still in field goal range i believe it'd be about a 47 yarder right now so maybe we're on the outskirts of it i'd say get try to get five six yards get yourself in a little bit of better position if you need to get a field goal yeah i feel like he could kick at least a 40 yarder still a two score game columbia leads it 30 to 14 three minutes to go in the third quarter four down lineman three linebackers they're sending one on a blitz it's not gonna be picked up no time at all for quarterback dominic vaguely to get it off and it's gonna be a big loss of eight to bring up a fourth down and 20. no time yeah they had they had a couple guys on blitz there so it's kind of hard for those linemen to pick up guys that are coming at different times i know you got linebackers that sometimes show right right whenever the quarterback's going through his cadence and then you got some linebackers that can just wait and be three four yards off the ball and then right when the balls snap they're coming straight straight ahead so um vaguely i guess didn't see the blitz there and he didn't really have any time to get the ball away punt does get off and it's going to go to the right side get a block bounce let's go get a bounce not a block great job adam wiblemeyer so freeburg will take over at the 10-yard line scary part about this kind of stuff right here you almost delay yourself too much if you're the offense you try slowing everything down stick to your game plan yeah keep your pedal down i never did like a uh a stalling offense makes sense but well that that was just kind of a wacky wacky drive too we had a that offsetting well so-called offsetting penalty where we only gained five yards gonna be a handoff up the middle for the stone running back he's gonna gain eight nine he's gonna gain a lot more he's brought down at the end by london little for a gain of 20.

the clock says fourth down 10 and 10 10 yards to go almost at inches on the 39 yard line quarter four that will have to be updated as this will be a first down and ten for the spartans or the east long meadows [Music] scores 56 to eight with 347 to go so i love how the cheerleaders are giving up that that was pretty electric and robin dude drops back to pass again there's another one out he's feeling good he just overthrew him had him that was ferentino so devin why is the clock running after and probably just going out on a limb here may have to do with the score but is that a is that a thing in the game of football i know it isn't hockey and soccer i believe yeah it's just it's just a little out of reach honestly at this point unless some really drastic thing happened so they're just gonna let it run and the give us to king king with i believe his longest run of the night he's got a first down spartans showing some life first down okay remember 20 isaiah king for the first down and now robadoo firing looking end zone got his man not johnny ferentino touchdown east long meadow you know devin connor not connor yeah connor robidu sorry he can throw a good ball yeah we just saw two really good throws johnny ferentino with the snag there how about that mike you know what evan i'm upset that casey left because as soon as the spartans start airing out some balls see some pretty good results so that's exciting as myself sitting in the stands as well i enjoy balls being thrown christopher john calogi now set to kick off kick kick the ball this is my favorite part of him p-a-t that thing is blasted through christopher john calogy look at him run off the field number 15.

if he gets past london he's in the promised land starting to become a good one alex freiberg going tempo they're gonna send a man in motion quarterback's gonna keep it up the middle he's gonna get about five i don't know about that penalty [Music] i told you it's gonna keep getting a little chippy i don't know about that though i know that's guys just bickering back and forth at each other yeah i think that play right there that guy's still finishing his block in the play finish at the last second so it's a personal foul on the freeberg midgets yeah you got to protect yourself in games like this because look at coach tremaine being such a nice guy down there picking up the penalty flag for the ref you ever been hit by one of those they're hard dude they're like they're like sand rock things like a concrete it's like a marble flying at you a pack of marbles so with the penalty it's gonna be i guess it's a half the distance to the goal or a 10 yard penalty that's 10 yards so it brings up a first down in 20.

second down in 20 rather these refs seem all out of proportion tonight they're winding the clock so the clock's running 1 30 to go columbia leads it 30 to 14. columbia's got four men down three linebackers sending a man in motion they're gonna hand the ball off up the middle they're gonna gain nothing maybe three brings up a long third down and 17. don't get beat on anything stupid here yeah i would put if i'm coach tremaine here i'm putting the london little or somebody back here at safety to let nobody pass me you look at our safeties in our corners we've got london hands dom hands maulding hands two trained hands all speed if we fake the blitz in mclaren he's going to drop back in coverage it's going to be up the middle i don't think that's going to be a fumble on the play who's going to recover it's a big question it's eagle football with the force fumble did he recover too yes he did and you know what his biggest uh accomplishment he wanted to have this year beat free bird beat freebird that's a big fumble recovery right there for dawson sue cup and i bet he is as happy as can be right now as he's running off the field here and all of his buddies are giving him high fives it's a big play there by a senior dawson suit cup so columbia is going to take over at the 12 yard line gotta love it there sniffer back to the left two running backs they're gonna fake the handoff dom's gonna keep it try to go up the middle he's gonna gain two yards took another fall second down in seven now i don't mind 27 seconds on the play clock 28 on the game clock yeah you let this one run uh you gotta run one more gotta run one play same formation this time london's gonna be the motion man they're gonna hand the ball off to mcconaughey he's only going to gain a couple if any and brings up a third down so that'll do it for the third quarter columbia is going to take a 30 to 14 lead into the fourth quarter don't go anywhere ladies and gentlemen columbia doesn't get the end zone here we got a whole new ball game as freeberg's starting to gain a little bit of momentum we will be back with the fourth quarter after this welcome back ladies and gentlemen let us know where you're listening to one final time for this much anticipated goku conference matchup in a close cookie conference matchup as the eagles lead it 30 to 14 trying to get into the end zone on this third down and eight trips to the right side gonna be a quick bubble route to london he's gonna have to spin out he's not gonna get anything maybe to the line of scrimmage i don't know if that's coach warner taking it easy on that play well it doesn't really have much yeah it's still a two possession game here so when you bring out adam webermeyer puts uh three three more points up on the board here you're going to be up 33-14 so you'll be up 19 which is three scorers but got to make it first clock keeps rolling clock is our friend come on saigon on for the hold jackson is your long snapper as usual and they get him to jump we're going to get a little closer huh so now you're going to have a fourth and five now coach hoarder is going to think about it isn't he [Applause] freeberg has to be careful their coaches and sidelines pretty animated they got to be careful they don't have another penalty yeah to give a first down you know in this rivalry when we go to cl or freebird they say we get we say we get homered and i'm sure free bricks another 15.

another 15. there's another penny's gonna be a first down for the eagles now coach warner you look over at our sideline he's telling us to calm down he's telling no he's telling our guys to calm down unsportsmanlike conduct on freeberg so coach horner you got to keep control of your team right now and you got to protect yourself too because i know i know freeburg is known for late hits and looking just having a nose out just for laying the hit on somebody so so now has got to keep your head on a swivel during the last 11 minutes of this game because it could get a lot more chippier than it is so now what's the penalty or the yardage here we had a fourth and goal now it's first and goal from the three right it's going to be a half a day should be down yep yep half a distance to the goal i'll take it alex i'll talk about long knows what's going on first goal from the three put the ball game away eagles clock he's gonna roll right get heavy in there oh so it's fourth down well i just what's been like isn't a a personal foul i guess is an automatic first but a sportsmanlike stays i guess so now we're going to have heavy end of the game clock is rolling 11 minutes to go play it 10 probably going to burn a timeout here and coach horner is going to talk about it with his team probably go to a break here alex if you wanted to or we could stay here it's a big crucial point of the game what are you going to do we're going to stay here i'm going to pick jared germain's mind what are you doing here i'm running heavy i'm putting mcconaughey or london little in the backfield i'm trusting my offensive line i'm saying hey all we need is a yard and a not even you need a quarter three quarters of a yard so i'm saying often get behind that offensive line and i'm trusting in mcconaughey or london little uh get me a first down i'm going dive week dive week everybody expects so you had dom keep it on the last play everybody and everybody expects power on to the right side so i'm just gonna hand it off right away that place happens so quick yeah you're taking it you're taking your half step out you're handing it to your full back and they're going right up the middle like you said you only need three quarters of yard why are you going to come back five yards to hand the ball off the run and i think that we do oh we do heavy power so yeah i know that's the thing don't fix what's not broke i guess not i mean when you have mcconau i mean mcconaughey and london little who can do so many great things like we've said the past four weeks i think if i i think if you say can you get me a yard i think i think they're gonna be able to get you a yard but you know that freeberg's gonna probably blitz here and bring all the juice that they have so i mean there's a lot of options here for coach horner on this fourth and one definitely a crucial point in this game if you if you score on this drive it puts you up three scores and it's definitely a tougher tougher comeback and if you don't score your pin in freeberg's offense from the three but we're not going to talk about that we're going to get in the end zone here we are in heavy formation heavy formation mcconaughey in the backfield dominic vaguely under center is he going to do a heart count he's going to take the hand off he's going to hand it off to mcconaughey he's going to get into the end zone for columbia eagles touchdown eagles [Applause] is that his third i believe so i think it's his second rushing and he had one receiving and then malding had one they're receiving as well so it puts it 36 14 10 56 the pat from whibi good snap good hold kick is up kick is good so that makes it 37-14 we will head to a break one more time tonight with just under 11 minutes to go in the fourth quarter we will be back after this welcome back ladies and gentlemen where the eagles have now taken a 37-14 lead i think one more stop and we might have ourselves a victory webb's going to send it deep nope he's going to squibb it squibbing whipping it's going to be touched by freeburg twice and it's going to be downed at the 24 yards i like that squibbing after that touchdown there the cheerleaders have now completed 125 push-ups for the night no i'll pump that out right for you now right now alex i'll pump 125 right now the game will be over by the time you're done nah eagles defense comes out onto the field doing everything that they could tonight stopping this freeberg offense that's put up 54 52 and 35 points and stopping them the 14.

gonna be a handoff up the middle for stone the big running back from freeburger he's going to gain about four where he's brought down by a bunch of eagles led by oliver schrader there's been certain points of this game where freeberg just gets in a certain tempo like they kind of are getting into now again quarterback's going to fake it to the wide receiver in motion and he's going to keep it up the middle still fighting for some yards gains about three yards on that play range on the carry tackle by number 15 colin mclaren mclaren you've heard his name quite a bit on the defensive side of the ball tonight and that's that's pretty good to see from senior linebacker senior quarterback linebacker coach amston over here talking to an offensive lineman for the eagles always coaching going to be a low snap bobble that's a snap throws the timing off and it's going to be caught by freeberg nobler might have had a hand in it by dominic vaguely and he did great play dom not giving up on the play [Applause] that's your quarterback alex both of those plays back to back your two quarterbacks and i don't think coach germain has been able to say that very much because i know coach horner would not allow his quarterbacks in the past to play a lot of defense so um i bet coach germain's pretty happy to see his sophomore safety make that play there fourth down and three freebirds gotta go for it ten minutes to go in the game you almost had him beat too he had to like gain about three four yards on and snuck his hand in there and pulled the ball out doubles with a sniffer back right another low snap timing's off going to be a botched play and they're going to get a first down out of it freeberg's going to have 15 20 30 30 yard gain on the play oh that's a did you first that i see the ball rolling across the field yeah the ref was asking for our ball he threw it right at his feet free bird going tempo once again when they get a big play they go right up to the line of scrimmage doubles of the left side running back right sniffer back right quarterback takes the snap he's looking deep he's got everybody running verts he's going to look to the deep he's got a man there and it's going to be tipped and fall incomplete little and vaguely on defense great camera work tonight by jacob and as always mr nickerson manning the controls behind us we've got our own wi-fi hard wire yeah it ain't even like it's a hardwire we ain't even on a phone or nothing this week alex we're second and ten gonna be handoff up the middle gonna be sniffed out by a lineman sukup on the play is it 75 where is that 60 65 65 yep [Music] those black unis they're kind of tough to see the numbers too owen brewer coming in at six one two fifteen gonna be a blitz by mclaren he's gonna force a quick pass and it's gonna be brought down london little for a loss of two fourth down and 10.

that's just a simple old fake uh play action pass and a little screen pass to the left side there and london did a great job of sniffing it out right from the beginning jumped right on it and knew what his receiver was doing coming back straight to the ball and made the tackle defensive played a great game so far keep it going fourth down and ten quarterbacks going to take it look to the right side and it's going to fall incomplete [Applause] and it's a turnover on downs for the eagles defense ben don't break baby they didn't break there you get a big stop you get a big turnover on downs and everybody walks off the field it drives me nuts defense just walks by the offense and the offense walks by the defense yeah if i'm that offense i'm running out there on the field ready to put this game away some urgency running the ball and i'm ready to run this clock down and send him home so the eagles offense will take over eight minutes 54 or 52 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter heavy formation from the 38 yard line vaguely under center london little to split out receiver by himself turns around hands the ball off to mcconaughey who gets hit behind the line of scrimmage keeps his feet moving keeps the play alive and gains three good first step there great vision take the first guy and just get rid of him he was in the backfield right whenever mcconaughey got the ball and turned a negative two yard into a three yard gain clock is our friend at this time 8 30 remaining i imagine these next couple plays will take place around five seconds or fewer on the play clock kind of quiet right now kind of quiet as an understatement student section is gone under center once again three seconds on the play clock we get the snap off hand it off to mcconaughey he's gonna get to the outside who's getting held on too and he's not gonna be able to get out of the grass still driving his little feet though number 54 there had might have had a finger on him and that was about it [Applause] [Music] number 55 he has been everywhere tonight i think there was woodham he's been all over the field on this side he looks more out you can tell by the way he got up on that last tackle but good job by mcconaughey to just keep his feet running there on that last one third down and four vaguely goes up to center under center tries to make him jump but freeburg doesn't under 10 seconds to go now in the play clock turns around hands the ball off to mcconaughey up the middle he's got a grab he's got to make one man miss he spins out of a tackle 10 25 yard gain on the play first down eagles and just like we said if you give him a little bit of space he can hit a hole and he's got he's got quick enough legs to to get explosiveness down the field and that's what he did right there had one guy to beat and he kind of grabbed him by the shoulder and slowed him down a little bit and let two free bird guys catch up to him and but a good 20 25 yard gain mcconaughey you're dominic vaguely you know you're not the senior in the huddle but you got to take over and tell the guys hey let's get going we got a chance to put this game away six minutes 40 seconds remaining in the game gets a snap off with one second to go mcconaughey runs to the outside a good stalk block by london that's going to get us another columbia eagles first down he's into the red zone he's feeling himself right now so now do we go with mcconaughey for the player of the game interview oh i know that that's a good one he's he's got what three touchdowns i believe two on the two on the run and one through the air i believe that's what it is so mcconaughey's going to come off mauldin's going to come on how about we see sue cub get a little heavy running back here so right now we are in debate between sukup whose goal was to beat freberg this year and then that big fumble recovery down here whenever free brick had a chance to go down and cut it to a one score game under center uh it's going to be a false start on columbia yes darn it oliver schroeder is wanting to get going and dom just held off a second too late so it's going to bring a first down and 15.

i had 30 i think that's what i'm ready [Music] i think it was 20 yeah i think i had 34.20 i did i'm pretty close i thought i had 45 14. now you had 28 21. get out of here wibbs gonna send it deep well he's squibbing whipping lately and he's going to do it again it's going to be through the five hole and going to be recovered this time by freeburger he's gonna make it up to the 37-yard line where their offense will take over this is a freeberg offense at averaged what did we say 42 points a game something like that yeah 47 that or 40 yeah something in the 40s and only giving up about 12 points yep they averaged 47 and 10. 40 yards returned 15 yards yeah that's pretty it's pretty strong but columbia came out here and flipped it on them so unsportsmanlike conduct on the eagles coach horner is going to be asking for a number there [Applause] there's some extra sprints tomorrow on the sled this sled's got to be easy on the truck so much easier it's so much especially in the morning all that dude is just sitting right on top of it ocean man for freebird fake the motion they're going up the middle they've had positive yards on that all night long tonight and they gain eight looks like vaguely gonna come out and that's gonna be it for him tonight oliver schrader there for that last tackle number 24 this evening doubles to the left side going to be a quarterback keeper they're going to run to the left they're going to get a first down and a bunch more and it's going to be fumbled on the play and it's going to be recovered by the eagles i believe wide receiver and safety were covered battling for it come on officials give us a who is it the officials still haven't motioned who gets the football [Applause] i'm covered by freeberg nope they're gonna say he was down no fumble on the play [Applause] [Music] oh really i think i agree with that though really yeah i think i think he was down no because i think he tackled him he brought him on top of his body that could have been and his body didn't hit the ground yet gonna be a pass play there looking deep down the middle of the field and it's gonna be tipped oh that ref almost took another fall tipped and incomplete that's his third time guy's taking a beating back there he needs to go buy himself a lottery ticket after this game because all those players have been so close to just knocking him over and he's failed twice second down in ten for the midgets offense sending the motion man once again they're gonna fake the motion go up the middle gonna be sniffed out by the eagles linebacker i believe can't see a number but it was a linebacker i think that's schroeder they're giving the tackle to brennan weak jared getting set he's heading down for the post-game interview it's going to be a toss to the left side and stone once again running the football hard can't take anything away from him tonight he's ran downhill and in a hurry [Applause] brought down on the play by saigon [Music] [Applause] first down in goal gonna go up the middle once again stones running behind three down linemen who are just bulldozing their way through gonna get to about the one or two yard line stone running hard he hasn't taken a play off tonight second down and goal from the one what do you know we're gonna hand the ball off up the middle once again he's gonna keep his feet moving and get in for a touchdown he was hit about three yards deep and gets his way into the end zone i just heard the guys over in the pa area saying he is 5 10 200 pounds and he is a bowling ball of a running back so freeburg on for the p-80 good snap good hold kick is up and it is good so that takes the score columbia 44 freeburg 21 it's a 23-point game here in columbia we will head to a break and have the final action for you when we return welcome back ladies and gentlemen to columbia's multi-purpose field where they are taking on the freeberg midgets in a coke conference battle look for an onside kick here potentially or a squib kick [Applause] out of the freebird kicking team they're going to send it deep and it's going to be recovered by mcconaughey he's going to try to make something out of nothing but he's going to take a knee after no gain i believe that is who jared is going to get for our post game interview once again thank you everybody for listening and thank you to all of our sponsors we appreciate everything you've done and after a year that we've had with covid we strongly encourage everybody when you're going out stay local stay in town they've helped us now we need to help them we've had people from aces wild once again they stream every game up there people are watching from up there this week they've been texting in and commenting like crazy so we appreciate that from one of our sponsors in aces wild eagles will be under center going to turn around hand the ball off to mcconaughey he's going to go up the middle he's going to get hit at the line of scrimmage he's going to gain three yards good job by him to keep his feet moving as well he picks up three yards on the plate tackled by caseburg one minute 30 seconds remaining in the ball game columbia might even be able to get into heavy here for the last two plays i'm not really sure we can hear matt yelling up at us from the 35-yard line columbia's gonna stay in heavy for the second down and seven 110 remaining in the ball game snaps with the one second on the play clock and they're not going to get anything they're going to get back to the original line of scrimmage and that's it for a loss of three on the play his mechanic hughes had himself a big night coming into the night really didn't get to talk too much about him we've we've said we've had some issues running the ball in between the tackles but tonight mcconaughey has not had any issues running between the tackles he's getting positive yards just about on every play third down and ten dominic vagley will be in victory formation the greatest formation in sports that will be it thanks to me [Applause] [Music] so that'll do it the final 10 seconds we'll tick off as columbia will win this one 44-21 improved to 4.01 or 4-1 3-1 rather on the season um so colombia improves three and one freebird falls the three and one jared is down with mcconaughey getting everything set up as the team splits over to the 35 yard line for the post game interview yeah i got you jared got me kyle hey good game tonight hadn't got to talk to you much this year talk about you much this year i've had some trouble running in between the tackles but tonight didn't seem to be an issue once you had head of steam you were able to get a bunch of yards tonight they were pushing people back and i just happened to find some holes and got some good yardage absolutely one touchdown coming into tonight two on the ground for you one through the air that play that you made in the air and the touchdown over in the corner that was a heck of an athletic play thank you uh you know we just put that in today uh coach saw something with their defense and we just tried to just try to get the ball out and in the end zone so was this a game that you had scheduled on your schedule or circled rather on your schedule this year you always want to beat waterloo and you always want to be free burgers are you the same way in the same thought process as i am oh for sure for sure freeburg is always a big a big game for us and uh we come into it fired up and we got the job done tonight absolutely one more home game against east alton wood river will enjoy tonight's victory get ready for next week's big game and close the season out on a high note good job this evening thank you that was kyle mcconaughey on tonight's player of the game interview after the eagles win this one 44-21 pretty much dominant on the eagles part all night long as they shut down the or the freeberg offense they kept the eagles kept scoring like we were able to do and no complaints from anybody up here that is for sure next week we will be at home once again in our own press box don't have to worry about weather don't have to worry about any wi-fi it will be the final broadcast of this caliber next week as we will not be able to make it to the alt marquette game where the we we will be streaming though as usual so that will do it tonight columbia wins it 44-21 on behalf of columbia high school mr nickerson coach horner mr reeves the principal howie knapp thank you for the stats thank you buddy and sharky for your assistance chain gang once again volunteering as you have for many many years columbia wins this one and proves the three in one 44-21 we will see you next week have a good night [Music] you

right good evening thank you everybody was able to join us this evening to talk about the end of the year celebration for the seniors this is a really busy time of year but trying to plan a celebration for our seniors is a good busy we're all really enjoying it and things are starting to come together we have been we were waiting for the final guidelines from the city of northampton and to come through to make the final decision about where the celebration for the seniors would be the graduation and the celebration and so the city of northampton has decided to adopt the state's guidelines which allow 500 people for an event like graduation or an outdoor event like graduation so we decided to go with look park and have the graduation ceremony in the pines theater there and along with that we are going to we've also rented the six pavilions that are available to be rented at look park and so that allows us to have more folks which is one of the which is how we can have families in the park during the ceremony which is something we really are feeling strongly about and happy that is that that piece of it is able to happen so i i'm excited right now and trying to catch my train of thought it's been a long day you know good good busyness is that all right so the plan is for the graduation ceremony to happen on thursday june 10th now originally in the beginning of the year you saw the calendars it was planned for june 11th when we thought it was a possibility we could have it at the mullin center but now we decided to go with an outdoor celebration because we still we can't have an indoor event excuse me at the moment or anywhere else for that matter that could accommodate all the people we anticipate all of our graduates and their families so we're going to go with look park so the way the day is planned out there's a lot of details that still have to be decided and this camera and the subchurch and miss hager will talk to you a little bit while in a little while about some of those details and you'll be up have a chance to fill out a survey i'm going to try to quickly go over the overall view of the day and within that there will be certain pieces of it that will be filled in when we get the results of the survey back so the exact times are pieces that we will fill in once we get the survey back as well but on thursday june 10th unless it rains then if it rains the rain makeup the rain dates are either going to be monday the 14th or tuesday the 15th but for right now we're obviously planning it for thursday june 10th so the day will start out the seniors will show up at look park and they'll have their rehearsal that day and then after the rehearsal we'll provide some lunch for them and they'll be able to hang out with one another of course we're going to make sure that everyone is safe and distant and enjoying one another's company and then after that goes on for a little while everyone has a chance to eat then families will start to show up and we're figuring out a system for where each of the families will be at the different pavilions and then once the families show up all of the seniors will enter the pines theater will have the graduation ceremony we're shooting for a short but meaningful ceremony without quite as many speeches or quite as much proper circumstance but with just as much meaning and just as much love and attention and you know and celebration that we normally have and after the graduation happens then students will be again allowed to they'll be have time to socialize and mingle with their friends and families who will be spread out and kind of jumping all over the place a little bit but all the families will be spread out at the six pavilions and how we're gonna organize that will be explained as we go through tonight's presentation so after the ceremony happens and in the pines theater and again in the interest of time and everybody having the same experience and giving students as much time to socialize with one another safely as possible we're going to have in the way the limit to what as many people can be in the pines theater all of the families who will be in look park will be watching the graduation from up to a live stream at one of the pavilions whatever pavilion they end up at and then so after the excuse me the students leave and finish the graduation and have their diplomas then they're going to be able to go and socialize with each other with their families take pictures and hang out for a certain amount of time then approximately you know maybe 6 ish 6 30 ish families will start to leave the park and then the seniors will be provided at dinner and then we're going to have another celebration for them we plan on having music in the pines theater for the students who want to stay in the pines theater and dance and socialize at least three feet apart with the mask on and we will also still since we've rented the pavilion to have them all day and right next to the pines theater there is you know a volleyball court a small field a basketball court the other pavilions the playground so students will be able to socialize with one another there if they don't want to and they be able to hear the music from there as well so they can dance in the field or they can dance inside of the pines theater where they can hang out and do other games and the other activities that a lot of them will organize and you know really is designed so they can really enjoy their company making a whole day event to try to end the year on the most positive note that we can it was kind of a quick explanation but once your seniors get the survey you'll be able to see in there excuse me some of the details that you'll be able to choose so we can finish our plans and then once the plans are finalized everyone will be sent kind of a you know agenda of the day and with specific times and what will be expected of the seniors and their families and how the day will really go of course as we're going through this if you're thinking if i did go too fast you want me to repeat something else questions pop up please put them in the chat we'll do our best to answer all your questions this evening all right speaking kind of fast sorry if i lost some folks but now i'm going to turn it over to this camera hello everybody thanks so much for being here i'm delighted to be here for the same reason that mr sadiq um is delighted to be here this is this is a you know a celebration and we're excited to be able to do this yeah we did look at a lot of different venues and this one really seemed to serve all of our purposes so there's a couple things that are going to happen the class council is going to create a sign up genius for the pavilions okay and so um more to come on that but the idea will be that families will go ahead and sign up for the individual pavilions um and then we'll receive a sort of colored armband and you'll go to that pavilion which which is where you'll be watching this the live stream um currently we have a plan to have again the live stream at all six different pavilions and then we'll staff those pavilions with some technology staff to manage that so the idea will be the screen will be big because folks will have to be distanced at those pavilions so those screens are going to be pretty big um the good news though is that at each pavilion we can have 150 people i do see that there are some questions coming up and i will we'll answer them all at the end but i can answer amanda right now and say right now there will be fix there will be five tickets per graduate however the next thing that i'm about to say is we're going to send out a survey and this is a survey for students and the survey it's really really important that every single senior respond to this survey and their survey is going to ask some clearly very important questions number one are you planning to attend graduation right there's a chance you might not be able to attend graduation um and so it would be important for us to know that okay and then if you are attending how many people are you planning to bring so again the idea is five tickets per person but you know there are plenty of uh students that have really large families and so if you know for a fact that you're only planning to bring four students or sorry four guests then our hope would be you'd be willing to put those two tickets back into the pool for families that are much larger okay but again um it's right now it's five tickets per student now there's a chance the regulations in the cdc regulations and then northampton and state regulations might change and then that would change this a little bit so right now it's five tickets um so that's sort of the second question um we also want to know what kinds of performances students want in the ceremony itself so that is another question we're also going to ask what type of food are you interested in catering are you interested in food trucks and then the last question we're going to ask is what kind of music would you like would you like a dj would you like a band so those are the questions that we're looking to ask in that survey so it's a really important that folks fill that survey out it's also really important that once you get the sign up genius for those pavilions that you fill that out as well and more will come on that from the class council directly so right now what i want to do is i want to turn it over to um liz and britney who are our class advisors they've been working really hard on this and this is a this has been a tricky year for the two of them um and they're getting you know hundreds of emails a day about this and so it's one of the reasons we decided to go ahead and have a um a meeting so we could get the information disseminate the information all at once um so they're going to talk to you a little bit about um the parent group activities that are happening and as they talk about this parent group this parent volunteer group i'm going to go ahead and put some links into the chat regarding the parent activities so over to liz and brittany britt you want to go first go ahead sure um so yeah no problem uh brittany up church as miss cameron said class council advisor um and equally as excited to be talking about a very special moment um for all of our seniors uh in june just a few three short months away would you like me to get started ms hagan with some information all right so um we had an opportunity to uh meet with becky demling and sally fitz on some parent-run endeavors to celebrate our seniors and a couple of things that we talked about were endeavors that the whole community can get involved in to to celebrate our students to honor our students and definitely give them um you know some some moments to remember as they transition on from amherst regional high school so one of the first uh um you know endeavors i suppose you could say that we talked about were either window signs or lawn signs for each senior as well as signs uh to go out on the on the common in town um very similar to what was done last year for the class of 2020 and in doing so each you know graduating senior will have a sign for their home um we'll have signs to go neighborhoods and apartment complexes signs for the common and then also including some signs in downtown um similar to last year a large banner and even some light post banners um that are going to be put up in and on display for a couple of days if not a week or two um another um activity or endeavor that we spoke with with these two about was the car parade again something similar to what was done for the class of 2020 but i know that they're looking to put a couple of different twists on it um to make it really special for for our group of seniors this year um and one of the last um you know activities if you will that we talked about in regards to our seniors was a june 4th ice cream social so um it's a tradition that on the last day for seniors once they have been dismissed that they head out into the parking lot and they have an ice cream social with their peers um and this has gone on um every year that i've been at the high school and again something that this group of parent volunteers was looking to make sure that we expanded upon um and had for for our kiddos this year in a in a safe and regulation safe way um this june so i know that miss camera has put some links in that maybe you're already starting to click on and look through um i don't know if miss hagen would like to chime in at any point or i can continue here with fundraising goals and kind of where this parent group is at oh you're muted miss sega i want to thank everybody who's been on this call um most of you know me liz haygood i'm the class of 21 2021 advisor with miss upchurch and i especially wanted to give a shout out to our student class leaders they know who they are and i know you know who you are and they've been working really hard with us and um trying to keep a pulse on everything and answering as many questions as they possibly can i think it's very important that you reach out to ms demilling misfits and the committee that they have if you're a parent they're trying to really really help us make this a meaningful year for our students and our children and so they have a goal of raising money they're asking for like thirty dollars per family or as much as you can give in order to help some of the defray the cost of some of the things that they're trying to make put together for our students and um so if you wanted to reach out to them i'm not sure they can't be on the call so they can't speak i guess but um you should email if you don't if you can't get a hold of them you can email me or mrs upchurch miss cameron mr sadiq and we would forward your email to them so that they can get back to you i think that's it for now please pay attention to miss cameras emails on all the things that you can do in order to get a hold of the parent group and if anybody has questions they can also email them or email one of us thank you brittany and liz um that's great so if you look in the chat you'll see that i put the there's a volunteer sign up um as well as one option would be to contact becky demling directly at beckydemling yahoo.com there's also an opportunity here to donate if you'd like to donate there is a gofundme here in the link in the chat excuse me we will also send out an email with a lot of this information in it and we'll include these links as well so i'm going to go ahead and shift directions a little bit now back towards mr sadiq who's going to talk about returning school supplies and then we'll head into an opportunity for questions and answers all right thank you camera so seniors your last official day of school will be friday june 4th so that week is a short week because may 31st that monday is memorial day but june 1st through the 4th at any time after school once you are finished with your books and chromebooks we're asking to please bring them to the school there'll be people here up until at least four o'clock on most days if the if between after school and four doesn't work please email either myself or the arhs office dot at arps.org and let us know what time that will work and we'll make sure somebody's here to receive the supply that you bring back um yeah it's really that whole week that we're asking you guys to bring back and then of course on friday june 4th will be ice cream social and the celebration will start okay so yeah i was going to say what else you want whatever you want to add and then we'll move to question and answer go ahead so also on june 4th i i do believe is when we'll be handing out caps and gowns so keep that in mind as well okay oh go ahead sorry miss camera and the only other thing that i i wanted to add was that you know we had a conversa excuse me a conversation a couple weeks ago now and i said you know the phrase it takes a village has really taken different shape for me over the last year so i think if you're hearing this and you're excited about some of the things you know coming up for yourself as a student get your your families involved in and help miss devlin and miss fitz and all the others on this parent committee that are putting forth some time and effort to make these these things happen for you right and if you're hearing this as a parent or a guardian or family member get involved you know we need your help we want your help our kids our students deserve the help um so anything that you can do nothing is too small whether it be monetary or of course your assistance at any of this so just keep in mind that you know as the sun starts coming out more and we're moving into spring weather we want to make sure that we're enjoying each other outside in some of these wonderful ways as often as we can and as safely as we can so definitely reach out and get involved okay so i'm going to go ahead and move into the question and answer um section of this and i'm going to start with i think is grant powicky um grandpa wiki is asking will this dance celebration be in lieu of a prom mr siddique would you like to answer that question sure so it will be in louisville prom so right now the regulations on the prom are pretty strict and we thought this would be the our best alternative we're going to have a chance to provide food to allow all the seniors a significant amount of time to dance and celebrate and we're thinking of ways to make it a little more fancy like potentially having like a red carpet and a dj maybe announcing people as they walk in walk back into the pine state after graduation for the prom dance party portion of it definitely opened ideas on ways again to make it more prom like and more fancy people are of course they can dress up they can have their dress clothes underneath their uh their cat their gown or their family they could have leave their clothes with their families and then change afterwards would be totally up to you but yes this is this is what we're going to do instead of how many guests will be permitted per graduate um as of right now it is five per graduate um again there'll be an opportunity to to get some additional ones out of a bank hopefully and there's a chance that the state and city regulations may change so we'll see right now it's five so someone's asking for a translation of this i don't know if you tried to turn on closed captioning and then translate it into spanish that's an option if that's not working right now we certainly can do that once this is being recorded so once it's been recorded i can have it translated and then send it out as part of the email um amanda you know i have to ask this question you deserve to put this here who is amanda demling and norris harris's response is some lady uh i think we know who amanda i'm pretty sure you know who your mom is so i have to put that up because it's hilarious um logan return of the dj chromebook that is absolutely possible and it's an interesting idea i would encourage you to go ahead and write to the class council let's see um another really interesting question from amanda you you know you deserve this you put them in the chat i'm gonna put them up can we go pass fail for this quarter i'm not vibing i'm pretty sure your colleges would frown upon that but it's funny um okay susan will there be places for students to change get ready at the park the answer to that question is yes there are bathrooms at every pavilion this one is a good question i'm not sure i know the answer to that question i know that dogs are allowed in the park um but i think we might have to get back to you on that one unless someone else has an answer yeah i'm not exactly sure but if your family yeah we'll have to check and get back to you i want to answer prematurely and then have to tell you oh by the way it's changed but we'll get back to you about that one thanks well graduation be live stream to houses as well it's going to be live streamed throughout the world anybody in the world can watch this woohoo um okay will seniors be able to bring a guest or a date to the celebration the answer to that one is going to be in no just because the space doesn't allow for um additional folks logan says he was joking i wasn't joking um okay graduation is going to be at look park in northampton thank you shannon for answering that that's a really good question are baby toddlers required a ticket for entry to the graduation i'm going to go with a no on that what do you think mr sadiq would say no as well so they'll be at they'll be allowed to be at the pavilion with their family yeah i gotta believe that that will be fine for what under one and under i'd say yeah i mean babies who are being held by family members are sort of part of one person okay i'm gonna wait a few more minutes for additional questions to see if they're coming in so while we're waiting for questions i'll just like to remind everybody again so we're going to send out the survey in the next day or two and the sooner we can get this back assuming we can finalize the plans and then get everyone in the same page about exactly what that day will look like and give families the time to really plan and figure out how many extra tickets we'll have so families who need we want more than five tickets can have them and then we'll get a more accurate number of how many folks will really be at the graduation ceremony so we can start preparing for the and buying the food and reserving the food there's a lot of graduations happening in this area right there and there's like a limited number of food trucks if we go in that direction because we learned that the food trucks that can come into the park have to be licensed in not only in the state but also by the town of the city of northampton so that again as soon we can get kind of final numbers and make those get those final pieces of the puzzle figured out the better chance we'll have you know having more options better options for those pieces so will the park be reserved for the graduation events or just the graduation events the answer to that question is mostly yes we have rented all of the pavilions however there's some central space that's going to be used for athletic events i think that there's lacrosse happening um so there will be other folks at the park but very few um will entrance to the park be free i think the answer to that is yes we're covering the cost of that for sure are there things that family and friends who can't be there can do to celebrate and support graduates that's a great question hmm does anyone have thoughts about that that's a big question all right so we are happy to say that they can watch the live stream of the actual ceremony itself which i think is great but yeah guys in terms of other things that they may be able to do um one of the things they can do is get a hold of miss stemling and misfit and work through them as the parent group to help support that other endeavors as we continue to try to um work out graduation celebration type things because they have a different type of celebration going on for the students and i think they're doing a wonderful job and coming up with ideas to support each other so if you have some ideas you can drop them into us or drop them into um miss emily or miss fitz and we can figure out who is going to take on that what are the hours for the whole situation like rehearsal to end of celebration so we have rented all of the pavilions for the whole day um excuse me if i step out of turn mr sadiq but i'm thinking we're gonna have rehearsal sometime mid-morning and then graduation is going to be sometime late afternoon and then we'll have the park all the way until 8 30 when they close at sundown what does a handicap access look like for guests in the graduation ceremony itself great question miss upchurch you are studying that pretty carefully do you want to answer it otherwise i can sure um so we looked into how many handicapped spots there were you know close to pavilions right when you come in closer to the pines just throughout the park but we've also discussed bringing our golf cart our district golf cart over to the pines so that we can help to transport guests to the pavilion that they've reserved their spot in but certainly happy to discuss with anyone any you know particular questions or concerns about a family member or guest um to the graduation ceremony so if that doesn't quite answer your question feel free to reach out and we can discuss how we'll best accommodate getting everyone where they need to be safely what's the date and time of graduation so it is thank you susan thursday june 10th and then the rain dates are june 14th and 15th the time is still to be determined um we're going to base that a little bit on the responses to the stir the survey that the students fill out so um so for now we're gonna say late afternoon you're welcome will the train be running now that i cannot answer but since the park is open i'm gonna guess it is but i will ask that question becky are you hoping to ride the train is really my question um okay i'm gonna put this up here just so everybody can see it thank you susan i'm going to give another minute for questions and then we will wrap up so when we do communicate again with families about the the agenda for the day we'll find out like what will be available like if there because there's also like a snack bar there there's also other activities and things that are that are on the site and we'll find out which ones will be open and which ones people have access to and we'll also let people know about the food situation catered or lunch trucks etc i just wanted to add while people are asking about [Music] their questions that this is being recorded and it's going to be up on our website so if i know there's some people that couldn't be here tonight for this meeting so if you know of somebody who couldn't be here have them log on to this um this um oh my god event i call it i guess and then if they have if they have additional questions they can direct them to um any of the four of us and we'll get you the correct answer grant you're asking the million-dollar question are parents only allowed to watch from pavilions or can they be in the theater unfortunately the theater is not big enough to have additional guests um with all the graduates we can only provide um it could only be one guest and that felt deeply problematic to us to have only one guest given how families operate and so the event will be streamed in into all of the pavilions and so all of the families will have the same exact experience so yes that's a great question it's a really hard question and we don't love the answer to it but given the times it is what it is um becky is letting us know that the link will also be in the pgo newsletter this friday thank you very much becky thank you becky and if the train's running i'll go i'll ride with you back [Laughter] i'll put some thank yous up here this sounds great thank you shannon thank you kim okay so i'm gonna look at the youtube channel right now quickly and see if there's other questions coming in that we might be missing no becky is saying it's a date ms haygood in case you're wondering fabulous okay so thank you so very much i think you at this point know how to get a hold of us um if you are if you have additional questions um go ahead and reach out to us and we'll be in touch i'm going to put up some mess i'll put some more thank yous up here so folks can see them because those of us that are in the back room here can't see all of these so i think it's important to see thank you stacy it's good to see you shannon would like to ride the train too and yes congratulations tala this is all good this is good all right thank you so much enjoy your evening yeah thanks everybody take care thank you for joining us and thank you for congratulations take care

2021-04-13 Pima County, AZ YouTube / Ajo Unified School District transcript source: youtube April Study Session Board Meeting · passage 1
i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indeed that is next is a visitors comments visitors are welcome to speak on the gender and non-agenda items comments are limited to three minutes please state your name and address prior to making your comments please note that members of the board may not discuss items that are not specifically identified therefore action taken is limited to recording the administration to look into the matter responding to any criticism or scheduling the matter for further consideration is there anyone who wishes to speak hi my name is i reside at 351 east oreo avenue so i just wanted to point out two things that i have noticed as a student leader my fellow senior class peers have come to me with questions about graduation we all as a class have expressed our want for a traditional graduation ceremony of course with guideline coca guidelines but because of this i want to ask the school to do a survey on all the seniors and ask them one simple question do you wish to have your your graduation as a drive-through or as a sit-down ceremony seeing as i'm unable to ask my peers this question myself and bring me forward the results to you i ask that u.s school administrators complete the survey and i can promise the results will be an overwhelming first sit-down graduation ceremony i find the school should have no problem with this since we are in an in-person form of learning again and i have begun an extensive plan as to how we can achieve this sit-down graduation however i've been turned away or been told it's not my decision to make when i express my opinions and ask to be part of the planning well the top administrator in the district office who houses the power to make this decision seems to not check emails or respond to requests to meet and discuss this matter so ask you as the highest members of the chain of command on to take a look into this and take a look into this because the senior class deserves at least a traditional graduation commencement i would also like to address a problem i have noticed on campus with regards to mask learning i have come come into this very building multiple times and every time i come in the staff is not wearing their mask properly or full time i am seeing the same behavior in the school office i have heard concerns and been asked prior to the school reopening about the mass mandate and if it's really going to be enforced unfortunately the staff members are those who are not following their own rules the only people on campus i have actively seen not wear a mask even as people are entering their office or building is those that work here in the district office the students need staff me staff members to lead by examples and wear their masks properly and full time while on campus let's not forget that the state and county are meant to be mandating mask wearing while on campus grounds thank you thank you anyone else all right let's move right along uh next is uh informal uh informational items on in discussing the personnel items for the march regular board meetings we have a recommendation to employ a teacher um [Music] she's her acceptance letter that she's going to take position we will uh wait for the board to act on this on about uh um this is the same potential employee that we agreed to offer our contractions for you well at a recent board meeting or this is not the yeah approval for special um [Music] typical uscis guidelines amanda currently is a third grade student teacher with carolyn rodriguez mr then i introduced her last week we've watched her work with students and watched her work with online programs special um service during the spring uh intercession she's been on the agenda in march to be paid that she did submit the time sheet to me she worked 20 hours resignation effective last friday maria mendez um has been with us for about a year um we have um item number five is an issuance of uh giving more commissions for the classified employees class i employees will listen to the other along those items the sixth item is the award vote uh one responsibility uh agreements uh procedure connecting with personality you thank you the next daughter of business was there anyone who had any questions by the way okay next dollar business is the first reading review of the governing board policy changes the revision change see gcc8 professional support staff bereavement leave at president least this is the first time you've done this school district we have submitted to the arizona school board association and they have copyrighted this and sent back to us but to become effective it has to have board approval tonight as you will recall early in the year there was discussion at the uh board meeting about the policy on the reason we've stated that approaching received five days per year this was immediate what our practice had been and what we had in the working conditions i agree with both certified classified staff was that it was five days per uh for death for uh a family member i always admitted this to asba for their approval they've done that they've rewritten it but for it to be become in effect we have to have a first a reading which is what this is and then approval of some important name should be the agenda the symbol after gcch is the fact that asp is copyrighted and talking with them they they don't copyright all of the items that are rewritten by districts they only copyright them depending upon the change it was made and the key from what i was told was that the change cannot be opposed to state law or state statute or case law so changing the change that we're proposing obviously didn't change statute or case law and so it has aspas copyright approval and if the board wants to contend with that can i make one comment on this this is the one um [Music] thank you and the next thing is a review of email issues eric and at a frequent award meeting or some questions about i emailed uh issues that we had some time back and so the next morning i saw eric asking a few people [Music] i don't have it in my book are you put i just put it in your book so it's right before [Music] i skipped that as well i didn't think i had gcpd [Music] is basically a repetition of the policy i just shared it's almost perfect and that's the recommendation that if you have the same question i have it's an email from renee watson but we actually um unfortunately sorry that happened okay let me talk about gcq here support staff members again as mr robertson was mentioned during the working conditions uh examination and procedure staff has approved this for years long before my human policy is more restrictive than the other unified school district positions specifically we say in our working conditions that after four years a big employee if the person retires depending upon the number of days they've accrued particularly you're going to have and the sickly bank in essence what percent of the value that sick leave they can be paid as part of i'll use the term severance package it's not a separate package but it's the same principle um our policy says the person has to be here ten years to do that um again we send that to uh aspar you should have two you should have the um ccqe policy and you should have the one page i don't have any okay you didn't even see the page about email [Music] wasn't labeled as to which policy okay okay thank you yeah i was just looking for it in the wrong section i don't have it i can't help you the proposed policy that we had would be to allow teachers to continue what we have in working conditions which is four days of projects three or four years of employment before they officially retire not go to towson and have the same benefits at four years instead of waiting for what asba has recommended ten but it does say here that we can uh change it to our needs and not we don't have to be by whatever the state so for a long time our our policy gcqe has been in contact with the employee agreement just the bottom half of gcpe which sets up six weeks on retirement um the policy required ten years and also has different different percentages of pay and the agreement only requires four years and also the different numbers so the idea was to strike sickly payment upon request from gcqe so there's no confusion we don't have two policies that are meant to do the same thing but say different things well actually the school the staff gets better with our policy than they would be with the state correct and we and it says we can do that yes and the same was similar similar to the bereavement uh it's more beneficial to staff hopefully they never need that but unfortunately bad things happen but that would also give them the staff it's not just certified certified in classified in those conditions dr dooley and can we get a piece of paper or the next time instead of ten years and we'll have four years and figure out the percentage we can do that and we'll send it on to uh sba for their copyright policy last 10 but also the amounts are different right so what we're proposing is that we stick with the agreement that we have between the board the employees and the administration and strike entirely this section of gcqe that addresses the same situation with different numbers because it goes from a percentage the asba policy has a percentage that varies depending on the number of years and the employee working conditions has a set dollar amount for the number of days i think that's what i was just asking if you would next time before we do anything we need to have it written out so we can see what it is but it is written out this is this is it this is the agreement and that's what we are proposing to keep as it exists and strike the policy which the policy you should have there too this one this one is can i ask you if the board just agrees that this is what we'd like to try then this can be submitted to the asda we don't have to have a vote on it when we get christine copy back then all right okay so this you can submit this yeah so as marcia said that basically the what's in our working conditions agreement which is what we would be sticking with is a more generous package than what is in the actual policy okay i have a question but will that just replace the sick leave portion and we would leave the uh upper portion of the retirement within the program untouched we would only be messing with the people yeah because the upper part doesn't complement anything in the agreement it is something that a lot of schools have gotten rid of entirely because then they go and they negotiate their employees separately outside of this correct also when these policies were written districts are trying to get rid of high paid teachers more prospects that because there was an abundance that goes a long time all right is that finished so that we can review the email issues and if you um but honestly i'm not sure why we're having another discussion about this last meeting eric and i were tasked with coming up with a solution which we did and what we decided to try was to create dedicated gmail accounts for each board member that allow us to use the filters to use all the archiving tools um and i i thought that's what we were going to test at least i had a feeling after the discussion afterwards they thought there was [Music] you guys all get better messages checking and stuff so did you want me to think uh like me to make the account to all those so where we are just so everyone knows it's a generalized error and i did have a meeting he set up a couple accounts that he was going to i don't know if he could but he was going to ask that they'd be loaded into the district website as contact information yeah okay so that was supposed to be the next step that they've been loaded and we start using them um as sort of a test case um and i don't know if you do that do you do that part or update the website okay yeah okay so is there any expense to go to gmail from okay no and it's just much more user friendly we've just had honestly i know that we've been working on tabletop about this but we have so many problems over the years with it for two years this has been a problem um it's not user friendly at all i would like you to point something out especially if it's kind of like our auto schools which is through your inbox will only hold or show maximum i think it's i don't even remember if it's 50 or 60 and then to see the ones below that you have to delete these messages up above it or you create a folder and that folder will only show or hold up to like 50 60.

2021-04-13 Yavapai County, AZ YouTube / CVSchools AZ transcript source: youtube Chino Valley Unified School District Board Meeting - April 1… · passage 1
all the questions this morning good how are you 30 seconds good deal [Music] unfortunately absolutely perfect okay are like to call this meeting to order please and thank you for coming um stan please for the pledge of allegiance of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indivisible thank you at this time we would entertain emotion unless there's some discussion to adopt the agenda as presented hearing all right thank you mr livingston so the reason we have these public hearings before we have a budget amendment approved so we can get any feedback that might be concerned about our budget our operating budget we've got all our classroom site funds our main operating budget funded one our capital budget we've got all our grants it's all summarized in these little documents that we have here would anyone want some specific information at this moment if so i can mention it i'm just going to mention a few particular numbers and if there's anything you'd like me to address some particular alcohol actually not too okay so to keep this real straight real simple um we've got about 175 factors that go into our operating budget everything from student council to last year's pending cash balance that rolls forward to the amount of money we get for textbooks buses and any other capital items and it really comes down to what we can what we can do it comes down to how close we are correlated with this one little sheep the state department of education school finance unit puts together and it's called a budget 25 report and they simply look at those 175 factors there's big one there's 62 and as long as our budgets meet what they call the optimized budget potential in capital fund that's one million eight thousand eight hundred and sixty seven dollars in our operating fund it's 14 million five hundred and twelve thousand four hundred and forty six dollars so fourteen and fourteen that claim as long as all of our factors point to that number and then when we upload the budget that number is in our budget for capital and operations and the other budgets they're not quite so concerned about i think as daniel's here can testify that her numbers and her budgets are scrutinized even more than the budget of the operating fund would you say so we're not getting off easy just with these two budgets he works constantly with all of the sites to make that happen but this budget is primarily a reflection of this this page one and page two and those are our numbers our deadline to do this is may 15th so i like to do a july adoption for the year a december revision if necessary or march or april and then if we really need to do one in may we know exactly what little difference we have and this is a difference called this this is all we do we eliminate the differences i was going over that with mr o'connor today you see in uh our amount was 430 688 and that was based on our distance learning percentage so work with kathleen really closely at all the sites and thank you so much for all your data we have these numbers nailed down the 25th of march so we knew our differences to the penny back then and i had to run these two new reports for me so when we approve this it's not for the adoption it's just to prove it uh we'll be right on to the penny with our fund balances and our allocations and our awards and our expenditure limits and our revenue control limits that the state has for our population already adjusted for some students that stayed at home so that's really what it comes down to any any questions any questions from the public on this hearing entertaining motion please to hold the public hearing i'll make a motion to close the public care all in favor thank you item 6a um the alpha pi county education foundation grant update dominique arias hello thank you for having me on dominic arias from tech i'm a kindergarten teacher and i applied for a grant through yavapai county education foundation for chair pockets for the back of my students chairs due to covid we couldn't have community supplies like we usually do so the chair pockets allowed me to be able to differentiate student tools or crayons pencils and all things like that so they can keep their dreams to themselves and i'm grateful for that and i uh miss cox signed off for me and we've been using that and it's been successful that's it if you didn't have this how would you have done it um we just do like community supplies so we just put on the table and they share it which is good for them because they learn how to share but this is also good to learn how to keep the gym stuff thank you very much thank you very much foundation we came thank you madam chair and superintendent show i'm mike elligood i'm the current president of the ufi county education foundation and it's good to be back uh i feel like we have a kind of a subscription here every year we come up and we're delighted that we're able to support you with me here today is a colleague selena bliss and um i asked her to come today because we're starting something new this year as you as you're probably aware we stopped doing the future of the year program and we did that for a variety of reasons funding being primarily a very expensive thing to do and it was one shot in the dark and it went away we decided to emphasize our core mission of supporting the teachers but we also want to recognize educators throughout the yavapai county schools and selena put together this program uh to recognize educators in every one of our 102 campuses throughout the year by county and i know you all participated and the end product of that will be a journal published by president newspapers it will be delivered to every school every school district every school foundation with a picture of the educator of the year we didn't care by the way was a teacher or a school bus driver as long as that person had made some contribution to the success of the school so this is the program manager and fellaini you want to say a few words yeah i just thank you for this opportunity i'm new to the board i've got some big shoes to fill my mom taught at the school in 1971 through the late 70s and then was at dexter elementary dad taught at yavapai college for 27 years and i'm going on my 26th year at yavapai point being is i understand how important it is at the early years to capture our kids educate them and it does take a team a village to raise a child if you will so we're expanding our program that's why the tribute to educators we're sorry about the individual awards but we're hoping to capture a wider audience and make a larger effect and also share with the community the non-educators what we're doing here in yellow pike county so really pleased to be here and happy about what's going on and excited to mark your calendar the last monday of april is when this will come out it will be with the chino valley review as well thank you for having us thank you and i was supposed to take pictures but how am i supposed to do this if you're here and everybody's got a mask on yeah thank you and thank you for your good work thank you very much thank you yes we have our question here no questions can i ask you a question if i could sure peter is the process for submitting nominations for the teacher recognition program basically the same as the old teacher of the year program that was held every year or this could be a different process for the submissions well i can speak how we did it this time the word went out to the various schools and districts and they picked individuals within their programs and their districts who to nominate so it was done internally i can't speak to how it used to be because i've only been on this board a year well it used to be a big panel and we had reviews and all this kind of stuff and interviews it was a very complex amount of mess really and i think your assistant superintendent here who ran that program very successfully for many years can tell you what a complex operation it was we decided to turn this around we said the schools those campuses know who the people are that deserve recognition and we simply left it up to them any criteria you want so each district and choose their own criteria is what you're saying each school every school within the district within the schools and quite honestly we had some schools i think crown king it said basically there's only one of us and we only got one or two students so thanks but we don't need that right uh most of the schools i think we had 80 out of the 97 i think only two that didn't submit a name so we're pleased about the response a little supposed to see how it goes i would really you know mike and i our colleagues on a different thing and we can talk informally and peter i think you and i are the same profession you were the engineer for phoenix weren't you yeah i was the engineer for the county so you know so we're all clear here um you all can give us a very frank evaluation of how this program worked from your perspective and and we'll refine it for next year yeah this is new that cova just upset everything so we thought well we'll just start over from scratch and we're interested to hear how the feedback if you will so we can plan campaigns but thanks thanks for this opportunity and one other thing the classroom grant program has been so successful and we were able to get a little bit more money this year we're having another spring episode of it so we'll have two a year we hope hoping to keep item 6b the cvhs student council report this will be presented by emory rock hi i'm emory rock i'm the student body president here at china valley high school and i was asked to come and kind of give an overview of what we've done so far this year our first thing that we did this year was called extra extravaganza usually we do christmas candy cane grams but since we went here we couldn't do that um so the freshmen are in charge of this and they got to plan this and we got to see them be able to plan their first event which was pretty cool but they decided to do like an easter egg hunt kind of thing where they hid five eggs each lunch and they had hints in them and it would move into the next egg and it would have a letter in it and they had to fill out easter and then there was a winner for fourth lunch and for fifth lunch and so we had two winners and they both got 50 visa gift cards so that was pretty cool our up and coming events for may our big one is prom we got that approved and passed so we're able to do prom our venue is prescott of prescott vibes it's over by the airport and our dj is living energy the theme is sleepy hollow one of our juniors is planning at sabrina lopez and they capped the amount of people there for 350 including chaperones and teachers there and we did a senior pre-sale so the seniors could have the opportunity to buy their tickets first since it's kind of senior prom and we've got a few of the tickets money for tickets donated by the gina valley education foundation so kids that can't afford tickets but want to go that are seniors and juniors we're allowing them to come with tickets that we're donating and that day is may 8th from 8pm to p.m um some more activities our senior trip as a senior class we decided that we're going to go to sun splash and mesa on may 13th and it's 30 a ticket for kids so kids will pay that and we've also gotten money donated for kids that can't pay that 30 dollars that they would like to go and we're asking site council in the next little bit to help donate buses so their kids don't have to pay extra to cover the cost of buses we just got in our senior t-shirts they were a really big hit everyone loved them we got to do the 21 picture out on the football field last thursday so that was pretty cool after prom we do this thing called morph and it's prom spell backwards and it's for the sophomores and freshmen and they decided to do a color powder dance which we've done in the past and it's just kind of become a tradition we do it on the outside patio at the cafeteria and they kept it at 300 at 300 and we're opening up that whole patio there's more space there'll be 12 chaperones we're hoping and that'll be may 13th right after senior trip the night of senior trip from 6 to 9 pm and then towards the end of the year we have our memories and talent show where we do our memories video and recap of the year and have our talent show we're hoping we can get that in the gym if not we're going to do it on the football field and that's may 20th and then senior barbecue and field day the seniors just get to spend a day out on the field and we have activities and just for them to do to spend the day just as a last senior gather um and that's on may 20th or may 24th or the 25th depending on when we do the senior walk um when we walk in our camping rounds around the other schools which will either be may 24th or 20th but that's pretty much just what we've been working on lately questions that was pretty busy thank you thank you item 6c cte update um brian okay hello madam president and hogwarts i just wanted to talk briefly about our career and technical education program at the chino valley high school i know you guys are all pretty aware of what we have and what's going on a little bit but just want to elaborate a little bit and give some details with it all um first off career and technical education if you're not familiar with what it is um are your old school vocational wood shops coming to life with real purpose these days um we've got um 18 different programs 17 different programs available to all of our chino valley high school students we have eight full programs available on our campus and another 10 programs available at yavapai college each year with each of our graduating class the numbers always been right around 80 percent of our high school graduates of taking at least one year of a cte course and then about 65 of them have taken uh at least two years of a career in technical education course now the thing that really differentiates what the cte classes are now versus what they may have been um when i was a kid or maybe with some of you guys were kids was now they've got a lot of um technical standards tied to them you mean they're having to teach uh science behind it and how to teach safety behind them they're having to teach the kids uh professional employment skills behind them as well so they're trying to develop the kids as a well-rounded future employee for the workforce whether they're going to go directly into the workforce or if they want to take their their new knowledge and pursue that education further in college um so those are the two paths that we're really working with with the kids i'm going to give you guys um it's basically all the programs that we have listed for the district um you kind of take a look through those things those kind of new created advertisement flyers and it just basically gives all the rundowns about what kids can experience in the classroom what they can expect different careers they can develop into to kind of help draw the kids into this as well one of the great things about cte is there's a lot of grants available for it so right now uh career and technical education they really rely heavily on the schools uh developing lab space and instructional spaces that have um real time uh recent technology software equipment tools and really rely on us making sure the kids have a real experience with that so that can be very very costly and so we work with four different grants to help fund for all of those things the four grants helped pay for salaries travel for the kids for competition or leadership events help to pay for equipment we pay for certifications for the kids to take a certification at the end of the program to make sure they're getting something that's uh employable for them and one of the most often awesome things that we are able to do is do facility upgrades so we're able to invest into the building itself as long as it is specific towards the cte program to help develop it and make sure it's a standard of the industry so when the kids go in there it mimics an industry location the best that it possibly can one of our things we got yeah so we're wanting to build an sae barn as mr prieta said sae if you're not familiar with ag education is supervised agricultural experience this is the things that students are doing outside of the class time that is related to agriculture so this barn our vision is where kids could raise animals they might live in an hoa they might live in an apartment you can't raise a steer in an apartment right so they would be able to use this facility to raise their animal on site i would be supervising it they would take care of it do everything that is needed to raise a steer or goat or sheep whatever they want to raise but they would have the facilities to use at our location and then the agricultural mechanics department mr prairie was talking about would be used to service our equipment i teach an ag mechanics class currently we would you know be able to go through our equipment change oil fix repair whatever we needed to do with that facility over there so that's kind of our vision for those facilities and you know just to kind of iterate mr holder says you know you have a lot of kids in the community who really enjoy that kind of stuff but they just don't have the means and their own home maybe they do have property but they're not able to have livestock or animals they're there to raise and they really want this opportunity so through the barn it opens that up for them so they now have this opportunity to raise animal there and especially if they have a real interest in agriculture which is the purpose behind the agriculture education is to develop more you know more agriculture stewards for the for the country really not just for the state of arizona or not just for our community but to develop that that area and we believe that um i'm sure many of you would agree that you know we have a community that's probably very rich in agriculture backgrounds and a lot of history with it so we're hoping to really use that to maximize that and really bring back agricultural education here and really just capitalize on their ffa programming so it's a real excitement with that another thing to touch on briefly you know spoke uh just kind of about the agricultural history here in the area um as you guys are all probably familiar with the chino valley historical society so one of the things that this is i think in the uh consent agenda is the approval of an iga with the cheetah valley historic society and basically it's given them access to a portion of our farm to be able to come over there help to restore a couple of the buildings they've got we've got great plans hopefully someday it'll really be able to come to fruition but they've got great plans to restore a few of the buildings that we have and really to develop kind of a i'll say kind of a living history museum within there there's a lot of great equipment in there some of the facilities are really beautiful um so it's a lot of excitement right there and really hope and so we're partnering with them to create that opportunity for them to kind of enrich the agriculture history here in the china valley area and develop that further so would support fully the iga to be approved with them as well so that's hopefully that'll be passed um the other thing i wanted to talk about just briefly this is going to be a change of things a new addition to our programming for next school year is and i call it a career bridge one of the things that we're going to bring in and kind of infusing into the classrooms is exposing the kids a little bit we talk a lot about the education behind maybe drafting and design maybe we talk a lot about the food science to make sure you're cooking safely for families or maybe making sure that we're handling animals properly so we do a lot of the education about the career fields the next piece that i'm hoping that we're going to be infusing next year is what i call the career bridge the bridge to help them get into the job field the bridge to help them pursue college or a higher degree and so that's going to be a combination of many presentations throughout the year about colleges universities technical schools providing on-site mock interviews for the kids with business leaders partnering starting to develop a partnership with goodwill they've got a very big employment and career department for them so they're going to be doing some job mock interviews with us so that's exciting as well as well as introducing the kids into how to find real careers that are relevant to these fields right there so we'll be doing presentations with them as well to help develop you know their knowledge of how to get outside of chino valley if they wish to find the job that they really are trained for the jobs that they really are um uh i should say um equipped to handle so that's going to be an exciting addition for this upcoming school year but a lot of information a lot of great programs in there so uh for all the youth that you know in the area or parents please share that information with them and tell them to plug it along as much as possible yeah the barney is this similar to what you're lumke had kind of talked about doing some kind of art at one time right or was it totally different he had a lot of ideas he did he did have plans for a barn when he was the ag teacher here yeah same type of deal there was an sae barn for these students that don't really have the facilities to raise animals where they could raise animals and i think really that's what the coopers wanted to see that utilized for they you know were real big supporters of ag education and they i mean they made it so that we have to keep it a working farm right so they they really have a servant's heart giving back to these students and i think they would really love to see something like that these pockets are really cool you guys yeah they're super exciting i think about the stuff that we offer i think it's really great yeah eventually we'll have these developed with our pictures of our own kids and all that but uh you know for now we got to start somewhere yeah i'm going to be reading this carefully but any other questions can we make it to cte i have a question yes um first of all isn't is the ffa still selling tickets yes ma'am right okay perfect i might have them in my truck they're selling tickets for a beef wrap the reason i didn't ask a question because i was fighting my time not to ask about churro lamb i can't see you by your tongue between them well we've got some suffix over there if you that would make you happy with some suffix lambs now no i actually i remember because i bought it i signed excited worst thing i've ever had in my life i'm sorry i was trying very hard to stick with beef thank you guys yes i'm sorry um i have another question too yeah do these kids have the opportunity to like work study kinds of programs then is that presented to them so is that kind of an old hat no it's not it's not um so ultimately yes we do have a work study program that the kids are able to take advantage of at the high school however it's more so you work in x amount of hours no matter what it is you're going to get a little bit of school credit with it the career bridge is going to have something to do with that so i think that's a good segue into what i did miss was our job shadowing pieces right there we are setting up a lot of job shadowing experiences with the kids so that they can get into some of these businesses and spend time observing these things and the goal with that is for those kids to um do that job shadowing is this the field i really want to be in i mean it might be a extremely small niche of the agriculture world but there's you know whole other side of it they may say this side differently is not for me um so we're hoping to develop it further but we are able to build those partnerships where they are taking our kids in for employment but one step at a time with it all excellent thank you thank you yes sir just a quick question i'm curious is that barn going to be able to house what 10 animals or 100 animals good question they'll be able to house 16 steers so you can pretty much double that for sheep so there will be there will be 16 12 by 12 stalls 12 by 12 stalls plenty big enough for a steer to live in and then for sheep or goats you could double that for that size of stall excellent thank you goodness item 16 superintendents first court mr soul please there is a summary on your at your seat of the superintendent report a couple couple things or i guess several um enrollment as of yesterday the district's hundred day was 20 or 2060 and a little over a half 0.65 this is down just under 153 atm compared to last year's 100th day and our 100th day was march 2nd so these are numbers that ultimately john will have to put into the budget to create the numbers that he was talking about earlier but we are down i was at heritage this afternoon and what we're experiencing really sick heritage i think in other schools kids are starting to trickle back we've been getting kids back from other charter schools in the area from online schools that just now that we're in person um families are deciding to send their kids back to school and we're seeing that trickle effect coming in we don't get credit for those kids this year but it's important that we keep them so that we have those kids when we start day one in august so that's a good sign i'm thankful for that i'm thankful that families are having trust in us and bringing those kids back to us and so that's that's a good good feeling and i appreciate that any questions on enrollment esser update if you're not familiar with esser this is the elementary and secondary um school emergency relief fund that's certified we have three essers there was the original esr that's now called this or one then we had sr2 and then now we have sr3 so sr1 was something that happened uh not it was last summer maybe a little bit earlier than that last spring sr-1 was a fund with the cares act if you compared to the tears act it was part of the tears act where um schools got um money to help them with code related items uh for us we got 436 just over 436 thousand dollars it what we did with it was we bought some chrome devices chromebooks um we also paid for edge annuity which is the online distance learning program that we use for high school and middle school kids we also purchased chrome tablets that we handed out and accessories like a tripod and microphones and some other things that we handed out to our staff members that helped them with distance learning and he when we were we were in distance running and we also bought a school bus with the night so um uh sr01 is pretty much spent and if it hasn't been spent already things have already been ordered like the bus takes a while so it's been ordered we have until december of 2022 to spend that money so it's it's not an issue to be able to spend that it's been identified what we're going to spend it on just a matter of ordering getting things in most of it has been got received except for the bus is the big one then we have sr2 our sr2 is what we're working on now we found out this afternoon that it was approved um we cindy is putting all the input in and she thought it was approved though the weekend this morning but we heard formally that we have been approved uh and it's something that as recently as last week i think is when cindy was working on it and things like that so it's it's relatively new um what we are using the sr2 money for is a day porter for three years this current year and two additional years this is somebody that can an additional person to help us sanitize facilities and things like that we also are three years this year in the next two years with a health aide the health aide actually is going to is act territorial and that freed up our nurse to come to the district office to to work on cobra related items and also general staff and student help and so that's been very good to have her she's been busy lately with contact tracing and we'll talk about that during copenh update but so that's freed her up to come to the district office and focus on on more district-wide initiatives rather than taking care of the day-to-day needs of the kids at tech where she was stationed at and that's being held now by the health aide we have this year you authorized temporary staff to help with um it was a lot of daycare for staff daycare for the kids when we were distance learning we had to have a place for kids to come and that was the the uh we called them casa mentors we had a position that we just kind of expanded that and so that temporary those temporary personnel will be covered out of sr2 we also have um and i saw the nurse come out of cindy's office talking about the hub the health office equipment she was so excited so there's some vision screeners and some hearing screeners that the ones that we have now are fairly antiquated and so this will be good for our kids we can get our kids screened much more easy with this equipment we have smart boards some smart boards some chrome devices some purchases over um at least the next three years we have another bus so we can buy it we're buying another bus with this money and uh covering some teachers salaries um and that's what's really going to allow us to do some of the raises that we're going to talk about later is taking those funds out of mno by covering in esser allows us to to put money and well a few things uh cover any loss of enrollment as well as um help out with um increases to staffs uh compensation so that's sr2 yes sir um is any thought that we put into how after october 2023 those teachers salaries will be sustained yes so part of the conversation that i've had with cindy and john is we need to come up with a plan on transitioning those into back into emino eventually in the next actually the next three and a half years because we also have sr3 that extend through 2024.

2021-04-13 Pima County, AZ YouTube / Continental School District CESD39 transcript source: youtube April 12, 2021 Governing Board Meeting. · passage 1
yeah so as a matter of fact you know what well well i've got him here here's your point of contact her name is sarah and her number okay so we'll reach out tomorrow um yes sir all right of the united states of america and to be republican to stand one nation god indivisible with liberty and justice for all thank you sir so moved check it on the second discussion yes thank you okay you do not have anyone on the line call the republic okay superintendent information report please again this is information only and uh there are no questions to be asked i believe we're gonna start with preschool first okay is it okay because i know that um is taking a class that's starting at six that she's gonna attend yeah i'm doing a community of practice on um with steam with stem education and it start at six and they're doing a marble roller coaster so i said i'm gonna be late but i'll do that so it's all these online experiences that we're eligible to do this year because of comments so it's nice um okay so i just um wanted to update you on what's going on with the preschool and basically you know we're in the same boat as everybody else so we're social distancing we are wearing masks most of our children wear masks i think we have one child that really has a hard time with it but most of them are wearing them we have all of their basic supplies like for example sand and water and dramatic play they each have a shoe box for each one so each have a water shoe box they have a sand shoe box they're plastic of course they have a dramatic clay one they have a lego one so we have all these different materials for each child it's a lot of management materials we also have a lot less children this year because of the social differences so in our full-time room well i'm going to get to that but um we are we're doing it and we're making it work so it's been an interesting year this is our mission statement which we did not change this year but it's basically we're part of the school district but we also are focusing on young child you can change um so our current numbers right now we have 27 children on campus and we have 12 that are still virtual i'm doing a zoom every day for half an hour and i have 12 children that attend that regularly plus our children who are in the classrooms are going to that as well um it's a sort of a model where they're playing along while i'm teaching along so we'll do things like um i'll read a book and then we'll do practicing our writing and they'll get out their notebooks and they're writing and they're holding up their their answers so i can see them we have another time with math and they have their dry erase boards and they're doing their you know they're writing their numbers and they're using their play-doh to make like today with six teams they made 16 cookies at play-doh and it's very interactive then we do a show-and-tell time which is their favorite and those kids at home are actually linked with the kids who are on campus so they're able to see the show and tell items it's it's very it's very delightful and one time a child was just just a side note a child was pretending to talk and i said uh armando i can't hear you you know i think your microphone's off and his mom's like he's just pretending so this little four-year-old is like basically you know anyways it was kind of fun um so we do have children on campus and off campus we still have about 16 of our kids our special needs and i'll get into what kind of special needs admit that we have that's in my class which is an inclusion room which runs three days a week i have a morning class which is younger children and an afternoon class which is older children going to kindergarten then online we have mostly you can just see that number's there go ahead and go on the next one um so we have 16 categories of special ed and 16 of those kids 16 out of 16 get speech language therapy currently that's virtual so we have a computer set up with a with a chromebook and the children sit and do their speech with with miss viasteros at her home it's one and one at a time the kids are kept engaged and they're having they're actually making a lot of progress occupational therapy is coming in they do some inclusion so they work with them in the classroom they also pull them out into my office one child receives physical therapy and does a lot with the teachers to help us find the right materials for the children and what kind of study we have three children who have identified as autism we have one child who is hearing impaired we do have one child who's visually impaired just started with us and two of the students are open enrolled okay so the next one it currently costs 150 a week for parents to pay if they are their special education of course they're not paying for the time that they're here part-time sessions are still 25 a day which is three hours we have two three and five days uh schedules we're not doing after school care this week this year because of cohort mixing but it was fifty dollars per week and we just charged the same rate whether it's an early dismissal week or not um special kids do that yeah we do use uh department of economic security to help pay for our services and they have actually been a very major funder for us this year they provide grant opportunities which probably kept us afloat so even though we only have a very small number of children three or four children who are getting that support we've gotten quite a bit of support from them this year so it's really something that's it's a good thing that we did that and then registration piece okay this is our financial information as of april 5th so this was our revenue in 2019 and compared to now so you can see it's quite a bit less our expenditures are also less because some of our staff are still on furlough we're currently on a really bare bones kind of number of staff members just myself and three other individuals we normally have seven or eight people working in the preschool but we've just managed to trim back as much as we possibly can because we realize we're you know really working with a much smaller amount of revenue this year almost everything that we make we use on on our staff the preschool pays for the staff salaries except for my salary which comes out of mno because i'm also the special special education teacher for preschool and the director we did have a nice carry over thirty thousand dollars this year which really helped us out too that's just open enrollment keep going this is kind of what they do all day which is you know basic preschool stuff we keep them really busy it looks different than it did last year but really it's very much the same we do allow the children to interact but we encourage them to wear masks as much as possible but we don't make them stay like in little rows with their you know that's just not possible with freeze points you can go ahead and go to the next one so this is kind of the staff we have so far i've been in the district since 1990 um my co-lead who is uh who's worked with me she's working for 14 years and then i have two other parapros who worked for me six years each the other positions have been one of them was furlough two of them were furloughed and one person resigned in january and we did not replace her we just decided to make do as best we could with what we have quite internally we do a lot of training on site as you know i'm my doctorate in education so i do a lot of training with my staff we also have to participate in a lot of things from des and other places the community practice like i'm doing one tonight there are many of those through first things first arizona and so we're able to participate in these educational opportunities i'm participating in four of them this year um which is a lot but since it's online you know you're not driving phoenix so i'm doing one i did one which was a director's institute so every month i had um well actually that one was weekly you had an assignment from university of florida online um went through all the different things we got to learn everything we possibly wanted to learn about preschool revenue which was very depressing and a lot of other things too so i got to do that one and network with directors from all over the state which was really cool i'm doing a stem one then there's also one with make way for books that i'm doing which is an advanced course on children's literature that we use in the classroom and they provide books to our children both for in the classroom for the kids to check out and they even give us a couple books a year for the children to take home because i participate in that also our staff some of our staff are doing a resiliency community practice which is pretty cool they meet once a month um and also there's one on uh basically the basics of child development which i was actually a speaker for that class and i participated as well that's monthly too so four of us are doing that one so we have we're really engaged as a staff in education we do a book group every year and we work on it each month so that's something too we're always doing our training we have to have at least 18 hours a year so that's never a problem because we get started so the reason i'm coming to you is that we really need to raise our tuition we've had the same tuition rate for a really long time i'm comfortable in the community so los nios del bay and shepherd's gold preschool are the two in green valley they're both at 170 we're still 150.
