none all those in favor of approving the minutes as distributed indicate by saying hi hi hi folks abstentions I'm sane okay motion carries in four zero two with Lisa and Linda up standing okay next order of business report of the course allotment see the budget season is upon us and tomorrow we will be sending both the Board of Selectmen and the board finance the first elections budget most of you have already got the supporting documentation for the budget you can only stop by my office if you haven't gotten it yet and will hand those out Ginny has them for all the other board members there is a vote on February 27th for the new library appropriation we are driving on the mountain vote your conscience right do that we're going through the audit now the Audit Committee as we're working with our auditor as well as our finance staff that is on time we're still on target to what we said the last time we went through this and a lot of other things going on I found out today at a Westcott meeting that unless the state transportation fund these new revenue sources it's going bankrupt they can't borrow money to do capital improvements that is I didn't realize this but dramatically she said that if that does happen and they don't fix their funding problem that will lose Town Road eight next year water almost $300,000 cut to what the state gives it out so we'll see the Legislature's back in session so hopefully they'll be doing wonderful good things for all the towns in Connecticut but we don't know and that's pretty much it that's doesn't it tolls right for this data linkage a couple things we've seen polls too is increasing the price of taxes on gasoline the state lowered the price the tax on gasoline from 39 cents only 23 cents in 1993 and has not changed it since then as I already said at all if it was just indexed for inflation it would be back at 39 cents a gallon there we've had a number of different funding sources some of them make sense to me some don't tolls anybody's and favorite polls but if they don't find new funding sources bus passes are going to go up by 50% train rides are gonna go up 26% I believe he said over the next two years so it's it's they gotta fix it he's waiting for the legislature to come up with the facts easy implements right so he's waiting for the legislature to do that and hopefully when legislature given the bushes that they have will do something I don't know if anybody's in favor of polls since house they're necessary evil sometimes did I answer your question anything to report in four corners or anything going on in the design phase for phase two we went through state met in this state in December and we're insisting that we change our design to meet the state standards so we're doing that yeah and with not something I wanted to do but we're going to do that so Freeman is our consultant they're very good they're redesigning that we hope they go out to bid this fall to December period and then start person in the spring did you say last time that there's a little or no cost increase to do this except for the cost of additional asphalt yeah no there's no no no additional costs for Phase two and it's two thirds funded with federal tap grant which is good and that will go from Brooklyn village down to the hearth then phase three which are already working on we'll go from the intersection up to Newberry village and page four will go from federal road up lorilynn Road and also old route seven which connects Laurel Hill to federal road also where the Jerry's landing is and Angelo's dry cleaners as well put sidewalks in there too there is going to be a everyone is invited June 5th a celebration groundbreaking for the streetscape and moco village we're going to do a combination one we've talked to the developer of broker village and he will right now he's going to have the mother earth building and a subway building knocked down by then so that'll look a lot nicer make with some plants in there and things so it's not quite crazy his rentals are going very well for the apartments the commercial is moving along as fast as he'd like but it is moving along he does have one restaurant he's got an ice cream store he's got subway and a couple others he hasn't told us about we had three on development we have a development services team meaning at least once a month where we invite developers to come in and although our land use zoning health fire police Public Works sits around the table and helps developers okay this is what I want to do and then we say okay you can do this this is how you do that this how you do that just try to speed development we had three different projects come in this Tuesday one is a like tapas bar it's seven seven seven across one of the current Dunkin Donuts in the old pumpkin doughnuts and they have a pretty neat idea they want to do the garage doors and then outdoor seating and a fire pit which would be really nice and so we're looking forward to that it should be fun we have another Italian restaurant wants to come in right where the yogurt peach right is beach wave has a ton of space in there that until we change the zoning laws because they only had 12 parking spaces you can only have so many square feet of restaurant or facility we change the zoning on that because it doesn't make any sense in a town center people can park on the street and walk up so he's there's a pizza guy and it's going to be like a fast food pizza but not like a McDonald's but limited menu quick service you can eat there or takeout that should be interesting their pizza counter yes it I like pizza that's pretty much it okay not a lot they don't have any questions comments concerns for the first flex that question with the sweet seat is there any kind of I've heard people ask about the additional part the parking issues if there's potential for parking there is but I'd rather not discuss that in public you because we're talking about a contract you could call an executive session at the end of this meeting and we can discuss it this is a regular meeting right so you could add that if you want and I'd be more in the moment in fact I do want to discuss it where it's very early days but I'd like to keep you up to date I'm overdue thank you thank you all right next order of business report from our finance sector hi good evening at the period seven financial Negro race is at variance be brothers the main driver on the revenue is the tax collection 52 million the expenses we have recycling at 61% 23,000 469 operations in human resource at 71% sqc the volunteer fighter fighter - Fulminante outs and the service gift awards the regional service is at 84% sir also PP items Regional Animal Control probate court of king with a Kothari profile veteran sweetheart senior transportation and HUD CEO the video social services at hundred percent additional prepaids authorities beyond disabilities the Women's Center hospice employee benefits at 61 percent that's the life insurance Medicare the health insurance with a projected overage for the department at 90 K and the injury of memento of the open reserve which was the annual contribution was funded at 100 percent do you see it is at risk of going over well we had mentioned last time that the employee benefits line move over in two areas that would be in the health insurance and the life insurance right [Music] you that you new ones at this moment so it all pretty steady as she goes from last night right now yes the overage in benefits of 90k do we have somewhere else we have savings elsewhere for that and you keep on but we will have usually have some savings or I'm saying and we can make a determination at that point if we go over though the let's say next month and golden budget let me have address it application but we're not over yet we'll get get over until the last monthly public this soup here - just do you know every year that's the source of the projection inside very cute they came to the back of information and they re medical for them it's not as good as when you decide to come over to the town plan but usually you do that once a year for existing employees but when we get new employees and you know we're losing employees we lost another employee last week maybe not fixed expenses I anticipate some fluctuation throughout the year so no way under the last year was a big difference because I was just missing you her any other questions for the finance director on the period 7 financials was there food there anything else well actually yes I wanted to revisit this schedule of expenditures were capital that I had presented in September of 2016 because I believe it ruler is the schedule similar to what the other day we were looking for and I really do wish everyone a chance to view it and get some feedback to possibly reintroduce it so I don't know if I have enough coffee here as it [Music] no gears you know we've been doing capital projects one off is to keep track of all the pending projects in one place so you can see exactly where we are right yes where everybody can see it's not a novel idea but it's a good idea it's the best practice yeah I say yeah okay so this game in here would provide both illusions really only only tool because I'd be able to back into this and to walk us through this please sure so if every night they are depleted in my department in determining obviously usually three departments here but we would expand on it and it would have the agreeing budget and now the expended crew year today any open purchase orders delay total borrowing the type of borrowing we have and then the projected budget or balance and the ayatollahs spent today so this would be updated if we were to utilizes sheet I would probably like I'll plate up to be it every month and reported every quarter and then at the year at year n digit I out to that fund so we would go to those individual GL line items and be able to tie to these specific projects or asset purchase would just to make it a cleaner system so we're using capital projects module I'm you to snap so that feeds into this and this is just a more user-friendly format for it because munis reports are a little wonky and clunky we discover their own you know issue today it seems that when we did the you color conversion that so did the capital project through the schools that had previously been broken out and in alpha coding and have been combined into one jail line-item so now we have to go back and separate those out and reclass them and I'm going to set a project code so that we can track them so the idea then would be to go to these individual items and entire to the specific project codes okay would you anticipate having this updated well the Board of Finance gives the approval I'd like to get going on it right away like two scientists one of my staff to start implementation I already spoke to one of them today junior staff about I'm going back and doing the reclassification so I would say because I'm going through the budget the audit right now that we come to you after the end of the first quarter this setup they have any quick changes they'd like to recommend to this there won't only thing that I would add to this is grants a lot of projects we have grants Circo is a track that from the cost they're now getting pushed under notes bar nope I would like to see my person would like to see a separate comp because you got your budget while we extended so far right balance grants so we know the last column should be in total spent today and then total spent today by the town's which is important time so we figure out some way to to show the grants so we know exactly how much we're spending an example on Meadowbrook right is that the total cost was right around two million but 1,700,000 of that was paid for with a grant so this looks like this is back in 16 so this needs to be updated that there's still 1 million $163,000 right yet to spend and that project is finished and our total cards about 300,000 right this was for the board I think to review the format of not the necessary content from what I remember we looked at this last year the year before there was no easy way to look at this and see what's left mm-hmm what was to go for 4 projects right and I think that was cool the primary columns that wasn't there like this is the budget right this is what we spent on and regardless of the funding let's say so how much is left so the budget balance so usually there or no if we're not going to spend a dime more than the budget then yeah it would just be a spending to go remaining to spend balanced to spend like that so we know we know what's outstanding for these projects right how much how much commitment there is outstanding you know isn't that this cold here though with the green site and I can do that separate as amazing to over this board but now I'm going to be that would be mixing funds so to prove this out just to that particular capital fund and you have to vend you to several reporters every immigrants in but if that's if that's what you want want to see that I can I can do that because if you circle back to your line items that includes the grant in other words on your other report is that what you're saying the grants are the grantor track and a separate fund of this is for me this is capital so we're using the capital projects module for revenue and expense right gets associated with that capital project including the grant that's a separate report the light data and then just bars it may be reproduced many females for this particular project yeah I'm talking about something just for capital could this system that we had in place now is not good I'm gonna be honest with you so you know needs to be updated yeah I'm just having trouble kind of walking the numbers to me you know when I see the approved budget I expect that the end yet either to be what's remaining but even as I'm looking at each column I'm not really sure how they what the relationship is between Collins and I because the press release balance which is where expenditures Kearney here fashion that do you mean that's expended year-to-date I still yeah I fit right right sorry but if you look at like the Meadowbrook project right it says total spent to date 1 million nine hundred sixty three most people would say that's what the town spent that's not correct so somewhere you have to put the grandson even if we do it manually it's we don't have 3,000 projects right right and not all I'm all about 30 or 40 projects we have in the works they have grants easier I think let's play with it well we have we do have an ad hoc report committee you know that can I think take a look at this and come back to our March meeting is that does that sound good for those that run the ad hoc before committee yeah and then we can approve if you will a format on this with okay you know anyway wanted you to reports because I have to tie into fun date it has to be straight up so it's time to get to several funds one for the grants and one for the capital projects so what you're saying you want one report to tide your capital projects out pull it out of your ledger and then a second report to tie to your grants and then you could have something kind of puts them all together on some graphical presentation it's useful we can do that that's extensive but yes yeah give the little holder comes you said tighten up because I'm in it the map this is it make sense to go and turn in here okay that's right got it okay so our ad hoc reporting committee can take a look at and send some recommender put together some recommendations that we can assess in the prove that our March 19th meeting or whatever the meeting is I'm sorry I'll call that's it for me right okay thank you for that is there anything else to go over committee yeah and the question is for me I'd like Steve's idea where you have a notation that shows that the project is completed because that helps us see whether we came in under budget or where we landed so I like that idea Steve where you show that the project is finished yeah I think that support you can morph into the layout thank you every for I'm trying to try into the issue into the capital to have all three time so the issue book go to ban roll the bonds fun date so we'll have to anyone need to reports let's see what the CR okay ad hoc reporting committee comes back with it along this time okay alright if nothing else there move on to reports of our committees our audit committee editing has some things to report certainly so it's been a an active month for the audit committee as part of the best practice that we've implemented I'm sure it was done previously but we've had weekly update calls between the audit committee and the auditor without management on the phone which is a recommended best best way to do it so we can you know have frank conversations and made it and then we've also met with Steven Kimberly to go over just healthy to learn as well so it's been active the audit is is actually a bit delayed so we're going to need another extension the the schedule was to be finishing up the fieldwork this week doing the reports over the next couple of days and then you should eat to the to the board by the end of February per the auditor today at timeline is not to be met it's going to be first half of March days and you ready to go so well today we told me at noon well Claire will clarify that so he said that city another another full week of fieldwork okay and then a week for him to draft his report and then go over with a large committee and and presented to the board so that's that's a schedule I for this afternoon okay so well we still have another week or so for date a month but we should prepare for another extension the source of the delay and the source of some of the issues is combination of there's been some some unexpected stab absences due to sickness due to weather that caused some some delay in getting getting reports done and there's also been some some issues with some of the some of the auto work that took more time from the partner in the manager that was then was originally expected so we worked through that that seems to be back on track and now it's back to doing regular on at work starting next week get-get-get the thing doctor so that's where we are so probably going to be in the middle of our budget deliberations time timeline that we also give you a lot of presentation so it's gonna be very very busy March so have to figure out that schedule let's look at our own that our meeting calendar yeah can see we can squeeze in it will work with the new chair of the Audit Committee to make sure that we have a slot in there that agrees with Kimberly Steve our board mr.

Lucas and do whose life all right is there anything for any any questions or comments for the audit committee all right if we have to do the extension because it was gonna be up this month wasn't it yes yeah so you might wanna make a motion tonight right not necessary we discussed with we discussed with the auditor and they don't there's nothing that requires us to do that we can be done between auditor I know how about that okay so I understand that yeah listen what happens I'll do tomorrow with accent okay well it seems to have been a formality that was carried forward without great purpose so let's not do busy work okay is there anything to report from the bylaws committee okay I think with folks being on the board for a couple months now you can start to few other our procedures and whatnot so if there are already recommendations that come forward these please below we can we can discuss them and take measures you know with Council to implement them seem a little business on the agenda we can move right on to new business we had a request from chief Purcell fold it to the board so I've been forwarded to equal to finance to fund sous Auckland and associate annual fees is there a motion on the floor for this and I get emotional sure album will be seven recommendations to prorate the bonds of a software okay okay so there's a motion on the floor to approve the request from the board selectmen for any amount not to exceed $4,000 from the police outside services fund to purchase software and associated annual fees as outlined in a memo that was distributed to everyone for a free read are there any questions chief purcell is not here to answer anything but i believe given the sculpt and it has been approved by the Board of Selectmen that Steve would be all dancer anything if there is yeah I talk to you chief result about this and this is really just an evaluation and tracking for the training of their officers the old system is dying it's not being supported anymore it's $4,000 this is a well known system and I think it's a reasonable expensive service board any further discussion on this item okay human I will call this motion - of all those in favor of the appropriation and then how not to exceed four thousand dollars and the police department outside services funding the first a software associated annual fees in making by saying hi I opposed abstentions great motion carries six so are there any other items to come before the board here no I make a motion to amend the agenda to include an executive session to discuss Yahoo the motion I was emotional Akana that's McIlvain 27 Longmeadow I'm chairman of the library board I'm here because at last month's meeting in the financial report the library salary line was listed as being a driver for being over budget by I think it was 58% at that point which we thought it's likely that the the budget would have gone over will go away for a little this year but certainly not by that amount and mr. Murray questioned whether or not the library had to make it up which is the logical question and the answer is yes which mr.

Dunn said so it was our problem I went back to the director and we looked at her records and according to what she could get out of munis we were at fifty point eight percent but that might rather than fifty eight percent which meant that we would be fine doing it the way we were their wisdom there were some inconsistencies in reporting which is what what caused Kimberly to as being over budget I guess what what and if we're very conscious of it because we do keep track and if there is problems in and it will gets to see what then we need to know that the director clearly needs to up track the budget in the same terms that it's being tracked in town hall so so I think those have been ironed out now so we know what the problem was and we're finding with that I I guess what I would ask is that we you think about if something's going to be on that list for a driver with a problem that you let us know ahead of time so that we could clear that question up I mean I know it's it's not terrible but it is then particularly in the first year of Yvonne check being director she's very conscious about keeping us on track so I just think it would be easier if we looked at those things that a head of time I agree with you first time thank you thank you it's all resolved the issue in that yes so they were not over by 50 they were not 58% to budget as of last month I think as reported last month it was fifty point month before it was the higher different reporting techniques so we do go back and look but I believe economic corrected marginally to the finance to pick up where we are where we just were make a motion to amend the agenda to include an executive session to discuss a matter of real estate I'll second okay discussion okay all those in favor of amending the agenda indicate by saying aye aye opposed abstentions okay motion carries six oh and we will enter into executive session you need to invite myself more like you really in John Lucas absolutely you might not see life [Music]

[Music] hello and welcome to day two of the weary McIntyre classical your effort he'll help widows this tournament with John Lauren's on oh I am Alex salute oh thank you for joining us on on YouTube it was a tough game last night for the Panthers they lost a bishop Fenwick and it really wasn't close after the second chip defense really stifled the offensive attack and really took over in that second half and when we talked about is they needed a third person to get involved on offense and it just couldn't happen and when you face the higher levels of competition it's hard to just have two people run the offense exactly they lost that game 61 to 45 Moreland had 20 to 12 boards and four blocks 15 points added from Anderson so 37 out of Beverly's 45 points scored by two girls yeah and you know some of the starters to that you look to Beaudry and Barnard to get on the boards they couldn't really even get on the boards until the third quarter so even though it's kind of a couple of points we even talked about that come from the merit that didn't even come to the second half exactly but luckily they have a team tonight in the consolation game that they are familiar with the Gloucester fisherman team that lost pretty pretty badly yesterday in the first round to mask Oh believe it was 71 to 40 it was a thrashing that Masco had put on this Gloucester team this is a team Beverly beat early on in the season that you come 6248 at the end of January and Bernard came up huge in that game led the team in scoring with 17 points and five boards it'll be interesting to see if she can do that again because we talked about somebody else besides Anderson and Moreland stepping up on this team yeah absolutely I think the big thing to watch today is the initial start and what kind of energy you see from the Panthers and motivation levels and you don't like to say that that's a factor you like to see you're motivated for every game but they've been a lot of basketball lately they have a lot coming up and you know it's tough coming back against the team that beat you already and you probably expected to have a better performance than what they did last night they were probably what they were hoping for I think motivation is gonna be a key thing to watch today if they play the way they should you know they should handle this Kloster team absolutely and our producer Robert was here early he came early to set up and he said he saw coach tangel out here with the team not just running drills but pretty much running a full practice really driving into them what they want to do this is a very important game for the Panthers they got to win this it's all about seeding the seasons not over you definitely want to win a consolation game here and this is the first of four games today obviously this is the consolation game the championship game will be played later consolation boy's game will be coming up next we will not be televising that but that will be the Gloucester fishermen in Bishop Fenwick Crusaders for the consolation game for the boys then you'll have the girls championship we have that Masco team against the Fenwick team that's gonna be a great one and then tonight at 7:15 we have the Beverly boys facing off against the Masco boys for the championship in the boys division that should be a fun one it should the boys played luck great last night as well they beat up on Fenwick Toscani Abreu had 30 points more than that at 20 and it's gonna be interesting to see because Alyssa Moreland last night she definitely balled out she had 22 and 12 this last game against Gloucester that they played in January she had nine points 16 boards and four blocks so really not doing it on the offensive end of that game only nine points but still coming up big on the boards and on the defensive side with four blocks now that's another thing we saw them lack in the Fenwick game especially down the stretch and it's giving up offensive boards to the Fenwick offense so definitely something to watch tonight you know like you said Sancho having them come out for the whole practice and stuff I think this game is important not just for seeding but also to work the cogs out they look a little rusty at times especially the last couple of games and you know you have that practice and have this team that you know you should be able to be it would be nice to work out the cogs and try and find some way to get another person involved in the offensive attack in they were close last night you said it they were you said it yesterday I believe at the end of the game at the end of the second quarter they were down three and then two quick threes came from Fenwick all of a sudden they were down by nine points yeah it wasn't like they were outclassed the entire game and I think some of the things we've talked about with this Beverly team on you know playing down a lesser competition sometimes and stuff I think it's a sign of you this is a very young teams you know they only start maybe like one senior sometimes in Rosie gosh so yeah and their starting lineup tonight they're sitting down you can see we're gonna have same five Beaudry and Anderson then you have Gaucho and Barnard and then Moreland in the middle same is starting five we saw yesterday didn't see a lot of subs until about the second quarter first angels' team and we are going to be playing the national anthem today first of the four games always has a national anthem [Music] be introducing starting lineups momentarily not really a big crowd right now a huge one yesterday the Gloucester starting lineup we have number four Courtney good she's a junior you have Beatrice Sumner another junior on this team's forward windy shrug senior guard [Applause] Claire Knowlton the senior board a little cousin one of my best friends growing up oh really oh yes very good Melvin she's a junior she'll be manning the middle she'll has always a place to watch a lot of every team's gone up against more like exactly it's gonna be fun to watch and we've already mentioned the Beverly lineups but we'll do it again we have Beaudry and Anderson at the guards Bernard and Gaucho running the forwards and then of course Alissa Moreland in the middle Bernard had a big game against Gloucester the last time they played by beating - watch - if she can get going and be that third person down the stretch they're going to need when they face Revere or Alvarado co-rec up absolutely at least another one maybe not - we'll see if Beaudry can get the scoring going she wasn't much of a factor ovens were either yesterday she was getting trapped by that press that family was putting on and again a lot of credit to Fenwick yesterday that defense was very quick very aggressive they just pushed the pace from the minute the game started absolutely we're gonna get this game going soon officials tonight we have Terry dusty David Marr gaussian and liz brakes actually talked with Margo seen beforehand he likes to watch his game so he's gonna watch this over he likes to see how broadcasters feel about certain calls that he makes and I like that oh really yeah because he said whether we would agree with him or not on the broadcast it's something that he wants to look at a review and she the other point of view I think that someone take their job very seriously absolutely definitely the best conversation I've ever had with a referee I don't really get along with many of them but um it was very very pleasant one definitely loves what he does you got to appreciate that I do because it makes us feel better it makes me feel worse when I'm yelling them with a microphone on too and one easily by Moreland I don't think Fenwick's coach would agree with your assessment that no I doc I absolutely agree yesterday was a debacle it was definitely a head scratcher in that first quarter see if Gloucester has just as much trouble as Fenwick did guarding Moreland gonna her quickly good take by Moreland and easy to assisted by Bernard and Moreland religious speed advantage she took some more right off the dribble she couldn't do anything about it summer almost losing that one drops it down trying to kick it out it's good for three and it's good that's gonna be fun to say absolutely three points for Courtney good puts Gloucester on top early three to two nice play by hailey to keep that in bounds Bernard mid-range J got it there we go [Music] good start for Bernard again and gets it lost 13 she definitely remembers the kotappa game she had good for three offensive board a foul and one fouls gonna be Levon Moreland yep actually it's gonna be on Bernard and shrunk at the line trying to complete the three-point play and she does Anderson a quick three doesn't get it to fall but Moreland grabs the board the putback she's fouled she'll shoot two and Moreland hit a lot of her free throws yesterday I believe he had seven total in that game last night yeah something like that she started great early on too but I think it was it was still a good strategy Fenwick to just realize she's gonna get her points but make her get it at the free-throw line but the Panthers did make it count early on that's what kept him in that game for a lot of it looking at the scoreboard that three-pointer that we thought from good actually was gonna be marked as a - it's what it says up there 5-4 Gloucester lead but block is completely not even going all right looks like we're having some scoreboard issues I picked the one that everyone's looking at at home might be more accurate I definitely agree having some clock issues but it's turned over Beaudry what the seats everyone what speed from Beaudry I thought it was no way that she was gonna get herself alone on that but she got ran three defenders 7:6 Panther lead another foul I believe it's gonna be unburn art again it's her second dance you might have to go to the bench it's gonna be on the floor Bernards gonna stay out there bull dree racing of the corner air ball on that gouge grabs the board he's gonna stay with the Panthers good defense here by Knowlton and Becky is going to give Bernard arrest and they didn't update that three-pointer from good so it is 7 6 the score I was just about to ask if they go take Bernard out I wonder who they'll put in but answer that question quickly they with the book and Gaucho walk there looked like there could have been a foul call but kept the whistle in the pockets letting them play drive from Moulton no good Anderson trying to come away with it summer ends up with it for the fishermen good another three summer with the offensive board and we're gonna get a travel call Beverly bailed out they're allowing another offensive board but it's heard over quickly by the fishermen they're gonna have to they're gonna have to tighten that up they sit down the stretch like what killed them against Fenwick Moreland trying to go down low she does can't knock it down so I'm gonna cut trying to come away with her own board we're gonna have a jump ball possession one actually position goes over to Gloucester she just placed so hard and aggressive down there I I see it so much Hartley's the ball and just get her own rebound absolutely whether it's off a shot or off someone just knocking the ball out of our hands the motors so high that she's just out battling it out working everybody out there in ranks jumper Knowlton off the glass no good gaucho grabbing another board coming up big on the boards in this first quarter Anderson drops it down to Beaudry but Sumner good defense she to flex it Karen with math poetry coming from behind she can't steal it two points more the fishermen scored by schrock she has five in this first quarter Anderson to Beaudry trying to get it down low to Moreland we're gonna kick it out Gaucho she'll slow it down probably there Beaudry deflected again by summer so summer forcing two tips passes but Anderson's gonna win the possession for the Panthers good hustle play there heythis having some problems again turn the ball over on offense getting it over defender sometimes on the trying to get it on the inside Beaudry inbounding Bakey corner three yes Bakey on the board comes in for Bernard immediately hits a three for 25 left to go in the first Beverly leading ten eight she's had the Hut hand lately doing real well from that three-point range another offensive board and Oulton comes away with it sure that's something Stan shil is not happy with so what killed him last night good mid-range jumper no good Moreland with the board she's off to the races she has a Anderson she'll drive guarded by good deflected out of bounds last touched by the Panthers substitutions summer she'll exit rachel Rallo junior guard Andrews game Beverly coming out with a full court man-to-man press like they saw how it worked against them last night trying to force the same thing on their next opponent sometimes that's the best thing steal something from your opponent you know it works three from Bolton good it's also about you know putting the pressure on early on a team that you think you should beat so don't let them settle in and gain any confidence but right now Gloucester is doing a good job Anderson Koch couldn't handle it turnover lost right now with the lead 1110 white hair will enter the first minute comes in forgot before the game for everyone was here saw the girls warming up and they grabbed the microphone because it was on and white hair was on the microphone beatbox and whole team was dancing so they were having a good time getting ready for the game let's that's good to hear make sure that the spirits are still high white hair type D Knowlton ball fake send it out good almost loses it eight on the shot clock might see your chuck up of three someone's gonna have to good defense by Beaudry it's at the buzzer another zip code Moreland just going up there and grabbing it she's off to the races see what she does slows up baekje with it steps back shot got it to go along to another lead change in Beverly again coming out with the pressure Beaudry can't pick that one off but she's quickly back on t as of right now that look that search for the third person looks like it's gonna be Brooke tonight gonna have McCarthy enter the game give Beaudry arrests after that foul in McCarthy did struggle last night in the second and third quarters with some turnover issues Stan shil that might have been deal confident in her might have been the biggest situation that she's been in trying to run the offense we talked about the turnovers down the stretch a lot of that because Beaudry had to leave the game with bowel trouble and they were double teaming as soon as ball was inbounded in the backcourt that that's a tough situation they didn't have any other options but that is a tough situation to put a freshman in we're gonna have a foul on white hair shooting two will be Ruby Melvin Melvyn missing the first knocks down the second all tied at 12 to 24 left to go in the first quarter McCarthy trying to find Anderson almost turns it over she gets it back though kicks it out to Anderson thinking about a three maybe McCarthy in the corner for three no good but offensive board for baekje Anderson a three of her own don't see that very much an air ball from Anderson Vick she's out a rhythm of it that's might be there like the first shot she's taken past half court problems hanging on to the ball on offense again plaguing the Panthers in this first quarter summer long to no good rebound McCarthy she'll take a pick from white hair and shriek up court she finds Moreland in the middle puts her head down blocking foul Moreland will shoot two files gonna go on Knowlton I believe thought she was gonna get the n1 they're the second team foul second time Orleans been in the line [Music] knocks down the second Marshall controlling the ball for the fisherman I'm gonna get a timeout Gloucester head coach drew Muniz so 140 left to go in the first quarter Beverly leading 13 to 12 they just took a point away on the scoreboard for Beverly this is just confusing me it's not good no and they put a pin if you're having problems of other because this one says eight minutes now so I don't know which one is rust right now oh yeah look at that the clock on your screen does say eight minutes left that's not true it's a minute forty they changed the one up here though it's 1312 okay it's a minute forty left to go in the first quarter I'm gonna get that changed right now and in this first quarter a lot of lead changes Moreland leading the actually not leading the Panthers in scoring no Burke Becky is with five and we were looking for that third score besides Marlon Anderson and Bakey responded with five early on it was Bernard Bernard and Beaudry have both buckets of their own I think the story though for the Panthers again is turnovers on the offensive side of the ball I've really kept Gloucester around at the end of this game a player from each team will be named to the all-tournament team they do that for all the games so play from Beverly or play from Gloucester only name to the teams and then in campion's if game a player from the losing team and then the winning team will be how or we'll be giving two players to the alter anything think we know who's going to be going from Beverly yeah I think I have a I think I have a good idea but who knows who knows if Anderson comes up with a huge game today who knows I'd still be do it too I'll put some I'll put money on if you want anyone to a friendly wager maybe some Chipotle okay okay what if we're at I put a say address is that 14 points then we'll put the yeah okay okay Moreland out to Anderson for three got it on cue on you underneath that crystal ball yours Anderson knocking that one down from the corner Moreland with the good assist the inside-out threat that they pose all season long as what's given Beverly so much success this season summer looking for Marshall Schrock Knowlton in the corner travel our good friend David Margaux Chien calling that one Beverly extending this lead 1612 looking to put an exclamation point at the end of this first quarter you see Beverly's offense working a lot better as they turn that one over but working a lot better now that they're able to get into their SATs into their half-court offense yeah able to slow it down a bit [Applause] Marshall she's only a freshman Moreland great D on Sumner pokes it away Anderson coming away with it last touched by Anderson however Knowlton trying to grab it back 19 seconds on the shot clock just over 20 left on the game clock see if Gloucester tries to hold for the last shot Bolton's got an open three thought about it probably with a wise choice there not to take that schrock guarded by McCarthy good defense area by McCarthy get three seconds Anderson let's see what she does she's gonna have to throw it up I don't think he's gonna get it off that time so at the end the one Beverly takes a 16 to 12 lead into the second quarter and a big three late form Anderson to get her on the board in five Beverly players on the scoreboard already yeah yeah I was saying you know that's one of the two big things that takeaways right now is everyone's scoring this is good to see you need that diversity you need everyone scoring the turnovers on offense are the one bad thing you can take away from the half as you said the last you know two minutes two and a half minutes they slowed it down they got into their offense and it did look a little bit better but Brooke had the hot hand she got five points Anderson dropped that three at the end and Beaudry and Bernard also contributed Moreland did her thing as well four points two at the line yeah Moreland looking to add to a great tournament already again last night she had 20 to 12 and four blocks barely is gonna send out a three guard set Beaudry McCarthy and Anderson and then two forwards I'm gonna have Sprague in Gaucho spray getting her first minutes so Moreland getting a breather something that doesn't usually happen off unless she's in foul trouble Beverly with four team fouls already Gloucester only with two after the first quarter of play Sumner she's gonna drive on Sprague she's probably glad that Mullins not in the game anymore she can't put back that one can't put back that either but she'll be fouled McCarthy yep Sumner is gonna shoot two Burnie Anderson to enter the game she's gonna enter for Shrock Anderson only a sophomore Sumner misses the second after making the first that was an interesting shot on the putback Anderson corner can't get that one to go Anderson coming away with the rebound Anderson on the fisherman that is it's gonna be interesting Anderson on Anderson Marshall down low as good ball moves out a Fisher man couldn't get it together board by Sprague McCarthy coming the other way she'll be fouled by Sumner so I got bailed out that I think she did - I was gonna say it looked like that was all ball not even just that I mean it might have been I thought I thought I what Queen - but also just she looked kind of out of control McCarthy at the line for the first time tonight back rims that one summer we'll take a seat after that foul and I've been missing a lot of fouls say that he'd be missing a lock officer doesn't have that many that's true I've only missed one being able to paint a little hard on yourself [Applause] martial dribbling past a few Beverly defenders throws it up no-good Beaudry sure this girl out there coming away with it McCarthy again charging see if she'll send this one up she gets that one rejected it goes out of bounds however last touched by Kloster so two straight plays McCarthy trying to dribble through this defense and was she a little bit out of control yes but it's a lot better than yesterday she was very timid hmm and I think that's what led to all those turnovers in that second and third quarter against that Crusader defense so it's good to see her being confident with the ball if you if you hesitate in your timid against a press I mean you're gonna get yourself trapped yeah you got to make quick decisions and you got to be quick on your feet Beverly with a four-point lead Norton will take a breather good entering in her place to flex that pass on the inbound Beaudry floater no good I believe it went off of Sprague it did [Applause] yeah this is something to watch here too is how Beverly does without Moreland on the floor that sometimes is a big factor in their games and you'd like to see better play here not a lot of scoring only one point coming off the free-throw in this quarter for the Panthers we're gonna get a foul on McCarthy that's her second barely did a good job there with the pressure now that was not my Karthi it was all McCarthy okay I thought it was uninteresting for the right way that's what I thought it was as well but my dad though cuz when I looked at Anderson's thing I didn't think she got the hand so glad to see that they probably got it right Marshall she's guarded by Anderson good we're gonna go down low good D though nothing was nothing there I'm gonna travel went on Rachael Rollo moorlands looking like she's ready to know Rallos gonna take a seat for Gloucester schrock back in schrock had five in that first quarter Gloucester needs some scoring only one point for each team just over two minutes into this second quarter Koch down low to Sprague yeah that was a push hard to get away with that right in front of the referee that's an easy call it's gonna go against Melvin fourth team foul excuse me 15 foul for Gloucester didn't need to do it either McCarthy out or excuse me Gaucho in McCarthy out Moreland in baekje entering Beaudry she has baekje in the corner can't get it to go but right into the hands of Moreland who puts it in for two it was the path that's what I would tell the scores table give me that assist so Beverly not scoring besides from the line until Moreland entered the game two seconds in she puts it in it's great how sometimes the narratives that we talk about turn out so perfectly three seconds in grabs another board the Miss from good sends it up to Anderson great pass for Moreland Anderson puts it up with the left four - we don't say enough about moorlands outlet possibility that was that was awful money that was Tom Brady - Randy Moss circa 2007 is shoot she led her perfectly in the past what made that possible if she only had maybe a step on the defender if she has to freeze it's not as open white hair entering for Sprague and get a timeout Gloucester drew Muniz so not a lot of scoring about two and a half minutes in of this second quarter but soon is Moreland enter she puts it in for two and she frees up Anderson finds her on an outlet yeah beautiful outlet pass does he mention a real football looking path letter perfectly to where she needed to go so if Beverly wins here tonight that means they're gonna hold on to what will be the ninth seed in the MIAA Division one north girls tournament we can bring up your potential opponents on your screen while we have some time [Applause] potential opponents you're either gonna see Everett Billerica or Revere now I think you're only going to see Revere if you lose if you're Beverly so right now judging by this game how it's going and Beverly's talent to really take this one out we're either going to see Everett or Billerica and I think you'd rather see Everett the last time so late Everett - they didn't have Moreland they did I remember doing that game they didn't have long and they still put up a very good very good fight so I you know the familiarity but especially without Moreland if they're gonna have Mullin for that game judging but what I saw the eye test they can play with them and they can't win Moreland nice baby hook muscles her way for to telling you if I'm playing one-on-one with Moreland she's putting it in ten times out of ten she is tough to defend down that doesn't help that I'm giving seven inches to her too 23:13 foul on white hair that's her second that he might might be looking to get white hair out of there sooner then Gloucester is in the bonus for the rest of this first half for one-on-one the next couple fouls and Gaucho is gonna come in for a white hair like you said plenty of time left in this first half owed to me for them to make that bonus count senior Catanzaro is gonna come in for the freshman Marshall Knowlton knocking both down that's some big points there for the fishermen to get it back to a single digit lead the only points for Gloucester in the second quarter coming off free throws only three points more than halfway in to the second quarter nice pass to baekje all right good to hear because the defense didn't suffer at all it out Marlin Moreland grabs the board putback no good trying to grab it again we're gonna get a foul I believe on Knowlton either that or Melvin actually it's gonna go against Moreland okay just playing so aggressive down there it's gonna be one-on-one plenty of time to make those count we talked about of the last broadcast too sometimes she can be a little over-aggressive that comes you know being a freshman that was probably one of those that later Stan shil might might tell you you got a no word during the bonus right now yeah we're doing a good job when on the regular play I've stopping them let's not give him anything for free first free throw from Bolton good can't knock down the second another offensive board early leading 23:16 Catanzaro down low to Knowlton blocked by Moreland rebound Andersen to jump ball I believe it's gonna stay with Gloucester actually is gonna go to Beverly sorry a second block Beaudry out there with anderson Gaucho baekje in Moreland as well trying to go down low to Moreland working on Melvin Beaudry puts it up blocked by good Gaucho coming out of nowhere she's gonna be called for a foul I believe she can't believe it either it's on Gaucho and Gloucester still shooting 101 three minutes and five seconds into the second quarter set it just a minute ago with plenty of time in this half to make this bonus count for the fishermen and they have made it third time in Alaia about a minute good at the line knocks down the first of a one on one this is the kind of stuff you need to do to keep you in the game all five points in this quarter scored by Gloucester coming from the line Bakey coming away with it quickly gets it up to Moreland she'll stop on a dime get it out to Beaudry anderson open baekje in the corner trying to drop it down but summoner reads it really well summers played great defense she's caused at least four turnovers from the Panther offense 23:17 a three from Nolan good [Applause] not leading all scorers Anthes in a little bit of trouble here 23 20 in the score now that I think it's kind of came around quick that Beaudry she'll be fouled she'll shoot to believe that's gonna go against good and it didn't quite get the number Beaudry can't knock down the first and it took gloucester more than five minutes to get their first field goal eight points nonetheless though that got it down to three four now with Beaudry hitting that Knowlton she has six in the quarter nine tonight she trips there Anderson grabs it she's gonna take it herself easy two for Anderson Panthers doesn't get any easier than that Moulton probably wishing she had that one back looking for summer down low leave and excuse me Moreland got a piece of that and she got another one there got all of that one three from good is good Bakey late on the closeout gloucester doing a great job of answering again and sticking around 26:23 boater he beat everyone there Knowlton called for the foul on Moreland she'll shoot to unofficially her second foul actually gonna be three unknown I just saw a good friend huh great signal over to the Gloucester bench that could be big I feel like we've said Nolan's name a lot also on scoring so 9 points for her tonight Nolan can't knock down the free throws good in transition great outlet pass offensive board putback no good Moreland grabs it she's off to the races seen this a lot she has Beaudry whether she'll keep it herself fouled by Sumner [Applause] [Music] I'm officially too on Sumner it's the eighth team foul for Gloucester Beverly definitely has the speed advantage in this game we've seen them on that fast break a couple of time especially when defenders are actually with them but they'll still just beat them in the footrace and after that free throw Darla free though you could see head coach Dru Muniz maybe lobbying to the referee there maybe really a can I get a call maybe a maybe to make up calls who knows probably exchanging pot roast recipes I don't know I don't know why you'd be complaining about the last one though I thought I look pretty clear to me that he got a piece of moorland the body more good the three got it to go Gloucester hot for me on the ark shock knocks that down she has eight tonight it is a one-point lead Anderson to answer yes oh I've got the big answer for the Panthers in since it took roster five and a half minutes to score a field goal only five free throws until that point they've hit three three-pointers that's been good for all of them yeah no good knock down that two though good had one you had Knowlton with another in shock with that one Moreland we're gonna kick it out it's got CH now shot clock at 20 game clock at 23 Baldry rips through the defense but she can't finish offensive board Moreland yet another the putback another gets around board and going one just the motor is always running grabs our own board a couple times finishes it there McCarthy in for Beaudry [Applause] and this fishermen defense really has no answer for Moreland we can't knock down that free-throw Gaucho with the rebound putback no good shirts on the floor here we're gonna get a jump ball it's gonna go to Gloucester with 9.8 left to go in the first half Beverly putting up 32 points it's at half-court clocks at 6 now it's Schrock she'll drive in the schrock connects there she had 5 in this quarter 10 total in Beverly has the lead going into the half but only by two points 32 30 lead for the Panthers and they were doing great defensively early on in that second quarter only holding Gloucester to 5 points all from the line with about two and a half minutes left and then the floodgates just opened up for class whether you're hitting three after three absolutely the Panthers got off to a nice lead it was pushing double digits they had their chance to kind of make it more comfortable put him away they couldn't do it they couldn't manage much on offense with Moreland not in the game and they're keeping this team around and that's a dangerous situation to be in yeah you don't want to give that underdog that confidence you don't and it's great to see - beverley players in double figures of course Moreland with 11 Anderson with 10 but we have other players contributing not just them DeBakey shooting very well but Bakey had five Beaudry had three Bernard - as well McCarthy got an active and as that noise is going off we're gonna send it to the break we'll be back in a few minutes with more analysis of that first half and the second half of the consolation gear game here at the Larry McIntyre classic start from somewhere [Music] the words we say the things we do that can grow into something else what was small and innocent can become big and sometimes scary all it takes is one comment one picture one video for something to catch fire but a big problem doesn't need a big response not at first even if we don't know what to say the eye emoji can be that first step we take let's all pledge to take that first small step together and change the world in a big way I'm a witness and so are you creativity is putting your imagination to work and it's produced the most extraordinary results in human culture you dreams come from inspiration inspiration comes from an idea and ideas come from creativity we believe in raising up a new generation of creative minds and it all starts with you helped sponsor the award-winning Beverly High School media program so the students can have the resources they need to make dreams happen you [Music] we start in the second [Music] early on in the season i commentated a game where Alyssa Moreland was going for a triple-double with blocks now she ended up with 21 points 26 rebounds 12 locks something ridiculous like that and I said on the broadcast if she gets a triple-double with blocks I'll go out and make an Alyssa Moreland Jersey and wear it around well I couldn't do that but Alyssa's mother Lisa Marciano so kindly gave me this so Moreland practice shirt it looks like it's gonna fit me too so this was probably when she was about 12 I would assume well she's a lot pretty nice good material thank you very much Lisa whoops there you go yeah she went all out she did thank you very much we appreciate it definitely great viewers they tweet at us all the time he only don't steal that telling you well you had a point so it's true like I'm just I'm watching off and I'm framing that one it's gonna be in B star so tonight she's killing it already yep she's got 11 points five blocks should I be getting another triple-double with blocks because even though we're not actively keeping track of rebounds you know she's already got ten you should probably get eight offensive rebounds already yeah it's a pretty safe bet very safe that monserrate if you could like pencil it in for like every game you know that I did not use a pen by halftime she's gonna have seven eight nine barely gonna send out there Moreland Barnard Gaucho Anderson and Beaudry I haven't seen much of Barnard since that first quarter she got into early foul trouble but she hit an early jumper yeah on that note you know plenty of other scoring from other people Bernard Beaudry Bakey and McCarthy even a free throw so plenty of scoring from everybody else but the big tone is they've kept the fisherman in the game just a two point lead and they did a lot with fouls as they took advantage of the line and Knowlton had nine points in that first half Shrock had ten in nine points added from good also kind of seems to be one of the things we talked about you talked about whatever game you know what what team are we gonna see sometimes they have problems with consistency and they look good for a couple of quarters and then they'll take the foot off the gas Anderson for three yes she used the pick freed herself knocked down the three Anderson I like that start I needed to drop about two points I want to win that contest she's got 13 already jumper from Melvin bounce is no good Beaudry she got wheels a few times he's juggled through the defense on a fast break slows it down deflected there by good gaucho coming up big there to slow it down probably saved I can ask it yeah the Panthers get back at their defense there's a block the six from Moreland she came out of nowhere Chirac shaking her head not much you can do not at all it came from kind of behind or to I mean there's no way you're gonna see that Bernard no good on the jumper but Gaucho huge on the offensive boards Bernard long three off the mark Anderson almost coming away with it but Sumner grabs it for the fishermen Knowlton now Moulton has three fouls Melvyn guarded by more and more when she is so quick that she can back off from you and make you feel comfortable like you're gonna take that shot cleanly but she can get up so quick as well me foul I believe called on Gaucho I mean yeah just as a freshman already just a super athlete and it lets her you know the Division one opponent against her veer which went up against her doesn't matter if she's given up a little bit of size she plays so intense and her speed is so great that it just doesn't matter Sumner no good on that free throw can't get that one to go Gaucho another board Anderson calling for poultry gets it up to her long to in transition it's no good but Moreland coming away with the offensive board she's gonna kick it out Gaucho Barnard now Anderson open for three heat Shaq no good Barnard offense afford head freeing in a foul I believe on Sumner it's her third unofficially actually believe that's her fourth foul that hurts because you know maybe not points wise when we've said her name a lot on the defensive side yeah her D flapping rebounds pretty much been the only one that gives Moreland any challenge when going up for boards she's been deflecting a lot of passes to using her height and length six minutes left to go in the third Panthers lead 35 30 only points scored in this quarter were a three Bernard trying to add to it she can't in a now Knowlton fine straw good driving right with contact can't get it to go rebound Andersen drops it back to Beaudry will start the offense Anderson another open three can't get that one to go shooters shoot though Moreland she's never has it then bit of pressure by the Panthers but they'll sag off once it's in bounded three from the corner in and out Bernard another board Gloucester getting open looks but they can't fall [Applause] scoring lowell in this game only three points in this quarter nice finger roll there by Knowlton foul I believe when Gloucester is gonna go against Rallo panties have played good defense were out but you talked about that that open look there on the three she didn't get at that time but Gloucester has done a good job from beyond the arc Mullins gonna get fouled either by Melvin or Knowlton if it's Knowlton that's our fourth and it is it's gonna be four on her decision time for Coach munis and this is a real problem now with Sumner and Knowlton in foul trouble Moulton's gonna have to take a break for what you would think to be the rest of this quarter and maybe half of the fourth it depends I mean if things start to get out of control how long can you sit her Bernard open three just off the mark both teams getting open looks in this quarter just nothing really falling [Applause] everyone's not as hot after after halftime schrock off the mark Moreland coming away with it rips it away she's got numbers she's gonna take it herself going against Melvin no match beautiful control there they tried to bait her into getting the charge but she stayed composed not out of control gets the bucket 3730 Panther lead timeout Gloucester Gloucester yet to score they got off to a slow start in that second quarter didn't have a field goal until five and a half minutes in and then got bailed out a bit with the odd with the bonus and the fouls and now halfway through this third quarter they've yet to get on the board they're really only scoring five points in this quarter so far as well but defense has been there for the Panthers you can follow us on Twitter see on your screen at Bev camp at Penn underscore can-can follow me if you'd like as well he can ask us some questions if you're watching home my Twitter at ASA leuco a sa Luc Co we could answer any questions really not just about basketball but life if you want about cooking got some new recipes you know watch a lot of launch of HGTV talk about interior design if you'd like anything really just so we know people are watching out there I know one time I said that my mom tried to make a Twitter to ask some questions but she didn't know how to make a twitter so I had to make a Twitter but I don't know how to do it they roam Renaissance man they're trying to do everything 355 left in the third quarter Gloucester trying to get on the board it's gonna be hard Sumner and Knowlton both on the bench with four fouls Schrock is gonna have to take over for this team she does all right on cue with the contact they're gonna lean heavy on her now with Sumner and Knowlton out of the game two leads Gloucester in scoring tonight she has 12 foul on Melvin Church second McCarthy to inbound it's Moreland trying to get Anderson coming off of a pick Moreland takes a pig from Anderson drops it back to white hair Bakey Anderson ten seconds on the shot clock Anderson's got an opening but I also really stepping up there Dee here Anderson getting an open look though offensive board Bakey comes away with it McCarthy in the corner good pump fake long to contested no good Moreland can't come away with the board but I think we're gonna get a foul call it's gonna be on Marshall press handles like candy right now on the fisherman I'll take some pretty hungry look it's a good thing you got a long break then before the boys game very true and I had a roast beef sandwich beforehand - white hair slashes through the defense would - she adds to the scoring just about everybody who's hit the floor for the Panthers have scored good three-point arc melvin working on Moreland nothing you can do another block for her I believe that seven or eight that is seven three from Marshall officially shot clock violation they couldn't get it off you know offensively they struggled a bit without woman but defensively even without Warland they were solid and with Mon you know Gloucester just can't even get a shot Shrock they're letting the shot clock expire she has the only points for Gloucester in this third quarter they've only scored two points six minutes into the third quarter having Knowlton on the bench is really bad for this team Anderson for three that's a dagger right there now it becomes a double-digit lead for the Panthers 42:32 Panthers pulling away Sprague will check into the game momentarily when this has happened before the Gloucester has been able to come up with a big three to keep themselves in the game let's see if they can do it here aren't here they're gonna go for one no good rebound Moreland already is spin and off to the races Sumner back in the game she's got to be careful she has four fouls Anderson missed Anderson there by herself McCarthy corner bake III yes Becky's missed a shot tonight I don't either she's coaches put up three shots and they've all gone in bake he's cooking tonight eight points for her 1:05 left in the third Beverly pulling away this lead up to 13 the largest lead of the night a dough run for the Panthers the blocking foul on light hair Marshall will shoot two Beverly out scouring Gloucester 13 to 2 in this third quarter he'll take it Marshall gets that to go her first points tonight white hair has three fouls to still track out of the game Marshall can't get that one to go another board from Moreland safe to say she's got a double-double Anderson she'll be fouled on the floor by good and sugar on the line now for the first time tonight it's Goods first and Beverly one foul away from being in the one and one McCarthy finds Moreland long - I don't see her much from that range but she'll give it a go mrs.

[Music] and we are back at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse here in Beverly Massachusetts for the boys game of this tournament the Larry McIntyre classic Alex Luke alongside Tom Donovan and we just saw the girls loose to Bischoff and look hopefully the boys fare better against the svenne with Dean well if Emma comes into the ballgame tonight Alice's you know it William 15 records so they've had a tough year the young but I'll tell you like I've always said are you gonna turn me like this the Feldman's boys have nothing to lose this is their state tournament yeah and as a coach that's a long time this is just a terminal and this is a good thing for them with a nice crowd again tonight people are still coming in and we fed it makes crowd all day yeah so this is something they want to build off the corn finish here and Beverly still with a lot to play for if they're playing for seeding we'll show you later in the program where we'll focus more into it but basically Beverly can go anywhere from a two seed down to a six even know what happens is tournament and for those of you who did just join us the first game today we had the mascot on the girls beating the Gloucester girls so master llama we're putting the championship game tomorrow against the bishop family girls just got feet Bishop someone coach just beat the Beverly girls and the winner of this game will play mask oh his well mask Oh a close game that boys game against Gloucester came down to the very end but mask Oh end up pulling away in that game against the fishermen about a minute 55 left to go before we have our starting lineups introduced in the opening tip but something very important to mention for the Panthers this tournament without Matt rotting yes I'm glad you brought that up just bring that up myself Matt rodding who I think is like one of the most improved kids on this team I think he's been the glue with his team greetings brother glue and they went over the broke his toe last game yeah or two games ago actually and the belly went over in copper Mary started his position there I understand he did a great job and Beverly without running did be the very very good model head team over on all his home court so that was a good sign that Kyle got some experience at the point guy thousand quaint up quite a bit anyways and I love Kyle I love this game I think he's gonna be a big another big piece of the puzzle is you say yes I agree and this was a Beverly team that already was thin coming off the bench losing a couple of their players as the season went on they were already saying they were only going too deep to the bench and now the only person you see when looking at this bench that has played meaningful minutes this season is Micah Davies he's the only one that's really on this bench of now what has been diminished to six that has really played any sort of meaningful basketball this year and although that's good to have him coming off the bench you wish you had a couple more in that rotting injury is not great for this team's match no but hopefully they're hoping to have Matt back for this tournament and that would that's so by the way is post play Kevin Moran we used to coach over st.

[Music] hello and welcome to the Henry Cabot Lodge Neal help [Music] but be rich watching [Music] 99 3 they lost too early in the seasons off yeah absolutely and the big thing to look for though is young team like the Panthers if you see them early on in the season you can't Bank on that same team show went up you might do things that you didn't see before that's the danger of face of a young team but they can get off to that good start Moreland scoring from down low Anderson from outside could be a lethal combination exactly if it's a night and day from beginning of the seasons at this point the season obviously Moreland's been there all year but she's been even taking it a step further and ursin as he merges an elite three-point shooter in Barnard off the bench and with the young players to with McCarthy and even white hair providing good minutes off the bench this team's dangerous absolutely we saw Bakey go off in their last game two for about 15 points you hit about four threes and they're dangerous from every level and I don't think that Bishop has seen the complete Beverly King oh yeah and the question is which Beverley team is going to show up tonight they played very well against good teams they be Saugus Danvers and Revere close game against one class will ended up losing that one but this is a team that over this season is sometimes played down to an opponent's level but this penwick team I don't see Beverley playing down to their levels is a great team and you know substantial and this team remembers what happened in that a Christmas tournament absolutely I think that's the big reason why you can't expect to see that same team that you saw before you talked to talking down to play down the lesser competition but they know Rachel's gotten in there here and I think they want to avenge that you got it both the energy is a lot more to cuz it's a tournament yeah I think they'll feed off that energy you know I think they look sharp from the get-go yeah the winner of this game is going to end up playing mask oh they beat gloss are pretty easily 70/30 too early this afternoon that was a blowout in the mask oh girls coming into that game this morning after some controversy oh no but if you heard it the whole team was suspended against Earth for the game against Ben Tucket the other night because of something that happened with a t-shirt they're not really telling us but the whole team was suspended for that game they got slaughtered by pintuck did so that mask Oh girls team has something to prove too and they showed it with that thrashing of Gloucester absolutely but you gotta wonder they might be a distraction though you don't even got something to prove yeah but you want to know could it be in their head especially you need to get off to a good start and you're gonna start thinking about other things too along with exactly for about a minute forty five to go from the opening tip or excuse me from the starting lineups being announced and assuming it's the same starting five this Beverly team needs to get off to a hot start especially against a team that we set it a few times already beat them it was close game they'll only I believe eight points separating the two teams in that game is Beverly is gonna head to the bench now then we're gonna be getting ready for these starting lineups what are you looking forward to in this game I'll see besides we talked about Moreland and Anderson the one-two punch inside-out combo who else are you looking to in this game to really step up to give Beverly that edge that maybe wasn't there in that Fenwick game well I wouldn't say it wasn't there but I would say that they the other key piece is Beaudry if you can add Beaudry driving in the inside and getting points herself as also she always distributes the ball well but if she could become a scoring threat herself he got a real three-headed monster and it is tough to deal with starting lineups gonna be announced soon Beverly's gonna put out Beaudry got Anderson Moreland and Bernard [Music] family got a scary little bench to be announced for starting lineup it's gonna be number four olivia DiPietro number five one of the captain is sandy gallant we have number 10 Courtney Morton another captain at number 21 Jackson may do a number 34 the third captain Jenny meager the I remember from last year when they played this team the lawn end of each row I remember them well they went on so it's gonna be interesting to see how they do in this one as well of course they didn't see a defensive front like Marlon and they haven't seen this aggressive Beverly D like it was last year Beverly lineups being announced now Jordan said Anderson Moreland gods Beaudry and Bernard [Applause] I think T is another player to watch we talked about both you getting down that was well but see it t it could have it sometimes she has her games and you know what if Brody's not feeling it early Pernod can step up as well like I said create that three-headed monster we're gonna pause now for a moment to listen to the national anthem we're not okay no national anthem probably just at the beginning of a tournament like that though you know three minutes in between each time they need to speed things up I think exactly exactly we got more games after that yeah the Beverly boys will be playing the Fenwick boys after this at 7:15 and one of that game also plays mask oh so Meteor taking the tip with Moreland freshman verse senior meters gonna poke it Fenwick's starts with the ball driving baseline stop meager mid-range jumper missed rebound go through that it's gonna be a jump ball it's gonna go with the Panthers quick possession but they got a good a good luck to start things out Beaudry crossing over at midcourt stolen by meagre crusaders slowing it down picking the high post to three just off the mark that was gallant gonna be pan for ball slowed it down but then didn't you didn't do a lot of ball movement just took the outside shot it was there though it was open bow tree getting picked off meager ends up with a quick pass down low two points for Norton Beverly struggling with the press here a little early trying to dribble through which she loses it again it's gonna be a travel so three straight turnovers on three possessions for the Panthers to start this game they're lucky to only be down two points yet not the fast thought we were talking about we're looking forward to seeing but come out with that price earlier that's a good strategy to make sure they don't get in rhythm drive on Gaucho with contact two points troll that was a great move he just took that right by herself I think she just made that decision pretty early on that she knew she could be there Moreland Panthers finally get a pass half-court up to Bernard can't finish rebound Moreland the putback gets it to go to Boyd's Moreland Panthers are on the board for two at 6:39 left to play in the first lady to meager thinking about a three she drives left hand no good rebound Moreland she's going the other way the Crusaders are getting some open looks dish to Barnard a little too far in front though but poked away by the Crusaders and you said it Crusaders they're getting open looks their shots just aren't falling Beverly very fortunate to be only down two points early I always wish we could mic up the referees - yeah that'd be great thought it's hard to tell what's going on Beaudry inbounding trying to get it to Moreland she ends up with it Beaudry has it in the corner a little bit lower thing Rolen hits the deck pretty hard we're gonna get a foul I believe on the Crusaders same with not a lot of things going right right now but one good thing is early on Moreland is uh having plenty of success down there yeah she's grabbing boards over meager playing good Dioner as well bold redownload a gaucho back out to Beaudry Moreland almost losing it dodge has it poked away Anderson gets it 15 on the shot clock they picked by Gaucho Anderson on the run can't get it to go rebound to lock his Crusaders defense looks real good early on meager down low almost gets that one to go that was a bunny we were gonna get a foul on meager as well [Applause] we called with the push it's a great look from the Crusaders to get it down low Demeter quickly no-nothing Gaucho was playing gene yeah that's something that you don't see happen with the Panthers a lot - I didn't usually give up those real easy looks they don't give those gimmies they make teams aren't it usually Anderson deep three off the mark look good the launch is letting that one go early on the defensive struggle for two Crusader lead five and a half left to go in the first this second game in a row for arrived the Panthers that their offenses came off to a bad start three pointer from the Crusaders that's number 21 Nadeau one of the captains on this team she didn't call glass though so I'm not gonna count it Bernard getting fouled from behind there beyond the four good to see who that fouls on teacher already with two at least they're getting them in foul trouble seventy-two Crusader lead more than with the pump-fake she drives can't completed she's battling down low there with meager that's gonna be something that I'm predicting pretty early he's gonna get pretty chippy absolutely you know a lot of the time we talked about it being a weakness to this Panther team kind of goes where Moreland goes in and out sometimes a little too much Moreland Bernard long to can't get the role rebound Crusaders they're coming the other way quickly great outlet pass a bit of a Euro step but a travel they run their offense fast though they do [Applause] especially in the teams that I've seen Beverley play in the past few years outlet passes aren't really a thing you see in girls high school basketball anyway not at the level that this Fenwick team is really connecting Amin but this is a very different style than what you used to say anything gallant pushing it with contact off the mark no good another foul on this Crusader team they're gonna have to grow concerned about this though in Norton with her first foul it's already 14 fouls for the Crusaders not even halfway through the first quarter that's gonna make it harder on that press down the stretch if you're already in foul trouble Moreland shall shoot two two fouls on arguably their most important player tonight neater she's the one that's gonna be guarding Moreland most of the night in the balls been in New Orleans hands a lot early in this game she's been forcing most of the possession she's had especially on that possession too at the ball at half-court could have waited she was almost too aggressive there and taking it to the hoop I think it's because they'd seen that for right now no one's real hot from the outside shooting so I think she's feeling the pressure a bit to make the offense go but it does at least paid off with getting meager in foul trouble it has she will be staying in the game right now with two fouls near side guarded by Beaudry when you get back to the outside thinking about a three she'll pull up now got it to go good strokes from the line where they pulled back and really let her have that almost poked away from behind Borland trying to get down low to Beaudry it's a turnover 10-3 lead for the Crusaders early on 3:45 left to go in the first Beverly struggling we've seen slow starts from them before they just really look out of sync and out of rhythm right now especially on the offensive side of the ball Galan she's want to just hit that three three again for the Crusaders off the mark good box-out there by gaucho almost turned over by anderson quickly gets it to podrían never lee's in the front court now Bernard three no good rebound Fenwick and they're gonna push it's a very fast team this is the fastest team Beverly seen all season long and the way they set their offense up to LAN another three no good yeah and that's gonna be interesting because we've seen the Panthers sort of out athlete teams before but this is not gonna be the case tonight Moultrie gets it and goes almost turned over Moreland muscling her way through a third foul on number 34 meager that is gonna be huge Marlin it's still looking good down there and if they can get meager out of the game too I highly doubt that the the substitutes gonna be able to keep Moreland down I'm not sure why it's not a substitution she's got three maybe she has a lot of confidence in the other placement Moreland all four points for the Panthers tonight that was just about the same occupy and if there's one thing we can say about Moreland struggles of season it's been at the free-throw line no absolutely that's just about the only thing you can nitpick a game Beverly cut the lead to within five those to Moreland free throws quick crossover defended by God surprised is not gonna be a foul call there Beaudry driving trying to go coast-to-coast offensive board Moreland she'll throw it up foul again she'll be shooting - this one's going on gallant in the Fenwick coach Adam - bagus it doesn't agree with that call and he has he's he's talking about the other end exactly but he can rightfully that was a lot of contact that they like out if I was him to I wouldn't be happy the foul disparity of this game so far is astronomical already in the first quarter Beverly is already on the 101 and barely hasn't committed a team foul you have seen that before they do actually usually play very smart defensively the Panthers but this is a crazy disparity but Fenwick has really committed to press in your face aggressive defense and they're letting Moreland beat them right now seven points for her all seven for the Panthers five already in this first quarter have come from the line but they're making a beater at the line right now Marlin has responded bulgy to Bernard Moreland mid-range jumper off balance couldn't get it to go by the way the pandas only have one bucket from normal point everything else has been from the free-throw line to Guglielmo will be fouled by Bernard first team foul on the Panthers she'll be shooting to barely get to make a substitution in and out you would think especially with the foul disparity in stuff this will be key in their and their chances that they do have the Fenwick they need to come away with these free points because right now Beverly is getting it when they get their free opportunities Gonzalez just entered the game for me Gert on the Crusader side rebound Moreland throws it up quickly to Anderson she was there easy two for Anderson assist coming for Moreland two minutes left to go in the first Beverly cuts it to within one that's the first real gap that we've seen on offense or defense I think from the Crusaders they've missed some shots and stuff but that was a true true mixup a true gap three from gallant and she's feeling at 6 for her on two threes probably watch Devin Booker break that NBA three-point contest record last night boy I thought there was a bit of a tug there at Beaudry on that three from an ER they send she gets it to go three points for her she's had the last five for the Panthers Beverly still cuts it to within one 13 to 12 Fenwick lead it was a great play by Bernard to poke that away after Baldry missed the initial shot gallant thinking about another three she can drive on you too she goes left with contact just shoot to the Crusaders on offense is doing a good job of isolating Panther defenders and one-on-ones and then trying to beat them to the basket you saw a real no roll over help there at all on that drive exactly in gallant is so gifted at the line or driving as well as shooting as we've seen her make her first two three-pointers of the game and she hits that one there at the line she can drive - you got to respect both angles and that's why you saw Anderson really sagging off just a little bit cuz with that with those two open freeze that she had made earlier really opened up her inside game - 1512 it's gonna be a puzzle to solve down the stretch the Anderson trying to get it out of the corner toll during mid range Jay airball God's trying to save it she can't forth that one a bet [Applause] so after Beverly cut it to within one then WIC back up three guarded by Beaudry up top will step back him a walker action got it to go beautiful play their moves when they got the Panthers defenders and one-on-ones are real crisp Moreland working on the post throws it up there no good rebound Gonzales 1712 penwick trying to end this first quarter with the last shot and an emphatic run Gonzales into the corner it's gallant down into Guglielmo little baby hook no good rebound Bernard they have 8 seconds they can get a shot off Beaudry 5 on the clock she'll take it from deep just off the front that looked real good a lot got a shot off off the mark that was really good 4 seconds a little early from Beaudry but that was a long I thought it was gonna go we would have left her hand I could take that shot 10 times I wouldn't even hit backboard so after 1 the Panthers trailed the Crusaders 1712 who is a big quarter from Moreland especially at the line and then Anderson added 5 as well but on the other side it was go on two threes in a field goal for her she's doing it alright now for the Crusaders absolutely and the thing that you want to see about her gave me it's when they isolate the Panther defenders and those one-on-ones and they make moves to both ends they make moves to come inside they make moves to fake to the inside and take the outside shot it's a problem and the defense has been aggressive and it's gotten the Panthers out of rhythm on offense completely yeah our producer Robert Doakes noting that he's noticed and this is very true Beverly is playing Fenwick's game right now Fenwick is controlling it they have Beverly right where they want them you see Beverly just running around not being able to get in other sets they have to press which means or excuse me they're getting press lit means they have to get it up quick and they have open lanes when they're there so they're just going forward then instead of slowing it down in really drawing up plays you see at times when they force up a shot or someone forces a pass too quickly when they get the ball it seems like they want to get it out of their hands very quickly because they're getting trapped a lot especially down low on the press it just it's speed things up at a pace that they don't want to play out right now Bakey in for the Panthers start the second quarter for substitution for the Panthers all night that's another long-range threat she gets drived on first possession Gonzales turnaround jumper no good rebound Moreland quickly out to Beltre she can get it up there in a hurry anderson open shot takes it front iron good box-out by Gonzales on Anderson at the three-point line I like how fast she committed to it though they're gonna have to make quick decisions Guglielmo no good locked by Moreland was gallant on the attempt that was an emphatic block another three from gallant using a pick off the marker first missed three tonight but offensive board in the foot back what a move from the Guglielmo the oven under she copper nard my boxing out there Bakey to Beaudry downloaded Bernard almost losing her footing Renard driving left and get a push it's one on one already so Bernard will shoot one and one for the Panthers it's going to be on O'Brien who first eighth team foul for family [Applause] number twelve Elizabeth pica in for O'Brien Bernard misses the first of the one and one there's two more fouls from Fenwick Beverly's going to be in the double bonus already for the most part they've made it count from the line so you got to feel good about that that they can continue to make it count jump all possessions gonna be with the Panthers and that foul disparity is really alarming eight to two Anderson down low to Moreland working on gallant can't get it to go can't get the offensive board either and you know that's gonna be interesting because not only do you have players sit out but even when the same players are in they might have to change what they do on defense a little bit you know the question is will they be able to stop the Panthers as well if they're not playing that same aggressive in-your-face defense in whether you're stopping Moreland or not as dugu glioma misses a three and the putback sedan one for Gonzales whether you're stopping Moreland or not you'd have to think the person that's guarding her is gonna pick up a few fouls along the way as well absolutely but I mean it's been worse and just how excessively fast it happened white hair entering the boards have been a bit of an issue early on in this quarter a lot of offensive rebounds for them for the Crusaders just like you said it another one there 2112 that is one place the Panthers have beat them is that the free throw line the lot guard it again using a pick every time off the mark white hair quickly gets it come on schooled off a little bit from the outside shooting though Beaudry down low to Moreland they're working inside again with contact makes their own rebound talk about fighting through the pressure fighting through the contact 14 now for the Panthers they trail by 7 5 and a half left to go in the first half she's so fast and explosive down there Guglielmo misses the mid-range jumper Bakey trying to grab it white hair ends up with it and the foul another one one on one white hairs gonna be shooting well that's a real unforced out - that's a bad one that was I I'm just gonna disagree with that's all he could really say I didn't see a foul I'm not gonna complain I mean this is a Beverly broadcast so if we complained what would we be doing yeah I know I I mean I'm sitting here I'm wondering what it was but still even make it close down there there we go right here knocks the first of a one on one down can't knock down the second morlun trying to come away with it's gonna stay with Fenwick though on the jump ball Beverly keeping it close gallant yet to score in this second quarter she had eight in the first travel there anyone starting to look a bit out of sync now some miscues that we didn't see in the first quarter Bakey back to Beaudry driving quickly left poked away stay with the Panthers great crowd here tonight for the Larry McIntyre classic always more fun to do these games when there's people in the crowd oh absolutely and that's a whole new way that young trash more fun to fight hey league two points just in front of the three-point line there for Anderson her stroke is on tonight Beverly within four now she got seven points on the game tonight that jumpers good Norton she has four you know even things 4-minute a half two minutes with a knocko in the Crusaders way they always do a great job of answering out of key points Beaudry getting double-teamed white hair coming away with it and she stepped out this fenwick team noticing Beaudry's always there they're double-teaming her quick if you can take Bossier your way bringing up the ball not a lot of other people that we've seen this year really running offense tight defense there from white hair open three from gallant missed again it's tracked down by the Crusaders though another offensive board the help came a little late damage wasn't able to knock down the shop gallant taking a pic from Gonzales fouled by Andersen she caught Anderson with happy feet there you can see Anderson backing off not really sure how to attack it 23:17 Fenwick lead just over 4 left to go in the second quarter gallant back irons the first free throw [Applause] one is good nine points for gallant now Beaudry quickly getting it up past half court drops it down to Moreland she'll be fouled she'll shoot to see if this one goes on jallat or if it goes on pika did you see him signal who was no I didn't either that's either on gallant or pika judging by go on exiting the game and I guess it's her she's got to that's another big piece now he could be a little bit of foul trouble out of the game and DiPietro coming back in [Applause] borlon can't knock that one down bernard jump ball wins it for the Panthers excuse me that's white hair big this missed the shots but still get a second chance it's always interesting me how the Panthers have Beaudry and bounding it as white hair puts it in with contact because that was one of the cleanest looks that they've gone all night [Applause] [Music] anderson watching those picks she's had to all night the freshmen contributing off the bench here in this corner you foul on the floor believe on Moreland it's gonna be on Beaudry it's Beverly's fifth team foul open three no good Moreland rebound where is it around Beverly has numbers two-on-one a little bit of a stutter step can't get it to go Moreland mental force that one a little bit she had numbers for a quick second she couldn't hit her teammate tough to make that decision on the run loud dropping it down to pit row with contact fouled by Beaudry and that was a phantom foul probably a makeup call she looked out of control on the shot there I think he thought it was a push but I think she was out of control when she went up for that truck it's Beaudry's second foul and McCarthy's gonna enter for her [Applause] another freshman for this Panther team McCarthy two freshman on the floor right now BRAC three reading Moreland you forget you do forget the way she plays this Haley by herself again easy two for Anderson nine points for her great look from Moreland on the outlet pass second time Anderson has completely caught the defense napping and done that and when you're getting pressed the way Beverly is biphenyl deep three from the Beach row and that's what I'm talking about every time that they get real close again the Crusaders always come up with that big answer that was from a different area code Moreland losing her footing she'll be called for a travel Beverly down six Bernard gonna enter for Baker that ability to just do one little thing when things aren't going your way to get through that little bit of controversy is so huge Nadeau thinking about pulling up again she will this time gets it to go to deep freeze in a row from NATO and she's got eleven tonight Beverly was within three and now they're back trailing by nine happens so fast quick turnover white hair looking for Anderson she had her but the height of Gonzales the way things are going right now things turn around so quickly Stachel might be thinking he might need to call the timeout soon if this possession doesn't go their way see if they get it to NATO he's got the hot hand could have been a travel called there but I guess not the NATO run for the Crusaders since they got it to three Crusaders have been on a NATO run since then Moreland spin move trying to do it all herself no foul called and probably the road bound again oh that's a big bucket for the Panthers Moreland calling for a foul and that's I don't know how you don't foul Moreland to stop her you have to foul her she's just so aggressive full steam ahead aggressive and fast gonna get a block on the Panthers it's on white hair - only three Panthers on the scoresheet when it comes to points Fenwick has six different schools its Norton's fifth with that free throw we haven't even seen meager in this second quarter [Applause] points wise I mean if you look at the scoreboard it hasn't mattered to the eye it looked like the Panthers have played a far better quarter this quarter than the last one but double that ability to answer whenever this controversy has that as the actual score pretty much still at the same Macarthy getting trapped gets it up to Moreland she finds Bernard cross-court pass intercepted minute 25 left to go in this first half good job by Moreland getting into the pick-and-roll do Guglielmo getting put or excuse me pushing Moreland Moreland will shoot two and that's definitely gonna be a frustration foul tough to get away with that one yeah right in front of the raft - everyone's watching the ball go straight in the air it's only her first though can't knock that one down [Applause] second free-throw is good for Moreland Beverly back to within nine gallant drop pass runner from two Guglielmo no good offensive board Crusaders again new shot clock gallant drops it down back out gallant another three bit of a herky-jerky ah rebounded by McCarthy look I don't know it didn't look as good as we've usually seen it form wise I don't really know what happened Moreland getting picked off coming the other way it's gonna be a push on McCarthy [Applause] Crusaders shooting one and one now down the stretch you ever see some real bad turnovers here from the Panthers trying to run their offense first one knockdown opens it up to a double-digit lead Nady leads all scorers she has 12 knocks that one down as well [Applause] Panthers looking to get something going to carry some momentum into the second half Anderson in the corner timeout called by Stan shil 20 seconds off the shot clock that's a good time out that be read a really need something to go into the half here and things weren't looking good there that's a good timeout by Stachel definitely especially Anderson in the corner they're getting double-teamed you know what was gonna happen so coming out of this timeout Stan shil another turnover there would have been costly exactly I would look to substantial just try to draw something up get it down low to Moreland and if it's not there however kick it back out to Anderson maybe have an off ball screen again Anderson open for three at the same time Moreland has it down low and just let Moreland decide whether she wants to go up with it or kick it out to Anderson I think you're in the huddle that might be who knows I can be in two places at once Panthers gonna send out the same five three freshman in that five by the way playing in an end-of-the-year tournament big stage for a young team to be in if the smite thing is not going their way right now like you said three freshmen before that's gotta make me feel good at least for the future exactly it's such a young team this Panthers team and they've already looked so good white hair is gonna be inbounding it McCarthy almost losing it 15 on the shot clock and she's gonna be called for a travel it got stuck there on her hip well whatever they drew up that one little get that hand in there and the play goes out the window absolutely ten looks likely holding for the last shot nice pick and roll travel called air so Panthers nine seconds left get a shot off they're down 11 you're gonna have to draw something up quick here McCarthy gets it off the inbound driving up the right side picks up her dribble turns it over another turnover for the Panthers that's a bad one the lawn and easy two at the buzzer in Fenwick takes the lead into the second half 3724 gallant she had 11 points in that first half Nadeau leading all scorers with 13 Norton adding 5 to P chill with for a couple other Crusaders with two on the other side it's really been Anderson in Moreland absolutely we talked I talked about earlier get Beaudry Barnard involved they haven't been able to it's really just been a two-person attack and I but that might it's not good enough to face a a real good team like this you're gonna need more than just two people it doesn't look good for the Panthers moving into the second half a lot of momentum taken away with those last few possessions and those turnovers in the first half so after one the Crusaders lead 3724 after a few minutes we'll be back for more analysis and the rest of this game here you you are watching web cam here anyone tournament game Alex look alongside Dom Lorenz on oh and that first half especially towards the end was a struggle for the Panthers absolutely and you know the thing I look to is everything collapsed after they got it to within three they came off on the other end they hit two threes in a row ended up with a NATO run and from their turnovers on offense the press was getting to him and things really collapsed it was McCarthy who had a few of those turnovers at the end of that first half and she's not gonna be starting this second half it's gonna be the five starters from beginning of the game for the Panthers well she came in cuz Beaudry got herself in foul trouble and we see Bodie really the only one who really handles the ball up the floor and runs the offense and that came up real big in that last three minutes where they just couldn't write the hip yeah and it's Moreland's gonna have to do a lot more than she did in that first half and it's crazy cuz she did pretty much all of the or not all of it but most of the offensive scoring for the Panthers she has to do more and she has to do a better job of getting people involved when she has numbers on the offensive end or the lack of ball movement has been a big reason why they're not doing a lot on offense I've been only three people have scored but that's a huge in part to that Fenwick defense as well the press it doesn't give them a lot of time once they get it past half court to really get set but it just not letting them get in rhythm at all and even with Marlin almost all of her points have actually had to come from the free-throw line there - exactly so they're making her at least beat them at the line you're not they're not giving up the bunnies and that they're okay with giving up the foul to me you can't get fan we'll start with the ball in this third quarter Norton again she's gonna drive right excuse me no that's the feature not to be joke she comes over the offensive board I think the Panthers are in his own right now yeah they're coming out I believe the three-two zone to start this off the mark couldn't come away with a rebound that was meager interesting changeup you don't see the play zone a lot huh you know an early turnover two-on-one a lot easy to she's got 13 that's what plagued them in that last two and a half three minutes Andersen to Moreland drops it down gosh for to believe it was deflected by DiPietro meteor coming away with the board the help came fast they're just will not allow the bunnies driving or get a foul offensive foul it's gonna go on NATO and the call for the charge that's her second cruise coach is not happy this is a hands on the hips just kind of glare and how that de bagus has been frustrated all night long this team still up 15 Anderson she's getting triple team there nobody coming to help they consistently just dribble themselves into trouble and like you said no one came to help their this Fenwick defense just like the offense very fast they react very quickly Beaudry mid-range jumper blocked by meager rebounded Bernard Beaudry thinking about it again against meager but at all times is when they're running their offense it just looks messy meager outlet pass driving easy - they're actually not an easy to a hard - for Norton that's a fight through the contact of Anderson Gaucho back to Beaudry and look looking to pull away they're gonna double-team Beaudry quickly Moreland from the charity stripe rush that shot didn't really set her feet it's coming the other way now go on pass the three yes no Nadeau again 16 for her she continues to perform Panthers in a deep hole down 20 but things are really starting to implode right now for the Panthers see what stancel comes up with here to try and right the ship Beverly down 20 they're gonna need almost a miracle to really come back from this one the way they're playing tonight in Beverly needs that win tonight and they also need a win tomorrow and win the tournament coupled by a Billerica loss in their championship game in their tournament to get a home game and we'll show you right now on the screen the potential opponent [Applause] sitting at 12 and 6 Evert right now has controlled the eight seed in the ninth Billerica the 10th Revere in the 11th Lowell now wanna traveling it is the second I have to do if they can't get a home game exactly and it doesn't look like bevels gonna get a home game now so they're gonna have to prepare the worst case scenario for this Panther team is that they would be the 11th or the 12th seed they would have to play the six or the five Revere or Lowell it was looks like what it's going to be Revere's a team Beverly beat very recently at Revere Lowell is a team that they haven't seen it's a lot of playoff implications still for the Panthers not only in this tournament but in other tournaments across the state Anderson to Gaucho Moreland stolen away by the Petro and it's that backside help from the Crusaders defense that's really doing a great job the off ball defenders are always paying attention to the ball to try to get a jump on it [Applause] meet the offensive board in the put back looking like Hakeem Olajuwon there with the dream shake and our producer just pointing out something very important to us too is uh maybe you know the home game would be nice for the Panthers but Bishop is playing for even more as a win here could put them into the playoff very true as Marlon throws that one off of a crusader to keep possession in Washington is Fenwick team play it's crazy that they haven't clinched a spot yet it's crazy that they're 99 exactly it's crazy only beat Beverly by eight the first time we saw them mid-range jumper from Beaudry got it to go with two points for Beaudry she's on the board first bucket for the Panthers in this quarter only took him just over three minutes well again a lot of credit to this Fenwick defense not only the aggressive their sound is you talked about they always come back and help the teacher we've seen it mark we've seen the Crusaders isolate Panther defenders in one-on-one and the help doesn't come quick enough but that has not been a problem on the other side for Bishop defense that's the third foul on May to believe it's gonna be a Navy it's gonna be her third problem with the scoreboard they have a timeout clock running down that's gonna wait for it to run out might be justjust a free timeout no they went out there we go and another thing to point out Nadeau the leading scorer in this game 16 you see that brace on her left knee she was out with an ACL injury in the first meeting between these two teams pass for Koch off the mark couple subs coming in for the Panthers baekje will enter as well as Sprague she'll get her first minutes gosh and Bernard will exit Andersen and Moreland have played every minute of this game so far for the Panthers phantasm needed every minute of it Bakey on the floor to talk about kind of a miracle to come back they're gonna have their two best three-point shooters on the floor right now and that's what you have to do when the deficit is this big jump ball there Fenwick keeps possession Beverly trying to nibble away at this lead they're still down 24 minutes left to go in the third [Music] driving floater no good rebound Anderson they're really getting into their offense for what seems like the first time tonight Moreland has it peeled away but off the foot of Beaudry that's peeled out there she'll go up she'll miss the two trying to come away with the board gonna be a jump ball or a foul we'll see I'm gonna get a timeout called by Fenwick just in time she was all over the place on that play he was and she's trying to get her own rebound outside inside played like playing crazy it's a very aggressive player on that especially on the defensive side of the ball and if she loses the ball and it's within her reach she's gonna try to get it you see the Fenwick coach really appealing to a ref there at midcourt he was saying he really has I don't blame him no I absolutely they play real aggressive defense and you expect to see some high foul rates but it especially in the first quarter it was out of control you knew there was something going on and I don't I'm not saying anything about the referees at all I'm just saying is it seems like every time Moreland's involved she played so aggressive that her opponent plays just as aggressive if not more and more files are gonna be called when she's involved in a play and she's involved in just about every play for the Panthers and especially if it's downloaded they trying to stop her with the ball in her hands you know the fouls you usually go the offensive way in favor up the offensive play coming out of the timeout Fenwick steel with a 20-point lead Beverly only with 26 points thus far just two points in the quarter Nadeau it's a past half court Galland takes a pic from DiPietro drops it down three to jewbilee Emma in and out rebound DiPietro gets it to go and it looked like Moreland got a piece of that I can't believe that when it it looked like Marlin was right on her like you said caught a piece of it it's layoff went through the contact that's just the way it's kind of gone for Fenwick tonight they're getting every offensive board it seems like is Moreland on the ground for that she'll get the jump ball to stay with the Panthers you know at all times offense and defense it just seems like Fenwick they're in the right place at the right time and that's a testament to the coaching it is Fenwick in that zone 3 from baekje got it to go well they're gonna call it a 2 [Applause] it's not as an open look as you're gonna get in the corner what a pass from Galant shot off the mark but DiPietro gentle an offensive rebound the putback and one this Beverly team is having a hard time boxing out all night and DiPietro makes them pay their with yet another offensive board Becky got caught trying to just get the ball instead of boxing out and doing that DiPietro looking you complete the old-fashioned three-point play gets to go [Applause] lead extends 2:23 for Fenwick Moreland in the corner Anderson no-good Moreland she'll be fouled she'll shoot - that's the fourth on meager while I'm doing a great job getting that offensive board and she's on the board for the first time in this quarter meter we'll sit not something you say often nope it's not almost six minutes in in and out rebound Fenwick [Music] Galland cross-court pass to Petros sent away by Moreland [Applause] you see coach Donovan over there dragging that ball down boys he limber looks like he could get out there probably drop 20 on these girls I thought that was him do what I was looking at I was like that is driving Nadeau for two off the mark rebound Bakey and taken away by NATO gallant with a fresh shot clock in the corner Gonzales gallant calling for cross-court back near court driving to googly a floater no good her own offensive board in another fresh shot clock for Fenwick ins coach Stan shalls' head is in his hands he cannot believe it he's not happy with the defensive effort here from the Panthers DiPietro an easy mid-range to the only ask the team the blue keep it was so long he can't keep coming up offensive boards like that Moreland has it sent away are gonna be actually have a foul on DiPietro it's DiPietro's third he's not happy again and I don't blame him again actually I didn't really see it either looked like a block I called it as a block but Pete Rio called for her third and she has seven you'll get no argument from me it doesn't look pretty clean maybe some home cookin little host team who knows I don't know how referee politics work although I have complained about my fair share especially in 2k oil an ox that second one down barely an even 30 now trailing by 23 again minute 13 left to go in the third go on she fed with being very patient this quarter with the ball that's he got to do with a big lead you just gotta kind of sit on it you know ask him deep three two googly OMA off the ground morally gonna be called for a foul and she's already arguing that's a tough one to let go though it is she just plays so aggressive and you really love to watch it too especially as a freshman and you know as she evolves and gets older and gets more mature she's gonna know what plays to go all-out for what plays to really just pick your battles on his native air balls a three yeah absolutely you know that aggressiveness and I thought lettuce isn't even when she's giving up a little bit of height sometimes down low it doesn't matter her steps are so quick she's so fast in her reaction that you can fight through that it's what separates her from just about every other girl she goes up against nice move there look at the speed yeah you just can't say enough about her and I I remember I did a game believe it was the second home game of the season where she had a triple-double 26 21 points 26 boards in 11 blocks that's crazy you know she has those Gabe's uptime so it seems like she just gets in that zone and there really is no stopping her she did that in Revere game against someone with a division 1 scholarship yeah and she's a freshman she sends that one away by go from gallant and it sends it away again and at the end of 3 Beverly they are down by 21 but they played a lot better in that third quarter especially towards the end Moreland took over in the past there in the last minute and a half we saw Beverly's last game too they kind of coasted with a big lead and things got actually count it nicely in the past Minutemen and a half I believe but a 15-point lead got down to about 6 or 7 in that last name so it can happen Beverly you don't need a lot to come back here but it might come to a point where they're just looking to build momentum and build a good foundation for tomorrow's game whether they're playing in the championship game against Masco or they're gonna play in the consolation game against Gloucester but you know coach Dan shalls' not thinking about tomorrow I was thinking about right now he's thinking about a fourth-quarter comeback yeah absolutely you think that you isn't that baekje in the game right now but I wouldn't be surprised if he puts her in and they just think about it you got to make this as fast as possible got it we got to feed it to the outside shooters exactly I think if they can get something going quick I would expect him to put in baekje maybe take out God she hasn't really been effective and it's not that it's anything against her it's that this Fenwick defense has smothered everybody on this Beverly Tien they've done you know we talked about you get that third person involved you got to accept the fact that you know Moreland and Anderson are probably gonna gonna get their points it's about can you just keep it at that and Fenwick has done a brilliant job of neutralizing just about everybody else the offensive threat Galant driving on bernard can't get it to go but a quick offensive port for the Crusaders yet again driving Gonzales mid-range no good bernard finally grabs that one for the Panthers and to Guglielmo seems to be shaken up a bit although she stretching that way in that right leg out maybe and meters gonna come in for her seems to be alright DiPietro exits and we're gonna get pica for her as well yeah I know all too well about a cramp the cramp up sitting down Beaudry about the past half court she does and she gets trapped as soon as she does elbows her way out of it Moreland to Anderson three just off the mark that was a long three that she put up that in the hands of gallant for the Crusaders she had a big first half quiet in that third quarter ripped away but we're gonna get a timeout just as the ball was getting ripped away the great timing that Panthers for once trapping somebody exactly a little taste of their own medicine Beverly has seven minutes to come back from a 21-point deficit and this is a much different game than the one that was played by these two teams in the Christmas tournament again we mentioned Nate who was out for that with an ACL injury is a game that Fenwick only 1x8 they have a 21-point lead here in Nate who's the leading scorer so it's all you need to know she's the difference absolutely you know we talked about you knowing that this team had beat you before and you think that you need to come out fast and you need to get that confidence and Bishop really set the tone early on for just how the game was gonna be played and at what pace was good yeah that game tomorrow if it is Fenwick against mask Oh a great team who slaughtered Gloucester that's gonna be a game that I think everybody's we're gonna really wanted to an inch or a watch or come down and see it here at Beverly High School have you interested in bishops you know I can't believe they're 99 I wonder what their record was free injury and post injury and we're gonna have to get a cleanup on the court well if we can get a shot of that some kids drop some popcorn Beverly Athletic Trainers Charlotte Moran is over there helping them well we got to get a shot of that somehow that's priceless all right we're not we're not gonna get one it's cool just saying would have been fun it's then we get on it is this kid playing 52 pickup that's gonna be a bear thing you're just sitting there you're going hard Oh gotta make this path referee rushing over and I'm sure it was butter on that popcorn so he's got the towel oh it doesn't sound like a hard thing to do that you take a while but when you know you mess up and you got everyone looking at you he's dropping everything and we're back to playing 705 left to go in the final quarter here Beverly trailing 53-32 trying to build some momentum great pass meager no good Moreland catches and go she's off to the races she's got Anderson with her she'll keep it herself last touched by Gonzales she kicks it out [Applause] so Beverly with 25 on the shot clock and have an inbound underneath the Fenwick hoop Moreland out to Gaucho Pandor Tsin deep three of them from here she really set her feet though on it she got out her hand real quick her technique in shooting that was so good that even when it's not a great shot the end result airball that I've ever looks good coming off our hands issues one of the better shooters I remember seeing here at Beverly High School Yelp's of course she had Natalie Mellinger a couple years ago she was a deadly shooter you had Aaron Silvestri back when I was in school here she was a deadly shooter tatiana moran a great shooter in her own right and the next one Haley Anderson is gonna be on that list he put herself on it as a sophomore Barnard with the board especially second half of the year and in the tournament where the game felt like actually a run for their money for a while we saw Haley come on as a shooter in Moreland powered away through their meager were probably flopping there although I don't know I would not want Moreland to run through me can tell you that right now don't be flat on my back three from gallant [Applause] she's got five in this second half 15 on the night excuse me 16 another turnover for the Panthers and everything seems to be unraveling 22 point lead for Fenwick and sophomore number 14 Michaela röszke where's give me Rossi see her first action tonight the pressure has been there from the Fenwick defense all day but the turnovers didn't really start to happen until about late in that uh in that second quarter and from there it's it's just snow balled Moreland grabbing the rebound Gonzales had the missed three from Anderson couldn't get the bounce foul on gallant I believe that's her third is the third fourth team foul on the Crusaders Anderson long - yes there we go [Applause] 5:15 Barnard knocks that one away but Rossi ends up with it she'll turn it over holder he pushing it quickly three on three she slows it down rollin setting something up she has Anderson in the corner she sends it down to Gaucho couldn't handle it looked like it might have been poked by a crusader and it's going to stay with the Panthers Barnard she'll inbound down low to her she's double-teamed she'll be foul looks like she was hit in the face yeah I think she caught an elbow maybe an elbow or a finger to the eye she's good though she'll shoot two can't knock down the first can't get either to go that hurts Baldry poking that one away Beverly team although down 24 the majority of this half not quit at all absolutely they're still battling looking down on my score sheet here I'm sure to make sure I got this right I've looked over to a couple of times it definitely is seven points for the Panthers from everybody else Anderson mole and everything else when we went off nine Anderson Moreland just seven points so Moreland and Anderson combining for 29 out of the 36 Beverley points and that's not a recipe for a win no absolutely not timeout is called I believe by the Panthers four and a half minutes left to go in the fourth in Beverly right now really just playing for momentum trying to see what they can get going and feel positive going into into tomorrow's game and this is a valuable learning experience for this young team especially being in a tournament against a team with the cat as talented as Fenwick second time you're playing with this season they seem like they've played a lot of games recently they had two games on the road in the same week and then they played on Tuesday and then they're gonna be playing today and tomorrow yeah but even before this right I just thought it was a very busy busy end to the season for the Panthers and then you're gonna have the playoffs - and that's rapid that waits for nope no team that's gonna be a lot of traveling but I'm telling them got to go through a little bit of a murderer's row trap by the Panthers Meagher gets it out Gonzales for three off the mark and we talked so much about Moreland you know she's a freshman Gonzales played a lot of minutes tonight for Fenwick she's also a freshman in her own right she sends that one away and we talked about how the foul trouble could be an issue but you know Gonzales at you one of the keys off the bench stepping up and that's what you need it's a team effort Anderson trying to chase that one down it sends her out of bounds we're at the four-minute mark in the fourth quarter something something goes wrong something bad happens next person steps up no that's a recipe for success right there that's how you win games yeah we've seen it of course from gallant in that first half she didn't have it we saw it in the first quarter from her she don't really have it in the second then Nate who stepped up and we're gonna get an elbow right there Beaudry took it to the face you know they're actually gonna call a block on that even though it was clear that Norton noble Baldry right in the mouth but hey Crusaders coach gets one he does the weirdest one of them all yeah absolutely Meagher looking down low guarded by Moreland we might have had just the best look at it though of everyone we did it was living right in front of us on the near side and then boulders even checking her teeth after made sure they were all there Moreland fouled and already complaining to the ref she's so competitive she is three and a half left in the fourth still a 20-point lead for the Crusaders and you see the googly Alma who was we thought it was cramps who came out in that third quarter she's got a nice pack around that right ankle on the outside of it so it might be a little more serious than cramps and even though she only had two points tonight very talented offensively very gifted [Applause] definitely a key piece off that Fenwick bench it'll be interesting to see if that's affecting the team tomorrow and another foul on Northern sir second you know points wise it's not hard but everything else it's hard to say who is key who wasn't because I'm just seeing great team defense totally from the Crusaders tonight everybody where they need to be bright spots the help comes quick Boulder knocks down the first of a one and one not the second Gaucho pokes that one away but meteor comes away with it quickly into the hands of the point guard gallant Gonzales looking for Norton foul by Beaudry the 15 foul thirst Kalon calling for a pick quickly passes ticking solace meager down low to Norton long to just short quickly off to the races his Moreland she has Anderson whither shall keep it herself with contact completes it 18 point lead now Meagher driving completes it with the left hand over Moreland 2:24 left Beverly trailing by 20 again that isolating one on one kill has worked so well all day for the Crusaders Anderson Autry in the corner a little too much on it the Anderson gonna try to step up on gallant when she hits half court McCarthy checking in soon go on download a meager working on Moreland turnaround got it to go so meters got the last four points for the Crusaders after being in foul trouble the majority of the game she's still here in the fourth quarter and if you were to tell me when she had three fouls early in that first quarter that she was gonna be still playing in the fourth call you crazy yeah absolutely good against moral information the entire night you would expect that man if you keep her in the game she'd be out of there but a third quarter timeout Fenwick a minute 33 left to go the Crusaders lead 60 139 and we've been saying it all night Moreland and Anderson showed up they've done their part we needed a third or fourth score the Panthers did to really step things up but that Fenwick defense had the clamps on this Panther offense all game long would not allow it I mean poetry and Gaucho didn't get on the bar way till the third and then the fourth forgot and with the last one we got nine points from everyone else not more than Anderson can't say enough about that defense that is an amazing job in offensive boards to Beverly needed to do a better job of boxing out Eastmoreland was doing her job in boxing out although she missed a few assignments but it was Bernard really not boxing out as well she should have bacon letting up a few offensive rebounds and a lot of the guards to really just forgetting about their defender is really what it came down to a lot of second-chance points for the Crusaders wish I had it down on paper it's easily 2025 second chance points I think that came with the pressure of what was going on around them yep we didn't see it as bad early on that as it started to become clear but the pace was going Fenwick's way up I think in general things tightened up yeah you started they started lunging just for the ball and not getting those box outs and you saw early in the game fennel was getting open shots as morlun takes that one away should probably put this one in for two she does but early early on Fenwick was getting open shots they were just missing them and he knew sooner or later they were gonna fall a team this good wasn't gonna miss those shots they eventually started to fall just under a minute left Beverly has not quit the entire game poked away again by Moreland she's probably gonna put this one in for an easy two and she actually doesn't rebound McCarthy Moreland can't get that one to go I gotta stop jinxing her yeah you're basing this team that was bad taken away by Bernard they're fighting and gonna be a backcourt violation [Applause] taken away by Anderson and she's fouled attache being called for that foul whole new group in for the Crusaders getting everybody some minutes [Applause] it would you know another game tomorrow that that little bit of extra rests can be very helpful Anderson knocks down the first because sometimes what happens in tournaments fatigue or you know adrenaline dump or letdown kind of comes into play for the next game but you shouldn't quick steal off the inbounds that to go you're both fine weekend masks are probably both got you know coasted to a nice victory so there won't be a factor for them it's Beverly unit doing a good job against this Fenwick Panthers putting up some points here in garbage time maybe try to get another shot off Anderson throws it up just can't get that one to go so at the end of this one the Crusaders take it 61 45 over the Panthers Beverly drops a 12 and 7 Fenwick improves to 10 and 9 all-important on their quest to get into the playoffs and they clinch a playoff spot with that win tonight their 10th win in 19 games of play and you can't say enough about Moreland obviously and can't say enough about Anderson it was the other few girls on the team that Beverly needed to step up and and it's not that they don't have the talent to do that it's just this Fenwick defense at the clamps on Beverly almost all night absolutely I think they came in with a real good game plan you saw it very early on they committed to the press they committed to make Beverly speed up and I think they accepted the fact you know what Marlins gonna get their points let's make her earn him at the line a lot of it yeah but you know Morla innocently gonna get their points let's make sure that we just keep it 2-dimensional and credit to Moreland if there's one place excuse me it that she struggled this season it's at the line and she got it got off the chop done tonight at the line it just wasn't enough for this Panther team they end up trailing 6145 hoping in the consolation game tomorrow against Gloucester 1 more points and make it kind of really comes down to that late in the second quarter when they got that run they got it to within three I mean look at this early this was not this easy they coasted at the second half but that really made an interesting they came back back-to-back threes yeah went on an eight-oh run and from there things kind of snowballed a lot of turnovers on offense that's what it started professor yeah great job from this Fenwick defense Beverly a lot to improve on tomorrow as they play Fenwick's looking forward to a tournament championship game against Moscow tomorrow night that does it for us here stay tuned because myself in Tom Donovan will be calling the Beverly boys hosting the Beverly or excuse me the Bishop Fenwick boys that game starts at 7:15 but to be a good one that she's going to be a really good game they're warming up here it's got a packed house already final game of opening night of the tournament so thank you Tom for joining me finally we did a game yeah all season long I was thinking about that too it was good enough took all season long but we got it done for Tom Hornsey no Malick's Luke oh thank you to Matt boo Joe mark layman and Robert jokes doing what they do and we'll see you in about a half an hour if not 20 minutes for the start of this Fenwick and Beverly game tonight [Music]

offensive board McCarthy you had a travel boy Rick lost her and she makes that you gotta go no not another thing we got to worry about with her shock Melvyn to sumner good opportunity but they can't follow through with it shot clock turned off 18 seconds left in the third quarter another three from Anderson can't get oh good offensive board Moreland and another in a putback chill be fouled chill shoot to nothing you can do if you're Gloucester there maybe box out that's the really only thing I can me and if you box are out she's going over the top of you yeah it looked like she looked like she went over top of that to get that one it's Melvin's third Beverly in the one-on-one now she's just so hard to stop struggling at the line tonight is Moreland she gets that one to go [Applause] and Holton back into the game for these final seconds of the third see if she can chuck up a three deep three from Knowlton air ball so again debris the Panthers are leading 4633 they break it open they outscore Gloucester 14 to 3 in that third quarter Beverly's defense was great in their offense was clicking to Anderson had a couple big shots as well as Bakey yeah you know that's what we'd like to see you know you know that you know there's a better team right now they what cloths are hanging around but opened up a big lead now now they got to finish the job it's sometimes it's been an issue for them see Stan she'll talk with him right now and probably that's that's what he's saying to them right now he still got a whole minute left we saw in the Marblehead game here on senior night they had a big lead very even late in the first quarter and they let up and marble had got it back to within about I remember correctly was about 7 or 6 yeah the Panthers can't let the foot off the gas don't want Gloucester to have any sense of hope they have two players with four fouls apiece it looks like I think I'm seeing something on the floor right now if Sumner and Knowlton both out there yeah with Shrock Melvin and good well that's where you got to do right now you can't let this game get out of hand it already has a little bit but Melvin too good for three no good schrock keeps it in throws it off McCarthy smart play there by strong leaving the Panthers in scoring tonight Anderson she has 16 Moreland adding 14 double-double for her just three more blocks for a triple-double to see if it happens Knowlton good step off and support summer cut back like you said some not really scoring much it's only her second and third points tonight but she's playing great Dee Anderson another three just off the mark jump ball good job by Sprague to get in the mix to the team of possession yeah and with Sumner out they really let Moreland take over the game we saw a couple of times down there getting multiple offensive rebounds Karthi quick three from the corner no good Melvin board quickly out to Knowlton she'll try to get something going held scoreless in that third quarter June 9 in the first half Schrock the runner in the lane no good Sprague quickly out to Anderson poked away by Knowlton almost got her fifth foul there smart move by ants in there to slow it down afterwards and he got 11-point lead seven minutes left Moreland for three in a fool that would have been something [Applause] follow-on stop her I think that's five that is she's done summer will foul out marshal will come in her place why are you talking about a change with marshal coming into something there oh yeah and it'll be one in one our producer set it in our ears - he's paying more attention than probably anybody else spray get the line can't knock down the first good job I'm Melvin to get in there a foul by Bernard it's funny how things change early on in the game it was the Panthers the ones with foul trouble they're starting to wonder you know Bernard had to sit early white hair had to sit and then all of a sudden now we're talking about the fishermen someone's fouled out already and don't have to sit for much of that third quarter schrock looking for good Knowlton hesitation move drops it out to Melvin two seconds on the shot clock Marshall throws up a three no good Anderson trying to run it down last touched by good going the other way Beaudry we'll check in [Applause] just over 6 left to play here double trouble Anderson in for Knowlton surprising there to see Knowlton heading to the bench especially when the teams on offense Melvin and it is a weird sort of decision no guns big one of the three-point threat still hasn't changed she has even though she has four fouls Moreland with contact finishes their first points in the fourth quarter she's got 15 points in the game Schrock fancy moves at midcourt Anderson Marshall Melvin she'll drive past Moreland she'll complete it coach mute is looking for a foul call I don't blame a Moreland quickly in transitioning for two she's got 17 she's taken over 50 37 Beverly 13-point lead she's been consistent all throughout the game but with Sumner out she really can take over the game there's just no answer after that especially when you put Marshall in her place you're gonna have to put Melvin on Moreland and she's just chose another speed she doesn't have the speech doesn't even have the height either so Beverly leading 50 37 lead by 13 weave it ties their largest lead of the night they can ascend gosh back in with Bernard Beaudry Anderson in Moreland and let's take a look at the standings for the Division one north girls and see it on your screen here in a moment we're going to see the graphic for the seeding of the Division one North girls in the mi that fancy basketball and the Division one North standings you see Belmont up there with Masco a team that is playing here tonight and you see Beverly sitting there at 12 and 7 around a couple NEC teams still can't that it's over for them for our home game two it is over for them for a home game right now they're just going for seeding and with the wind today they're most likely not going to be playing Revere a team that they beat they're probably gonna draw Everett or Billerica something we talked about earlier and I think we both agree you'd rather see everyone oh absolutely you know what you get and the confidence should be pretty high because they played a good game against them close and Moreland wasn't there grabs a board she was away in Florida yeah flag football yeah yeah and we're gonna get a charge shows you just what kind of athlete he is Marshall called for that foul playing tough Deon Beaudry Bernard drops it down to Moreland trying to add that point total finds Bernard cutting to the hoop she'll be fouled she'll shoot to good awareness there knowing the times to take it yourself and knowing when to find someone open Bernard was open streaking down knocks down the first free throw Knowlton will enter the game come in for Anderson I just got a text from Tom Donovan who just took that charge they're getting a tommy point I believe it was Beaudry who took that charge but good to see Tom Donovan giving us a view we'll be seeing him tonight 7:15 as the boys team hosts Masco as Moreland grabs out one they have numbers three on one she'll take it herself Moulton she'll draw the charge and that's crucial because that would have been the fifth on Knowlton's Moreland now that's her third foul endanger fouling out she still has the guts to do that and tell you if if we if we win anyway can we give her a call reporting for that probably could but that was a good one we can't give him out the only I know John I know all the Tomcat he's got those in his pocket on guard the foul by Moreland the block that's her fourth substantial showing the motion of the push off thought Melvin was giving her a little push he was just standing there look in his arm and I believe it was Beaudry who took that charge first again coach text me again Beaudry didn't catch the name knocked down by Melvin Andersen offensive Moreland and that's a Knowlton spife she's out of here two players fouling out tonight for the fish and then first sumner now Knowlton but we'll have to double check for Tom to give that Tommy point now we can go back and take a look at it because I'm not sure I was corrected callable got a love modern technology you can tell you last night I went back and watched the boys game about five different times to see Toscani of Ray whose dunks yeah ever coming here you show me that that's crazy he had 30 last night again to lead the boys Moreland Duncan Duncan Moreland he had 20 nice jumper there from the freshman Marshall and Gloucester's not Quinton 12-point lead for the Panthers Moreland in transition finds Anderson in the corner for three yeah make it count 19 points in the game for Anderson good D on that end as well poking that away 242 left to go in this game Beverly their largest lead tonight 15 points good can't handle in a halfway up the court but she grabs it Anderson she's guarding Marshall good switch bit there by the Panthers in the corner fouled on Bernard believe that's her fourth shooting - Rachel Rallo and knock down the first and you know with the with the lead going down to about two after the first half I think we were looking at each other a little bit concern but they have come out here in the second half and they have handled their business yeah they put the clamps on in the third quarter Anderson another three and get that one to go [Applause] [Music] we're gonna get a jump all gonna go to Gloucester to 14 left to go in the fourth in the fishermen only 11 points total in the third quarter in six minutes into the fourth so it's Beverley defense doing its job drastic improvement from last night after that loss to Bishop Fenwick yeah they've really righted the ship on just about everything that's my offensive turnover problem very early on but they shared that up now well called for the travel Catanzaro is gonna come in for good Beaudry in the corners Anderson another three she had to go she likes that corner three trigger-happy tonight but it doesn't matter because she's knocking him down 22 points for Anderson she's making a case to be on that all tournament team as Moreland grabs the board has it poked away fouled by schrock but I think it's gonna go to Moreland double-double today I think it is - seven blocks included like I'm gonna lost the wager there you might have Chipotle next time joking I wouldn't mind if there was a next time that's true the last game mola knocks down the free throw a couple subs Anderson and Beaudry's night will be done and have McCarthy entering as well as the other Anderson number five Cydney Anderson freshman so with Haley's night Haley Anderson's identity 22 points she dropped tonight she hit five threes and Beverly has three freshmen out there actually four freshmen and one sophomore you have Moreland McCarthy Anderson in white hair out there with Barnard it's peeled by Anderson very young team this Beverly is and I guarantee you're gonna see a lot of talent from the second group as Anders and misses that three inch is called for a foul immediately after that's it's crazy the youth of this team and you know sometimes when we talk about what's going wrong here why are they playing down it's hard to forget how young this team is Moreland's night is done double double for her she added seven blocks as well entering the game is another sophomore viana Concha Oh ten blocks yeah you have four down for ten yeah Adam Attica ten Wow we'll see I'm sure that they're keeping sands down there I know they are for this tournament so maybe she got another triple-double with Blanc's who knows wouldn't surprise me at all just over a minute left to go only thing left to be decided is the final score Barnard puts it in for two [Applause] Beverly's largest lead of the night it's up to 21 now 62 41 three off the mark white hair in transition she has Anderson she's gonna keep it herself though she'll slow it down with contact no call Bernard off in sport and put back into Bernard seven points herself now on the game her and work together providing that third man we talk about white hair in transition easy too 66 41 Beverly piling it on this second unit as young as they are they have a lot of talent yeah they've got a lot of playing time too which is key board grab by Bernard she'll run out the clock Beverly wins the consolation game here 66 41 and we're gonna keep action still we're gonna get a player from each team being named to the all-tournament team I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's Alisa Moreland for the Panthers I think you might be right and then I'm also gonna take a guess just I didn't watch the game yesterday that Gloucester the girls played but judging by the team today I'd have to go with either Knowlton or schrock so we'll see but today's game great Moreland maybe a triple-double unofficially according to our records we'll see Anderson though huge with 22 points yeah some big threes to kind of stretch that litchi she got it early in the third quarter which was good because we were a little concerned that Gloucester was getting back in it Anderson had some threes that created that space and they did what they needed to do after that and exactly Gloucester was in foul trouble maybe they could have made it a game down the stretch don't missed too much time in crucial minutes yeah absolutely we talked about you know the need for that third man work Bakey and Bernard added that seven points for Bernard and eight for baekje and you see Shrock they're getting named to the all-tournament team that's Larry McIntyre awarding the plaque to schrock of course Larry McIntyre classic kind of a big deal yeah absolutely I wonder it's a nice tournament again at the end of the year some of the teams who can't make the play office they have another another chance as a freshman she had to double doubles maybe a triple double - we'll find out I'm sure after the game more than the last night had 22 12 and 4 tonight she added I have it at 17 17 points for Moreland double digits and boards maybe 10 blocks - we'll see maybe so that does it for this game the consolation game between the Beverley girls and the Gloucester girls probably winning that 66 41 they improve to 13 and 7 and we'll see based on other scores mainly the Billerica Revere game whether Beverly plays Billerica or they play Everett that'll be big make this a huge so we'll be back at 7:15 for the boys game it'll be me in Tom Donovan calling that one Beverly will host Masco for the championship game here at the Larry McIntyre classic expect a big crowd there tonight definitely come down if you'd like or sit home in your comfy house and just watch it there on Bev cam or YouTube channel 22 or WW youtube / Bev cam TV if you want to stream it on YouTube so for Dom Lorenz on oh I'm Alex Luke oh thank you to mark Pierre White Salem High bonny was a terrific before those before me he never saw anything corny would shoot from downtown and make it alright so they did they got it up there now outside North so it's 12:10 Andrews knocked out is first in these bigs for Fenwick and Andrews and lo sure I'd like to touch on the following analysis off touch they have height with those two pigs but not a lot on them we'll see how much fight they have but they look to the eye that they can be pushed around a little bit Moreland Kamara driving dishes out to rain-free no good I like the way God marriage playing he's playing very pray you nice pass to Moreland puts it up Davies with the ward in the foot back [Applause] it was a great pass from Abreu though to Moreland on that initial shot I'll tell you felon plays a very tough legal we have to so Davies poked it away Moreland with it now the rain drops it off to a brilliant good passing Kamara for throwing I tell you I was really playing with confidence I can see you Pig no three pulls up knocks it down he's got six I like this kid I heard a lot of bottle I first looked at him Bauer's nice save there but right into the hands of a brave Corner three Davies and foul on doraid his first Luigi's first second on the team and get to 10 ago 16 to 12 fast-paced game already Keenan with six pick Nolan with six four threes already for Fenwick Beverly yet to connect from downtown sure that will change soon big no I'm thinking about a three come out I got beat Davies foul big no one will shoot to do we do he's first team foul we should have pair at the line 155 left to go in the first pick gnome I'm sure he's a pretty good free toaster oven 1712 family Pig no don't lean yur only two seniors on this excuse me three seniors on this roster yeah really yeah the young fritz also coming off the bench he is a senior as well really like the ball moving on Beverly Logan to zone you're really playing very unselfish drink kicks it out I'm gonna get a quick foul here it's gonna be on Keenan we're gonna have to do a better job of noticing who fouls here right up so we gotta pay attention asking a lot of us not official we're trying to date the best weekend that's gonna be key knees at least its first half Seann Walsh enters their Luigi for three for the clock gotta call one for three is Derain from beyond the arc in this first quarter in Beverly all six players that have entered the game have scored six different scores for the Panthers already tonight the first court rule that's good to see the bones corner that's another thing about Beverly to LA Alex they're very balanced team the high team in really placed watch the defense against big no driving drops it down three from keen and weigh all islands Wow labret you pushing it forward Davies slows it down Kamara almost pulls up a brave you almost pulls up as well it's fake look at lines terrain nice job that's a nice in and out good shot by Luigi good shot good sequence to buy the Panther yes you're really moving that rock tonight aren't they they really are spreading the well fall six scores like we're all six players like we said have scored already Crowley pushes it up with the console nice recovery should have been the end one I thought Brady's got six he's down in not one of them to see it talking like a coach now I know but seriously those were three Donny they're all actually they got big they've got three really ones on foul there it's gonna be under rain that's his second Luigi second the fourth on the team in some early minutes from senior Jared mcCormick he's the hole for one shot we got ten seconds ago on the quad up that was gonna hold for one downloaded Davies back out to McCormack oh you got to look for the hoop here too late Millville shot off ours not gonna get it off wasn't aware of how much time was left on the clock so after one Fenwick leads 1817 early foul trouble for Luigi terrain he had two in that first quarter we're gonna see a little bit more of him probably as terrain is in foul trouble hey we got a quick timeout here we got a couple of birthday wishes believe it happy birthday to my good buddy Sarah Cummings her birthday was squish all you want I don't know really oh yeah I don't know I don't really know how it started but it got so start of the second quarter Panthers great ball movement again Moreland he'll be fouled he'll shoot - he fits the foul hemlock time to seize it's gonna be on 40 - Christian low sure the freshman that's his first nice to have the young hey I got glasses so that's what's helping me [Laughter] makes is first not all night meant all year a fat belly is a team Alex's chopped the ball pretty good from the line all year because I put the jinx on the kiss of death but seriously I mean they were like 19 for 23 one game Bauer's driving with contact can't get it to go he'll get his own board actually that was low sure the freshman he throws it out of bounds so Beverly still looking on the first lead and hopefully they get her right here in this possession Kamara getting a start and rotting Zab since three from Abreu he shot just short Horlick all nice to me by my Moreland rolling only a sophomore but he plays like a grown man on the block good nose for the ball Moreland little turnaround jump shot is no good more likely boughs take their own with the ball to marry good defense o comes away with a ble up to Moreland it'll be the violent yet complete the play though he'll shoot two vowels gonna be balanced on the floor it's great defense there by Kamara on pick neurone all right Marlo nothing to give belly their first lead of the night he's got it 19:18 Beverly 654 going the half second free throw is up no good 2 for 4 from the line is more on tonight Keenan he had two threes in that first quarter big known also had two threes in that first quarter great defense at GAD by the Panthers his Moreland in Chamorro wreaking havoc in that backcourt for the Crusaders Natalya come out he's playing good defense on this no knee making him work a good pitch to he's gonna give his shots to get his touches deep three from pick no no good but what happens he how far he was to be one of those he's gonna fire up when he first wants to get that should be covered all it is terrain he'll enter the game now two fouls in that first quarter he's gonna come in for a tomorrow give kudos told him good straight defense don't reach no stupid foul this is your Amphicar third foul long way to go again family's in the 2-3 zone they're gonna make bail again from the other side that was getting good looks than great ball movement to get me good looks because of the ballroom probably download trying to get it out he gets it back putting it up on and moorlands a man among boys the putback he's got six belly up three belly in the press now Alex with the two one to press the pig known taking the pic gets it to the corner back out to Kenan it's guarded by Marlon poked away by the rain did we just get through saying this huh that's his third foul and it we just been too soon he's gonna have to come back out tomorrow back in for the rain the rain will broad will be sitting down for he's not going places no yep geez we just got to trouble at that plays straight up don't reach there live with a three-point lead he can't knock the effort I mean I know the ouija be playing hide and you know it's I'm not to tell you to play Bobby tomorrow with the board he's pushing gonna take it himself part the Red Sea Crowley Oh takes it right away from nice play by Jeff Crowley this Davies open floater offensive board Rowley put back he'll be fouled believe it's gonna be on you before hours it's actually gonna be on the injuries it says first or unofficially is for officiating Beverly two four five at the line tonight never fails you talk about how good they do many misses both off and support the very seldom misses from the line he's gonna like automatic at the line Abreu drives great move near the hoop Crowley trouble trying to come down with the rebound but it's gonna be a jump ball it'll go to the procedures 21:18 five minutes exactly the goal in the half belly with the press now they're in a UCLA two to one press family breaks it pretty good Bauer's floater tough shot Davies with the rebound and that press he was beaten by Fenwick but it forced them to really rush it and not settle down their offense and take a low percentage shot Moreland for three no good come on good look by Moreland threats with it now he's the third seat neuron this team big gnome low sure the freshman back to Pig no now it's Anders hey this penalty moves the ball pretty good Alex Pig know and that's the kid you don't want shootin rebound whap he's off to the races nothing in long who's gonna settle good decision by Duncan Kamara three wit spot off and it's good shot spot-on good shot Oh almost turned over they fill minutes to go on the gate and a half belly-up three low-scoring game 21:18 good movement again by the Crusaders Bauer's trying to drive Comoros Thompson it's thrown ups were andrews turnover it's gonna be Beverly ball who took that first time on LSD it was Fenwick for timeouts left for the Crusaders five for the Panthers Morland Kamala back to Moreland from the charity stripe off the mark off back iron we've shot that was getting good shots just not dropping gotta keep shoot me Bauer she Bowers couldn't handle it Gaines controls Kenan now drives past Abreu drops it back to Fritz Andrews Fritz three off balling rebound I'll let the kamau me nice fast nice man - he'll be fouled that's gonna be a jump ball 306 left to play in the first half pig Nolan entering again quickly run about at least two minutes with no score in here Alex well teams have gone cold Kamara inbounding and open Moreland he'll go up falling back offensive board Crowley put bags good valleys got four points in seven boards in this first half don't lose that five yesterday biggest lead so far 252 to go in the half take no whose's that one but gets it back to bowers pick no i'm calling for it and the corner bowers gonna throw it up he'll be fouled by crowley give me Carly's first foul gonna be six on the team so he's shooting two free-throws anyways Alex but the Nets foul on Billy will put Semak in the bonus for 101 first shot is up and good Bauer's 23:19 that was Fenwick's first points of the second quarter five and a half minutes into it she's you're right and that was their first Miss on the free-throw line Crowley to Abreu for three got the roll roll assisted from Crowley great look from the inside they'll be up seven the biggest lead to 14 years old it's gonna stay with Fenwick there Beverly ball well okay you're calling it the other way that's what happened there but we'll take it I'm not complaining Beverly up seven I'm like hanging around we talked about that earlier Alice you know you look you let a team hang around while I think they can win in trouble Abreu another three Heat you gonna give me this shot thank you very much timeout Fenwick a Brady's got six points in each of the first two quarters he has 12 of Beverly's 29 in Beverly leads 29 1829 19 excuse me in Fenwick only one point tonight and in this second quarter yeah that's been the difference if I've been what's gone cold they've got some good looks lower looks the ball just not talking for me hey we've got a nice crowd here else I see a wall the rebels Nonnie I see my cousin Jimmy Cowboys in the house so I'm like innocent earlier Wiki forest boys here I don't know it's a belly sectional if it kind of it seems like it's the Beverly section yeah [Applause] yeah coming out of this timeout Panthers winning this quarter 12 to 1 only one free-throw scored by Fenwick in this quarter Crowley sto Moreland has for 6 from the brain Heenan he had 6 in that first quarter on two threes and it was for early threes in the first quarter by Fenwick to give the Crusaders most of their points since then they've been very quiet turned off Everly looking to run nice jog get ready back Oh Davies nice pass to come our corner Crowley for three in the game's play that's a nice job Dave easily bombed he's strong say is it the Moreland Moreland strong points for him Bolin's got six in the second quarter he's got eight tonight the game minute twelve to golden for half all things going to call for me to follow to second now we're gonna be a one-on-one here now Fritz Fritz Marshawn another senior on this Beverly team got to get some minutes in for Davey's jet Fritz at the line 101 that was up 12 their biggest lead so far let's gets it to go actually interesting to point out one of our viewers Marlon my friend from college he covers high school basketball in Connecticut yeah they don't have a shot clock in Connecticut and high school basketball so interesting to note there yeah I'm just a tease I don't know you know you just hold the ball and hold the ball the ball Abreu another three this time it doesn't go but Kamara has it Mara nice soft touch other offensive board woman's been an animal tonight on the board he's got five already tonight proudly driving drops it down a hole nice pass nice job and the wherewithal moorlands intelligence there notices three bodies around on the quick head fake draws the foul he'll shoot two missed again we missed the EPP 45 seconds woman's gonna shoot a pair whistles good Beverly's lead is up to ten Lola knocksmash needs 4 for 6 from the line now and the clock think we got to reset the shot clock at least we have a shot clock things done [Music] the riff said 42 on the clock 27 on the shot clock he got belly for 33 points we have Alex could they get 32 up there what Chuck could I have time Duncan local three throws I'm pretty sure we'll check fritzsche looking for pig known trying to get going again Bowers takes his time off the mark rebound tomorrow that was really looking them running they get some numbers up ahead Crowley floater long that's a tough shot by Crowell especially for a big man but he's got great touch they got 35 now so they didn't make the question 14 seconds look at the last shot here picknelly up great team there could have been a big hoop for them going to half seven seconds six five Moreland for three can't get it to go Keenan he's gonna throw it but doesn't have enough on it and again it was after the buzzer so after the first half Beverley leading 35:21 they really took over in that second quarter they ever huh they outscored Fenwick by a lot Fenwick only scored three points in that second quarter 1803 they exploded so that's a big second quarter for Beverley cuz Beverly's big thing now is they gonna worry about it Luigi Duran has three fouls and Davis has two fouls so again a shot handed tonight so they got a lot just stay out of foul trouble but you know on all good first half 35:21 up 14 - Panthers in double figures Abreu with 12 Moreland with 10 and like you said early - everybody's getting to the X going out to play tonight so that's good balance going so after the first half Beverley leads 35:21 in a few minutes about five or six we'll be back for more analysis in that first half and more facts about the Larry McIntyre classic you got it you are watching Bev cam here anyone can come to the studio to make their own local TV show contact innocent can become big and sometimes scary all it takes is one comment one picture one video for something to catch fire but a big problem doesn't need a big response not at first even if we don't know what to say the eye emoji can be that first step we take let's all pledge to take that first small step together and change the world in a big way I'm a witness and so are you you creativity is make dreams happen you [Music] welcome back to channel 22 the Beckham Sports Network we're here at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse Beverly hosting Bishop Fenwick and the Larry McIntyre classic Alex Luca with Tom Donovan and in that second quarter Beverly really outplayed Fenwick they outscored them 18 to 3 and that's something that I believe will continue as this game goes out Beverly is gonna wear down this Fenwick team and their true players their scores Moreland Crowley and Abreu were just gonna eat away at this crusader team I've been very impressed with Beverly's ball moon in this first half they really moving the rock nice they're getting some they've missed a lot of wide-open shots just not dropping good shot you can't knock the shot selection I haven't seen Beverly really take a bad shot all night so also hey before I forget Roger Morenci a few out there and D&E manages Jack Romani the old time is Jeanne Corrado my good buddy Danny and Jeff Bryson quick shout out to you hope you enjoying the game on Bev cam and starting the second half of the Panthers is gonna be the starting five drain back in there he's got three fouls keep a close eye on that one who's surprised he's taught in him well let's see what happens here starting five out there for Fenwick as well Keenan and Bowers with big known low sure and Andrews alright Duran's got three like the cement analysis is coming very important for him to avoid them for Beverly with a man-to-man press seems like quickly beat by Finley Beverly backs off for Bray you up close on Pig know Beverly's coming out in the second half man-to-man jump ball okay we'll take it gonna be Beverly ball Terrell it's gonna get possession there we'll see how long they stay in that full court man-to-man press already forced a quick turnover from the Crusaders Crowley working on Andrews nice soft touch by Crowley good call good call good call dunk when you watch this you see you see it was off you I don't know I said yeah I know what's those I'm trying like most players no no now the way him and his sister the way they argue calls they're just so competitive can I swear sometimes they know they're wrong they just got to say something Andrews good move the left hand it's got a long frame does Andrews what you see him Andrews a junior to reign for three no good bring me what was going away with that board but Andrews grabs it picked on him from down heat up Crusaders starting second half on a five old run come on oh I pray you three for the answer he dies pray who gets you right back good job son Johnny Brady leading all scorers with 15 tonight guarding pick no drops it off low sure no good rebound Crowley almost loses it it's Connie with the ball terrain terrain cross-court pass Kamara he'll drive base lobs got to shoot that jump shot he had a nice open jump shot there Crowley nice job like Jack Farley feeling with it got blocked but grabbed his own rebound he's now get 8 points and 9 boards on his way to a double-double two minutes into the third quarter we're gonna get a timeout timeout bevel you dare to 42:26 panther lead so after a quick 5 all run from Fenwick Beverley answers with a 5o run of their own so for those of you not on the beach tomorrow with the 60-degree weather we're gonna have four games on staff here tomorrow starting at 2 o'clock I believe the first game gonna be the Beverly girls against the Gloucester girls and that'll be followed by the Gloucester boys and the loser of this news of this game and then the girls championship game will be masking on it and Bishop atomic that should be a beauty and then the winner of this game will be playing the mask atomic boys in the last game now before I forget we've got a custodian here Billy George I know on duty tonight and Billy was a playground baseball play player for me back in the day and this kid could clean hit oh really oh yeah and he looks like a hitter he was a good all-round ball big big huge Boston high sports fan it was a good man driving kicks it out to low sure it's Keenan now for three air ball Kamara coming away with the board almost loses it but quickly gets it to terrain [Music] sconnie look for Crowley here right path to the sky he's wide open three Babbitt's Abreu is on fire he's had six points in each quarters so far 18 points tonight for the young fella it's only the third quarter five and half to go probably almost had a steal big no Pig no 43:28 belly up 15 their biggest lead tomorrow mid range jumper no good pick No gets it to Bauer's thinking about a3 he'll drive instead no good rebound Moreland long on almost lost it tomorrow push you get off in it Oh Toscani maybe thinking about a heat check but kicks it out tomorrow come right now Colin wide open yeah good him a little cook up gonna snap the ball to him look for your hot shooter there nice pass on underneath there to Crowley come here jump off good call good call them should be fun with Bob Louise 43-28 bellies up just being look for 43 the goal in the third quarter Abreu fouling Keane in there it's a Braves first first team foul by mikela follow early in this half that we didn't catch me no no father no fouls for vent look so far in the second big known low sure the freshman good touch but the miss rebound Crowell he's already got ten boards two points away from a double-double turned over picked on with it now coming the other way [Music] Bauer's looking for Kenan Hill Drive left drops it back to Kenan floater in the lane got it to go Keenan's got eight Crusaders come to within 13 now fall away from Moreland he'll be fouled he'll shoot to believe it's going to go on low sure it is his second I'm officially we got two on him woman at the line again seems like he's been living it he's got 11 points tonight go along with six rebounds fritzsche gonna come in for Andrews so Crusaders going a little small here one is now six four eight after missing a couple early in the game Davies enters for Moreland someone's gonna get a breather Bowers sent away by Crowley and one great job there by Bowers grabbing his own rebound off the block leave it's gonna be on Davies and that's his third but we'll see I think you're right cuz my eyes aren't that great either and that's his third it's Beverly with two players three fouls Cara Kunis is gonna leave Davies in it's actually the second on Davies it says up there on the scoreboard so we go down for three I'm pretty sure he had tuna first and - that's what I thought as well I want to stay with Davies called for the bar I mentioned earlier this I swear this kid's gets more of a nice pass that was a griever pass nice give him gold let's do the follow them done with their I think it's only their team second it's on Fritz it's his second personal so there's the other one we missed here we go Crowley who was very uncanny missing two free throws earlier and the first half makes his first 1 1 for 3 from the line now offensive board terrain rebound by labret you calling for it in the corner teen havens is for the ball look at Davies oh god be strong with the ball nice save there by Kenan saved it behind his back pink known going in with contact can't finish but an offensive board from the freshman and he can't finish either Derain coming away with the rebound again it's pushing oh he just threw it wildly if they pick up his fourth not even closing he's getting going with you he's gonna come out Moreland's gonna come in for drain now big gnomes gonna be in the line can see de rain right there you can actually read his lips he said I thought I'd touched all ball love this technology we have we can read lips I used to tell my kids I've never seen a roughly say you know what he told me he never touched them so I'll take that fall away so when you see that for the first time let me know because we'll be to go make some more he'll slow at that floor floor from the line Abreu three good yes good toast Katya pray you time after time feeling it he's got nine in the third quarter keeps the lead bath the fourteenth umm I count it down 11 up to be him down 17 at one point 17 is the biggest leap that we said Roland pokes it away Laura comes away with it give it back here we go ray you he knows he's hot he's got 21 not even done with little REE you gotta look for him Kamara Bowers jump the passing lane coast to coast puts it in for two this Fenwick team although down big right now you're not quitting not down I'm not quitting at all they've got some good players as well Kevin Moran teams will never quit excellent coach the three guards that they have in Keenan Bowers and pick no I'm very good bring you another three out kento Scotty Abreu missed the shot I don't think so he's got 12 in the third quarter alone 24 tonight he is feeling it he's hit his last three three-point attempts as it was last touched by Bowers it's gonna go the other way Beverly leading 52 37 min and a half left to go time on here in the third quarter timeout gonna be called by Bishop Fenwick and what can you say about toast Connie Abreu tonight tonight he's not gonna say he's got six threes right now we might have to go back to the record books and see what the record is for very high for most threes in the game now the 10 years I coach I believe Matt Peterson as a sophomore had seven threes in one game Saugus on the road as a sophomore they didn't know who he was they knew who he was when they left the gym that your memory is incredible you know it was on the road at Saugus what year he was Wow anytime those standards up and you see they're Beverly at third right now and it's very important tonight that they get to swing and they beat NASSCO tomorrow because if that happens they're guaranteed that number two seed in the Division two North Tournament but if they lose and anything becomes complicated you don't want the coin flip between North van Dover and Belmont you see that I don't think the guarantee fits couple teams that only had five losses to on true so it could be a two or three way tie the about that's got a feeling it no good Dwalin can't come away with that rebound bellies up 1552 37 with 110 to going quarter fritz 3 no good rebound Moreland tries to throw it off of Valery so I thought Apollo it's gonna break their belly yeah see he's ahead of the pack and one great assist from a great great look it's like he rebounded and passed it in one motion see that follows Alex when you get a chance he's gonna have a chance for the old-fashioned three-point play she'd be gonna go on Fritz finishes the old-fashioned three and Beverly has the biggest lead Alex 18 right now just under a minute left to go in the third quarter pig known can't handle it Marshawn comes away with it pushes it up to a brave Marlin in the corner looking to pass cross-court it's Kimura he'll Drive drop it down nicely to Marsha and he can't handle it but he kicks it out to Davies gonna get a whistle no shot timeout caret Kudus 32.3 left to go in the third Beverly uses the timeout to draw something up here good timeout by Carroll kudos we talked about earlier there little short-handed tonight you get five timeouts I think it's three full to 20 seconds has it changed a little bit but you get five time eyelets why not use them so Bell bees upbeat teen take a little blow here and they're gonna get good went into the game in a moment here we're gonna bring up your picture Beverly into the tournament you see that could be Gloucester could be Salem maybe Burlington maybe Marblehead it all depends on this seeding and Beverly's gonna get a home game you might get a couple home game spending on their seeding isn't that something a good chance to play one of four teams and three out of the four are all from their own conference not these confident as you can see Gloucester Salem bobblehead won't that be something and not I tell ya any one of those three teams is gonna be a tough out yeah absolutely we saw a Gloucester plate mask Oh tough here this morning played really yeah I'm real tough all right 15 seconds on the shot clock here so then we'll get the ball back on let's be able to get two offensive rebound Goodwin calling for it who are you looking for here I'm looking for a brave after what happened all night Pig known three I'm gonna get the roll seconds on the clock Mullins pushing it can I get a high percentage shot the floater gets it to go Moreland's got 12 the heave at the end of the quarter is no good Beverly at the end of three they lead 57-37 their largest lead of the night 20 points and we mentioned earlier we saw the playoff teams that Beverly could potentially play you said it in the Northeast Conference you have Closter you have Salem and you have Marblehead it feels good that all three of those teams are teams that you beat in the regular season yeah so a brave leading all scorers tonight he's got 24 he had 12 in that third quarter he's a man on fire tonight 14 from Moreland 9 points from Crowley he's got 10 boards also he's on his way to a double-double 20 point lead after three and we start the fourth quarter here Beverly one quarter away from advancing to the tournament final against mask oh good job I came hour to get away from Kenan morlun loses it though a lot of Bounce goes to the Crusaders Pig known now mid-range Jay no good rebound Kamara tomorrow's played very well in the absence of Ronnie then a real life run knew early in the season when he was getting his minutes in the rotation he was turning the ball over a little bit but he seems to be a lot more sure because she gets that shot there as you see did you speak he's a lot more confidence while or crisp totally agree he was a little tentative I thought starting off the season he played jeebies I he's a big step up the knife I said once he gets comfortable he's gonna be ok big dome another to pick gnomes got 14 now Davies looking for Moreland he had an open shot he'll drive nice power dribble in for two woman he's got [Music] big known for three short rebound Moreland that was business Lee now 22 terrain looking for Davies poked away by Bauer's right idea but him the rain stole that one nice move on the sideline to keep it in we might get a foul though we're actually gonna get a timeout oh no we're not no I'm wrong about both ball falling out of bounds off end what that's always calm they'll be ball don't listen to me folks 25 seconds a goal on the shot clock look at Mall and work on his thing underneath low sure with the board drops it down to Pig no it's team down 22 thunder six and a half fell six and a half left to play in the fourth ring to jump in I will say the bad move now you're up what 22 now dreams got four fouls won't give me what you got exactly give someone else ends that one off the backboard quickly up to Abreu he throws it down just got him Ryu with no regard for human life career night for him 26 in the emphatic throwdown wow that was a poster Iser Keenan put it in for two on the other end but I'm still fired up from Abreu Moreland scored that one too it's going coming I'm sweating holy cow 18 points for Moreland as well we're gonna get a foul on come here and I gotta stand up for that one this one brought the roof off so you had Keenan on that last to play advisees whose team Dayton okay Wow okay twenty four point lead now for belly still coming down from that high I thought that last time that Toscani Kent dunk I seen him dunk email during the fall down here and you know what King yep he 3.0 he's got seven in this half don't lurk anyway Davey lays it in nice pass five and a half left to go in the fourth quarter in what is seletun the season I think we're seeing Beverly's best offensive game I pray you again again and he came down hard he gets up quick though to rein another steal two Scotties he gonna do it again he does it but it falls the N one - Scotty Abreu career night for him a dunk a Duncan and an one in this place is going crazy [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Wow he has really stepped it up tonight have yourself a night young fella well by the way I think Toscani has earned three Tommy points in the last 30 seconds he's got 30 points and I eat Tommy Awards Wow Toscani Abreu 30 points two dunks that second one scared me he came down hard i watch that yeah right that's his third basket in a row he's got 30 tonight Wow we're gonna have to cut this exactly 30 this sequence Robert I know you can hear me what cutting this sequence up staying late in the office we're sending this package to SportsCenter he did he's gonna so that's the fourth on someone absolutely and who's that following you I did not I was too busy screaming they didn't put it up for the old play get the MVP chant from the Beverly section can't complete the three-point play down in most free-throw Street you vote for one stays with the Crusaders with mr.

mckormick enters before Abreu he's gonna get a standing ovation from the crowd and on us up here - he's getting it from us - that's a nice job that's a nice out of there before you throw it - exactly before he hurts someone else the man possessed Fritz can't connect rebound Davies he's gonna slow it down all right Beverly Sally's up 27 what started off with a low-slung long game that was just 7 1 points with a good chance to get any they got 73 now is that probably that was Moreland putback he's got 20 go along with 9 boards terrain good job on the boards tonight grabs that one ball nice Davies good position Beverly's equal well they're gonna call it off and good one gonna come in for Moreland this lead is shot up to 29 points I like what cabooses doing here get this subs and give the kids some playing time pick no one off the mark rebound Crowley [Applause] Goodwin 3 yes he hit it the Beverley bench goes crazy see Clark March Jen with the archer he's gonna enter it on : John Goodwin with the 3 no talk about Marshawn of the bench all to bow and arrow Oh out a shot what did he Keenan can't hit last touch by Bentley think they might have missed that call Luigi's is done for the night nice job yeah give him a little rest you gotta come back tomorrow night against a tough mastodonic team they do but coming off of this win the confidence that this team has has to be through the roof so we get Johnny going out there with Jared McCormack clock mosh in Daviess and crawled McCormick finds good one in the corner chopped down to Marshawn for two marshawn's first points of the night low share the freshman out to pig known uses a pic slows it down drops it down when you grab my bevel you can fall you're trying to get it down low to McGrath Crowley's Knights done he finishes a point Davies he's done for the night we got Cahill coming to know Cahill in the ball game tonight Crowley's and Knights done he finishes with nine and ten a point shy of a double-double Davey said seven points hit Rome Mowgli Masha and the rebound Kamara trying to get five pick known did he get a pass half-court he does he'll slow it down to 42 left Cahill look for your shot they even buddy washing go to a three three just off the mark the whole bench is up for John Goodwin not senior who wasn't seen much action all yeah great kid no Marshawn gonna be called for the foul on Fritz [Music] 2:22 ago in the game here bellies up 34 points fritz driving block called on good way well that's gonna be the bonus for fun like thinking we shooting 101 you get friction 101 here Chris was up and good 7845 Beverly already looking forward to tomorrow night's matchup against mask oh that's gonna be at 7:15 I believe here at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse team they haven't seen this season nice drop down the good way quite good one get Ravel as you recall for yep I did dance with the feet too old five to go in the ball game 78 46 bellies up 32 here's anyone seen you follow Bentley just going to zone now here Alex just of 2-3 zone both teams with subs in pig known still in there though for Fenwick drops it down the graph couldn't handle it McGrath only a sophomore Goodwin in the corner I mentioned earlier one thing John John's a always has been of an excellent three-point shooter you mentioned that a few weeks ago actually yeah he gets his feet under me excellent point cheetah good shoot appeal you my mom that's a nice pitch okay go nice gesture good wind gets it to go what a play wow what a move and what a dish by Kamara too beautiful behind the back pass 1:25 to go bellies up 82 46 good ones gonna get the old-fashioned three-point play can't make it all right now Kamara only with four points on the board for him but he's done so much this game a nice all-round ballgame by Kyle deep free from Pig No got it wow that was easy for him surprise Antonio we just haven't played yet 103 to go Beverly's lead up to 31 80 49 biggest leaders it was 34 36 at one time [Music] big no the graph out to Whedon oh my grass this is Danny McGrath his father played baseball for me graduating seven he gets the offensive board trying to put it up again blocked by Cahill I'm gonna get a foul either on Cahill or Goodwin that she's gonna be Marshall unofficial Isis for us seventh on the team 101 fraud Danny McGrath Janie McGrath you dad was a heck of a ballplayer tough third baseman last one nothing good he was fifty graphic in a second rocks that down [Applause] 51 41 seconds McCormick's terribly just using the clock here great offensive game and I think I said it earlier this might be Beverly's best offensive game it was exciting he was they were efficient McCormick for three Marshawn with a putback couldn't get it to go it was exciting efficient they didn't turn the ball over much they got the job done and Beverley takes this one the final score 82 53 they advance to the championship game in the Larry McIntyre classic they play Masco tomorrow night at 7:15 Tom and I will be here tomorrow we can't say enough about Toscani a brave 30 points he had six points in the first in second quarters follow that up with 12 in the third and then he had six in the fourth in those plays in secession he dunked on a crusader got the ball right back another throw down got the ball right back got fouled and made the shot one quick question who's the MVP tell Scotty Abreu no question about it never would have figured on him yeah we definitely he gets the Tommy you are tonight hands down a nice game is a great game for him during the fall you know I worked on the kids come down and play and we work with them let employees and stuff Mike gave Toscani a gold at the beginning the year since I want you your goal is to beat all League yeah he should go next year after acid so he's he's finishing strong I tell you and he might have a good shot at Ollie but if not you know he's got next year he's only a junior and he works hard all these kids though they're young you know loudly they're gonna be a tough team next year in the girls - yeah nosy young so Beverly basketball fans for both the boys and good you got a lot to look forward to for that next couple of years yeah 30 points from Abreu and you Duncan Moreland a sophomore he added 20 points and 9 boards Crowley 9 points 10 boards a great all-around game from all of the Panthers Davies 7 points off the bench you saw Goodwin with some big threes there down the stretch as well good to see everybody get in I think just you know just about anybody school it tonight to think so Kyle Kamara as well in his start usually comes off the bench has to start for the second game in a row ignore the injured man Ronnie had only had four points but he played so well defensively all wrong games in life job he passed and rebounded played excellent defense kept his hands very active so there's a nice one for Beverley and we're gonna probably wrap it up Alex and we'll be back tomorrow night for the we'll be back for the championship game will also be here for the consolation game for the girls as they take on Gloucester so for Tom Donovan for Robert Doakes our producer our camera operators mark layman and Matt pooja we thank all of our viewers as well on YouTube and on channel 22 and you'll see us tomorrow these these pretty faces and we're still going to be insert and I like your tie by the way very springy this is one of my all cons people reading my alcohol still going here the sharpest broadcast team in the North Shore we'll see you tomorrow [Music] you

[Music] hello and welcome to the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse the scene is set for the championship tonight in the Larry McIntyre classic Alex leuco alongside Tom Donovan and we're going to have an electric game here tonight as Beverly hosts mask Oh what are you looking for tonight from this Panther team after what you saw last night I don't want to see triple overtime oh you got to get up early this could be a long night to balance teams this should be a real barnburner we had a great game on the championship game for the girls yes just ended about 10 15 minutes ago the bishop alma girls beat the masked dominoes by one point 33 32 and you said it was low scoring in the third quarter 21 21 1/2 times so the only five points go in the third quarter and early I understand the Bella girls beat the Gloucester girls yes - deep down the consolation game and the Gloucester boys beat the fish acremant poison their consolation this is a really really big game for both teams because they're both of division - not if belly should win this finish at 15 and 5 and mask innominate will finish at 15 and 5 we already have Belmont with five losses they're playing a very good Saint Mary's teams we get away don't come of that islands and watched this 15 today yep in a great game they lost the BC High so we could have a three-way tie a four-way tie if mask anomic wins and Belmont music they're gonna get the number one seat yeah they'd be the only team with four losses because Alton lost their fifth so that's you know looking at the standings there and you said it we could have a tie of Beverly beats mascot tonight Nubia 1505 as well as mask o Arlington I believe that is updated that is their fifth loss and then you have Belmont already with five losses we forgot about a team I'm looking at not the end of a not end of a only has five losses I don't they've done with 18 games unless they played last night we didn't get a score but if if the play in 20 games which they probably are they probably still have two more games remaining they're gonna if they went out this finish at 15 so we could see a five-way time we were talking about it earlier if that happens it's old school all the names go into a hat look at what a way to pick seeds one through five but you know what either way you know you look at some of the teams and that division to lock that down the bottom yep and you've got three very good teams in Northeast Conference remodel head yep you could Gloucester and you get Salem oh and we were talking about this before there's a scenario where Beverley could get the number one seed if their names picked out of that hat if they win and obviously things go their way they end up with the number one seed Tewksbury plays Malden Catholic and if Tewksbury beats multi Catholic Beverly with the number one seed and their first game of the tournament well player Tewksbury team that beat them this year that would be excited I like to see that because she get six player here on your home court when you only scored about 38 points to probably the worst game that we play but I was there that game you got it all the pen tool of the Tewksbury big defense and a lot to do with that that my belly was cold when asked Aramis I mean excuse me cooks lady friends have a lot to do with that they played outstanding defense they look to me like a lot of football players that an athlete is just go after get after yep now tonight will we see Toscani Abreu the way we saw him last night he had 30 points he was electric as he could ever be in that game last 30 point six three-pointers I think the big key to tonight two Biggie's Beverly has got to stay out of foul trouble we're only really playing six kids so they got to stay out of foul trouble the other big key I think is fatigue because the only point six kids there the only place six last night for the majority of the game fatigue could be a fact that coming on this play so that's that's another big thing in this mascot team looking at them warm-up they have some size to them you know belly is undermined they've been on with the size difference they've more than helped me alone but even English belly did okay with the boys it was anxious press that really just W in over there over the wing so this should be a real bond going on another great game with it she's a great matchup pack house - another great crowd great for the atmosphere it's always great because then they're loud and we have to be louder and that's when we do our best if you missed last night's game Toscani had the bring who had to fast break dunk snot of what I'm thinking I believe you went over ya know a feminine defendant oh yes tomahawk bang really you know I was sweating for the rest of that it was about there was about forty to fifty seconds later about home sessions in between but then immediately after that second thunk you stole it terrain sword at half-court gotten us when we almost went for a third it was fouled but waited that is why yes yes now we look at this on the foot now you got a little almost like a little Biblia mascot my guess is that might be Coast carico versus low daughter she's out there the the group of the public even like them out mask Oh starters we have sharks rudra wicks gemma Warshofsky in a hunter the third oh you know who that is what compelling that's little Aki so Silva's kid yeah you go that's Jason's 94/95 team [Applause] he's got three great kids starters for the Panthers with the absence of rotting again you have camara starting at the point guard position then you have two Scotty Brady with the thirty points last night senior captain in terrain you also have Crowley out there as well as Duncan Moreland Moreland added twenty points to his name last night to help Beverly get that win we're going to stand for the national anthem [Music] we're ready to get this one underway I can tell you I'm standing for this whole game I'm all my Bloods flowing I'm ready now I see they picked two MVPs for the game that was just plain masking on it and we noticed the freshman the freshman from mask innominate Morgan Parvati yep was the play of the game she just happens to be Larry McIntyre his granddaughter okay she gave me up she hit two back-to-back three-pointers huge shot the ball like the spices of things she's only a freshman she's gonna be good one no surprise she's got the basketball and we were talking about it off camera to the staff that Masco has adding John Fortunato as an assistant coaching Cara log Levitch unbelievable mother of a saga lavish played for the Beverly High School teams got a couple of witnesses in there if what impact I can't even get over John Fortunato as an assistant coach that's still got my mind that's what you're doing you retire you come back the head coach take all the parent calls abreu trying to start where he left off he'll shoot two from the line put far right away leave fouls gonna go on booter wits his first team's first now let's hope they put the fouls up there they get it up not yet bring you knocks down the first [Applause] knocks them both down to a quick point to the Panthers seven seconds in okay belly started lost momentum in Jaques dibujo it's no surprise that stop the man and man in a way because the you know trying to stay out of foul trouble early in the game but just see how it goes through drewett's for three got it to go with the rain in his mug huge riches right there you got a freshly change already that's going on but also playing me in the man Alex Toscani going through the hoop strong putback woman Moreland how many of those he had lesson he had quite a few of those he's Johnny lot last night in the corner guarded by Kamara trying to go up and under kicks it back out of jocks follow a shot gets it to go each team two possessions each both coming away with points Moreland spot up three good shot leave that's gonna stay at wall I thought it was to Crowley last to touch it chieftains come the other way now [Applause] Buju 'it's to Warshofsky hunter the third in the corner scheme' the defense plays Bentley jacque's taking the rain off the dribble we're gonna get a foul on the floor it's gonna go against long G his first the tea first we've seen with them foul balls go be big coming down the stretch tonight Alex to belly goes to the 2-3 zone out of bounds Buju it's for three can't knock that one down offensive board if you're gonna throw it back out and reset it new shot clock deep three shenna no good Moreland coming away with that one they have to battle hunter the third up at one one little orb jump shots no good hunters gone looking a run they got numbers three from shenna couldn't get it to go Moreland coming the other way now he's got Buju it's on his tail he slows up Abreu Kamara corner it's Crowley take a small jumper gets it to go friendly roll Abreu with the assist Crowley knocked it down for to ward Moreland it's gonna push it I try to take it all the way past jocks he'll be fouled he'll shoot to Bosnia jinx I believe literally leading six five five twenty four left to play in this first quarter Lola knocks that one down [Applause] Debbie's a quick 3 for 3 from the line 7 5 Beverly second one is up 3 minute woofle off the line third always good start with them Alex 8 5 Beverly 5:19 we go in the ballgame he's just joining us will you bet jinx great finds that was Jenna nice backdoor cut by Jake's come by with the ball settling things old Luigi's being held on that cut through finds Moreland 1 Kamara step back thought about a shot slow it down he finds Toscani step back jumper good shot gonna be Beverly ball should be ball yep what for Crowley and is all the bombs play here he comes Oh Mars gotta get it out to rain for three off the mark come out of the put back no one there nice job he seemed a little surprise to you that no one was there look what I found this three tap W little run terrain Amazon I don't know water I'll pray you for three feeling it no good or shops key with the board getting good shots ten seven Beverly Jake's to the corner it's Jenna finds hunter good hunt these a big kid huh all nice loose ball good hustle by Beverly EE getting on the floor coming up with it terrain around moorland guarded by Jake's free-throw line gets to go nice touch as soon he gets the shooters roll he's got six quickly six of the Beverly 12 half points in the first quarter jinx looking the drive nice layup Jake's has six himself six result good defense there by Jake's a brain he was looking for more substitution is Danny Monaco will enter it's also the quarterback on the mask Oh football team good defense my workshops the good defense good defense will go good defense rather than a bad pass monocle in the lane couldn't get it to go rebound Crowley they probably might got away with 1/3 from terrain yes strainin it's good seeing Luigi hit one early so both teams have a 3.0 3:13 to go in the first quarter 59 WS and six-point lead motion offense Warshofsky guarded by more when he forces some baseline stolen by Kamara Beverly looking to run he'll hold it the rain 3 we'd you wanted that one shenna looking for hunter he'll drive instead use the pick seems like Kamara deflected that Crowley up to Abreu and you knew you were gonna see a slam there that pass what he was on the floor he had time to catch maybe one foot Google Lane in Davies enters for Crowley gives him a blow what's this early out because they don't really take the ugly too nice fine warlin he's got eight three assists from Toscani early on in eight points from Moreland of three from Shawna he was open off the mark rebound monocle but he loses it out of Marilyn all 17 nine lead for the Panthers in there picking off right whether ended up last night they scored 80 points last night William Hunter's sophomore the only underclassmen on the roster come on we're gonna go to Moreland he's against monocle yeah Holloway he gets it to go dirk nowitzki ask he's got ten in the first quarter wall I'm having tonight and they're gonna look to feed the hot hands [Music] so the kids you're gonna play how with your back to the basket engine sometimes you're gonna mismatch I had a God 510 but he's built like a fire hydrant and we used to get mismatches with him out of bounds plays Keith Mapuche the pooch 97 captain hunter finds monocle down low gonna get a travel maybe we do who's Nick Mangino and VHS fan squad letting them know you can't do that you get the penalty crowd tonight they get them all set it was scattered last night there in force tonight Moreland spin couldn't get it to fall but he's 2 for 2 from the line tonight we'll see how he can do Crowley gonna enter the game now foul is on monocle monocles first dirt on the team Moreland look at the total got 11 quick ones the rain will get a break so Beverly going with a big lineup you have Crowley and Davies out there with Moreland and Kamara all right yeah yeah Moreland misses his first free throws for the night for Jake's fines hunter sent away by Crowley get that weak stuff out of here boy nice Bluff like jack he let him he ran after to gave him the stare down definitely looks like that would stand me and I'm in on this out of bombs hunter trying to spin on Crowley he gets by him i schooled by the hunter - that's Dave hunter hunter the third yeah they got a wingman three Toscani yawol five for discounting with three assists already hunter gonna try to answer it kicks it out to monocle he could have been called for a travel he wasn't mid-range Jay from Hunter couldn't get it to go Crowley ends up with it this guy's got seven cousins get the three a whooping ethos I might have missed one he was a while after earlier that if he had that oh he had the two free-throws no he did not have the hoop I don't know I'm not wasn't sure where you're asking me I thought it was just the free-throws nope 2311 shot clock turned off Beverley lead 15 seconds left in this frame we're gonna use a pick from Crowley drops it off the Davies open three couldn't get it to go Crowley couldn't come up with it boo Jay wicks does Jake's is gonna have to Eve it don't foul hunter at the buzzer at the end of one the Panthers take a 23:11 lead and it was close at the beginning Jake's was doing his thing how many who steal that wall and fall hoops I've got him for four Duran had the three Crowley at a hoop in Kamara oh okay so I'm getting that too so a blue do not have a two-point no okay okay so real quick shout out real quick okay do my good buddies out there Debbie Miller and Stacy Pelletier look at the old-timers out there watching Danny marriages George misses Jeff the miry my pal Johnny P Danny Ferraro I see Tyler vortex in the house tonight with the starters Sloan you see the little silver boys and show Jason dads in the house also like Lord of the reglas here Frank 40 in the boys evil Wilson Jeff Dean which he lends we keep forest Kiwi Cowboys huge crowd quick shout out Adam Burt Marlon pitter partners in crime they're watching a name's Barry and in Connecticut thank you for that technology and shout out there to mama bear cooked a great dinner tonight boy some nice pan-fried chicken made me happy nice she knows the key to my heart started to Beverly 2311 lead generally called the defensive yeah monocle driving mid-range jumper and wonderful anyone think that was on to rain we'll see it's gonna be on Davis oh it's greedy bees first foul one of the second on the team with me that ten monocle and missed the free throw terrain with the board quickly gets it up to Toscani deep three yes he can't stop him can only hope to contain him folks he's gonna go off 26:13 that we double still lead George oh it's nice - he's got five Davies using the pick from Kamara step-back finds Kamara open free nice oh good look good look Crowley with the offensive board on Crowley nice left hand nice left hand by Crowley gonna nice left nice lefty in the Alps he does I have I had to quit basketball when I got the high school like he didn't have a left breeze made from Jake's got the shooters roll he's got nine [Applause] Masco cutting it to a 10-point game get a foul on monocle that's - it's also the fourth foul on the team do this up coming in dump him though he's gonna come back in he's gonna get Davies a little blow any job good job by my Philly man terrain wide open in the corner for three elects to toss it back a little gray you when we got a tip from a Masco defender no maskel ball nope Beverly ball I don't think they know we'll take it though six and a half minutes ago Joey's up 10th ray you know heat check couldn't get that when the fall foul on hundreds of third that's his first fifth team foul against the Chieftains Beverly only with two thus far again those files could be treated coming down the stretch [Music] Kamara Moreland got the easy to Moreland dad into his totals he's got 13 now Kamara with the assist Kamara second assist of the night that was Moreland and he got a carry whose brood ruit's that was up 12 everything going right for the Panthers right now the rain three that's the look on the run Shanna hates Polly it's gonna go on Crowley to recall his first there on the team [Music] two free-throws from ASCO coming up [Applause] Shanna couldn't get that one to go he struggled tonight missed a couple threes as well this mask ROM its first free throw for the night Ellis second was good [Applause] 5:53 the goal in the first quarter terrain floater in the lane no good Crowley coming away with it nice pass not even one passed too many look at that we keep the ball alive here Kamara opening three he's got it straight cash on me I'll tell you this kid is playing and it couldn't come in a battle time look out next year driving as shenna kills it out belly's being very after what their hands deflection there Jake's three we bound Crowley Beverly live on the run they push it ahead to Moreland more loose in the corner nice spin move loses it it's a bat a pray yo ray who no good Jake's coming the other way it was poked by crowd Jenna hairballs Oh rebound morally coming the other way it's come out rough in stride he's a timeout they call one we got one [Applause] timeout basket on it 35:19 like you just said the Panthers are erupting offensive outburst Kamara huge there Toscani great pass that's his fourth assist already tonight and you talked about you thought belly's best off of the game was last night I think we're seeing it right now but I'd love to see him talk that that's a good style 35 points already I'll tell you belly's doing a good job give him a stern honor one shot and in there they've got a ton of offensive rebounds so there again they're more than holding their own in only with the six kids that they plan tonight you know for the most part they'll look in the run look I'm running do not use the clock dollies and I think that's a credit to coach catalyst and his coaches reason he's intense right now you just saw him big great shape you could hear what Kara Kudus just said we haven't even gone on a run yet but listen they haven't even played their best basketball yet he's saying we'll put the coaches the way he plays all high-top and again I can't stand up with the coaching staff coach Jeff Donnelly and terrific ex an old man okay Adam Russo coaching the JV team there's a nice job Warshofsky to Shanna thinking about a three just air-balled one Jake's will take one got that one to go Jake says he's been there he's got 12 that's his second three Morlan leaves down to 13 the rain trying to drop it down to Moreland he gets it there Moreland it gotta be called for a travel travel I think wallow on the jump shot you get up me and he realize that he's one to get that Wilson wanted for him all right 420 to go in the half belly's up 13 he's doing them in Warshofsky deflected and rally coming away with it but he'll lose it good hustle play by hunter and the entire Masco team to get ahold of that one goodra wicks nails it right in New Orleans basically that's a three goodra wicks has eight all right they've got it down to 10 now Beverly's biggest lead was 16 right yeah so they're on the six nothing run right now with back-to-back threes Warshofsky this case faster more I'll tell you this is it's gonna be a bomb bonus though I think hunter finger-roll gonna get as well Riley's playing great defense he's got six moths and he's often the shots he's making them on little ball low hyah he's got six boards tonight to add to that defense looking for crawling underneath now piling on the drive you're gonna take hunter your opposite to de rain but he loses it tomorrow's gonna be called for it alright it's gonna be coughs first foul fourth on the team so belly's got 14 fouls mask alarms good fine was gonna get it quick hello sure des and monocle entering the game from mask Oh Jake's it's in the corner shirt uh couldn't get it to go a little bit big for master llama three three three zero Davey's grabbing the board look Wally call the hook I think just got he knew it too cuz he ran right back whoa that's nice Connie you know a lot of you see a lot of you real good off the plays use that hook yep you know maybe that's why I never developed into what I should have been quick fouls on Toscani they're gonna have have to think about sitting them now there's three quick fouls by this Beverly defense 16 foul in this half Moreland's gonna go grab to Scottie and that's a shame Toscani was feeling that he had eight points with four assists so we get Jake shootin two with the line mass Colby in the bonus next fall Jake spooks the first [Applause] he's got 13 to lead all scorers tonight he's actually time with Moreland at that number except the street Joe is up and in he's picked the tubes on the line [Applause] tomorrow calling eaten up and running here Alex Lee was 16 that's down to 8 Crowley follow away an airball Beverly's sort of I want to say unraveling but they're not that same comfort zone that they were masks anomalous playing a lot lot tough of defense that was really had to work hard to get a really good look they haven't had a really good looks at Jakes cache that nothing run and Jake's has ten in this quarter alone 16 in the first half please Donnell 610 nothing run by Maskull on the game here Moreland to reign over the back off that's his second 17 foul mask Oh at 1 and 1 now should be 101 all right you got 140 140 the goal in the half they'll be 16.9 Donnell 6 on the 10th up and run the chance to make an 11 or 12 point Buju it's off the mark and Beverly can't come away with that board trickled all the way back out monocle good pass to Jake's foul by de rain and he gets it to go and not only is that a possible four-point play but Luigi terrain has three fouls [Applause] Jake's has 13 in this quarter looking to make it 14 and cut this Beverly lead down to only two huge run from ASCO right now [Applause] 35 32 123 to go hunter hunter checks in for sure de four-point plays can we lead in 14-nothing run Jake's already has 20 in the first half Kamara almost losing it gets it to Crowley seatbelt lease a little trouble here getting a good get a good look basketball is really really tight up his defense Davey's thinking about a step back gets it out to Moreland using his muscle gets it in there Moreland's having a great night tonight the long 15 already bhiku barely up for offensive foul nice job by David Stefan Tommy point to justify its on 11 her Jewett's second six on the teeth so belly energy forty seven point two seconds Beverly nurse on the four point lead with the ball John Goodwin is now in the game Alex he came in for de rain sat down with three Abreu also on the bench with to begin we taught them all the key in the game tonight be in the foul trouble tomorrow down to Moreland he's got the hot hand Goodwin Crowley thinking about a three he can hit that one's gonna look sweet shot because Ethan shoot more than three can't get the Paul Pierce bounced foul on Davies just go safe to vote foul that's his second - Beverly players with 2-1 with three Jarek kudus might have to empty his bench he's gonna throw out Marshawn falling phones could be a problem coming Bentley's undoing because they got three kids with a little loopy the three just got him Davies both with two he's got a ticket low moshing is gonna come in twenty two point six seconds we got monocle can't hit that first of the one-on-one come the vanilla gorilla alright we look for one don't wheeze up for trying to get up to six or seven [Applause] Kamara Marcia Crowley got it Crowley's got to touch he's got six in the first half Jake skate get it off in time so after a big run from ASCO at the end of that second quarter Beverley takes a 39 33 lead into the half their largest lead was about 16 points I believe we had them at at one point in that first half and a 16 point lead that's whittled down to six 39 33 well like I said this game is far from over don't we got to stay out of foul trouble stick around here yeah toast Connie he was feeling it early hit eight points and four says he had to sit Moreland though doing a great job fifteen points and five boards in that first half and you mentioned to belly looks like they were struggling for the you get a good shot you know when they came out that time our mascot was really picked on the classroom defense and they really were feeding the ball to Jake's he had believed 16 should be 14 points in that second quarter alone he's already got 20 in the first half so he's the key Larry McIntyre classic we'll be back in a few moments or a few minutes to go over more analysis in the first half and look forward to a great second half of basketball you are watching Bev cam here anyone can come to the studio to make their own local TV show contact us with your idea we'll help it how can they understand I don't need this no one's going to judge you suddenly everything was turned around because they insist that I just try all it took was someone who would just listen [Music] everything starts out small the things that hurt us they all start from somewhere the words we say the things we do that can grow into something else what was small and innocent can become big and sometimes scary all it takes is one comment one picture one video for something to catch fire but a big problem doesn't need a big response not at first even if we don't know what to say the eye emoji can be that first step we take let's all pledge to take that first small step together and change the world in a big way I'm a witness and so are you you creativity is putting your imagination to work and it's produced the most extraordinary results in human culture [Music] dreams come from inspiration inspiration comes from an idea and ideas come from creativity we believe in raising up a new generation of creative minds and it all starts with you helped sponsor the award-winning Beverly High School immunity program so the students can have the resources they need to make dreams happen you [Music] and we're back Alex Luke Oh Tom Donovan a great first half 39 33 Beverly lead over the mask oh and Beverly had a huge I won't say huge about 16 point lead in that first half at dwindled down huge run from the Chieftains what do you think Beverly needs to do to get back into playing the basketball they were playing in that first quarter well I think the big difference the last five minutes was mask on that came out of that timeout when they were they call that when they were down 16 and it came back out they played just really put the clamp down on defense they seemed to me like they was sag and everything inside because Beverly had a loss success early in the game driving and getting inside the paint getting second shot I think master Rama's defense was the difference the last five minutes or so so I think belly needs to continue to run and try and beat master on the down court and get that quick shot before a mascot as a chance to settle down and get back into the defense in Beverly's foul trouble could end up being a huge factor drain has three he's out there to start the second half Abreu also with two he's out there start second half and Davies on the bench right now he else was too yes so that's gonna be huge we talked about the early I thought two keys was staying out of foul trouble and fatigue the fatigue doesn't look too bad right now we'll see how close just half but Beverly Luigi's gonna stop Luigi's got three fouls I'm curious to see if they're gonna play his own just try and stay on the foul trouble Beverly to start with the ball of his half okay here we go are you looking for ground yes it did rain table all it's a tough shot I really took the 34 then take that shot Jenna he's bricks today from free about all for six during hesitation moved to the racks right oh good very big to come on get that first route get up to eight so let me pray you take the yeah I thought if the kids don't weep most people don't leak though Jew it's three in the corner no good the rain trying to come up with the board he does the rains been huge ahora nice job by Luigi pushes ahead to Malin long a little sauce jump shot no good read mom that's gone on it here they come Jake's with the ball looking to push it Jenna Beverly and me enemy in defense Warshofsky mid-range cash his first points tonight Kamara setting things up Abreu corner to rain tomorrow good zone here from Moscow right now both teams have exchanged baskets Toscani big three no good air ball and call it out of bounds Beverly holding on to a six-point lead six 27 left in the third quarter buzzer wix2 shenna Warshofsky thinking about another shot back to Jake's he's got 20 in the first half three from war shops he's actually a two offensive board budgets and the putback no good rebound crowd I'm not filing because he was so fond of basket I don't think gonna make it like I'm glad they didn't let him off the hook life on the rain couldn't get the role Western Rockies wasn't that shot a little bit budgets Jake's trying to add to that point total puts a spin move on Crowley up and under for to pick up where he left off he's gonna get his points leads down the floor 41:37 will come up to the five and a half minute nine tomorrow they always gave me Catholic loan to the hoop now to really try not to get off the foul well he might've been off his leg that's a good foul that's a good call cause nothing I you he knows it you're right I'm not going to argue on that one I'll save 4137 cut up to the five-minute mark and the third quarter here five ten and Counting warshofsky shenna he's ice cold ten seconds on the shot clock three Warshofsky yes no points in the first half but he's get five here in the third it's a one-point game kara crudest wants him to slow things down Morland terrain three gonna get it to go but Crowley's in there for the board kicks it back out probably already with eight boards tonight this guy and he couldn't connect I like coming the other way and legs he's playing with tie and legs right now when you get for Duncan twice in a row yeah Jake's is fouled I think it's on Crowley with me folk too it's to mass goes a chance to take the lead with Jake's at the line he's three for three the stripe tonight so Crowley's got two now first on the team Jake's to prepare these kids automatic at the line of C's [Applause] he's fullfil falls in the line now it's got it he's got 24 in masses Vasco's got the lead totally the third lead change in this game they've got 41 41 available the 42 41 so in fact one of the kids of the bench is telling the coach yeah they just corrected it probably Crowley the nice soft touch gets the lead way back eight points for him that's a that's what they believe change I think they're going to I have a number travel first year problem all right that was up one for one to go in the Florida don't let go you gotta get the crowd into this - well if they do they need a nice little run he'll terrain contested three no good Moreland trying to come down with it but hunter outmuscles them [Applause] Warshofsky good touch he's got a nice shot which his kid Ben I know he's got seven this quarter maskull takes the lead again Moreland driving floater cash coupon rolling another League change so far we've got five I've got five at least Oh five okay it's on Moreland only is first well if it's gonna be anybody think that's probably better off being a Marlin budgets looking to put his team up they can't do it he's over two at the line tonight yeah probably getting a breather Davies in his place Davies yet to score tonight but he's grabbed a few boards [Applause] and we're tied here we go timeout timeout called by the Panthers were tied at 45 a piece with 308 left to go in the third in this game has been as advertised Tom doesn't look like it's gonna get any less interesting while both teams have used the timeout so both teams I believe he'll have 4/10 time off the piece which could be another key coming down stretch heir to the coolest he's done a great job in his first year as head coach the Panthers he hasn't he beyond the good job getting the most out of these kids he's got a short bench down the stretch but these kids are playing their best basketball when it counts well you know they've they've won four games and rolling down the heat so be nice this would be nice one for them if they could go into the turn doing it all without Matt rotting and you've got to think if he comes back for that tournament run after that injury if he can be rated Waddy but he's not like the glue look he said running on that you know it's gonna take a little pressure off the other guys ball a little bit more so get Davies in there now for Crowley like you mentioned earlier dummies ball tie ballgame here we go tomorrow three left in the third Moreland Billy using some picks it's Davies now guarded by hunter Kamara three off the mark Davey's trying to track it down he can't hunter comes away with it budgets pushes it up at Jenna Jake's was calling for it he couldn't get it to him quick enough though warlin almost anticipated a nice deal there Jenna thinking twice about shooting out Davies it's a bit of a late call to get call ball his his third growls back in all this so Kyle he's forced to come right back in belly goes to a zone now two-three zone tie ballgame two and half minutes ago Jake Jake's can't miss he's got 26 but if you wanna lemon I already call who the MVP is gonna be something at least risking Crowley Moreland Beverly's trailing big gonna get a whistle than a warning delay a game Bebel you up by one another leave change definitely with the press now two elves switching things up a bit yeah yeah I like that good defense by Lee finds a pray you carry only crowds don't like it you could see that one like he was cradle on a baby definitely two-to-one precio monocle great play to save him all right okay just give me the second time oh yeah it was kind of forced to take that time on Alice you know in a game like to see you want to try and save as many timeouts as you can coming down the stretch don't want to pull in and you read no check your pocket you got none left so we're gonna check the standings one more time when we have some time here during this time out go through some of these playoff teams Beverly like defending champs Brighton I believe from last year division two and they also were the only team to beat Everett this year and they play that very tough boss acidity so that lemon six wreck is a little deceiving - I think can be very very perky can you see Malden Catholic down there Tewksbury can qualify for the tournament with another wing this might be one of the strongest Division two loss I've seen in a long time I'll tell you take a look at those teams it's really no weak spot that Salem team at nine and nine there no choke no Beverly 48 mask Oh 47 141 left in the third from ASCO spend the Colby Jake show he's got 26 those in his own apply trying to stay out of foul trouble they don't like the play zone look Jenna that's his second air ball tonight well I was coach that advised him to just stop shooting altogether he's old for seven from the field take a charge and one Oh Bolin's got 19 trying to make it 20 he had 20 last night a big hoop little early to be thinking about this but it's either gonna be toast Connie or it's gonna be more like yeah and he had a double-double last night did what he had 20 points 10 boards can't go on we can't get the bounce card so Bentley's up three with 1:18 ago in third quarter don't we back into the press going back through the zone she hates it grounds to try and stay out a foul called on like the play zone play necessary play especially pray you noise takes by all can't finish Toscani tried to save it out of bounded also 54 left to go ee up three Belu the press oh boy it's his fourth that's his fourth what a way to get your fourth foul if you're drained we fought them the team his fourth Davey's gonna come it's not a good feeling when you gotta send someone to the bench with four fouls in you replace him with a guy who has three [Applause] Masco definitely knows we're gonna try to take advantage of that three from shenna finally hits one about time big boy whistle down the other end had seven lead changes and two ties in this game well as long as it stays close together keep Luigi as long as you can you got to come with them halfway through before long the stays closed that's what you gotta come with back with him no no morrow Jake's is getting to talk to from the ref I'm not sure why BHS fan squad yelling in his ear to love to know what that was about oh nice out of bounds play TVs finally on the board huge moment is for us to live up to 30 seconds kids nice ball handling shut up to Jake's with contact it's hunter Shanna another three good he's been brick city tonight he made one Holly a pray you spin move he's got Moreland he's gonna slow it though Kimora thinking about a three eight seconds on the clock Beverly gonna hold for the last shot five seconds now step back three Abreu just off the mark try to get a little flashy with a better shot than out beginning I broke up with you eight seconds you've gotta go so Beverly leading fifty to fifty very close game coming down the stretch here like we said earlier we got a bond burner going here Beverly a lot of spread out scoring here you have seven from Kimora eight from three different guys that's terrain Abreu and Crowley and then Moreland leading the scores with 19 very balanced yeah kid Jake's is lighting up for masculine omelet he's got 26 only up to 3/4 nine points for bud ruit's you've got four from shenna he at that three in this quarter in the warshofsky blue up for seven points early in the third we haven't heard anything from him since but he had seven quick points from ASCO to spark a nice run well NASCO outscored Dudley 17 to 13 that quarter [Music] after that first corner Beverly belts corneum 23 to 11 but since then Masco his outscored them 39 to 29 whoa here we go eight minutes ago strings starting this one on the bench Oh tomorrow great athletic play drops it down probably easy to Crowley's got no problem alright need a little run here to get the crowd into it get him up it's easily my favorite chant in sports you can't do that so University can do it in any sport [Applause] Crowley comes up sets the high pick just got a nice left hand past the mauling wall and look on the drive back out tomorrow step-back three just off the mark he has seven with three assists I don't don't we cut off with the rebound this this half of a day him get too many as they do first after he remember tons of offensive evolve on the center hunter spin move good defense apply leader finds Kamara streaking he'll be foul they'll shoot - then I'll make those little goes through the fog on you so hard to see the fingers oh they get the files I'm peeing outs on monocle not monocle it's on scheme' or Shannon says first it's only the first team foul on them too I think come on gonna make these baby [Music] w up for seven or six to go got that one to go eight coins for kumara he's been 557 minutes to go in the ballgame then we up five hunter thinking about a shot Jenna [Applause] Jake's couldn't handle it nice save my Warshofsky go get it what a play four seconds on the shot clock don't fall don't fall don't fall shot clock violation what a play by Warshofsky in the other end yeah alright then we're gonna break this 6:35 to go on the game they're up five with the ball Durant on the bench you gonna come with him with what the four-minute mock either way Crowley three to stay up though fools I look good Davies Jake patience dumb bring it back out use a little clock Carol coos is telling the same thing slow it down good clock you're up 5-3 pointed be nice here but I'll take a loop even Jake's Jack sit down jump ball [Applause] able to solve it Beverly 12 seconds on the shot clock though mana Glyn for Warshofsky belly up 5 6 ill to NASCO yet to score mrs.

Nordhoff on the Miami play I'd picked by Crowley heroes after Moreland trailing long - couldn't get the roll the roll again they'll be getting one shot your one and done and you get a credit master hunter for three oh we catch [Music] [Applause] his first point since the first quarter two-point game he'll be up to Crowley driving he's a man he's a sophomore but he's a grown man through the falls on the field he's got 12 and drains gonna check in 526 bowels gonna go on shenna this second I think that's only two on the right that is their second team foul 3.0 big one probably gets it back let's go five was born all right he does five-point lead need to stop in the hoop via terrain back in the game we'll see if they go after him hunter rally three eight it's also going the fifth hunters gonna shoot the fear to be his first free throws a night [Applause] this one's good 58-54 he's got all full he's got all four points in this quarter primask oh yes he does all five now three point game again Oh Luigi is back in to mention that I thought you killed the four-minute mile a minute Luigi big three again Beverly one shot monocle going after terrain model the night ends of all op di they swap out of bounds I can EE ball alright I want to came with the rain I I said before a minute mark he got 446 he was in at five and a half Oh was he okay I'm missing going in Abreu but it's a you know you got to come with him out Crowley soft touch yes he's got seven in this fourth ice in his veins 15 points eight more bellies baths to a man in man now they're gonna go man the man the rest of the way three frost off that's off that thought he's been off all night Ethan they bring it back out there we said three air balls at air ball chance deserving I think all night a faint nice pass by Crowley bowling bowling right yeah 21 points for him that got you excited past with the Crowley kim yeol head and shoulders honored ASCO gets right back though then hunters got all seven 6257 355 left to go in the fourth they get the time off lefty afore that's that's belly's time oh it is down the arena don't three okay Garrett Kudus they're talking to his team so both teams should have three timeouts left I believe over their bellies up 562 57 we call this earlier again Alex if you notice that bevels been like one and done I don't they'd good oh you know you've got offensive rebound if they do they don't have too many this the first half they were like dominating on that offensive glass so a mask was done a much much better job since that time out finances on behalf keep the belly to one shot we've got a five-point game gonna be belly ball from the timeout does a nice job by Crowley Crowley giving us a fake those man he had his men beat women and what happened was Duncan to me I helped all on Crowley probably read it nicely and just gave ranking to hand off to Duncan for the easy wide-open layup again very unselfish team all right tomorrow he's gonna take the ball out of bounds Toscani in the backcourt all right here we go huge moments we're under four minutes to go why halfway through the last quarter fill me up five nice pass Crowley Oh on the floor I think it's gonna be on monocle Tony Austin he is good do it on the team Beverly ball the mountains run the line play look for the third guy in bounds knew it is didn't how one almost hit the floor it was so in there you know find hunter he's been eating this quarter he can't get it to go though I Crowley made him alternate shot that wall he can't handle it again College defense if he's not blocking and he's off in the shot jack was up and above him and he kind of off my toe be still at five three and a half minutes the gold in the ball game Pascoe pretty much with an extra possession here after bolin lost that one get a feel like if they can get some points out of here it's huge whoa luigi got away with almost a fifth foul Mia Ravel before the shot she's gotta stay home stay home Luigi stay on your feet and we're getting a watch at what's the chip they're just saying we're a common web you lence get out the wambulance Brian that's a new one all right well coming up to the 3-minute mark 305 and countin belly up five big possession right here Alex Kamara Oh doc can lost it again second straight possession hold your feet I think we've got that who Jewett's he's got 11 legit so you think that one's gonna get a chance to pull away Maskull winces Moreland Crowley spot up can't get the roll Moreland jump a little early there tell it again monocle drilling through the defense wall board it's coming the other way time he comes a fast enough travel from the coffee travel he knew it you know all right Beverly nurse a little three-point lead 62 59 223 to go in the game hunters gonna be checking back in soon [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] probably takes in the shootout 14 on the shot clock Warshofsky drop down to monocle nicely Crowley the we got a one-point game 60 to 69 for under two minutes to go 152 each team with three timeouts monocle he's got four tonight each team with three timeouts Derain in the corner he's been held silent pretty much family off at the rebound might be different I mean and monocle takes it to Kyle Kamara ten points three assists a couple steals huge points for the Panthers then we have three 1:18 ago three from Warshofsky off foul ball alright nobody scores here I'll be surprised if doesn't take your time oh he's got three left all right now it's mask oh all right so Maxwell's going to have two timeouts left yes two timeouts left so bellies get three timeouts left nasko has two left and got a three-point game it's like what 113 to going think it's 111 left 111 this is yeah yeah it's it's not directly linked up to that so all I could get it as accurate as we can all right so we got a minute okay so got it we can a minute 11 left the go mean the five that are on the bench there for the Panthers Noakes is all over that will give him a tommy point yeah he's hustling by the way speaking Robert Doakes folks Robert Doakes the program's ready just outstanding job you know can't thank him for nothing he's the audio guy he's the guy's mark and Matt Matt but Robert Roberts checking audios he's twitching cameras he's the tech director he's putting up graphics he's doing the clock he's got the timeouts does he work at the MVP of the tournament he should get the MVP of the tournament Robert you got our vote he's a one-man producer folks all right belly all right now masters got a little depression on here Alex being the man pressure a minute and belly up three this is a huge huge possession here labeverly a hoop here would be big take a pic from Moreland tomorrow picks it up one break in your game right now one possession game will make it 200 good rally over the party but that keep our cool let's see the fouls on ya all big offensive rebound and we're getting the winch and the ambulance were breaking it out folks who's the fouls on Shanna that's his third and fourth on the team I believe yes Kylie shoot actually fifth on the team fifth on the team fifth on the team Oh golly misses the first and even solid all year from the lining all right so one possession game you need this one here make a two possession game Oh phew choke huge huge huge all right Crowley's got ten in this fourth quarter it's got 18 tonight this is a must offer here long three-pointer no good rebound mask atomic gets it backed up no good Crowley the rebound tomorrow he's gonna hold up yeah use the clock but low he's gonna have a foul it's monocles fourth there's no tomorrow all right so Beverly will be shooting the bonus 101 on the next file we gotta have a timeout come up here let's go all right masking omits using the fourth time oh now moved on say their last time out I believe yes bail we was still three timeouts belly up four a three-point it will put the game away here because they'll be a three-possession game a basket you know only puts them up six to possession but master is gonna need two three-pointers just the time mhm so oho just get a hoop it's a three-point of fine but I think what you're gonna see you're gonna see Bobby Beverly look to keep the ball and she be saying look for Crowley who's tough on the line now if they just foul there that looked like their Duncan I keep the ball dunked in the jack foul his hands okay because those are probably the best two free-throws reading for people's out there because Maspalomas is probably gonna play street defense for a little bit and then that X amount of time they're gonna have to file yep quite time heavy so we got a birdie five seconds left thirty five point one seconds left to go in the ballgame thirty five point one Beverly up for first thing you do is you got to get the ball and bounce here we're gonna roll pressure this is always easier said than done alright here we go look taco you hit him right away alright good all right guess I'll know you doctor take the ball out of bounds I was surprised he's like whatever had Duncan maybe trying to receive the ball knowing they're gonna probably foul but alright so Scotty he's gonna have a huge one-on-one here monocle checking back in for workshops key 34 seconds these two a huge can't knock down the first and want to go with the board it's coming the other way mask Oh looking to cut into that Beverly lead four-point lead two points that down I wish [Applause] [Music] someone we talked about all game Jake's 26 points in the first three quarters he's held scoreless fourth again we taught the boat you want your best free-throw shooters with the ball he had Duncan taking them all to Bosnia which I was a little surprised but let's see what happens here I thought you still like the ball in Duncan's hand or even Crowley's Crowley was actually opened there too and they split and he he thought about going to Crawley at the top of the key and then probably I got a little nervous with making a little bit longer pass and decided to go for a little shot of passed it just just Connie but right now I would be I would I up Crowley and Moreland having them break and look for one of them whoever it is get it to him no matter what does have to follow you huge huge moment in the final on the Laramie and I think we're underneath the shot clock when we come out here we are that we are all right I believe you got 27 seconds left to go in the game the bellringer four-point lead well he has 1.7 feeling for bond burner twenty four point seven seconds belly up to okay now come I retake the ball out of bounds all right just Connie here you go look for Duncan here get it to terrain can have the range shooting one-on-one big spot for Luigi now to make at least one he's got eight points tonight monocle back in for Warshofsky his Warshofsky is first monocle has four as well as chemin terrain knocks down the first EG free throw he'll be up three this can make it a two-possession game and really touch master on during the game sweet lord ten points all you looking for one rebound here hunter three three go get the ball and how ball goes foul okay they got a foul Bob Greenham 11 okay Moreland shooting one on one Beverly up before fo well that this files double bonus to but you're up for right here put them both in mascone leads to three points it's a tie with 17 point two seconds we got more shootin this is your third one oh one can't get it listen he gets the board no home and now it's the double bonus games all but over fifteen point one left Beverly with a four-point lead two shots coming here for Duncan Moreland you kiss that foul 24 is on hunter the third oh ho the second free throw just good easier this one just got a little bit easier Moreland's got 22 293 Crowley surprised they're taking him home yeah no I want a file go on to follow Luigi get off me he's grabbing him there yo reform uh drewett's yes clocks running don't hero it down to a play ugh throws it away he stepped out of bounds Beverly's gonna take this one there's only 0.3 left on the clock who hit that 3.0 that 3 was bud ruit's in the corner final score is going to be 6866 Beverly Panthers come away with this year's Larry McIntyre classic whose MVP from evolution it I'm going to Duncan Moreland so the whole tournament I'm going Duncan Moreland we're gonna get a timeout from mask oh it's only 0.3 left Beverly's ball have to be a miracle if not more 16 mascota win I'm putting it in the books right now who we got shootin yeah nobody's shooting him bound on the ball point three okay but my MVP is definitely Duncan Moreland he had 20 last night to go with 10 boards and tonight I get 22 in seventh woman's MVP tonight also I agree mask anomic Jake's definitely he had 26 in the first three quarters laying in the fourth yeah good lankton the four huge in the fourth quarter tonight was Crowley he had 10 in the fourth frame 18 points total for him fans got their money's worth tonight both games huh 4 Panthers in double figures terrain has 10 tomorrow with 10 18 for Crowley 23 for Moreland a great game Kyle Kamara 10 points huge assists down the stretch really composed himself and matured himself as the point guard with rotting on the shelf in Abreu you first half foul trouble really came into effect for the Panthers but Bentley was able to hold on for this w and the game's over the Panthers win the Larry McIntyre classic this year they take it over mask oh they beat Fenwick last night and which was pretty much a blowout but tonight much closer 6866 panther win now we're going to see what happens to the visit to not this is gonna oh you gotta get trying to get a Belmont final later on tonight if they want I will provide the Hat that they can pick the names out of I will provide I got plenty of baseball hats I get plenty hats too I'll just put an extra eight pieces of paper with Beverly's name on put a little trapdoor inside the Hat hide the bunny in the next to well we had a great - final game didn't we huh we really did that girls game that you guys didn't get a chance to see Fenwick an ESCO at the end but half the masculine on my definitely hot so you know both tees a well-played game great job great job both teams are gonna go into the tournament at 15 and 5 yeah I mean yep but the tiebreaker isn't gonna come into effect for these two because we're gonna think that there's gonna be more teams tied at 50 right so if there's three or more whistle it's probably gonna be definitely three more it's gonna be names in the Hat and luck of the draw you know but either way I don't care who you get it's nothing in Easyriders gonna be no easy else we're getting a picture here Larry McIntyre with the three Russell just threw the game and we're gonna go three awards presentations as well we're gonna have MVPs I'm gonna blow like so we both agree we're gonna go with you all-in injects yeah I'm gonna go with no all of them deadly MVP of the tournament Crowley was steady both nice to James why he's gonna be in there and you could go to two Toscani huge night wanna have the point tonight he had eight points tonight to go with four assists all right here's our boy Jake's we call that one Jake's I'm gonna go Duncan long for Beverly if it sounds stay right there because we're gonna take another picture with an ugly one on we're going with to Scotty a brave there you go so last night it was pretty hard to top I mean what he did last night and the way he did it's 30.6 thirties couple dunk combined both games but Duncan had two great games Toscani played well Crowley played well on both games Luigi deal or something everybody didn't know something it really is a very unselfish team no I in team like they say and the tournament MVP is going to darken more and more there you go there you go okay all right that makes sense okay I think they gave touchdown because the last night's and they had to be watered down you did they did it the right way so tough guy he's definitely been BP last night go to water tonight and Duncan an MVP of the whole tourney so we get the runner-up trophy now gonna be presented by Larry McIntyre to the mask atomic captain's we've got Jake's in Petrovsky and the belly captains will be coming out Matt running and the Ouija Duran looks up the championship trophy from Larry McIntyre Oh babbles all day we know he's industry cool what do they go Matt Ronnie Louise you're doing a great job by all these fans staying here for this ceremony - yeah you're right good point a lot of feel are all sticking around another very successful tournament they had a nice crowd both days in Beverly ends this season 15 and 5 they're guaranteed a couple home games let me tell you it's on that counter coolest took this team those 15 and 5 his first year yeah three little games we taught them all could've been well the other way yeah very easily could have been 18 and 2 but you know hey that's not you know in they've won their last five they've done the last three without Matt rotting they've had a short bench foul troubles have been plaguing them as well this is a great story to go into the playoffs and it's so great to have at least a couple home games that if we're free you know you and I are definitely gonna be here for them deftly playing so now we get an appearance will come out next Friday yep and I'll have Matt give me a call such a few with food we find out who will plan definitely count on the home game and hopefully they can win that home game you think they have to get to home yes I think they should they won the first game they like a second home game so it's great news for the Panthers their seasons gonna continue especially here on great news for you at home because you're gonna get another couple games of the Alan Tommy show here we go baby the Alan Tommy show we're gonna be coming at you through your living rooms in about a week or so for a couple home games for the Panthers thank you for Robert Doakes our producer does everything behind the scenes mark layman Matt pooja on cameras a great season and it's not over yet Beverly takes this one 6866 for Tom Donovan I'm Alex the leuco we'll see you soon I gave a little quick shout out to the rest of you love that it's the little things big big help alright so your night for tonight I can you know everybody and thanks thanks for coming out tonight to hear our social studies presentation my name is Tom you saw I'm the social studies and media department chairperson I work at Churchill junior high school and East Brunswick high school so I work with students and teachers grades 8 to 12 and my name is Dan Moran and I'm the social studies supervisor for the district I worked for grades K to 12 I work very closely with Tom and I oversee the social studies programs for the whole district we both also started here as teachers yeah both of us came of age Eddie's for all we know is he's bronze right yeah I started in 2000 in this street apartment and about six seven years ago I transitioned into my current position yeah I started in 93 in the English department and now here we are so thanks for coming out tonight and what we want to do is give you an overview of the department and try to give you kind of like a sampling of the kind of things that the students do from grades K to 12 and the scope of the program yep so one of the things that I talk to parents every year at orientation nights so when a new presentation for eighth grade and tenth grade parent orientation nights I always say that history class as we all experienced it probably when we were in school is very very different than what our students experienced today so for example when I was in school at the high school history class was you know the teacher kind of standing up in the front and just talking at us for a span of about 45 minutes and you know I would just sit there and feverishly write notes and every five minutes or so I'd shake up my hand you know because it started a cramp until I you know go again for another five minutes and the teachers stood up there and had the overhead projector and would kind of hold this piece of paper over his notes and would slowly go line by line by line and that's what we did daily right it was just committing things to short-term memory it wasn't really building upon any type of skill base wasn't doing something that may be better in my science class at writing a lab it didn't make me better at solving some sort of formula or problem solving in a math class it didn't make me stronger in reading and interpreting complex text that I was facing in a language arts class it just improved my ability to commit things to short-term memory regurgitate it on an assessment and then it was just gone so one of the things that dr.

Moran and I really really wanted to do when we got together in this department was to make it much more than a skills-based to focus on the things that were transferable to focus on the things in class we're gonna make students stronger lab writers in a science class to make them but are consumers of the language arts to be able to read like complex text like some of you see on your tables tonight these are the texts that our students are grappling with the skills that they're gonna use not just as they go into different classes throughout the district but also as they go on in their lives because these are the things that they're going to be working on as they grow into into adulthood so we want to kind of walk you through the skills tonight that working at Wright that we that we have our students practice in the department all right okay okay we have to go back we flipped through everything really really quickly there but one of the first things you're gonna see is we're very big on asking questions we think historians ask questions we want to show you right some of the kind of the old-school questions that Tom just mentioned and we want to show you kind of some improvements on them all right so we just want to show you it like a generic set of history questions that sometimes people might expect get asked in a history class so here's the first one Europe in what year was Rome sacked by the Visigoths on the spot but that would be kind of like an old school to have a question that we would have in some of our classrooms okay name three European leaders present in Austria at the time of the Congress of Vienna in 1814 okay it's a 19th century Europe no takers all right okay one of the most significant differences between the presidencies of Millard Fillmore and Zachary Taylor in fourth grade we focus on the history of New Jersey so here's a question how many municipalities are there in New Jersey right another one is what's the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution all right more people might get that when we think which region remained free of European domination by defeating an Italian invasion force with the accompany that map question okay so now truth be told these questions actually came from old exams that we used to give at East Brunswick High School and some of the exams that we gave at Churchill junior high school and at Hammarskjold as well so this would be kind of like a question that when I was in high school you know I would face and these kind of you either know it or you don't type of questions right so what we do is we like to think that we ask that our questions not just we but as we're gonna you're gonna see tonight we get our students to ask better questions it's a big piece of what we do and one of the resources that we use in classrooms throughout the district is this it's called the questioning chart so the questioning chart was something that came from I believe is an elementary school teacher who first introduced it to dr.
