>> Yeah. The state law trumps the local bylaws in some cases. >> So basically the hands and the only term I know how to say it is the boards are tied to the state law. their hands are tied by the state law and using the bylaw. The state can sue Trump over them. >> No answer. >> I I'm I'm not quite sure what you were restating. I'm just restate I'm just re saying that this >> the state law should be more compromised with the bylaw of this town each town instead of saying they're they're they're doing state housing bylaws and not opening it up and being compromised and having the state law bylaws work together and doesn't seem like they are working together. Well, you know, it's hard to solve big problems, you know, um they they don't always work together, you know, um to try to solve problems across the state.
>> One, two. That one's popped up out of play. Pass third. >> We'll do it again. >> Today's weather's actually not as cold as I thought it was going to be during the whole day. Like a really raw day, but actually it's, you know, it's not >> too bad. Like a mid-50s, maybe. >> It's been the most pleasant game that I've done. It's always been windy or rainy or cold. >> That one gets away from Guall, but he'll keep it close enough. Other ball spiked there from Bradica and it's two and two. >> Great job by by Guo keeping that ball in front of him and keeping his eye on it. >> Excellent play and he he saved a run right there for the team. Yeah, and the pair of duo the duo of freshman catchers have both played very well behind the plate as that one's grounded past the mound.
And that one's grounded into left field, a base hit. So Price will hold at second and a base hit for Ferraro. back-to-back singles after a quick first out. >> Yeah, Price was going. He would have had that base. I think he he got a great jump there. >> Um, good timing on didn't really have to jump because he he would have been to second base anyway, but now we end up with uh runners on first and second with one out for Adam Caldwell, >> batting 324. He's already scored 12 runs this season. He's been one of the best hitters other than Price in this lineup. and he puts one into left field for a base hit. Gets the windmill. He's on his way to the plate. The throw is cut off and he is in there. >> He's in there. >> An RBI single for Adam Caldwell.
And we had a wonderful conversation where we were able to talk about what are the strengths of Isham uh school district, and what are some of the challenges that we're facing. Then we moved into meeting two, a month later in October. We want to give the process a few weeks to breathe, to be able to work on the information. After meeting one, there was a report that went out, was posted online. And then we had a discussion over some visioning and looking ahead of here's where we are now, um where do we want to be come 2031, and how do we get there? Meeting number three, we had a deeper discussion surrounding around some big area goals and writing out some objectives. And then after we were done that meeting, that information, that's kind of where the the board and the public, if you will, that's where their job ended, and that information was handed over to Dr.
Spotlighting our fantastic music programs at VJA, our winter percussion took home silver at the WGI Percussion World Championship on April 18th. This prestigious award is a testament to the year-long work of the entire ensemble, and they cannot wait to return to the football field during the upcoming marching season. Future Teolts from 8th grade were on campus last week for a fun and energetic co-curricular night. They had the opportunity to learn from current students about the value of extracurricular involvement, including detailed information on club activities, sports teams, meeting schedules, and upcoming tryyout dates. On the evening of April 15th, the annual Golden Bolts Awards night took place and was hosted by Andrew Andrews senior leaders recognizing community members, students, and staff. The celebration united our Tele community with its most helpful and inspirational supporters. From families who selflessly support our school to teles who represent the very best of the student body, the night successfully commemorated the golden bull honores.
Any opposed? uh financial reports, claims, and payroll number 19. All right, payroll number 19 uh is back to normal after we paid some coaches and some of those other ECA uh stipens last payroll. So, it's more in line with what you're used to seeing. And then claims again uh there I don't know three or four different expenses related to our Southwood project uh come out of that uh bond that we did. So everything else pretty well normal questions. >> What's that intersect for the Chromebooks? like 25. >> Yeah. Well, it's there's like $9,000 and I just Yeah. 25 Chromebooks. So, we did we buy more or did we what? Do you know what that is? I think those are licenses for those. I think I'm not pos from time to time. we've had to buy Chromebooks for um the students that maybe don't have a device that use our bridge program.
Um yeah, ideally, yeah, they they work closely together. Um, so there there are things that are hard obviously like the 40B. Those are those are hard for us to um to to work with and other things other laws that are passed by the state such as the ADU bylaw. I think we were all very happy about like to to implement that and we had planned to do that anyway. So it wasn't very hard. So um they're not all egregious, you know. So, >> and we got the one example in this town that's still going on that is not in the planning board's um circle of opinions that's at the conservation. That's the 20 that's the 40 60 mil bill. And so that's what I'm trying to see if if it can be worked together and not have the same giant step over everything in the town and and work and work together.
Clark will get it and the throw is in time. >> Just in time. >> What a stretch by Laro and that saves a fifth run from scoring. Good job from Clark. I love watching I remember Ollie Laro uh on first base stretching out like that when he was in just single a ball. He was stretching out and doing split. So if anybody's going to get his arm out there, his glove out there to get that ball, it's Oie. And and what a time, you know, thankfully all that practice uh paid off on that one play to get the out. It was very close. Seems like um >> Norin uses a a pitch comp. I know we talked about this a few games ago, but this one this one I'm 90% sure he's got >> something coming out of the ear and attached to a pack on the back.
His sixth RBI this season and a quick start for Norton. They lead one- nothing. >> Yeah. Now, I guess the cut up was the right way to go. I think uh was a straight throw to the plate. He may have, you know, I think uh Lame has a pretty good arm, but you know, you think we could call for the cut off and he hit the cut off and it was a very quick turnaround. Um but I think just the time it took was impossible to get the runner out. That's a strike to the lefty Logan Irish batting 143. He's 5 for 35. He's been one of their better pitchers on the mound, but he's yet to find it at the plate. Again, Norton's a team batting 250 as a team. Solid number, but only a total of seven extra base hits. So, we're seeing early on them just pepper the outfield as that one's over the head of Connory and into left.
Smith and his team to be able to work on the how. I kind of call it like the battle plan. How is this going to be carried out day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month, year-to-year over the next 3 to 5 years. One of the things that we put in there, I would hope you have seen this before. If not, we put this in all of our presentations and I am going to read it, but I'm going to move fast. You know, this is the kind of the guiding beacon of of Evesham every day when we the the students and staff show up, here is the mission of what we're hoping to have happen. To promote excellence in an environment that engages students in meaningful learning experiences. In partnership with students, staff, families, community, the district provides a strong educational foundation that will empower our students to achieve their unique potential, embrace self-directed lifelong learning, develop the skills necessary for appropriate risk-taking and responsible decision-making, to respect themselves and others, to problem-solve individually and collaboratively, and to become contributing members of a diverse global society.
Recognizing the class of 2026 academics, the annual senior academic recognition night celebrated the top achievers for this year's senior class. To continue the celebration, prom 2026 took place on April 24th at Harry K's Water Tower Place in downtown Chicago, where students enjoyed an unforgettable evening with friends against the city skyline. Overall, Andrew has had an exciting and accomplished school year with April bringing many opportunities to celebrate our T-Bolt family. As the class of 2026 prepares for their final days in our halls and future freshmen prepare to begin their own T-Bolt journey, we are proud to continue the spark and leave our mark. I would also like to say I'm very grateful this year to be able to represent Andrew and its student body. So, thank you. Thank you. Good evening. Spring means the start of exciting events and ends with being nostalgic and sentimental for all students, especially for Samberg seniors.
And so the Chromebooks are a little bit of a cheaper device than what we would offer our traditional students and so sometimes we have to replace those. >> Yeah. So the the description is 25 Chromebooks with Google Chrome license. So I assume that's what they purchased was this.
The state doesn't want to do that and develop is going to go with the state. It seems like a two against one to get things done in the correct phrases. Thank you. >> Thanks, Mark. All right. I assume there's no other comments online. Um so seeing none, we will go on to public meetings. Uh first on our agenda is um well one item under that agenda um heading is 37 James Road as an ANR. Um >> yes. Is that you, George going to So, there was a first a first ANR on this property that we looked at a few weeks ago, whatever that was, right? >> Yes, it is. [cough] All right. So, we have a uh two parcels of land that Mr. uh Wheeler has uh interest in. One of them you saw last week as a small lot out on uh 137 Pawn Street.
>> It is a wire coming out of the ear and a pack on the back. So that is >> It has to be right. >> Yeah, we I remember. Yeah, you did think that one of the catches have the previous game, but then we determined that maybe not and it really wasn't. But this one is >> this one this one is >> see what kind of a difference it makes here. >> Yeah, it's it's interesting for the you know obviously you can't >> like look at signs if you're on second base. It prevents that from happening >> a lot of times teams can you know relay signs from the catcher if you know it's a fast ball or off speed coming. It's hard to do that when you've got some earpiece in. >> Right. So, the clockers will have four, five, and six in the lineup.
>> Just over the head. I mean, the runners held up cuz they thought Connory may have a beat on it if he he was able to jump 3 ft in the air. I think he would have got the ball, but >> it did go over. And now it looks like coach Mesh is going to go out and have a little talk with uh with Chris. >> Five batters and four singles. The only out they have was a pretty hard hit line drive into left. So, it's been a bit of a slow start for Bradica. Not really finding it. >> No, no, it was I mean that that last hit was was maybe a foot away from being a line drive out to third base. the other the other it was a a couple of hits just went through the middle of the third baseman and the shorts stop um could could have been to one of them and you know ground ball would have been out but just you know the ball's ball's not falling favorably for Ashlin right now >> bases loaded with one out here to start the first inning first pitch is a strike >> whatever coach me said seemed to work >> at least for that pitch >> Caleb Luzon on at the plate.
Because that was a great mission statement. And so, as we were working on a strategic plan, we wanted to make sure that we captured the essence of that mission statement as well. Um I know you can't read that. All of this information, just so you're aware, this whole presentation will be posted online. Correct, Dr. Smith? This will be posted online, so you'll be able to in detail go online and read all of this, even the fine print. All as I was doing right there was giving you some snapshots and that was just a little piece of the information Dr. Smith provided. Much more information to that at that meeting. Um and he'll be getting into that a little bit a little bit on, but those were some of the highlights for the people that came to meeting one to have an understanding of the things that had been happening before we dug into the strengths and challenges.
To start off, prom was held at the shut aquarium and was a great success. There were so many students who attended and they all had a blast. Furthermore, the teacher of the month was Mr. Joy. Student council members surprised him to show their gratitude. Also, the coach of the month was coach fear. Superfans celebrated his dedication to the baseball program in which he makes sure that confidence is sustained for his team with his moto of who are you. The sponsor of the month was Miss Parker and super fans also celebrated her successful commitment to the scholastic bull team which recently earned a fourth place trophy at the IHSA state. Her students thrive under her meaningful and positive attitude. Moreover, Skills USA hosted a book drive in which NHS members can donate gently used books in exchange for hours and for an entry in the raffle to win gift cards.
>> Anybody else have any questions on claims or payroll? Motion second to approve that. >> I'll move to approve. >> Second. >> Got a motion, a second to approve claims of payroll number 19. All in favor say I.
It's at the bottom corner of that now being cut into two little pieces you can see there. And then the remainder of the land, a larger parcel about 15 acres that has access um from uh Pawn Street and also from James Road. And uh the first little piece that you looked at a couple weeks ago was the uh the plan an ANR of existing condition for that 137 and another one for 123 pond which uh basically froze zoning. This plan tonight with it showing five lots and some backland uh creates ANR lots and they are um as of right ANR lots because of the street frontage that exists there. You can see on James there's a house that um is empty but it is a house that was indeed occupied shortly. The um plan calls for five lots that will reinforce our financing with the bank um for acquisition uh and uh permitting of the remainder of the for the entirety of the property as we go forward.
They went one, two, three in the first. It'll be Merrmlstein, Lame, and Conry. Last time I was here, Mermlstein versus Whan came in as a pinch hitter and walked it off with a sack fly. >> Nice. >> First win at home for the Clockers this season. big one. >> Yeah, Mer Merm's a good power hitter. We got lefty, righty, righty, I think, going up here. So, you know, >> good job of coach mixing things up in the lineup as well. >> Yeah, Mer's a strong kid. He's a power hitter. He could uh anybody in the team could >> get a home run, which the clockers have not done yet this year. I mean, this this field is very tough to hit a home run on. It's a very long field, but even when they've, you know, traveled to other fields that are more reasonable, uh, they, you know, they they're one of the teams that don't have a home run on the season.
