The ad hoc committee will be concluded at the end of each review and the planning board will appoint a new ad hoc committee before the next application. So, um, the other thing I might change in there actually is the word before. And I might just change it to for for the next application >> because we might not we might want to I think we want to wait until we get an application so that we can actually ask are you available right now? you know and someone's availability might change >> and is there a reason why we are limit it to three members because depending on the scale of the project you may find an architect you may find landscape architect an engineer um so are we limiting ourselves to three >> you want to say at least just put in the words at least so that >> max five you don't want a large group obviously but >> we could say three to five >> and there might be some excitement over a specific project where they or passion they want to kind of you might have more people who raise their hand >> or if it's a smaller project maybe three is more appropriate versus a larger more complex project maybe five.

It gave me structure, discipline, and a sense of purpose I didn't have before. JTC doesn't just help me though. It helps a lot of people. It gives students a place where they can grow, learn responsibility, and feel like they belong. It teaches leadership, respect, and how to be accountable for your actions. For a lot of us, JTC gives hope. It shows that we can improve ourselves and become better citizens. It helps guide us in the right direction and preparing us for life and its hardships. Overall, JTC didn't just change what I do. It changed who I am. And I'll forever be grateful for that. >> Thank you. The next speaker, um, a little hard to read, but I think it's Miguel Angel Safara. Starts with the M. Maybe I miss. I apologize. >> Miguel, you can say your name for the record. Thank you. Um, good morning.

Um the this this younger set that are at school right now are just the youngest four of 10 children. So we have had lots of children in the home. We have been doing this for a really long time. I know children can be a bit much. I know that sometimes they don't listen. That's one thing I understand. But we are required as parents to make sure that we are talking to our children and working with our children about the appropriateness of respect and I feel it's important to speak to the faculty members and the bus drivers about the level of respect these children deserve as well. Um because these bus drivers are the pit stop between our homes and the school and our children get a bad rep sometimes because they end up at school and they're in a bad mood and sometimes it's not coming from home.

We've never put a part-time bus driver on here just trying to get into the probably the practice of whether we do them here or in the consent agenda. Anybody we hire goes in front of you. Kirsten West, um, brand new teacher. We met her at the Purdue, um, teacher fair. Um, outstanding multilingual, um, you know, just an outstanding young lady. Really looking forward to her joining Nicholson. Um, we took, um, Trinity Pearson, who's a first year teacher. Second year, first year anyways, a newer teacher who came from Purdue. she went with us and we just sat back and let her do all the recruiting. So, um, and they hit it off and it's going to be outstanding for us. And then Abby or Abriana, um, Davidson, new counselor for CHS, we met her down at Indiana State at a an event. >> Yep. >> Okay. Yeah, that's a good idea. um >> made up of three to five members and changed it to for the next application before the next right >> because in my mind like I said if once we get an application if we had that list we can see who's available >> right >> and for some projects that are like say say the the soccer fields right now maybe you want two landscape architects and a business person on that one maybe you don't even need an architect on that >> but you can really can change the flavor of of who you have based on the project, >> right? Maybe you get a landscape specialist or something. >> Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Like who's most appropriate can give the best insight and advice, you know, back to the board. That's what I'm kind of hoping for.

Good morning. Good evening. >> You can raise the mic. >> There you go. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um, good evening. My name is Miguel and I'm here for represent JTC and talk about discipline. Discipline is a cornerstone of JRTC program instilling responsibility and consistency in our decisions. This is not only in our academic but also prepare us to become future leaders and beyond the school. Arriving on Tana and other instructions become part of our daily routine and we apply this values inside and outside of the school. Personally, this experience has installed in me greater discipline and awareness about the people who depends on my work. They have great confidence about my skills and demonstrated that I'm sorry this trust in my abilities to fulfill my responsibility. However, I also understood that neglating my duties and obligations has consequences and that my irresponsibility could negatively affect others.

Mr. Nicodemus. >> Uh yes. Tonight I just have one thing. So you get your monthly financial reports uh in your consent agenda items. One addition that we made to that this week is the sheet that you have on the desk in front of you. Um, this is what we call our rolling 12-month percentage balance of expenditures. We noticed that as the actual numbers start coming in, the changes were happening in prior months and we didn't want that to show in these reports. So, this will now show you in previous months where we were and then where we expect to be by the end of the year. That is all I have.

Yeah. And then the rest of it, um, let's see, there's a few changes at the bottom. any the design review committee shall submit its written findings to the planning board and to the applicant along with any suggested conditions. So the conversations um definitely have shifted a little bit as their perspectives and experiences have shifted. Um, what was really nice is I asked them some questions about their learning experiences in the classrooms and what types of learning experiences they enjoy the most, which ones they would tweak if they could. Um, and they had some really good insight uh that really align to the discussion we've been having in our strategic planning meeting. Um, so I know that our our new strategic plan is going to hit on some of the things they talked about yesterday, such as student empowerment, looking for opportunities to uh increase student voice. And I know that's something that we want to do at both schools. So, it was nice to hear the seniors talk about that and and looking forward to um you know, I think they appreciated that the venue yesterday they had to share their thoughts and opinions.

Ultimately, JT's mission is motivate young people to become better citizens. Thank you so much. >> Thank you. >> Our next speaker is Divine Plameumber. Uh hello, my name is Dean Plameumber and I will be talking about community service and some possible solutions. So another aspect of JRTC is community service. It provides students with accessible options to community service which helps them positively impacts their community. For example, our annual trip to Calvette is where we visit a veteran's home and we take time out of our day to speak with them directly and listen to their stories to show our appreciation, care, and interest in them. from writing letters to speaking with them directly. This was actually different because we ended up sharing this event with Catella which not only helped with our communication but also built our character and trust within one another. For me personally, these events have helped show and help me grow out of my shell as well.

So, Dong Rigging was on site at CHS over spring break. Um, and they were there the the whole week, Monday through Friday from about 8 to to 4 or 5 o'clock. So, um, so far with with that, we have all static lines. uh were rehung with the anti-approved hardware. Um so they they were able to get a good chunk of that work done. Uh remaining work to be done is to install the two winches for two of the line sets that are still there. So um it was good to take advantage of that week and get a a large chunk of that work done. So uh Alice training has been completed. Uh we're going to come back around and hit everybody that that would have missed those at the buildings.

Any other comments on that? >> Okay. >> And we just we have to wait till the 30th because of the timing >> because we have to put it post in a newspaper and advertise it as a public hearing so that if anybody's interested they have the opportunity to >> feedback. Y >> So we'll look at these changes with Anna. >> Yes. That should be a pretty quick meeting. >> Yeah. But but we want to um before it's posted, right? Or has it already been posted? >> Well, it hasn't been posted at the clerk yet, but it's already been sent to the newspaper for the 30th, but it doesn't have the verbiage in it yet.
