that's significant flya del rey increased grade 4 math proficiency by 18 points in those same two years and spectrum and canyon rim are two campuses that have the conventional traditional programming model on their campus increase their grade for math proficiency by 12 points so again yes learning loss is a concern however gilbert public schools is committed to using our data meeting students where they are and and providing those instructional supports to continue to move students forward despite the challenges that we've seen over the last 18 months and may continue to see all right so to continue that same conversation over into the secondary schools if you will take a look at the graphic to see the same actual points from 2019 on the left and then the estimated points that our secondary schools received for the 2021 school year similar to the its exact same legend so you'll notice that we had five of our secondary schools that they had a an increase and that is something to be celebrated but one of the highlights that i would like to most bring everyone's attention to is mesquite junior they are our only secondary title school and so with serving that population our entire district was excited to just celebrate the fact that they not only our title but they also showed the largest increase in total points um which like we looked at over and over just because you know that's an exciting thing to celebrate um and are really excited to um call mr johnson and share that with him to just have him take that moment to celebrate with his staff and just share all the great things that they're doing there's a lot of targeted supports and interventions that are happening on that campus and to see this amount of growth we really do just look forward to seeing what next year brings because we feel like the trajectory that they're on is just going to continue that way and then looking at um with the the rest of the school you will notice uh even though we don't have as many secondary schools even in uh most cases up there you'll notice that even if they did dip it's within like a percentage to two and again when you talk about what's statistically significant and with the fact that we're not even comparing the exact same um variables to one another it it makes you wonder once we have that same consistency and we move into this spring what what outcomes we're going to have moving forward so we're very excited for our secondary schools and i am going to transition um so that you guys can have this site in front of you as i highlight some of the specific highlights from our secondary schools so 13 of our 14 secondary schools did earn bonus points so all of the schools there are bonus points that are available on the accountability measurement and those bonus points just as it sounds are kind of going above and beyond and are more difficult to earn and so even though our high schools no longer have growth points to see these added areas that we are hitting that aren't always easy to get to in all but one of our secondary schools was absolutely significant and something to be celebrated and then five of our high schools earned 10 of the 10 points for grad rates and just to give uh kind of a breakdown the graduation rate when you look at the accountability um it equates to 20 it used to in 2019 business rules it equated to 20 of the school accountability and school letter grade so in that 20 category our high schools 10 out of um they've all five of them have earned 10 out of the 10 full points that they can get for that category which is absolutely um phenomenal and then moving on from there we had five of our high schools that increased in the number of ap exams that were given from 2019 to 2021 and you'll notice up until this point we haven't talked about ap exams but as we look at like mrs burton said we're now moving away from just the state assessment we're talking more all of the pieces that go into the accountability model and when you look at that one of the pieces for high school is the ccri which is the college and career readiness index and indicator and that document is very extensive and really highlights students in two ways their access to coursework in advanced courses college readiness the national assessments that are out there to get into college and then the other side of that is the career exploration the cte coursework and so on and so when looking at those one of the areas that we wanted to highlight was with our ap exams because the we weren't sure um when we were breaking down the the data and looking at our points for the high school level that is a large component and we wanted to assure with everything um shifting and having to overcome some obstacles last year where where that data would land and just to share a little bit a lot of our teachers last year and our students had to be extremely flexible and to see that the number has increased across the district is huge for our district and what that tells us is that it didn't matter if students and teachers were at global if they were at home if they were in person if they were still at their same school if they were teaching an overload they found a way to prioritize getting into those advanced courses and um not only stay there but increase the number of exams that were that were taken and so that's something that we we hope to kind of celebrate on social media and just really um work with our ap coordinators to continue to increase that as well and in addition to that uh um i couldn't help but want to include another piece this is not a part of the ccri i'll be honest but i did want to share that in geps we had our number of ap scholars which there are about three to four different type of ap scholar accolades that can be earned and we had those increase um by 42 students so the number of students that earned those different designations went up by 42 and then we wanted to give a shout out and highlight camp overdean highland high school they are our two schools that offer their ap capstone schools and they offer the ap capstone diploma and in 2019 we had two earned diplomas and since then campo has now been an ap capstone for two years so they can now earn those diplomas and last year in 2021 the two schools were able to bring in 27 students that earned an ap capstone diploma moving on another area of the accountability model for the secondary is el proficiency with our el um students and eight of our ten i'm sorry all of our eligible campuses received eight of the 10 points which just shows again i talked about that earlier we're seeing significant increase in what is happening with our students that have that el designation and then with that we wanted to take a moment to highlight that desert ridge that in addition to being our only title school and being in addition to increasing the number of points from 2019 to 2021 they also when it comes to the el group they earned um 10 of the 10 points eligible for their el students so i again i i can't stop uh gloating about how well desert ridge has done if you can give them a shout out just congratulate them on the success that they're having those students are are working hard because we're seeing an increase in all of their subgroups in the areas that they've been targeting and focusing on so it really is something that their entire staff should be proud of um and then finally gilbert classical academy on the ccri which is that piece that the high school specifically has as a part of their accountability model um that is worth 20 points toward their overall or at least it was in 2019 we'll see what the state comes out with with the new formula but in um last year and then even this i'm sorry in 2019 and then again in 2021 gilbert classical academy earned all of those points and they were the only school in our in our secondary schools to earn all of those points and they cap out so if we could give gca the amount of points if it just could keep going past 20 i don't even know what they would be at but they're they're doing a great job with the college and career and pathways and exploration okay um excuse me i'm sorry reiterating our state assessment updates that dr newman started us off with i just want to turn your attention to spring of 2022 recalling that this will be the first year that we receive reported data for our new science assessment azsci and that that is a change of grade levels too um that's grades five eight and eleven um also it will be our first year for our new i'm not going i'm going to say aasa ela and math assessment for grades three through eight and that does stand for arizona's assessment uh and now i don't remember i'm sorry arizona's academic standards assessment i'm sorry i got nervous um and then dr cox is going to finish this slide so in addition uh we have a couple more additional um changes coming to the state assessments for our secondary so this year will be the first year that our ninth grade cohort are all required to take the act aspire and in addition our junior class will continue to take the act as their required assessment it's important to understand that moving forward the azm2 will no longer be a state assessment that is there um and what we from 2018 and 2019 uh between az merit and then azm2 and then there was a lot of talk about the menu of assessment the menu of assessment has gone away there is no we're not choosing and different districts aren't getting to choose choose which assessments are there which i think um personally is a positive thing and even better than that the state assessments that have been chosen are those national assessments that help our students for post-secondary their college and career pathways and so it allows us to look at the whole child and the bigger picture for their future so those will be the changes to the um the from the state and the updates that they have with assessment and accountability moving into the spring okay so what does that all mean we've looked at all that data so really it's only as meaningful as the next steps that we implement right and so we wanted to go over for you the work that we're doing to support schools and teachers and administrators and students to continue this progress as we move forward the first one teaching and learning is combining forces with administrative services to continue to provide administrative teams and campus plc's with very intentional support to analyze their data and make evidence-based decisions that will improve student outcomes i think everyone in this room understands that the state assessment is a snapshot of where students are at a given moment it is the day-to-day instruction the week to week work that students and teachers are doing with each other formatively that moves students forward and continues to create that progress and so that's something that we're working very hard to support on our campuses the next uh item that we are working on we are definitely capitalizing on the restructuring of that old curriculum and then assessment and accountability model the fact that we are now curriculum instruction and assessment is phenomenal we are super excited i think that principals are very excited to have that designated person at the elementary and secondary level where you can you don't have to figure out who's the correct person to go to if it's assessment or whatever it's we're capitalizing on that and i think that that is going to really help us to provide more cohesive support because we know that curriculum instruction and assessment are connected you cannot do one without the other and so that's something that we're working very intentionally on the next item gps instructional framework implement implementation while at this time campuses are going through the the overview of those five tenets design um excuse me connect design instruct assess and reflect the curriculum instruction and assessment team is already working on the year two implementation to provide additional supports for campuses teachers especially within the context of their grade level and their content area that they can utilize to support students in their needs and then training and resources so that is a fully formed resource that will continue to expand and grow and get better finally providing access to universal screeners to continue to target students needs so that we can help guide schools and in terms of whatever additional support they need whether it be additional tutoring whether that be at lunch after school i know that we have implemented some additional tutoring resources as a result of some funds that we were awarded so those are things that we're working hard to do additionally we're using those universal screeners to identify students for summer support programs also we are the students that participated in those summer support programs for uh summer of 2021 we are continuing to track their progress and will come full circle with them at the end of the school year to really decide how impactful those supports were throughout the school year and then in addition to that we are also doing a um what we're referring to as a reboot of our assessment platform so last year we um were at the place to roll out a new assessment platform which hindsight is always 20 20 but that's when it was going to start and so we had a lot of fun with that last year but we really were able to coming on board and joining the team and listening to a lot of the feedback that we got from summer administrating administrator meetings and planning with site administrators teachers there was a lot of feedback that was given and it was very clear that there was a lack of understanding about the new assessment platform so we really just started from scratch and rather than last year a lot of the trainings had to happen through webex we weren't able to bring out the experts from the the company we weren't able to um allow teachers to come in and work through things with them hand on hand to be able to help them be able to use the tool in the most efficient and effective way and get it into their classroom which is where we're gonna make a difference with students and so some of the things that we've already done and just our plan for this entire school year is we just pretended like it was year one all over again we uh did an initial training with all campus site testing coordinators so that they felt that we did a train the trainer model so we brought experts from the company out we were able to do a train the trainer model so that those site testing coordinators could go back and train their entire staff and they are now equipped instead of having to call mrs burton or myself they can now have those tools and know where to find them in the platform and what the connections are to be able to get answers to questions that they may have on the spot instead of having to to reach out when we have as many schools as we do then they're stuck waiting and so we didn't want them to have to wait in addition to that training we have set up trainings and began we've already started this but our district administrators that are out at sites helping if that's coaches coordinators directors even superintendency we have a different level of training that they are going through so that everybody can speak the same language where because of the change the verbiage all changes and where we used to have this commonality when we had ati and galileo everything is different and it doesn't equate to being the same so we have taken the time to make sure that all of our stakeholders are speaking the same language so there's less confusion because we realized too that there were a lot of times where somebody would be asking a question and when you really got to the root of their question they were asking using the wrong term to describe what they were trying to ask so we have done that as well and then we are um bringing out experts from the the company with the screeners so there's different aspects that tie into that and and we are really starting from scratch so um more than happy to answer any questions specifically on that but we are going to continue to try to get feedback from people and meet them where they are there are some schools that um were able to dive in deeper on their own and kind of ran with it last year and so we want to meet them where they are and if that means the next step is creating common assessments for plcs and getting that into the hands of the teachers and how to evaluate the data and run reports that's what we're doing with some for others it may be that they're still struggling when it comes to administering our district assessments or if there is a screener or something like that and maybe not knowing how to even find a report or what to do with it next and so if that's where a school or a plc or a certain level is at we're meeting them where they are in in that regard in addition to that we are in the platform we are working toward the creation of end of semester assessments for all of our secondary courses so when we have students that um transfer in and we used to have district assessments as the standards have changed the assessments that we use for different purposes um are are out of date and so this illuminate has a group of experts that are working with our coordinators to basically update our assessments that we are using and so that actually that body of work began last year and is continuing into this year and we have a plan in hopes to get through all of those core areas so that we have created assessments that are the same across the district and all of the areas dr cox yes and miss burton as it relates to that bullet point can you be specific as to one who the designers creators are of those assessments and what role does the classroom educator play in the design and creation of that yes so um and i'm going to answer this and fully look to brandy to chime in or mrs burton at any point to add to it because this has been her area of expertise for much longer but historically the district has had to rely on using our teachers to create these assessments and it's it's like a full-time job it's a lot of work and teachers are are unfortunately there they have a full-time job and creating assessments that are summative in that nature that align to standards and the complexity and the rigor that needs to be there it's a lot of work and so the company that we illuminate they do have a panel of experts that are content experts in every field that we're creating these assessments in and so historically if we brought in english teachers here we had to rely on which teachers were available which ones could work after hours and so sometimes if we were like i'll use math as an example we may be relying on department chairs to create an assessment for like algebra one and they may not be the algebra one teacher but that's the math teacher that we could get and they were doing the best that they could so we are pretty thrilled with the experts that we have now that's not the end-all be-all so our district coordinators who are content experts as well but may or may not have taught every single course within their content they are responsible for reviewing the blueprint and understanding the standards in the pacing guide and what is responsible there that gets communicated to the company who has this same expertise but this is their full-time job they create the test questions that meet the complexity the in-depth nature of the standard and what it is that we are wanting to see based on the student's skill level and deliverable once they create those assessments they get shared back with so it's a very it's a very long process they get shared back with the coordinators at this point coordinators um there's been a little bit of a different process that was used last year and now where there's going to be a cyclical type of review because whenever standards change and things like that at that point the coordinator is going to review it and provide feedback to the company if we either disagree with questions we know now um with different things changing even in our state that we want to make sure that while we work out of arizona and we know gilbert public schools policies and regulations that any of those standard questions are standards questions and not necessarily specific to a certain content or region and so it really should come back to the standard and not the content so the coordinator is reviewing it and vetting it for that and then they give that feedback the company then revises based on our need the coordinator at this point they may reach out to department chairs and get feedback from teachers to vet some of it but we are not having them send the entire test in in full length because of test security and we want to make sure that we maintain that level of test security to make sure that those assessments stay more confidential if that makes sense and we don't want them going through from email to email and potentially not being secure so that's the process at this point does that answer your question yeah so at at some point at full implementation because this is a constant revision process correct because the document never matures it continues to live correct i'm suspecting that our end goal is to seek common data relative to end of course on every campus so that we can derive similarities differences etc is that a correct assumption that is accurate and thank you i couldn't have articulated it better so yes thank you and that will in all of the conversations that i know are ongoing um with our governing board in our cabinet everything goes back to the instruction in the classroom our plc work our work with instructional framework it's all intertwined this isn't something new or different it's just a piece of the puzzle that provides that quantitative data to allow teachers to save some time it's there and then they can move forward and the assessment platform in itself allows teachers to create even their own common assessments weekly in the same exact fashion where it's attached to the standard and it has all of those capability capabilities that you just discussed within a smaller conversation and then with the body of work that we're doing right now the long-term goal is to provide though that as a summative district-wide and like the bigger end picture so thank you i'm impressed with one that we've alleviated that burden from the classroom teacher since they do have a full-time job as you pointed out but that there is a feedback mechanism where their input is factored into the final assessment in some form and and that there is also obviously the utilization of that particular assessment and their strand of the curriculum so that they can evaluate even further so uh glad to see that that we've come upon something that allows the educator to be a significant participant but not have all of the burden of creating the assessment and then evaluating its design and its data points so thank you you're welcome and thank you i we just appreciate the support um that the board has given in in allowing us to move in this direction so it's been a like i said this this body of work started a year two years ago with planning last year attempting to roll it out and implement during a pretty difficult year and so we're excited now with some of those um uh barriers in the way um things are better this year and it's allowing us to move in a direction that's more positive and and it's going to get better year after year so a couple of other things that we just want to add is the um one assessment that you'll you'll note that is going to be added in and we're really excited to use this for many different reasons is the psat nmsqt we are going to be administering that to all of our 10th graders and this is going to allow us now that our two state assessments are those national assessments they are there's going to be some some work to be done since those are not necessarily state standards test which is what we've seen historically so there's a positive there and that we know that it is it is going to allow us to focus on the students future and where they're going and but with that we also know that we need to put in different interventions and targets and supports to help our students to be able to be successful on these new state assessments and so the psat we were very grateful that uh the district has supported us and being able to implement this so thank you um but with that it is they are now partnered with khan academy and so once we do this fall administration all of that data will be received the they say the first week of december so i'll be waiting december 1st for that and once that starts we hope to have uh we we will have a plan to and we're already we've already started having conversations to train and educate um all of the stakeholders on what each of these assessments mean and then what available resources are there to support and help the progress and improvements with our students and it really with all of the assessments that we've talked about for the high school level specifically they they come with so many benefits because they do um like student interest inventory and so there is other data that we will get back that is beyond just taking an assessment that helps us to really meet the students where they are what their goals are what their future like based on what the data gives us and so the data that comes from this will help us to do that and then in addition to that it will give us identifiers of students that could potentially qualify next year as a junior as a national merit and we do have several national merit students across the district each year and our hope is that with this that it will just increase that number which for everybody just to to even say it for anybody that's watching the board meeting um national merits the the scholarships i mean that's full ride um to a four-year university at some of our most prestigious institutions in the united states and so it is a huge recognition but it also comes with um a lot of positive scholarship and opportunities for them in their future so we're excited to move forward on that and then the one of the things that we want to touch on as well is when i'm going to note back to some of the data we we noticed that our english data there was a little bit where we saw the degree decrease being a little bit more of a decline even though we're still above the state and the county when we when we see that we want to act on it and be proactive and not reactive and so um noting that that was in english we are excited to uh just share with everybody as most of you already know that we are doing a 7 through 12 ela curriculum adoption and we believe that through that work and getting a more up-to-date current curriculum for our 7th through 12th grade that that is going to be the support that's needed to bring our students and what's happening in the classrooms and really help support the teachers um with updated curriculum that's going to meet the needs of the standards but also something that's rigorous enough and has the supports to meet all of the needs of what we've discussed up until this point so we just wanted to thank you one more time for allowing us to move in the direction to do that adoption and show the connection to the data and where we feel like it's going to make a an impact in the classroom and on our data student by student and then big picture accountability data so at this time that is the end of our formal presentation but mrs burton and i are both open for questions so are there any questions that we can answer for you board members any questions i i i do have a comment and a question so first off thank you i really appreciate digging in and hearing about our students and using data as a flashlight so that we can really take each student help them where they are instead of you know when i went to school as kind of people learned it or they didn't and you just went on and instead of doing that we're making sure that each student learns what they need to know so they can make the next step instead of struggling and continuing to struggle we help them with that and i really really appreciate that that's so important for everyone to be successful and to reach those high expectations that we have the question i had has to do with the ela adoption because we talked about consumables and i do since i was part of the springboard adoption i do remember bringing in the consumable book that got carried around a lot and it was very beaten up how are we going to manage with consumables because these aren't heavy-duty textbooks so that they last through the year and students can use them so and i i may defer to dr newman but i i know at this point um in the process with the adoption we are currently receiving all of the different call for resources and so we're we're that's where we're at and so i know that last year the attempt was looking at trying to do the adoption um and knowing that we're starting now we're in the very early phases of that timeline i know that there has been conversation about the consumables and even what the curriculum is going to look like in regard to digital resources versus that accessibility to homework and while being in the class and sustaining uh for all of those pieces um for like just sustaining the um longevity of them and so i i guess without being a part of the conversation to what you're referencing i don't know specifically um if you're just asking like i guess i'm i'm needing a little clarity on what about the consumables that you're curious about well i i guess just that i in thinking about it after our last discussion at the last uh board meeting where we were talking about this um there was a board meeting where a student brought in their consumable textbook curled up battered because you know our prior practice has been a set of textbooks in the classroom and a set of textbooks at home consumables we didn't do that and so just in having to be carried around and and their paper not hardback they're just more i wouldn't say fragile but more apt to to have challenges and i just want to think about that as we're dealing with students also you know how much students carry with them and in their backpack is always an issue because yeah we don't have any lockers and if they have a sports team they have to carry all that as well as their so i think when we talk about the adoption and we're looking at those pieces we need to think about those parts absolutely and i appreciate you sharing and we do have um our first committee meeting which i believe is uh the week after we return from fall break um i will gladly i'm a part of all of those committee meetings so i'll gladly bring that and share that um i at this time right now i will share that a lot of our conversation too is when we lasted a curriculum adoption for ela and when you talk about a textbook here in a textbook that we as a district have moved in a different direction altogether with even having one-to-one devices and so technology has advanced so much and our district is very supportive of that so the different options we're looking at compared to where we were and even what's happening right now are vastly different but i i will definitely bring that and be prepared for that um when we are coming back specifically to talk about the ela adoption okay ela and math because um you know i mean it's just so important to to make sure it's accessible and you know i'm sure those kids are way more technology um able than i am in you know looking at and performing to those things but you know each child is different we just have to make sure that we take those things into account absolutely so i really appreciate all the hard work that's been put in and this discussion student achievement should be our focus and is our focus as a board and so i really appreciate all that you guys are you two are doing and the whole department of teaching and learning i think that's really important thank you board members anything else thank you guys dr newman dr cox ms burton thank you very much i think it has portends some really great things for vertical articulation as well within the entire district so congratulations it's work well done we'll move to item seven those two reports were timely and very beneficial item seven is consent agenda items and we are open and available for emotion i'm i move that we approve the consent agenda items as presented thank you ms eugetti is there a second oh second thank you mrs wood there is a motion and a second is there any discussion mr parker i'm just checking to see if you're still with us i'm still here thank you seeing that there is no discussion then we will vote on the consent agenda as presented all those in favor please signify by saying aye aye all right all those pose the same motion carries five zero we'll now move to item eight which is action items for consideration discussion direction and possible approval most of these items if not all of these items are first read policy issues so we move to item 8.01 policy development first read iib dr mccord any introductory remarks thank you dr santa cruz governing board members we bring for you tonight four policies that have went through the first read at the policy committee meeting bringing in their bringing them here for your approval the first one is policy iib which is class size it specifically calls out special education and that is where this policy originated from through asba through the legislation of this last last year that just ended this summer and so we're required to have something in writing in regards to class size for special education and this is what has come from again on advice from asba thank you dr mccord you've heard the introductory remarks is there a motion i move that we approve policy development first read of policy iib class size thank you ms eugetti is there a second a second thank you mrs humphries any discussion i would just like to to add so that the public knows that there's been a lot of discussion on all four of these prior to this as dr mccord said in our our policy meetings thank you mr eugetti with no further discussion we will vote on item 8.01 all those in favor please signify by saying aye aye all those pose the same motion carries five zero item eight point zero two is the first read policy bdf dr mccord thank you dr santa cruz governing board members again this has went through the first read at a policy committee meeting basically this is highlighting that any governing board advisory committee that is developed by the governing board and their appointed members as such needs to follow the open meeting law procedures and that means they have to have minutes and post those meetings so we wanted to make sure that we got that into policy and followed state law thank you dr mccord you've heard the rationale review is there a motion on 8.02 i move that we approve 8.02 policy development for street of policy bdf advisory committees thank you miss wood is there a second second thank you jenny and mr parker any discussion seeing that there is no further discussion we'll vote on item 8.02 first read policy bdf all those in favor please signify by saying aye aye all those opposed the same motion carries five 5-0 item 8.03 first read policy bedd dr mccord thank you dr santa cruz governing board members again another recommendation by asba this was born out of some of the issues that governing boards experienced not just in our state but nationwide essentially adding another letter point to this policy which states the governing board president may recess the meeting without a vote of the governing board in order to maintain decorum and the governing board meeting rules of order thank you dr mccord item 8.03 first read is there your emotion submit thank you miss humphries is there a second second thank you mrs eugenie any discussion i just would yes this is just the first read and so we will take it back to policy and we've received some input on it as well from our public so we'll we'll definitely discuss this at policy meeting yes this will go back for round two dr santa cruz thank you i i do appreciate the comments on policy um but a lot of times our policies we receive policy advisories through the arizona school board association for legal reasons sometimes we have to put those things in and i think this is one of those where they just want to clarify what might be a common practice for a recess but you know we're all board members learning as we go and in a difficult situation it's nice to have things spelled out i'm sure so but we can look and see what the legal actual legal requirements are yes and be sure that there are i want to discuss this again is what i'm saying yes there is no problem and that's why we're doing a first read it will go back for policy review on policy committee and we'll discuss further and bring it back for a vote on a second read and adoption so we will any further discussion if not then we will vote on item 8.03 first read b-e-d-d policy those favor please signify by saying aye aye those opposed the same motion carries 5-0 8.04 policy development first read policy b-e-d-h dr mccord thank you dr santa cruz governing board members if you'll recall we actually did a second read on this policy about a month ago and then we got the policy advisory and there was something added in and that was letter e basically it says presentations for unsolicited services will not be permitted companies or businesses offering services of possible interest to the district should send information to the district office for distribution to the appropriate school district department and and and i read that as people aren't allowed to get up and and sell us stuff during board meetings does anybody read that differently there's a process for that i can i concur with your your assessment 8.04 is there a motion so moved thank you miss humphreys is there a second second thank you ms eugetti any discussion again this is the first trade so we'll discuss it again correct all right seeing no further discussion we'll vote on item 8.04 first read policy b-e-d-h all those in favor please signify by saying aye hi those pose the same motion carries five zero item nine request for future agenda items nine point zero one again board members should you have any items for a future agenda please make contact with miss wilson and we will submit your request and review that for an agenda item 10.

i think 38. i could be mistaken though yeah bottom vivian vivian trangizi will be coming in big boot minichog right back again up to slattery i might have been offside though lukassic makes a nice defensive play she's going to look up for catanzarity she takes a quick one-touch pass but it comes back to ray ray is going to put it up to trangizi trangiezi's gonna throw it up the sideline to sara solo cacovio makes a nice defensive play and the ball is gonna go out of bounds looks like it's gonna be a spartan's goal kick here gabby michalski will send it to caroline lukassic but it's taken by slattery ball comes off of macholsky's foot it's going to be a miniature throw-in ball will be directed back towards up out of bounds looks like we got a sub coming in sarah solo will be replaced by number five zoe cardano machalski will try to clear it out comes back to slattery she'll chip it up a little too high tallis tries to clear it bit of a missed kick there but she's able to get it up to brown midfield minnetonka possession little trip up there by morneau no call by the ref he's letting him play chad yeah no tight game you know don't want to make it into a refs controlled game that was definitely i believe was out of bounds there very late call by the ref and ref succumbs to very very late yeah he definitely succumbed to miniatures calls i don't think that the ref saw that there i don't think so either i think that he heard the by reagan reagan will take another throw in she'll send it up to rita michalski will kick it up caroline lukas makes a nice pass and more no more no to lukassic and slattery will have a go at it slattery wins that one ball comes back tomorrow no nice pull back move she'll move it across the field nice little touch pass lukassic she's got some running room she's gonna send it up to brown just a little far out of reach brown can't quite catch up to it that could have produced something there right idea spartans had the momentum going up field and some numbers minichog throwing for number eight reagan demmers and roman will kick the ball comes back out to smith the minichog right back tallas with a nice pass over to lukassic to switch fields lukassic up to brown brown will send it back to kaley lukassic she gets shoved in the back good defensive play though and a through ball from rita goes right to de she's just going to pick it up reset rito was looking for olivia crooks there on the through ball and deforio is going to punt it out she's got a deep kick it comes to smith smith will try to make a play it's deflected and ball comes to lucas like luke cassicle's trying to find brown in the slot spartans getting some nice offensive possession here mourinho will deflect it back to ray and ray will touch it out of bounds some nice pressure by morning kylie ray i believe is a super seven this year oh i believe so based on my sources you're just guessing i do have a source who's your source um one of her uh opposing actually okay teammate on uh the spartans kayla kasich opposing is a good friend i believe with kylie ray ah and i have the source from her brown with the ball probably pretty reliable though send us up to luke kasich that'll go out of bounds off of minichog who cast it with the throne other lucas the sisters caroline will throw it in to katanza 80.

at least moved by tanzania there g naught will defend the ball comes up to the top of the 18 for luke kasich she falls down tries to make the slide tackle there just a little bit too far out of her reach nice cross path tomorrow no but she's unable to gain control lukassic with a touch pass tries to split the d to brown she'll have a free kick from from about 30-ish yards out i would say 25 30. 30 yards out is the goal is to place the back of the end zone 20 plus 10. it's gonna be an indirect kick and katanzarito will take the kick but she sails it over the net way too high and we've got some subs coming in for miniature number 11 lily kane and number um lexi stone they will replace number 24. olivia crooks in number gabriella rita nice touch pass there but alice will send it up the side tries to find smith a little out of reach tight game chad surprised to come down to the wire some noise from the spartan crowd the spartan student section looks to be coming alive a little bit need a little bit more out of them very very brief there's only about yeah 10 10 voices involved in that eruption i wouldn't call it an eruption well for what for the sounds that i've heard throughout this game from that student section i would say it's an eruption thomas and oh thomas and number five miniature of zoe cardano go up for the head ball and thomas will get called for not really sure but anyways it's gonna be a kick for minichog and it comes out to isabelle fergus and the ball will come out of bounds off of haley brown's foot it's going to be a miniature throwing she'll make a chip shot up to kane kane is contested by kokovia and kokovia will touch it out with her left foot preventing a possible cross by kane miniature with the throw in there's 40 left in the second half spartans are up one nothing ball will be deflected out of bounds on the goal line it will be a goal kick for taylor de florio spartans will have a sub coming in number 20 stephanie lacourie for number 17 tiatalus pretty back and forth game so far absolutely this second half has not been lopsided but hopefully they won't uh minichok won't be able to like take control again like they did in the end of that first half that last 10 minutes they got to keep it even here hopefully they can hold on to this one goal lead here maybe get a well corey fires it up the sideline and gets touched out of bounds by one of the miniature defenders little nice insurance goal would be nice but i think that we might not have kicked off i've gotten clarification that it's tia tolus not tallas i've i've always heard tallest i've always said tallest i don't i know her as tallas maybe it's my massachusetts accent according to mr freeman he's a very bright human so we should definitely listen to him right chad he teaches computer science at east long middle high school absolutely stellar academic all right mr freeman you have stellar academics i know her as solace and ball is out of balance so it's going to be a kick for de florio i think it looks to be uh some equipment adjustments here from carolina kasich she'll be re-tying her shoe i think i'm just making sure that doesn't interfere i think i'm going to roll tallis as well i honestly don't know if he's correct i don't either but you know what they made a valiant effort to try and prove us wrong so i respect it but we and it's gonna be a red throw in more no's gonna chuck it up to lou kasich cass could head it back to more no more noah will pop it up out of bounds it's going to be a miniature throw in now for number eight minute jog demers there lukassic with the ball around the halfway mark of the field brown gets the ball she sends it to katanza reedy in the middle unfortunately a little too much pep on it sizzles by all comes up to luke kasich caroline lukassic with it now at midfield she'll give it to moore no nice little give and go pass there from morneau and caroline lukassic she'll keep the ball in bounds send a cross up into the middle of the field and the ball is kind of juggling around caleb kasich will get a shot off just around the pk mark and a great save almost able to volley that end great save there by the minute chalk goalkeeper number one alyssa russell yeah alyssa russell that's her name defloreo will pick up the ball she's gonna punt this one down she's directing traffic out there she'll let it fly comes about to midfield where fergus will touch it over to stone stone will send it up to cardano and it looks to be a penalty on minute jog lucasic will be kicking herself watching film whether it be tomorrow or tonight whatever that yeah sure of it good scoring opportunity though from the spartans if you don't get scoring opportunities then it's something to really be worried about yeah prop sir for putting yourself into that position you know if you don't get scoring opportunities and you know then then there's don't worry about it you don't score yeah exactly they don't always go on the net there's a goalkeeper in there for a reason there's their job is to keep the ball out of the net and that is exactly what russell was able to do there you ever play goalie brady yeah back in my uh elementary school days actually uh no more so like first grade or second grade or something were you good well i mean kids had about five mile an hour shots so oh ball comes up to lukassic no offside call she'll get a shot at night and a great defensive poke check there from the back blue kasich almost oh lou kassick just missed the net it went right in the net it looked like miniature defender number eight reagan demmers had got her foot in just poke checked that ball off of vucasic's foot and she was unable to get a clean shot on net ball comes up to rita luke caroline lukassick nice defensive play she'll touch it out of bounds ball comes up to slattery she'll kick she'll throw it in and once again caroline lukassic will touch it out of bounds ball will be in spartan's defensive zone demmers will throw it in ball is up in the middle rita steals it she's inside the 18.

machalski goes down great pass up to the middle de floriano fergus save de florio with a nice save to keep this game at 1-0 she's having a game florio doing a great job of regulating the temple of this game and keeping the spartans in it brown trying to get the ball back there she'll win the she'll win the fight against miniature defender but i would say minute chuck doesn't look too happy not sure what number that is possibly 14 yep 14. of or no sorry 18. excuse me 18 that's emma kennedy she went after 16 pardon me it's number 16. we're all broken over two claire poindexter ball come back to russell and she'll boot it out of bounds i can't see it's okay chad it's all right 12 45 remaining in this game spartans up one nothing spartans will be in the offensive zone here off of this throw-in i'm kind of intent on proving myself smith tries to win the battle comes up to outside the 18 and stone will clear it ball comes out to number 18 of maddie la julia her first time in tonight kokovia tries to go through some defenders ball stolen by smith comes out to ferguson nobody home in midfield a through ball up to slattery but macholsky's there to clear it kokovia tries to get a touch on it but it's cleared out by kylie ray fergus she'll put a chip shot up to sarah solo little body action sarah solo and rita collide rita goes down look corey on defense that was right it is 18 it wasn't it was 18 i knew it it was emma kennedy on our debate that we had there i've been locked into her number this entire time she finally turned around i could see see chad i was right you were right do you feel better now chad so much okay just as long as you're feeling better all right are you ready for this chemistry quiz we have tomorrow you ready for that absolutely not i know let's go get it baby absolutely not not even in the slightest right now honestly well corey with the throwing on the far side of the field and the spartans and minichog's defensive zone you know i think that you started out that sentence with the chemistry quiz not knowing where you're going chad so chemistry i don't know chad i was just making sure you were ready all right lukassic will send it up to la julia chemistry she'll pop it up to the middle you know brady was once off to sarasola will take the ball outside she'll cross up to the middle tries to get tanzarity brown brown and fergus sarasota will chip it up to rita rita with a nice touch pass over to stone stone with a give and go back to rita but a good read by cacovia to prevent that scoring opportunity ball comes up to lujulia at midfield she'll chip it off of one of her own teammates standing on the sideline and the ball player first oh it actually hit off a minute shot player maybe not one of her teammates am i bad well it hit off of that player and then gotcha oh rita with a nice touch move she'll go around macholsky and the ball is cleared out almost under the scene heavily by roman boston sports update for you red sox are up one nothing still in the fifth inning rangers are now beating uh score is currently two to one rangers against the boston bruins goal scored by capo kaka of the rangers and then capo capo excuse me and then jack studnika scored for the bruins so we're two to one in the second period here comes cacovia she's going coast to coast right now she's going to try and find tanzarini up the middle because tanzania with some rum she'll shoot it scores emma katanzarini with a beautiful goal great job by cacovia taking the space that was given she flies up field beautiful pass over to katanzarini in the middle and katanza reedy passes in spartans are up two-nothing cantanzuru was able to make a nice touch off that pass there she was able to keep control of it and move it past that defender and get a great shot on that 849 that might just be the insurance goal that you saw meadow needed we got some subs coming in for minichog number 20 i'm having difficulty finding it on the sheet chad uh gianna sakowski and i believe a couple others stone is out and slattery and number 36 liliana romp did we mention the assist on that goal yes it was assisted by kokovia she went coast to coast made a beautiful pass to tanzarity great play great play i mean there's nothing better maybe perfect i have that it's beautiful but charles case oh and a bit of a collision there and covia goes down and she's holding her leg [Music] she's got a knob she's shaking it off she's all right she's jogging it back to her defensive position minichog i believe has a i wanna sit yes throw in here high throwing for miniature they'll send it up to the middle to fergus de florio's able to pounce on it yeah she was able to get there first crashing far post good save there by de florio great game for her so far 7 24 remaining spartans up two nothing one nil two nil two now two nil two nil two nil i like that two now all right that's enough jet tuna ball sent up to brown in the middle good play there by demers to keep the ball from breaking the defensive line of miniatur caroline lukassick and number 24 miniature olivia crooks are going at it mourinho will give a little shove there to fergus back to ray rayo cleared up to midfield looks to be possible high foot i believe by spartans there fergus will send it up and ball comes out to minichog's number olivia crooks but she's unable to get a clean shot off and defloreo prevents the ball from going out of bounds she'll get a punt here looks like tia thomas will be checking into the game at the next whistle moreno over to roman roman's gonna send it out wide to smith but it's intercepted by miniature kalu kasich regains possession sends it over to her sister caroline lukassic good defensive play there by number eight and there's going to be a penalty fergus will be taking the free kick she'll send it up to crocs chelsea tries to clear that shot on net way outside the 18 and a good diving stop by de florio five minutes remaining two to nothing or oreo will boot it up to half two no spartans lucasic fergus gains possession she'll one touch it up but it's intercepted by morneau brown with the ball touches it to lukassic luke kasich with a give and go pass to morneau mourinho will look for the cross she'll make a move make a move up to the top of the key to luke she'll get a shot on then it's just left of the net lukassic has had a couple three great scoring opportunities tonight gotta cash in at some point she's due for one be careful what you say chad she might kick you in the halls tomorrow i'm not saying as an insult i'm saying it in as a uh it's gonna happen at some point it's gonna happen it's gotta happen it's gone yeah she's due i wouldn't insult any salt no i know you wouldn't chad but she still might just want to kick you just kick you you know no kaylee would never do that yeah no i don't if i get kicked in the hallways i would and there's dolls taken by tala shill's cleared up to sm smith a through ball tries to get it to brown comes out to kaley lukassic her and g not get up little spin move and the cory goes down this cross there rita flies up the sidelines but she's unable to find a miniature player de florio with a free kick here is it a free kick no it's not no she she's just running clock yeah smart play there that's a good heads-up play by deforio burn some clock off lukaszkin fergus looks to be a push off there from fergus so spartans will have a free kick from about midfield covey will be taking it she looks to make a pass sends it up to lou kasich to brown brown sends it back to caroline lukassic caroline tries to get it middle and ball is deflected bounds by minichog defender and it'll be a throw-in for caroline lukassic she'll give it to catanzariti who that was definitely a handball from what i just saw no i think that was an optical illusion i'm pretty sure she did i it could have been an obstacle illusion but it's not the same pretty clear that catanzarity it hit tanzarity's arm and lukassick with a sh goes through the middle and a slide tackle play by kylie ray prevents a clean shot from lukassic able to split the middle give herself some space unfortunately cannot get the shot off great play though by ray lukassick again going up the corner her and ray are going at it to brown in the middle she's gonna try and get a through ball over to smith smith gets kicked in the back back of the leg excuse me there's gonna be one minute remaining on the clock more no will keep the ball oh that's and ray pushes more no down absolutely and it's gonna be a free kick for the spartans with 40 seconds remaining machovsky will take her time burn some of this clock off two nothing spartans two nil excuse me morenola try and get it to katan's reedy splitting the defenders unfortunately she's unable right ed yeah some good ball movement there lukas smith too kasich it's an intercepted by 24 minute jog olivia crooks crooks will send it up a little too far macholski will kick it off of let's play that number six of minute jog and there's two seconds remaining in this game and that'll do it spartans win two nothing against the minute shot falcons thank you for joining us here tonight i'm brady dobeck alongside chad o'brien we'll see you next time thank you

[Music] good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another edition of the holton meets coaches corner here at aces wild for week six football this week coming up with the east salton wood river oilers alex schlemmer and coach jermaine here with us again and coach jermaine man look at that it's okay we were just talking about coach jermaine coach horner with us this week coach coming off the loss with freeberg how's the mood this week in practice and what's the outlook for this week you're thinking uh well certainly the mood is uh i would say even more tense than what it was last week um i think the guys understand certainly the coaching staff understands backs are against the wall at this point with only uh four games remaining sitting at two and three um you wanna play in week ten this is a must so but but all in all a pretty decent a decent week of practice still recovering from a few a few injuries but i think our guys will be ready you know we're going to be facing a a team that kind of reminds me a lot of roxanna in a way in terms of their style power football and come right at you but what i think they are going to present that maybe we didn't see as much of it roxanna is their skilled kids are a little faster and a little more experienced their their skill kids are all back from last year and i expect that if our kids aren't ready um it's going to be something a little different than what maybe people might think if all they're doing is reading the records and and reading the newspaper yeah we'll get into this week's match up a little bit a little later on but talking about last week's game with freeburg freeburg starts off we knew it was going to be a hostile environment we knew it was going to be a fun environment i guess you could say loud they were doing their homecoming getting their state rings and everything and we came out i mean first quarter nothing really special freeburg started the scoring on 11-yard run nothing special we come out first thing second quarter mcconaughey gets a pass from vaguely for 80 yards tie it up 7-7 you're feeling good freeberg comes down scores again but then jared even called it he goes right before halftime coach warner's always got something up his pocket and up his sleeve you know he's going to have a trick play and we talked about the trick play if you will after the game and you know you're going into halftime 14 14.

you're feeling pretty good you got that momentum that you had rolling with you we had a goal line stand again so the first half you couldn't have been too upset with how everything was going going in 14-14 yeah truth be told uh alex honestly uh i was prepared to be to feel good about going down at halftime down 14-6 honestly when we got the ball there with a minute 56 to go or whatever it was uh on that last drive before we scored uh the mindset was uh let's not do anything silly here and give them the ball back risking that you might be down 21-6 at halftime i thought it was going to be a mental victory for us at halftime even if we were down 14-6 and so but as it started to unfold uh and mcconaughey was doing his thing and dom was doing his thing you know a couple big plays got us in a position where now all of a sudden under a minute to go you're thinking well heck we might have a chance to score here so yeah we kind of reached in the bag of tricks a little bit and um you know the kids were able to execute it which was awesome and then and then on top of that to to get the end zone on two-point conversion to tie it up really gave us some momentum going at halftime and you know it didn't work out from there but certainly felt good about where we were at halftime so like you're saying it's a mental win you're knowing that you're getting the ball coming out after halftime so that's also on your mind too correct going into that final drive yeah absolutely and i think if you i mean i don't know i don't expect everybody to study the game we study it or to know the ins and outs of everything but you know when you when you uh when you compare uh maybe statistics but more importantly players returners all those kind of things and you look at it on paper fourteen to six at halftime was something we were gonna be okay with you know certainly uh they're pretty talented team and and we were worried that they were gonna maybe be able to have their way with us and so that's kind of where our mindset was so a preview of this week is blue jays week mcconaughey and vaguely played blue jays together back in the day mcconaughey was a quarterback so kind of a little bit of a reminiscent for those two whenever they were able to mcconaughey gets the touchdown to vaguely defensively another goal line stand though once again and that's coach germain talked last weekend ben don't break and that was another huge stop for us give us a little bit of momentum again give us a chance and defensively got to be pretty proud of what they did this week yeah i have been we've been extremely proud of the defense they're keeping us in ball games without a doubt and you know the bottom line is they're still on the field too much and uh you know i attribute a large portion of that to the offensive uh not being very productive throughout the course of the year and we just have to be more productive and and be more consistent we're you know we're good for one or two plays and then we look horrible for four plays and then we look good for three plays and we're bad for one more and we're just the consistency's not there and um you know part of that's youth and and uh but but you know you're in week six now so you can't use that as an excuse anymore and we just have to be more productive but the defense has done a great job to stop them on the goal line again and give us a chance at the end of the game and you know we got it down there but you know basically we're you know played with a quarterback the entire second third and fourth quarter who about you know had a half of a half of a hand if you will could barely throw the football which left you know left us being pretty one-dimensional and you know we're hoping he'll be able to recover and be good this week and defensively again gave up 250 yards rushing but you had uh two four six seven guys that got carried so when you're going into that you know you always talk about read your keys defensive line got to do their job linebackers got to do their job on their one touchdown that they scored towards the concession stand i believe that was their second or third touchdown second and that was another one you know just got to make the plays you had the guys in the right spot it came down our sideline could have forced him out and the guy just made a pretty good mood and kept his balance and got down the end zone yeah you know part of that there's there's a couple different ways to look at that it was you know we were in the right spots just not making plays and part of that is you got to tip your cap to them uh their their ability their strength their speed uh the other part of it is the number of kids we have going both ways you know you might be in the right spot but you know do you have what it takes at that point when you're that tired to be able to execute and make a tackle and that's kind of where we've been in a lot of these situations and we're just allowing them on the field too long and it wears kids down you know when you've got nine kids going both ways but again hey it is what it is it's what we have and that's what we have to work with and we're gonna try to do a better job and maybe get a few more kids in the game this week to give kids a rest and that final drive pretty much at the end of the game you're thinking man we got 98 yards i think we got the ball to two had about a minute and 20 left to go and you're thinking man we got a tall task ahead of us and all sudden you're down at the 30 and you're going oh we got a shot and on that play there they're playing cover four i think is what it was and like you said you had a quarterback with half a hand so props to you guys for getting at least down there and giving yourself a shot a lot of teams might look at the two-yard line and go well you know what it's a great game so props to the offense perhaps the defense giving you a chance and props to the offense of getting down there and giving yourself an even bigger yeah right yeah we you know we executed at that point in time when we needed to just wish we'd had a couple more timeouts i think it would have been different because if you know you get in a certain position like that especially when the clock's getting down under 20 seconds and you can't run the football you know you have to throw it and it makes it hard to be able to do that you got to be able to try to throw it and get out of bounds at the same time and you know at this level that's a little tougher they make it look easy on saturdays and sundays sometimes if only we all had an aaron rodgers on our team over tom brady yeah or half the receivers yeah all right folks well we're gonna send it to our first break when we come back we're going to talk week 6 football and we're going to talk our conference standings and conference schedules we'll be back with the holton meets coach's corner right after this welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the houlton meets coaches corner here at aces wild alex schlemmer and coach warner with us here tonight and coach looking at the conference standings here salem leading the way we're going to salem next week they're leading the way sitting at four and one greece central at four and one both teams two-and-oh in the conference columbia or freiburg rather three and two one-on-one in the conference columbia two and three one and one roxanna one and four wood river one and four both of them still searching for their first conference win and a little interesting to see salem up on the top of that but whenever they're scoring all the points they get that third third tiebreaker more or less and that's where they're up top yeah i've seen all these teams on film and uh you know salem like freeburg and um and brie central to an extent have a ton of guys returning from last year really no surprise to me um i i kind of i kind of felt like it would be a uh you know depending on what we would do with our lack of experience a three-horse race if you will beginning of the year so it's no surprise to me that that's where it's at uh salem's big and physical and we'll see that a couple weeks with a a three-year starter at wide receiver and a two-year starter quarterback so you know they've got some skill we've got to go there you know two hour bus ride but but all in all those three teams are very quality and um you know brie central and freeburger have already played so you know we'll see how the conference shapes out in the next couple weeks yeah all it takes you know we're not out of it sitting at one on one you've still got a shot of being a co-conference champ or something so like you said just see how it breaks up we got a win out there's no no denying that and you'd like to be that uh that get that five wins six wins get into the playoffs and heck you might be able to be a conference champ and get it for sherlock in there but yeah right gonna need a lot of help with that but going to this week's conference games columbia is going to be against east alton that'll be here at home salem goes to breeze central roxanna goes to freeberg so when you're looking at the schedule for this week what are you thinking is going to shape out i mean obviously you got that big that big match up there with salem at bree central yeah i think that'll be the the game to watch inside the conference um you know always tough to play at bree central and both those two teams are a lot alike they're big they're physical and they're well coached and that's the other thing both teams will be prepared um kind of a heavyweight heavyweight matchup 12 rounder i would say and really you know that'll be an interesting one to see who comes out on top but uh you know roxanna's still searching a little bit they've got a ton of young kids um you know primarily all sophomores and a few in juniors and then a few seniors kind of sprinkled in there but you know i think that's gonna be the game to watch for sure so now we go into this week we look at blue jay night to start the festivities and we had a video that we were showing uh today i believe it came out on the school website or facebook and everything and whenever you're watching that video it all starts down at the bottom and then it's got to work its way up to the varsity level so you got to give the credit down to those little guys and making their way up top yeah right i mean it's uh that's where it all starts that's where kids learn the game it's where kids learn to love the game it's where kids learn to hate the game maybe you know it but but they learn how the work ethic that it takes to be a football player so we love this week we love this night it was really a special night for us to get up there on tuesday and and say you know give some high fives and and watch these young kids and i know they enjoy it and uh they love to run through that tunnel man that's pretty cool for them to run through the tunnel out through the band and um that's where it all starts so it's it's fun it's a good week and i've already talked to a couple of the parents and they're like so what's this blue jay night and tail well they get to run through the tunnel and instantly the parents are like well that's awesome so something that uh blue jay parents if you're all watching come on out friday night i believe it's 6 30 is when they need to be there they'll lead the varsity team out onto the field to which we play east alton east alton's coming in at 1-4 playing eagles at two and three coach horner versus east alton coming in at six and one one loss came in 2004 on a 0-13 shutout you went to east alton do you remember anything about that game if coach jermaine were here he'd tell you everything that happened i don't remember a bunch but i do remember that coach gary carter was the guy who's their head coach at the time he's not murphy's burl uh good quality coach been around a long time um that if i remember right they were a tad bit more physical than what we were and we had a really hard time moving the football and uh they obviously were able to get in the end zone two more times than we did which which kind of uh you know you can't win if you don't score and uh and we didn't so uh that's been a long time ago though alex it's hard for me to remember that i did turn 50 this year you know it was many moons ago you turned 50 what are we talking about there so now that's the new 40 anyway yeah exactly so now our game plan coming into it this week you say they're going to be a physical team you said they were going to be a little bit on the bigger side so and now weather could also be a factor i've been watching that um i've got the rib war up here so i'm watching the i'm watching the rain and everything and they're saying it could be moving in on friday are you doing the wet ball drill or you just kind of no we haven't actually i've been i watched the weather last night and i'm counting on channel two being correct uh which that shame on me i guess but i'm counting on them coming in after midnight or so and hey if it's wet it's wet we'll uh we'll make do our kids have played in the rain before and we've got to line up and change our style a little bit we will and you know both teams have to play in it so it doesn't doesn't matter either way and and i think we'll be okay either way but we're going to stop their run they love run football you know always going to have a tight end in the game always going to have two backs in the back feel the wing back and um they're going to come right at you and then they got a couple gadgets off of it play action and all those kind of things we got to stay disciplined it's that simple this is one of those games that me and jared we we kind of hate calling because you're watching the guy to the left and also there's a reverse to the right so this is a major match up here for jermaine you know you always hear the guy say ball goes away backside a stay home kind of things like that so how are you going to get your guys to stay home i mean you know there's going to be a blunder here there yeah i think he'd tell you read your keys if you read your keys i mean you know it but but again that offense is designed to lull you to sleep enough that you you lose focus and your eyes are not in the right place it's all about training your eyes especially in the secondary you've got to train your eyes and if you train your eyes which we worked on all week long and you read your keys then you should know whenever it's passing when it's run and then the flip side of that is making sure that that the defensive ends and linebackers are doing the same thing because when you start looking into the backfield is when you start going to places where the ball's not because that's what those offenses are designed to do there's a lot of deception involved and uh if you don't raise your keys and do your assignment and not try to do something you're not coached to do that that's whenever you're playing from behind so now if we look at their defense what is our offense are they going to be big up front are they going to put seven in the box you thinking it depends on our formations but but certainly there'll be a six-man box for sure uh four down at least two linebackers depending on what we show them but they're um man we've seen them it's from a secondary standpoint we've seen them a couple different ways this year sometimes their corners could be 10 to 12 yards off even before the snap other times against other teams their their corners are up you know so we'll just have to see what they're doing we've got a plan to attack both and as long as we can throw the football i think they've got some holes but you know we've got to have time but they're big up front but i don't think we'll have a huge they're not going to be uh maybe as as a athletic as maybe moscuta or even waterloo but but as big as maybe alton marquette you know but maybe not move quite as well so you know uh we'll just see they could make some personnel changes too to try to put pressure on our quarterback now can you tell me the name of the new formation you guys put in this week with the two running backs next to vaguely and the pistol back or is that well we just called it t see okay now we're trying to think of a name we couldn't think of anything yeah well that made that one up on the fly you liked that didn't you yeah i created that one overnight actually it was it's an offshoot to uh maybe back whenever you played we used to run the formation where you had a running back on each side of you and also one in pistol okay it's the same formation doing the same stuff we just put two of them right next to one another and still doing the same kind of stuff off of it just wanted a little different look and felt like we could get guys there uh to the to the point of attack a little quicker and and and have a few plays mixed in there where we didn't have to pull lineman where we could run our power or our our uh you know our gts or whatever we were going to run and not have to use lyman to pull we just use those those two guys it's such a simple game isn't it yeah you know run the ball i think it's simple on the chalkboard i can beat anybody oh there you go fair enough all right well you got to go be an athletic director now so i think this is a a good spot to wrap it up and we'll see you friday night tomorrow night and let's hope we can get a victory over the oilers appreciate it thanks alex thank you all for listening to this week's edition of the holton meets coaches corner we'll see you tomorrow night at 6 30 from our own press box will be wired in it'll be good to go our producer here he's going to be happy and ready to rock in his own in his own stadium so we'll see you tomorrow night at 6 30 for the aces wild pregame show have a good night [Music] you

just goes out of bounds jonathan santorelli with the throwing weldon comes up and over mcmahon aggressive play there ball comes out of bounds another throw in for koran evans has the ball up the middle and there's gonna be a whistle on the play it's gonna be a long metal free kick just about at half field what do you think the ref saw there not sure chad not sure but it'll be a kick for shots he'll send it up to the middle inside the 18 and ball goes out of bounds it's going to be a goal kick for giroux fall comes out to midfield more no going out for the head ball he'll give it back to weldon well then he'll switch fields trying to find luke mazza he'll race up the sideline but a nice defensive play by shots balls taken back into possession by mazza and morneau rip a shot on net just over the crossbar good opportunity there for the spartans shaw was just a little bit too high didn't go get over it enough shots will take the kick sure you sell metal will get more opportunities he'll make a nice cut move tries to cross in front ball comes out to mazza mazzle get a toe touch on net good save by henry great opportunity just a bit off balance after receiving that pass you saw meadow with some great opportunities so far they should be able to get one soon hopefully mourinho touches it to karana mazza sends it back to biggins biggins on the far side he'll send it up long metal is racing up the sideline now weldon with a nice body there gets the guy out of bounds mcmahon trying to use his speed he'll throw it in ball comes off of looked to be a long meadow weldon might have gotten his foot in there it's gonna be another long metal throw in i would have said it that was off on meadow but ref has a better view i'm sure quran will be taking the throw excuse me oh it's gonna be a kick so there was a penalty i think weldon might have come from behind and made a little bit of contact good heinz will rip up rip it on net comes to the middle a shot from outside the 18 just goes left of the net good opportunity there for longmeadow geru will take the kick he'll just touch it up to mazza mazzle go outside to biggins biggins with a nice touch move to himself he'll get up the sideline he'll catch the ball and it goes out of bounds it'll go by longmeadow coast us but oh maybe maybe not i guess it might have been out by mazza it's a long metal throw-in it's a launched up field to quran mazzle go back to giroux jerus sends it up to the middle of the field to evans evans will get a nice head ball on mazza and the other mazza are going for it biggins tries to step up he misses the ball longmeadow with possession at midfield more no we'll touch it up kirana goes out of bounds off east long meadow longmetal throwing for chris caron seems like islam is going to get some subs in here soon dante by dante bates michael monroe and i think joe presnell ball comes up to the middle and giroud comes out of the net trying to get involved ball's kicked out of bounds so it's going to be a east long meadow goal kick here comes the subs brunel will be coming out kirana and luke mazza jerus sends it up to mourinho morneau gets a nice head ball monroe chases it down sonny mazza trying to get open more no with the ball he'll send it over to presnel president of the cup move to the inside he'll take a shot on net good look there from fresnel and henry comes up with a big stop some great finesse on that ball was able to get it to curve a little bit from the outside to the inside enzo mazza gets taken down it's monroe hines was racing up the side colin evans longmeadow possession it's going to come back but not enough sonny maz is taking off all by himself good play there by longmeadow defender got all ball yeah no call mazza tries to jump and block weldon will go up for the header comes out to presnot midfield love the aggressive play by walden so far more no long metal's got some good ball movement well then with the ball let's move to the inside there mcmahon's trying to interfere with that play ball comes up to biggins from evans biggins with a cut move he'll look for evans up the middle to monroe on the outside monroe send it inside just outside the 18 to sonny mazza to colin evans he'll shoot it and it'll just go just wide of the net on the right got some steam on that ball there nice shot great ball movement there from the spartans created a beautiful scoring opportunity monroe able to carry it upside pass it to mazza and he was able to make a little touch pass monroe fighting sends it back to biggins begins to bates bates will go to well then switching fields president on the sideline he'll give a touch pass on the outside to mourinho president's chasing down he gets tangled up [Music] with good hinds and there's gonna be a penalty so it's gonna be a free kick for east for a long metal excuse me and they'll just boot it up easy play for geru he's gonna punt it comes up to evans president tries to get it up to good hinds rogers again monroe on the defense ball comes back to biggins biggins will clear it out sonny mazz is chasing it down colin evans steps up big ends with a nice block to break up the pass stevens has some space in the middle of the field he's going to send it over to presnel president is going to take a couple touches with it sends it back to stevens nice give and go pass there a little bit of a hold on stevens there i would say so definitely saw some jersey grabbing and it's kicked out of bounds by longmeadow a couple subs coming in here for longmeadow number 16 and number two we'll have those names for you in a few seconds here finn richardson number two and number 16 connor rentul richardson used to go to our school yes he did also rental if i'm not mistaken plays goal in hockey believe you are correct colin evans will be taking the corner another good offensive chance for the spartans here evans rips it in front it's blocked by braden costas monroe's chasing it down with finn richardson all goes out of bounds ben biggins with the throw in throws it to evans evans will touch it back to biggins begins with a quick bobble able to recover tries to get it to monroe ball comes out of bounds off the longmeadow again biggins will take the throw in monroe with a quick touch pass over to evans evans will hit bates to switch fields bates with a nice touch pass president tries to get it back to bates for a give and go but it's broken up by braden cosis another aggressive play by walden there was able to get out of bounds stop the rush drawings for long meadows shoulders to boost himself up to try and reach that head bowl so longmeadow will have a free kick calling shots he'll send it to the far side looking for a head ball comes out to longmeadow stevens with a nice defensive play to prevent that scoring chance is chasing it down it's gonna be a throw throw-in for ben biggins a little cold out here tonight a little chilly masla gets a head ball on it comes back out dante bates colin evans wins that battle bates touches it over to corona coronal switch fields over to presnel it's broken up by connor no that's not kind of rental who's that 18 no that was jonathan santarelli good chance here forever good chance for evans but he's unable to get by colin schatz schatz will send it up welding with the head ball rin tool with it now he'll send it up the sideline for good hinds good hinds will make a move and try and get across stevens with a nice block to prevent the ball from entering in front of the net longmeadow will have a corner kick for chris caron he's got jonathan santorelli as an outlet he'll send it in front of the net far post it's a little long wesley rogas chases it down comes out to presnel fresno will try and chip it up to mazza comes back to presnel sonny mazzles contested by braden kosus weldon with the ball he'll send it up to sonny mazza mazza he's in control he'll take a shot on that gets redirected and goes out of bounds by henry so it's going to be a corner kick for east longmeadow subs coming in that's jacob paschetto for eso meadow and number one and number 13 i think for plum number one hayden steinberg in number 13.

monroe will chase it down he's going to win the battle sends it over to mazzle ball comes up to quran to bates bates will try to find maslow cutting through the middle and henry's able to pounce on that ball monroe is just some great wheels one of the faster kids i've ever met for sure brentool and presnel presnell gets a head ball weldon will come in and he'll win that duel bates tries to go cross field to monroe monroe gets tripped up a little bit comes back to stephen stevens fires it up longmeadow with the ball now frederick caron tries to go for the head ball he'll win it he gets a shot on net on giroux and it goes wide just right good positioning nice play there by uh the ball boy to block that ball and some subs are coming in glad to have some ball boy appreciation there luke mazza is back in the game i believe ryan moore know as well and brunel is back in as well colin evans will race up the middle buck is up to more no more noah send it to karana some more no more no rip a shot on that but it's blocked by calling a shots ball comes up to paschetto pachetta will race up the sideline gives it to morneau moreno to mazza mazza back to corona and he'll just fire one on net from about 30 yards out but it's scooped up by henry a lot of shots on that free sun meadow they're having a great game so far hopefully they'll be able to get a shot on rogue finally goes in 1750 remaining in the first half it's still a 0-0 game might have been a push it's going to be a long metal free kick just about midfield and it's a little long goes out of bounds so jeru will have a free kick here he'll boot it up to midfield nice head ball play ball comes up to good hinds will send it back to steinberg tries to get it up to i think that's carano send it up to mazza mazz is in a little battle with steinberg he'll win it sends it back to karana karana is contested by rogas brunell with it now hillar crossfield goes back to enzo mazza switches fields to weld and weldon will switch fields again tries to find luke mazza balls comes out to the middle to more no more null try and get a foot on it it's a little high we're not happy with that contact he got there he was able to get a little bit more on the ball strong opportunity for each one of them will be taken by shots comes up to the middle to kirana and oditola and mazda's got a shot on net and he'll put it in henry tried to contest him just outside the six mazza had a free shot and he's able to cash in spartans are up one nothing nice goal by eastern meadow there law model defender tried to play up on the ball and his aggression didn't work out for him there and maslow's able to bury it good heads-up play there for mazza not giving up on the ball who had the assist there more now yep ryan mourinho assisted sonny mazz on that one there's 15 42 remaining in the first half of this game brunel had the ball they'll send it back to pachetta on the outside pachello chases it down he'll send it up to luke mazza magic tries to get it to evans he's blocked ball goes out of bounds but shettle will take the throw in he'll launch it up the sideline colin evans with a nice little play there kirana with some great defense moreno ends up with the ball he'll send it out wide to brunel nice defensive play by rin tool to break up that pass karana tries to get a foot on it just misses brunel with the head ball he'll send it up to evans evans tries to get it up to mazza again but it's booted out by shots great idea there moreno to kirana shots and evans go up with it brunel step up on the attack long medal of possession at midfield good hinds he'll send it back to steinberg and brunel goes down so it's going to be a free kick for east long meadow from midfield could be enzo mazza coming up to take this he'll send it into the middle sent to his brother sonny mazza steinberg will boot it out ball comes up to chris caron and he'll launch it way past midfield comes back to giroud giroud will put it back to midfield fighting for possession and longmeadow gets called for a bit of contact there it's gonna be a free kick for patrick stevens ball comes into the middle to colin evans mazza ends up with it he'll get a touch pass up to brunell brunello trying to sneak it back door just goes over the crossbar nice pass nice shot they're almost able to put that away a great opportunity there was able to get open shots will take the kick he'll send it up to koran here comes luke mazza sends it to morneau in the middle more no rip a shot on net and it goes off the uprights just over the crossbar there spartans are still just pounding the net with shots they'll keep chipping away until they get another one henry definitely cannot fall asleep back there shots are booted up to midfield to kirana enzo mazzo with a cutback move he'll send it inside to colin evans colin evans a nice touch move he'll go and try and find far post great save by henry excuse me yes sunny mass is at top uh enzo mazza's is the center back [Music] finn richardson he tries to get it crossfield ball is taken by brunell brunel to mourinho more though the middle of evans evans got a lot of room he'll send it to karana richardson it goes off of him ball comes up to evans outside the 18 he'll get another shot on net he's taken down by odutola and henry will have a punt here he'll fire it out to midfield patrick stevens and and good heinz go up for it ball comes up to richardson it's taken by evans evans to mourinho evans is taking down on the play sonny mazzle with it now he'll send a through bottle luke mazzle up the middle and henry comes out to make a great save great through ball there right decision by henry to come out and play it and he just beat you some meadow attacker who was that was that sonny mas luke mazza luke mazza one of them one of them has us brunel sends it to karana krona to evans evans will go to pachetto on the far side back to koran on the middle and a shots will boot booted up field trying to find good hinds enzo mazel sent it to giroud giroud throw it to patrick stevens in the middle stevens has got a bit of a time he'll send it up to brunel brunell to carrana carano with a one-touch pass tries to find sonny mazza but it ends up on colin evans foot colin will go back to sonny mazzle up to colin evans again and he'll get another shot on net amazing ball movement great ball movement and another stop by henry keeping longmeadow in this game three outstanding opportunities from colin evans henry having a great night so far but i'm sure evans is due for one by now luke mazza comes out to colin evans again and karana's taken down at midfield it's going to be a kick for east longmeadow enzo mazza will be taking it we got some subs coming in here for east longmeadow number 21.

[Music] a missed head ball by presnel presle's able to get back up in position and body there 18 of longmeadows taken down jonathan santorelli that's a questionable call it's an aggressive play going on there i would come back and maybe say in sport of soccer with what i know that might not be a questionable call i don't know about that i mean i mean fresno absolutely rocked them yeah but they were both going in hard and president was just able to stay on his feet it's true it's all stronger legs you know i guess so nice throw in pass to more no but it's taken by braden cosus he'll try and send it up to i believe that's number eight or nine of longmeadow it's cleared back out to sonny mazza he'll block it out and it's touched out by braden costas dante bates will be taking the throw in sub should be coming in for long metal number 21 carson macchio machio sorry if i'm mispronouncing your name it's cleared up by evans excuse me patrick stevens tries to find mazz a president with a nice knock down ball comes up to number eight of longmeadow vito kochi sonny mazza wins that fight comes back to his brother enzo mazza mazel sent it to giroux giroux up to pachetto to karana in the middle he'll try and send a through ball up to mourinho towards the flag but it's taken by shots he'll rip it across field to thomas mcmahon balls taken by braden costas up to vito kacchi enzo mazza with a good defensive play he'll send it up to presnot president tries to get a touch on it and he's contested by number 18 of longmeadow jonathan santorelli and ball goes out of bounds it's going to be a throw-in for ben weldon there's 250 left in the first half spartans are up one nothing weldon's throwing to kirana moreno but as shots steps up and there's pachetto and along middle offensive player go down on the play see chad i thought that might have been something there yeah i guess uh refs are letting them play now because there's not a lot of time left braden costas will send it two minutes more in all drew will burn a bit of time fake out number five of longmeadow weldon with a big body ball goes out of bounds on thomas mcmahon well then we'll take the throw on some subs coming in here sonny mazzle replaced by number six colin evans and someone have taken their time here probably to uh move this up field just try and burn a little clock weld in to bait to kirana karana with a touch pass to morneau morneau switch fields to pachetto to monroe monroe with a touch past himself to create a little bit of space tries to go back to paschetta pachetto gets control of it monroe will take a huge shot 20 yards out and it goes way over the crossbar three points field goal is good shots will be taking this goal kick one minute remaining left on the clock in this first half a little push off there from vito kacchi on kirana tries to create some space for him can't do that in soccer no definitely definitely can't so enzo mazzo will be taking this kick 40 seconds remaining he'll send it over to pachetta on the far side monroe back out to pachetta pachetta will go to the sideline of morneau taken by shots shots will send it up to good hinds good hinds chases up the sideline but it just goes out of bounds so it's gonna be a spartan's throwing for patrick stevens 15 seconds remaining they're gonna try and burn a little bit of clock here they're not gonna rush to throw this ball in pachetta will launch it up field and goes to midfield three seconds remaining first half one and that'll do it one nothing game he saw meadow spartans have the lead over the longmeadow lancers he's something so far seems to have absolutely dominated that first half we'll see how they carry over into the second absolutely chad luke mazzle and colin evans with a bunch of good opportunities good scoring chances unfortunately they can't seem to tuck at home but i'm i know that they're gonna be getting some more in the second half um any other people that you have your eye on for the second half chad um i mean fresno and walden have been getting physical back on defense i like that i think they're making some great plays and uh i also have my eye on monroe on that right side with his speed i feel like for a long metal they're going to try and get good hinds the ball he's going to use his speed and try and get a through ball or something you know possibly get a scoring opportunity off of that um henry's been playing pretty solid net same with giroux so might be a little bit of a goalie battle here coming down in the second half but we'll see how it goes all around team effort so far free sun metal a lot of ball movement they're doing great yep well so we'll see you it's half time right now nine minutes remaining we'll see you then you so welcome back to east long metal high school we're starting this second half during halftime uh my partner i asked him for some sweet candies and uh he went and got me some gummy bears unfortunately it's a bit chilly out tonight so these things are rock hard i'm still chewing on the first one but thanks thanks chad i appreciate you going and get these getting these from me you're welcome you're a gentleman and a scholar mr freeman does not think you're a scholar but i do chad don't worry you're taking ap bio and ap wow what a guy doubled up baby doubled up so at the start of this second half here spartans are up one nothing one minute has passed so far sonny mazza has the ball he'll send it to weldon on the outside ball comes back to kirana he'll try and get to luke mazza a nice head ball there by number 21 of longmeadow luke mazza with the ball outside the 18.

[Music] comes back out to chris caron he'll try to clear it a sh shots or cots i'm really not sure i'm sorry if i'm mispronouncing your name but he boots it out pretty firm they are pretty firm i told you and i have ptsd chad because i cracked my jaw excuse me i cracked one of my um molars not my jaw i cracked my molars on a gummy bear when i was younger ben biggins with the ball he'll chase up the outside sends it up to luke mazza luke mazza is contested by carson macchio more no with the ball now tries to find mazza brunel picks it up nice play there by shots good defensive play but it's taking back more and more no welding will just rip a deep shot from about 25 yards out plus hoping to just hit the net but it's blocked and it comes right back to henry he'll boot it up to midfield patrick stevens goes up to the head ball with good hinds he'll win the battle morneau tries to get involved coronal win it goes back to machio and goes out of bounds begins with the throne luke mazza heads it up to sonny mazza handball on enzo mazza and he's upset so he'll boot it out of bounds nice play by the ball boy there to fire that ball quickly back in looks like good hinds will be taking this one long meadow yeah long meadows uh seems to be discussing something unhappy that uh mazda kicked that out of bounds maybe you're looking for something like an unsportsmanlike of some sort long metal seems to be lining up on the right side of the box goodin tries to curve it in and it's taken out regained by good hinds he'll try to make a cut move through mazza in luke mazza out to koran colin evans fighting he'll send it back to mourinho more nota welding on the outside weldon will give it back to evans he races up tries to find more no a shots there he'll make a pass up to good hinds good heinz will start racing sends it over to kachi and katy will touch it on net giroud with an easy stop he'll boot it way past midfield a shot heads it up to sends up to koran and i believe the other quran frederick quran was offsides mazza will send it up to colin evans koran tries to get a foot on it up to luke mazza nice defensive play by carson macchio thomas mcmahon sends it back to his defender brunel with the ball now morneau nice little one touch passing there from the spartans mazza gets pushed in the back a little bit he'll send it back to kirana coronal will try and get a nice little chip up to evans or moreno and it's scooped up by henry patrick stevens weldon and koran go up for the ball moreno the touch pass to colin evans over the head of number three wesley rogas with a heel touch pass back tries to find colin evans ball goes out of bounds koran trying to chase it down it's gonna be throwing for enzo mazza he'll fire it to karana in the middle oman karana to colin evans to more no more noah will try and split the d finding mazz or brunell it's touched out of bounds by number 18 of longmeadow it's gonna be a throw in for the spartans here santorelli able to just touch that one out of bounds stop that momentum seems to be a pretty good turnout here tonight decent amount of fans huh chad solid crowd like to see a little bit more red though i would too ball comes back to enzo mazza he'll head it over to biggins biggins mazza gets taken down on the play trying to find karana here comes quran up the middle and he runs into patrick stevens patrick stevens goes down ball pops up to colin evans he'll touch it to sonny mazza mazzle trying to heal it over to morneau and it's booted all the way back downfield to enzo mazza he'll send it to giroud drool fire it up the sideline to weldon weldon and good hinds are in a battle and weldon will just grab the yarn of good hinds and he'll get called for a penalty it's gonna be a free kick for longmeadow a little over aggressive there from weldon seen it in the past it's been fouls but i don't think any card so far no cards pretty physical games no cards actually fun fact chad the miaa rule is that if a total of the jv and varsity if there's a total of 13 yellow cards they are eliminated from playoffs right now jv has seven yellow cards and the varsity has three yellow cards they are at 10 and we're not even halfway through this season if they get three more yellow cards they can be disqualified from the playoffs really i've never heard of that rule yeah i i haven't either until um it's a lot of foul i got told yeah a lot of i mean that's a lot of yellow cards three isn't too bad but you seven you get two and it's total it's not just one team it's both teams combined so jv could ruin it or varsity you know could ruin it for themselves but yeah you gotta you gotta be careful you gotta be careful take a step back and realize the situation you can't get any of those cards you gotta worry about those plays luke mazzle with it now he'll make a cut move on inside ball steps back to more no more no to colin evans inside and he'll try to rip a shot on that but it's blocked by number 20 of longmeadow breeding costas great defensive play could have been a goal had casas knock on his body in front of that one morneau will have a corner kick here 30 45 remaining in the second half spartans are still up one nothing i would say it's pretty safe to say that uh if that long metal body didn't get in the way that was morneau send it up the middle and patrick stevens tries to get a head ball on it but it goes over the crossbar it's going to be a long metal goal kick our shots will be taking this one some subs coming in for the east long meadow number one mike monroe for ryan brunell and number 21 joe president for number five luke mazza a shots will send it to the middle of the field caron will head it up to good hinds good hinds will play it try to get it over to kochie ball's picked off by evans evans will send it back to weldon well then fires it up to sunny mazza good hinds and patrick stevens in a tangle weldon ends up with the ball he'll try to find fresnel splitting the d not enough on that ball biggins a touch pass from fresnel to colin evans tries to go back to president all shots will clear it out back to enzo mazza he'll send it up to sonny mazza his brother and sonny in a shots are in a foot race sonny sends it back to evans nice play there by number 20 of longmeadow great job boxing out evans braden costas with another great play disturbing a good scoring opportunity for east long meadow more knowing number three for longmeadow go up for the ball comes back to mazzum as well give it up to colin evans president with it now he's gonna look for his options he's got biggens running up the sideline but he's gonna give it to evans in the middle good luck there from biggins trying to overlap there's gonna be some more subs coming in number 23 for longmeadow and number 13 for east long meadow number 13 for eastern mello's dante bates number 21 for longmeadow is carson macchio dante bates will throw it into the middle ball comes out to collins evans patrick stevens steps up it's chipped back to biggins big ends with a nice little drop pass tries to find presnel kochi will touch it out of bounds it's going to be an east long metal throwing for enzo mazza he'll just whip it into more no more noah switch fields but doesn't quite get all of his foot on it puts a little too much spin looked like it might have went off his toe or something there but more monroe gains it touches it to more no and morneau makes a beautiful pass up to evans evans is taken down by braden costas it's gonna be a free kick for east longmeadow enzo mazzle will be taking this one spartans are lining up on the left side of the 18.

they should be crashing in 27 remaining in the second half mazza will chip it inside the 18. it gets a head ball up to colin evans and he'll touch it into the net for spartan's second goal of the night a beautiful play from enzo mazza and colin evans and a great celebration over in the corner nice goal by evans there he's been chipping away all night finally gets one in enzo enzo mazzo with a nice pass inside the 18 there's a head ball i'm not sure who got a head ball on that one but it came popped out right out to colin evans he's able to get his foot up high enough where he can get a clean touch on the ball and it goes right past henry right into the net for another spartans goal 26 52 remaining in the second half spartans are up 2-0 evans finally got that one in long middle with a little energy off the kickoff looking to make something happen respond to that goal goal scored by number six colin evans monroe over on the right side there ball goes out of bounds looks like it's going to be a long metal corner kick for number nine chris caron evans really deserved that goal i mean he's had some really outstanding opportunities tonight and he's finally able to tuck that one home i'm happy for him corona will take this corner kick tries to get over to rintoul rin tool and biggins will go up for it weldon now chasing down ball comes up to opportunity from cajon now maz is racing up the sideline not really many people with him he's triple teamed over in the corner great job by him to maintain possession he finds monroe monroe is going to chip it far side switch fields over to presnel but the ball skips by president chases it down able to keep it inside and it goes out of bounds should have been awful long medal i saw it go off the toe there it definitely did fresno saw the same thing fans are loving that comment and it's kicked out of bounds by bates it's gonna be a long metal throw-in boston sports update for you bruins are up against the philadelphia flyers three to one go off of big ends three to one yup bruins are up 3-1 just come back from that loss against rangers right i believe so yeah this would be a throw in for longmeadow chris caron [Music] he'll give it to carson macchio back to quran president on the defense koran's going to cross it into the middle and it goes right past rintoul's foot he can't put it home comes out to number 23 also another update red sox are down to the orioles right now it is mid-fourth inning dante bates tries to chip it up to sunny mazza here comes kochi begins with a nice defensive play he chess it down to himself gives it over to evans evans with a touch pass chip up to presnel good defensive play there from makio some chippy plays after after the ball goes out of bounds yeah it has chad we'll keep an eye on that dante bates nice aggressive play there tries to win the battle against braden costas goes out of bounds off of coastus it's gonna be biggins with the throw in dante base looks over his shoulder tries to get a touch pass over to morneau koran chasing down more no more knows going to win that nice move but then it's taken by quran he's going to send up the sideline cross pass in over to wren tool rental trying to get a shot on net and giroud comes up with a huge speed comes back out to koran he tries to tuck it home and drew is locking down his house he's not letting anything go by right now great play by giroux he punched it up to evans evans is going to chip it up to sonny mazza mazza tries to get a cookie home outside the 18 a little bloop shot over henry goes out of bounds and sonny mazza is down he's slow to get up and it looks to be an injury timeout is able to get that ball going the other way pretty quickly almost ended up in a scoring opportunity and it is sonny mazza limping off the field right now unfortunate free salmonella he's one of their top players mazza might have gotten a dead leg or something there hopefully something's just got to walk off for a little bit oh sting hopefully something he can walk off hopefully nothing major might just be one of those you know he's summoned a trainer checking in on him monroe will chase the ball down he'll get it tries to get a touch pass back more no more no sue and he scores what a goal great goal from east long meadow another person deserving of a goal all night ryan morneau something happened somebody i believe was offside so there's gonna be no goal on the play oh ball goal is stripped from renault i didn't see a celebration after that one in the net and i saw the refs arm up so i believe it was an offsides call on either moreno or monroe or evan someone over there one of the three so that ball that goal be taken away unfortunate henry comes out he'll jump up take the ball away from evans henry will boot it up to midfield monroe with a head ball play tries to get it to morneau bumps into morneau president has a ball now it's taken by carson macchio back out to braden costas he'll go back to carson macchio and president will just tap that out of bounds there let me sell meadow reset and they'll use someone tries to get some subs in there but ref will hold him back it'll be brunel and luke mazza coming in in a moment for you salmetta quran with the throne he'll fire it up into rin tool enzo maz is able to head that one out of out of the defensive zone quran with a nice touch move to himself past president torrential rental tries to get the ball into the middle to good hinds i think evan's carrying it up evans tries to get by two defenders himself he's contested by a shot [Music] a shots fighting against morneau he'll win the battle he gets by bates cutback move to get by enzo mazza and it's cleared out nice play by dante bates sir ball goes out of bounds east long metal throw in monroe just under 20 minutes remaining in the second half spartans are up two nothing long long meadow gaining a little energy and hope after uh after that goal was called back but still two nothing you saw meadow hard to come back from that but still a lot of game left and starting to go a little bit more back and forth now ball comes up to the middle took good hinds and it was just a bouncing ball and goodiness is able to tuck it home two to one that was all kind of sloppy east long meadow had some subs coming in right after that a throwing ball makes its way outside the 18 and just bouncing right in front of the net good hinds able to get a solid foot on it monroe and he's gonna put it home monroe on the sidelines getting wrapped up right now i wonder what that's all about seems to be all right though long middle goals yeah longmeadow goal scored by number 10 colin goodheim east long meadow is taking a time out here a little sloppy play there ended up in a long metal goal it's unfortunate for the spartans but hopefully they'll be able to get this one back 1914 remaining in the second half two to one game good team answers the goal with the goal you know what i mean yep i think he's somebody's proven to be a good team so hopefully they can put one in the net two two goal leads are the toughest leads in any sport really you know can't can't get too relaxed about your lead tempo the game can be changed in seconds yeah i mean one goal is really all it takes to change the tempo i mean i think we saw that last year in the hockey game first miniature oh yeah dude nothing leave it don't remind me of a child minutes left don't remind me gotta hold on so east long metal will have possession now after the long metal goal by colin goodhines sonny mazzus back in the game good to see monroe still checking on his leg longmeadow fans are fired up over there dante bates will send it up to ryan brunell on the outside nice play by anthony kolouron luke mazzo with the ball now he'll try a cupback move he's contested by number 13 of longmeadow william swanson it's touched out of bounds by him throwing for dante bates of east long meadow [Music] east long meadows student section now up on their feet hoping to spark a little bit of energy get their team going here ball pops up to henry and he's going to boot it up to midfield to rin tool rintool beats pachetto tries to get a touch pass up to good hinds good hinds using his speed good defensive play though by enzo mazza turns his hips able to touch it to luke mazza shuttle clears to kirana chased down by finn richardson ryan brunell up to corona ben weldon will clear it to midfield luke mazza now braden costas trying to get the ball and a nice send up to luke he's got sonny mazza midfield but it's kicked out of bounds by a shot smart defensive play there you saw that all at numbers and you made the right decision dante bates with a quick on to colin evans in the middle to brunel brunell gets a shot on that and he'll score three to one east some meadow great gold by ryan brunell heads up play there by the spartans a quick throw in a quick pass and a quick shot spartan dropped 3-1 17-28 remaining in the second half ryan brunell after initially slightly missed touching it was able to get by and put it away great goal for yourself good response from east long metal after colin goodines put a goal in the net as i said a good team answers a goal with the goal you somehow just proved that [Music] longmeadows number 23 will be coming out of the game will touch it up to number three of longmeadow wesley rogas there's 17 and a half minutes remaining in the sunny mazza with a cut move back to brunel brunell tries to get it to the middle stopped by koran good hinds now and weldon fighting weldon's gonna grab on a good hinds no call there braden casas will make a pass to rogas nice play by walden there to head it back up to his teammate burnell colin evans touch pass to brunel brunel is going to look for his options tries to get it to sunny mazza up field good luck there from brunell and evans dante bates now it'll be walden well then with the throw throwing thrown but on that last goal chad spartans picked up their pace of play a little bit yeah there's a quick throw in a quick pass kind of caught long metal off guard and brunell's back door to put it home smart heads up play by east longmeadow i think that uh i don't know who had the throw in there but he definitely noticed longmeadow's defense not ready yet and he definitely took that opportunity and ran with her luke mazza heads the ball up tries to find more no it's headed back down by rogas and quran goes down against dante bates dante bates with a chip pass up to luke mazzle luke mazza's got some running room up the sideline great fly tackle by a shot all ball there luke mazza goes down a little slow to get up but he's all right little tailbone action going on there definitely landed on his tailbone there dante bates with a throw in now he'll fire it at the net trying to find evans and mazza in the middle inside the six but it's taken by henry and he'll boot it way past midfield patrick stevens trying to make a play on it just misses the ball maz is able to clear it out to bates taken by roga's rogas rogas with a touch move to himself up to his teammate number 13 and a call on east long meadow might have been luke mazza there not sure chad did you did you catch that one i didn't catch that one unsure what the call was a shots will be taking the free kick 40 yards out long medals lining up on the far side of the 18.

they begin to crash the ball comes inside and it goes far post and longmeadow is able to score and giroux just picks up that ball longmeadow with their celebration of just kind of grabbing the ball out of the net and running around the field with it almost like they're yeah and jerusalem have that he was not happy with that goal he wasn't happy with it the first time clearly i saw oh absolutely not he was not like other than that he wasn't he wasn't going to let that happen again it's a 3-2 game 14 minutes remaining on meadow picks up a goal right there did you catch you scored that one chad i didn't catch your score that one once again i didn't catch it um so it's a 3-2 game now with just under 14 minutes left [Music] a lot of noise from the long metal crowd right now trying to a kick from a shot ends up in the back of the net someone on the far post a long metal player i'm not sure who it was there's a lot going on over there but he's able to tuck it in east long meadow student section yeah they're trying to fire up their their team getting some energy going up here a little bit more though i would i would as well chad we got some subs eventually coming in here for islam number one mike monroe number eight and number four for longmeadow vito kacchi ball comes up to the inside to morneau mourinho just misses the ball and henry's able to come up with an easy stop he'll boot it up to midfield weldon [Music] is beaten by good hinds good hinds using his speed fires it to rintoul paschetto gains control and boots to back up to midfield koran will send it out wide i think to finn richardson out there finn richardson and weldon going at it brunel rental gains possession taken by patrick stevens he'll give a touch move to himself but it's a little hard so it's going to go out of bounds it's going to be a long metal throw in a lot of physical play but as we said before islam meadows got to watch those cards already 10 combined cards correct correct i believe so chad can't get 13.

so vito kacchi coming in for longmeadow as well as debo artetola replacing number two finn richardson and number 20 braden costas paul comes in the middle rin tool trying to gain possession of that one a head ball comes up and giroux ready to make that save good hinds looks to be down he's a little slow to get up but he's all right might have been a little collision of some heads there going up for that head ball good hinds is rubbing the back of his head 11 45 remaining in the second half it is a 3-2 game spartans with the lead over the lancers mazza to karana arutola trying to get some defense there balls taken by koran with an aggressive play by him but masa with a great pullback move to brunel to create some space more nose trying to get on that koran is takes that ball away but then it's regained by east long metal another great pole move by mazza tries to find monroe on the outside and the top of the 18 monroe goes down ball comes up to rental at midfield and pachetta is just gonna nail that ball way out of bounds monroe limping a little after that contact and grabbing his leg i know he was getting wrapped up earlier we'll have to keep an eye on that enzo mazzo head the ball up brentool a nice little bicycle kick cross switches fields with that quran and his other brother are defending weldon i believe they're brothers frederick and chris caron number nine and number 11 of longmeadow [Music] shout out to those of you joining us on our live stream tonight 17 viewers we have 17 viewers tonight and mazza is taken down crazy we've got a good game here so if you're just joining us it's three to two with 10 minutes left in the second half a solid game originally going into the second half here spartans are up two nothing and longmeadow answered with a goal spartans answered with another goal in the second half and then longmeadow again so it's a 3-2 game goals scored by good hinds for longmeadow and i'm not sure who the other goal is scored by but for east long meadows colin evans he's got one tonight [Music] bruno brunell has one tonight i want to say mazza is amazing yeah uh i believe so sunny mazza odutola free la meadow is also coming out and number 18 for mom jonathan santarelli is coming in for number one aidan steinberg will be coming out from meadow the shots trying to get a goal kick here they need some they need a ball that one might be flat ball boys got to get on those huh we'll let them take their time nine minutes remaining in this game burning clock free salmon right now doesn't hurt and there's some contact at midfield between colin evans and number three for longmeadow wesley rogas it's gonna be a free kick at midfield for patrick stevens hill booted up just outside the 18 good head ball there good solid play just stepped up and was able to grab the ball from that long meadow midfielder or attacker 8 20 remaining more no we'll have a throw-in or a corner kick excuse me my bad ball went out on the goal line mourinho pops up on his left foot kambal is headed out by good hinds and koran tries to get up to rental and weldon comes out of nowhere and takes out the back of the leg of rental rentals down very slow to get up yeah he is not getting off he is on the ground holding his ankle i believe a lot of physical play tonight big rivalry long metal fans are not happy about that east long meadows trainers coming out to help off rentool rintool is not happy he's got some words to say to the right got some words to say the ref and the ref take a card out it's going to be a yellow rin tool will be getting a yellow for that unsportsmanlike comment to the ref longmeadow fans are not happy about that but we gotta remind you that it's east long island longmeadow some big big rivals here this is not new for these two teams these two schools this is it's been here for decades essentially i mean yeah so it's it's it's nothing new we've seen this before ben weldon will be checking out for east longmeadow and he's a very aggressive player you know weldon is he's not afraid to use his body he's not afraid to take people down just got to be careful that you know make sure you stay away from the cards yeah sometimes you know if you get a little too aggressive and inside the 18 or something it could cost you with a penalty kick but weldon seems to uh be doing all right with that controlling it rinpole properly his leg kind of stretching out right now tending to his own injury ball comes out to koran with longmeadow colin evans will touch it to president on the outside president with a nice touch move to himself but the ball goes out of bounds and it's gonna be in long metal throw-in for chris caron excuse me never mind he dropped the ball it's going to be joe president with the throwing for east long meadow 6 35 remaining in the second half spartans are up three to two longmeadow is making their way up field nice touch pass one roll great back checking there there we go monroe monroe to prevent that play nice little hockey term thrown in there but it felt like it fit because i mean he was just back checking you know might not be a thing in soccer but you know what it felt right it felt right and patrick stevens takes down a long metal player and there's gonna be there's some confusion they're saying it's outside of the 18 if it was inside the 18 it would be a penalty shot 550 remaining it's getting a little bit chippy now out there it's gonna be a free kick just outside the 18 on the right side near the goal line for longmeadow they're to try and capitalize on this opportunity tie this game up hopefully spartans will be able to keep the ball out of the net it's a chip shot up hard seam pass through the middle ball comes out to number 21 carson macchio he'll kick the ball out of bounds there's nobody home on the sideline biggins will have to throw in ben biggins with another throw in here he fires up the sideline colin evans with a quick head ball the more no more no the head ball pass to kirana he'll send it up the sideline for luke mazza luke maz is racing up the sideline he'll get a touch on it good defensive play though by longmeadow's number 18.
