alex okay i got it alex adamo's 17 we got enzo sunny three luke 5. yeah sonny just got all the players sorted out now yeah and the domino just gave it to covia and kicked back in by i want to say that sweet sweeney sweeney sweetie as the where's waldo socks whose ball is that i would assume that's our surprise that's our ball because considering colin is 25 some odd yards out of the net and he's still allowed to touch the other guy as brunel tries to touch it to mazza what's mazda does get possession oh well you did okay misinterpretation luke mazza oh yeah i have to use first names now not necessarily and wait how is that our ball because brennan it was a touch you cannot touch but i feel like we i don't know there is no touching allowed looks like stevens is ready to check in and then jacob the shadow you should know this brennan we just played baseball with him for three months oh my goodness i can't tell who people are by the back of their heads and um in case you are looking for a part-time community service opportunity color commentator for the slang meadow high school athletics um definitely up for grabs with brennan mclaughlin just having a minimal iq of what is happening okay soccer is not my forte so we're gonna stick to that yep steal my word see once again learning new things you know what brennan actually good for you no i'm glad you learned it no i learned forte because i i i was concerned that matt forte in the nfl had the same last name as that word so i was really concerned it was such an interesting way to connect the dots well you didn't let me finish my story because jim nance made a very corny joke no touching that's long metal ball yeah but the fact is what those are ball but we touched them that seems fishy and we're going to get another whistle nine and a half minutes ago oh in quarter number three longmeadow with a one nothing lead if you're just tuning in devin dobeck alongside brennan mclaughlin and jamie rook behind the camera they make a shot at me saying thank god i'm not on the camera again i don't think i need to you just did well as a domo could not get control of that ball well i would say that was a little of his reach but potato potato should i just not speak i think that would be best for everyone for the viewers at home we hope you're enjoying our broadcast we're trying to stay entertained here as much as i love soccer um and that's a little ball and wow those are some wheels that looks like oh that was you cannot that's touching you cannot do that and so that would be enzo thank you enzo for selecting number 11 because that makes my word what are those called word um oh this is going to drive me nuts word not association um alliteration no absolutely not absolutely not well alliteration's a sentence with every word starting with the same letter and that no yes it is 11 enzo is not a sentence and it's only two words i think it's gonna be three or more to be considered a little reason okay i wasn't saying that was one i was just giving you the definition of what alliteration was so i don't know if that made sense um please comment on facebook if that made sense because it does not seem like it made sense yeah we're live aren't we um brennan smell the coffee brennan i had a coffee before i came here fun fact you don't say yeah because on the golf course it kind of drained me today that's the one thing i'm good at you know well a lot more just made a shifty move that was a touch that was a touch wow no call on the touch there and longmeadow it goes out i believe it'll [Music] long metal ball i think i mean would that be considered an accidental touch so they don't blow all touches are illegal well that one except air touches those are the only illegal ones or legal ones rather well you're not touching anything while you are touching air and i'm just gonna stop speaking and now i believe that's sonny mazza yup got it he can't work it too for shadow why are you saying what do you think it is it's push shadow um debatable if you are related to the shadow family please tell if it's a shadow or pus shadow i'm pretty sure it's far shadow how would it be shadow it's pa there's a ph i'm pretty sure it's for shadow but i don't know sounds like you're saying it with an i'm gonna just go on a limb here and say i'm right because 99 of the time i am but for some reason it is plus shadow oh i'm going off what i'm pretty sure it's for shadow how there's no ph there's no f and we're back the spartans evans plays it up ahead and that is oh god i can't see that far i'm going to go with guyer yeah that'd be a safe guess evans plays it in takes a redirection and spartan trying to get some pressure here 550 to go in quarter three i want nothing lancers sorry to break it to you but i was stevens i was just testing you well i just looked at the bench and i saw johnny guy are staring into my soul along with dante bates oh and now that's got to be evans and he miscommunication there that won't be good i feel like he got a shoot in that situation and cacovia plays back for sweeney oh sweeney gets it over mckechnie mckechnie kind of he'll just end up playing it back for walt sack boom [Music] plays it all the way outside to stevens now gamora's nope and shadow yep ahead and sunny is that a touching call probably when in doubt it's a touch call and sweeney just defended the guy on the bench sweeney let's let's look live out there he's i think he thought that that kid was in his socks remind me of where's waldo or is that just me wait really i'm sorry i don't think people heard you the first time did i actually say that before okay and so we have i believe that's enzo because he's 11.

there you can do skill building conditioning and training but not games or competitions that's not permitted at this time the skill building and conditioning does need to take place outside the protocol does stipulate measures to ensure safety of the students and the coaches and we have been meeting with the high school principals and the athletic directors to review the requirements of the protocol as we prepare and then the last update is that as we continually look to improve uh the way that we serve our students and our families we recognize that we are looking at how we use data to address our continuous cycle of improvement and so we have uh looked at different opportunities for surveys and data collection and we have met with an organization called youth truth and this is a national nonprofit organization that offers a survey instrument that is validated and it does capture students staff and parent perceptions and it helps schools to determine strengths and areas for improvement in lots of different areas such as student engagement academic challenge relationships belonging culture mental health college and career readiness and in addition to these topics the survey data does include topics on diversity equity and inclusion and all of these things do support our focus in addressing systemic racism and so they do there are other services that they offer as well and so in conversations with them and other school districts that have uh used their services they also offer workshops and advisory services for staff as well as for students as a means to examine evaluate and respond to data and so um just want to give you an update on that that we have been looking into that and then we look forward to investigating more on that and and bringing you information on this organization thank you thank you we have a question from board member rodriguez pena yes i just like a clarification regarding the sports can you give me an example of the training and skill building what exactly this sure what does that look like sure so um so uh when uh athletes are preparing they can do exercises um they can do training um so maybe they are um they're doing jumping jacks or they are doing push-ups or tennis that's another example they can play tennis because that's not something um that's more of an individual um activity so they just can't participate in um in a game situation so in terms of when they're preparing and training for a sport so exercise is is pretty much what that means and they would have to be um physically distance i think it's somewhere six to eight feet apart while they're participating in uh in exercise to train uh for their sports and and what is the um capacity how many students can um be in this and sports is it and it's also after school correct yes it is after school um and i will um i i'll look at the protocol to see and provide that information for you um i'm off hand i don't i can't recall exactly what the capacity is i'm not sure thank you you're welcome all right and for the business team i'm happy to announce as we shared before that we have incorporated an additional serving day on wednesday so we are happy that we can offer another serving option for parents and students to receive five meals we also received a green light to reserve meals for weekends and holidays so that means during our serving time our um parents and families are receiving seven meals um when they pick up so it's i mean it touch your heart when you realize for some people this is their only meal and now instead of just saying oh my god what are they doing during the weekend we're able to meet that need and we also can meet the need for the holidays as well um also as i shared before we're still working on our classroom setups i'm happy that we were able to collaborate and work successfully to get everything set up for thing together because that's meeting the needs of our family as well and we have recently looked into ordering additional um senator sanitization systems like the system where you can literally spray a room and in 30 seconds is disinfected and everything dries we don't have to move things around so we're trying to find ways that we can clean um more quickly and efficiently at the same time thank you okay do we have i see one hand raised uh board member rodriguez pena you're muted i'm sorry i i didn't put my hand down i'll do that now thank you okay just making sure i i actually had a question um about the meals since now uh one of them there's an uh an additional uh day so before the parent you know the parents were coming and receiving um the meals for the meals in one day so are they able to come for the two days or do they just come once a week each family can come to any serving time that we have they're taking no scantron we're literally speaking the needs of our community if a family needs a meal they come through our grab and go model and we provide them a meal okay so just just to be clear before they could only come either in the morning or in the afternoon they couldn't come at two times so what you're what you're sharing now is that if they need a meal they will not be denied exactly okay thank you for the clarification thank you well i'm sorry was there another question no okay good um so i will move on uh with uh my cobin 19 uh update um we are in los angeles county and currently under the los angeles department of public health um right now no schools in the county are allowed to open um that has not changed that stance has not changed but there are four exceptions to that ruling or to that order uh which makes things a little bit uh confusing maybe uh so i just want to kind of talk a little bit about those four exceptions um so that we can kind of walk through those so exception number one even though schools are closed and even though you are not allowed to open if you are a particip if you are a recipient of an asus or 21st century grant applic uh program you are allowed to bring that program back you heard dr mitchell talk about being together in azusa unified school district that is our program in this exception number one so as dr mitchell said uh students are back on campus uh limited capacity uh following protocols uh and we were able to see that uh in action uh and so it was nice to see uh students back that program is not currently at full capacity uh so dr mitchell and their team and think together and their team are working on a a process of reaching out and uh inviting uh students to be in that so that's exception number one um so again if you're if we're driving down the street and we look into our campus and we see kids it's not that we're open is that we have this exception number one you also heard dr mitchell speak about exception number two uh and that is around sports and uh that excludes games uh no competition uh between schools no competition between even groups this is about skill building and uh conditioning so that is exception number two and as you heard dr mitchell we are working um with staff to ensure that there is a pathway for us uh to be able to bring and offer that opportunity to our students exception number three uh which is probably the the um the most confusing of all is an exception for students with ieps and or english language learners for specialized services that one uh does come with a cap uh each school site is not allowed to bring more than 10 percent of the school site population uh so if we have a school of 300 students for this exception number three does not count towards one or two just number three so sports doesn't count think together doesn't count um 10 that means 30 students 30 students that have an iep uh and or our english language learners uh can be allowed to bring uh be brought back for specialized um so with that um as well uh we are working uh diligently uh through that process uh to get us to a point to be able to offer uh that uh uh to our that support uh to our students uh as well and then a new exception uh has just been made uh available and that is a waiver to bring back tk through second grade students um this one is not fully fleshed out uh yet we did participate in a phone call uh today and the only thing we know right now uh is that they are saying that they will it's an it's an application it's a waiver that you submit and they are saying that they are going to be approving 30 schools per week not 30 districts but 30 schools they also say and have been saying that those 30 schools are going to be evenly distributed that's the that's the term that they are using uh amongst the supervisoral uh districts so meaning um that if if we take them literally that means that it would be six schools per district uh not school district a supervisor uh district um they are also saying that there is going to be a kind of a rank on these schools so it's not like first come first serve but rather looking at um the the demographics and the need of those particular school sites that they would be approving these waivers for so not much has been released on this this fourth exception uh we continue to have meetings with them on a weekly basis uh but that is that is what we know um that is what we know right now uh board member audience you had a question yes um i just wanted clarification when when you mean um six supervisor districts so does that mean um what does that look like is it just is it uh uh you know la county uh valley county san bernardino county or can you please explain that to us yes uh no this is just for los angeles county and so this is for uh our supervisors so our our main supervisor uh in our district would be hilda solis um although i believe it's um gladstone high school and maybe arlington might be in supervisor barger's um uh district um so so it's though it's it's the board of supervisors or the board of supervisors got it correct for la county all right yes board member chris gonzalez yeah i'm just a little confused by you saying that there's no information about waivers when i mean the state released the pro the waiver application and process i mean i understand we have local county there's going to be county guidelines but i mean the waiver's been out for a very long time other other counties have been opening up using waivers for quite a while now so that that statement confuses me a little bit um but i think knowing that we can now apply for waivers starting on october 1st and knowing that our schools would probably be very high priority because of our our student makeup i'm just i just want to know where we are in terms of looking looking at all those pieces so one like what's the timeline for us to be able to bring back english learners and special ed students for for for specialized services what is that timeline what is the timeline are we looking at for the to be able to bring students back for sports and then finally what is the timeline for us to um to to be able to submit a waiver to bring some students back for for instruction thank you um yeah let me clarify uh for sure the waiver the waiver program was made available by governor newsom several weeks maybe even a month ago but when it originally when that was originally made available la county department of public health came out and said we will be issuing no waivers we are not participating in the waiver program they since have amended that stance and are now us now are saying that they will take waivers for tk2 they have said that that will be available early october um and we will definitely double check again but as of yesterday that we that waiver was still not available uh in the county uh all they kept saying was early early october um we do have a meeting um on thursday uh so hopefully we uh get more information uh about that at that particular uh time so i guess i guess my i guess my confusion arturo is that um i i understand that there may not be like an ali specific application but we do know that the for example i'll just use labels for an example but you could use the same same scenario for opening for hybrid instruction we do know that it's coming down the line in our district we knew that at some point we'll be able to open get get waivers and open up for elementary schools we know that at some point i know like districts like long beach are are are saying that they think they're going to come back to hybrid instruction in january so that's gonna happen so i mean my my i guess my not understanding is we know that these opportunities are are coming down the pike right so what are we doing in terms of planning so that once for example the waiver is now available we're in a position to be able to to apply and be able to take opportunities and be able to bring kids back i really appreciate that that adrian a couple weeks ago said we really need to think about these youngest kids right you know that that really zoom is not the right way for them to be in for them for instruction and so what i'm saying is i i would hope that we as a district would be future mapping and future planning so that when these opportunities came up become available we can jump on them um as opposed to saying we're going to wait until an application comes out from l.a county and then we're going to start planning and discussing right i think to me that's not a proactive approach got it no thank you for that clarity on that on that question um yeah so in terms of uh the planning um we started off uh looking at the guidelines uh protocols from los angeles county department of public health um and we have started to work on those you heard uh from latasha jabal today in terms of the physical aspect the nutrition the ppe um and so we're working through those originally um we were meeting every other week we have wrapped that up to weekly internally we are meeting more often than that to get through to get through those uh to ensure that every t uh is crossed and every eye is dotted we have uh enlisted uh the feedback from laco they have been very gracious and have been very um quick on responding to us uh in terms of any questions or any clarifications that we have in terms of that protocol and so we are working quickly to that uh to get to a point for the sports for the students with ieps and english learners and definitely for the waiver but in terms of a a timeline right now um i don't we don't have a specific uh timeline uh but we're looking to be able to do that as quickly as possible so not even special ed and english learners correct how do you intend to assess your english learners by the end of this end of october then we don't have a timeline for bringing them back for for assessment we definitely have we definitely have the intent to to do that i just don't have a like a specific date to be able to say by this date but that is our intent for sure but i i guess what i'm not even hearing is like we think it's a week away we think it's about a month away we think it's about two months away i'm like i'm not even i'm not even hearing that part we definitely we definitely think that it's this month or describing the challenge with putting with with attaching a uh a harder timeline to that i wonder is it possible to um what would it look like to provide some sort of progress report where if we're if we were able to see that these are the benchmarks that are that are needing to be met and this is where we are with each of those benchmarks with with um like expected timelines on those benchmarks i don't know how extensive that that would be but to have something like that helps us to see um if we even if we were able to get that um you know over the course of the next couple weeks to see where things are progressing and where things are are not progressing so that we so that there is uh even if we can't attach a date now we can at least monitor the progression is that something that is feasible so i i just adrian i just feel very differently i feel like we as a board at this point need to set out some dates and saying we expect by next friday to have a timeline and i mean i would even say like so i'll just give you the example right so all of our english learners that have entered our district for the first time this year newcomers um young students are supposed to be assessed for their language assessment they gave us 45 day window extension so normally 30 days so they have to be tested in the first 75 days that that is that and the end the little ones have to come into school so that has to happen before the end of october right and so i i'm just i'm just not sure how we can comply with with with with this requirement if we're not going to be able if we're saying at that point we're not going to have anybody coming in person can i suggest that maybe those two that what i'm saying and what you're saying shielding are not necessarily mutually exclusive in that yes let's set it so if there already is a deadline that's set that is asking for the end of october for these assessments to take place can we set that target and uh can we also because there are other subgroups as you described like the four categories of exceptions or and waivers can we also see where we are and get updates on on uh progress that's needing to be made as well as progress that has so far that has been made with those other areas so so i think i guess what i'm suggesting is that we do both end as opposed to one or the other i mean i think that's fine i just i want to see an implementation plan with dates associated with which i understand can be i mean can be changed right it doesn't have to i mean obviously things happen but i think i mean i think i appreciate that there's that that the committee's been meeting now for several months and i think at some point we have to make some decisions so that we're able to take advantage of the opportunities um because our neighboring districts are starting to do it right they're starting to do that um and i i does our students deserve the same opportunities perfect have the last uh report out so the hr office continues to work with the site and district administrators along with bargaining unit leaders in response to kova 19 matters this work is taking place at the bargain union table work with individual employees and we continue to refine our processes as it applies to screening and reporting that information so that it's accessible it's easy and accessible for employees i actually have a question um hurry ron keyo you're saying that you're implementing this with the administration um and so but what does that look like so um for processes involving the administration so every day we do have an expectation and it's written in tour and we use that employees that are going to be coming onto school sites that they do a health screening to see if they have any symptoms related to kovid and also to report whether they had any contact with somebody who has symptoms is a confirmed positive um and so if they report in the affirmative to any of those questions then the employee is directed to state to stay at home that information is funneled through the administrators and then that information is sent to hr so that's happening on multiple levels at the site level and then at the district level uh each of the directors are asking their direct reports to do a similar uh process and then all the way up to the superintendent um i submit mine every morning um to to mr ortega as part of my screening so we're all reporting out in this similar fashion uh but what we also are doing is we're listening to our employees that as they're expressing um just either questions or concerns regarding this process we're continuing to refine our processes thank you i have another question with special education um 20 needs to be tested over every 30 days what does that look like are we meeting are we accomplishing that are we out of compliance yes we're as a that was part of what we were talking about in the earlier section with regards to the testing of students and so we are aware of this mandate and this mandate is something that we're working to begin the implementation of of our testing we one of the components to to starting this process is the uh process of making sure that we are negotiating with our bargaining unit unit leaders any area that will affect working conditions uh particularly safety um so so we're at the bargaining table uh with our with our employees to ensure that we are addressing those particular concerns um and moving forward in that direction can can we before we just in case we're we're going to be moving on uh now after this can we circle back around to i know when we were talking to you and i was i was sharing a potential pathway forward and sheila nima was sharing a potential pathway forward can can we maybe land and have more clarity on on what what to expect moving moving forward yeah we can definitely submit a what i heard you say a progress report so we can submit a a draft as early as this week and then just keep updating that on a continual basis and as far as um you know so as far so so that's one piece and that helps us to see progress and i know you said it's difficult to attach timelines but uh back to sheila neen's point where they're you know where there are deadlines that that we have to to assess otherwise we would be out of compliance um when you said you believed this this week or are we saying that we where where are we there what what can we speak to as far as time and remaining complaints in regards to assessments correct again i think that it's hard to put a uh a date uh on it and there's a lot of moving parts um for instance um the waiver program um it's not just a it's not just an application right there's a lot of pieces that come together that will have to come together with that with that uh waiver part of that are letters from parent groups in support letters from bargaining members and so we we are making headway we are definitely we we feel just like you feel uh the necessity to uh to to move uh to get this done uh to get our students uh back on campus not just for the assessments uh but the other things that we've talked about today uh the the conditioning uh the the skill building uh the specialized services uh the tk2 um and so um i think that what i what i interpreted was not just a progress report but like a like a timeline that that had all of these moving parts so uh alpac uh twenty percent um uh a ma of every 30 days and so kind of give you a visual and kind of let you know where we are on those on those particular pieces and again like you know here we are here knowing that right here we're about to hit a major milestone um and kind of provide that kind of a big picture with with not just our progress but the timelines as well just so just to clarify when you say um when you say that the waiver process requires letters from um you said labor partners requires letters from uh community parents are you saying that that is the same case for specifically assessments first for special ed and ela no so so i guess my um i i it sounds to me like we you know let's let's let's begin that work and that would be helpful to have the uh the progress report and the timeline and all that for for some of those other waivers but i guess what i'm asking since since there's a closer deadline for the ela and special ed assessments can we can you know what does it look like to it to it to attach a timeline so as to remain in compliance with that specific area alone as an initial step yep so what i'm hearing is instead of like a like an overcompensating what we can do is break it out maybe on the three on the three uh different ones so do that for assessment do that for sports and then do that for waiver and i would i mean i would add the hybrid and start the hybrid piece too right because if that's not if that's not part of our current agreements that has to be that that's going to have to be um negotiate or dealt with it at some point right but the only thing that i'm wanting to separate out is the fact that for the the fact that for our um hybrid instruction though you know there there there are not assessment deadlines attached to remaining compliance for i'm just saying if we're going to talk about four but the buckets let's i'm not saying that we need to have it i'm saying that's probably the that's obviously that's the last priority but i'm just saying let's include that one too not just the other three yeah we have a hand up um board member rodriguez pena yes my question was regarding the students especially and ald students are they still being assessed and having ieps on regular basis so we can um during the covert 19 so we can still monitor their progress or if they need extra assistance or are they still um doing that i believe erin is in the um room is aaron here cause she speak to the special education population yeah i believe these students um of special needs and and elds that you know they should be monitored and not be forgotten um during these pandemics i think it's even harder um for them having to work from home so i really think we need to um be sure that they are tested and assessed continuously because i know i know the ieps have to be then 30 days or if you know um a certain a certain amount of time right so is it being done do we have aaron cramer i am here can you hear me now we could hear you okay good i wasn't sure sorry about that good evening everybody um so um i'll answer a couple of the questions that have been put out to start um ms rodriguez pena yes our um special ed staff and teams have been doing a really good job at providing services for students virtually anything from occupational therapy to their specialized academic instruction we have held our annual ieps within our regular timelines virtually with families and teachers and principals and staff members to support progress monitoring so when we look at progress on goals we have been holding our ieps to support our students and ensure that they're accessing appropriately and that we are doing what we can to the best of our ability in this circumstance to ensure that they're accessing their their program assessment has been very challenging we have not been able to provide regular assessment as we typically would um since we closed in march as mr ronkeyo and mr ortega shared we have been working very hard with cabinet with our bargaining units with teachers and staff members to identify how we can safely start assessment processes when we are ready we have all of our records and we are ready to identify a process to make sure that we're hitting that 20 percent mark and um assessing students as efficiently and appropriately as possible moving forward thank you aaron of course thank you here we have um anyone else that has questions or concerns and do we have any more um information about copen19 update nope okay we'll go ahead and move to 9.2 red ribbon week resolution number 20-21 15.

yeah but 400 000 we were already accounting for so we basically only have an additional 400 uh which we're going to need with the loss of adm right so so that actually ended up being a good team was the was the 400 000 that we were accounting for for textbooks no that's we accounted for that in our mno as carryover for this fiscal year also it's an additional 400 thousand two times additional that we can now account for with our december budget revision okay one one thing that i wanted to mention uh point out that i went over with penny is there's a page in here uh one on one that talks about one of one that talks about food service and the food service the number of meals that we serve and i wanted to grab that because it's pretty impressive how many food service meals so we fed we did 303 almost 304 000 breakfasts 242 000 lunches and the these are um under a la carte it's uh it talks about the number of meals but it's kind of an equivalent to what a meal would be so it's like almost 8 000 equivalent meals and we did over 19 000 snacks so if you add them all up we did almost are well over 550 000 meals is what we served last year now would have been from july 1 to june 30th so it doesn't include this summer which was pretty i think we did a pretty good job this summer because they were free meals but those meals that we did from that does include those meals that we did in march april may and june of last year when a lot of the meals were free but we're serving over half a million meals or we did last year any other questions this is an action item could someone please make the motion for the approval of the 1920s [Music] all in favor um item 9b schedule for in-person instruction mr schull so this you know you you heard from a lot of people and and i had a chance to meet with i think eight parents yesterday morning um and what i heard from them is you know a lot of struggles and and i understand that um and i wanted to i have some i told them that if they would email me that i would read um you the email and some of them are along so i'm going to kind of paraphrase i can't i just don't want to read it all because i think um we would kind of lose some people but there's some things that i want to just read this is from kenzie ditko i am writing a response in regards to our meeting today about in-person learning i have three boys ages 8 10 and 13 so third fifth and eighth grades online schooling was terrible the hybrid schedule is just as bad my kids aren't learning anything and their grades show it the virus isn't going anywhere are we going to keep these kids out of school forever please take a poll of parents i can almost guarantee that the majority will want to ignore the benchmarks and send our kids to school full-time they need their children that they need their teachers in interaction with their friends we feel as though we are failing our children i know you are concerned for the kids safety and while i appreciate that let us parents decide if it's safe for our kids to come to school please we encourage you to change your mind and send the kids back to school full-time in person learning thank you for your time this one is from ali dafoe and um it's three pages but she has six points that i just want to kind of read that kind of summarize what she wanted to share i believe number one teachers don't have experience with online instruction and some of the videos that are supposed to be teaching my daughter complicated math are almost useless i hope you can access this video to see what i mean teachers are depending on outside source this is number two teachers are dependent on outside sources to grade work and tests and the grades are not accurate i am attaching an example sent to the same math teacher to which i have yet to receive this response once they complete and submit an online assignment to date they have all been online it's it is gone and irretrievable we don't know which question she got wrong or what we need to review i've noticed the mcgraw math site requires a specific answer format to give credit for a correct answer but we don't know what these formats are in order to do it right i'm not complaining because my daughter has a bmf but i think she should get the grade she's earned and i sincerely don't think that this is happening i summarized that a little bit or shortened it number three um we are not getting good online instruction i've seen ridiculously short instructional videos that are very little help offered more times than i care to admit to that end if i can if i have to search other online instructions to teach my child why am i struggling with and wasting time on cbs cb usd content in hopes that one day it will be better well in the meantime my daughter falls further and further behind in a cumulative learning subject such as math and before they missed an entire quarter of instruction and it was up it was just let go i thought for certain some sort of review would be offered to help them transition from being out of school for so long number five it is detrimental to parent child relationships when we have to fight and beg our kids to do homework especially um when the above disadvantages are added to the mix number six google classroom appears to have some hiccups and we are depending on it as our online education platform we got told we didn't check into classes when we and when we look the attendance marker is there we do an assignment and it disappears so we have to do it again or lose credit so some some frustration there and the last one that i want to read from a parent a very long email just kind of summarizing i'm writing and this was from lucy felton i'm writing to this email today to express to you why i feel that opening schools would be the best interest of our students and some concerns i have i have three kids one on each campus the rio heritage and china valley high school i realize the importance of urgency the concern is over the current situation in the pandemic that we are going through however this virus has an extremely high recovery rate and the death toll is extremely low that being said i just feel that our students are suffering in many other ways then with the virus itself i'm going to skip ahead no matter what we can't run from this virus we have to face it head-on we have to keep doing the things that we have been doing and stop being so scared look at other places that have gone about life normally they're doing very well we need to start putting our kids first and keep their minds learning i allowed my three kids to or my kids to choose how they wanted to start the school year off so i have one doing hybrid and two that are that stayed home all three are not doing well this year then before when the school full-time started and then last i would have this is um we heard from uh miss rosscock earlier this is actually from her daughter that i wanted to just kind of read and it's a letter and this is just the last paragraph overall i want to go back to school full-time because i do not like online i kind of like hybrid and i have goals for next quarter i want life to go back to normal i want to go back to school full-time so that's from from bella so um i promised to read these so i wanted to kind of fulfill that um the i shared and i understand that people are they want to get back i want and i've been saying this from the beginning students he knows valley students learn better in school and chino valley teachers teach better when the kids are in school i understand that the arizona department of health services gave us these recommended benchmarks to utilize to use as guides to determine when it's safe for kids to go back to school over the weekend there were 27 cases in yavapai county for that's three days so an average of nine per day of those 27 cases 25 of them were in the quad city area the i gave you information about the number of cases and those are cases that already been determined they're saying that we should have 10 cases per hundred thousand when kids should be coming back full-time instruction with that population of about 233 thousand residents in yampa county that means that we should have 23 cases in a week and as i mentioned to you on the floor on the data this the week of the 27th which was last week which is the last full week that we have there were 66 cases when they're recommending that we'd be down to 23.

that would be correct it's got to be short for vincenzo oh no no i'm gonna be all screwed up again because it doesn't start with an e well they're just gonna stick to enzo well they're brothers that we call him gus but his name is agustino so i don't i would assume it seems nintendo but i wouldn't know that sounds pretty italian well because i know sonny's name is actually santino what mind blown because i tried to pick him in nintendo i had to pick their younger brother instead shout out to gus is gus on the sideline he's gotta be no does he play soccer um beats me someone's car alarm is going off please don't be mine actually someone broke into my car they'd probably be doing me a favor i could use a new car so i'm pretty sure my my glove box just broke or not my glove box my console just like snapped into three pieces yeah it's okay can you explain to me what's going on on the hood of your car my car has a little dandruff it's okay he's a little self-conscious about it so if you could just leave him out of it he would really appreciate it what's his name well you just said you wanted a new car so you gotta throw him under the bus yeah because he just needs to be put to rest but he doesn't need you to like mimic him he knows he's very insecure about it brennan but yes he has a little paint chipping and by a little i mean a lot and by a lot i mean almost every stroke of paint from the paintbrush is off the car oh fred with a nice move oh he walks in great defense from mckechnie sonny mazzle will hop in on the action he's trying to switch does a little thing there to foshetto for shadow turns it over longmeadow it's cut off by enzo mazza oh and oh god oh oh that's a touch nope that was a kick in the shin or in the back of the leg that's not legal and ball goes through rental will get some action yeah he hasn't seen a lot and he schboots it away and cacovia can't gain possession for shadow jumps in to cover yeah sweeney with a little touch and we're gonna get a whistle 115 to go quarter number three spartans trail the lancers one to nothing [Music] and number six for llamas heated that i didn't get that ball oh there's an injury that's luke mazza he's slow to get up and waltzak just inhales that soccer ball but mazza visibly in pain well he seems to be a little better now okay okay well he's hobbling i stand corrected uh per usual 30 seconds to go be good for mazda get off the field and nurse that injury i don't even think else coach notices what's going on well he's probably he can't do anything about it now i don't think and that was not legal so we will get a free kick longmeadow will appeal but uh the verdict is still guilty oh kamaras loses it and mazzle will touch it that brings us to the end of quarter yes quarter number three landers lead east longmeadow one to zero and we'll be back after this two minutes stay tuned you and welcome back sweet caroline concludes here at east long meadow high school and devin dobeck alongside brennan mclaughlin quarter number four here one nothing lancers the only goal scored by luke luke did i say that right it's uh i can't i'm sorry luke luke s with the lone goal longmeadow leads one nothing they have i'd say been in control 60 percent of the game spartans giving up good fight haven't had a shot in a long time just hit that crossbar is that the first quarter uh probably mr freeman a little cold for cargo shorts tonight i think my friend i let him be he's he's 11 right now doing an excellent job of sanitizing the balls tonight very exceptional and enzo mazza trying to walk in here he goes down looking for a whistle that may have been a little floppage it's got to be pretty easy to get a call now because you literally can't do anything so i wonder if you fall oh and something just happened there's a man down yeah kokovia and him just ran into each other and there's a loud noise and diane makes her way out to the field one minute exactly into quarter four hopefully diane can give him um the stuff that is necessary for him to heal up and he can get back out there but stay tuned stay tuned there's just a little bump there between sweeney and walt tech that was pretty nice i wonder if we got that on camera they're trying to hype themselves up yeah they're gonna need it no but that made a loud pop noise that could not have felt good i missed it yeah i watched that like kekovia like looked like he was going for the ball but then once he looked up the llamado player was right in his grill and what what hit what like his midsection it looks like but what hit his midsection just kakovia's body that sounds like a touch that wasn't that's why they blew the whistle no they blew it because he was down i think because they kind of let him play for a little bit or he's holding his head i can understand why there's no football allowed in the fall considering how soccer they literally have to social distance yeah i hope he's good though starting to get a little chilly out here 58 degrees clear skies beautiful evening here it is middle high school devin dobeck alongside brennan mclaughlin jamie rook behind the camera i mean nothing compares to those friday night games that were really brutal all those were less you weren't even there and he's up he's i think he just got the win knocked out of him he's gonna walk off on his own power but um what was that not you were not at the thanksgiving game when it was 11 degrees and we won with a hunter mazza two touchdown performance and one of my favorite calls of all time when he cut back and ran into the other end zone who was on the mic with you that day oh no john swinton i think that was his debut oh that was already two years ago holy cow i was in boston i do remember that you're giving me live updates here during the game it was a good game i actually got to call 22 news and tell them who won this girl just came up to me and handed me a card and i was like sweet that was a head you cannot do that mr cacovia you can't touch it with your head they're all just run frantically just scattered everybody just scattered i just heard some girls yelling from i don't know where yeah as freeman said that there's a scandal going on yep girls soccer gate where they entered the stadium and were to be escorted out by mr frank page oh i thought they ran away from him probably it's probably a combo i mean i wouldn't want mr page coming at me clock is bleeding out closing in on 18 minutes left in the ball game excuse me guy doing the oh he's doing the walk over the fence warm up to get ready again put a little music behind it be a nice little dance glad to see he's feeling better what are we waiting for right now i don't know but the clock has lost about a minute of us just doing nothing and they kick it it squirts out and is kicked out behind the goal looks like that was by big brad brandon that'd be brady mckechnie what did we call him during baseball no tag brad because yeah because that one game he had or no one could touch it and a tackle made something just came out i think it's a shin guard i could be wrong oh it is so he'll have to go retrieve that he's going to be offside though yeah he kind of just noticed it was a shin guard and he's back on side so he's good you cannot do that mr sweeney that must be instinct you know how long these guys have been playing soccer for like just to not head the ball that must that must be hard oh we do have ice diane's giving him ice i don't know if that's protocol but we'll let it slide well she had gloves and she got it from her cooler what if that was a cooler that was not coveted protocol four spartans trail one nothing goal scored by luke s and east long meadow kicks it ahead and someone tries to put a shoulder into kokovia he's going to have some words for him ball is rolling and wall attack that's a spoot nope that was a kaboot wait did sunny just shoulder that ball like are you allowed to do that um debatable but we'll let it slide even though it might not be hashtag the protocol is that what we're calling it i have a lot of names for it yes stephen's going to handle the ball over there let's turn into lawn meadow whoa that one was high i don't want to orbit oh oh you can't head it can't do it oh cacobia comes away little outside toe action and mckechnie will just kick it away smart play made good right to freeman but he's not going to go get that freeman did not make an athletic move to go get that ball he's getting his steps in you got to hand it to him i dig the stride like he just got a distinct stride to him all right brennan you don't have to be a teacher's pet anymore i'd never have him as a teacher and yet here we are and for shadow oh that was a touch but i don't know they are being a little more lenient with the touches running you might be onto something you just call me right that's weird yeah it tasted horrible coming out of my mouth there it is and now evans gives away to brunel goes across to morneau mourinho rips one caught and dropped and regained by rintoul right into his grass that was said not oh i don't know 1350 to go walty had to make a quick decision there oh it's like you're allowed to chest the ball like that which i would assume oh that's a foul that would be a foul like regular soccer right i think it's a body check you know brunel brunell can't get it to fascetto he gives him a little touch and the ref caught it if this was real soccer like if the rules weren't changed i would be genuinely concerned yeah but beats me piss me mcgee's also getting his steps in too i've seen him walk around the field like three times he's just asserting dominance mickey's letting everybody know who's alpha he must be pretty he must have a lot less stress on his plate now that there's no red sea that he has to deal with he probably has a much more enjoyable time at the games not having to yell at a kid every five seconds for saying a mean comment to the other team specifically turned over by faschetto but he gets it back and plays it to bernell brunell evans and now gets it to sunny sunny trying to split him mourinho walks in sunny tries to do a thing there bang brad kicks it to a lot of kicking going on stevens touches it over see like if i was playing soccer like that my instinct would just be to rip it at the net but i i don't know if that's really something that you usually do from right there but that's just me cortina will check back in for shadow legend has it he has the largest cavs known to mankind are we talking about jalen yep i mean he's definitely up there him and phil mickelson oh god that's why i can hit the ball so far it's a secret to being like 50 years old and so bomb in the wall like 3 20.

dr dana mitchell yes we are bringing forward this resolution this is californians for drug free youth which is a statewide parent community organization they partner with the california department of alcohol and drug programs and they co-sponsor red ribbon week their theme this year for 2020 is be happy be brave be drug free and we will be providing schools with various options for virtual red ribbon week activities as well as partnering with the elks they have three different contests that they sponsor and so we are going to provide that opportunity for our students there is a drug awareness poster contest for uh for students there is an essay contest and there's even a video contest as well so we're looking forward to providing that for our students thank you great thank you okay i'm going to go ahead and open up for a motion for 12.1 most i move to a proof i'm sorry 12.2 or so sorry nine point two two like you're right thank you yes thank you i moved and moved to uh to open debt for a motion for nine point two i move to approve 9.2 a second thank you um student vote i'm sorry we're not there yet bear with me uh now it's open for discussion does anyone have any questions or concerns about this as we see none we're going to go ahead and turn it over to student vote parkenberg thank you and our board we can go ahead and vote electronically okay it passes 5-0 moving on with the agenda we have 9.3 resolution number 20-21-16 of the isuzu unified school district endorsing measure y the citrus college career education repair and affordable higher education measure move to approve item 9.3 can i get a second i'll second open for discussion i actually have um a question this um so this measure is this the measure that's going to be on the november third ballot yes and do we know how how this measure will be affecting our constituents such as how many you know hundred thousands per do we have that information i don't have that information uh at hand i do because i've been i had evidence in the mail the mailer said twenty five dollars per hundred thousand dollars assessed value okay i'm sorry so for example our bond is are you you cannot hear me can anyone else can anyone else hear me i can hear you guys hear me lag in the middle so 25 20 25 25 per hundred thousand dollars assessed value for contrast our bond are usually our bond our last bond was sixty dollars per hundred thousand dollars assessed value okay thank you thank you for that any more questions or discussion okay that brings us to our end of discussion and that lead us to to vote um can we get the student vote please approve thank you okay go ahead and vote online okay it passes 5-0 we're going to go ahead and move down to 9.4 discussion of november 3rd 2020 board meeting date mr ortega yes right now we currently have a board meeting scheduled uh regular board meeting scheduled for november 3rd 2020 that happens to be um the election uh day election night and so the conversation was uh do we keep our board meeting uh here on this tuesday uh or do we move it uh to wednesday on november 4th or or something else but just wanted uh direction around this particular board meeting and the date do we have any recommendations there's discussion anybody would like to go ahead and speak about this i have an opinion so i'm just i mean so i mean i would say governor and adrian i mean that's what we did at the um the last election that we ran we ran in um i'm pretty sure wasn't it and i think um uh yeah that's right that's right yeah yes and i think um in retrospect i think it's it was better it's better just to have the meeting on election night and and i i don't know i think we tried something i'm not sure that it really worked i don't know if anybody else wants to weigh in can you define work when you say it didn't work i mean it just i mean because i mean obviously um one of the incumbents lost and then it like we had a meeting the next day and it just felt it just felt really awkward and weird and if we have the meeting on the same night you know it's it just feels a lot cleaner to me i don't know that's that's my personal opinion if i'm hearing you correctly you're saying to um to continue and having uh to have our meeting on a tuesday november 3rd yeah on the on election night i'm saying keep it under i i'm recommending we keep it on november 3rd okay we have a board member rodriguez pena oh no i'm just gonna say i do recall we changed it the next day but then again um as shironine mentioned i do i do recall the awkwardness the next day also when that came i actually forgot about that and then i would just i mean i guess that part doesn't shouldn't really matter right i mean we're all this is public service so that really shouldn't matter but i mean it also just felt kind of exhausting because there's an election and then we had a board meeting the next night right and it was pretty it was pretty tiring as opposed to like i mean if you didn't that was just a lot of mental energy that goes into an election for those of you that are running and then and then have a meeting the very next day um i i guess go ahead we have a hand raised i'm so sorry um we have a board member bibles vogel um i i just basically would think that yolanda is running and if she's up to it to do it that night and she feels comfortable because that's what i was i would i would think is people who are running may be distracted or whatever but if she feels fine then well i mean since you mentioned it you know i feel that i prefer to have it the next day myself because everyone throughout a race and everyone knows how it is that day so to concentrate and sit in the rain and it's long and it's kind of edgy um as a candidate yes i i appreciate it so we have a board member career yeah i i um this thank you shilling for for giving context and how things was uh how things were previously um yeah i think you know awkwardness is a potential i think we i don't know i suppose we just have to deal with that i think it might make sense you know without without having experienced it myself it might make sense to not have it the night of just because of everything that's happening um i would uh say though just for me personally wednesdays are are not good nights for me i have a i have a standing commitment on wednesdays so what does it look like to do it on on thursday on the so on the uh two days later and i'm sorry can i just add to that though so yes exactly the next day the person doesn't win you know it's awkward but the person still needs to come to other meetings until december so it's not like it's just one day you don't come you're still going to continue you're not done like that night you're not done so it's it's either way it doesn't matter what i'm hearing is um that uh no matter what what uh the result and result is for the elections that the board member needs to come until um the end of november and um therefore but and i'm also hearing from board member rodriguez pena that it would be beneficial not to have it on november 3rd um to have it on another day just because of the extent of and the work um and what i'm hearing from board member adrian greer is that uh november 4th which is the next day is he has prior commitment if we are able to go ahead and agree on thursday november 5th so i compiled all that i do have to say i also agree with that um actually let's go ahead and open up for a motion on motion to move the meeting to thursday november it's november 5th right all right thursday november 5th i so we're um well over twice that almost three times that um i you know there's some some parents spoke about how they want to be able to make the decision when to send kids to school um then and take the risk for those for those um kids and i understand that and they have that right to do that um there are some paths and some of them mentioned that that they don't there are parents out there that um don't have the ability or don't have the desire to to do that for their kids um there are also um 300 staff members that we have to look at after the average age of the of that of those staff members is over is in their 50s um and that means that we have about half our staff that is in uh considered the the um hazardous age range when it comes to covet so we're looking out for it for them as well um i think it would be a different question if cases weren't going up for the next for three weeks in a row um and it concerns me so one of the things that i i mentioned this uh during the meeting yesterday with the with the um parents couple promises that i made that i'm going to follow through on one was to take a survey of staff members to see you know if we go to if we say we're going to come back in in person we now we may not have the staff to come back in person and that concerns me and so we wanted this week to send out a staff survey to find out who would be willing to come back if we didn't meet the benchmarks the other is a parent survey and i was thinking about this we discussed this yesterday we were i was thinking about it overnight i don't want to just send out a survey to everybody and hoped for results back on one of the conversations that we had yesterday in our meeting is when we do that a lot of times we get less than 50 percent respondents and i don't think it's an accurate gauge of of um what the feelings of the parents are just because we don't there's parents that may not have internet things like that so we need to make some phone calls so i want to set up and have some staff make some phone calls to parents to so that we get accurate data and i'm hoping to do that next week so we can have some information from parents not that these things would it's not a vote it's to find out this information about what our parents want as far as instruction goes um we need to remember right now with even with hybrid hybrid we have a third of our parents that have decided to keep their kids home now as a qualifier um some of the and i think some um one of the parents mentioned in in the letters that i read that um the parents are giving the kids options and so that that's that's one of it one of the the issues and maybe the kids are choosing that depends but i think with that said a lot of the parents that a lot of the kids that i know that have chosen to stay home is because none of their friends got up the same the day that they they did so i think that that makes a huge that that plays a huge role i know like a most everybody i know that kid chose to stay home is because their their friends didn't get on the same day that they did um the other and some parents are staying home because they don't want their kids to wear masks and i need to say that that the mask mandate is out of our control out of your control that's something that is being determined by an executive order that the governor said that masks are required and the board has to come up with a policy uh mandating masks and that can only be lifted by the department of health services the arizona department health services so if we come back in person um or when we come back in person it's going to be with masks and so i think people are willing to do that right and i agree i agree i do agree with that so um the the the increase in cases bugs me it really does we had a conversation today we had district leadership team meeting today um i think there was a really good conversation in that in that um we the the principals want to get kids back also um but at the same time we don't want to lose teachers and so we need to balance that and we don't know you know we've talked to teachers uh principals and talk teachers but we don't know we don't have a good idea who's who would be coming back if we said we're coming back um right now or coming back on the 19th without that information so my recommendation and it's a little bit different than what i wrote here so i wanted to make sure that that that we are clear on what the recommendation is my recommendation is to continue hybrid instruction for right now and it says um initially it was until all the the on three benchmarks in the minimal risk range for two weeks i want to take that part out i don't i want to maybe evaluate that need that right now i'd like to continue hybrid instruction we also want to maintain the option of at home learning for those families that would like their students to continue at home families would continue to have the option at the end of each quarter to change their mind we've had we have parent teacher conferences k um k5 this week and teachers are taught or should be they've been um i've asked the administrators to follow through on this parents or teachers should be talking to parents to those online kids do you want to come back to hybrid if we're in hybrid so those conversations are taking place we are having a lot of kids come back into hybrid from online we are so we want to maintain that for at least the second quarter okay um then based on the based on the information from the parent survey that we'll get based on the information from the staff survey that we get and then also conversations that i want to have with the health department evaluate at that time um evaluate during the week of the 19th whether to move to all in-person instruction i don't want to put a date out there because i think that that can be harmful um because then people assume that that's it but i i want to promise that we'll evaluate you know based on the information that from the parent survey the staff survey if we don't have staff the sas say they're going to be gone i don't want to do a j.o combs which is a school district that down in in phoenix that said they were going to go all in person and they had to back out because there were no teachers to teach the kids but you know i i heard the frustration yesterday of the parents i did at the same time i i need to put the health of the kids and the parent and it's i'm like the kids you know i have to balance health of staff and help kids and the quality of instruction i'm trying to do that um but right now i i'm not ready to recommend that we come back all in person on the 19th i have a question yeah um have you asked the staff yet how they the staff and teachers have you taken that survey yet we're going to do that this week okay i think that result will be pretty critical i actually have com questions and then comments so a few things struck out to me as people were talking and i'd like to know if they're facts before we actually decide on anything um are 50 of our kids failing do we know not not to my knowledge um there's there's a significant number that are and i don't mean to interrupt but we talked about this in our meeting yesterday and there was concern that a lot of the grades were way down so can we have that number in this meeting i don't have that number i don't have that number to share with you we had that conversation yesterday and we were told that the grades were pulled and that they they were telling all different stories or different chapters in a book but it didn't sound like they were good so they were full so that's why i'm asking as a parent i have not seen any great i haven't seen any great data so i don't know can i just say that i spoke today with the superintendent of galapagos of all the schools and he told me yes it is true it was it mr carter that he spoke with yes it was he doesn't have access to that information to know whether it's true or not i don't know what the what the information what he's talking about okay i understand but he doesn't have access to that to know whether it's true or not he has everyone that i've spoken is saying that that is happening that's cindy yeah and i can't say that it's 50 or 60 or 35 percent because i didn't look at it that way i did talk to all the principals and reviewed it and lee expressed it i think very very well we have a significant number of kids that are really struggling in school which i'm going to get to my personal experience here in just sec there's other county schools i think it was lindsay that mentioned it and i actually looked up camp verdi because i wasn't sure which ones it is how are other yavapai county schools operating under the same guidelines that we are it's just a question i don't know i i'm curious i know a little bit about camp birdie in particular okay a significant number of their students are uh are native american and the reservation has chosen not to send their native american kids to school so there's a good chunk and i don't know what that percentage is i i can't say but a good chunk of that of those um kids aren't going to school because of that um they're not part of a you know we're part of a fairly large i don't want to say it's not suburban but you know one of the one of the concerns i have is we are part of the quad cities when i drive in you know i've lived in in prescott for um 20 almost 24 years and i drive in every day and there's more and more cars that are leaving chino than coming in latino because we have parents that are working live in chino and working in prescott we have students that are live in prescott and live in prescott valley that come to school here we have staff members like myself that live in prescott and prescott valley so to say let's look at just chino valley is a is a little bit um we are part of a larger community that i think we need to consider camp verde is its own ice kind of isolated area fairly distant from other somewhat isolated areas um and not nearly as large as what's going on on this side of the mountain thank you so we and we are the third largest district in the in the county after prescott and humboldt okay um now some comments i did not go to sleep until about four o'clock this morning thinking about this i wrote probably six or seven responses that i ended up crumpling and throwing away i am a parent of a high schooler that i don't advertise it's not fair to my child to have a school board mother it's not fair to his teachers to have a school board my mother so i do not advertise that my son is not a strong student never has been most likely never will be he's failing every single class every single class was he has he's worked very hard because he's also a football player and he wanted to make sure he could play friday night i've heard teachers are not working hard to get this get the students up that is absolutely incorrectly put it beautifully i know teachers that my son specifically was working with him on fridays and saturdays and sundays to get him back up but the system did not work for him i don't think it's working for anyone else please don't think that that has made up my mind i'm just talking here i really meant to have something written and i decided i needed to see how the meeting went before i spoke or not there are things in google classroom and on tyler sis that for example say that he got 25 out of 25 and it still says he has an f in that particular subject or that particular line things he turns in in google classroom turns out to be blank pieces of paper that i have sat and watched him do i work 40 hours a week my husband is home with him we are very fortunate family we have the the means and the capabilities to be home with him and to be on top of him and have it have him be able to do his best my heart goes out to you families that do not have that capability to be with your your children on a daily basis to help them with their struggles i i want him back in school i want him back in school six weeks ago i don't know that that's the right option i i don't know where to go with this and i mean that completely and totally openly and honestly i almost feel like we don't have enough information to make a decision tonight i don't know if that's an option um but i just really almost feel like i would love to hear from the staff before i just arbitrarily made a decision from the teachers i would love to hear from the parents more parents before we just arbitrarily made that decision i would just like to reevaluate all of it i know next week is his fall break and we're supposed to start that next week i get it i'm willing to meet on sunday afternoon i'm willing to meet at eight o'clock in the morning i'm willing to do whatever it takes to make the right decision instead of a hasty decision i i agree um i want to speak out too i do have three kids that are in the district one that's a junior and he's a good student by good i mean he's good um education wise maybe not like so good in the classroom but anyways um he this on what this hybrid thing is not working for him he this last week he has been busting his butt to get his grades up because i'm like if you want to drive you better get your grades up it's just not working for him he's very very smart but he responds better to in-person learning now my seventh grader she misses her other kids that aren't going to school the same time that she is and i'm going to tell you my kindergartner probably is the one that's mostly affected he's getting the word he's got a great teacher but their kindergarten experience isn't what kindergarten experience should be you know they're have to stand away from each other they don't even get to play on the playground they don't get to play on the on the jungle gym or whatever they call it now i'm not sure and he wears this mask all the time and he's sick you know i feel so bad for him i didn't get on the school board for personal gain or financial gain obviously because this is not okay i got on to make a difference and if i'm gonna be one of the ones that stands up and voices my opinion and is the one that makes a difference then that's the way it's going to be and as of right now i am for these kids getting back in school as soon as they can yeah i'm i see patients all day long and i have never shut my doors through all this covet we do the temperature checks some patients wear a mask i do not wear a mask no none of my staff do they have the option if they want to um in since march i have found out that i've had two patients that were not actively treating that were exposed they did their self quarantine no one hospitalized or anything and listening to experts on the news and everything they say to get the kids back in school right now i don't have a child in school my child goes to trinity christian he does not wear a mask the teachers wear a face shield when they're teaching they've been back since august 17th they've had no positive cases or anything they're playing sports they have limited travel but and i don't put any faith in the numbers that we see from the state the cdc because those numbers are so skewed there's too many false positives or tests that were never done that were read as positive so i don't put faith in that and if my son was in this school district i would say go to school and all of i treat quite a few teachers and they all want to go back to school because they're not they're not fulfilling themselves with the hyper method or the online because they don't see those kids enough especially like the kindergarteners to build that one-on-one relationship with those kids so in my opinion i say put the kids back to school sure did you have something well the only thing that i could contribute is to see your teachers who come up with an alternate teaching method sort of a hands-on thing a project that students could do which would include words that are spelling lists or math problems that would have to do with the project to make it more interesting to work on at home and i'm not quite sure what that would be but i would be interested in helping see if we could identify some projects that would work and help kids be interested in what they're doing that's what i would say because just a list of activities may not do it thank you well i think i'm curious to know why we can't have an option so that the parents who want their kids to go to school can opt in the ones those that uh want just at home can opt out and be at home we already know a third want to be at home and those that want to remain hybrid or online can do that we we don't have the ability of the teaching staff to do all three we need we can we'll continue the at home no matter what okay whether we're hybrid or all in person but to try to do and then we need to decide is it hybrid you know we'll do at home and then one of the other two options either hybrid or all in person we don't have the teaching the the ability to do that especially when you talk about what's going on at the heist at you know high school it's a little bit easier at k5 just because we have teachers that actually just teach at home but at from middle school and high school the teachers are teaching at home and in person so it's not it's not we really don't have the capacity to do all three i have a question so right now they see the kids that are in person in school they see them 50 of the time during the week correct and then they see the other half 50 of the time correct so what do you think the percentages of the kids that are going to come back do you think it's going to be that big a percentage because in my opinion i don't think that's going to be if you're going to if parents are already choosing to keep their kids at home there's a good majority of them that keep going to keep them home so these teachers are already being exposed to these kids and so that's that's what my question is i mean i just tried to look at the logistics of it they're being exposed to these kids not not as a whole but they're still being exposed they but they we with the only half the kids in the classroom there's much easier chances of social distancing and not just in the classroom we're also talking about buses we have kids that are on a bus from paulden for an hour and so when we have only we have about a third say we have a third monday wednesday a third tuesday thursday and a third at home so that means we have only about a third of the kids on in a bus at any one time so kids can spread out on a bus instead of having we'll say 60 kids there's only 20 kids and they can spread out and so it's it's a matter of when we do the hybrid the reason for the hybrid is to be able to maintain social distancing really um at lunch and at lunch they're not wearing masks because they're eating obviously so it's you know it's even much more that important um to maintain that social distancing so really it's a you know the exposure's there but it's a social distancing issue as well can i just add one thing these kids get together anyways they're they're at each other's homes anyways and they're playing sports they're playing sports they're on the bus they go to church together they are together anyways so sports are allowed but back in school it's not the bars are open i mean last week the governor said we have met all of our benchmarks i watched him on tv open our schools these kids but if they come to school and you're separating them and they're not getting to see each other they're meeting up anyways these teenagers are they're finding their friends are hanging out for spending the night mr schultz himself yesterday in the video that i watched said we have had zero cases i just think that um you know as a parent if i was super concerned with my kid's safety then i would take it in my own hands and keep my child help but i am not i i think one of the most important things that we have is education and i can tell you right now my kids are not getting a good education and it's not the teacher's fault and it's not their fault and it's it's this whole thing that's happened but i look at the statistics like dr bowen said and i look at the recovery and i look at the youth that gets it and i i you know i i've dealt with it firsthand and i mean i don't know i just think that these kids need to be back in school i think the key is going to be in the in the survey that you do of the teachers how many would stay if we went in in person and i agree with cindy that we need more information so we can make a better and a more educated decision because if we vote today and we say and we send them back october 19th does that mean cindy and john and everyone else are going to be in the classrooms teaching right because we don't have teachers and i think we need to get the teachers i'm okay with getting the teacher's opinion and i honestly think we're going to find out that the teachers want these kids back in school most everybody that i've most of the teachers that i've talked to who haven't already done that haven't gotten you kids we should have been surveying how is it going how what's working what's not working from the beginning i work for a mexican restaurant in town we have not been wearing masks we are not obligated to our masks because it is not required by the health department we have worked side by side with the health department it is not a requirement i see all these teenagers going in we we are right by the university every riddle all these kids come in 10 15 at a time they're not wearing masks so that's i don't see the concern i mean i do see the concern and it's obviously a virus that is going to stay it's here to stay it's not going anywhere next together it's up to yes ma'am i worked for ycso we all got chronovirus i had it for the life of me i couldn't keep my kid away from me no matter how much i pushed him and told him stay out of my room he came around me almost every day he went around with friends not a single one of them got it everybody my work got it half of them didn't show any signs most of them it was like a bad cold we got over it none of their kids got it none of their kids spread it to anybody else my kid even though i told him you need to stay home i'm sick still would take off go with his friends go over to other parents house their parents didn't get sick this is not a problem we have to worry about this is the flu yes we have this every year this is just the first time that somebody put a label on it and spreading around the news i'm scared every night and terrified everybody our kids are suffering my kids came from a broken home i took them on they're my nephews this is the only escape they have you guys are hurting them and i get calls every day from other kids there are worse situations of mine and i gotta sit there and talk to them why they're crying online learning what are the subjects that are targeted to teach it's my favorite okay i have a ton of administrative support um it's been a great place to work and i've worked with john on his superintendence committee i mean i don't have a lot of bad things to say um it's always been solution oriented is where i'm going with this so when we have them probably from the solution i serve as the athletic director at heritage and we're talking about how bad these kids grades are i left the school today on time for the first time for a very long time and i teach pe and i'm teaching the same thing to sixth seventh and eighth grade and i'm overwhelmed and my co-workers are teaching different curriculums to each of those content areas and their content areas and we're being told that we have to have summative and you know different grades it's impossible okay i am guilty of sitting there in front of my screen and i was on the phone with our schedule i said i just input a zero to a kid that clicked submit but there was nothing attached and when we had to recreate these classrooms all of our kids were in one classroom i had a sixth grade pe classroom and pe online was kind of a joke anyways more balls are stuck on people's ropes right now because we tried something that didn't work okay but when we had to switch to the online hybrid half of those kids had to switch to a different classroom because there's no way i could have communicated that so now i have an online and a hybrid for each grade so i have six online classrooms and four in class kids there are classes i'm teaching like 12 sections you know and it's impossible so with the solution-oriented part if they cared about their grades if they had a reason to do their online work because they knew that we were going to look at them i have no idea how we're going to evaluate quarter one grades for those kids that want to play basketball if we get approval to do that yeah you know what i mean like how how can we move forward with the solution to some of the problems that will help motivate these kids i i don't know who's on the phone i'm going to be honest but it's hard enough to engage them in person how are we going to put together these creative you know i love the idea and it sounds great but we can't get them interested when they're sitting in front of us how are we going to do it over a screen you know we someone's talking in the audience i wrote a letter to john uh he didn't read it he read mr robert which was outstanding and i agree with a lot of his points as far as having family members i shared for my 92 year old grandma all summer i have not seen back to school she fell and hit her head last week it's not easy but i feel like we've been exposed since november my children had it last year when it first started they had colors their doctors could not figure out what it was why because they didn't have a label on a.m all three of them have asthma we have asthma and thank god they're fighting well i think i'm an auto immunization i think that we're going to honor you i appreciate everybody talking and us engaging and everything and i really do appreciate the kindness i that's my main thing i appreciate everybody coming and being respectful and kind that's so one thing that i've asked for i think we're going to come to a conclusion that we possibly are going to table this is that what we're but if you come to the decision where the kids cannot go back to school and you feel it's safer for staff and students to stay home and continue the online can we please come up with a solution to help the students who are struggling my kid also has the same problem with turning in his work half of it is not even there that's a part of the problem as well is there a possibility we can have a date that we will know as parents so i think right now what we're going to say is we're going to we're going to make a motion we're going to make a motion right now to to table i'm going to tell you guys all we're going to do whatever we can like you guys know cindy and i both have kids in the district that are both struggling that better that are struggling we want what's best not just for our kids but for everybody else too so with that said let's move on for this for this i'll make a motion i have a question if we table it when is it as soon soonest we can get together and go over that data to make it still safe and attainable i believe that we could have most of the staff done this week you know i'm thinking that that it would take at least part of next week to do the [Music] 2000 calls that we would have to do i know we've had some volunteers i think it's just better just to pay our staff um we have a lot of aids that aren't working next week that we could have them come in and and pay them to do those phone calls and um so forth i understand i understand um i think it's just for me personally honestly as far as statistics go the teachers are what i'm concerned about more than that because we can have that like you know i can i can probably get that um out tomorrow so i agree with annie if you don't want your kids in school stay online right right right but i but like you we are also saying if our teachers are saying hey we're we don't want to do this or we're going to go find another job then we're going to need to re-evaluate that but i'm saying if a good majority of our teachers are like which it sounds like they're let's get our kids back in school that's what i think is the most important right the other concern i have is trying to transition from hybrid to in person doesn't happen overnight does not happen overnight um we would need to give the staff a little bit of of lead time to prepare for that so shouldn't staff already be preparing for the october 19th date right now they think that they know what my recommendation is they may not be okay okay so when as soon as you think you would have those results from the teachers i think we could have it or we could ask we can insist that teachers fill it out by the end of the day um thursday okay good so it's something that we can try to do um i would have to do it you know we can do it in on a google meet or a zoom or on phone for me anytime next week to get this figured out what would be evaluating those results well so there's a we would i'm planning on using a google survey that would go out to our staff it would track the respondents so we knew who was responding so we couldn't have one person that would respond multiple times and then that's that information gets dumped into a spreadsheet and um evaluated based on the information that goes into the spreadsheet right so i guess what my point is i don't want one person who goes one way looking at those results and coming to their conclusion where maybe people from both sides can see and agree on the result of that survey the results that we're looking at is how many we talked about it today it's going to be one question if this is what what's happening are you coming back yeah and so it's not we're not talking about a ton of questions or anything we're looking at one question so by the end of next week we're not going to give any numbers we'll have a response yeah we will have the results available by thursday and getting together as i think we have talked about you guys getting together early next week is what we have talked about right yeah okay can i say something can you change the question back to am i allowed to go can you change the questions i'm sorry i'm sorry someone's speaking thank you may say a different answer could you would it be reasonable to say when do you go back so they know that inevitably we're going back and they have to make a final decision well in the clarify and and we'll try to clarify that the reason is when we go back they're expected to work when we're within the benchmarks if that was the initial that was the initial plan the question is if we go back because we're not going to be within the benchmarks i guarantee that within the 10 the 10 cases per hundred thousand that's not going to happen by the end of march end of october sorry the end of october anybody's work agreement or work contract so you guys have the right to decide if we're going back and win so i agree but at the same time they need to understand you know work to be honest if they want to resign they can resign right absolutely but i just want it to not be promising to resign and then not resigning you know what i mean i i'm just saying if you say if they might still think there's some skin in the game oh i got you and they might think they have power to i just want it like will you will you yes that's a good point thank you thank you lee okay i have one more comment that i want to make i apologize throughout tonight and of course reading social media and different things which i promise i try not to do there seems to be a lot of distrust amongst administration and the board too from outsiders and by outsiders i mean parents let me just say it like it is i want you to know again as a parent i trust this administration probably more than any other administration that's been around and i have children that have been in the school district since the late 1990s these people are working for your children please please don't think that they're working against you trust us please the best you can but i don't i think this is such a mess that nobody knows i think we've been given a very bad hand we've been dealt a very bad hand and we are trying to do the best we can with what we have and like i have said one of the main things i've said is that that i've stressed is that people just really need to be kind and not call our school and yell at whoever for whatever problems they have and again i will tell you this we are volunteers up here all four of us we are doing i told you i did not doing this for personal gain heck i'm not didn't do it for financial gain and i did it to make a difference and obviously i'm running i ran for another four year term which might be punishment at this point but i'm still here so i'm not moving my kids out of this district and i'm with cindy i believe in this administration i some of our teachers some of our principles are the best that there is so just trust that i'm asking you guys all trust that we're going to make the right decision because we're going to get everything we can to make it yeah when we had to make the hard choice of closing school in march no one could even fathom that we were going to be here this year still trying to figure this out yeah i'm done so let's pick a date next week and how how long ahead of time do we need to post 24 hours 24 okay so any day next week we could um docu go ahead i have a a full day um thursday morning so thursday doesn't work for you guys earlier in the week probably yeah we do like either sunday or monday so i'm thinking tuesday to 13th tuesday the 13th does that work by zoom or by phone we'll do something probably like google meets or something yeah okay uh do you want to keep it under a regular five o'clock morning or earlier what about yeah you're the one that has that i think earlier where are we gonna google me or come here yeah what we'll do is we'll put something on the screen for those that can't be here um and it could be however many people and we can put somebody on the phone okay i'm gonna have to be on the phone because i'm good so i'm coming in so i prefer to be here mr fulmer are you gonna be around next week can we can you be um in charge of making sure that we're hooked up for google meet at whatever time on tuesday thank you thank you two o'clock sherry did you hear that yeah okay can you hear me now all right two o'clock on thursday i mean tuesday the 13th in the boardroom or uh by phone what's happening here another meeting we're tabling this item okay okay well the motion's not made yet but we think we're tabling yes okay all right so we need a motion please i will make a motion to table item 9b until we have more information on the for scheduling in-person instruction to reconvene on reconvene on tuesday october 13th at 2 p.m at 2 p.m so just clarify what i'm hearing is to not move forward with the parent survey that will rely on the the staff surveillance that's correct okay very good how will we know [Music] so just be expecting something after tuesday at two o'clock i just got a text from matt santos who's our information officer so he'll make sure that whatever decision is made we'll get out via facebook um we'll put on the marquee put it on the marquee um get it out we can do um uh the blackboard connect calls things like that it will get out thank you so much okay thank you thank you guys for all your time we really appreciate the input a lot and there's a motion on the floor i knew that it's getting late there is a motion on the floor so all in favor posed thank you okay thank you again thank you guys so much for coming we appreciate that item 10a china valley you prop 301 plan um cindy you're going to present yep so thank you for the opportunity to prevent present something easy i appreciate it as you know in about the year 2000 arizona voters approved proposition 301 which was a sales tax based provision to provide additional funding to the classroom called classroom site fund it was rewritten a little bit last year when it expired and has been made a permanent fixture however a component of that is that we have a plan that's approved by the teachers and recommended to the board for approval and so we can distribute that pay to our teachers so what the law says is the plan must be approved by 70 percent of staff eligible to receive the distribution and it must also be approved by the governing board we have 115 staff members who are eligible to receive prop 301 funds and of the staff 115 voted and the approval was 113 yes to no which makes it a 98 affirmative it includes quarterly distributions to teachers that like an extra paycheck once a quarter and it also has a twice yearly pay for performance component all of the things that are part of that pay for performance are listed in the plan that's in your packet so i would ask that you approve the plan that the teachers have approved and that would be my recommendation to you tonight if you have any questions i'm happy to answer those does anybody have any questions no we would love to hear this motion i will make a motion to approve the con or is it 01 301 plan plan all in favor aye aye thank you this meeting is adjourned thank you all thank you

same day but you know close to each other and one looks like way far behind now this one's already a month behind so so i like to see a timeline a timeline in our packet um with some concrete timelines on these and it doesn't always fall exactly but they're like far behind yes and um and this week's um board update package you will have an update of the latest projections from the committee thank you now another question so is this is this a ratification since that it was supposed to end in september um i don't think it would be a ratification because they're not they're just extending the terms of a contract so it's just times of because i don't i would have to look to see if the actual completion date was part of the contract but this is just them stating they need more time to finish it okay right thanks i have one question will will this uh will this also increase um the amount of the contract or it's no this is not there's no cost change okay this is just purely time great thank you you're welcome any more comments questions seeing that there's none and it's end of discussion i turn over to our student mark arkenberg for his student preferential vote 13.1 um that award e reached out to the bond committee um consulting committee to state that they had a miscalculation in their submission and asked that their bid be pulled you know that bid was higher or lower um the bid would actually be higher their calculation made them underbid the total cost of the project i have a question so why does it say gladstone street elementary can you please click i should turn in 40 minutes ago yeah you have no idea what i just said do you yeah you did what did what did i say so not to say there's like nine minutes left in the game sure i swear you did i did but then you disagreed with me saying i go to bed at eight o'clock oh that's like that's an interesting response yeah i was kind of just staring at the lights so what are you like a firefly or like a moth that says i have a mother i hate you please please tell your family to leave my basement because it really aggravates me my moth family yeah i feel really bad smooshing them but like i don't want them fluttering all over the place no they smell weird you know i i can't say i've ever gotten the chance to smell a moth no you don't like mothballs like in like older places i think those are made of moths well when you kill a moth it smells like a distinct smell i don't think that's what a mothball is though you think that a mothball is a ball of dead moths no it's no it's just it comes from a moth i don't know how but it comes from my mouth i'm gonna go and say that's incorrect i'm gonna i think it's something to prevent them no no i'm gonna look up a mothball now i thought mothballs were put in people's houses to prevent moths why would you why would you want a mothball so that moths don't come in your house a small pellet of fusion substance typically oh god what to kill moths yeah yep who was right back in the wind column baby and longmeadow we'll have a kick in here did someone really ask question what kind of animals do mothballs keep away brennan let's get back to the game please because we're always so on task but yeah number three just tripped over and zoe plays it tomorrow now moreno's got options and he'll go behind sonny and now luke mazza plays it for more no more no turns it over spartans look a little flat-footed out there cacovia oh does the lace little pirouette there oh oh and then he wow he's really shifty out there and longmeadow wants a foul [Music] six minutes ago in the fourth quarter spartans still trail one nothing thanks to the second quarter goal i believe second quarter yeah from blue cass of longmeadow allah meadow has another chance to score right here and if you're just joining us please wish a happy birthday to nani good hinds of longmeadow donnie goodhain's happy birthday and they ring one off the cross piece that was a bullet yeah that was hard kick let's see if he used the toe that's in the back of the nut uh colin evans just almost got kicked right in the side of the head and now it rolls out of bounds patrick stevens giving chase and mourinho gives to mckechnie mckechnie turns it over longmeadow crosses up mckechnie cachovia will step in and help out and it goes up ahead sonny mazza giving chase he'll keep it in and cross it looking for cortina goalie steps in it's loose and he grabs it oh a lot going on on that player spartans get their best chance since quarter number one oh nifty little move there oh he's going through the whole team almost mckechnie gets it out of there played off the chest four minutes to go in the game oh someone's really happy for ryan yes some loud cheers there oh it's the people that are in the bushes over there that's something where you see the three like in the bushes that's hilarious imagine having to just sneak out if you told me five years ago that this is where we'd be i tell you you're crazy but yeah here we are there are girls standing in the bushes yelling for orion that's 20 20 for you 20 20 in a nutshell definitely not my favorite senior year but you know what i'm happy to be here calling the action no place i'd okay there's a lot of places that i maybe rather be but i'm enjoying myself and that's all that matters yeah just happy we're healthy yep that is also a great point as sonny gets his ball absolutely blocked ryan brunell checks into the game for evans why would you take evans out this is why you don't coach brennan well i'm just trying to understand his coaching oh oh cause he's visibly in pain as your coach almost gets drilled and mckechnie will have a free kick he's dribbling it and he stops i i don't know i don't know what's going on here i mean it's kicked out long metal coach kills a few seconds off the clock there with that nifty little shindig he did [Music] brunel plays it back for cacovia cacovia sends it along i hope that's stevens but i don't know yeah that's stevens 2 12 to go time winding down fast spartans need to pull some magic out referee throws up the x um okay oh that must mean stop clock ah and longmeadow playing it can't be cut off but now mazza we're running does that little move there loses it there was a touch so long metal turns it over and now kokovia giving defense longmeadow it's cut off by sweeney and played off the body [Music] ow that was vincenzo mazza he just took a hard shot to the leg that was the ankle i'd say that's part of the leg i was just saying more specifically okay doctor but he is visibly in pain diane out there quickly now i'm no soccer expert but i'm pretty sure you take a knee here probably wrong yeah i haven't seen a card given out this game it's one thing that reminds me 115 to go our score is one to zero the lancers lead it and we'll be right back you [Music] and we're back enzo mazza being helped off the field by two of his coaches brennan if you could lower your mic that would be greatly appreciated but enzo mazza visibly in a lot of pain we hope he recovers soon but yeah definitely hurting is this low enough for it it's fine yeah well look at it it's touching my chin looks like i'm going to chin state and sweeney one minute remaining in the ball game one minute mazda does a nice little move there and plays it up for mourinho lost by sonny mckechnie oh gets it over to mazza cut off mckechnie another try at it right off the third time's a charm gets it to kikovia and spartans just yeah they need to get something quickly as we go into the last 30 seconds ball goes out of bounds with a spook oh that was close to a head ball i think he realized he was about to do that and then he put his head down 20 seconds to go spartans ball is cleared out bald sacks so we thank you for joining us in we hope you enjoyed our first live broadcast devon dobeck alongside brian mclaughlin jamie rook behind the camera thank you for welcoming us into your homes and on behalf of all of us here at lcap brennan mclaughlin alongside devin dobeck the voice of the spartans we'll see you tomorrow night girls soccer at 7.

interesting do you know what it stands for no that's why i asked well i understood what you were saying but like i don't know the letters if that's like does each letter haven't if you know what asmr stands for please don't uh hesitate to reach out on the live youtube chat we are we'd really like to know if we have a confirmation on what asmr is but um spartans go with a four or nothing lead it's getting a little chilly out here yeah i'm like shaking right now my feet are cold once again 55 degrees coming up on halloween time what are you guys going to be for halloween i thought halloween was canceled um you can't cancel it i know but like technically it's canceled right technically i'm still gonna i mean technically i can still go to the store and buy candy and then eat it that doesn't sound like halloween that just sounds depressing yeah that's just like yikes that sounds like that sounds like a phone call therapist and maybe a gym membership in the near future a whole bag of candy is not advised because if you're watching this fruits and veggies are good why do i come back to these games crickets and so i wasn't cricket there's just grace chomping on some lettuce so it's played up ahead smith kicks it back to cachovia includes it up ahead fresno tries to touch it to smith and we are out of sound oh we're back with tom we have sound once again dude freeman's loving himself i'm here all night you want to know about tv show zone monday night bachelor watch party it's the bachelorette i thought the bachelorette watch party i'm so pumped i don't wait no that's not that's not gonna validate the troops and we're gonna watch um claire's season it's gonna be good see like i enjoy the bachelor more than the bachelorette but that's just me i can't say i've seen either of them okay grace if we could have your microphone inside hey could you hear me no i was i was just saying you need to watch that grace you gotta watch bachelor beat i'll have to do that i've seen like the bachelor in paradise though that's good trail no no no i watch all the bachelor every bachelor listen to your heart oh yeah bachelor games bachelor in paradise bachelor bachelorette you name it oh on demand live hulu i still don't have power interesting is that a report from once you're kevin mclaughlin yep [Music] and so now she could be making a move and now on the side with it okay um darth vader air b we're going to need to check into that i don't know who it is that was me you must say i i i usually hear myself and i caught myself down blame brennan oh that's the no it was me all right and there's going to be two spartans giving chase but the keeper is going to get to this one first okay okay there's two spartans one two not before it literally was emma running at the ball i believe it was just emma there was another one on the side wow brennan got a point shot goes on goal that's about to say if she scored that just whenever i'm right good things happen it seems shout out mr o'connor designated ball watcher for the night good for him he's not wearing his glasses wait a minute they're on his head whoa i haven't seen that before sounds like we have this conspiracy i've never seen without glasses they're on his head no like but on his face yeah i guess he's never seen that brody shaved his beard yeah when he showed up to work that day without a beard on his face i was like whoa who am i looking that was wild i was like who is this he walked into pineal and i was like wow what a guy oh final chicopee now forming a little triangle there how about that terminology pretty good huh yeah that was good devin thank you don't give it man i mean i'm not gonna lie though that's some good soccer i know terms right there tackle right there oh that's a touch of a tackle there's no slide tackling allowed either was there slide tackling in girl soccer still cause i feel like that was a rule i mean like you i think you could no one really did it though that's more for like like professionals i guess so you're saying i could probably do it yeah definitely definitely yeah definitely definitely you should play soccer i would just be going for something i was nasty at soccer when i was younger good for that it wasn't intelligent i was supposed to be i was supposed to be the next big thing that i blew out my knee in fourth grade it hasn't been the same ever since what was the travel team called about the pioneer valley that's that's yeah that's that's called dominated i was all pioneer valley one team all pro you name it they gave me the title for it i actually so after this rush i'll tell you a quick story of that oh yikes oh it's cold night i decided now you know what i'm not gonna do my story of when i decided to stop playing soccer because and tanzarity walks in gets a shot away okay fire away like it went in firewood i i realized it was my time to stop playing soccer when a guy took a shot and i was playing defense and i ducked and it went in and my coach pulled me off the field i realized in that moment that this was not my sport i should probably learn a new sport that was uh yeah that was my soccer career when i blew out my knee i was never the same player i didn't hear any knee blowing and that's not i don't know because i came back because you know you just gotta and i was just never i'm just so afraid all the time because yeah of the tragedy i went through that's tough to rehab from any injury i mean you're what the soccer world is not the same now without mr eisenberg devin nobeck i mean i could probably walk on but nah i see like i feel like you get smacked around if you're on the field during this game right now that's a lie because i'd be the only one out there with the toe and they wouldn't know no no that's your secret weapon the towel oh that is the weapon there's no secret it's all in the toe i'd like to differ he's very underutilized agreed to disagree all the power i thought i thought you said there was no power in it it was kind of like a knuckle ball yeah a powerful knocker nothing like that yeah but most knuckle balls aren't powerful depends how you oh and rebound president can't convert she gives the post a little hug there i'm gonna need to sanitize that at some point this tv thank you for welcoming us into your homes we're having a great time we hope you are too nine minutes ago and quarter number three spartans lead four nothing devin dobeck alongside brennan mclaughlin with grace trudeau and jamie rook beyond the camera and mr brian freeman also giving us two sets behind me having a great time um and so president all giving pressure there connor tries to step up now ball spits out to smith she's body off the ball and then does a little handball yes sir not allowed to touch it with your hands grace did not know that one you're welcome it's not like she played varsity soccer for four years but that's for me i wouldn't like to see how the team would have been if i stayed if i never blew up my leg the soccer team i think they would have done just fine i think we would have won states i'm not going to i feel like they probably would have won a game just because of your presence shot on goal from katanas already oh she's oh my gosh he has literally been robbed four times four like i'm impressed it's just not ideal like she could double the spartan goals but she's just not getting any luck tonight some bad luck tonight it happens she'll be back she'll be back she'll she'll score one at some point if she uses the toe that is yeah don't know about that one debatable yep i mean i won't hate on it until i see it happen all right midfield 9 pm i'm gonna just launch one 50 yards i hope you break your foot some races oh that was emma big goal what'd i say call me tony romo that's all i'm going to say emma contanzeridi makes it five nothing yeah can can we just have a football game right here and i would just love to call out what i think is going to happen and see if i'm tony romo or not and oh my goodness the wire's supposed to be yeah it is lead five nothing seven minutes to go katan zuriti gets on the board haley brown and ainsley smith have the other four two apiece and emma will check out someone explained to brennan why they're wearing pink pennies on the sidelines why to me i feel like i have my earnest no no no so then you can tell who the subs are so someone doesn't accidentally pass to them and also so the refs know what about people wearing black jackets okay i feel like that's distinctly melanoma they're not on the field too you know it's it's the look you know someone's blind and well that's tough you hate to see it breast cancer awareness of what we're going with no i'm i'm vlogging with that all right i forgot i asked so gabby michalski gets the assist on the goal by katanza reedy 6 25 and counting to go in quarter three spartans in control of this one now serious question here do you guys see the moon because i don't do you think it's behind us i still see mars yeah do you want me to go check you know it's all good i'm just curious you know yeah that's what i'm guessing it's a great observation brandon [Music] i'm just not gonna speak yeah it's god i'm not good no i'm just kidding there though the coldest one 11 degrees was that at night time shaking my boots was that at night no that's not say something it was 11 degrees during the day thanks we got a little beef going on right now yeah that's usually always happening welcome to the team it's usually like oh she puts on the jets see if so 18 is that la julia yes yeah okay okay o'connor over there he's just he's got a stepson he's probably warm right now you can see everyone's like breath on the field it's kind of stick fog effect okay who's number thirteen um aiden maeve i believe in maeve bradley if that's her name i think i know her first name's aiden maybe i'm not sure about her last name though wait a minute that's a long name imagine writing that like on a test every single time that yeah there's a good chess ball a chester justera just there chester and trying to make the play there is mecha good little shimmy there and oh is that a step over no she met her i believe oh my goodness right through the legs oh yeah she yeah oh oh oh oh she just can't trap it i know natalie o'connor gets it out great play made by connor i mean if i had something chances are that would happen all right officers we got him and now she could be crossing it it's cut off by weiss and now kokovia will send it down couldn't get it up to smith and now stepping into that one bridget jordan can't feed it up ahead to boyd's sid connor cuts it off and it'll come back to kokovia she'll give it back to the keeper defloreo i gotta get that name down three minutes ago i just thought about this it's only gonna get colder as the night goes on i really just i'm not going to be here much longer brennan it's literally the smartest man alive i have to i wow i just love to state the obvious it seems like really i don't like dinner time you know connor trying to get it and she gets it to smith oh that was a good ball boydston now on a breakaway she tries to send it for ava presnot couldn't get there that was a good thigh ball there and smith getting it away too so good what yeah trying to get it through to fresno and there was a touch can't do that two minutes to go quarter three spartans still with a five-nothing lead in control most of the night here five nil ew i mean i don't want to have to break out the british accent but i could definitely do it if it's in high demand i mean i guess go for it i'm thinking about it because it's five nothing devin's voice is usually already gives me a headache i feel like british could really do a toll on my head no comment yeah get this man a tylenol leave me alone the orange kirkland brand one those are the boss brennan probably can't even swallow pills you probably like drinking gemini the tj like crushes him on the spoon i had to teach you how to swallow talking about me right now i did teach you how to it's ironic remember sophomore year i did when i gave you a pill you're like i can't have this yeah i had i remember i was really sick during the winter honestly could have been covered i don't know you couldn't swallow a pill during english uh i don't know about that one dude your eyes started tearing up because it tasted so bad probably because i coughed up the water and i had a cough don't do drugs kids yeah i was just popping yeah cold med in class 10 seconds to go let me hear the sirens clock's going to bleed out here on quarter number three our score is five nothing hello and we'll be right back for the fourth quarter of action here on lcat sounding siren like it sounded cool right oh i wonder why that is oh oh god was your sour cream bread that was it mine sour cream it's probably queso or so okay welcome back into east longmeadow high school five nil is our score the spawns the song meadow controlling this one against the chicopee pacers i hated every second brendan mclaughlin grace trudeau stop this was definitely not a bet for me to do this voice we'll see how long it'll last should we all just whip out our british accents oh i don't have an accent do you have one nope brennan's probably got a scottish accent see i don't want to test it football football put a shrimp on the bobby oh no no way that's australian wow that's i think that's from dumb and dumber oh 20 minutes to go here in the finale of what has been a one-sided contest that was good thank you thank you what do they say like cheerio thank you in british hello i could use some tea after this game i was gonna say that a hot chocolate anyone no british people i could go for hot chocolate i hate every second oh my god 20 minutes left you say 20 different every time it just comes with the accent what was that uh now we have a whistle and a free kick of the food bottle [Music] they both touched at the same time closing in on fit eight degrees left you say that number for me one more time for e and ball is kicked away and martin kicks it up to la julia she can't control that one kick the head and sticking with it now it's sent in and the floor eo lets it go out of bounds okay so that was a good minute luckily i got the american back i lose my mind really so cold my teeth are chattering right now very brisk apparently according to report it is 13 degrees back for every viewer that we have right now i am sorry we did not expect this the viewers love me okay why did you pause but they love yours yeah the view is because that's the accent before you said anxi and then now it's accent what's another thing that british would say and a ball goes on net it's cleared out by martin great play made there and what do british people typically say that americans do not so we've been over like three of them that's a good question um oh oh they're on the pitch right now what does that mean that's what they call the football like the football field like they call it the pitch that's fun fact check freeman's not loving that one they do call it the pitch and we're gonna have a direct kick great um not really sure they look like they're about like they sprint right at they seem scary i would not want to be with all them lining up at me it's like they're gonna unleash a stampede holy cow oh god i'm there let's think about yeah oh oh oh oh you can't do that that's illegal is it redo freeman you stop the clock for what the 20 people that are in attendance i would say 22.

i can't even focus i'm counting his sniffles per minute meanwhile john swenton is cheating on the quiz just two seats over and it's shot on goal that picture i got of him was iconic no i got the video of him i i got one too so yeah that now we have double who's he cheating off of well i don't know but it was the i i'll show you at a half oh it's keeley oh i want to kill it video you'll ever see and now matcha plays it back for katanza reedy trying to move it up i believe that's slo julia that's a fun name i can't say it so hula hoop all you got to do to remember it i mean that's if we're saying it right that'd be really awkward if we weren't wow lily's really just chilling she's just see now wouldn't it be good if the other team got the ball right now because then they could just chip it yeah hopefully lily has some good speed so cut move made by brown oh that's wow great goal there four nothing east long meadow brown and ainsley smith with two apiece spartans lead four or nothing it's definitely as many goals as we scored last year in the whole season honestly i'm just making a point you guys won seven games that's a lot yeah we also had all division one teams so we didn't really have a chance to play a team that like wasn't good so so you're saying we're not good no no no no no no no no we had an excellent team last year excellent sarcasm no we did we came down to some other factors that we're not going to mention by shout out beanie homegirl she had a a good boot on her she did score a lot of field goals but i mean another person part of the pk family walking yes shout out pk gets one away wow emma's been snake bitten tonight okay the scoreboard might be four or nothing but chicopee has made some good saves their keeper yeah they've been having a tough time offensively but what is a good save percentage in soccer i i would assume pretty high since it's not but like no because i think how many shots there are and then like there's like so few shots and then like i mean i don't think there's an average number if that's what you're asking you're telling me there's not an average saving i mean i'm sure if you googled it i'm sure a number would pop up but uh like a lot of work i don't know that on the top of my head unfortunately like in professional games i don't really watch a lot do they get a lot of shots i went to one revolution game and i was kind of like not happy that i was there for a soccer game not a football game but it was 4-3 so that's a high score so i was like kind of enjoying myself and let me tell you these soccer fans get pretty loud i think last time i watched the soccer games on the women's usa team won the world cup i watched when the men's team lost to like portugal or something the men's usa team is not the best yeah we apologize clint dempsey if you're tuning in please excuse my colleague and it's pulled out by brooke martin and we're back 10 seconds to go the clock will most likely bleed out here unless chicopee can kick it into sport bleed out that's some good personification right there right isn't that what that term is sure south spartans with a four nothing lead thanks to two goals from brown and two from ainsley smith we'll be back for the second half here on lcat oh that's awesome oh um thank you please i just saw it raining you
