i'd like to thank god and my family friends and just previous coaches for uh supporting me and just making me the player i am perfect timing as we come up for the second down and 13 for east alton going to be a pass play left side nearly gets to be a sack quarterback has to get rid of it throws it to the ground contested on the play there was maulding and little number 65 for the eagles was in the backfield in a hurry owen brewer the junior i believe yeah i looked on this thing earlier we don't even have the what grade they're in our rosters we'll have to make a request third and 13 now 10 minutes 40 seconds remaining in the first half coach horner this year taking over as a.d and or last year rather a.d and football coach will mention a couple people here in the future being both of those he's got a lot on his plate so a little miss q here in there is okay a little flare screen to the outside going to be sniffed out and tackled by two eagles wibbs and london to bring up a fourth down and nine like i said we'll be talking a little bit later about everybody who makes this possible coach warner says he's got it pretty easy you know he's just got a group of guys that know what to do and they take care of work and he shows up on friday and everything's done for him so if he forgets to put the grades on the sheet that's okay this year we'll get them next year looks like they're in pump formation here running little standing at about the 50 yard line and this punt is either tipped or shanked [Music] but it was about a 10 yard punt it ends up uh as and looks like the eagles are going to take over around the 30 yard line so 12 yards great start here uh for the eagles offense they don't got to go too far to get reached the end zone honestly i don't think the chains moved i think they just re-tightened them looks like vaguely in it quarterback now doubles to the left trips to the right [Music] reverts again all works might as well they're doing man-to-man once again it's going to be a quarterback scramble up the middle and a little bit of a draw once again though not too many uh the linemen there looked like he was in the middle of the hole there dahmering into the back of him but that's good for eight yards i did also talk with coach germain this week and they said they integrated a new uh offensive set that we might see a little later on with london little running a little quarterback maybe wildcat action so maybe we'll see that a little later same play once again dom's gonna get enough for a first down good for four was telling me about that this week too saying how london was going to be back there he goes they got a funny name for it i just can't think of it i go you're talking about a wild cat yeah that's it he thought it had something to do with london same formation three down lineman two linebackers and we verts up the middle he's got two train across the middle and he was about a second late if he would have got rid of that ball right now i think we have another touchdown knocked down good enough pass though to where nobody else could get it but the receiver uh safety came over and made a good leap for it but it was really high so nobody could really get to it but great job to throw it out of the quarterback's reach two train off schrader on tight end for the eagles to the right side we're going to run it to the right side with mcconaughey he's going to dance around get four and bring up a manageable third down and six but once again columbia needs to work on running up the attack through the tackles again four yards on the play tackle by number six josh franklin brings up third down and six [Applause] columbia's just gonna flip the formation whip it tight end four down lineman two linebackers we're gonna fake the handoff dom's gonna keep it he's gonna try to get to the outside he's gonna get spun around to go back to the inside runs into a lineman once again [Applause] but that's good for columbia eagles first down get out of the way big uglies it's like tetris what is it pinball out there he's bouncing around seven yards first down for the eagles can he beat him we'll see if we can score a touchdown here if we can go down the same horner and talk to him and see what's been going down on the sidelines first down and goal turn around hand the ball off nope we're going to fake it we got a man open schrader schrader in for columbia eagles touchdown [Music] get you some action there big guy that his first touchdown of the year i believe i believe so that's not something that you get those pullbacks in the in the ball too much east alton loads the right side we're gonna have to move a man over to account for all of that good snap good hold kick is up and it is good [Music] we've got sam horner down on the field once again sam eagle starting real quick up 21-0 they having some fun down there tonight [Applause] yeah i'm sorry about that little technical thing but yeah i am it's great it's great atmosphere down here tonight good deal i like how you're staying far enough away from all the coaches you're you're staying far enough away but you're getting into the action when you need to as well what are some things that you're seeing down there that you know they always say the game's a lot easier whenever you're not into the game are you seeing some things that you wish you would have saw as a player in previous years you know i it they look good out there i think they're listening to coach warner talk on the sideline and they're putting a bunch of different looks at us defensively and i think they're doing a good job of you know auto bowling and cons and plays on the fly so i think if they're able to keep that up they'll be in good shape good deal uh looks like wibb here he learned a thing or two from you in years past and me and j-rod as he sends this ball deep and i don't think they're going to return this one is they're not i think you uh you perfected getting the touchbacks and wibbs picked up right where you left off and i guess you picked up where jared left off huh yeah uh that's a special kid man i i had the luxury of having him under my wing um you know coming up through freshman year sophomore junior senior year so i mean that kid's got a strong leg i'm not sure if i ever quite reached the touch back um as much as whibby does but you know i think he's doing a phenomenal job out here and if you i feel like if he wants i know he's playing baseball at swic but which is awesome for him but i think if he wanted a career somewhere to go kick in college i think he'd be great do you want to do the play-by-play on this play here i can yeah i mean go for it you got it all right i'm new to this so don't give me any uh one to the right here column mclaren great pursuit right there coming down with the tackle that kid i've seen a lot from that kid in the past two years i'll tell you what the great that that kid has you know being able to split time with with dominic vaguely i think it's it's huge for him to be able to do that and accept that role and i think he's even phenomenal a more phenomenal job on defense because he's a hard hitter man i think he'll really get his nose in there yeah he runs downhill pretty hard and then he had two train all of our defensive backs this year they're flying through the alleys and at one time i think dominic vaguely was leading the team in tackles so not something that you want out of a safety but if he's gonna make the play let him go make the play exactly yeah man as long as they're staying disciplined back there and doing their job they'll have a very successful night four down linemen three linebackers they're going to try to run up the middle they're not going to get anything once again big tackle there looked like colin berger i believe owen brown i think it was owen brewer yeah that's another kid who didn't play much last year but it's phenomenal i think it's really stepped up and kenningstein's down there as well the sophomore gonna be fun seeing him grow up too so we're under seven minutes here in the second quarter we'll come back to you ahead halftime sounds good all right thanks sam third down in seven this time for the warrior oilers sorry ball at their own 23-yard line doubles this time to the left sending the man in motion they're going to try the stretch to the outside we lose contain the ring back's going to get a first down by about a yard as he gains eight and that's enough to get them a fresh set of downs watch the film last week with coach germain freeburg did not have a first down until halfway through the second quarter and i believe that just happened here i don't think uh e sultan's had a first down tonight until right there [Applause] coach she's always ready to play always got his defense ready it's always great to see especially on a night like this whenever you want your guys not to play down to this team's level um and they're coming out ready to play and it's it's awesome to see motion man is number 35 they're going to run a counter to the left side not going to be able to get anything out of it as looks like big number 77 mason kohlenberger i watched him on that play i think we're going to keep collin berger to that tight end and wing back side if you watch them they kind of start in the middle of the field and then they kind of move around wherever east alton lines up you got two big horses in the middle with kenningstein and kohlenberger they can clog a lot of holes up in a hurry brewer to the right side this time with kenningstein mclaren up looking like he will blitz so do the rest of linebackers and east is alton's to call a timeout with that easton andrews and kyle jackson are next to seniors to thank on senior night kyle jackson number 54 and thank for my parents and all my coaches all my previous coaches through blue jays and up easton andrews number 70 and i'd like to thank my family and all my previous coaches and coaches now that have pushed me to be the best football player i can be welcome back to the columbia multi-purpose field for week five action against the three-in-one eagles and 0-4 east salton wood river oilers columbia leads it 21-0 second down in 10 for east salton going to be a quick slant route to number five and it's gonna be picked off once again andrew malding with a snag through the hands of number five and andrew malding the conference leader in turnovers the team leader in turnovers with his fourth interception on the season i don't know how he came up with that one that would that one probably would have hit me square in the nose but great job of uh maulding of staying aware there ball went right through the receiver's hands and um ended up in his and he comes away with an interception first down and ten we're going to fake the bubble we're going to take a shot to london it's going to be a little underthrown high pointed by london but falls incomplete a little under throne yeah let that ball go down i'd like to let the pair of snow of the color guard and the van that need to report down to the inflatable helmet london had to slow down a little bit when he got to about the 20-yard line but it's nice when you're a quarterback i'm sure you had a guy or two that could just run by anybody and it's nice when you have a receiver like that to where um you can just throw it as far as you as far as you want and either they're going to get it or nobody else's kind of key tries going up the middle and he had to stretch it to the outside i think he should have just kept going up the middle there and he already got a couple extra yards but with that little step to the left he actually lost a yard on the step to the left and it'll be a third down to nine i had eric reed who outran my arm i'm not saying i had a strong arm that kid was just quick and then i had stephen york same way quick had sure hands up too so that was he was my third down receiver if i needed mr reliable huh yep i needed to catch i was going to york trips to the right side heart count for the eagles and they get all three of the linemen to bring up a third down and four [Applause] that's something we've seen over uh the first couple weeks we saw whenever we would run those plays we we would jump off sides a couple a couple times and uh the first couple weeks so it's nice to see um us not jump offsides and um to stay disciplined and coach horner's done a great job with his team um and keeping them disciplined throughout the year um whenever this year has been much a much shorter year and all out of whack dom going to be on the quarterback draw he's going to get to the outside gets a big block from mcconaughey and he makes one man miss and he's going to get into the endzone touchdown dominic vaguely [Applause] now he kind of got stuck in the pile there for a little bit and then he just came running out of there with the ball and from about the 15-yard line he was he was gone nobody was going to catch him great job by uh the sophomore vaguely to reach the end zone almost gets lost there man goes untouched number one nearly gets a block but it goes through colombia leads it 28-0 we will send it to a break and we will be back for the final four minutes and five seconds of the first half from columbia [Applause] [Music] whibby's gonna send it deep and it will be returnable from the one and a half yard line where the east salt noilers are going to go to the left side going to have good contain now it's just going to be chasing them down which the eagles do goes to the one yard line returned out to the near the 25.
let's see what a punt by mr christopher john booming punt and spartans everybody's going to wait to touch this and then the referee is going to break up the staring contest how about that 65 yards is definitely longer than i could punt how about you yeah give him a run for his money yeah fair don't get cocky now cj [Music] and they're gonna back up longmeadow more so devon i'm gonna he's not afraid to use the whistles tonight no devin i'm gonna steal your comment from last series with a three and out here spartans have been some very good field position two minutes and 30 seconds remaining in the first quarter of tonight's action and 14-6 is our score referee's still hashing something out with i'm assuming head coach tanner williams who's in his first year at longmeadow high school blocking the back by both sides offsetting first down and ten long metal from their own ten-yard line now how does mr macarini get all these calls from the referees because we are sitting directly below him and honestly i have no idea what's going on yeah it is pretty impressive i think it's just because he knows the game he was quite the player at eastern middle high school you know he averaged nine yards of carry i didn't you know that's pretty impressive he's not that imposing of a figure no that's impossible [Music] very humble second and it's killing me [Music] coach marcino trying to rally up the troops here firing him up kind of fired me up i'm not gonna lie and so now to give a few moves made and eventually a tackle spartan defense coming alive with the tackle under two minutes ago wind picking up and it's i believe we are experiencing sleet now i always gotta have a special weather report but devon stole my thunder so pun intended and a round and eventually a gang tackle but i believe longmeadow will have enough for the first down i believe that was a six yard pickup first down carry by xylo oh does i look is that the right name yeah we've been saying it wrong all right so i look we got it we got it down now first and ten for the lancers happy to have all of our listeners tuning in at home i don't blame you for not coming out in this weather but big gain there for long meadow close to the marker let's see if they give it to him now we're under a minute to go number 20 second down [Applause] [Music] spartans trying to gain some momentum before a quick side switch for the second quarter and hoffman give i believe that's tallickson and he's got plenty for the first down closing in this is likely the last play and it's a give to the outside flag on the play and a big stick by preston longo to end the quarter we'll see what the flag does but we are very happy with that mike very happy with that and i believe this one's gonna come back even more as the first quarter concludes clock reads 0.0 signaling the end of the first quarter spartans trail by 8.
and it will be a first down for the oilers let us know where you were listening from just had one listener say they are down at the lake listening in [Applause] aces wild has the game streaming as well we've seen california we've seen there's the meadow clan from willisville [Applause] fort myers i believe i saw california and alabama maybe too usually a colorado one on there every week too [Applause] hand the ball off this time to the running back who's gonna try to go to the left side look like just a zone play there and gain three yards [Applause] howie buddy and sharky got their uh their work cut out for them tonight watching the running back and trying to figure out who's making the tackles because there's just a pile it seems like on every play and that's something coach germain has enforced his whole career here at getting getting hats to the football that's the uh that's the best thing um that you can ask for as a defensive coach get as many hats to the ball as you can and um just making plays the beavers are listening from dekalb illinois where donovan is a football player for northern illinois correct [Applause] the 2019 the ball off this time going to get a stretch play to the right side going to be good for a first down as the running back had a full head of steam caught by number 52 poultry and brought down after a first down was gained three minutes remaining just under three minutes rather in the first half we will have more senior night at halftime i believe the band gets honored at half columbia going to have four down linemen three linebackers sending a man in motion is mclaren it's going to be a counter to the right side tripped up maybe by his own feet as a running back and he gains six yards looks like you saw more rivers just gonna keep running the ball here what do we have two interceptions already on tonight how to pick six and maulding with a great awareness on that last interception so looks like he saw him with rivers just gonna try to get to halftime with a four touchdown deficit and just let this clock keep running 201 remaining in the first half second down and four try to stretch the ball left side just a zone maybe a trap if that good for two maybe three and brings up a third down and one some of the student sections starting to walk around now this little uh dust powder thing whatever they threw like you had said it was a whiteout threw up some blue powder they've got it in their hair their shirts are all messed up pretty sweet looking deal i wish i would have remembered that yeah i totally forgot about it third down in one would love for some people to make some noise on this place so in the future if you're at the games make some noise on third down hand the ball off up the middle it's going to be stuffed loss of two that kullenberger was there first [Applause] time out here time out coach horner you know he's going to take his shot yep he wants that 40 point lead third down and one at midfield the defense walks off the field london still isn't even in the huddle yet have i mentioned how nuts that drives me oh i know you say that oh man fourth down and two what are you gonna do here i mean uh you're on the defensive side of the ball so i think you you just blitz as many guys as you can they've been running the ball a lot on this drive so um most likely not going to put it in the air but if you're east saltwood river i'm putting the ball away here i'm not giving columbia the ball right at midfield i'm pinning them as far back as i can and letting them go a full 80 to 90 yards to score a touchdown in almost under a minute so if i'm in solidwood river i'm definitely punting the ball away but we'll see what they have to do here we'll see what they're going to do second down or fourth down and two rather from their own 45-yard line i think they're gonna go for it questionable call if he gets it he's a smart man they're gonna hand the ball off to the right side they're gonna get it they needed two they got two and a half and that's good for an oilers first down see there if you trust your own trust your offensive line to get two yards i mean which a lot of offenses do and a lot of coaches do um but their their their run hasn't really been too much of a problem for the eagles tonight um but they were able to pick up a two and a half yard gain pick up a first down with just under 45 seconds to go in this first half doubles to the left side tight end right wing back right going to look for the deep ball to the left side they got molding to contest with and they're going to catch it because he's going to fall down the catch malding was there but a good catch by east alton gets in the first down and down to the 22 yard line they still have all three timeouts they're going to burn one right here with 32 seconds yeah so they still got um they're not inside the red zone yet they're about the 22 yard line with two timeouts to go after this one but um all they did there was throw the ball up and maulding uh was almost almost made the play but great catch by the salton wood river once again to mizzou go tigers happy 19th birthday [Applause] from the boys in the box is it 19 or are they 20.
you're watching spartan football live on lcat we have a we have a color commentator viewing at home connor burks happy to have you tuned into our broadcast connor how are you he's doing well is he yeah he got his second shot today so he's having a great day connor thank you for tuning in connor and we have a quiz to do later tonight so i will see you for that is not enjoyable no not on a friday night what class do yeah not my favorite thing in the world but you know right yes yes um i got that lined up in the fall i may have to tap into your knowledge you'll be topping you know like when you tap something hollow that would probably be no there's not much i i mean it's a lot it's a lot to learn i obviously know what's being discussed but the logistical parts of it sometimes when we get very specific who knows that does not fire me up you know i'm struggling in the class myself i'm grinding there you go it's a grind but you know welcome to college sure so devin how about this song it's a great choice did we get a text from mr burks yeah he just said hi hello connor tell kyle i say hello tell him that he better be prepared for practice tomorrow for the powerhouse team um i wish him the best of luck with that game a lot of alum tuning in tonight wes maurer the big center for east long meadow definitely miss him on that line man yeah tuning in wes hello how about that that song is just sometimes it's just perfect i mean i would like it to be a little warmer yeah but you know we're making the most of the situation amen to that and it's crazy to see snow on the ground this morning yeah i got really discouraged i want to play golf tomorrow and i was like no this is not what you want to see when you're where were you where are you trying to play rolling meadows so maybe we'll see it might be wet but anyways the give up the middle for a few yards remind you it's it was first in 22 before that play so the give good for a small chunk i'm gonna say two check on the play by seventy-five garrett donahue hosts the defense garrett donahue making the play there i believe a sophomore maybe a freshman even second down in 19 fortunately i was off yeah no spartans have a ton of young players on this team you could also look he's a freshman confirmed and give this time it's gonna be a third in a very long spartans defense coming alive here in quarter number two it's almost like that song fired him up mike yeah no yeah yes correct tackle by 70 jack kelsey dc 54 nick ferguson is jack calcidc billy kelso dc's brother yes it's a you know what i got something nothing gets by your family yeah all-american goal yeah for a brother texas tech rodeo there you go d on rodeo hoffman will take it himself he's got a burst of speed out to the left and colin hoffman on third down and long he's gonna go all the way touchdown lancers i mean you know you put in so much third and long and then the quarterback just does that to you that's demoralizing and it's now a two score game having in the previous drive too where spartans had him on the fourth down and fortunately gave up a touchdown so um 20-6 is now the score lancers are set to kick will be jack gavir trying to make it a 15 point game [Music] and that one wide so it remains a 14 point game which helps as we remind you spartans two-point attempt was no good whether it was intended or not so a little less pressure now devin i'm wondering if the spartans are gonna have a quarterback change um i've been seeing some action on the sideline becker by mr becker so uh i don't know yeah they were definitely alternating like every two drives against miniature they were indeed so we will see if it holds true a lot of viewers tuning in the lcat story must have been a hit um also if you are tuning in to us loyally instead of watching the bruins we appreciate your viewership score 0-0 closing in on the end of the first period with the new york islanders who are at the top of the division islanders got their way but taylor hall how about that former heart trophy winner in boston we'll see i love that trade other boston sports news former number two pick jabari parker joining the celtics uh he kind of fell off a cliff he was in the joel embiid andrew wiggins draft um and he's now going to be a celtic i believe that was what year was that 2015.
i thought they were 19. i think they're only 19. they graduated last year doubles the left side tied in right wing back right running back to the left gonna be another pass play they're looking for the wheel route london got that london he's in the right spot yeah if his arms would have been about eight foot in his leg might have been about eight foot he might have stayed in bounds as the ball nearly hits the track i've seen a play where a guy jumped out of bounds while he was inbounds and tipped the ball back in threw it back yeah and then and then his teammate that was standing so it was an interception i wonder if that would that would count i mean they counted it high school football i think it should count you know we laugh about that play there but that's actually a really good play on east alton's part there's a quarterback you have a chance at scoring don't do anything stupid if he's not there throw it out of bounds and he did he threw it to the track that's what you won as a coach motion man's number 35 or they're gonna go counter up the middle and it's gonna be caught by owen brewer i think he was just there and he didn't have an option he had to hold on to the guy and he was getting hit so that brings up a third down and nine and east alton will go to another timeout once again as we mentioned mr reiterski's final game final home game at chs for the football team he's always got the band ready to go there in state competition [Music] columbia kid in the past 20 20 to 25 years however long he's been here has uh learned how to play the recorder for mr raterski so congratulations mr i turski on a great career and enjoy retirement that was a false start going to be a pass to the right side they're looking for the end zone there's gonna be three eagles and two oilers tipped up in the air and it's gonna be caught by east alton number five wow i think they bounced off one of our helmets as high as that ball that ball went straight up in the air great great job by the oiler they're sticking with it yeah being aware of what's going on around him i mean there was you had london little maulding bryce hildebrand and then you had two receivers that were so you had five guys going for that ball and the ball went straight up in the air and one east altman river receiver was um aware and saw it floating in the air and said i'm gonna i'll take that i'll take six so east alton will come out and they will go for two here on the play based on their scores of scoring six and twelve points i guess they do not have a kicker doubles to the left side tight end right wing back right goes in motion to the left side they're going to run to the left side going to be just a quick slant where it will fall incomplete so columbia leads it 28-6 11 seconds to go in the first half both of our scores are still on we're on we're on pace yep we will go to break as we will have senior night for the band at halftime welcome back to the multi-purpose field where east alton is going to kick it deep and it will go out of bounds at the 28-yard line so columbia will take over at the 35-yard line in high school so columbia's gonna go out 28-6 lead 11 seconds to go see if coach warner just goes victory here and takes a knee and goes into halftime with the big lead i believe that's what he's going to do he's got mclaren the field right now such a simple formation but it's always confusing oh i know nobody knows where to go mclaren takes the snap takes the knee and that will get the clock rolling i remember the first time we did victory official kept throwing a flag we didn't know that we were missing a tight end on the play so we just didn't have enough guys on the line of scrimmage but columbia figures it out takes the knee and will take a 28 to six halftime lead into the locker room we will have coverage of the band and color guard senior nights as it looks like they're going to have about a dozen kids there lined up so we will send it over to pa announcer ralph stone and enjoy halftime folks ladies and gentlemen at halftime we'd also like to acknowledge our seniors from color guard and fans from color guard we have something like that yeah and mojon receives the kick has to catch his footing a little bit he tries to go right up the middle and he's mobbed but joan on the return to the 20-yard line first and then 10 20 to go second quarter of action did in fact have a quarterback changes yeah you know mike i spoke too soon david passernock puts the bruins on the board one nothing with three seconds in the first period how about that and i believe becker into the game now his pass is complete and yeah we are getting hailed on now special weather update yeah you gotta stop taking i believe that's johnny ferentino on the catch 10 minutes to go although there is a quarterback change it looks like the spartans are still sticking with the air game rather than on the ground becker pump fakes fires mr mack mr mack it's going to be close to the marker and they're going to move the chains first down east long meadow i'd love to see it's always a good thing when you're moving chains on offense typically that's that's the name of the game yeah after scoring touchdowns yep first and and a half to go [Music] and becker play action looks fires and behind the [Music] it must be helpful when you when you get up the ranks and broadcasting to be able to have an angle towards the field because work we're just barely we're not in the booth right now that does not necessarily help the wind that's cutting mike you must be doing all right because i'm i'm taking the wind away from you um um sure we'll go with that but um i honestly i'm not the best badge for the viewers like i have to deal with the wind oh on the mic yeah and it's a fake running up the middle for a good chunk i believe that'll be seven or eight isaiah king nine minutes to go if isaiah can get going in this game that could radically change things is that cj calogy wide lining up as a wide receiver i believe it is a king some i never thought i would see that and that excites me it is a ser frio c senor jeez and becker looking firing he hucks one up and it hits the hands of longo so on third in a very short one or two [Music] and i believe there's a lot of cars pulled up in st mike's parking lot there are watching the game from there if you're tuned into the broadcast happy to have you smart move staying in your car i definitely wish i had some heating 8 29 left in the half fourth down and two to go for the spartans and now becker some miscommunication with king no flag on the play though must be timeout spartans [Music] in this quick timeout break we're going to take it on down to the field with michelle tafoya to see if she has any action going on down there michelle thanks michelle we have you know we just can't catch a break with our technology no she was here in spirit maybe we'll check back in later but cj calogy says you know what no thanks i'm not gonna take these gloves with me maybe this cj actually is looking like he's lining up for a punt i'm i'm shocked the spartans are gonna punt this one why do you have the loose not not the lead um i don't know that's probably why they just probably not on the field but i mean longmeadow's offense has either been getting five yards the entire drive or 80 yards i mean so i don't think it really i mean field position is obviously a factor but the way we've seen the game today it's been either house call or spartan defense i know dev but you can never really complain when you get to see cj calogy put a ball on a foot i messed up there put a foot on a ball ball on a foot how about that and mike my feet are freezing can you imagine just kicking a football right now i feel like my foot would just break you know like eight pieces devin i am actually doing pretty well i have wool socks i have double wool socks of course and then i have some all birds going on although i'm not doing free advertising um but they are wool so uh really keeping me nice and cozy down south on the toes region i gotta find a way to do it with the mic we have our defense gentlemen trying to fire up the men on the field ryan delaney is massive so it's number 79 on the sideline there i'm sure he's in frame first down 10 to go and hoffman will pitch it out and a tackle made yes sir group of spartans there they get to him that time you know devin i am a little surprised at the lack of turnovers been all over the field he's he's nice he's good he's good xylock on the carry that time wasn't able to get too far [Music] shout out to the longmeadow high school football team superintendent mr marty o'shea ah how about that yeah and give this time to casablanca and i believe he's gonna be just shy of the marker but it will be third and short for the lancers and you gotta think they're gonna go two plays here something is falling down third and one all right we got it third down and one yard to go east long meadow spartans could you use a huge stop here [Music] right that would be ideal in an ideal world that sounds like something i would enjoy happy friday everyone happy to have made it through the week with you happy friday thank you michael enjoy your weekends third down one to go and just a power run up the middle good for the first down [Music] coach morrison all going with the shorts today i told you man he's he's got legs made out of like something special fire like i can't think of how it's possible but man it's just i don't know how he does it and now as i look he's got a i thought that ball was going to be stripped but he's tossed way back spartans said no thank you on that play [Music] yeah you'd have to be i i could never wear shorts credit to mr morrison or coach morsino or other but oh now it looks as though sorry it's a sweet and big hit made that time believe by nico mon john good loss for the lancers now devin i have a sideline update here um i've been sidelined watching totally forgot what i was going to say thank you come to me connor roberto has been warming up that is exactly what it is so a little bit of uh interesting things to watch on the spartan sideline there in the quarterback situation third and longs have not been kind to east longmeadow but yet here's another 30 12.

everybody please stand big round of applause for our color guard and fan members our seniors have been here supporting columbia high school for four years that would feel great [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] now is [Applause] [Music] [Applause] sure [Music] yes [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey [Applause] um [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] one two one two three four [Music] done [Music] watch out they're gonna [Applause] oh [Applause] welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the halftime show just completed we are going to have sam horner on the phone once again jared and sam take it away so sam over that first half we saw uh the eagles didn't have a really good start we started out with a fumble right off first play on the offensive side of the ball so from that point on what did what did coach horner really have to say to get his offense going um after a kind of rough start i think it was just you know lighting a fire in him um i think the nerves you know every time i don't know about you jared but every time i got here i was always nervous for that first play but once that first play hit those nerves went away so i think that might have had a bit of a factor going into that but um i know in the past this coaching staff does a great job of motivating their players and lighting the fire under their bellies to get going so i think probably what that's what i heard was going on down here and i'm sure they went half time too i'm sure it wasn't a quiet locker room so um i'm i'm sure i'm confident they're going to come out second half you know doing what they need to do oh yeah definitely and uh you probably after london little had that fumble you don't really see him muffin the ball up a lot so you probably had a lot of other seniors probably hitting his helmet and trying to lift him up and get him right back out there on the field and do do what he does best and get in the end zone and that's what he did in the second quarter so i'm looking forward to uh second half here um what do you uh what do you what seniors are you looking forward to uh seeing see the field here um you know i think uh i think so far whibby has done a great job uh defensively he's really getting in the spot saying he needs to to uh to be but i'm very interested uh coming into the second half if we if we can get this score up a little bit more we're gonna see a lot of some guys who don't usually get some time and i think there's a lot of kids who are itching to play on the sideline because it's a good group of kids we've been playing for a long time they're gonna be psyched uh to play together um on their senior night so i think i'm looking at some kids you know on the sideline right now um you know i think colin probably might get some more reps back at qb um the second half definitely and uh yeah i think maybe bryce heather man or aaron two train might get on in the action a little bit in the backfield so we'll see all right sounds good sam thank you uh for coming on here and uh you said you're gonna come get another pair of headphones yep i'll see you up there in sec all right sounds good thank you that was 2020 grad sam horner playing in the 2019 season i said he was a 2019 grad earlier played in the 2019 season they are at the university of missouri now shout out to the alma mater from columbia to columbia they went so columbia kicked off in the first half will receive the second half kickoff 28th the sixth lead jared knigh's predictions we're right on track number 14 sends it to the 33-yard line where it's caught by two trainees gotta get up the middle in a hurry and he's going to get to the 43 and good field position on a good return there by two training to get back up the middle and try to make something happen yeah they set that ball up all the way on the on the hash mark and kicked it all the way to the opposite side of the numbers so great job by the kickoff return team to be ready there and make your uh make your moves and set guys in the right spot and 2 train was able to come up with the ball there and gain a few yards to see what this offense can do as we see looks like london little is going to be running quarterback right now got the wildcat london's going to be the quarterback he's going to fake the pass going to get behind a couple running or blockers rather and he's going to gain five as he reaches the 43-yard line that's at wildcat that we had mentioned earlier and that's something that if we were playing in a full season with playoffs that we'd probably see a lot more of it's something that a lot of defenses will would not like to go against because if you if you're if you have a guy like on in little and he's touching the ball on every single play that means that something great is about to happen so um it's it's pretty nice to see london little move around literally in every single position on the field and him still succeed in it mclaren and back in the quarterback hands the ball off to mcconaughey you're going to get to the outside for enough of a first down before finally stepping out of bounds good for six and a half good for a first down five or six yards close to a first down tackle by number two the latest comment said shout out to the lady cheerleaders ready to the eagles lady cheerleaders haven't made a comment on their push-ups yet tonight so do some quick math i haven't had to do too many quite yet mr holton doing his tips and i'm back everybody yeah eagles first down doubles to the left side hand the ball off nope going to be faked mclaren is going to keep it he's going to go up the middle he's got enough for a first down and gets tripped up on some nifty footwork by himself too the first down what was your longest run alex you think in your career you don't know no i bet howie could get it for you in about a week i bet he could have an answer for you i'd like to get with howie in the offseason and try to figure out some of them goofy stats of the longest runs longest pass plays interceptions because like you said you know that they're there yeah he's got him he's got him that is the plan we have some cool stuff ready to go for next year in our minds at least we'll have to make it happen in the off season quick turnaround this year as we will start playing again in august fake the handoff to mcconaughey who gets blown up on the play but it's going to be a completion of london little he makes a couple of minutes he's got to get to the outside he's got one man to miss he hurdled he's going to get stopped this week at the four but that is good for about 27 yards in another columbia eagles first down as they enter the red zone on first and goal man he's exciting to watch and i was talking to coach germain right before the game down there in pre-game and um he even said that london little could be a top five columbia football player that he's ever ever coached or seen so um just for all these columbia fans out here with only two games well a game and a half left of london little's career um it's definitely going to be sad to see him go but we are lucky enough to have a guy like london little in our program doubles the left side hand the ball off to mcconaughey he's going to go up the middle and he's going to get in for another columbia eagles touchdown [Applause] [Music] [Applause] mcconaughey picking up where he left off last week with another touchdown run for himself the junior running back so it's going to be exciting to have him come back and hopefully put on a little bit of weight and start seeing him running between the cards and tackles a little more saigon webb and jackson kick is up kick is good well i need the store to stay just like this the rest of the game alex and my prediction is spot on you know i'd like one more touchdown so shout out to the lady eagles cheerleaders as they're working on their push-ups now i'm doing some quick math five i think 105 push-ups now on the night i don't know if they've had a game where they didn't have to do other than at least a hundred yeah at least 100 push-ups in the night remember i think it was back in redbud they used to have the old cinder track yeah imagine putting your hands on that and yeah that would not be fun so that takes the lead columbia 35 east alton six we have on to kick once again for the eagles with nine minutes and 42 seconds remaining [Applause] in the third quarter two minutes and 18 seconds on that drive for columbia it sends it deep high kick this time going to be caught at the four yard line good job by the eagles getting down the field now they got to make a tackle and they do at the 21 yard line looks to be number 30 i believe that's like on the tackle nope it's elijah jarvis kickoff team doing a great job like i said earlier though tonight especially flying down the field and finding the ball east dalton will take the field at their own 22-yard line grip going out swapping out balls been doing it for about 30 years he said today another guy that like we said earlier coach warner doesn't have to worry about he just knows he's going to be there [Laughter] hand the ball off this time to number 17 to the right side where he's going to gain maybe a yard if that and will be brought down we talked with london little and michael jacobs this week on their senior night my name is london little number 28 and i want to thank my friends family my coaches just everybody who's been here for me uh my name is michael jacobs i'm number 80 and i'd like to thank my lovely parents second down in nine for the eagles what was that his lovely mother i saw that one earlier this week and it made me smile a little bit i'm a mama's boy myself so you don't say i probably shouldn't be talking doubles on the left side running back left send a man in motion to the left and they run it to the right gonna get to the line of scrimmage and that's it gonna maybe even be a loss of half a yard on the play on the carry tackle by colin mclaren brought down by the senior number 15 colin mclaren and the junior owen brewer as the band parts ways with the field for the final time for those seniors final time for mr iturski once again congratulations enjoy retirement and great job never have anything bad to say about mr i turkey or any of his bands that he's had in previous years third down in nine eight ten remaining on the game clock doubles to the left side running back left send the motion man to the left webb gets oh that's a hold on losers contain but we're able to make the tackle bring up a fourth down and three and like you said i think wibbs got held on that play yeah that uh outside or that inside receiver there was lined up right over wibbs and um webbs is supposed to force it back inside and he tried to but uh he as he turned his body you could see that his jersey was being held a little bit but lucky enough to bring up a fourth down and five so looks like they're going to bring out their punt team and london little is going to drop back and receive this one with 7 30 left in this third quarter you could hear coach kendall yelling blue blue blue blue block jinx watch the football they will snap they will get the pun off and it will not go directly to london and he lets it fall i thought he was going to grab that one yeah kendall kendall's even on the sideline throwing his hands up in the air what are you doing go get the ball that's your favorite so i think that ball might have landed around the 35 and it's going to go out of bounds at the 24 where the eagles offense will take over columbia after the two minutes 18 second drive colin mclaren coming out with mcconaughey at running back see if we can find a score of that freeberg and salem game if you want to look it up gonna be a pass play for mclaren he's looking deep he's got london deep closeted with the catch london's gonna have to outrun a man oh look at him london little had about a two yard head start and it ended up at about five london little in for another columbia eagles touchdown on a beautiful ball by senior colin mclaren good for 76 yards it looked like that guy was going to catch him but london had an extra like he just has that extra like extra extra speed in him that he can just get away and he had two two yards that guy had with him and ended up beating him by like 10 yards so great throw there by mclaren to lead him lana didn't even have to stop or anything so great great lead by mclaren to lead him with that pass for a great 76-yard touchdown good snap good hold good kick one more that's good so that takes the score to the eagles 42 the oilers six we will head to a break and we will be back with the remainder of the third quarter after this 147 push-ups for the cheerleaders now as eagles take the 42-6 lead columbia trying to get to the 40-point lead where time will run at all times whibs kicks the t on that one it's going to be a short kick recovered at the 15.
i wonder if hoffman will keep this one and he'll roll out to pass often firing downfield had a man open flag on the play pass would have been incomplete [Music] and the delay of the game before definitely not a bad thing so i believe that makes it what was it before third and 12th third and 17 now so spartan defenses just gotta watch the outside run and cover downfield i know i make it sound extremely simple when it's not but that's where longmeadows had their success tonight and hopefully the spartans can realize that and force a turnover yeah i mean as long as the spartans don't let up any more than 16 yards here and hoffman will take it out to the left and you know he's going to have enough for the first down this time as well he makes a few good moves tries to cut back and he's just absolutely crunched [Music] so spartans defense has just been getting destroyed by hoffman who has two touchdowns and he's got to have well over 100 yards rushing yeah he's uh he's been tough to stop on the ground for sure hasn't had too many throwing attempts and hoffman will pass them past this time rather and it's complete tackle made but not before a pretty solid gain of eight sam martin for 3 45 to go quarter number two half number one spartans trail the lancers 20 to but they've been in this game just a few long meadow monster plays have been the difference maker indeed and it's a sweet play to casablanca and he has met tackle by 12 second and 8.
oh gonna get up the middle and he's going to be tackled at the 37. that all started on the kick being short and giving that return man an ability to come up and run and catch the football take over number 52 at vulture columbia's defense holding strong again once tonight once again tonight said that wrong east alton comes out doubles to the left side running back to the left tight end and sniffer back to the right shotgun snaps a little slow getting back there it's going to be recovered by the quarterback and hand it off to number 17 who's going to gain a yard i don't know how many plays over 10 yards east alton's had tonight but it can't be many well that touchdown that we gave up was could have been easily intercepted as it hit somebody right on top of the helmet but other than that i mean i can't i can't really think of a big play that they've they've really had but this defense has just been so on top of things they've everybody stayed home and um done what they're told so there's not really much to complain about on the defensive side of the ball second down and eight east salt not in any hurry to get the next play off they're gonna hand the ball off try to get the job schrader job schrader forces it back inside and it's good for seven maybe eight gonna be close to a first down and like you said good job schroeder brings up third down and two how hard is it for a linebacker like that yeah you have to shed a blocker that's coming at you and you gotta you gotta find the ball and it's hard to shed a blocker that's because it's usually a puller that's pulling to kick you out so to to shed a block like that and force everything back inside to even get a hand on on the guy with the ball um it's pretty special whenever you can have players that can do that and force other hats to come to the football motion man number 35 he's going to stretch it to the outside and he's going to be slung down by whis is that simple saying yeah it's that simple all you got to do is go two three yards up field and force him back inside and um he was a little slow on that one but he made up with it for grabbing the jersey and forcing him the two two three yard loss so i mean coach germain you i mean even whenever you were playing he's enforced it over his his whole time here so it's nice to see these linebackers come in each year and carry on the generation of forcing everything back inside so coach germain doesn't really have to have to enforce it as much anymore as the seniors can kind of teach it to the the younger classman and the younger classman can learn about it over time loss of three on the play brings up a fourth down and four going to be a swing to the outside going to be stepped by the eagles london little fighting off a stock block adam wiblemeyer is fighting off a stock block and a turnover on downs for the eagles that clock is still running right now nope nope it just stopped nope now it's running again i don't think it's supposed to be running yet not yet but it will be hopefully here soon there it goes it stops now looking down here at the sideline we always talk about howie and the stats guys you got howie and todd klask when sharkey giving hand signals to one another buddy standing right next to howie those three guys they don't miss too much and they've got it pretty much down to the yard and how we make sure that they get it to the yard doubles for the eagles running back is mcconaughey it's going to be a little sticker out and it's going to be incomplete [Applause] pruitt was the intended receiver he got lit up on the ribs there and that was going to be a tough one to hang on to yeah took a good look there and he just ran a pretty simple five to six yard hitch route and corner did a good job of not biting on a go route and stayed home and made a good hit stick on evan pruitt to make the ball fall to the ground and come up with a second and 10.
under three minutes half number one sparring defense gotta make something happen here don't want to get this game get out of hand and it's a give and it'll be marred making a few men miss he spins away from a bunch of tacklers and he will be down inside the ten maybe even the five first down and goal to go spartans i mean assuming long that i was able to punch this one in they got to find a way to get on the board before this half ends they do indeed yeah they get the ball at half you know you need a big play out of your team you either need to stop right here they got to be thinking strip yeah something's big has got to happen here for the spartans hoffman will pass this one i didn't i'm kind of shocked he escapes the sack and he flips it away it's complete and thrown out of bounds that's marred how did hoffman escape that one yeah i don't know that was mojon too he's one of spartan's best defensive players i am absolutely sh so was he not on bounce clocks running so i am absolutely shocked long that i decided to throw the ball there i mean you want to keep that clock running down and they've had so much success with the run i'm so yes i mean their running back and hoffman both have had huge games on the ground um yeah let's see what they have what happens here hoffman under center will be second down goal to go and he'll just go right up the middle with this one spartan line trying to hold and i believe it's going to be third and very short to the goal line maybe one closing in on a minute to go wow cold cold and it's going to be a brief half time so i don't yeah i think five minutes so not much time to warm why is that that's what the official said i think he said five and three whatever that means often we'll roll out to pass this one he fires looking end zone and it's dropped by casablanca i don't know okay finally they stopped the clock a little late there it's gonna be fourth down i'm i'm very surprised i mean obviously the play was there but i can't believe they're throwing the ball likewise yeah i don't know so much success why would you change it up but i don't know regardless it's beyond me [Music] fourth and two for the lancers here all right here's the stop spartans needed seriously fourth down and two the line has to come up big here i know this one's going right off the gut or it's going to be a quarterback yeah end around so lion's got to stack up and there will be a timeout i believe east long meadow will take it wow cold cold do you want some blanket [Music] oh yeah i forgot you had a blanket thank you you're welcome you owe me it's not even your blanket no it's not ryan delaney is just a massive human being right on the 45-yard line oh this is a lot better than what i was just going through yeah sorry i didn't really realize so devin michael how are you i'm every day i wake up and it's a great day to be here mike yeah i don't know what much every breath is a gift that's how i take it there you go that's how i take every day wow that is really inspiring some days are better than others but every podcast [Music] podcast guy i've i've been on a few i haven't worked with a few but nothing along the positivity track but yeah honestly me waking up my morning commute just listening to a little devin you know i you know i gotta give some credit where credit's deserved my morning energy yeah of course going to the gym in the morning is a great way to wake up my morning energy comes from checking my snapchat story and seeing the great chico porth in the morning at 4 am yelling at the top of his lungs that just fires me up for the day and let me tell you it does not stop on his snapchat story at 4am it is constant hoffman will roll out and he's able to walk in for his third touchdown of the evening 26 to 6.
little truck stick there mcconaughey a pistol back three down lineman two riders or two linebackers rather he's gonna win two men missed he's got to get up field he's a good block to train you train up there he's going to get the first down and get near red zone territory but a big gain for about 20 yards [Music] and good for columbia eagles first down [Music] yeah like you said earlier if we can get mcconauchey to put on some muscle and gain a little bit of weight get him running in between the guards and tackles that'd be something nice for columbia's offense because next year whenever you have a guy like dom vagley still back there running the offense and you can have a running back like mcconaughey who's got a year of varsity ball under his belt definitely gives you a little bit more experience back there and should have guys ready to go jacobus comes into the game at receiver we're going to hand the ball off jarvis number 36.
that is the third touchdown of the day for mr colin hoffman spartans will get the ball with 41 and a half seconds to go now do the lancers have a passing touchdown no they don't their running back has a touchdown correct correct yep sure and they're gonna go for two it's a trick play doesn't work out so it'll remain a 20-point game spartans will try and chip away at this deficit before the half but they're going to need another big play like they had in the first quarter in order for that to happen yep [Music] maybe eco mojo can pull off some magic here the westfield state committee [Music] okay [Music] 41 in one half seconds remain half one spartans drilled by 20 to the lancers and it's an interesting kick selection ball is picked up i believe they did that just to avoid a large return at the end of the half be surprised tackle that time i was fielded by jacob jacob rabbited that time now 34 seconds here devon that's not too little time for the spartans to put together a couple plays they're not us why not us right let's make some magic happen here you know take the momentum into the half spartans down 20 right now 34.8 seconds remaining some people may round up to 35 seconds i'm gonna stick with 34.8 all right and becker and at quarterback this time it's a give to king spartans they've been throwing it all game they're gonna i guess run the clock out here um i i mean i guess interesting call spartans seem to have no urgency so i think they're just going to take this one down into the half closing in on three seconds and they're going to let this one bleed out at the half it's the lancers 26 the spartan 6.
i think there's that 30 is that jarvis is it on the carry number 35 two train comes off hildebrand comes on by number 14 spencer looking like some of the seniors that in there now we flip formations now we got schrader coming on still have jarvis and mclaren in the backfield second down and six balling the oilers 16 yard line gonna hand the ball off to elijah and he's gonna get up the middle maybe did he fall forward by five yards yeah i look like it i thought he might have got a yard on the play but he runs full speed downhill yeah he hits that hole pretty quick once he gets that ball you can't really see him he's flying through that hole and that's what he did there and it did it looked like he didn't even like get touched he just dove like four yards and slid little comes off third down and one from the 12.
spartan touchdown was landing robodoo from his brother connor good for like 70 or 80 yards 81 yards 81 yards there you go so mike one of the spartans got to do to turn this thing around they get the ball at half they've had a little production in the passing game run game hasn't been there much all they got to do to turn this thing around yeah i'm saying that the spartans need to come out strong in the uh in the next half here with some throwing that's where they've had their success i think the passing play is where the spartans are uh needing to go for the next two quarters so um yeah i'm intrigued to see what happens also um try to just diminish the run game a little bit for the lampers they've been giving up a ton of yards use his arm a little bit more or have to use his arm a little bit more than he's had too do you have anything i'm just looking forward to the third quarter mindset on warm thoughts and i think the spartans they're still in this game compared to what we thought against minichok they get the ball in half they got a chance to turn it around yes i do we shall see stay tuned you're watching spartan football live on lcat we'll see you for the second half thank you folks foreign so you so [Music] [Applause] spots welcome back you're watching spartan football live on lcat devin dobeck alongside mike moynihan jamie on the camera spartan trail 20 6 to 6.
two minutes 22 seconds remaining in the ball game columbia leads it 42-6 gonna hand the ball off and he's going to go up the middle once again tried to stutter step a little bit and i don't know if he got enough for the first down on that one he might have even just got back on the carry close to a first down tackle by number 17 and you know coach horner will probably wants that running clock right here so he's definitely gonna go for it here i can hear them y'all fourth and one all you need is a half a yard not even you need a just a little push from your front line to get a first down and then try to get in the end zone here for a running clock but it looks like columbia is going to burn a timeout here with the time out we will go to max cerese and dawson sukup for their senior night uh max reese number 34.
uh my roster must have blown away while we were uh we were um warming up so hopefully mr mack can help us in that regard devon how was your halftime it was warmer than than right now yeah yeah yeah sure this is like the frozen tundra and nico mojo makes a great play there to field the kick and he's going to try and get around to the left side and eventually he goes out of bounds flag flies dan manning leading his case little did he know there was a yellow marker flying above his head simultaneously kind of kind of beautiful it was a good toss i mean you all know what's underrated is the referee flag toss yeah some guys can huck they can huck a flag yeah and it will be a foul on the lancers so spartans will be in longmeadow territory to start this drive 15-yard personal fall against longmeadow first down anthony slaw meadow from the long metal 45-yard line personal foul on longmeadow that's a 15-yard penalty first and goal not first and goal first down 10 yards for this part almost a direct quote from mr mack and becker able to receive the kick somehow some way and he fights to get just past the line of scrimmage bad snap that time yeah spartans starting off with becker here rather than roberto um yeah something to note backer it'll very long ten past complete cology making a stiff arm fighting look at cj shane becker to number 15 cj how about that and it'll be third and short date of nine of the play third down and one the way this game is shaped up it's been almost a free play on both sides so we'll see if maybe the spartans can get a big chunk of this there's been a few 32 past plays that haven't worked out so i may have misspoken there but regardless it's been some booming plays spartans in the shotgun becker takes a snap and it's a draw to king king breaking free and he's got enough for the first [Music] first down run of 6 yards by number 20 isaiah king king is having more success than the last game that uh we saw against min shock so definitely a confidence booster for him yeah absolutely yeah i love to see that first and ten spartans trying to get something going here they're down three scores no time like the present though and becker rolling out to his right he looks and fires did he complete that one oh i'm not sure if it was completed no no please wouldn't it just stink lining up next to ryan delaney yeah i mean i've just been watching all game you can't get an inch the wingspan on the gentleman impressive [Music] and becker this one complete again a good catch that time by cj calogy on a nice little slant route spartans trying to move the chains again on this drive it'll be third in another third down and short not surprised at all that the spartans are going more with the passing options here rather than running um i like that [Music] becker there'll be a draw to king he got me he took off with that one so fake to king and we'll see what the story is gonna be this time [Music] and it's going to be a first down for east long meadow looks big 10 yard penalty maybe holding or something sort although they stopped any idea what was going on against longmeadow resulting in the first out of ten for the spark it was inside notice there was a jump or anything and becker this time trying to do it himself pile pushing spiral stuff pile did becker break out of that he did how about that play guess just never stop moving your feet and good things happen first down and goal to go maybe a little life here in this third quarter eight and a half to go and now that one pass complete touchdown east long meadow it's gonna be dan manning with a touchdown the tight end how about that [Music] it's time for my favorite part of the game mr cj calogy field goal first first one we've uh seen hopefully they don't fake me out here and go for a two-point conversion that would be embarrassing yeah that would be it'd make out for it if they scored two points though and kick is up and into the atmosphere into orbit [Music] big series for cj there got a point and two catches 2613 spartans you know they can trim this thing down just chip away i mean they cut the lead directly in half there um well no but kind of like a third well not lead i guess the score 26 divided by 2 is 13.
i'm thankful for my parents for always supporting me and dealing with me in the house and off the field but they're always there to support me i'm dawson sukup number 75 and i'd like to thank god my mom and coach baker it's nice to see you got both nick and sam horner out there in the huddle we know that nick likes to give his input oh yeah as he's given his input you can see him giving some hand signals right now it looks like he's talking to schrader sam says i'm out sam's always been the quiet one that just kind of goes with it nick's right there on dad's left pocket so fourth and one what are you doing here uh i mean you got mcconaughey coming back at running back so it looks like we are just gonna run i mean you could come out in heavyset or you could just run a just straight straight run to the um run up the middle with mcconaughey it looks like they're going to come out in the heavyset with about a only a half yard to go so we'll see what we can get here as mclaren is going to get the snap he's going to turn around and hand the ball to mcconaughey he's going to get the first down going to get about two more yards after the first down to about the six yard line and the eagles are going to have a first and goal from the six salmon that time out there as we go down to the field with sam or on that timeout there you and nick both in the timeout is nick talking because you're always the quiet one and we always know nick likes to talk yeah he does you know he's he loves just being out here too so doing his best part to educate these kids out here helping him out um yeah he i think he's he's doing a great job i asked him if he wanted to speak today on here but i don't know he said no who knows all right that'll work easy enough as the ball to two train there falls incomplete mclaren comes out he's a starting quarterback as a senior weeks one and two and comes back out again here in week five what do you think about mclaren keeping his head down just going into the defensive side of the football now he's back to the offensive side as he's going to send schroeder in motion he's got a pistol back and jarvis doubles to the right side he's going to let the clock run hands the ball off to jarvis who full head of steam runs up the middle and he's got three what do you think of mclaren just keeping his head down and uh becoming the starting quarterback once again and doing well tonight i'll tell you what playing with him growing up you know in pjs he was always in my team and in high school kids the kid's a workhorse man he loves the game of football and i don't think it really matters where you put him out on the field you know he's going to play because he just loves this atmosphere he loves being out here but to be able to play on defense and play quarterback you know we don't we don't see that very often you know dom does a great job too but i think you know khan's a competitor out there and he's always got this this drive and this chip on his shoulder so it makes him that much better of a player jarvis in a running back you think they stop them on this run nope they're going to pass it they're going to go to the outside to 2 training he's wide open good for another columbia eagles touchdown i was expecting a run play on that for sure i think we all were yeah um i know i've been down here listening to this coaching staff and we're trying to get these guys in the end zone that don't touch the ball too often and so you don't see a guy like aaron two train who works his butt off every day um getting the ends i think it's real rewarding it's awesome to see these guys succeeding out here two train was a big defensive player for us last year as a cornerback didn't really see him at wide receivers we were loaded on the wide receiver side of the football as well and this year comes out and you would have fooled me if you said the guy's never played wide receiver before good snap good hold kick is up and it was good so columbia leads 49 to 6 with 37 seconds to go we will send it to a break and we will be back right after this [Applause] you are watching columbia eagles football live columbia high school and the athletic department would like to thank all of our sponsors for their generosity when going out more so than ever please consider shopping local and supporting the businesses that have supported us get ready eagles fans it's that time we've been waiting for it's eagle football time sends it deep returnable from the seven yard line for east alton they're gonna go up the middle good contain not gonna have anywhere to go keeps his feet moving though and gains about seven yards after contact where the oilers will take over from the 28-yard line columbia gets the return by number and i don't know if east alton will get a play off here so the final 12 minutes and 10 seconds am i gonna run are gonna go pretty quick here [Music] so that will do it for three quarters as the eagles lead it 49-6 we have four more seniors left the next two up for their senior night will be announced later in the fourth quarter and then finally the last two of the night as well columbia leads this one 49 6 like we said let us know where you're listening from we're having fun with it up here like we said earlier we're going to have some stuff planned for the uh for the future we're going to do some features we're going to have more camera angles next year we've got a little bit of a setup going up here we got some extra stuff that we're going to see so that first week we did this jared a little bit rougher but uh now we're good to go yeah i was a little nervous there in the beginning of the uh of the season but as time went on uh it got a little easier and it became a lot much better for us so oliver schroeder and bryce hildebrand it's your turn for senior night my name is oliver schroeder i'm number 22 and i'd love to thank my momo my grandma because she's always been by my side and always been rooting for me number three bryce hildebrand i'd like to thank my parents and all my teammates and friends for pushing me to two more to go for the senior night as we have 16 seniors this year and jared like you said nervous on the first one we got cameras we got lights we got action we didn't know what to really expect and uh and my legs were a little shaky because we were standing the first week too so now that we got these seats we're uh we're chilling up here 35 motion man he's running more yards in motion tonight than with the football pass and play it's going to be intended for number five and it's going to be dropped by number five defended on the play look like max therese 34 max cerese he was right there in the right spot looks like a lot of the starting the defense is uh starting to be done for the night as most of them are seniors so um i know their last home game i remember my last home game um it's not fun playing at home is something really special and especially in front of all your fans and it's just a different atmosphere every time you walk onto the columbia field hand the ball off up the middle and it's going to be stopped by the big uglies up front there's a bunch of them there for the eagles loading up in the middle look down coaches are starting to remove the head gear as our coach stump and coach baker up here in the press box kohlenberger off schrader off jason kaczynski on poultry off so need to get those seniors off the field 4-1 final time third down and 10.
that is an accurate statement so i guess lead was the wrong verbiage noun we are having it's way too cold for me to be using my brain cj calogy now is kind of sure that made sense but i think so if you have experienced cold brain syndrome please let us know because i think mike monahan may be the only person to ever go through that unless you're like hiking mount everest which would be an excuse actually we pretty much are hiking now yeah he's just gonna say can't be much worse than this and also should probably be more of an oxygen thing rather than yeah that's true but i'm not going to say that because that doesn't help my narrative so shout out to the spartan faithful who actually came out to the game tonight and the lancer faithful i mean it is cold yeah it is cold my goodness blast that barely goes into the end zone into the wind is a touch back he's got a foot he can kick a ball also i forgot to give bruins update taylor hall netted his second goal of ruin in second and two days to extend the lead to 2-0 and i heard he almost scored a between the legs goal as well thank you to my sources on that one i mean [Music] for the value that they gave up for him it's a steal it's a steal just what we needed and he said that he wants to stick around for a couple of years i'm excited you know what also excites me is a flag on the longmeadows lancers i was going to say spartans believe false start coach morrissino trying to fire up his team first down and 15.
doubles to the right side running back right they're going to run it right to number 35 he's going to find one blocker to get behind he's going to gain six and bring up a manageable fourth down and four picks up six or seven yards on the play brings up a fourth down and five here and 62. we'll most likely go for it but kaczynski in on the tackle fourth down and four they're gonna have to go for it does the clock stop on change of possession i think so i think that's the only time it stops but i mean i guess we'll see here if columbia eagles defense can get a stop and force turnover on downs and get the ball back in the columbia eagles offense hands freebird currently leads salem 19-7 to start the second half low slow snap gonna be a pass to the left side they got a man open under thrown and he just makes a play and he's going to get near the end zone he's got one goal he's going to get drug out of bounds saved him he has complained to number five ryan dawson he's going to get down to the three he came from this opposite side corner and bryce hildebrand kind of went up for the ball and didn't really see it but the receiver was lucky enough to put his hand on the ground after he caught it and keep going but jacob has tracked him down right about the three yard line chain gang taking their time alfie's got to run down there get the ball set the marker set the other guys just go walk into the 25 and say yeah close enough we're just going to stop here running to the right side this time is number 35 and he's going to be stopped by number 75 for the eagles suit cup [Applause] back off tackle in the backfield by number 33 brennan weak and weak stepping up saigon in to clean up the play as well see if columbia defense second string can get a stop here and keep that number six on the board i had 49 to six no you had 42 to 6 9 49 no get out of here eight minutes remaining in the ball game eight seconds on the play clock send a man in motion gonna be a play action quarterback's gonna roll to the right he's got a man in the corner he's got a man for a touchdown east halton [Applause] touchdown oilers pass complete to brendan no [Applause] and the clock stops on scoring please now does it restart the clock yeah does it continue to start and stop all the time now or does it roll and clock because it's no longer a 40-point game i thought it was once it reaches 40 it's a rolling clock keeps going yeah i think [Applause] east alton for the two-point conversion send a man in motion they're gonna roll to the left side gonna do a little bit of a rutgers four in our book and it's gonna be good two-point conversion for east alton number one brennan to take the score conversion columbia 49 east 12 14 14.
[Music] and where is the ball that's a good question it went off the middle not for much though [Music] spartans showing some life [Music] second down 12 to go and you know if you multiply 2 by 12 that's about the temperature i guess the windchill is going to have an effect on what we got and it's going to be a time out for the lancers stay tuned you're watching spartan football live on lcat [Music] don't let this now the weather app says it's 39 degrees the weather app is a liar it says it feels like 31. i vehemently disagree i feel like it's and how about the fire coming from both of these benches holy cow this is the loudest i've heard of sporting kind of rocking and it's a give be good for a few but it's going to be third down scoreboard's pretty messed up i'm gonna third and five here for the lancers third down has been a little bit of an enemy here for the spartans so starting off this first half with a stop on third down would be huge [Music] and so it'll be third down five to go and it's an end to round play spartans trying to strip that football loose i don't know how that mard was able to hang on to that one but nevertheless jet sweep has been very successful for little answers [Music] six and a half to go spartans trying to hang in this game all they need is a little consistency and hoffman the give it's gonna be two it's gonna be good for a first down flag on the play there looking like that's gonna be on the spartans um not sure what the what did you say it was going to be looked to me i thought it was going to be on the spartans although there's some excitement coming from the spartan faithful and limping off the field jack kelsey dc face mask on the spartans their personal foul i hate to see it five yard face mask penalty against metal first wow it's cold probably and pass goes way down field and falls incomplete i believe that's mojon on the coverage no it is not no it's too far away for me to see yeah i can't quite i believe maybe long ago bingo on the breakup or someone else cj is that number 15 no he's too he's not tall enough yeah not tall yeah second and ten six minutes to go quarter three [Music] pretty fired up for some tom petty in the third intermission and the give is to casablanca who's taken down after a short game spartans all over him yeah the clock is messed up now it's saying a minute 45 i don't know now it's 5 30 all right we're having some problems 5 35 clock stoppage [Music] third down eight to go spartans possibly put to their biggest test of the evening it's a 13-point game and you can hear the energy here both teams trying to inspire each other and give us to mard it's a pitch spartans get a hold this one's going to come back and brian delaney fired up on the sideline i missed it he just clapped seriously small hurricane yeah i'm sure the earthquake erupted in japan [Music] so it'll be third and in 18 mike i mean third and long not a friend of the spartans no i if i'm you know i would be putting in man coverage mr colin hoffman here he has had his way you gotta have a spy on him and he's gonna roll out here we go he breaks it out to the left and he's taken down it'll be fourth and nine i've already seen a long metal punt yet we have not wow long leno has been going on fourth down quite quite often and it honestly looks like they maybe number 10 preston longo fourth down in 10.
