for 21. kayla jones is a junior starter as well and number 23 reagan abels also a senior will start for columbus north lineups are set we'll see how they match up with each other looking forward to this and then as brett said this is this is a long week for those athletic directors so hopefully you were able to watch the swim meet on tuesday the wrestling meet on wednesday the girls game tonight and tomorrow caps it off with the boys northeast basketball game at columbus east [Music] well here we go from memorial gym the ten and two o's facing off against the seven and three dogs [Applause] [Music] northa control the tip barker brings the ball up the floor going from my left to the right east loves a trap you can kind of already see they have a point on top barker on the drive shots blocked by harley i can't imagine she's going to get too far out of the paint with that kind of reach this evening paul's inbounded to andrea justice off to jones mishandled and [Applause] barker with good hustle to track down stage stall the ball is knocked out of bound it'll be east underneath the basket north students in their christmas best albany spear good for three we just talked about that nick she can't be left open she won't miss very many of those yep she is their leading three-point shooter andrea justice having trouble with gant on the post turnover would be olympians ball 7 20 to go here in the first quarter leah bachman in the back court gives his pick right north yeah with a trap loss with a jump shot rims out ball comes out to spear [Applause] cross court to bachmann intercepted by justice balls out of bound to be olympians ball this is going to be a fast-paced game so expect a lot of up and down especially if both teams continue to press the uh most of the game here gravy with the ball up top mismatch on justice jumper by stage stall no good harley again with the rebound tied up it's gonna be a jump ball possession should go to east it's a great example of east height tonight gant is comes in at 6-3 tallest north starter is six foot it's going to cause problems i would assume sage dog is lost in the middle can't finish lost them with the rebound gives it to barker no press in transition here looks like they're going to try to trap the top of the key here and play a little bit of zone defense as east often times does he's still set up and looks like a 2-3 but they will trap out of it [Applause] harley gant is [Music] commanding the post right now with rebounds and blocked shots sage stall with a clear out can't finish again whistle a loose ball foul on number 20 sage stall that'll be her first 6 14 to go here first quarter east comes out pressing north able to break it down barker out to abel she's going to spot it for three it looks short ball's out of bounds should remain with north and it is we'll have to pay attention to fouls again that both teams do play eight or nine deep but losing a starter is always going to have a a big influence on the game lauren barker forgot that harley's 6-3 and deflected out of bounds into lawson up for a shot deflected kyla with the ball back again she'll put it up again misses second time loose ball and kyla as i mentioned before she's everywhere picks it up balls at the top of the key with barker east looks like they are not going to let lauren barker shoot the ball in the paint harley gantt does it again [Applause] real good strategy here nick so far is is trap trap lauren barker with your athletes up top and if she gets around him then she's got to deal with harley gant yeah i think north is going to struggle with their half course defense as tall as they are expect the trap to come back here again if she gets close to the three-point line another turnover ball's turned over leah bachmann brings it up we talked about leah a little bit earlier she does a good job of handling the ball for being a poster player [Applause] ivy with the rebound put back and she's going to be filed by kyla lawson her first one foul both ways here corrin's gonna go to the line [Music] [Applause] driving pretty calm at the line sinks the first she's been in that position before i don't think you don't ignore student sections bothering her i think there's going to hold a whole lot of shaking her the second one rims out andy gets the rebound there she is picking it up out to albany spear she is a shooter back to current end to harley gann at the post great look a quick timeout by brett white for columbus north dr roberts what are your thoughts on the first time out here yeah i heard you guys say it the size four east is certainly bothering north both on the offensive as well as defensive side of the ball a lot of offensive rebounds already for columbus season on the defensive side making it very difficult for north to get any anything inside i think losses take taking three or four little 10 15 foot jump shots not able to get those to drop and stage stall on the east side also getting the rim a little bit and just not getting going i think the offense the balls will start going the basket here and offensive start getting going on both teams here a little bit you would assume that both teams would settle in here a little bit maybe after that first time out and get the jitters out full court trap by east turned over by barker driving might have gotten away with the double dribble there ball goes into the paint and sage stall she's up and can't finish that one andrea justice with a strong rebound looks like he's just going to press on out of bounds plays and not on transition barker at the top of the key ball to jones baseline may have stepped out of bounds she did [Applause] until north is trying to swing it around to those corners use as much of the cord as they can on spacing it is tight great steel by north all turned over by leah bachmann kyle loss ends up with it she's a tough spot underneath the basket uses her body and she's up and good for bucket 4 28 to go here in the first quarter north pressing again i'm not sure that's what north is looking looking for the two-man press with no support kayla jones pulls out the rebound in there gets the ball to barker in transition scores north 2 east 6.
uh when school started and we started to do our warm watch body seed count uh we recognized that um those numbers were overestimated um in October our enrollment um came in at 8 100 uh 79 which is 341 lower than what we had initially rejected of budget adoptions um and accordingly uh we also made the adjustment and year 22 23 and 23 24 in year 2223 uh we adjust our enrollment to 7790 and then in year 23 24 um our enrollment is projected to be 7419. So based on those two changes uh one um that um included enrollment and other one that included um the concentration Grant we wanted to show you the impact it has on lcff um from what we projected to receive in lcf budget adoption versus first interim so at this point I do want to draw your attention to the very bottom row um where it starts with total lcff and if you go all the way to the right hand column that shows the net difference in terms of the changes um in lcff funding you'll see that because of the concentration Grant increase there's a net increase of 3.4 million approximately 3.4 million dollars in lcfs funding but if you look at that number alone it doesn't tell you to pick the whole picture because if you break down lcff um in its component you'll see that excuse me the base Grant itself which is the unrestricted portion of lcff saw a slight increase of about 116 um the great span adjustment these are add-ons for class size reduction for tk23 we actually saw a decrease of about nine thousand dollars the supplemental Grant uh we saw in I uh an increase excuse me you saw a slight increase of about 86 000 and remember supplemental Grand there's a requirement for us to use those funds to provide increase and approved service for students to regenerate those dollars and go into the concentration Grant you'll see that um there's a huge increase of about 3.2 million dollars and that's because that's a direct result of um of the increase from the 50 to 65 percent and two additional add-ons for tick and excuse me and transportation um my apologies I'm losing my voice here foreign s for taking Transportation Laura did you want us to go to other items we could come back to the presentation yeah I'm happy that way you can uh clear you know take some whatever you have to do yeah thank you um yeah we'll we'll jump over to items um 6.01 that way you can get through it and uh and do what you have to do thank you all right we'll go ahead and move on to item 6.01 uh and we'll come back to 5.01 shortly yourself so uh 6.01 approved California state preschool program uh continue funding application for fiscal year 2223 uh uh uh horsepower did you have any any comments I respectfully asked the board to please um uh approve this is that this is what provides our um preschool programs in Adelanto one in Adelante too is a continuation of that Grant all right uh before taking comments from the board let me ask if there are comments from the public any comments from the public no comments from the public at this time for president all right see none then I'll go ahead and go back to the board board member Chavez often to approve all right second or remember uh had her hand up first that's fine that's fine that's okay you guys want our arm wrestle for it I'll YouTube okay I'll thank you all right motion by Morgan Chavez second by word uh vice president um is there any further comments from the board as I see you Linda uh board member Chavez is that me yeah I board member hi Mr President from aye uh motion passes unanimously uh 6.02 educator effective block grant absolute Academy this is for information only uh any comments or any anything that needs to be added to that information seeing none from the administration uh is there any public any comments for the public we see no public come in at this time all right so you know public comments any further comments from the board uh board member yes just in the interest of I guess Clarity or transparency um I'm wondering if um Dr Bauer or someone could just give a very brief uh description of what this item is what the information on the item is just so that people know and I'm sorry board president is this is it okay to go ahead and respond uh yeah go for it the 603 is going to give the whole deal of the district regarding this particular blog grant that we receive this is for profession for additional professional development for the staff all right yeah and so um there will be a a minor explanation aptitude gets its own because it's a depend District dependent chart thank you all right is that uh good enough all right uh seen uh no problems with no comments from the public and no comments from for the comments from the board we'll go on to 6.03 uh uh Dr Brown yeah I'm gonna be asking Barbara um Campbell to speak briefly to this and we brought the plan to the board if you remember in the special board meeting of December 7th and so this is just um the opportunity you know we that was the opportunity for everybody to provide input and all of that and this is the moment where we were asking the board to approve good evening board president Quintero board members Dr uh Dr Bauer um at last board meeting I presented um just a brief slide presentation talking about the input that we received from all our different um all our stakeholders we had surveys we met with a couple uh kind of a focus group and laid out a professional development plan with a couple of focus areas that came across in in the feedback and the input that we received from everybody some of the key items were again addressing School climate professional development around classroom management and behavior around uh standards aligned instruction are were some of the highlights that people had um requested we opened it to public input last time and right now it is ready for approval so that we can move forward all right uh thank you for that explanation is there uh any comments from members of the public all right um we have uh one uh person of the comment all right uh the voting what do you have two minutes you tell me yourself perfect I just have a question is this coming um from like where is this money coming from with funds as we are you know negotiating as Educators for smaller class sizes Etc say for schools where why are we focusing on professional development in regards to spending money that in that area when we could be utilizing it for infrastructure and ventilation and better classroom environment when our teachers are already burned out um so that's my question is just where is this money coming from when it comes to professional development thank you thank you Mr Liberty or president of this time we have no more public comment s thank you for that um comments from members of the board uh board member uh yes thank you um Miss Campbell for uh for the report and I think you did allude to it already um but could you please uh specify what these funds can be utilized for yes so um the um guns the the Grant had a very specific list that of that how the funds can be spent some of the areas there was um about 11 10 areas that we could choose to spend these funds coaching and mentoring for um in an instructional setting for beginning teachers or administrators strategies to improve inclusive practices um practices to create a positive School climate practices to engage pupils and lead to accelerated learning instructional educatal education support to implement effective language acquisition um professional learning communities a new set of professional learning communities uh standards aligned practices and social emotional learning those were the categories that we could use uh the funds for and then based on what the input that we we received from all our groups we focused it on coaching and mentoring of Staff we focused on inclusive practices the other two areas we focused on was positive School climate and also standard standards align instruction and literacy to improve learning so then other than the I guess you can kind of say infrastructure um that that we've chosen to go with regards to professional development there's not really opportunity it sounds like for um dedicating These funds towards any other kind of infrastructure or anything else just given the parameters of the Grim okay thank you I don't know uh thank you for bringing this uh forward you know and um hopefully we get to approve it today I think any funds coming into our district you know are positive um although um maybe they're not the uh what you highlighted in regards to professional development is not at our priority list right now and our needs it's definitely needed you know um especially I mean I think in any profession you know I think other professions I've had in the training and uh Refreshers um and how to improve right I think it's always it's always good um and without adding adding stress to our teachers so I look forward to you know hearing more about it once it's implemented and the new fresh ideas may be that allow some of our teachers uh to you know be creative and just feel better in in teaching and and you know all the amazing things are already doing um and I think too you know grants I mean when I hear the word Grant I get excited right it's monies and thank you I'm sure there was an application process and all of that and I think I mentioned it last time so thank you for taking the time to do that because as we know if we're having funding come in for that through these grants then it might then free up you know some of the monies that we would have used for this from other places um and so you know we might not see it like right away or but um I think the fact that you know we have this scrap coming in uh hopefully um you know approved tonight that it that it continues to allow her to bring in monies even though this money is specifically focused on those things you mentioned um that then we don't have to pull funds from other places um to cover those things that are very important for our staff um yeah and that's it I look forward to supporting this I don't know if there's emotion I have not entertain a motion yet uh if you'd want to make one I'll I'll accept it at the moment uh Dr Bauer before I make a motion all right yes I'm assuming you're going to talk about the source of the funding from the CDE correct yeah directly from this tape us but these funds is to provide more this is this cannot supplant they have to supplement so even though you know I think uh asked that question in the special board meeting and that refreshing everybody's memories right because there's a lot of things going on and any conversation around funds is very you know it gets a little uh touching so I just want to be very clear that whenever we receive this this specific Grant um came as a part of the stimulus package this is part of the covet funds but the state in their wisdom not our theirs they said we want you districts not only Alum Rock everybody to provide more you cannot go to your budget whatever we had in professional development and say okay well we'll use we have to provide more and I know that that those are the kinds of things that sometimes we all go like this makes no sense but to your point we are happy to receive them we will use them as required and and I just wanted to be very clear that that the problem with these kinds of fundings those things have decided for us we don't get to the side thank you thank you for clarifying that reminding me because we did have this conversation offline so I appreciate that uh you mentioning that in public um great so with that I'll uh make a motion to um approve this item rise a second second by Chavez I'm assuming you're targeting yeah all right all right our Motion in a second and uh we've already done public comments so at this point I'm gonna go ahead and call for a vote uh I'll I'm gonna call you as I see you board member Chavez hi remember about I don't know all right vice president Palm aye uh with myself wouldn't I have a motion passenger um all right moving on to item 7.0 um item 7.01 approve uh contract with upcoming Management Group Incorporated for program Management Services uh Dr Bauer do you want to go ahead and uh take this yes and I I just um this is also for verite I'm not sure that he's ready uh he's having a real hard time with his throat um uh I saw in the um in the in the uh um participants in the atten attendees uh list that died who is the attorney for dwk um who was there this is the this is only uh this is for the bond program and this particular contract is for the program manager side of that operation and is being paid exclusively with bond funds we have gone through the process the board um selected comments all of those things have already been done we were just at the moment where the the specific agreements in the contract were reached so I'm asking the board very respectfully to approve so that we can start working in some of our very needed facilities with some of these funds uh with the help of Cummins thank you move to approved uh second by board member Chavez um I want to remind everyone that this was a part of a long run out process that got even dragged down a little bit more because it took us a while to get on uh attorneys that could go ahead and take a look at this and so uh significant amount of transference it took place throughout the entire process which I'm very I'm very appreciative and I think it's it's very much required so at this point I'll go ahead and call on members of the public do we have members of the public wish to speak on item 7.1 this time we have no public I see no members of the public we should speak we have Motion in a second there's no further comments from members of the board we're going to go ahead and oh uh border vice president that's just one comment and you know I'm very excited to to see this this has been a you know as as you yourself have said Mr President it's a been a long drawn out process of which I was a part of before I was on the board you know this uh but I was on the bond oversight committee uh this I you know this is a validates all the work that the bond committee has done you know in in the three plus years that I served is to get us to this point where we can once again uh restart the bond programs to fix uh our aging facilities uh you know I've seen I've toured 19 out of 22 schools and I'll be finishing all 22 schools tomorrow and on these buildings are serving you know I think in some cases they're fourth generation of students I can remember um going to goss in aptitude at Goss in October and uh uh the same the same cubby that I use when I started kindergarten were still there in in the kindergarten classroom so I cannot stress uh how important it is to uh to provide the necessary Renovations that these bonds will do whether it's um it's to the buildings themselves but also as as the pandemic and the wildfires of 2020 and 2021 have shown um you know to to upgrade our HVAC systems and to finally hopefully um uh complete central air conditioning in every Alum Rock School uh so um I urge my colleagues to vote Yes on this item thank you very much all right uh for the comments for the board um I'll uh you know also add to that uh that it's very much necessary we've heard some of the concerns and uh very very valid concerns that have been raised by the public and with regard to some of the issues uh taking place we need to be able to access uh the funds in our bond program we need to have somebody in place that can go ahead and coordinate those projects to make them happen this is all part of the process that uh will obviously not solve all the problems the last time we took a look at all the needs it was like half a billion dollars worth of needs um and uh we we obviously don't have that amount of money to be able to solve the problems but we will have the resources we need to get to the the priorities that involve healthy safety um right at the beginning so uh board members yeah thank you I um just want to briefly say that kind of what you said just then you're closing there that in addition to you know the the projects that we need to get going primarily those um safety those ones that were identified as safety concerns um several years back you know this this moving this forward allows us to do that in addition we and I won't belabor the point here tonight but we've talked about additional potential projects that could essentially bring in Revenue to the district annually so um for the purposes of first and foremost obviously safety um with regards to our facilities but also as we look at the bigger picture the possibility of of um kind of I guess you could say thinking out of the box a little bit um in a such a way that it allows us to again essentially bring Revenue um for all intents and purposes to the district so I'm excited about continuing to move this forward and then continuing to improve our situation because of this decision it's all supported tonight foreign board member Chavez I'm really excited to see this and let's vote all right uh I think everybody is any further comments see none then we'll go and call for a vote trustee Chavez hi uh hi more remember hi vice president aye uh with myself winning eye of the motion uh passes unanimously um the time is moving ahead and I definitely want to make sure that we get to the back to the first intro uh before it gets too late uh because I think it's important that the public uh that is here uh see it so uh cover you uh are you able to take it on right now I think so I would try to push through all right can I get you some tea or something like that I'm okay all right all right you'll uh share your screens okay so I believe I left off on this slide right here um here with the add-ons or something like that yes so the add-ons for taking Transportation um these amount have not changed since the Inception of lcf so it has remained the same since 2013-14 um and so you'll see the difference net difference here uh mainly due to the increase in concentration Grant data districts is generating um the 3.4 million dollars um in net revenue and again I do remind that the concentration grants do have those strings um attached to them in terms of how we can spend those funds um going forward to 2022-23 again the total net different it's actually a reduction for next year a 1.5 but if you look at each component you'll see that the base Grant um shows the most uh reduction of about 3.2 million dollars and again this is the most unre restricted portion of lcff so any amount that goes down here um really restricts the uh District's ability to have um discretion or have funds to spend on their discretionary manners and then um going down to the great span um a decrease of about 131 000 um the supplemental Grant uh 488 uh decrease thousand and then um the total net is 1.5 million dollars uh decrease and if this is mainly due um to the additional um declining enrollment that was factor in uh the from the changes from adopted budget to First in a row okay and then moving forward to 23 24 you'll see the net difference again is a additional reduction of 1.1 million dollars but if you look at each component um the base Grant itself you see the biggest decrease of 2.9 Million Dollars um 121 000 for grade span adjustment uh four hundred thousand dollars for supplemental Grant and then again you see an increase in the concentration Grant uh with a net difference of a negative 1.1 million dollars in years 23 24.
barker's got a lane runs into gantt and draws a foul that is gant's first foul [Applause] it is in the active shooting so barker will go to the line north is going to have to get gant in some foul trouble here to get a little bit of a pressure relief in the paint first sub of the game is 32 riley bozeman comes from a good family takes after her mother barker hits both of them 402 to go here in the first quarter it's six to four east leads gravy with the ball in the back court jones defending jones is doing a really good job kyle lost in the passing lane bachmann up and good leah bachmann's a good player she kicked that ball out of bounds as well leah bachman's a good player nick she as i mentioned she's she's on the roster as as six foot um i think she's a post player last year but she she has good hands and good feet and she can play on the perimeter she can shoot up ahead andrea justus one more to bozeman she's gonna kick it back out it's deflected to drive he might have gotten away with it travel and a foul called on the floor here by lauren barker that fouls on barker as brett was saying east if you watched them a couple years ago grivy was really the focal point of all of their offense and they they really have a good balanced attack with several players that contribute she is still the leading scorer of course but they do have players that have contributed and stepped up all year yeah they sure do good job there by lauren barker getting into albany spear creating a turnover 320 left in the first period same trapping up defense here for for east laura's going to have lauren's going to have a lane and another steal or another block by dan i don't know if you're tracking those those blocks maybe pat mckee coach mckee who's doing stats for us that might need a bad another column a column for you coach harley gantz blocks might need two columns here soon dr roberts is saying she has three already [Applause] both teams really being effective getting deflections off the off their press it's out of bounds again to east up ahead to spear lauren barker good act of hands there knocks the ball out of bounds both teams playing playing hard here really they've been a couple turnovers but but no terrible mistakes just turnovers due to hard play i'd say so inbound to stall into the paint [Applause] knocked around lauren barker comes out of there with it she's going to be swallowed up quickly up top as she has been consistently ball goes underneath to lawson bozeman in the corner and that's a second foul on harley gantt you just mentioned that if uh if can't get yourself in a little bit of foul trouble that may change a matter of fact here comes caitlyn crothers who's gonna sub in for camp looks like ganton bozeman might have knocked knees a little bit there too hopefully she's okay trying to walk it off crother's coming in at 6-2 he still has again quite a bit of height down low yeah no relief for the dogs when they sub off the bench is there lawson with a good look can't get it to drop it's a good look though lucy norman's checked in for the dogs great move by stahl for a two-pointer in the lane [Applause] east immediately back in their press lucy norman with the ball she's a 5-10 senior good look to andrea justus mishandles it in the paint east comes away with it bachmann's trapped and fouled by lawson and that is two on lawson see coach white going to the bench abel's is coming in never mind [Music] got to be hard gotta be hard to coach these girls in an emotional game when they're playing really hard they switched that foul to norman that's my fault okay all right norman has one [Applause] leah bachmann for three just off the rim lawson with the rebound [Applause] kyla brings it up she can handle the ball just fine give us to justice can't handle it balls out of bounds both teams nick a little slippery with the ball so hopefully see if that settles in here a little bit now the pace that both teams are playing at and the nerves kayla jones just playing super hard she's everywhere wherever the ball is east goes long on that one gets tipped out of bounds [Applause] belongs to east still 146 to go here in the first quarter east leads 10 to four [Applause] a little bit of disagreement on the lineup on the out of bounds play just pleasantries nick they haven't played against each other for a couple years got to get reacquainted a little bit bachmann on the perimeter back to the basket now she turns gets the ball back to gravy now to spear looking inside stahl comes out to the perimeter to handle it now back to bachmann gravy up top guarded by jones deflected out of bounds by lauren barker [Applause] [Music] uh no subs off that east bench so far besides crothers got herself in with a couple fouls and just one sub there for east so far karim with the ball up top trying to get a screen set from bachmann can't get it to stall on the baseline looking for room to go gravy's going to pull a three and missed it that's really the first look grivy's had north is is playing her man-to-man but when jones is on her she's not not looking to help on help side at all so north is doing a good job on grivy right now but east again getting contributions from many other players right now into sage stall ball can't drop justice with the rebound barker pushes up the floor he's staying in that top of the key trap here andrea justice from 15 feet good look that's a good look and a good shot there by number 12 the senior might be a new opportunity for north high school that can become something consistent here jones with active hands knocks the ball out of bounds again and east will have it at mid court 35 seconds remain here in the first quarter east leads 10 to 6.
so we wanted to show you this uh slide in terms of what the district is projecting to generate in total lcff revenue and comparing it to um what we're projecting to receive in the URLs um as you can see in year 2122 um total lcf entitlement is approximately approximately 106 million 106 million dollars um and I do want to remind the court that uh mainly this is because uh we're still in the whole time with provision so moving towards um 2022-23 this is when the whole Congress division goes away as you can see totality of that entitlement is approximately 96 000 96 million dollars if you compare that to last year that's a reduction of 10 million dollars in lcff uh Revenue alone even with the cola of 2.8 so that's the challenges that the districts has been facing even though the state has been providing Cola you see that in in lcf entitlement due to declining enrollment we'll see a reduction in those fundings year after year and then in year 23 24 compared to year 22 23 there's a reduction of about 1.4 million dollars in lcfs entitlement foreign sets of assumptions um what is the revenue for lcff again so for current year um it's based on 2019 20 P 280a um also over the cola 5.07 um again we're in the whole time this year for year 2223 um the cola is 2.48 again the whole harness goes away and you're 23 24 a cola 3.11 um again no whole harness for aptitude lcff Charter Schools do not have the benefit of Prior uh protection for Ada so all other funding will be based moving forward on current USDA um the cola is the same it's the same as the district for all three years um other state revenue includes the in-person instruction Grant uh for process 3.1 million dollars expanding learning opportunity grants approximately 6.8 which the board approval plan back in May of 2021 sure and then educator affected their block grants about two million dollars um and that's petting actually the board just approved that just recently as early this evening uh for local Revenue um partial tax is going to be significant for us because that expires at the end of this year so in the out years we have removed that from our Revenue budget um starting in 2223 and parcel tax generates about 4.5 million dollars per year for sr2 we included approximately 10 million dollars in the current year and then Esther three there's a projection of about 22.45 million dollars in fiscal year 2223 and 23 24.
east not holding for that last shot great shot there mike bachmann leah bachmann she's the junior nick she's getting she's getting some recruiting looks as far away as west florida actually which is a division two school in pensacola so look forward to see how she progresses stage stall with the steal [Applause] gravity pulls up top of the key for three and knocks it down and just like that east is going to jump out to a 15 to six lead another ball is deflected by bachmann up and good and that is not how north wanted to end this quarter [Applause] dr roberts just said seven points in about 30 seconds there bachmann i believe is leading all scorers with six right now grivy with that three was her first points of the game yeah dr roberts going from 10 10 to 6 to 17 to 6 to close out a quarter that's that's an emotional game like this that's that's got to be tough to overcome that was a huge quarter north got a nice basket within a minute to go to cut it to ten to six and look like that could be what would finish out each came down and seemed like they maybe took a pretty quick shot didn't hold it for one uh but made the basket got another three another rebound basket or stealing a basket so yeah 17-6 here surprisingly all of a sudden dr bozeman do you anticipate north any uh changes here for the second quarter well i i you know i i liked i liked andrea's flash to the to the uh to the elbow there and it's good to see her be able to knock down that shot there are other kids wearing white jerseys that can hit that shot too so that might be an opportunity for for brett white and and coach patberg and their their team to to uh you know against his own you you have to you have to flash you have to move you have to look for opportunities and make cuts and um so we'll see if they if they capitalize on on that i don't see east changing defenses at all there's no reason to no i i think east will continue pressing applying pressure on north that is a turnover on their first possession and they're going back into their trap full court press couple personnel changes here for north number 31 katherine wilson she's a 511 sophomore for the dogs barker's shot is up and no good jones with the rebound gets it to loss and she's blocked i thought there was some body contact there but no call sage stall with a good block the ball's out of bounds subbing in for east number 14 maybe robert she's a 5'5 junior for east also a really good shooter from the perimeter [Applause] bachmann working for the rebound trapped in the corner gets it out to crothers takes one drill but gets it up ahead to stall barker's on the ball again knocks it out of bounds that was great hustle by barker east is continuing to give a north fitz on the offensive oh they are giving it to columbus north here oh interesting marker gets it to lawson she's got a look she'll pull up for a jump shot good choice there jones skies for the rebound and gets knocked out of bounds and will remain columbus north basketball in the corner lucy norman the senior spots up and shoots no good at short barker comes away with the rebound looking for a lane can't get it there gets it back to lost and up top that ball is stolen in a passing lane by sage stall knocked out of bound by lost nick we might have to start tracking balls knocked out of bounds here with a lot of active hands both ways they are you can tell both teams this is a big game they're both giving maximum effort coaches are both up on the sideline great atmosphere maybe roberts with the ball kicked out to cruthers in the paint she's going to look to score can't get it wilson with the rebound gets it to barker hooks up ahead to norman can't get it to her didn't end up scoring there but they're moving the ball well kayla jones with the ball up top gets it to lucy norman at the volleyball line lucy looks for lane gets it to barker she'll spot up blocked by bachmann [Applause] deflector ball is up and good by the sophomore catherine wilson 6 13 remains here in the second quarter fall into sage stall from leah bachman on the assist that's up and good another ball deflected that's going to stay with east that went off barker's foot there it's 19 to eight six minutes left in the second period east is is looking good in terms of their pressure and getting good looks on offense there is a turnover there kick to barker barker's got a good look can't get that one to drop jones with the rebound and turnover goes to east [Applause] albany spear back in for the o's well right now barker has two lawson two for north and gravy three stall four but bachmann is is having a great half right now for columbus east affecting the games in many ways blocks rebounds and points in the paint-to-stage stall another good look can't get that one to drop another good look a lot of contact in there jump ball possession north these officials have certainly certainly left the girls play yeah we're still sitting at three fouls for each team 5 31 remains here in the second quarter balls into wilson she breaks the press to jones top of the key to lucy norman for a three can't get that one to drop karine comes away running [Applause] up ahead to crothers off to albany spear you know she's going to shoot that and usually make it this time didn't drop jones with the rebound another steal by east that should go the other way yep good job there by jones by maintaining her position and that's going to be a charge against karen gravy andrea justice checks backs in back into the dogs stall with another steal which we believe is her third third in that same spot even ball comes into jones up ahead to wilson one more time to justice for barker for a good look at a three won't go lawson with the rebound gets it to justice and she finishes at the backboard good exchange there by the dogs settled into half court defense here east [Music] brothers with the ball gets stripped and knocked out of bounds crother's playing well and and giving gant an opportunity to um rest remain on the bench riley bozeman checks back in for the dogs looks like kayla jones might have some blood to deal with there the both teams in terms of being active off the ball getting ball deflections the effort out there is incredible this first half [Music] with the ball gets it to spear looking good help there by andrea justice to come over and put some pressure on leah bachman barker brings the ball up the floor north's gonna have to get some looks at the basket here they just haven't put many shots up here yet bozeman gets the ball into andrea justice and it's knocked away and that'll go to east [Applause] i thought it was tipped twice by east but i those guys are a lot closer than i am so bachmann with the ball in the backcourt up to albany's spear spear with a good drive in the lane defended well also by wilson barker comes out of the scrum with the ball pulls up three she'll make that that one doesn't go albany's spear with the rebound excuse me gravy with the rebound up ahead to sage stall knocked out of bound by guess who lauren barker and stays with east dr roberts just pointed out it is for all this activity it's only a four to two quarter it was 17 to six at the end of the first and it is 19 to 10.
and again the board approved a plan back in October 26 of 2021. of the 22.4 my 45 million dollars um there is a requirement to use 20 of it for learning loss and then the remaining 80 are for broad usage so since there were a lot of interest um in the one-time covered money that districts have received and will be receiving I do want to put a summary um to show you uh what those funds were so back in last year 2021 you'll see that these are the pots of money that we receive from covet funds um I will go through all of that but the total of that uh for last year was a little over 14 million dollars um for this year um episode 2 um the estimation's about 10 million dollars the in-person grant as previous noted uh 3.1 million the expanding learning Opportunity Grant um 6.8 so in this year Alone um photos about A little over 19.
harley's back in [Applause] blocked by lawson but staged all sage stall is there to clean it up gets it to drop [Applause] [Music] lawson can't get that to drop rebounded by bozeman stolen by gravy [Applause] east not slowing down at all driving to the basket she will go shoot free throws believe that fouls on justice which is their first four team fouls both ways now 303 remains in the second quarter jones back in the game grivy sinks the first fourth point puts east up 22 to 10. [Applause] parker with the rebound and the take and dogs could use some more of that good transition there by lauren barker ball goes up ahead this time looking for sage stall what a great catch by stahl on that one they lobbed that ball over she was fully extended brought it down under control to get the layup he's doing a really good job of finding sage stall i don't know what danny brown's game plan is but if it were me that would be mine get the ball number 20.
it's about 19.9 million dollars and then for years 22-23 um an estimation of about 22.45 um and again as previous stated uh 20 has to be towards learning loss and 80 is for Grant usage so if use tally all these funds up um it amounts to a little about 56.35 million dollars um but I'll go into more details in terms of the bulk and the money um in Esther two and three and what we're using um those money to fund now in terms of expenditures assumption um in the district's increasing its steps in calling for all three years oops um special ed programs continue to increase in costs for all three years um The District's maintaining its three percent um contribution requirement to routine restricted maintenance um calculus rates are as follows um calstrs rates um are as follows here um unemployment insurance um did see a decrease from adopted budget uh to First interim the state did recognize that there was a hardship on many districts in this state so they changed that um increase that were proposed back in May revised um back to or loaded from 1.23 to 0.5 percent foreign including a reduction of 25 certificated fce uh for 2223 to align with the planning enrollment um this is up by 10 uh ftes from adopted budget um to remove independent studies teacher remember um at the beginning of the year the state implemented independent studies where we had to provide independent studies for students who elected to do so and in doing so we had to hire additional teachers um current statue does not continue independent study in its current form for next year and so we're planning that accordingly um in 2324 a reduction of 10 certificated ftes um to align with declining enrollment so here's the piece that we're going to be using um the majority or all of the asset funds for so in year 2122 a transfer of approximately four million dollars in principles salaries of benefits and approximately 4.9 million dollars in custodian salaries and benefits from the unrestricted general fund uh to the restricted general fund to utilize sr2 funds and similar here in 2023 the same amount of principles the same amount in custodians from the unrestricted general fund to restricted general fund to utilize sr3 funds and then similar oops February and 23-24 um a transfer of approximately 3.5 million dollars in principal salaries and benefits and approximately 4.3 million dollars in custodian salaries and benefits from the unrestricted general fund um to restrict the general fund to utilize the remaining uh balance of message three funds you'll notice that the amount are smaller just because in the third year um we're exhausting all the funds and we don't have um we don't have uh ss3 fund to fully cover um those costs and then I know we don't uh do a four-year projection but just a heads up in years 24 25 all salaries that benefit costs for principles and custodians would need to be transferred back to the unrestricted general fund so with those assumptions this is the multi-year projection for the unrestricted general fund as you can see um in year 2122 We Begin of the year with about 18.2 million dollars in uh beginning balance we're projecting to generate 114 uh 114 million dollars in revenue and again I do want to remind the board that this is the whole harness here a total expenditures of about 83.8 million dollars contributions to special ed and routine maintenance of approximately 24.1 million dollars and as you see here um the district is adding to the beginning balance um I think it's noteworthy um the factors that the reasons why um the the fund balance is increasing in this year the first one as I explained before because we are in the whole Commerce provision a year this year and secondly as I mentioned in the previous slide um you know we're using Esser we're using about 10 million dollars of Esser uh three fund uh we're removing um principles and custodial costs from the unrestricted general fund to the restricted general fund so had we not do that the six point my 6.5 million dollar Surplus would have been um a deficit amount and so because we did that um we're projecting to increase the um Surplus from 18.2 to 24.8 um at uh the end of the uh 2122 fiscal year and then moving forward to next year um we began the year with about 24.8 million dollars in the beginning balance um here this year is where the whole harmless revision goes away as you can see um the total revenue is drastically um lower than um than uh previous years if you take a look at it from 114 to 99 um so that's been the challenge the district um in terms of expenditures we're projecting to have a total of 81.8 million dollars um transfers or contribution to special ed and routine maintenance um amounts to about 25.5 million dollars and as you can see here because of the whole Harvest provision going away um the district is actually incurring a deficit of 7.4 million dollars and therefore would be spending down um the beginning balance from 24.8 to 17.3 million dollars at the end of 22-23 year and moving forward to 2324 um starting the year with about 17.3 million dollars um and projecting to generate about 98.4 million dollars in Revenue total revenue and a total expenditures of 81.8 million dollars again contribution to special ed and routine maintenance of about 25.9 close to 26 million dollars again you'll see that um the the deficit um starts to increase more um in the out years so in year 23 24 we're projecting to have a deficit of about 9.3 million dollars which would bring down the reserve level from 17.3 um to a little to a little um over 8 million dollars in your at the end of year 23 24.
leah bachman with a good move on the baseline gets tangled up with andrea justice guess who's there to steal it [Applause] sage stall rips it away more aggressive gets the bucket scores 12 2 20 to go here in the second quarter that's a big run by east dr roberts what are you noticing well you made the mention mr williams of a four to two uh start to the quarter that was a little spurt the state sage stall show real quick three quick baskets and i think one of the things you'll notice is how important is how offense leads the defense east is able to get a basket get into that press it really creates a situation where often times they've got a quick basket right back out of that it ended the first half that way and this little stretch here is based upon the same thing basket getting the press get a steeler turnover another basket and again sage just having a great game right now dr roberts you have some family history in the brown county school system and and gyms a couple of robert's names hanging in the banners there tell us a little about without you know humbly of course which i know you are tell us a little about the the roberts family basketball history in brown county the roberts family basketball history is my older brother but we certainly spent a lot of time in this gymnasium growing up watched a heck of a lot of basketball games saw brown county high school win the sectional championship against columbus seas 101 to 97 and my my brother was a junior on that danny robertson so yeah a lot a lot of fond memories here had some good games uh playing here i graduated in 83 so a long time ago for our listeners columbus north had really good teams back at that time uh dan daniels and and uh chris conley and i think shawn johnson may have been on that team ron berkley so some really good players back at that time so yeah this gym is special to me i've not watched the game very often from this angle here here at the top most of the time a little bit closer to the floor yeah thanks for that the nostalgia of old old gyms you know update them update the facilities as best you can but maintain the nostalgia of the old gems here is really something special [Applause] hadassah hurt has checked in for columbus north uh she's a freshman number 35 for the dogs lauren barker getting a few minutes of rest that ball is getting picked off by leah bachmann but gathered up by katherine wilson sage stahl again up ahead [Applause] who has a 12 point for stahl she is eight in a row jumped that pass at least four times she is influencing this game more than anybody else east with the rebound and they're off at this point north north will get a few looks here and there but they're not getting they're not getting second chances that's that's for certain the stall will go to the line [Applause] that is two on justice [Music] [Applause] north uh bulldog student section demonstrating their ability to self-perform squats with with partners maybe that i don't sage doesn't look shaken by it she missed the free throw so give the give the kids credit [Applause] she'll get the second 120 remains here in the first half 29-12 barker brings the ball up the floor gets the ball to justice one more time over to hurt in the corner misses the three kayla jones cleans it up looks for lawson good give to andrea justice in the post can't finish that when stage stall with the rebound up the head to albany's spear gives it to you know who she gets her own rebound puts it back up north really needs something positive here the last 46 seconds going the halftime sage stall now with more points than the north team that ball deflected by harley gant who's back in the back in the game for the o's 38 seconds remain barker with the ball up top east remains under his own defense barker this time doesn't contest gant hadassah hurt can't connect on the three leah bachmann gathers it up brings up the floor stolen by laura [Applause] and stepped out of bounds with a little bit of help from the east student section i'll say north has gotten a few good looks the last few times down just not hitting the shots right now east continues to go to sage stalin anticipate going down low here the last 17 seconds hold it for the last shot clock runs kayla jones still active on gravy she's going to go in and try to score in and one that's an and one that's a strong finish nick that's that's corrin gravy doing korean gravy things there beating off the dribble getting in the lane drawing contact and finishing such a tough player she's a strong player for sure and completes the three-point play nine seconds on the clock here barker's gonna bring it up and throw it up for a last-second shot gantt's going to clean up the rebound and that's how we're going to end it here the o's lead 34-12 going into halftime we'll take a quick break and come back here in a few minutes and give you some analysis [Music] [Applause] [Music] trees oh [Music] so [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] i we're back here at columbus north memorial gym 517 remains here halftime east leads 34-12 special thanks to former columbus north bulldog head basketball coach coach pat mckee for sending us some statistics here at halftime nick do you want to give us a quick rundown of scoring for each team yeah north going into half with 12 total points barker has four she has one field goal two free throws lawson with two justice with force she does justice is the only north bulldog with two fouls as i look down the list here and wilson has two so they're 12 points it's coming from a lot but they do have 20 turnovers in the first half and really only i believe two free throws so i know coach white will be looking at that at half and looking for adjustments to make to deal with the east pressure east has 34 points going into half they are led she seems everywhere brett uh sage stahl with 15 points grivy with eight bachmann has come up huge with six spear had a three and gant i don't know how many blocks she has but uh she also has one bucket she has 41 blocks nick 41 blocks and east only has 10 turnovers to norse 20.
so moving on to the restricted general fund um the the districts is has a carryover of 7.5 million dollars to begin 2122 um projecting to generate 40.9 million dollars in total revenue um we had a total expenditure of approximately 72.7 um and here is the transfer in the 24.1 million dollar is to transfer in uh unrestricted general fund to um subsidize both um special ed program and routine maintenance um and that's projected to end the year with zero fund balance um starting the year moving over to year 2223 uh the district is projecting to generate about 37.2 million dollars in total revenue with a total expenditures of about 54.9 contribution from the unrestricted general fund of about 25.5 million dollars um and the districts do project a carryover and this carryover is related to the Esther 3 funds that we'll be using in the following year to pay for principles and custodial costs um so with that moving over to year 23 um starting the year with 7.8 about 7.8 million dollars in carryover um the district is objecting to generate approximately 16.1 million dollars in total revenue um with a total expenditures of about 49.9 million dollars um and again Trump contributions from the unrestricted general fund to the restricted general fund of about 25.9 um and projecting that the district would use up all of its uh carryover um thus resulting in um a zero fund balance at the end of year 23-24.
so east yeah their stars are showing up and really putting on a show and their role players are stepping up north is going to have to have that kind of flip the second half uh i i do think they got some really good open looks uh towards the end of that second quarter and hopefully they go down the second half you got to make shots and they're getting some good looks so hopefully that that turns around in the second half here as they regroup at halftime looking ahead a little bit uh east coming off that loss to ben davis here just this past tuesday uh they play eastern high school a 2a school uh looks like a week from tonight then they have zionsville at home and they are at seymour columbus north on the other hand as mentioned they are seven and three coming into the evening tonight we have a contest coming up next week against jennings county at home they host carmel here on the 23rd and they are in a shootout tournament in jeffersonville they play butler high school out of kentucky on december 29th then at terre haute north the next day quick turn around there for for travel the next day all right brad i'm gonna i'm gonna ask you this is there's not necessarily an elephant in the room but it's the uh bus outside memorial gymnasium tonight can you can you tell us about the what what everybody's going to see walking in is the new newly wrapped columbus east bust i think if you've been around sports you know that a lot of other schools have team sports buses it was it was really nice to see columbus have one and parked out front of this event tonight yeah it's kind of an interesting story the original plan was to have both high school buses done this week for rivalry week east's bus has been done for a few weeks now uh special thanks to bcse transportation for making that happen they've been hiding the bus in the bus garage for a reveal here um but unfortunately the north bus won't be done for a while longer here so the decision was made let's go ahead and put the the east girls on the bus and get them excited and uh and they were it's a good video of it so yeah special thanks to bcsc transportation uh for making that happen and north they will have theirs here in just a short uh short few weeks so just to reiterate to everybody columbus north is getting a bus it is getting completed uh we believe there it did get delayed because of a number of reasons i'm sure so north will have a bus here so don't worry but it is it's good to see columbus you'll see those buses around town i'm sure root on those sports teams as they travel really all over the state and support keep continue supporting our kids got a minute to go here in halftime or or so i i see former superintendent dr quick on the other side of the gym over there nick walking through it's special to see uh rivalry week bring out just so many people it's just such a such an important part to the community looking ahead at the sectional here nick these two teams are in the same sectional uh that section was hosted at bloomington north this year and um historically that that sectional is just loaded um obviously it looks like all things have to go through columbus east but east is there north is there east central um they won the sectional last year they're a very talented team state ranked martinsville is always good and then bloomington north bloomington south so we'll see we'll see how this one turns out and then we're going to see how the next 10 or 12 weeks or 10 or 12 games rather go here uh headed into a section where these teams may likely see each other again now brett has john harrell's side up and when the bloomington schools are at the bottom of the list you know it's a talented roster talented sectional east has the ball to start the second half they're moving the ball around pretty quickly here let's get settled into the second half gravy with the ball up top defended well by jones again gets around or scores a bucket [Applause] looks like the same starting five is on the floor for both teams barker breaks the pressure gets it to andrea justice but harley gann is in there for her 54th block of the game so far he gets the head to albany spear defended well by caitlyn jones and barker brings the ball for north again getting really good looks from north harley is is really just blocking everything down low yeah i knew we talked about this a little bit i think off the air but it's it's to me at least it's fun to see it's fun to see kids progress i mean harley hartigan is a good basketball player and nothing against harley but she played some jv last year had some limited minutes uh she she's a good ball player and she's a force to be reckoned with out there also heard she's a pretty good golfer she is yeah not a bad golfer either sage stall you know we keep talking about her but sage seems like she keeps getting better every single day i mean she she also has some varsity minutes last year uh but she's a good player and she is she is getting better um certainly as things progress and leah bachmann another example for east we're like being able to expand her game on the perimeter a little bit it's going to pay off if she wants to play at the next level which which she is as i mentioned getting some looks from schools to be able to play college basketball north applying some good defensive pressure here this possession [Applause] it's a lot of contact here brett letting him play andrea justice good luck can't finish kyla lawson's there to clean it up [Applause] 5 52 here in the third quarter kayla jones continues to be all over grivey trying to slow her down pretty successfully albany spear now she's a threat behind the arc leah bachmann on the drive good block there by andrea justice kick save to albany spears spots up for three doesn't go harley gant cleans it up it it just seems like east is getting every free ball rebound out there cut there by albany spear great finish there north lost track of her she makes a good cut to the lane and scores a bucket that ball is off north and is going to stay on the east side of the basketball court 5 11 to go here in the third quarter northeast in control north really needs something positive here to happen get back in this ball game we have a foul on the floor kyle lawson with the foul there catherine wilson checking in for columbus noor she'll check in for reagan abels inbound again sage stall in the cut can't finish this time collected by lawson loss and injustice both have two fouls out there right now for columbus north good look there another good look and i call harley gant on a foul here [Music] they're letting a lot of contact happen but that that didn't it didn't seem like a lot but harley did get the that is our third the crowd in orange wanted to travel andrea went up the ball with the ball and had a had a collision there and came down with the ball um but oftentimes the referees will blow the whistle when they when they see those posts come down in a downward fashion with their with their arms there so coach brown does not have anybody for gant at this point so she's going to stay in the game with three call hold here on jones jones is playing about as aggressive fronting on grivy as you can get he's done a great job really all game there another quick one oh no they're going to call that on offensively against corinne yeah i think they're getting a little frustrated with each other getting some elbow room in there [Applause] turn her over off the inbounds had some cuts there east comes away with it bachmann up top sage stall lost kyla lawson had a hand on that ball and sage stahl just comes through contact and and one finishes and she goes to the line she she was wide open under there nick i take back what i said sage stall gets better by the minute lawson came came rushing down to to attempt the block there but that is lawson's third so it doesn't look like there's a sub right now but four teams here 441 here in the third period 40 to 15.
so in terms of next steps in future consideration um as you all know um the district has not settled with any units for the current year uh we're eagerly awaiting for the Governor's budget proposal that will be coming out in January and this is for fiscal year 2223.
uh dr roberts thoughts on any adjustments that north can do to shorten this this deficit that's a really tough question i mean looking at things so far yeah so so far this quarter um games changed a little bit a few more whistles here in the last minute or two uh i think that actually can help north uh given east aggression and ability to get to the basket um a few more free throws being shot i think we're at five fouls this half how many do we have the first half maybe 10 total something like that neither team got in the one on one so that's that's changed things uh a little bit but sage stall is a story continues to be the story right now any run that seems to be made by north she's responding well and has a chance for a three-point play here doesn't look like any substitutions out there so again we have lawson and gant out there with three fouls which could play role if north can go on a little run here as mentioned 4 41 on the clock here in the third sage stall finishes the three-point play barker's trapped in the middle stolen by bachmann she pulls up a little baseline eight-footer makes it look easy and north at this point struggling to get the ball inbound and up the floor they get it to their center justice who does a good job of handling the ball and getting up the court that ball is thrown away coach white is telling his girls to slow down and calm down here a little bit inbound to albany spear three guarded by three here alba is another good player who keeps getting better good look in there to bachmann she's gonna pull and get deflected by andrea justice good block there would be a foul on sage stall that is her second yeah the whistles are definitely picking up here maybe trying to get it under control a little bit too and in terms of the aggressiveness jones is substitute out now so it'll be interesting to see what north does with grivey ball's thrown away bozeman's the sub for jones the ball gets in the hands of leah bachmann she finishes at the rim two on one here up ahead to justice and kick it back out to bozeman who kicks it over to lauren barker top of the key same defense for east north did a good job swinging the ball there good good there by lauren [Applause] yeah there have been a couple a couple more wheels so that's a good point a couple more whistles after that uh that jones grivey exchange make it sound bad it really wasn't bozeman's gonna pull three and get blocked back up again that bucket that bucket drops 3 25 to go here in the third quarter [Music] oh a long time collected by catherine wilson there barker's gonna push it into wilson at the post can't finish that one back out to barker in the corner also no good balls out of bounds stays with columbus north you can tell that the east height down low is is really affecting north third they're much more hesitant down low trying to get those shots off but they are getting some looks kind of outside the paint at this point balls intercepted by sage stall another turnover for north she finishes at the rim [Music] unbelievable game by stahl here so far good movement there by north lucy norman swallowed up that ball is going to stay with east yeah nick we talked earlier i have the advantage to be able to watch a lot of these games that the girls play and north they just haven't faced a team that's as long as east and you can you can see by so many turnovers and deflections in the passing lane and there they just have it they haven't seen it so um they explained a lot of the turnovers here that ball is up top to harley gantt and what a foul late whistle there but we'll call a foul on catherine wilson that is her first team's fourth harley will go to the line here dr roberts i'm going to cut to you here real quick anything else you're noticing as we two minutes left in the third we're up above 30 there with that shot by gantt um we talked a little bit about earlier about trying to get to the line to trying to get things settled down here a little bit but um i'm not sure that that's uh going to be too effective at this point i think we talked to this several times in terms of the offense for east turning into defense and it didn't quite there but each time he scores they're able to get back into that press and that seems to get the ball right back i'm not sure where we are with turnovers but at one point in time i know we're over 20 for north and this kind of continues to build up at this time east goes to a timeout here 48-17 fouls this half north for east three which again is at a little bit higher rate than it was the first half [Music] dr bozeman's getting some stats here from old coach mcgee so yeah i do have an updated yeah i think the only thing worth updating here is you got you kind of give me a minute to count these up but turnovers uh for east looks like they're about 13 so that's three turnovers in the second half and north now with 24.
um which we will begin our budget development process starting in January um again as I mentioned previously because of the change to the concentration Grant the district we need to present an lcap supplement in uh in sometime in February um and in March of 2022 the districts will be presenting its second interim uh report and that will be based on the assumption that will be provided by the governor um in January of 2022 as a part of his budget proposal and then in June of 2022 um the district will be bringing um we'll be holding a public hearing for year 2223 budget at lcap and again in June 2022 um we will need to adopt uh the budget and also the outcome thank you with that um I'd be happy to take any questions all right uh question members of the board is uh um board vice president Trump I just head up and then I'll go with uh remember okay thank you very much Mr President so I two questions to to assistant superintendent Chang uh in regards to Esser 3 funds and in the 80 percent uh designated as broad usage uh what is allowable uh under broad usage because I know even though the the terms are nearly self-explanatory my experience with federal funds is that they are highly regulated and categorical yes so fortunately um with answer three or with all extra funds um and Broad usage is you know um essentially that um and the catch-all statement that the state has produced is that you know um any expenditures that um would entails the operation the normal operation of the districts including paying for um current and existing salaries um of the districts to keep to keep the district's operation going okay yeah so is there any more continues no that was it okay okay uh the second question is uh in your in your 22-23 projection uh um there was a 2.48 cola uh projected and we heard in public comment that there was uh a 5.38 cola for 2223 uh you know uh what you know for lack of a better question uh you know you know I see your presentation and then now there's Pub they're in public comments there's been mention of a higher Cola from the state uh what um you know um more gifts is there any is there any new uh is there any information that was late breaking that we don't know of from the state yes so you know um there has been leaks in terms of some information that the governor will be presenting in his January budget proposal but nothing official until it comes out and districts are required to kind of follow uh what we call the common message and it's a set of guidelines that uh the county office event produces for districts to follow and So based on those guidelines um you know they set um the coales that the district should be using um the Persian surveys and things of that sort and since the governor's proposal has not been made official yet we can only base um our first annual report based on um something that our official or and in statute and so that's why when I mentioned that we're going to be bringing the second interim in March that's going to be based on the new assumption that's going to be made official in January okay so basically we just have we need to wait for the official data when the governor makes his uh budget proposal in January and then we adjust uh in Mar you know by March with the new information yes and and just a reminder um you know when the governor presents his budget in January that's essentially an uh a proposal um there's going to be uh a drawn out process where there's going to be a lot of negotiation at the legislative level um which will produce some uh some changes some possible changes in the May revised and you know that budget doesn't become enacted or official until the budget gets enacted sometime in June yes so you know while we're eagerly looking for information that's going to come out in January um there's still a waiting period for us to kind of concentrate in terms of how the final budget is going to play itself out oh because if there was 5.3 you know five point something percent again out from this State you know that's the Manna From Heaven basically so I thought that would that possibly would have been some good news but uh you know I get you know thank you very much for letting us know that you know we've got some until we hear otherwise from Sacramento we have those uh assumptions out of the County Office of Education to use for the time being yes thank you Mr Chang for uh powering through that and and getting us the information that we needed specifically because we asked for it to be a little more thorough and you and appreciate you going through the information kind of with the fine-tooth comb to the extent possible tonight I think it's actually contagious whatever you had going on over there but um um also so first of all I um you know I hear I hear what you just said about the the cola kind of I don't know if you could call it rumor or speculation that's um been out there but there's no oh is there any there's no guarantee to that obviously it sounds like and in the past have there been times when we thought one thing and something different came back and and and so um you know it's how hard is it to speculate on the the um validity or credibility of those speculations um in some years um there could be some changes that we could anticipate I think this year um just following the trend um and we got to be transparent here right just following the trend in terms of um where the state revenue is um it's it appears that you know those information could be true um if not true then it's really close to um what those information are uh that that is out there right now um and so we do Follow That kind of closely in some years it's you know it's way off um this year anticipated that um that information um is going to be very close to to to what it's being out there or being presented out there um but again um in terms of preparation for a first interim we have to go by what the county office issues in terms of those parameters and guidelines um and then that's why we keep updating report on the consist on a frequency um that fast because things changes so much um and you know it's important for us to bring those updates to the board when they're available and official okay and then thank you for that and then the um you also May reference in your um in your report to the routine restricted maintenance account for all three years um he stated that it's we are maintaining a three percent contribution so that's that's pretty solid and set into our projection is that that three percent is what we're keeping in our RMA yes and so that's that's a requirement by Statute in terms of those uh three percent contribution itself and so you know this is not a new thing for the district um unless the statute change um then you know we'll adjust to it but um in the current statute uh every District's required to make that three percent uh contribution so we're not keeping above that three percent then that that we're going by what the statute is requiring correct and there's you know there's no prohibition to um go above the three percent but at a minimum um you're required to contribute um at least two to the three percent level okay and then just my last thing if I understand it correctly then um so there's potential of you know some that proposal that could be helpful to us coming in January by the governor but as you mentioned that's kind of like a proposal then there's a a process or I won't say dry now but the normal process to get through to when it's actually um kind of set and we can plan based on that meanwhile however um it seems to me and correct me if I'm wrong that the district potentially is kind of metaphorically heading towards a cliff because we have these funds that were that is kind of masking or or um you know covering up the reality because we've had you know the opportunity or the luck not luck but the opportunity to to have these one-time funds but that's hiding the fact that as year two year three come along we are steadily heading towards a very significant impact on the budget so even when and if this proposal in January plays out through June concurrently we are still heading with our reality towards those um those numbers that you presented tonight in year two and year three correct is that a safe kind of synopsis yes and just to summarize it um you know just just an answer fund Alone um you know we're using about uh close to 28 million dollars um over the three year the current year 10 million uh next year 10 million and then 8 million dollars in uh year three out to pay for current salaries of principals and custodians had we not have that money um you know we would be incurring it's a deficit in the current year and that deficit would exacerbate by the 10 million dollars that we don't have in Esser fund uh so when those answer funds goes away or it's exhausted by year 23 24 there's right now there's no other one-time um relief funds and so you know the districts will need to start looking into some cost reductions um and able to um kind of align with the loss of Revenue uh from the Ada Cliff starting in next year and also moving forward in terms of the reduction in lcff funding um due to the declining enrollment itself so any decisions that we make as a board in the near future then we need to make with extreme Prudence because um you know even though there may be some positives that we're looking at there's our fiscal responsibility would it would behoove us to be very prudent in any decision that we make just because of what we know as a reality now okay um well thank you for that again Mr Chang and hope you hope you feel better and I hope you don't digitally transfer whatever you had over to me um um thank you Mr Chang for providing such detailed uh report um I know we all asked for it so I appreciate you uh uh bringing it back um and answering the questions you know when we would meet with Dr Bauer individually I'm sure we all had questions um I just wanna I think you know it's kind of beating a dead horse or that saying right but I think it's important because we keep hearing about the cola um you know and how we're getting five point you know and I think different numbers have been thrown out but um just to ask again to confirm to hear it again so that 5.07 percent is approved for one year so it's not like you're getting 5.07 and it's gonna be 5.07 forever well McMaster yes I'll start with that um yeah so so the cola itself um is applied to the base of lcff so whatever that base increases that continue to increase um the problem with with the challenge with us is that even though those base increases for us would be the numbers the declining enrollment cost is a reduction in Revenue itself so had we maintained the level in Roman we would see our funding increase by those percentage but due to declining enrollment we're seeing actual a decrease in funding um and so at one of my slides when I was comparing um this year's lcfs funding uh to next year and show that you know we show a 10 million dollar reduction um even though there's you know a 2.48 cola so that's been our challenge is that you know even though the state is getting this Cola because of declining enrollment we actually see a reduction in Revenue compared to um you know our expenditures which um continue to go to to to go up and like you said right so we had 5.07 but then it goes down to 2.48 Cola I mean it's not like we're continuing to get that 5.07 ongoing even that Cola goes down um but I just wanted to highlight you know because I know that we get I mean I think I don't I can't even it's been a lot that we hear that back but I wanted to make sure that our public understands that uh you know these numbers that it might sound like here's all this money and you're going to continue to get this and magically right it's going to continue to accumulate um but you know just like you did so beautifully in explaining how you know it's not all this money that we're getting and it's just accumulating but you know really how we get to make sure that we manage manage these funds appropriately to ensure that we have a district for seven generations to come um and that we don't fall off that Cliff that uh trustee harano mentioned um so yeah thank you for that I won't take more time I think the best analogy is sort of like um were able I I should say we are being paid for that you know if this were a pizzeria we're being paid more for each Pizza we're selling but the problem is uh were were facing a loss in orders for pizza so even though we're able to charge you know as you mentioned the base gets higher but you know with the declining enrollment you know where it's not in the base increase is not enough to cover the the losses incurred due to declining in Rome that is correct and lastly I I wanna you know uh thank you for for putting up such a detailed report yeah you know I know even though uh it's not always good news it's kind of like uh having the E the kid eating having to eat the Brussels sprouts I mean uh we we need you know it it's it's basically our festival guide going forward until we hear otherwise so I wanted to express my appreciation for you for putting uh a very detailed financial report to the board and also I wish you uh speedy recovery for whichever growth unit you're having I uh Cough Drops cough drops that was my uh Saving Grace in grad school all right foreign okay well first of all I just want to say that believe it or not I love brussels sprouts and number two um actually this question is towards either Dr Bauer or um I know both of you had the opportunity to attend the csba conference recently and so I'm just wondering um because Mr Chang brought up kind of how that declining enrollment is impacting I mean what we knew already is having such a large impact on our situation at the conference whether in presentations or informal conversations with people across the state um did you do you have any indication of trends other areas or other regions with regards to enrollment or or are we in this County or in this District kind of like a an island experiencing this alone if it's okay uh president better to respond um sure I say as I mentioned at the last four meeting um you know having gone to csba it was it was good to be in like a room with thousands of other trustees good and sad right but to know that we are not the only ones experiencing this um and actually a lot of the workshops uh were focused you know on on conversations of the effects so for example um I went to a workshop about you know um uh the land use and what it do because a lot of a lot of districts are experiencing um possible you know school closures um more than half um at least the ones that I interacted with same same thing across the board um so yes it's not just specific to Alum Rock it's something that most are experiencing that were maybe like I want to say maybe 10 that were actually experiencing the opposite um and so I could see you know places that maybe um are a lower cost to move to they're actually building more schools right which it made sense but very few districts were building more schools compared to the ones that had um excessive you know schools trying to figure out what they're going to do with their land um and being creative and bringing funds into their districts all right uh board member Chavez okay um I was asking many questions so here it is um Mr Chang uh when I just want to clarify for the community uh so I know that uh you keep repeating that holding the district requirements a lot of people when I tell them that they're not exactly sure what I mean so what I try to do is explain to them because of the decline in enrollment as of June 30th 2022 we will no longer be getting the money for 10 500 students which we had in 2019 we will be getting funded under what we have now so Dr Bower said that our number is about 8125 is what I heard her say so what I would like to know is if the average then was about ten thousand dollars for student so what is the average on the that you calculated for 2022 slash 2023 the dollar amount for each Ada could you tell me that uh and also because I know it's a hypothetical number but what is the number so that we can base it on how you calculate it for 21 22 22 23 and 23 24. could could you give me each uh figure of the Ada for each of those school years please yes give me a minute or maybe I should ask first was the year was that total 8125 and if it's more can you let me know that first please I'm sorry I'm not following your question okay so on page one uh where you put right there uh so you have the actuals for 2019 and 2020.
so as this game has gotten a little away from columbus north here really last two quarters i i think they'll have to continue to look for things to build on as this is a potential sectional match up for them so look for them to continue making adjustments look for positive things to build off but again another turnover as he springs it down hard again with a good look to sage stall in the post [Applause] she does a she does a really good job of finishing at the rim nick lucy norman with a good look and a good move to the bucket that won't drop kyle loss with a strong rebound and put back north is going to need more of that one of kyla's strengths to be able to fly around grab rebounds and put him back up albany spear with a step through tangled up gonna be a jump ball stays with east [Applause] bro you mentioned sage finishing at the rim and i think that's extremely important sometimes you somebody has a high field goal percentage you say well it's because they're shooting the bass basketball around the rim all the time well if you're in traffic that's not an easy shot to make she is able to get her body in the right way and get the shot in the right way where she can get up off the glass and and make the shot so a really good quote-unquote layup shooter that's not necessarily easy when you're when you're in traffic good finish there by karen gravy yeah dr roberts it's a really good point and sage another turnover there for north sage is an athletic kid um and i'm not gonna go try to guess weights of girls but she she doesn't have a big frame i mean she plays like she is a much has a much bigger frame on the post uh and she you wouldn't you wouldn't guess but she uh she plays strong at the post and she finishes very well she does her aggression i think is a part of that and she just plays bigger than she is i think you said that maybe at the very start of the game is she's uh you know six foot or so but she plays much bigger than that just the way she uses her body uh positions herself and there's another turnover that leads uh leads to the basket games definitely williams you said earlier what can north gain at this point in time and made a really important point this is a potential sectional opponent so as we try to finish this game out is taking a look at things what what can we learn and grow from here [Applause] good rebound there by harley gantz he might have knocked heads with kyla lawson [Music] that clock is running down here 12 seconds left another good move by gantt [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah they will administer a running clock here from from here on out that's the end of the third east leads 58 to 19.
that is what we have been getting the money from the state not holding us um they're hold they're not holding us harmless because of the declining enrollment so um that figure we know but the figures for 2021 the the Ada amount how much was that for 2021 and then the amount for 2122 and then each consecutive year after that 2022 23 2023 24. so you have the dollar amounts here but what is the number of the Adas for each dollar amount and I'm sorry for the math problems well clavera pulls that up is there I'm sorry I didn't put it down from the last one oh okay is that from before um well uh Dr Bauer had an announcement about Tick Tock challenge I know it's not on the agenda but it's a very serious issue that came up and so I um if you can uh let us know what uh maybe we could take the opportunity to bring it up thank you and and if if this is going to take a little bit longer I'll respectfully ask a trustee Chavez if we can answer her question in writing later on um because it also deals I'm sorry because it also deals with how you know in order to get the information to approve or not approve you know I really would need that number this evening I I am interested Charles I wish you had given me that question last night when we had the conversation so that staff could be ready but that's okay we'll try to you know that's what I thought that he would have that figure because remember I said I have a coverage question on the Adas that was my question to you and I thought you might have uh told him that but that was my question poor Mr colbera on the dollar amounts what is the Ada numbers on each one because we know the amount that he's putting down here and we know the amount of the 10 500 in 2019 and 2020 that we're being hold harmless for but what are the actual uh student uh number for each of these years it was in the presentation all right please provide a career so um in 2019-20 um The District's Ada was uh 8452.
north just doesn't uh they just don't have an answer and these keeps running that was that was a 24 to seven quarter for east there so east really displaying some dominance here and i think norris frustration with it and really i think if you're columbus north they've they've done a pretty good job with grivy but in doing so and and again kind of looking ahead potential sectional match-ups they've got to figure out how to slow down stahl uh her her long [Music] frame she's athletic really can uh control her body around the the rim and i think that'll be something that coach white and his staff kind of look at moving forward as again they've they've done a pretty good job with their other stargrivy seeing what adjustments they can make and bachmann is now in double digits as well i believe a great point uh nick in terms of of grivy they've done a really nice job there um you know the jones girl has played and played her very tight uh they've got to know each other pretty well this game because they've been so up close and personal so a great job by the jones girl um i wonder as north gets into this fourth quarter and again just trying to learn some things and what kind of engagement are they going to get from each of their players with the score the way it is can they keep them engaged keep them locked in play as well as they can try to finish this thing strong that was that was harley gant again affecting another jump shot from columbus north as brett said i don't know if north has seen the size that east has right now and again that takes adjustment and they'll learn from it it's an open look spear knocks down the three you can't leave her open she'll she'll make those shots for sure we talked about leah bachman she finished out that third quarter strong that she mentioned before she does a good job handling the ball but she can pull up and shoot from 15 18 feet consistently and at the next level those are things that those coaches are going to be looking for to expand upon lucy norman with a good cut blocked by stage stall parker for three hits it that is the first three pointer for the night for north i believe they've had some good looks there see at this point dr roberts how well how well the bulldogs can stay engaged in this and and not become frustrated and yeah that's key and nice basket there by by lauren i think that was as nick said the first three they've had so they've had some decent looks couldn't get those to go down early and then sometimes those three pointers lead to runouts on the other end so just been a few things that have that early second quarter in particular started to build that lead and and uh getting to be a challenge i think we stall back at the line for a couple more free throws where are we at with points or she's got to be starting to approach 30.
um that doesn't reflect our total enrollment because 88 is calculated by actual attendance and so enrollment could be higher that's 8452 correct 88 yes okay so the district has been funded at Ada for year 20 and 21 22 and so uh moving forward we were not able to use that ADA anymore in 2022-23 we will be using this year's Ada um because this year's Ada is going to be higher than next year 88 because we're projecting to have more declining enrollment um can you give me that number for 22 23 and 23 24 please yes so for year 22 23 um the total District Ada uh is projected to be 7439 so almost a thousand dollars a thousand uh okay and the next one after that please um seven thousand I'm sorry can you mute yourself really quick when you're mad can you say that again Mr Colbert please so in year 22 23 7439 okay 23 24 7 102.
feels like 90. i lost track uh here in the second half so maybe brett can help us from pat's text here that is lawson's fourth and she is staying in i believe 22 for stall is what i show 22 23 after that one that would be your 24th right there either 24th or 26th i might have missed one here and really in basketball when you only have five players out there one player who is playing as well as she is can really can really change the game uh 20 percent of your team really uh and and you see that all the time but she is she's doing outstanding i think this would be a surprise for a lot of people this score line that are tuning in now or the the fans that have come out to this game but she's really been a game changer good cut there by corinne can't get that one to go harligan cleans it up sage stall [Applause] sage stall does it again put back in bucket lauren barker contest harley gantt and harley gant will have none of that i would just i would just say dr bozeman if i was a college recruiter in the stand tonight i'd be making an offer uh to sage at the end of this game she's uh just just scored in all kinds of ways and and uh really really been i know it's a now a 40 plus point game but she really set the tone and has been the difference [Applause] coach danny brown empties the bench there and gets all five starters out at the same time to a big ovation here by the the fans in orange lost him with the ball up top gets good look won't drop jenna goose now in here for east with the rebound and the take lost control took a tough fall and now north is going to also [Applause] empty their bench we'll say historically this is this is usually a very very close matchup i cannot remember the last time east has been able to come into memorial gymnasium and and really have their way but you know even even my time here uh with with klein ants and then teaching here throughout the years with with again uh between both schools really having lots of all-state athletes this is this is a rarity that you would see in terms of one team really showing their dominance over the other elise preston with the ball now she's a sophomore for columbus north gives it to bozeman up top over to jones in the wing she makes a good move on allison craig elise will put up a three looks good [Music] kind of get a look at the next the next wave of of players here for both teams elise preston number five uh she lettered as a as a freshman last year for north that's a good steal by kayla jones draws a foul elise preston's uh she's a good player she's an up-and-comer she's a sophomore now for for columbus north so look forward to see how she progresses 328 remains here in the in the contest dogs trail by 40.
thank you in terms of the average funding per Ada um in the current year it's for lcff alone it's 12 um and twenty three dollars next year will be twenty twelve thousand three hundred and seven and then 23 24 it's 12703. thank you all right further questions from the board uh all right at this point I'll go to the public uh question from the public comments yes before President we have uh one person want to make a comment um Sandra Rivera Miss Rivera you have two minutes T mute yourself you can speak in the timer will begin good evening I just wanted to clarify I know um Miss Karina Herrera Loretta asked Mr Chang and I don't know if the answer got kind of mixed up in the metal there but a cola is ongoing so that 5.07 that we get this year becomes the base for next year and then that base gets an additional Cola of for next year of whatever it is so if it's 2.48 which is what he projected but I've been doing all of the numbers that I'm seeing are putting it anywhere between 5.48 and 5.9 for next year so Cola doesn't go away the cost of living stays with us but it's not like we get 5.707 5.07 that just becomes the new base that's like the base salary and then from that base we get another Cola or cost of living adjustment so I just want to make sure that that's pointed out because the way that it was explained um it wasn't explained quite clearly and so we are getting ongoing Cola is ongoing but that just becomes the new base so thank you thank you Ms Rivera for president at this time we have excuse me one more public comment Miss Jessica the voting Mr voting you have two minutes please submit yourself when you begin speaking the timer will begin you're hearing a lot from me tonight I have a question in regards to the sped funding as enrollment was going down as you were projecting as this is all projections none of this is actually in in you know solidified Why is the the cost of sped and infrastructure going up I noticed it was like a million close to a million dollars more each year but enrollment was going down and also if the if the each kids per Ada is increasing by a cola increase why would it not for staff um so I also don't see us going off a cliff if we continue to keep getting funds every year um and a cola increase every year I feel like we're gonna be okay um but yeah so that's those are some of my questions um thank you thank you Mr body our next speaker is Jocelyn Miss MERS we have two minutes please send me yourself we're gonna begin speaking the timer will begin thank you uh first I want to thank Sandra Rivera for her explanation because it was very frustrating sitting here knowing that the information that was being explained may have been misinterpreted again as Sandra did explain that but that Cola is ongoing money it would be as if you decided to give us a raise that raise doesn't go away next year it's on the salary schedule and it continues on and then we add to it the following year hopefully uh aside from that I also want to make a point that yeah declining enrollment is happening all over the county as um trustee Herrera lawera explained I know that many of the districts surrounding us are experiencing the same thing I also know that along with that our expenses go down we don't have as many students that we teach we don't have as many teachers we don't have as many anything um and also along with that is um the fact that if you compare the number per student that we get for our unduplicated population uh compared to the districts around I believe that we get more than most all the districts around per individual student so something to keep in mind thank you thank you Miss Merce at this time we have no more public comment you're on mute Mr President we're back to members of the board any last questions from members of the board you know this is a very important topic and worthy of a lot of deliberation or all right so see no no questions from members of the board then I'll go ahead uh take a motion to go ahead and accept and approve the 2021-2022 first intro reports for a motion yeah what's it was in land use it to approve you're really scared of acceptance I was on mute okay uh motion from uh board member second by gerano I don't know all right um for the questions I see you uh no board member I don't know I remember aye uh word vice president um hi uh with myself 49 that motion passes four to one with Chavez descenting all right um we have uh 8.01 resignations it's for information only at this point I'll call before any uh comments from the public any comments for the public okay thank you uh we're gonna go ahead and move on to 8.02 certificated substitute paying rates Back to December 17 2021 are there any mem uh any comments for the public comments for the public probably come in at this time or prison there's none uh Dr Bower had her handle I'll let everybody know that the reason we're bringing this back is because we forgot to add those substitutes who are substituting for more than 15 days so that's the rate that is being adjusted to um show the the increase that we're offering them that's the only change to this substitute rate I hope the board um considers this and approve it thank you all right um a we called for public comment on 8.22 correct just to clarify Dr Bao you meant you said approve it but this is information only correct this is for information only I apologize I'm thinking about the the other stuff I apologize sorry it's here thank you uh we're at 9.01 items 9.01 through 9.05 are all Aces grants correct and so if you could give a quick uh overview on on Aces with like a one or two sentence to just for the public to know this is again from the state it's part of the covet funds and it is to provide to increase the number of students having access to after school tutoring situation that money cannot be used in any other way correct designated just for that all right um 9.01 through 9.05 obviously can't take it all in one shot it is very similar but let's avoid any sort of risk and it just go through each one uh what you're gonna make a motion uh well I was about to ask I would have been you know possible to combine them all as one item but I guess you know it's very they're all very similar so I'll take it so motion to approve items 9.01 to 9.05 uh do I have a second second uh and uh yeah I don't know yeah uh I mean anybody can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe in situations very similar to this we've had direction from Council that we should still take them individually um I know they're very similar um but I thought I remember it in similar situations that we were advised to take each item individually all right let's go ahead and take them one by one then are you guys okay with uh yeah unless I'm remembering incorrectly but sure all right so um so I need to sorry I'm sorry your voice is going in and out so do I need to ask to approve 901 uh for a motion on that so since we're going to take it individually yeah I'm asking uh board member that is fine that is fine yeah he was drawing his motion so second you're moving for 9.01 is there a second yes second all right uh motion by Travis all right thank you I'll go ahead and call for what is the CU Travis hi remember how I know hi or board member hi vice president aye myself 49 motion costume 9.02 proof and with the item 9.02 do I have a motion to approve item 9.02 motion to approve uh second second to motion Vibes vice president prom taken by uh board member is there any public comment on 9.02 no public comment seem none I'll go ahead and call for what it is to you or remember Chavez hi Vice President Palmer aye what's up with an eye emotion pass unanimously uh 9.03 do I move to approve World second vice president prom taken by board member Chavez is there any uh comments from the public no no public comment at the same see none then I'll go ahead no call for a vote as I see
