There is a pass attempt into the middle from Payton Tripp to Maggie Meenes, but it didn't connect. And Dedham is going to be on the clear. That's Samantha Said trying to jump for the turnover, but just missed it. But, once again, that's another turnover for the Marauders just stepping out of bounds. That's Ashley Forster, yep. Ball to Lily and Captain Captain Dedham ball. And so, we talked about the keys to the game. As neither team has gotten a shot off, that's two turnovers for each team. And the team that minimizes those and protects the ball better is likely going to be the team that that comes out ahead. So, for Dedham, we have in goal number 15, Sophia Unsnar, uh sophomore, I believe. So, Sophia's going up against our captain, Alana Duffy, uh number 50, a junior. So, both young both young goalies. Alana's been a pretty much a starter for the three years.
Kozub back to Sargento. Sargento looking for the cutters, nobody there, gives it to Kozub. Back to Sargento. All the way back up to the top to Taylor. To Stackowitz. Stackowitz feathers one in. Kozub. Kozub behind the net to Lee. Lee with the ball behind the X. Ball's temporary drop. Work the ball back up to Taylor. Sargento. Over to O'Connor. O'Connor to Sargento. Sargento feathers one in to looks like Stackowitz. Stackowitz is met by three Spartans. Stackowitz will get an 8-m attempt. And that was a score by Sargento. As East Longmeadow takes timeout. We'll be back after the timeout. All right, we're back. 2 minutes 38 seconds left in the uh first quarter as Minnechaug is up 3-0. Ball was up and that's the first draw for the East Longmeadow Spartans have won. As Kylie Marino comes up with it. Good job by Marino. Marino goes through them, gets the ball over the restraining line.
So, I'm sure that in the end they'll be just fine. >> That's it for us today, but I just wanted to say thank you for having us back. >> Thank you. We always appreciate hearing from the students.
>> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yeah, the the just the rebar when I touched it, the exposed rebar, it literally crumbled and I didn't touch it hard. I just >> and it fell to the ground. It's just turned into rust basically. And the problem when you have that kind of condition, like even if I try to put a patch, and we have in the past, it lasts like four months and then it falls off. There's no adherence. It just continues to degrade. It's >> Yeah. The other the other concern >> the the other concern I had is when we spoke and I um I had asked you about the unexposed rebar and you said it is degrading, not as fast. >> Correct. >> But it is still degrading. And just so you understand, I'm saying this also for the public. Absolutely. when they when they see it, so they understand what's going through my through my mind.
Does he help you manage prices and things? >> So, he gives us a like a diagram kind of thing. He gives you the sets and then you have to do everything else yourself. Which makes it so much more fun cuz once you finish market day, you're like, "Dang, I did a lot." Um I feel like if Mr. Ray did it for you, it would still be fun, but it would be kind of boring cuz you wouldn't be able to do as much as you could. >> You would take away less if he just helped you and gave you everything. Cuz yeah, you have to market your prices. You have to That's why like the cool thing about it is you have to set your prices. You can't just be like, you know, I'm going to do hamburgers for five bucks. You have to do the what you're paying for, how much you're using of what you're paying for into the total price.
Raw data from a lab does not establish the safety margin. Testing. IAS lab testing indicates Western red cedar and Douglas fir logs that were harvested within the state of Washington, which were selected for consistent diameter control and moisture content versus live trees of another species that were found on site. Independent verification. ICC-ES reports or similar ensure that the bolts being sold today are identical to the ones tested 3 years ago. A one-time lab test from IAS facility does not provide this quality assurance. For the treehouse, the fastener is subject to lateral shear and withdrawal forces simultaneously. Standard IAS testing often only covers one direction, and evaluation report specifically reviews the fastener's performance under complex loading described in the engineered drawings. That's all that I have. Okay, thank you. Yep. Oh, I actually skipped the risk of jurisdiction You want me to read that? Okay. Yeah, you you ended up ended with number four, the IAS testing, correct?
Oh, I have no [music] idea. It would be an altcoin. An altcoin. Do you think you're smarter than a LifeSmarter? I hope so. I think you are. I think you are. >> [laughter] >> All right, what is a drop in the stock market called? A big drop. Plummets down. Crash. It is crash. Thank you for joining us today and seeing how LifeSmarts works. This year we won state, now we are going [music] off to Orlando to compete at nationals. West is best.
So, any discussion before we questions? Do I have a motion? I move that we approve the proposed superintendent's contract. I second. And thank you, both ladies, on that one. All those in favor, say I. I. All those opposed? Motion passes 5-0. Do you really know what you got into? Well, I'm I'm going to find out. It's okay. I'd like to say a few things. Thank you so much to everyone who came out this morning. What a fantastic way to start your Friday. And I hope it's a beautiful day for all. First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the board for placing their trust and confidence in me as Center Grove's next superintendent. I have a question. That's okay. He's trying to get you to go down and keep going. This is not a responsibility I take lightly. It is an honor that I am fully committed to earning each and every day.
I loved watching them pick each other up when they're on the floor. I wasn't too worried at the times they were down because we knew Coach Stuckmeyer would find a way to light a fire under them and get them going. And they rallied around each other all the time. And to me, being a former basketball player, those are the memories you're going to remember. Of course, I'm sure winning the state will be one of your top ones as well. Um but what I love is that they have been role models for our youngest Trojans. Seeing the stands filled with young youth basketball players, knowing that they're looking to you as what their future could be is more special as a human and the legacy you left behind. They are leaders in our school building and I I no doubt that their impact will remain for the years to come.
Your outs were 529. So your public to public net is 264. Your nonpublic is 288 out. All nonpublic are out. >> And that's likely that's 550. >> Yeah. I was just [clears throat] wondering what when they calculate that number, is it based off the total available students in that live in the district or the two the total students that are currently in the district? >> Well, the uh >> to me that's that's a that's a different >> it's the total. >> Yeah, I mean it would include everyone >> and the 288 numbers are kids who live in the school district and go somewhere else. Wow, >> I think that was one. >> Yeah. Now, I didn't use that number. That's um >> 800. Okay, but you got 250 coming back in. So, it drops the net number to negative 550. >> Okay. So, um, did you think that's bad?
So, a lot of experience. >> Yeah, she is she is a difference maker in a lot of these games because uh no offense to any other goalie in the league. Uh for my money, Alana's the best one. So, uh and her save percentage in increases with each year from 43% as a a sophomore, which is still a good percent, to almost 52% last year and 55% this year. So, she's stopping more than 50% of the shots she sees. This is a really effective percentage. >> Yeah, and even if you just watch her demeanor, if you watch her playing, she's very active, very physical over there, just leader. So, I think we got we we got the one we need in goalie right now for the next couple years. We've been very fortunate. >> Mhm. Ashland's defense has done a good job locking down. That's Ashley Forster on the the dead end ball carrier.
Set up the East Longmeadow offense as Sabina McKenney with the ball. Spartans really need to do something to stop the bleeding here as Chaug up 3-0. Pelletier behind the net. Pelletier taking it to the cage. Pulls out, gets the ball to Mack Whitmer. Mack Whitmer with the ball. She gets doubled up. She gets the ball to Sabina McKenney. McKenney goes in, nothing there, gets the ball over to Marino. Marino throws it in to Jane Pelletier. Eva Pellegrino there to save it. As she gets checked, Pellegrino with the ball. She runs it. She's running it in. She's taking it to the cage. Nothing there. She hits the ball behind the jet back net to Illingsworth to Parsons. Parsons goes around the cage, takes a shot wide. Out of bounds. Illingsworth there to back up. Good job by Julia to back that up. Over to Pelletier. Pelletier to Pellegrino.
Uh are there any questions or comments anyone on the board would like to make? >> Miss Fitzgerald. Thanks. Um thank you guys. Always wonderful to hear from you. Um, Silus, you mentioned the sneaker drive and I couldn't quite catch. Um, the funds are going to to where? >> Um, the funds for the sneaker drive will be going to the Cheshire Ride and Drive organization. >> Oh, cool. Thank you. And is that Can we send our sneakers now or >> when does that open? >> I don't know exactly when it opens, but I think it will be soon. >> I'll be on the lookout. Thank you. >> Uh, thank you. I wanted to ask about the townwide art show at Dodd. Is that open to the public? >> Yeah, anyone can go >> and it's is it all day long? >> Um, I think it's just in the afternoon.
>> Um, >> yeah, I I that it makes total sense to me that we need to do the loading dock >> or or or close it down and acknowledge like it doesn't work. That's I don't want to do that. So, >> operationally, you would not close it down. Yeah. >> And so um but we have the second related but different concern which is um colllocated with the loading dock and some flooding concerns there. So I'm curious, you've already done engineering >> on the entirety of that project. The flooding >> would it be possible to get new engineering done to look at just the loading dock without the flooding. >> Absolutely. >> Because I'm I'm thinking that the flooding aspect is probably at least a few hundred,000. Maybe not, but >> that's about right. >> Okay. So, that's that's what I'd like to uh see what those numbers would be without that in it and just the loading dock itself.
This is a whole thing. This is a big mathematic thing. But, it's pretty fun. Uh you call it cogs, I believe. >> cogs? Yeah, that's right. What I meant by like what you take away is like you like what you mentally learn. >> Money. Yeah. We take away money. Sounds about right. >> Yes, from Yeah, I guess if yeah, okay. Um well, what are you excited to see? What are you excited to see, Lucas? Um hmm. I'm excited to see the value of good labor. Good the the good labor. Child labor. Yeah. Yeah. I'm actually excited to see So, last semester, I'll start I'll stop talking about last semester in a little bit, but we There was a lot of sweets. Like it I think there was like three stands that didn't do anything super sweet. Um I'm excited to see like some actual food.
Say that again. You ended with point four in the IAS testing, correct? Yes. Yes. Risk to jurisdiction. If the board of appeals allows fasteners based solely on lab data without a formal evaluation report, the board's essentially acting as the engineer of record for the fastener's performance. The building official cannot verify that the allowable stress used in the submitted drawings matches the actual performance of the hardware under the conditions of the 2015 MRC. Okay, thank you. All right. So, you can make your presentation, please. Yeah. Um first off, the reason I wanted to make sure that last sentence in your staff recommendation was read, because it states the board is essentially acting as engineer of record for the fastener's performance. Um that's I mean, I believe that to be false, because the engineer of record, who is not present today, was actually on this board, uh Mr.
As a long-time resident of Center Grove, my husband and I credit the school corporation for the growth of our three children who are currently learning in the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I show up to this role not only as Center Grove superintendent, but as a fellow parent and community member who is deeply and personally invested in the success of every child in our school corporation. I'm extremely grateful to each of you for entrusting me with this responsibility to ensure every student receives an exceptional educational experience. I also want to acknowledge Dr. Long whose leadership and dedication have helped shape this corporation into what it is today. I look forward to working closely alongside you during this transition to ensure continuity, stability, and the very best outcomes for Center Grove. Your guidance will be invaluable, and I appreciate your strong partnership. I am eager to collaborate with our leadership team, teachers, staff, students, families, everyone to bring our strategic plan to life in meaningful and lasting ways.
And then I also want to briefly talk about Coach Stuckmeyer and congratulate him. He was named the IBC District 3 Coach of the Year. The amount of time and energy and dedication that he and his staff put into the season, which we know doesn't start at the first tip-off of the game, it's all summer long. The hours that he often spends away from his family, sacrificing his own sleep, energy, um and again, the opportunity to give back to the school and to give back to the program. Um he puts time in day in and day out, and truly he is the most calm, cool, and collected coach. Gets a Gets a hard Hold on, I'm going there. Who gets a little bit of a rough rap for not smiling all the time, but that's just part of the persona. And when he gets lit up and fired up, it's like it's it's like No, just the right moment.
You know, Bolton, Hamilton Southeast, supposed to be the best school there in the state. Their net transfer number is negative 2,200. Yeah, which is why they're just want to open a moment. Um, next slide, please. Okay. [clears throat] Q and R. These are the two big ones. All right. The district will average 5 13 existing home sales per year for the next 10 years and average 60 new single family that includes apartments uh homes built annually over the year. Now note the disparency about in this case about 90% of your housing market is existing home sales just like just like any place else in the country. There's there's no school district [clears throat] that I even I've ever seen in my whole career where more than half of the housing markets do construction. 80 to 90% is the average. So I have no doubt that you're going to build 60.
It looks like Ruby Raslonik uh into the middle and uh yet again another turnover. Quick Quickly out from Payton Trip up to uh Celia Callahan and then back to Payton. And she's going to take it all the way back to to Alana. That's a a nice place sometimes. Kind of change the field just like they're taught in soccer to do. It's a it's a good way to get those attacks to to back off. Okay, so once again turnover after turnover for each team where almost 4 minutes into the game, no shots yet. >> Yeah. Little unusual over here for uh Philly Cross. And another turnover potentially. Yep. Lilly Vitti So Lilly has help in the middle but quickly trapped from behind but Sai was able to get it out to Trip and Houshmand trying to move it into the offensive zone and hopefully this time get a shot.
