Um we have three classrooms that are special education preschool classrooms at Sacred Heart. Um, and so the expansion of Granville will allow us to bring all those classes over to have a preschool under one roof and then allow for some program development over time, which we continue to anticipate. Um, so there'll be a two-phase uh renovation of Granville. Uh, the church uh space is being gutted currently. The church is no longer there. They have vacated the property. Um and the house that was used to uh for the pastor is being uh leveled to uh have increased parking spaces. So in the first year they will add close to 40 additional parking spaces to the parking lot and it uh creates leveling. It's kind of up on a hill. It's a little bit of a project. Um and then the inside of the church will create three classroom spaces along with several other office spaces.
>> Okay. But in the meantime, let's keep an eye on it because I mean towards the end of the school is fine, but uh start of the school will be warm and you know it'll get cold and >> it's just let's keep a closer eye on that so so our children are comfortable. >> I happened to be at the site today and did a once over and checked out the air handlers on the roof as well. >> Maybe like a periodical go up to the roof and check the chiller and see whether it's still running any leaks. >> Sure. >> You know what to do. Yes, >> I try. new trusty. >> Thank you, Dan. >> Thank you. >> I also had a couple of questions as well. Um I'm happy that you added the um storage for the portables because I'm also curious about that about when the estimation of the shelving will arrive.
Caitlin Ann Cassidy >> [cheering] >> Thank you to my mom, dad, and brother Will. I'm thankful for Carolyn and my friends for always loving me and most of all Jesus for all he has done. I will be studying design media through the Belhaven Co-College through Southeastern University. >> [cheering] >> Carter Sharon Even though I was only at the Village for a year, you did a phenomenal job of making me feel welcome and was probably the sole reason I'm graduating even though I found almost every way not to. Thank you Jimmy for being there for me throughout the year. Claire Sinkada I would like to thank my parents, friends, and the Lord for getting me through high school. Thank you to my teachers at Village, especially my mentor Redinger for putting up with me. I will attend Western Michigan University to get my BFA in musical theater.
We added esports in 2020, which is for boys and girls. We have tried to expand what we could offer. We have gone from 1500 kids at the high school to,58. Something has to give. if we don't have enough kids. I've been told my entire career, run it like a business. Well, a business says if people aren't going out for the event or the area, then we have to make the cut. Now, if you guys >> Why are they not? >> Is it because they don't know about it? And and so I will be the first to tell you that I as a parent was volunteering at Coyote Days. And this is to my point is that these programs need more support and the staff needs more training and so they need to be >> help. Let's help each other and say, "Let's walk through it.
So the Gears framework, specifically Gears one and three. Um and again, we wanted to increase the high impact instructional practices throughout all of that. So next, I'm going to call up Miss Delgado, who is our math teacher at MVA.
There are some small pockets that we are addressing and working with teachers to correct. effective strategies. Our staff have done an amazing job teaching consequences and moving from a punitive system of the behavior is sanctioned with a punishment to using this as a teaching moment. And 100% of our teachers report that they are using consequences directly tied to the behavior and helping those students to form beneficial relationships and to move forward with positive behavior. Alrighty. All right. So, with the initiative of PLC's we started last year and have fully implemented this year, we have intentionally focused on supporting Nope. Go back. intent intentionally focused on supporting staff's well-being through PTO appreciation, fund staff challenges, and relationship building activities, collaborative PLC's, and ongoing support from our TBRI STEM and literacy coaches. These efforts are intended to help our staff feel more supported, connected, and equipped throughout our school year.
Does anybody have anything to add? Would you like to respond? >> [laughter] >> My >> [snorts] >> The work that we do, and I'm I'm glad you mentioned that in the last page is a reflection of the folks out here, right? It's the work that they do every day. We know. Um and and I and I I I I know you know. [laughter] Beautiful because that's exactly what what it should be about, right? Um the the work I'm fortunate. I'm blessed to have such a strong team that does the work, right? Um and we can sit here and I you know how I feel about publicly having any conversation about me. I I don't like it, but it's because of the folks here uh that do that great work that we can have this conversation and I can be recognized in that way and I'm thankful to all of you and I appreciate all of you.
Oh, I see. But that's fast. I'll get you back on this in a couple seconds. I just wanted to try it. All right. CUZ IT'S GOING to stay over there, so I'm going to stay over here. What's this timer say up on the scoreboard? Uh 4 minutes. Yeah, I'll get you back on after this play. Is this like the last Does this three There's four quarters. Oh, wait. So, this was my quarter.
Okay, Chuck. Hartnett with a real real tough goal right there. Tying it up. He just had He just like would broke fast, just brought it down, was having somebody just on his back and he just pushed him pushed him got position. Good stuff there by Charlie Hartnett. So, under 10 minutes to go now in the third quarter. Fives on each side. Seagull wins the draw here. Seagull gets it knocked loose. Picks it up. Can we reapply for that grant or is this like a one and done like?" >> Yeah. So, the good thing about um the grant itself, it's tied to each individual address. So, each so if we decided to do only four out of the the six locations, uh you can apply to those on its own and then if you do decide to go back, um you wouldn't have you would be able to start that application from scratch. >> Thank you. I guess my other question is kind of more for Jenny to look into that we don't technically own the school buildings. So we would probably need some city side stuff to go along with it. >> That's a good question about who actually gives final approval for these sorts of decisions. >> So I talked with our energy director Carol Collins about this today. Um you know we're definitely in favor of having more charges.

Um we'll bring uh some of our it'll be for psych and social work, speech and language and then we'll bring some of our tech team over there as well. Um so that will enable us to bring all of our special ed preschool from Sacred Heart over to Brandville. So that'll be the first time um that I can recall that preschool has ever been under one roof as a comprehensive school together. It also allows us to maximize our busing and transportation, all of our related services as right now many of them are transitioning back and forth between schools. Um and then next year over the summertime out the back of the building they will continue by adding four additional classrooms. Two on the top level and two on the bottom level. Um and that will allow us to have some additional room for growth. At that time we anticipate adding needing one or two more classes and then it will give us some additional uh areas to provide physical therapy, occupational therapy and so forth.
Is it also next school year? >> It's going to be over the summer. Yeah, >> over the summer. Okay, that's great. And I also on the solar piece, um is the holdup from PG& just like they just have too many solar panels to install or like what is the hold up? Do you know? PG& just likes to take their sweet time. >> Okay. Because I have um I have a colleague who does PG& um intergovernmental relations and so we can if you we can follow up after and I can >> I would love to get that contact number. >> Yeah, I can follow up with her and see if there's something that we can do to try and push it along. >> Yes, please. >> Okay, that'd be great. Any other Yeah, I was just going to reiterate that contact would be great because um our communication with PG& is rarely fruitful.
Landon Clark I want to thank my mom, papa, dad, brother, aunt Bev, and the rest of my family. Without you, I would not be the person I am today. Let's make sure that all of the teams, guys, you need to know that this year is make it or break it. Put up a booth in Coyote days and sell your team because why do we have three people in the marketing department? Like there's other places within the district that are farther from the students and farther from the >> So we're on very clear. Or it could be if you're from 1500 kids to,58 kids, you do the math. If we want to have 16 programs and divide it by 1500 kids and we want to have 16 programs and divide it by thousand kids if the kids are not there. Now what you'll see in not just here I've been in five six districts in my career certain people come in and they're kid magnets and they'll take a sport or a program and they'll run it up and there'll be a bunch of kids.
Good evening everyone. It has been both a privilege and a pleasure to participate in the statewide math PLC over the past two years. Through this experience, I found a community of math educators to collaborate with something truly meaningful as a singleton teacher. Um, this year our team focused on gears one and three, student learning goals and high impact instructional practices such as academic discourse, purposeful collaborative work, and promoting productive struggle by rescuing less. In this video, you will see me use an e-lass to deliver a lesson aligned to an algebra 1 state standard where students interpret differences in shape, center, and spread in the context of data sets accounting for possible effects of outliers if present. Intentional questions and conversational strategies are done to facilitate student- centered discussions where they explain their reasoning, build on ideas, and justify their answers. Let's watch this. What if a student joins this group and earns $800 monthly from part-time jobs?
It's really been um a great time to be able to lean on my peers. If I'm having trouble with a student with team teaching, I'm able to converse with her and see if she has a strategy that might work. So that's been able to really benefit us with the implementation of TBRRI. So full stem ahead deputies really trying hard to become STEM certified and that's something that we're pretty proud of. Um we're in the process of it. So we're constantly coming up with ways to check those boxes and make it happen. One of the things that we're super proud of is our club days. So our children have the option at the beginning of the year they get a little snippet of we have history and art, crocheting, cooking, science, Legos, robotics. I might be leaving one out, but they're gonna come out. Art, thank you, Art.
Um and and and all the the common steady, I think they would all disagree with you in certain meetings. There's no common steady. Um but uh it it's uh Again, I'm blessed. I'm fortunate. So, thank you. You two will vote to accept the evaluation? I'll just say Don't forget that you get a little credit for the team you put together, too. I know you inherited some folks, but you've also had a huge role in all of that and that's why I'm not taking away anything from the folks sitting here. Um but you know, I think it's always it's always important to recognize you get there together and you are very much a part of that. I wholeheartedly support everything Lori wrote. I'll move to accept it as presented. I I'll second that, but also uh echo what Mark said that we we retain the talent we have uh because of the leadership.
Yeah. Getting what? Action. That's action. See that? Yeah, I feel like we're just kind of splitting THE QUARTERS, BUT >> [cheering] >> SOMEONE GET ORVILLE'S REACTION. I'LL GET ASHLIN'S REACTION. Look how sad they are. I feel like it's rude to be on that shot, but it's so funny. All right, Sophia, you want to get back on? All right. It's more like a how did we get here kind of moment. You know? Just another side bust. Yeah. >> WHAT IS GOING ON? See some action going on. Cam two. All right, got Cam 8, number 8 right now. He's going. He's going. Oh, oh, oh. He did not get a nice and get a nice close to the goal and let's score. >> [cheering] [screaming] >> I got them in. Big game. All right, I'm zooming out again. See out there, still? I had some goals and zoom tight on them.
Henry has it. He's running back with it a little bit. Waiting for his crew. Henry bringing it down. Thought about it, stopped. Pass to Atwood. Atwood to Cavallaro. Cavallaro a little spin there. Cavallaro trying to get in. Passes to Hartnett. That was a wonderful play by Cavallaro, too. And Henry trying to break it out. Fowler just trying to nail him, too. Good job by Justin Pillard. Eating the checks. Behind right up in Oh my goodness. Tic-tac-toe there. And Dorr tying it up. My goodness. This is quite the game. Six to six. 8:37 left to go in the third quarter. Just super action-packed. Front of the parents, too. It's exciting. The senior parents, I should say. I'm Brad Crandall. Elsa Suko on camera. Cam Crandall on the Instagram. We are so happy that you tune in and support us. Not financially support us, but you know what I mean.
