So, um, so and the the street, which I the little, um, access way, which is kind of a paper street as you call it. Um, that would be because it's a non-conforming lot, that's fine, too. >> Right. So, you're just allowed to access the pass on to, >> right? Okay. All right. She had a question. I was wondering uh why lots three and four don't touch. Like why the why the space in between lots three and four? >> That's the access way to to get to parallel A, isn't it? >> Yeah. If if you if you look at that on uh the lot on my right, I think it's three, there is an easement that's being preserved in that so that in the future if a road were to go back into that back land, that lot would give up that land and have its frontage on the new road where now it has its frontage uh requisite frontage on Pawn street.
Got a lot of balls down low and in the dirty just kind of pitching up the same way. Here's a three 0. >> Tough strike there. And it's three and one. >> That was a good he has a great fast ball. >> He does. >> 3-1 to Laro. >> That's strike two. >> The same place as that last one. >> Yeah, he's hitting the outside uh edge there. >> Right down the middle on on the outside edge. That's outside. >> Yeah. Blowing away. >> First two batters were out on two pitches. Laro works a six pitch walk. And that'll bring up Bradica here. Second base runner for the clockers. The first real mark on the stat line for Price. His first walk. >> First walk. I think Chris struck out the first time. >> He did. He did. Chris >> gets a hit here to keep his 500 out >> as Lo >> will dive back into first.
>> Here's the first pitch. >> A good pitch. Strike one. >> Interesting. The coach called for a bunt this early in the game to get the runners in scoring position. You know, especially given how successful they were in the first inning. They didn't put the batters up. All these batteries have been getting hits. Why not let them hit? >> That's a strike. >> It's a little inside. >> Yeah, >> Caldwell definitely thought it was inside as well. >> I I thought he was going to hit him over that. It was It was so inside, but >> we'll take the strike. >> Nothing and two. Big spot here for Bradica. >> He would love a K. >> Popped straight up on the infield. >> Shriber will call off Clark and he makes the catch. had no chance of uh doubling up on or tacking up on that.
The third one was connected to to technology and not necessarily technology as it relates to curriculum, but just that whole idea of creating that safe, ethical, and age-appropriate learning environment where technology and AI, which is a something that's just so big in education right now in the world, um in order to authentically integrate to enhance and extend student learning. The fourth one, cuz it can't just be all about academics. Student achievement and success is based on the social emotional side as well. So, that idea of mental health. Um So, we looked at and we combined SEL as well as that experiential learning, meaning What are the opportunities that we can expand for kids related to both SEL and academic content? Promoting those experiential learning and fostering that collaboration among schools and community partnerships. And then the last one is specific to special education. So, creating appropriate inclusive learning opportunities and least restrictive programs for students with disabilities within their home school whenever feasible.
Nathan Forino, uh, Indiana University, finance and accounting. Katarina Panagopoulos is going to dance at Miami University. Her major will be biology on the premed and honors track with a minor in neuroscience. A minor Natalie Orbond who's going to be a repeat tonight. Natalie is going to college to run track and cross country at the University of Wisconsin Ashkosh and she's going to major in nursing. And last but not least, Ashton Zoff, University of Illinois engineering and declared at this time. Congratulations to our top 1% at Andrew High School. Next we have uh our HOSA state with me is Tene Dwick who you are going to see plenty of. Tulene's a junior. She placed fourth in dental science and she is a national qualifier. Congratulations to Tolene. Tulene is the as you know is our health sciences uh professional competition and we are super proud of Tulene as she travels to nationals coming up this summer.
Lisa has two masters, but IUK said she needs one more. It was a master's in secondary ed and a master's in library sciences or something. They wanted her to have a master's in. It's like are you kidding me? So we submitted it and they said well she does AP here takes and she she said she'd be willing to do that. So we'll get her. We just very fortunate.
So the strip plus that easement would constitute a 50-ft strip for a future road going into the back. Is the intention to to extend James Road down that 30 foot wide utility easement? >> Could we Is that the question? >> Yeah. Would Could you Would you Is that your thoughts or >> not our intention? >> Not your intention. Just wondering. >> Well, it's also 40 ft and your subdivision requires 50. And doing the zoning change to these five lots compared to the current thing would help you with your financing, right? Is it how because it looks like it's more valuable when it's has the ability to be five buildable lots. >> Yeah. >> Right. Okay. Just trying to understand the whole that I understood. >> Yeah. No, that I got I was just just confirming. Um, and I wasn't here a year and a half ago when you presented or when you unofficially presented the plan for the 200, you know, ish units or so.
>> He's the guy you >> know can get you going offensively. >> That's ball one. Price's pitch count. >> 32 pitches. >> Looks like he could go all seven here easily. >> Here's the one. That one's spiked, but a great stop behind the plate by the catcher Caldwell. He'll go to talk with uh Price here as he's thrown some balls in the last couple at bats. A smart move there by the catcher running out and the coach ran out too when he saw the the catcher run out just to have a talk with Price right now before things get away from him. Settle him down, get his head back in the game and he's playing a great game so far. So very smart uh coaching and play there by by both the catcher and the coach. Hey, >> Bradica ahead two and nothing. >> With Laro on first.
>> Good job from Bratica there. So, he gets out number two and we come back to that bunt there. A guy who was one for one with a single. >> You get that first out on the bunt and now you got two outs and you need a hit to bring home these runners. >> Yeah, >> Logan Irish is one for one. >> He's one for one as well. Single his first time. That one gets away. Here comes the run and it'll score. >> Yep. No, no throw. >> Reagan comes home. A great read. It barely got away there from Guo, but Norton will add on as Price gets down to third. 4 nothing Lancers. >> Irish at is actually the second uh >> best pitcher on the team in terms of erra. >> He gets to relax today. He doesn't have to pitch. just concentrate on being up at the plate.
So, just again, brief, won't go line by line, we promise. >> [laughter] >> Um so, this just kind of shows you and I'll talk through the first one and then kind of show you the rest. So, the goal area is at the top. So, again that broad goal area for us is student achievement and success. The first one we're talking about is those curriculum and instructional core programming. And then the objective, which I already read, it will not read to you again, I promise. So, if you look at this is just a couple parts of that action plan. But, the action plan kind of fleshes out if you look from left to right. So, what are the steps? Who are the staff that are responsible for that? What are the resources they're going to use? What are the timelines? What are indicators of success? And then as we move through these next 3 years, you could kind of keep track and mark that off as you continue to reflect and modify and change.
Congratulations. Next, we have some adults here at Andrew High School that I'm excited to recognize. Starting off with Mr. Tim Dalton, our assistant principal of activities. I'm honored to recognize Tim for the IDSA activity director award. Tim has been an administrator at Andrew High School for 24 years. He leads with equity, empathy, and always looking out for our students. They are the center of every decision that he makes at our school. He has become true face in our community. In his final year before retirement, Tim's impact is impossible to overstate. His legacy is reflected in the countless students whose experiences have been enriched by his dedication and his leadership. We are proud to recognize Mr. Dalton for his unwavering commitment to our Andrew students and his lasting influence on our positive school culture. Thank you, Mr. Dalton. I'm honored to recognize not a handshake, nothing.
So any questions about the dual credits and >> our AP testing numbers will be strong too. >> We'll still be very strong. So, just to speak to that a little bit, like the a the IU English, IU English we give to our seniors. Uh our juniors, our advanced juniors will take the AP English. And so, we try to blend it as much as we can. Um IU gets real picky. They don't want dual credit and AP at the same time, but sometimes we sneak that in. Um but we try to give kids the options as much as we can. So this should not reduce that APR is what I hear you asking. >> Yes, that's kind of what I was asking. I guess indirectly >> not the intent. It's always difficult. We let kids choose some of those courses and so some kids might choose one way, but we do our best to encourage them to do what's best all not just for the and Kevin like must have read my academic update because that's what's next.
>> Yeah. >> Thank you. Um, is that on lot one and two? Is that where that's going? >> It's onish. >> Well, >> so, so it does go into parcel A. That is not >> Yeah. >> Sorry. Yes. >> 216 units. >> Yep. >> It is. It was kind of a L shape or U-shaped >> over the playground in the center. >> Oh, okay. Thanks. I just wasn't here, so I didn't know what it looked like. building. >> So adding that property to the front that has the on Pond Street that allows for a bigger building to go there or just a little bit easier for traffic access type things. >> It expands the frontage and makes more attractive escape and uh andale and commercial opportunity. >> You mean that building wouldn't wasn't wasn't good for the look of the uh of the buildings behind it.
>> Here's the two. >> It's a ball. Close one. And it's three and out. >> So, just hit the bottom corner there. Just outside of it. >> Bryce looking to avoid backto-back walks here in the third. Here comes the three 0. >> Here's the strike. Bit inside there. >> Looked exactly like I I I I don't double guess umpires at all, but that that looked exactly like the previous pitch from here. >> Yeah, we have seen a bit of some inconsistencies in the strike zone, which happens. They're human as he checks swings and fouls that one to the dugout. And now the count is full. >> So Price looking to battle back here and avoid walking his second straight man. Hey, what it out? >> Ashland benches upris >> trying to get something going. >> Big pitch. >> Three balls and two strikes. >> And it's ball four.
They'll >> foul that one away. A ball and a strike. So, the pass balls have become a little bit of an issue. Lost yesterday's game on a pass ball. And a run comes in here with two outs. And >> you know, ball didn't get too far from Guo, but a great read from Reagan. Yeah. >> To come sprinting home. >> And they seem to be a very good base running team. >> As that's a strike. >> One ball, two strikes here to Irish. Two outs. Yeah, >> really need to get >> don't want to see anything base hits here turn into a run or a pass ball. >> One, two. That one's popped up out of play. Pass third. We'll do it again. >> Today's weather's actually not as cold as I thought it was going to be during the whole day. like a really raw day, but actually it's, you know, it's not too bad.
So, the two things I wanted to highlight as it relates to all curriculum areas is really how we start our process. So, that idea of developing a needs assessment surveys or we're looking at what's currently being done, identifying strengths and needs. From there looking at different research, administering that assessment, talking about best practice. So, that kind of starts your process to go all the way through to meet stakeholders, feedback, work in the summer, revising a units of instruction. So, kind of outlines that. The other thing I put on here just to kind of highlight because ELA is a little bit different. So, we do have in addition to what we did with all the revisions 3 or 2 years ago now. Um we also have an audit being done, which we've heard at our meetings a couple different times. So, we fleshed in there the idea of we're using that ELA audit is being done now.
What is that? I I think we just Thank you very much. Can Can you Can you put the radio away too for a second for crying out loud? Let's get to be professional yet. Yeah. Don't start now. Don't start now. Don't start now. All right. Let's go. Let's go. All right. Next up, Mr. Auggie Dooer. Student Activity Advisor Award. Five, eight. Mr. Dooer has been our speech coach for the last eight years, he was recognized with the student activity advisor award for his countless dedication to our speech program. You see, before Mr. Duer took over the speech program at Andrew High School, it was not notorious, nor did we have many students in the program. Through his leadership, the program has blossomed and grown in a highly competitive team at the state level. His commitment goes beyond the school day as he provides summer camp for our students and countless opportunities to define their skill, build their confidence, and create a passion for speech.
Uh, sometimes I tell you we're testing and I just thought you would like to see the list. All of those tests will be administered at some building or another over the next four weeks. So t the testing when you get the results for that is a that's a million dollar question because like the I learn biology we have found that if we give that early enough we can tell kids if you score whatever on this test we'll give it to you as a final exam grade right to give kids kind of reason to buy Yeah, >> but that's only if you get the grades back in time. So, we're hoping within two weeks >> that the way in within two weeks. >> Great idea. >> But like AP, you won't AP we won't get those first till July, but the I learn the one statements they're telling us two weeks and so that's what we're trying to and so far it's been that way.
Is that what you're saying? >> Nice structure. I mean, it it does have a nice structure. It's they they left it. But on its own, the original design was I think lovely, but >> I got you. I was just okay sarcastic. >> So it it does significantly increase our our front agent streetscape and retail appeal um uh which is part of the mixed use requirement. And so that's that's why we were interested in in the suggestion uh by a number of people that we interacted with that it would be [clears throat] advantageous to the design of it. >> Okay. I also wasn't here a year and a half ago, but I think I'm finally starting to understand. So this plot plan is basically for the bank to say it could be five pieces of property. >> Exactly. But your plan is not to ever make it five pieces necessarily >> prior to having the development approved and and so for the financial structure um to to simplify the financing and uh uh complete that process.
>> It is ball four. >> Ratica will walk. So after two pitches and two outs, the top of the lineup, first two batters walk. Michael Shriber will dig in. >> Back to the pitch com. I believe the the coach who went out to the mound there has some sort of earpiece on his left ear which might be able to >> he might be able to also communicate with the uh the pitcher and catcher and hear what is coming >> drivers for one >> first pitch sharp grounder into center a base hit gets the wave and he will score Laro comes across on an RBI single from Shriber didn't waste any time on the first pitch he sees. >> I'll have to check the tape on that, but that >> was a a weird line drive. It almost looked like Price was going to catch it.
