>> 0 for one and it'll take a ball. >> Here's the one out. >> That's a strike. Another breaking ball from McFarland. The count's even at one. 1-1. That's upstairs. Two balls in a strike to Merurmlstein. >> 2-1. Well, that's a shot into right center field. That is down for a base hit. Mark Mermlstein. A sharp single there. A two out base runner for the Glockers. It's a good swing there. >> Gray Clark up to the bat. Wants to take advantage of that single from Mark. >> Ashan looking for some two out magic. Clark's 0 for one. Here's the first pitch. That's a line drive into right field. That is down for a base hit off the glove of the right fielder. Mermlstein heads for third. He's going to be in there standing up. Backto back singles for the Clockers. It's Mermlstein and Clark and they're on the corners with two out.
Yeah, just have Bella fire high fastballs if they're going to show bunt. Shows bunt again, fouls this one off. Now she's ahead 0-2. I I think that you probably >> to call it off. Yeah, probably have to put the bunt back in the back pocket here on this one. But that's exactly what you have to do as a pitcher. High fastballs are harder to bunt. They sure are. And and and and Bella, like I said before, can hit a spot really nicely. Uh let's see what she can do here up 0-2. Strike three, you're out. Second strikeout of the game for Domestico. Second one swinging as well. We've got two outs here in the top of the third bringing up the top of the order, Valerie Lamont. The shortstop has been busy defensively today. Uh and she is 0-1 on the day with a groundout to Haley Butermann.
One pitch, one out for Bradica. >> That was a deep line drive, but >> Ashland's outfield has been good. >> Yeah, Turniff able to make the play there. So, he'll take those one pitch outs for sure. >> The catcher Mikey Johansson will dig in. He's 0 for one with a strike out and he'll take a pitch a little inside for strike one. He didn't seem very happy with that one. >> Yeah, I wouldn't be either. >> Nothing in one. It's a fly ball in a deep left center field. McCoy on his horse. He's not going to get there. And one hops in front of the fence. And a good job by McCoy to get it in quickly, but a one out double for Mikey Johansson. And Whan has another runner in scoring position here. >> All right. >> Yeah, I was just about to try to get you some feedback.
>> Jumped on the first pitch there. Cloggers with some really good hitting here. Now, Coach Mess has to talk to the umpire for some reason. >> And Cooper Groork is gonna pinch in here. Big Coupe coming up to the dish as we'll get a meeting on the mound here from Wayland. It's a big at bat for Cooper Groork. He's only had one at bat on the season. A hit could uh get some insurance here for Ashlan. >> So Groorg will bat in this spot. Boston Turncliffe after a single from Merlstein and a single from Clark. >> Big spot for Groork against McFarland. Cooper verse Cooper. Swing and a miss. >> Cooper Gork looking to swing for the fences there. First pitch. >> Here's the 01. That's upstairs. Ball to strike. >> Big AV right here. >> Cooper McFarland vers Cooper Groork. One ball, one strike.
Hopefully the right side of the infield is going to be ready here as Lamont steps to the plate. Little little change of pace there. Off-speed off-speed pitch early. Uh trying to see if she can get Lamont fooled. Just misses a little bit high. Uh Domestico falls 1-0 to the lead-off hitter. Comes back really nice there with a good fastball right by her looking 1-1 to Valerie Lamont. Efficiency by Bella. >> [laughter] >> Bella toes, throws. Hot ground ball past the dive of Haley Butermann into center field. Eustace gets it in in a hurry. That's going to be um the first hit of the day for the Titans. Good shot just past the dive of Haley Butermann who is never one who's afraid to get dirty. Uh Haley Haley is a dirt dog over there at second base, but she just couldn't reach that one. Well, a good strong hit by Lamont.
So, >> what she's doing good. What she what what I need hered to do is like when she goes out >> you'll notice let's let's watch a little bit when she goes out to the field as soon as they make the catch or whatever she starts darting back. >> Okay. >> And it's like Lucas will dig in >> on that player cuz I'll cut like I I hate to like I don't like it when she's in other words they catch it and immediately she starts paying back left like way too fast. So like just if you follow action she's doing good in the infield but if they catch or something she's out there just just stay on that player. Yeah. and don't worry about it and follow them and gently start to go back. But I'd rather have him just wait, let the player throw it back in, and then I'll cut to here and then you can move back.
Here comes ground ball, third base. Nice play there. And the throw is in time. Wrestler gets it over and the inning is over. Two to one Ashlan after four. I regret TV. My birthday. top of the fifth inning as Chris Bratica will come back to the mound. Four innings, one run, four strikeouts on 53 pitches. >> First pitch is just outside. First baseman Owen Harrington will lead it off. 7, eight, and nine do up here for the Warriors. Here's the one out. It's a strike. >> That kind of looked like the exact same pitch he just threw the first pitch, but >> inconsistent. One and one line drive just foul. Diving effort by Laro. See somersaults into foul territory. And a ball and two strikes here to Harrington. >> One, two. That one outside. Two and two. >> Two balls and two strikes from Bradica.
One one for two on the day now. Which brings up Dunleavy. Looked like a good pitch to me. I don't know where that one missed. That was right at the knees, but she called it a ball nonetheless. Um yeah, Dunleavy popped out to Butermann in the first. She comes in 0-1 0-1 and she is up 1-0 right now on Domestico who toes and throws. That one sneaks by Ava. That's going to go down as a pass ball for Ava. We have not seen many of those. I wonder if she got crossed up a little bit. Regardless, the runner is going to go And Dunleavy now is ahead of the count 2-0 with the runner in scoring position. Yeah, again need to settle down here. Got the first two outs pretty quickly and now suddenly a runner in scoring position and a line drive single to center.
You know what it makes? >> That's just That's all it is. >> That's just a very minor thing, but >> stay on the action there and then go back slow after the play's completely done. >> That's in the dirt. He gets away. The runner will take off and head to third. >> Bradica is not necessarily struggling with the command here, but seems like it in this at bat. So, >> and they'll send the infield in here. >> It's a two- count to Lucas Culie. You're >> 200 swing and a miss. Foul tip that one. Two and one for Bradica at strike two. >> Big spot for a strike out here. >> 2-2 popped up behind the infield. Shriber goes out and he makes the catch. A great job by Shriber to get out there from shortstop. That's out number two. That's a big out there.
That's high. A full count here to the leadoff man. >> 3-2. >> Just missed. Chris thinks it's a strike >> and the all the Ashland bench believes that was strike three as well as do I think that was a strike there. >> Yeah, me too. That the umpire is kind of inconsistent, but >> Harrington will take it. He's on base. They're going to show bunt and he is Oh, he is safe. That was close. Bradica almost had his first pickoff of the game. >> Nico Dannian leads off or sorry, not leads off. He walked his first time up. >> Another pickoff. Harrington's back in safely. Good. Third straight pickoff attempt of Harrington at first. >> Bradica again keeping the runners right where they need to be. >> Dannian still waiting for his first pitch and he'll take time. First pitch, swing and a miss. He was late on a fast ball there.
>> Eustace's arm here. Butermann, no. >> [cheering] >> Not able to hit the cut-off. Um little lack of execution there in that play, but a nice hit nonetheless. Would have taken probably a perfect throw to get her at the plate. Uh Dunleavy in with an RBI single. And that is going to tie the game at one. She does move over to second on the throw. Not calling that an error by anybody, but uh I don't know what the official scorebook is going to say. So Julia Davie up now, swings at the first pitch down 0-1. Got a tie game here, Mike. 1-1. Yeah, 1-1 now in the top of the third. Julia Davie struck out her first time up. Let's see if Bella can repeat that to get out of this inning. She hits a hot ground ball to second. Taylor Croch, again we're not hitting cut-offs for some reason here.
>> Brada is now going to look to take advantage of that. Good out right there. >> Pitcher McFarland will dig in. He's 0 for one. >> First pitch is a strike. >> Nasty breaking ball by Chris there. >> And ahead in the count here. >> One-1. That's strike two. >> Sorry, it's now 0 and two. chance to get out of this inning. Scoreless believe a runner 90 ft away. >> Nothing at two. Pop out and it'll head out of play. >> Count zone two. Still nothing in two here. >> Here comes swing and a miss. Foul tipped into the mitt and Bradica gets out of the inning. Leaves a runner at third. Middle of the fourth. Two to1 Ashland. Alex. chance to get out of this inning. >> Scoreless. >> No, you're good. I was just I didn't I didn't know if you were like [laughter] >> We can hear everything.
>> Ratica continuing to demand with his fast ball. >> Here comes the 01 and it won't happen. A fourth pickoff attempt from Baratica. How many pickoffs do you think Brada has had this game? >> Too many to count. Need more than my two hands. >> 01 is chopped to short. Shriber charges. He'll look to first. He'll throw and the runner is safe. >> An infield single for Dannian and he's on base for the second time. Still a great job by Michael Shriber though. >> Just didn't get in in time. >> So the first two get on against Bradica here and Noah Horn the DH will dig in. 0 for one so far. Bradica needs some quick outs here as he'll step off. He will step off again. >> Horn still waiting for his first pitch. Here it comes. He'll lay down a bunt. It's a good one.
Um fundamental softball, I'm not seeing it right now by the Clockers. They're not hitting cut-offs. And that that's potentially um could cost them. Right now luckily, uh Davie stayed at first base. Uh but the RBI does come in and the Titans take the lead in the top of the third 2-1. I think one of the reasons the runner stayed at first Vendetti smartly came out to cut off that throw preventing the runner from advancing. But yeah, I mean Mike it was I mean Clockers are putting on a defensive clinic pitching defensive clinic through the first two and two thirds. Everything happening now is coming with two strike with two outs. Yeah, this has been a two-out rally by the top of the order um for Algonquin. They've seen it as a Now this is their second time battling against Domestico. Um hoping to get Emily Reese here who she got to pop out on that fantastic little bloop foul ball that Vendetti dove for uh in the second inning.
We can hear the broadcast going. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, you're good. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. >> All right. >> Don't say no. I'm not Alex, though. >> You know my name. >> Yo, Jojo. He's Jojo now. >> Bottom of the fourth inning. blue back out to the mound and he'll face Jake to lead it off. >> Five, six, and seven of the Ashland lineup. >> Bottom of the fourth inning. And the first pitch to Jake Lame is down. >> May lined out to right his first time up >> and McFarland's on for his fourth inning of work here. Here's the 10 ground ball to shortstop. >> Fay makes the play and a throw is in time. A nice sharp throw to first and Lame is out number one. [snorts] Ian Mccoin will bat with one away. 0 for one and he'll take a strike.
Laro will scoop it. He'll toss it to first and he's safe. >> The coaching staff of Ashland can't believe it. >> Ano, I'm sorry, Noah Horn reaches. Laro just kind of tossed that one straight up in the air there and it was a bit high for Clark and he stepped off the base. >> Yeah, Ali Laro. I I think he should have just thrown it regularly. Got the batter out but decides to kind of rainbow it to first base. >> So now the top of the lineup with the bases loaded. >> Jack Hartinen He's 0 for two. >> The tying run 90 ft away. Go ahead run at second. Nowhere to put him. >> Needs some good at bats here. >> First pitch. >> That's upstairs. One ball, no strikes. Here comes. He went around. Tried to hold back his swing on pitch in the dirt and it's one and one.
Domestico starts with an off-speed pitch. After you Go ahead. No, go ahead. Vendetti thought about a snap throw to first to see if it catch that runner breaking a little too far off the base. And she did. And I was going to say that Bella has come back after after a little meeting at the mound to settle everybody down here. Uh She misses low. But I think there's no problem here for these Clockers. They They haven't been tested really this year. They've been ahead the majority of their games. I'll be nice to see how they react to being down in the third inning. It's not something that they're used to this year. How they respond to adversity. Correct. And it's a little pop-up right back to Bella. No big deal. No harm done there with the runner on first base. Unfortunately, two runs do come across.
>> That That was a nasty breaking ball by McFarland. >> Nothing and one here. >> Just missed. Ball on a strike. >> Was a close one. >> Yep. Another close call by the umpire. >> 1-1. It's a sharp grounder. Oh, what a play by And he gets up and throws it to first. A sharp ground ball there. >> That was a very nice play by And >> another quick two outs for McFarland. He seems to be cruising since that first inning. >> Looking for his third straight scoreless. >> Sets the plate. 0 for one >> and they don't take a ball. >> Here's the one out. That's strike. Another breaking ball for McFarland. The count's even at one. 1-1. >> That's upstairs. >> Two balls in a strike to Mermlstein. >> 2-1. Well, that's a shot into right center field. That is down for a base hit.
One ball, one strike. >> Strike two. Good fast ball. >> Bradica again with the command just pounding the zone. >> Ahead. One and two. >> Here comes. That's a shot into right. Turn. Cliff goes back. He makes the catch. Runner will tag and score. The runner from second gets to third. And a sack fly ties the game at two. >> Well, might have been the best case scenario in terms of a ball put in play. >> You get an out. put pitch runner here for for Horn. They'll take out Horn and they'll bring in the pinch runner. Pivots. >> Do you think that's true? >> Owen Kawahada is the pinch runner. >> So he'll take out Horn. >> On the corners, one out. And that's ball one. >> George Breler at the plate. He's one for two. Bradica looking to keep the game tied. That's a ground ball.
Um two runs off of three hits. Three hard Three hard hit balls. Uh one runner is left on base. No errors by the Clockers. But they are now losing 2-1 after two and a half. Yep, bottom of the third coming up. Clockers with a chance to get back into this one. At least tie it up, try and take the lead. Got What do we have? Hitters 3-4-5 coming up for the Clockers. >> We do. We have 3-4-5 coming up. I expect that the Clockers can get a little something going on here. Vendetti does have a tendency to put herself on second base. She leads the team in doubles. She comes in with seven doubles on the season. And then with Kyra behind her, hopefully she can get a little contact, knock her in, and then again Haley Butermann behind. Let's see if we can get something moving here in the bottom of the third.
