Nice assist on that second goal and fires one right over the shoulder of the defender and nice and low. And taken to the right on the goalie. >> Taken it to him in definitely in good fashion right there. Um You got to say number 17 on Bellingham had good defense on him, too, on Hartnett, but just couldn't stop him from shooting. >> Yeah. >> So, it kind of became a bit of a screen for the goalie, unfortunately. >> Absolutely. And what a great um shot off that. >> Oh, and here we go. This is a Seagull. Pass to Fowler over to Olson. Olson Olson! It's a goal. Some great passing from the Raiders there. >> Yeah. >> And what was that? Was that a quick shot, if you will, from Olson? >> Yeah, it was. >> Quick shooting Bob. >> [laughter] >> Get that nice goal right there.
Get herself 8 meter attempt. >> Mac goes in, switches left hand. Matt Whitmer gets Spartans up on the board after five and a half minutes. Whitmer scores her first goal. >> The Blue Devils lead three to one. Northampton fans. A little sorry about this. I just went off of Arbiter. So if I don't have your name, you can blame the coach because or your athletic director because that's what I went off of. So sorry if I messed up any of your kids highlight reels. But >> hey, Matt Whit once again, another draw. It's uh four out of five draws for Whitworth looking to set up the Esau Meadow offense with the ball. turns around, gets the ball over turns around, switches left hand, and will get herself attempt 8 meter attempt. >> Runs it in. She goes up down. She gets the ball knocked free.
So now the state uh was short 425,081. So after uh meeting and having discussions with them uh they said that we were going to have to wait until the next skills capital grant in order to get the money that is owed to us. This the skills capital grant that just got uh finalized. Um, we should be getting those funds from that skills capital grant. I spoke to uh the state last week. Um, and they're working on uh getting us the final payment to us, the 425. But because we have to close the books on 224, we have to move money from um the skills capital grant uh to uh capital in order to cover that funding. So, um just giving you uh we need a vote on that to do that to move the money from capital uh skills capital to the capital to our uh capital improvement uh line item which will be reimbursed uh hopefully we we expect to get it very soon.
I think that the parents of students with special needs would be the ones who would most want to be doing the work. Some people here believe it's not the job of the board to write policy. I wholeheartedly disagree. So, if you don't want to do it, let those of us who do, the parents who live this day in and day out, write it. Some of us even have a lot of experience and success writing policy on a municipal and state level. A SEAC, in my opinion, is nothing more than a way to placate parents. It creates an environment without continuity. The membership will turn over as parents speak and nothing happens. Why do I see this as the case? A SEAC, as outlined by SPARK, suggests a once a year report. Thanks, bye, nothing happens. A subcommittee would have their monthly minutes on the main board agenda and would have the spotlight on special education at every meeting.

Mrs. Kozlowski, please come forward to be recognized for your outstanding service. >> [applause] [applause] >> Okay. Um Mr. Nelke, three saints. Thank you, and good evening, everyone. It is my pleasure to stand here to present GPPA 1's teacher and power prep power professional of the year. I will begin with our power of the year, Ms. Genesis Ferrara de Santana. Power professionals are the heart of early childhood education. This year's recipient is someone who enters our building with the biggest and brightest smile, and at the end of the day, no matter what may have transpired, leaves with the same smile on her face.
That is exactly why this district should keep flexible options available, but use them in the right way for the right students instead of treating a one format as the answer for everyone when people clearly are different and have so many attitudes of possible issues that may arise. Even when it comes to credit schedules and balancing home life. I would like to see a return of these classes brought and I will continue to put pressure on the district to make sure that every student has a chance of promising education and high school experience. Possibly a reworking how these classes operate could be implemented such as a more in-person sections of the core classes and more work given or perhaps a weekly timer to help motivate students to genuinely work through and understand the materials or a weekly goal of how much time a student should spend.
A co-worker stated, "Pathways is truly fortunate to have such a high-performing, empathetic, and compassionate social worker on our team." Congratulations, Dan. Mary Soto Mary teaches her students through the creation and implementation of meaningful activities and learning opportunities both in her independent living skills lab and in the greater community. And may I have a motion to approve the committee representation appointments as presented? I make but second a second Stacy >> time doesn't matter >> discussion I would um I do want to first of all request um your consideration to be added on as the second representative. And for the technology um committee, I think that technology has really taken um a bigger role in the education of our of our students. >> I would like to be a representative alongside Miss Alland if >> Okay. You you want to add D >> me? >> I'm asking for your consideration on that. >> Okay. And then um I wanted to just make a I don't know if it's a point of order, but the uh ethics commission representative is um the chair the board president is the chairperson of that committee. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. So that goes Okay.
And then it Did I say NJHS vice president? Okay. And so a super well-rounded kid. And Miss Stout had to say Samantha that you have demonstrated your love for learning throughout the year across content areas with your outstanding work ethic, time management, critical thinking, and engagement. Samantha does all this while showing exceptional leadership skills and continuing to demonstrate her value for accountability, respect, and kindness to all. Miss Stout. >> [applause] >> Okay. Okay, thank you guys. Families, appreciate you being here. Board members, do you have any comments for our outstanding students? Uh well, congratulations to the three of you. We grow smart kids everywhere, but to hear what is happening at North is really special. Um and what I find is that students that we recognize in elementary, we tend to see in middle school. And those that we've recognized for high achievement in middle school, we tend to see in high school because you have established a pattern of responsibility, caring about your academics and all of your extracurricular activities, and you'll just continue to do that.
And over time, that compounds to just outstanding performance. So, congratulations to you guys and uh thank you for this opportunity to share their achievements. Thank you. Thanks for congratulations. Our next celebration is of our top 10 students and this will be uh the first year that in addition to our top 10 students from Columbus North High School and our top 10 students from Columbus East High School um that our Columbus Signature Academy is its own high school number for the first time this year and they have been identified two students. That school has about 80 85 students in their senior class. So they identified their two top students to come and be honored tonight as well. So we'll start Mr. Geel if you wouldn't mind coming up and introducing your top students from CSA New Techch High School. Good evening and thank you. Uh not going to spend a lot of time talking because I want them to talk, but uh each day our announcements end with a simple charge to represent yourself, your family, and your school with pride.
So, I know a couple things will be uh shuttle transportation, uh and then utilities will be a huge one um because even though we have to maintain that, Kim hit on the fact that we won't be using near the water, the electricity. Um you know, we do have to maintain a a certain semblance of that stuff, but not all of that stuff. We'll have some saving We'll have We'll have operational savings in things like, you know, currently we we pay for copy machines and things like that that are there that we won't we won't be paying for. And we do pay for those. Kim, I don't know if those are the big ones or there are others. Just really, you know, utility savings to the best um estimation that I can make, um savings in efficiencies, having everyone on one campus, all items located in one place, not driving things back and forth between campuses, um budget line item reductions.
Like, how tight >> So, we would, uh, Doc Wiley and I have already talked about we'd probably have like a freeze on anything that's not necessary. So, a freeze on all, you know, we we're not going to replace furniture unless, you know, we absolutely something's broken and we have to have a chair here or something. Um, so just anything that would be unnecessary spending, we would put a freeze on on all of that. Other questions for Kim? Okay. I I do want to just talk briefly about this process again. You know, we had a we had a public meeting. It was fairly controlled and we had ideas about how we would gather that information, uh, and and we had that and we did get some really good information, some good questions, and and some feedback on that. Uh, tonight I I I felt like what I heard, one of the things we heard at that meeting was transparency and the ability to to have some public input.

He's always advocating for his peers and even if it's good or bad outcome, Braylon we know is always going to tell us the truth and we're very proud of that about him. So, we have Braylon Shepherd. Is that all? All right. We'll move on to public comments. It doesn't look like I have anyone on the list for public comments. All right, moving on to the approval of the consent agenda, which consists of meeting minutes, the executive session March 11th, 2026, regular board meeting minutes of March 16th, 2026, allowance of claims, financial report, and personnel reports part one and two. Mrs. Roman. Hello. >> 3 hours and and also the time taxes So, the only way to do that >> [clears throat] >> is to I'm now on F5 and I'm finding this topic and the second river is I'm 27. I'm 27. And then The next thing we're going after all There's a lot less on this of March 2026.
Um these are these come from the state nursery to begin with and part of the agreement when you purchase from the state is that uh you can't resell them. Um our goal is to provide uh in partnership with the city uh for city parks, city properties, um and as part of that um it's my understanding that the city can work with a homeowner in a right-of-way. Um like on a I had talked to one citizen out at the uh Arbor Day celebration and he's like, I've been trying to get the city to plant our some trees in our in our right-of-way. Uh so, he's working with the city now. And I said, well, well, 5 years from now we might be able to help you out, but can't really do anything right now. So, um I know that there have been a couple questions uh across Facebook primarily about when can we buy trees?
Our secondary schools will honor our wrestlers, our swimmers, our divers, our basketball players, and yes, our cornhole and bowling student winners. A huge thank you to our students for their hard work and dedication, to our coaches for teaching and leading our students, and to our wonderful parents for all that you do to support and encourage our students. We will begin with Belzer Middle School, Mrs. Kendra Randall, followed by Fall Creek Valley, principal Mr. Corey McGarrell, Lawrence Central principal Mr. Franklin Bush, and then followed by that, Mr. Jason Floyd, principal of Lawrence North High School. So, Ms. Randall, come on up. Good evening, everyone. Super excited to highlight two of our awesome and amazing winter sport uh students. So, I will bring up our athletic director, Dr. Batt, so that he can present our wonderful students. See you all this evening. >> [applause] >> Our wrestling head coach, uh Antonio Jefferson, MIC champion, and Jay Hypes, undefeated season MIC champion.
So only one other player on Ashlin Clackers that have over 100 points, that's Lily Vidy with 178 points, 140 goals scored, and uh 38 assists. So that's what Maggie's trying to get individually, but we're just trying to get a win over there. But uh great job by Maggie. Won the faceoff to call something happened against uh Payton Trimp. Nice pass to Payton. Over to um number seven, Julia Frius. Nice freshman. One of our many freshman on the team over here. >> Slight turnover or turnover from Ashlin. So Westwood with the ball. Again, Westwood pretty powerful offensive team over here. They actually broke 20 goals earlier this year. >> Ashlin and Westwood. This is the first of two games. They actually finished the regular season, last game of the season in May. So, uh we'll be at Westwood. >> All right. It's number three by Alana.
>> It's a 7:56 now left in the first quarter. It's 4 to nothing already, so >> Bellingham has their work cut out for them. >> Do they ever. >> Raiders just keep their offensive pressure going right now. These wins on the face-off are uh going to start adding up against Bellingham real fast if this is the way it goes. >> Yep. And if there's a 12-goal lead in the fourth, it's going to be running time. >> Good win right there for Bellingham, though. Ah, and a giveaway slash a good read by Weisman. >> Yeah, Weisman still hacking away. Number 16 doing a good job somehow. Oh my goodness, Weisman absolutely planted him into the ground. That was uh quite the hit as 16 who is um not on our roster. Oh, he's walking gingerly, too, which is never great to see. Whiteman's going to think get the penalty for that one.
Techn gets a head shot >> and she got herself another eight meter attempt. >> Knees hash marks. Kney goes in, gets the ball knocked away again. Good job by Northampton to knock the ball away from they come up with the ball. ball training line by Kylie Marino. >> Kylie Marino gets a call against her. Hampton with the ball. Gets the ball over to Green. Green this time met by Kyler Marino. Switch that up around the cage. Spartans playing manto man. Dinkz over to Green. Good job by Avery Moralo to have a yard sale. Avery Moro knocks the stick out of her hand. Kylie Marino comes up with the ball. Kyler Marino blazing down, leaving four Blue Devils in the dust. Kyler Marino still having the legs going in and out, turns around, takes a shot off the post. Good job by Jane Pelter to quickly get over there to back that up.
We had thought we were going to get it a lot sooner than this, but after several calls back and forth with the state, um, finally the last week, I finally they uh assured me that we'd be getting it soon. >> Would you put your mic on, please? >> What What were you talking about? The $4 million But we had >> two years ago we got a a grant for $4 million, a skills capital grant for 4 million to build the aviation hanger >> and also to buy some equipment for aviation. >> Right. The last uh payment on the hanger was for that we had to pay to the contractor uh was it approximately well was that in some uh equipment was 425,8137 you can't build a state until uh we've paid the until we've paid that once we pay it then we can ask for reimbursement.
