand-new building for a high school were in the 80 to 100 million dollar range depending on what we wanted to do that doesn't count property okay and whether that's an accurate number or not I don't know but let's let's take an eighty million dollar you know figure right now for a new building with a 10% you know 20% reimbursement rate from the state as a Max and and just in terms of reimbursement rates when we did the high school renovation at the time the numbers were the same we could have gotten a max of I'll close it we could we got it we could have gotten a max of 32% our architects told us there's no way you can do that they they said you can probably get 29 30 but we went out and we told the town less than that I think we told them 26 27 percent because we wanted to be conservative with the town but having said that let's say an 80 million dollar project with 20% 20% reimbursement rate now you're talking about around 70 million dollars for the for the town to spend huge difference and the question I would ask is not would it be nice but what the question that I would ask of the administration is in terms of educational outcomes knowing that we have an excellent school system right now with excellent outcomes can we cost justify the additional cost if that's the proposal you're going to bring forward to me that's a hard sell in this town and so the reason I bring this up and I appreciate you indulging me for a couple extra minutes the reason I bring it up is that if you're going to go forward with an architect you want them to focus on coming back with some reality so thank you for the time and just things to consider I just want to clarify one comment the Board of Education did not go to the Board of Finance and asked them for this money we brought it up in context of the cuts that were coming along so your point is taken on this boats up to this board to decide whether to take action or not but we have a anvil sitting over our head of massive cuts and we've actually that if you actually go look at the Board of Finance meeting it was to update them in the context of where were they planning what was a solution in terms of doing it they offered in fact the town controller offered to go back and look at the capital funds and informed us that if they could find a way to get some money which would be nice they would run it through the Board of Selectmen as you said I do agree with you that it's up to this board to decide to initiate the funding this is our decision more than anything so we need to we need to move on but the problem with a million for two million maybe more hanging over our heads is it makes it very difficult to act unless we have absolute partnership and agreement with the three boards so that's the nature of the beast we're in right now okay so any other public comment from those who have joined us since okay Dan Berryman you're up next with an update front as our student representative go Yankees but the evening session will be October 25th from 5 to 7 p.m.

Belden um before I get into my update which does have a point on an update on the economic a ssin cost sharing situation in state budget like turn over to mr. Harding Thanksgiving I think Supercenter burrow our dr. burrow yes thank you very much you know it's so funny I just looked I saw out of the corner of my eye as I was wanting to address you so just an update from my my perspective is there seems to be a closed agreement now between both sides of the aisle and getting something done which should have been done six months ago and we're gonna meet tomorrow in caucuses tomorrow morning about this possible agreement so at that point I'll have much more of an idea of what we're dealing with regards to municipal funding regards to teacher pensions shift one thing that Collette and I were talking about at the beginning of the meeting was that this seems to be a teacher pension shift for good reason fortunately seems to be off the table now in this possible agreement so at that time I think what I'll do is I'll give you a call sure more afternoon once I have the numbers and everything else and you can let the rest of the board know okay where we are but it seems like we're getting there okay which is which is great and really quickly I think this is my second look the last board meeting up so you know with we're on this topic I really have been saying this for the last couple board meetings it really would be a good idea to appoint somebody as a legislative or liaison is it really alright great because I think this is something that in future years when I'm not here good point to Collette and say give me an update all right thank you thanks Steve so a couple of things you know speaking of Dan's update about the high school I saw a lot of Christmas jammies today as part of the celebration which was I thought was pajama day there was so many was great kids look very comfortable and cozy so it was nice um mr.

post and I actually were there and we had mr. bland that was serving lunch to the students and so we partook in the Stromboli that was being served and it was outstanding I must say me the chicken parm is always good so the high school doing a great job up there in the cafeteria um a couple of things to let you know about with it being election season I've actually extended an invitation to the Board of Education candidates and have had individual meetings with almost all of them at this point two of them are here okay great meeting so I appreciate everybody's time that's been going on we are looking at the community unit that these second graders are doing and the kids have been visiting Town Hall and seeing the clerk's office and the first elections office and they stopped in to TSO into the central office and so I have a chance to talk to the students and talk about what we do and 100 Pocono rows so it's been a tremendous visits with the kids they ask for all kinds of great questions but I'll leave those for another story the winter weather hard to believe it's been so beautiful but the winter weather I send out a traditional weather update letter letting everybody know kind of a process for how we delay or cancel school and where to tune into and what to expect setting up emergency plans and those kind of things as reminders for parents so that's recently gone out and then we're working on a couple of things in terms of celebrating the student voice and getting input from students I'm going to be working with both mr.
