he's going to go to that left side follow his blockers he's going to find a seam and he's going to keep his feet moving he got hit at the 33 and it looks like it was stood up and fumbled there by the eagles and it's going to be jerk [Music] now you got to keep your head up if you're the eagles defense don't give up anything crazy with seven seconds remaining here in the first half and if you're jerseyville here i'm taking a shot to the end zone hoping for a pass interference take a shot you look at the back judge he's going back to the goal line right now and he's kind of got that same mentality columbia's sending a guy back there as well looks like denny so seven seconds remaining here in the first half before we enter into the century 21 halftime show they're coming out jersey's gonna run up to the line of scrimmage they're gonna get the play off and they're gonna take that deep shot they're going to go to the middle of the field and it's going to fall incomplete with 1.5 seconds remaining complete second down and 10.
we'll see what they're going to do here if they're going to just try the same play once again still seven point game which is that that makes it that miss extra point it's huge there it's harder for i mean a two-point conversion can be tough because you got to go three yards but almost everybody knows a run's coming but when you throw the ball you don't have a lot of space to work with so good to be only down seven still so for the first time jerseyville is gonna go in the shotgun it's gonna just be a quick option to the left side he's gonna stiff arm mistler he's gonna spin away from mistler's tackle and it's gonna fall at the yard line well that's going to send us into the century 21 halftime show where the eagles trail the panthers 20 to 13 in this week 9 matchup where the eagles are going to have to win the ball game to get into the playoffs we're going to send it to a break and we will be right back with the century 21 halftime show after this welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the century 21 halftime show coming to you live from jerseyville illinois where the eagles trailed the jersey panthers 20 to 13.
jared and a half that the jerseyville offense pretty much did whatever they wanted to do we had one stop but other than that it's been all jerseyville offense so far i mean yeah we've had a couple uh a couple big plays that we could have taken care of on the defensive side um going back to that last touchdown there we had fourth in about 13 and one stop keeps this almost a tie game but um our defense kind of on their heels a little bit jerseyville running a lot of different a lot of different stuff at us which uh kind of has our defense a little uh a little messed up but we knew that they were gonna come out and run the football a whole bunch like you had said earlier three guys over 50 attempts one of those guys over 100 attempts rushing and i think they had about after doing the math about 14 or 1500 yards rushing but like you said the throw in the football quarterback only had 46 attempts coming into the night completing 41 he was 19 for 46 with two touchdowns and two interceptions for 250 yards and tonight he's kind of lulled our defense to sleep and after that he's kind of got us into or got them into the end zone so offensively though haven't done anything wrong just haven't had the football too much and jerseyville's had the time of possession i'm sure way in their favor i mean yeah that last in that second quarter they took away those last i would say six seven minutes um columbia didn't even really get a chance to run a play and then we fumble on that kickoff and they got the ball back and ran two more plays so um coach horner is running a lot of different stuff and we're getting a lot of good good plays and good yardage out of it but we just got to capitalize and get in the end zone let us know where you're listening from where you're watching from like i said got a little bit of people over there in the grand stands but not too many so hopefully we get a lot of watchers out there in columbia and wherever else you're watching from you have a couple comments coming in saying blue pride and let's go eagles so i know you're that you're out there give us a shout out and see if we can get you a shout out on the stream as you see that the eagles have made their way back onto the field panthers on their way out here as well the eagles are going to be able to have the football coming out of halftime so it's going to be a huge drive you're going to need to get into the end zone and if you don't get into the end zone it's going to be an even bigger drive for your defense to get a stop and i think on the offensive side of the ball you just come out and do what you did on in that first drive with vaguely mcconaughey run a little rpo stuff and get mcconaughey and vaguely out and open space uh we saw vaguely break one um he was about 65 in that first quarter so um if we can get him on the outside i'll take our chances and that's something you know coach owners always kind of talked about the speed kill strength punishes kind of deal you got two speedsters back there in vaguely and mcconaughey so like you said earlier too in the uh as well pregame show you're talking let's get this game spread out a little bit let's let our athletes be athletes and uh hopefully i like our athletes one-on-one whenever it comes to the open field so i believe they still have the three minutes left to warm up but if the teams don't want to use those three minutes we don't have to so we might be 20 seconds away here from the second half and a winner go home game for the eagles we like we talked about in that acer's wild pregame show got to have five wins to get in got to have the playoff points to get you in and it's looking like columbia if all things go well we'll have those 37 points that should be enough to get us in but it doesn't matter if you have 37 playoff points with only four wins you're not going to get in so i'm sure that's the message going in with coach hoyner and coach germain they are going to put those three minutes on so we've got a little bit more tar talking time here in that century 21 halftime show so when you're coach warning your coach jermaine how do you get this that point across to your players if hey boys you got 24 minutes in that for you seniors it might be your last 24 minutes and i think you're saying though seniors i think those seniors just know uh maybe some of these kids have been playing football since you're in kindergarten first grade uh back in blue jays so um coming out in the second half i mean this could be your last half of football that you ever play in your life so you just gotta gather your guys and and let them know that uh we gotta let let it all out uh on the field in the second half and like you said earlier too you got you got your juniors that are out there too your sophomores heck we got some freshmen out there and anthonys and mason vaguely i look like he was playing linebacker a little bit tonight so i mean you got to look at everybody you know it's not just the seniors team it's not just the juniors not the sophomores the freshmen you know everybody's gonna have to come together for these last 24.
and uh all you need is one more point it doesn't matter how you get it we might only score one touchdown you go for two 21-28 that's a victory in my we're eyes minute 45 away now eagles are over there huddled up and i guess they have to give you this entire time frame because the officials don't look like they're in any hurry to get this second half rolling they're at midfield right now looks like they all have their hands in getting ready to break a huddle and uh after a time out they did what do you think they say team yeah go jerseyville so thank you all for sticking through there century 21 halftime show and hopefully we can bring you another one of those in week 10. the eagles are going to be going towards the scoreboard in the third quarter they'll be going away from the scoreboard in the fourth and that's something that could be of of difficulty late in the game if you're down or even if you're up and you're trying to watch that scoreboard so i always like that whenever you know you get to choose which way you're going you know you want to go towards that scoreboard in the fourth quarter give yourself a little bit of a in edge whenever it comes down to late in the game number 21.
see if we can bust one right here right right off the bat get some momentum going so we've had eight and a half weeks of football and it comes down to this final half mcconaughey and wetzel hoping to get the eagles into good field possession here you got saigon and mistler standing at the 30. it's like brandon jackson and drew meganson at the 40. looks like kick return is the only thing vaguely is not on huh might be about it kickoffs tonight have been pretty short for jerseyville they had one good one but the eagles have been able to take advantage of those and get into the jerseyville territory so we'll see what happens here in the second half football action going to be a good kick and it's going to be recovered by mcconaughey from the 15. he's going to run to the left side he's got to see him he's got nobody in front of him except the kicker he's going to have to make one man and he makes a miss he's going to have to run away from number 20 he's going to get to the 5.
he's going to get into the end zone for a columbia eagles touchdown we called it on the way up here alex we called it on the way up here he turns the kick off mcconaughey goes 85 yards to find the end zone for the first time this year we said we needed that special teams touchdown and boy do we need it in any bigger way than right there i need this b.a.t to go so vaguely setting up the kicking tee with sagan is matheny or a long snapper as well i believe so good snap good hold kick is up and it goes right down broadway and just like that folks we got ourselves a 20 20 football game in week nine that's a big momentum boost right there for the eagles and that's what they needed in this ball game every time he's caught one of those kickoffs i think he's going to the house and that time i was 100 right so man let's go now you need to have a good kick off here and i think that's what the message is right now with coach kendall he's a guy that can get fired up he can get pretty animated you could hear him yelling you can see the strut and his little you can see how he's walking now too see you we got some points on the board now it took him to week nine but he got him out there so the eagles are out there they got a little bit of fire in their step right now they're waiting on jerseyville walking out to the field right now when throwing carrie going to be back deep once again for the panthers eagles tied on the mandy maguire group scoreboard 20 20.
that 85-yard touchdown took 14 seconds for mcconaughey to get into the end zone vaguely sends it deep and it's going to be returned from the 10-yard line and they have to make a stop here if you're the eagles and they're going to be able to and it's going to be stopped at the 29-yard line or that eagles defense is going to come back out under the field giving up a couple big plays and they're gonna have to make a a good stand right here and force a a punt a turnover something here to get that eagle offense back on the field and most importantly keep the points off the board for the panthers and only 20 seconds off uh already in this second half see if jerseyville could keep those drives going like they had in the first half or if columbia defense can step up and make some big stops they send a motion man and it's going to be offsides on the eagles both sides of the defense like matheny and i believe that's anthony two of the guys that i saw jump on that defensive line so first down and five now for the panthers from their own 35-yard line quarterback under center center number 18 in motion they're going to hand the ball off up the middle and it's going to be a great push by that jerseyville line and it's going to be a gain of six yard that's a first down for the panthers i think that's all they're going to try to do here now that they know the game's tied up they're going to try to hold the ball as much as they can and not put the ball in vaguely in mcconaughey's hands because as it looks jersey was more of an inside run power team as columbia can spread the ball out a little bit and score in two or three plays gonna be a counter this way coming at us wetzel loses his footing luckily it looks like vaguely makes the tackle letzel tried to make him playing his foot in the ground and lost his footing there if vaguely's out there that might be another touchdown potentially for the panthers but instead it's only a gain of seven maybe eight we'll call we'll give them eight caught second and two from their own 49-yard line there carter hicks kind of got banana blocked out if he kind of cuts down more downfield he can come up with a loss of the yards on that play quarterback pulls it he's going to try to make something he's not going to have anything and it's going to be a loss of play what do you know jay mistler looked like they were going to run option out of that but missler got right in his face and he didn't have really any time to try to flip it to his running back only loss of about two or three so it'll be down a third and four it's gonna be more than likely if they don't get any yardage they will be punting that's what you're gonna want here on that eagles defense let's get a little false start or something right here they've got everybody in the box here for the panthers so do the eagles gonna send a motion man pitch to the outside and that's not going to be anything for the panthers good job there by hicks and vaguely to come up step up make the tackle and force a fourth and two tough call here if you're coach john's if you're wanting to punt or go for it i think go for it you're 2-16 you got nothing to lose and you're playing against a team that's trying to get in the playoffs i mean i think you go forward here and run something that's been working for you all night that uh that reverse going back the other way and see if coach germain's defense made some adjustments it's going to be a pitch to the outside he's going to have to make a man miss and he's going to be near the sticks it was a second effort there by the pitch man he lunges and i guys gonna be close i don't think he's man that's gonna be close bad spot coach g's over there he's trying to figure out what he thinks i think he's gonna be short you gotta measure that no what nobody's motioned to first down yet at the 49-yard line and they give it to him first down for the panthers the chain gang was wanting to move right off the bat they're saying give it to us so it's a first down for the panthers from the 49 of the eagles gonna be a counter going the other way and it's going to be sniffed out by brewer and mistler [Music] for a gain of two they ran that about three times in the first and second quarter early in the second quarter and they got good yardage on it and the last two or three times they ran it they've only got maybe two three yards so great job by owen brewer and looks like antones and whoever else is on that uh d-line for for this drive 8 40 remaining here in the third quarter tied ball game 20-20 in week nine jersey under center they're going to keep running the football they're going to go right up the middle this time with number nine he's going to get to the 40 and it's going to be another yard short first down right at the 40 yard line it's going to be a third down and one third down a half a yard keep that clock ticking if you are the eagles third and one think they're gonna go up the middle once again or do you think you're gonna go counter i think they're going right up the middle they're gonna have some guy go in motion to kind of clear out some more space in that middle and just power it up the middle gonna go right up the middle with number nine he's not gonna get enough for a first down he is now with the second effort great run there by the panther running back he was stood up right away and kept his feet driving and he gets a two yard gain and that's going to be good for first down panthers [Music] that goes all on number nine right there just keeping his feet moving stood up about a yard deep spins away from him this has been a four-minute drive and they got the ball about at the uh where was it whenever we kicked off how long about the 30-yard line so they went 30 yards in four minutes pitch coming at us this time going to be a bunch of eagles over here good thing about that pitch they get a lot of room to move and make a decision where they want to go it's going to be a gain of eight once again for the panthers they're gonna give them seven bring up a second and three eagles trying to dig those feet into the ground ben don't break mentality going to be a pull this time by the quarterback he's going to pitch it to the outside quarterback's going to the running back's going to get into the end zone going to be a flag on the play gonna be in the vicinity of a hold or a block in the back could potentially be a 31 yard touchdown however it looks like it will be coming back on the penalty white hat coming over the first down just go back 15.
no it's a five yard penalty from where so the penalty was at the 21 so it goes back to the 26. and it still would have been a first down for the panthers so first and ten for the panthers no touchdown on the play they're going to come at us this time quarterback pulls it he's going to pitch it it's going to be the same play this time it's going to be stopped by the eagles but it's going to be another first down mcconaughey in on the tackle another first down 6 30 remaining in the third quarter near the 15 yard line first and ten at the 16. gonna have to try to find a way to stop that little play there i think this is one of those games here for the panthers it seems like every drive they're getting four first downs on the drive six first downs on the drive you know they're just marching their way right down the field first and ten gonna be doubles to the left side gonna be a quarterback out to the outside he's gonna make the completion mcconaughey's gonna try to make the tackle and it's going to be a touchdown panthers [Applause] believe that's our second touchdown pass of the night quarterback came into the game with only having two touchdown passes and tonight he's going to have two as well and he only had 250 yards i bet he's got half of that just close to 100 yeah pa p-a-t attempt for the panthers bunch of eagles in the backfield but it's going to be good so that's going to take the score jerseyville 27 columbia 20 with six minutes and eight seconds remaining in the third quarter of this week nine match up where your four and four eagles are taking on the two and six panthers another drive there jerseyville just goes down the field methodically pretty much and just does what they need to do i think like i said four or five first down consolations to those ladies they're doing what they want to do here tonight yeah and like i think i said uh there was 11 39 when they uh got the ball there and now they're 608 so they took up almost almost half the quarter there um marching down the field and punching one in the end zone and that's something columbia misses out on sometimes we put good drives together sometimes then we just can't get in the end zone like last week against freeze put these good drives together get inside the five yard line and then turn it over on down so um hopefully uh in this last couple drives on our offensive side of the ball we can get some big plays and get this tie ball game again let's see what the eagles are made of here playing from behind now did a great job getting into the end zone on that last kickoff with mcconaughey and now you look at mcconaughey and wetzel standing at the middle of the field that jerseyville decide where they want to kick it it's going to be a squib kick it's going to be picked up by mcconaughey after it's bobbled around he's going to have to try to make something out of nothing keeps his feet moving he's trying to reverse the field gets it to the 25-yard line he reminds me a lot of that at number 28 from a couple years ago and like you said anytime he touches a football never know what could happen 25 yard line for columbia all right so the eagles get the football at 5 59.
trailing this game 27-20 got the ball at their own 25-yard line going to be a handoff to mcconaughey to the right side he finds a seam he's got the sideline he's going to have to make one man miss he jukes to the inside of the field he doesn't have anybody in front of him at the 20. at the 10 into the end zone for a touchdown eagles he can do it in one play folks 75 yards for kyle mcconaughey into the end zone getting the eagles back to a p-80 from ty in this game that movie put on that uh defender over there on our sideline he's shifty yeah he is we talked in the ace as well pregame show we said hey we need a senior to step up and have a game when we need them to and uh kyle mcconaughey's done that vaguely on for the p-a-t put him in a blender good snap good hold kick is up and it's right down the middle so that takes the score on the mandy mcguire group scoreboard columbia 27 jerseyville 27.
27-27 this year's cheer roster so now that's a great thing to have right there however your defense didn't get a breather haley smith they were just out onto the field for uh half the quarter there peyton smith so now they're they get a couple minutes maybe max and now they're gonna have to go right back out there again he needs it after busting that uh kickoff return and then that one he's done in two plays here in the second half so natalie you look at jerseyville here over on our sideline they're they're coaching staff looks like they'll be putting a play together out here it seems like every time there's a kickoff there over here coming off the field light i think if by week nine you don't have it figured out coach you gotta go out there and shopping back hope for the best road to return i'd like to see a touch back here if you're vaguely just pin them back there at the 20.
as that play only takes 14 seconds now we have 5 45 left in the third quarter vaguely sends it deep from the 40. no he does not it's going to bounce at the 35 and just goes out of bounds at the 31 that thing might have made its way out of bounds by about a yard and we had guys right there pretty good kick there by vaguely if you're trying to get the football i kind of like that call by coach kendall because there's kind of a they have the front line and then the second line and then between the second and third line there's kind of a huge gap where you can just kind of you can put it over that second line's head and go recover the football kicked it out of bounds i tell you who loves that player the most is probably matt guy usually has to run all the way across the field to go get the football but you know what kick it out of bounds on your sideline he just stands there he's probably loving that plot d up eagles five down linemen for the eagles with two linebackers and the defensive backs are playing about five yards deep as well got everybody up in the box other than wetzel out here to the outside by himself as a corner they're gonna try to go up the middle and get nothing there's just a big mess right there at the line of scrimmage jerseyville most likely going to do the same thing like they did on that first drive try to waste that clock drive all the way down the field and try to punch one in when the eagles can just score on one play 5 15.
panthers taking their time using up majority of this play clock all night long panthers offense having themselves a good night putting together some really good drives moving the football it's going to be a pitch to the left side of the field it's going to be sniffed out great play there by sam denny and owen brewer sam denney was in the backfield right away and that play started with him this is exactly where you want to be here now we've had these long third downs all night and they've been converting on them same as fourth down as they did right before halftime so this play uh this play could be really huge here bring up fourth down and maybe force them to punt third and seven and go real quick under center it's going to be a bootleg to this side quarterbacks looking downfield hicks forces it back inside and it's going to be a great job by hicks good job by kish and kenningstein just as much getting the sack at the line of scrimmage hicks was right there but he did a good job just forcing him right back into the big guys looks like they're gonna bring the puck team out don't hit the punter yeah no kidding i don't even think i go for it here yeah i don't want to watch this sends a man in motion to the right side it's going to be a high snap gets it off and it's going to bounce at the 35 and it's going to take a jerseyville bounce and it's going to be down at the 24 where this eagle offense is going to take over they've put up 14 points the eagles have put up 14 points on one play of offense here so the eagles are going to have first and ten with 335 remaining in the third quarter tied 27-27 eagles offense only going to have one man out wide going to run it to the right side with quarterback dominic vaguely who's going to get over to the sideline and gain about three or four linebackers kind of play way in so if you can run a little outside zone or something to this side have something going on so they bring jackson back in he's going to be the tight end on our side looks like hicks is the tight end on the top of the screen mistler is going to be your sniffer back pistol back is mcconaughey we're going to hand the ball off right up the middle he's going to follow his lead block and but brewery gonna get to the line of scrimmage and that's it gonna maybe be a loss of one bring up a third and nine three ten remaining so now you're gonna bring jackson off the field saigon comes on he's going to be your slot receiver with meganson split out jared's favorite formation h up empty backfield for the eagles quarterback dom vagley he's dropping back it's going to be a screen he's going to have to run away from one defensive player and he does but he's going to be about two yards short i think if i'm coach warner i'm gonna run a no call here just get up to the line of scrimmage real quick and if i gotta call a timeout by john higgins injured eagle on the play can't see who it is so we're gonna head to a break with the injured eagle on the field columbia and the jerseyville panthers tied 27 with 225 remaining in the third quarter [Music] injured eagle on the play is owen brewery he's helped off the field i trainer ethan and coach kendall so now we're gonna have to send a new offensive alignment out there and it's just gonna be the next man up mentality on this fourth and two mountain heavy eagles in heavy we're going under center with vaguely mcconaughey as you're running back behind you gonna be a quarterback sneak we only needed a yard and let's see if we got it jerseyville's acting like we didn't and i don't think we did [Music] so that's going to be a turnover on downs jerseyville's going to take over with 208 remaining in the 33.
now your defense just got to come back out here and get another stop that's all you can hope for got to be ready to go here if you're the eagles defense jersey under center they're going to turn the ball around hand it off right away it's going to be a gain of maybe one or two [Music] and that's it one thing about these jerseyville running backs they're falling forward on every play and they almost they have a lot of patience too they they wait for their their linemen to clear out that hole a little bit because sometimes you see them running into the back of their lineman and i mean those guys are pretty big down there so it's kind of harder to get make tackles and get to that running back second and about nine here jerseyville taking their time once again going to be a fumbled handoff and it's going to be intercepted by sam dunny let's go he falls over at the 16-yard line and that's okay good read read that like i don't think quarterback song at all because that has been open all night long great job sam denny when you need an interception you need a turnover you get it done and we said that we needed that senior to step up how about the sophomore stepping up on a huge play getting a turnover after the turnover on downs so the eagles take over now 129 in the third quarter remaining vaguely in the shotgun formation with mcconaughey at pistol back he's going to bend it to the outside going to try to outrun a couple guys and he's going to gain three he's going to stay in bounds and that's going to keep the clock moving slow to get up on the play but he's going to get up and it's going to be a gain of three 110 now on the play clock or on the game clock i'm jersey why are you throwing the ball there i mean it's only second and eight i mean you've been running these counters and running the ball up the middle i mean all night long driving on us practically just gave us the ball here trips to the left side vaguely looking to the left he's got a guy in meginson he's going to make a leaping catch and he's going to keep his feet moving great second effort and megan that's going to be a first down for the eagles with 47 seconds so we're gonna have to run one more play before we probably take it into the quarter and nobody can see the behind the scenes look here but jared wanted the deep ball and saigon had the corner jared was looking for the home run tight end to the right side sniffer back left it's going to be a bootleg to the right side he's got misleader wide open mister makes a catch and i need some blockers he's got one lead block in hicks he's going to get to the right side of the field he's going to get into jerseyville territory where he's brought down at the 40.
good for a 33-yard gain great play call there coach horner great execution by the eagles offense he had two guys open too hicks was wide open and he had missler who he threw to in the flat vaguely with a just a nice nice soft toss right over to mistler two lead blockers ahead of him so that's gonna do it for the third quarter as time's gonna be running out on the scoreboard here in jerseyville so now you're through eight weeks and three quarters it's going to come down to the last 12 minutes of this week nine match-up where it's win and possibly be into the playoffs eagles and panthers are tied 27-27 on the mandy maguire group scoreboard we will bring you fourth quarter action after this [Music] welcome back ladies and gentlemen into the fourth quarter action of eagles football here on kchs eagles driving right now tied ball game 27-27 so we're going to go in an empty backfield this time we're going to send hicks in motion actually to be the running back position going to send him in motion once again vega's going to have an empty he's looking to listen left side of the field he's got a guy wide open in saigon he's got saigon into the end zone for another columbia eagles touchdown put all those emotions guys in motion and he's got saigon running wide open catches it about the 15 and there was nobody within five yards of him he gets into the end zone high snap but it's caught brought down and gets into the end zone or into the uprights to give the eagles that seven point lead and it's going to take it now eagles 34.
panthers 27. first how about that play call right out of the right out of the quarter hey mike you you mentioned a couple weeks ago coach horner comes out of timeouts comes out of quarters he's gonna go for it yeah wow like we said earlier in the ace as well pre-game show as well if coach warner gets shot out or shut down he's gonna put some points up and that's what this eagles offense has done putting up 34 here tonight now seven from mcconaughey on the kickoff return team too true yeah we'll have to talk to coach kendall about that this week finally getting that special teams into the end zone so once again this is going to be another big defensive stand here for the eagles try to keep that momentum on their sideline on our sideline and out of this jerseyville crowd and sideline on their senior night columbia trying to play spoilers we're trying to play spoilers on senior night they're trying to play spoilers on our playoff hopes this is basically a playoff football game here vaguely sends this one deep and it will be caught at about the seven yard line and go up the middle bend it to the right side this time is number 10.

good job by brendan weix stepping up and making a tackle as well it's a big play here i'm sorry that wasn't brewer that was matheny on the on this side of the field those two resemble each other in the body type big third down here third and 12 for the panthers gonna be a fullback right up the middle gain of about six and it's going to bring up a fourth and six yard line and here comes the biggest play of the game i would say eight minutes remaining in the ball game i could see jerseyville maybe running this down possibly calling a timeout try to make sure you got that right call you you also want to see kind of how columbia comes out on defense too if they got a if you want to throw a formation at them and see how they line up in it we'll see what jerseyville does here they're going to run to play it's going to be a deep route they're looking to beat wetzel on that side and he's going to fall incomplete through the hands of the rece receiver and it's going to be a turnover on downs good defense there by wetzel being out there and defending that pass first and ten at the 32-yard line that's silence whenever that ball's in the air is just insane everything just goes so quiet a great play there by wetzel to just be in the in the right spot he's almost he's done that all year he's been in the right spot at the right time sometimes he gets beat but he never backs down he's the smallest guy on the field at all times and even though he gets beat a couple times he still gets right back up and he's uh making great plays mcconaughey busts this one up the middle now he's going to try to make a man miss he's got this right sideline he's got the first down he's in the panther territory and he gets brought out of bounds at the 44 yard line and now if you're the eagles offense you got to get tackled in bounds and you got to chew up some of that clock at the 44 yard line great job though to get it on our side of the on this side of the 50.
it's 7 24 left here i think coach horner is going to run the ball a lot here and try to work a lot of this clock out and punch one in go up two two scores and walk away here with the win go doubles to the left side tight end left sniffer back left running back left we're going to run it to the left with vaguely he's going to get behind his lead blockers he's going to have to outrun two defenders he's at the 10. he's into the end zone for a columbia eagle penalty marker on the field i believe it's going to be a sideline warning yeah this coach just threw his headset right on the track almost hit a player great play there by vaguely touchdown's good result of the play touchdown eagles there's two of those plays he's one to the right on our sideline and one to the left to our sideline where he's just catching and he's got three or four lead blockers out there and he finds that seam and he's gone he's got that uh breakaway speed another big p-a-t here for the eagles high snap but it's brought down and it is good so that sends the mandy maguire group scoreboard eagles 41 panthers 27 and getting a little bit more momentum a little more pep in the step over on that eagle sideline didn't waste too much clock there no you know what though if we're not going to waste clock i'd like the points that's something i mean i mean with a team like jerseyville they don't really run spread as we've said which they've thrown the ball a lot more than i've expected tonight um but now they've converted on it too yeah and now they really got to throw the ball so being down two scores and the time is definitely not on your side um you're going to have to be throwing the ball a little bit here and you got to score then you got to get that onside kick and then you got to get the ball back and score again so but if you're uh if you're columbia all you're doing is playing the same defense you've been playing all night and make sure they just catch the ball in front of you don't let anyone run past you that's the biggest thing because you don't want any big plays to happen uh here on this drive dropping back the panthers number six loaded call along with number 10.
that dating interception was game changing yeah and that's those you need those plays and that's they stepped up and they've made those plays tonight now we just need one more play on that defensive side and seal it come on 7 12 remaining in the ball game let's see if we do another pooch kick here like we did that last time let's see or if we want to give him a tougher vagley's going to send this one deep it's going to be caught at the 10. columbia gets down good job by denny breaking down but he's going to miss the tackle and it's going to be brendan wyck at the 30. and we've said his name a ton of times kick off kickoff that guy flies down the field and a good job keeping the play in front of him he's always nice to keep as a fresh linebacker too he's played a lot of linebacker for us this year because i mean sometimes whenever mcconaughey needs a break or vaguely needs a little breather likes that guy that can come right on in and fill that spot perfectly and right there on that kickoff you saw him fly down that field and make a great tackle first and ten for the panthers on a must score drive send into motion man gonna be a quarterback pull he's gonna try to get to the outside and it's gonna be sam denny once again for a loss of four on the play good job taking the pitch man making the tackle and a loss of two on the play columbia firing on all cylinders right now on the defensive side of the football jerseyville now are going to have to speed up a little bit 6 30 remaining in the ball game here comes a pass play he's going to be number 12.
