>> [clears throat] >> For those of you that want to come to the spring concert it is May 4th it's a Monday and I believe in front of you or Montana has it you've got an invite for the FFA banquet which is which is May and there's always there >> [clears throat] >> at the FFA banquet so I believe that's everything I have. Sorry I feel like I wrote a book but there's a lot going on and Miss Fike can play your speech. I am. I'll turn it over to Miss Fike. >> [clears throat] >> Thank you.
Four. Four. Four. Four. Four four. Four. Four. Four. >> Multiply and subtract one. I think that's easier. How many? >> Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. 10. >> 13. >> 14. >> No. >> He's not. But he is. >> He's not voting right now. But he's not scoring. >> Okay. So, >> ah, you're right >> because that What's your total? >> 52 minus one is 51. >> Okay. So, somehow it's working out. We must have the same number of people last time. All right. Now, we're looking at the registered nurse schedule repair. Is it fiscally responsible and sustainable? Show me your scores. 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 52 >> Okay. Years of service for all employees. Is that fiscally responsible and sustainable? Looking for scores. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, >> 12, 51. Yep. I had 12 at four and one at >> all employees means all employees.
>> any questions? No any questions? Thank you. >> [clears throat] >> Well Nigel is actually out at the track meet that apparently got started about an hour and a half late due to the weather but um it just we've done I learn just like Stephanie was talking about so we started that this week and that'll go on for another week. Um our spring [clears throat] sports are going we have golf right now which is coed soccer is coed and then track we have the boys and the girls teams. Um they're going great things are well. The one that I wanted to bring up that was pretty awesome that our FFA program and ag program is soaring right now. Um we were blessed with our livestock judging. I looked at Montana because Alyssa was 10th place high individual. Um and our red and our blue teams took ninth and 10th place.
>> Okay. >> The merit for classified um is this fiscally responsible and sustainable to increase it. Is there a reason it's red? >> I think I highlighted it red on the sheet to make sure like to talk about it in the scope of the 750 which it needs to live within the 750. Right, Vanessa? It's not Okay, got it. It was more I think it was like uh this plus about 90,000 but I was able to cover um I went back and dug through classroom site fund law and we feel we can cover some of the costs through that other funding source. So this would be the parts we can't cover. Okay. All right. So I'm looking for >> Justin. We're evaluating >> Here's the problem though. That's gonna skew the data. Oh, we can just do the last two. Yeah, we'll add his numbers in >> the last two >> to have him.
So every year it seems that we see this we're getting better and better and catching up with schools that have been doing this a lot longer than Maconaquah has. So it shows we've got wonderful people in place that are teaching those and the kids want to learn and they want to do better and they're putting in a lot of extra time after school practicing and building and learning. So, it's been fun to see that group of kids in our building here at Wayne. Other than that, we've got a lot of stuff going on. STEM week will be coming up. So, after testing we get STEM week. Please stop by and see it. It is what I like to say controlled chaos. I [clears throat] visited when I went came from Peru to here. I came to see in today at Maconaquah. And that was the time I picked and they're walking around and stuff.
But here's what I'm wondering. If we look at the numbers that we evaluated on the last one, like any from last week, like the legal one, we were still in the same >> we were missing somebody. >> Okay. >> Oh, >> so we need to >> Okay. So, what I'm saying is we need to leave one person's score out because otherwise it's going to look like this is scoring higher than others. So, >> yeah, it doesn't feel right. >> You're just I think you should just >> But you didn't do it. I'm not a We can do it mathematically however you want. I'm just >> add the number of people and then you have like a nice number that's like 3.6 or 3.8 or four, right? It's easier to understand that that's a 3.8 on a one to four scale 49. >> That makes sense.
I was like, "What are they doing?" You know, they're walking around with shears in there and moving around and he's like, "Oh, yeah, just wait as you get going." So, it's fantastic to see and you know, getting that grant has paid huge dividends I think to the middle school. So, it's great to see that stuff.
>> Yeah, that's true. >> Number two people. >> So >> 12 people. >> I think >> okay. >> Yeah, >> it was. Okay. All right. I did not remember that. So I'm looking for scores for merit for classified employees. >> So we'll just keep going as is. >> Let's keep going as is and then we'll compute the math. >> Yes, that's fine. Y so just we're evaluating based on fiscally responsible four is the highest >> one. >> So we'll come back to the first three in just a minute. >> No pressure but tell us your answer. >> Okay. All right. So let's evaluate the merit for classified employee increase. I'm looking for scores and then we'll come back. I'm looking for scores. One, two, three, four, >> five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12. >> Oh, sorry, Dorothy. I'm not sure where you are.
Any questions? I think so. You can tell my joy did better than he did. >> [laughter] >> And I was quicker, tell him. >> [laughter] >> Okay. More comments? Mr. Besner? Nothing tonight. Mr. Chesebrough? Nothing tonight. Mr. Adams? Nothing. Mr. Wilson? I'm stretched. Appreciate everybody's energy motivation. Go on. >> [snorts] >> Mr. Chesebrough? Second what Mr. Adams said. Thank you very much for all you do. Find it hard to believe the next time we're all in this room, school will be over. Yeah. It doesn't seem possible. So, it's kind of crazy that it's went by this quick. I'm sure you all don't feel like it's went by this quick, but but it really has. So, great job. Keep up the good work. Keep things going. The reality store that Dave mentioned, yeah, I had people there and we figured we'd be there all day and they put it together really well.
>> Oh, I'm sorry. >> I have >> I thought this was >> You got it, Kelly. >> Okay. All right. The next option >> 100% connected to >> please turn off >> battery 100% battery 100%. >> Oh my god. >> It is Yeah, it's probably listening to everything. Let's evaluate um a five I'll fix that in a second. 500 minimum increase. Oh, we didn't evaluate this one at all. >> Option six, AP contract extension. No increase to base pay. Is this fiscally responsible and sustainable? >> Ariel option number seven. All fours. >> 56. >> Okay. >> 56. >> Option seven. Holiday. Three additional holiday pays for 30-hour classified employees. Is this fiscally responsible and sustainable? >> Okay. I'm looking. One, two, three, four. Ivonne 5. >> What's your >> I have 12 at 48 + 6 54 >> 54. District subscre 40,000. Is this fiscally responsible and sustainable?
By the time I got there it was about over. So, our kids all behaved really well. Matter of fact, I heard a lot of good comments from the people that were there how well behaved our kids were. So, kudos to all that. June 4th, the active shooter is here. Just to kind of bring everybody up to speed. Last fall, we did the same thing at Peru High School. It's a lot easier to do it at a city school. Yeah, the control over everything. The hospital six blocks down the street. We all talked at that time, you know, when do we do it at North Miami Maconaquah? And we [snorts] decided to do Maconaquah this year. North Miami will be next year. There's a lot of goes into this. There's a lot of things that happen in the initial 15 minutes of any of these events that you never want to have happen that can change the outcome of everything.
Looking for scores. >> Oh, we're going down and not across. Oh. I'm trying to get my neighbor under control. >> All right. Four. What's yours? >> I'm four. Going across all seven. >> 11 12 13. >> I have 56. Okay. Half a percent increase for all employees. Is this fiscally responsible and sustainable? I'm looking for scores. >> 34 >> 47 >> Okay, 47. Adding three days to the sped teacher calendar. Is this fiscally responsible and sustainable? Scores three. 26 12 14 >> Thank you. >> 42 >> 44. Thank you. Uh increasing the ED secretaries from 11 and a half months to 12 months. Is this fiscally responsible and sustainable? Looking for scores. One through four. Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, >> 51. >> I went from a two to a three. >> Okay. 52. >> SEI. >> Yes. Um on option 11, if we were to do that, it would start for this year, right?
So, if you're available, volunteer, come out and watch, see what all happens. It'll be really interesting. And we do have a different dynamic. We don't have a full-time paid fire department in there. We don't have full-time police officers that are right there within the city limits. So, when we're dealing with the rural schools out here, it's going to be a learning curve for everybody. What what works, what doesn't work. So, that's why this is getting put on. And um it's going to be an all day event. So, yeah, if you can come out Does everybody know what time it starts? Like, hey, be there at 8:07 because we start at 12 after and Yeah. Or is there some element of There there The initial will be an element. We will be staging over by the bus barn.
>> July >> would start on July one and they would still have the ability to take if they were interested in taking their vacation time in July, they could still do that. It How does the vacation work? Like is it automatically or you earn it by time? your crew uh vacation, but they would have if they have PTO, they could use PTO >> because it's earned leave time. >> They wouldn't get vacation, >> correct? Yeah. Because their contract would start July 1. >> I guess I just want to make sure like in in the change time, they're not losing out at all. >> Um >> no, they're not losing anything that they wouldn't 12 month employees a group vacation days. So they would have zero vacation days of next year. So they wanted to take that time during >> but yet they're still going to be working more right away.
And then we'll simulate because we all know that a normal response time in a city would be two to three minutes at the max to have your first responders there. Here we're we're estimating it could be anywhere from five to 12 minutes. So, we'll stage that first go around out. We'll be staged at the bus barn. We'll we'll go to active and then the first first responders aren't leaving the bus barn until probably seven minutes into the incident. So, it's really created a lot the same thing for law enforcement. Other than our SRO on campus, you wouldn't have an initial law enforcement response either. So, we're going to delay that. We we're having decided what the timeline on that's going to be. Just to get the realistic how long does it take to get somebody in the building? How far are they progressed in the building?
So they are going to kind of lose out. >> But they're they're earning vacation time. >> Yeah. >> No, I know they do. I just I I want to make sure that we're not like >> the following year or the following summer they have vacation time >> and they wouldn't they wouldn't be obligated to take those that last week of June first week of July which is pretty much what it is right now right because the two weeks on their contract they don't the first work the first week of July they don't work the last week of June and that's the two weeks that makes them whatever the 11 and a half month Right. >> That's true, too. Yeah. >> Okay. Option 12 is uh $500 SEI pay for the twohour model for teachers. I don't know. Stipen times 58. Is that not >> That's the number of teachers.
What's it look like? How do we triage the people in the building? So, it should be it's it's going to be eye-opening cuz we have all the data from what we did in Peru and that day. So, it'll be interesting to do a comparison to see what happens. So, state police will be involved in this one. They were not involved in the one in Peru. It was city and county. The city police department, the city fire department, we're we're committing so many people to that cuz we know if the call came out, >> [clears throat] >> we're responding. It's it's not going to be, well, we're going to sit here and wait and see if they need us. We're we'll decide what our what our response would be and then that's the number of people that we'll have here to respond that day. So, it should be interesting.
>> Thank you. Is this fiscally responsible and sustainable? Looking for scores. 7 10 13 26 28 30 32 34 34 38 >> 41 >> Sorry. Um the SEI pay is this for home room teachers who also teach the the SEI model or is it for like the allocated specific SEI teachers? Who is that for? >> The ones who model. >> Yeah, this is not related to staffing allocation because that allocation wasn't determined when we first started talking about compensation meet and confer. So it would be for those two-hour model teachers that are doing pull out is my understanding of the group's sentiment on that. >> Okay. Amber's got question or comment. >> No, it it was specifically for the teachers that are not pull out SEI but they're still doing the two-hour model. Um that's what we were thinking because the SEI teachers that's just their job.
I'm hoping that it's well attended. And like I said, the more people come out and watch, um they'll think they're doing three evolutions in the first group in in the morning and then three in the afternoon to go through. About six different times that day. So, >> [clears throat] >> So, that should be a good thing. And so, kind of start putting the word out. People will start asking. And um the way we did it when we did the one in town, we used all private radio channels so it didn't get out. Well, we found out none of it worked because communications didn't work on the scene. So, without going through the true 911 thing, we we kind of had some lags there. So, so this time [clears throat] it will be. So, we'll get the the usual Peru scanner, everybody else, oh my gosh, you know, even though they haven't looked at the calendar to see what day of the week it is.
Um, >> yeah. >> But the teachers that are having to plan and do a Zella training and stuff like that for >> in addition to all the other things that they do, Yeah. they're getting these kids ready for >> Yeah. We figured the one hour model wasn't as big of a situation, but the twohour model without pull out would get it. >> Yeah. The two the two-hour model is only home room teachers >> like that. There's no And no one does pull out two hour, right? No, it's the ones. >> Some are >> Hang on one second. Ariel, then Katie, then Ivon or maybe Amber, I don't know if you need to respond to Ariel. So, Ariel, what are you going to say? I thought I was on the impression was so my interpretation of the two-hour model is what the district used to do before they gave all these other different options when we did the two-hour models and there were certain things you had to do within those two hours especially.
