It's not a deduction. It would be a credit. [snorts] Um [clears throat] and so once that credit comes off, um that's the projected loss, I guess, if you look at it that way. So in 2026, there's two different ways we can look at it. Um, either way, it's about 157,000. Um, if we don't protect the debt service, uh, or I'm sorry, if we don't protect the debt service, it gets split between ops and debt service, right? That you see that 76 and that 69. So, 76,000 69,000 there in 2026, right? Um, [snorts] if we do protect debt service, it all comes out of the operations, right? Which is [clears throat] 137,000 on the right hand side. Okay? Either way, 107 137,000. Um, so all along my thinking was we don't have this, we don't carry a really large cash balance in our debt service fund.
Do you want to show those? It's up to you. You can just kind of hold them Kind of hard to hold up cuz it is detached but it's like a separate head. Good job. All right, first up is Iris Lopez. Madeleine Gilman Destiny Gutierrez Isabelle Garber Alec Earl Derek Antu Mr. B J Tara Parrott Luna Sandoval Maribel Flores Giovanni Mendoza Veronica Shively Sophia Cornejo Odin Kubiak Noah Hoy Evie Rosario Hayden Smelcer And that's it for art club. All right. next one Arley Bryan as Capitan was not able to be here tonight, but she does run book club. This was a new club for us this year. She says that they had two sessions of book club this year. Did a fall session that ran for 7 weeks and a spring session for 5. In the fall they read a book that she chose called I know your secret.
So, that's one point. I'll if you have any comments or question before I get to my other point. >> Yeah, Rob, I have just one quick question. uh the other municipalities that uh have the child going through their their communities, are they actively involved in trying to clean up their their aspect of it as well? >> I I don't know about I mean any town or city with certain population density has an MS4 permit. >> Okay. >> And so the short answer regulatory would be yes. >> Okay. you know, in terms of extra stuff or whether they're on board. I think she makes reference in her letter um to a report from one of the towns that she urges you to to read it. The Watertown City Council um sent a letter uh to the governor in that regard. So, >> and there are there fines assessed if you don't do the things that MS4 is requiring?
He'll take his time. Two balls two strikes. And he swings and misses for strike three. Off-speed he was out in front of, and Henry Leake works a 1-2-3 first inning. Both teams go scoreless. We go to the second. Jared Grumban warms up for his second inning of action. Escaped a second and third mini jam in the first inning. Error and a single for Hollister. As they'll bat for the second time. Tristan Snyder, Ben O'Brien, Chris Baker. Jared Grumban looks to continue his strong pitching. Tristan Snyder will lead it off. 0 for his first four to start the season, and he'll foul that one straight back, and it's nothing and one. Hollister without quite a few players, quite a few impact players. Cal Levrone is out, Ben Moriano, and Jack McDonald. He's batting 636 through five games. That one's low, and it's a ball and a strike.
Saturday, March 28th through the 30th, uh the Wolf Peak camping trip happened with Miss Hernandez and Mr. Liz. Students are still talking about it in our halls. Thursday, uh, April 2nd, Shasta College was on site to create education plans with our senior class. Friday, uh, April 10th to Sunday, April 12th, Sober has their annual yard sale and raised nearly $1,000. April 13th, Monday, seniors finished practicing their senior spotlights for our different advisors. Seniors are so excited for April 30th when they formerly present to teachers and community members. Tuesday, April 14th, our natural resource pilot class uh and Mr. Lewis participated in their first countywide natural resource CD field day at Foresttown clear [clears throat] enrollment. [laughter] We have 20 pre-enrolled eighth graders for our upcoming year. Three from AMS, two from Pico, one from West Cottonwood, and 14 from charter school leaders. We have 42 9th graders, 21 10th graders, 46 11th graders, and 30 12th graders.
Um projects that did bid uh are the classroom opening reconfigurations um at Brookree, Majestic Way, and Somerdale. Those were on the consent calendar. those agreements and those were approved. Thank you very much. Um and as the storage shelving for all elementary portables, so we'll be um putting in two 5x6 portables or excuse me, shelving units as storage units in each of the elementary school portables and I believe that's later in the agenda for approval. Um, continuing on with projects in progress, uh, the B USD warehouse, we've made significant, um, um, strides forward with that project. Uh, right now the main line has been completed. That's the main water line as well as the site grading. And I have pictures at the end to show you of the grading, which is pretty pretty awesome looking. Um, Petemont asphalt, the mechanical area. I have that down as in progress.
So a lot of times it will go out to our our all school sing or be in front of the office welcoming people. At our STEM night it was in front of the cafeteria as parents and families came in and um at that point it was Albert Einstein passing out information about where they could go for STEM night. It's very fun. >> And these two students that came tonight have served on the robotics club for the past three years. So they are original members. This is their fifth year or their third year in fifth grade. >> Yes. >> Okay, thank you. >> Thank you guys. >> Amazing work. Thank you. >> [applause] >> Okay, at this time I am going to present our classified members a superintendent's award. So I'm going to ask Miss Lindsey to come up here. Okay, it is my pleasure to recognize an incredible member of our Park View team, Lindsey Nelson or as everybody else knows her, Miss Lindsey.
Thank you very much for being here. It means a lot when we both have a good alliance between the two groups back and forth across the street. So, we're going to go on to our board committee reports. >> Yes. >> Oh, sorry. Thank you. I'm way ahead of myself. Our student rep, Jenna, didn't mean to pass you up. I'm skipping around on the agenda. Thank you. >> Madame President, may I use some superintendent uh in May I be indulged for a moment? >> Yeah, ahead. I know what you're going to do >> because Jenna probably won't announce this, but I will. Uh, I was recently informed that our student rep, uh, Jenna was, uh, not only accepted to Cornell University, but did I hear you're getting a full ride? >> YES. >> That is Wow. >> Congratulations, Jenna. Well, can't think of a more deserving uh, young woman and look forward to seeing all the great things you do in the future.

Mr. Now, do you still use the weed eater you're talking about? I mean Mr. Now, if you don't use it, I'll I'll kill it out. Yeah, I'll get it. I'll get it out. I'll kill it out. Yeah. Just let me know. All right. I can spray that out, yeah. But then we're I'm going to I know I'm going to have to add dirt to it down there and then so What are your all's feelings on having an executive session to discuss the personnel and then the job descriptions on this grass schedule? Yeah, definitely. I'll make a motion we have an executive session to discuss the dates. I'll do that. I have to do it before the next meeting. Yes. Yeah, you don't want to wait too long so Everyone wants to check their schedules see when they're free or what they're doing. When's the next meeting?
Right now it's like 140,000 I think. Um, I don't have that number right in front of me right now, but um, we don't carry a huge cash balance. Um, so that's part of it. And, you know, if we continue to look at taking a geo bond here at the end of 2026, um, that requires us to make our debt payments early. So, our debt payments we make in January um to get that um debt capacity. We make them in December just like we did in 2024. We just make them early real quick. So, you you have that capacity. So, so my thought was, man, I don't think I want to protect it. I think I just want to let it or I Yeah, I want to let it all hit the ops. Um, but after I was talking to Luke last night, um, he was like, "Leva, I think you have enough room there to go ahead and protect it because you can try to recoup that money in 27 and 28.
It's a realistic fiction and mystery about kids not much older than the kids attending book club. The fall session had about nine students from fourth and fifth grade. Those students she said took her ideas for book club and really ran with it. They showed up to meetings with thoughts and ideas about each character. Theories for how the books issues would be resolved and who the blackmailer from our story was. Two of the students discovered that this book and author were their new favorite so much so that when we voted on a book for the spring session the students unanimously chose a different book by the same author set in the same world as the first. She said the club has doubled in size from the first session to the second. She now has 18 students. They meet every other week to discuss their new book I know you're lying.
>> There are fines. The EPA does assess fines if if towns and cities ignore things. Um, and they threaten fines. Um, uh, Becca Solomon can attest to what happened in Hopedale. They had some substantial fines that were about to be levied. Uh, and you still have to do the work. So, if you got something that cost a couple hundred,000 and you're ignoring it for whatever reason, they'll find you a h 100,000 and still make you pay the 200,000. So it, you know, it makes sense to do the best we can. >> Thank you. Appreciate it. Any anybody else have any other questions? >> No, I I don't think so at this point. Um, I will definitely need to get up to snuff on it in terms of uh to what the financial impacts are and and and that. So >> yeah, I mean this in terms of this letter, there's no >> right.
See if some absences can help fuel Two balls and a strike. Snyder out in right field this afternoon. And it's now three and one. Grumban only walked one against Dover-Sherborn. His command has become what he's known for. Can have long outings, limited pitch counts as that one is fouled straight back. And the count is full. Three balls two strikes. It's a ground ball to short. Shriver plays it on a hop, and it's off his glove. Back-to-back innings with an error for the Clockers. Lead-off man Snyder will reach. Like a routine play. Ball took a bit of a hop there. Snyder's on base. Lefty first baseman Ben O'Brien will bat. He's 0 for his first four this season. First pitch, that one is fouled away. Snyder leads off first. Grumban 0 and 1, that one's outside. Runner goes down to second, throw is bounced, and it's not in time.

The actual was completed over the um last spring break, but since there's multiple parts to that um contract, that agreement, they're going to be doing the seal coating of the main parking lot in front of the school as well as replacing the complete and entire playground in the back. So, I didn't want to say that's a completed project since it's there's multiple parts. uh the Vincy Park door and window replacement which is happening this summer. Um that is getting down to the final decisions being made and the the everything else has been picked up picked out the materials used the the windows and all that stuff. Um and the TK playground structure at Brookree is in its second week and it's almost done. It's looking really good. Um, so it should be uh ready to go for use starting next week if we don't have any setbacks, which I don't foresee there being any.
Miss Lindsey has served as an instructional paraprofessional for the past 11 years at Park View and 18 years total. Uh two of which I've gotten the privilege of getting to know her and witnessing her incredible work ethic. Uh Lindsey is often the first person that I see in the morning smiling and greeting me at the gate. Uh, she shows up every day with enthusiasm, grit, and just the right amount of sense of humor to get us all through the day. >> [snorts] >> And while she shares her light-hearted energy with all of us adults, um, she has more of a calm and steady presence with the students that she supports. One of the things that I admire most about Ms. Lindsey is how easy it is to almost miss just how much she is doing. When I walk into classrooms, sometimes I miss her because she is often right there beside a student quietly anticipating what they need, offering just the right amount of support with a [snorts] within a quiet earshot so as not to draw attention to the student.
Thank you guys so much for your support. It means a lot. Thank you. Well, to follow that up. Good evening. Um, last month we had our student verse staff basketball game with the staff once again winning the game, ending with a three-point shot from Mr. Hamda. I chose this student because he is a good scholar. Whether we're tackling complex equations in math, deeper comprehension in reading, exploring the wonders of science, or diving into social studies, he approaches every lesson with a level of curiosity and excellence. He doesn't just sit back. He actively participates and helps drive our discussion forward. But his brilliance isn't limited to his desk. If you look toward our classroom library, you'll almost always find him with a graphic novel in hand. He is truly a voracious reader who knows the power of a great story. And when transition to the playground, the energy and sportsmanship are absolutely unmatched. Beyond these hobbies, Mateo is a leader we have all come to depend on. He has become our resident tech expert. Whenever I run into a glitch, I'm he's also a consistent, reliable helper to both me and to all his peers.
