8 minutes and 47 40 seconds left. Really, the ball's been in the Holliston defensive zone most of the time. This one's going to be a shooting space violation. So, again, Maggie with the ball. Number 26 had come over, that's Margaret No, maybe it Maybe it was No. Don't know who it was. Sorry. Maybe number 27. Yeah, Ashley Ash. Avery Ash, sorry. And then that was a shot in a goal, free position shot, Maggie McGinness. This time, instead of trying to run it in, she stood there, took the shot, aimed nice and low, tough for the goalie to pick up. Ashlin two, Holliston nothing. Good look there. Yeah, there was really good patience. As you say, there there are times when the team is rather unselfish trying to pass to their teammates when maybe the better course would be just to hold on to it for a bit and look for a better opportunity.
But I have a purple note on the next one. Um uh that they wanted to delete that one. And uh I marked it because we do have it and I didn't know if you all might want to keep it. Uh so uh Cass, if you would look at ED as well, please. Doesn't like it, does it? She did. She put the policy name and it didn't EC. Yeah. In this case, we want ED though. Yes. Because Yeah. It brings any place that has ED. Yeah. Policy. Yeah. The word policy. Just has to c catch up with you. That's all. There we go. This is the warehouse. Um, personally, I think we should keep this one. We do have a warehouse. Yeah. And anything that's stated there does apply. Yeah. Why wouldn't you keep this if you have a warehouse? If we have it right now currently, we just keep it.
Working together with the districts throughout Pum County, we've achieved an impressive graduation rate of 89% for Yodo seniors. If you aren't familiar with our program, I invite you to visit us and tour our youth center in Midtown. We'd love to show you around and show you more about our services. With me today is one of our Yodo staff members, S, who works directly with youth in our program. S would like to share with you a story of one of our Yodo graduates who attended Morirana High School. Thank you. >> Hello everyone. Uh today I would like to take a moment to recognize an incredible perseverance of one of our graduating youth, Rain. When people hear about homelessness, uh they often picture someone sleeping outside. But for many of the youth that youth on their own serves, homelessness can look very different. Sometimes it can look couch hopping, moving from one place to another, staying wherever there is space, and never fully knowing when or where will home be.
I was able to get hands-on experience in this program as well as well as an internship with CEP in my second year of the course. This opportunity has helped me put my foot in the door and now I have my school paid for because of such a great program. I have focused on what Crawford has done for me, but I really want to focus on what they do for others. Our school is a melting pot in which everyone brings their race, gender, ideas, personalities, and ideals into the school. Um, our school does a wonderful job in making sure everyone is recognized and respected. For example, the culture diversity club holds a culture night in which everyone brings their culture into one place and every culture is recognized and honored. Along with the support of cultures, our school offers all kinds of clubs and organizations to make sure there is an opportunity for every student to be involved and feel welcomed.
So, here is this. I have Allison Martinez. Zander Mitchell. Arthur King. Ooh, Arthur. Ava Tegner. Grace Michultka. Jaden Metry. Jace Matthews. Ooh, Jace. Madison Doyle. Ooh, Madison. Matthew Lovelace. Navaeh Prince. Ruth Alferez. Yeah. Ooh, Ruth. Analee Chavez. Ooh, Analee. And that is all of Spellbowl. We almost had enough for two teams this year. Let's hope for two next year, right? It's me again. Sorry. Hi, I'm Mary Rose. I'm Mathbowl, also. >> [laughter] >> These kids worked so hard, also. They did a lot of different math equations, word problems, short ones like in math um sorry, in first grade. So, 2 + 2 all the way up to PEMDAS, if anyone remembers that. They did phenomenal. We only had seven, I believe, but they were phenomenal. We did a wonderful job in Math Bowl itself. We have Xander Mitchell again. Ruth Alcaraz. Osvaldo Omar Sanchez. Omar.
Okay, so then um we go through the criteria for site plan review section 9.4.6. And so those are the things that are the same um uh points that are listed. I think it's 12, right? 12 points that are listed below um Jasmine went through and did an initial um pass through of these and then we can obviously tailor it to how we think it should should sound. Um So Paul, if you spot things um that you corrected as we just go down the list, just you know, let us know. And I can switch back and forth Paul to show on the screen when you're Oh, yes. Oh, no, okay. So, let's though go Why don't we go through in order so we'll get there. So, does anyone minimize use of wetlands, steep slopes, flood plains, and hilltops? Finding the planning board finds that the site requires minimal topographic changes and this criteria has been met.
That time, they they took their time and eventually got themselves a nice shot. We always talk about how draw control is so important, but Kevin, this is going to be one of those games that really comes down to just controlling that ball, especially off the draw and then and then maintaining possession. So, Maggie McGinness, good job there chasing it down is Ashley Forrester. Margaret Morton came up with the ball for Holliston, charged right down the middle. Couldn't get much of a shot off. I tell you what, they the ref seemed to be letting play. There was a of contact. Eventually the call went Ashland's way there. Samantha Sciortino with it. She's going to hold on for for a bit, figure out what her options are. Over to Payton on the sidelines. I'm sure Payton's happy to get that 100th point out of the way nice and early in the game.
Yeah. Okay. Good. Okay. We were at eight. Yeah, there were only two or three that I only had a couple that we were that we don't have. Yeah, I think the other one has to do with uh hiring uh Oh, there we go. Oh, naming facilities. Um yeah, and I I think we probably should have this policy. So, if you uh Cass, if you'd get it, please. Not that we're anticipating having any new facilities anytime soon, but Well, that's the way all the schools have gotten named. Oh, we had a we had Yeah. And we had a procedure at the time um that involved kids input and parents. Well, we actually it was when we named Coyote and Diamondback and Mountain View, it was kids and they they uh they nominated names and the kids who were going to go to those schools voted and then made those recommendations to the board.
That was part of Rain's reality. In the middle of housing instability, Rain was moving from one place to another while trying to stay focused in school. And despite everything that she was carrying, she continued to excel academically at Morirana High School. Being a straight A student, we know that housing stability can deeply impact a student's success. Nationally, students experiencing homelessness are less likely to graduate high school than their peers. Yet, RAIN continue to show determination, resilience, and in the face of uncertainty. Through Yodo's stipen support, Rain was able to access things that she needed for herself and to reduce some of the financial stress that she was facing for the housing and stability part of it. During a very difficult time in her life, Yoda was able to walk alongside her and offer support when she needed the most. So today, we are proud to celebrate that Rain is graduating this year and transferring to Puma College.
Our school offers a variety of clubs that attempt to suit every student's desires and passions. Another form of support is a great administrator who seek to ser and in whatever they may be struggling with with they listen and they address each concern. Crawford'sville High School has done a wonderful job at making sure everyone is loved and supported and Crawford'sville is a school that I would want my future kids to attend. If I could sum up what my experience uh has been at Crawford'sville, I would say as a school and staff that have supported and pushed me to be the best version my of myself and everything that I have done and continue to do. Thank you for taking the time to listen to what Crawford'sville has done for me and will continue to do for others. Crawford'sville is truly the best school around. From the students to the staff, one last thank you to all the administrators, staff, and students who have made these past four years unforgettable.
Matthew Lavalette. Jolisa. Palazzo. Is Jolisa here? Oh. Josiah Little. Hayden Cassiday. Ezequiel Sanchez. Eva Sala. Eva. Caleb Navarez. Oh, we got 10 seconds. Ava Tigner. That's all the contestants. So, great. Thank you, Math Bowl. One of those. All right. Mrs. Kitchen um is our science bowl or was our science bowl coach. She's not able to be here this evening. Um but she She a little blurb that she liked us would like us to share along with certificates. This year the Science Bowl team spent time learning about the water cycle and the important role it plays in our environment. Through hands-on activities and discussions, the students explored how water moves through the processes, processes, of evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. Students created miniature versions of the water cycle and observed the changes taking place first hand. This experiment allowed them to see how water continuously moves through Earth's systems in action.
Good? Good. I'll I'll be like a town meeting just you have to say hold if you object. Minimize obstruction of scenic views. The planning board finds that though the site contains no long-distance views, there is a beauty in the forested landscape that the project respects and works to preserve the landscape as much as possible. Um, I think this is kind of the wording from the Y. I think I would maybe tone it down just a little bit. Um, maybe saying that the site contains no long-distance views, there is value in the I wouldn't call it a forested landscape. What would you call it? In the vegetated site? I just think it's a little much to call this call it forested, you know. Um, so I guess I would just suggest uh instead of Did you say maintained buffer? Um, long-distance views, there is instead of a beauty, I would just say there is value in the um, vegetated vegetated site.
Certainly sets lets a team play their game, too, cuz a lot of times you see a lot of forces like last game they're trying to get that ball to Lily for her 200th point and you know, it's good to see them now get that out of the way. >> less thing they have to think about now. Just win. Hopefully by seven. That'd be a great great goal. Great great goal to have because you know, last night with the Norwood game they were up by five or six at one point then let them creep back in to come back by almost with two. So, you know, seven points with that MIA power ranking certainly helps. Right now we're sitting at like 35. New power rank comes out tomorrow. Probably going to be around 30 332. Maybe playing game. Nice pass to Maggie. At this point I'm not sure the the power rankings are going to have much to do with it.
Um, add it back in. Mhm. Because it says district may consider back, right? Probably should say district should. Yeah. But we'll go with may for right now. Got it. Okay. Um, so, yep. So, uh, and then, uh, then there should be another one that I marked that we don't currently have it. I think I won't swear to that. This is where if it was printed out, we'd have the little tabs. Yeah. Oh, okay. That was it. Yes. But I didn't think you wanted 130 pages. No. No. And I know you don't want the hund the two the 500 pages. No. Um I did those front to back and you know it's a it's crazy. Yeah. 250 sheets. So I know you don't want that. Um so anyway, so those are good. Those are good. Is going to be in our policy. We like to keep that one.
Today we are proud to celebrate her graduation and also her counselor Miss Gretchen from Morirana High School and along with the Yodo staff are incred incredibly proud of all that she has accomplished. Ray's stories reminds us that difficult circumstances cannot define a young person's future. With resilience, support, and hope, amazing things are possible. So, thank you for your partnership and support of Youth on Their Own and together we are helping so many students find their way to graduation. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Next up is Sarah Kada. Good evening, President Mcronis, Vice President Raymond, board members, and senior staff. My name is Sarah Kada, and it was my honor to serve as the negotiations chair for the Morirana Education Association. I'm happy to report that members have ratified the 2026 2027 negotiation agreement. I want to thank the negotiations team for their dedication to advocating for all certified staff.
Thank you. Good evening. My name is Mesa Horton. Um, I plan to attend Xavier University in the fall and study elementary education. Throughout high school, I've loved getting involved in many sports and extracurriculars. I did swimming, soccer, track, and track all four years, as well as being a member of our competitive show choir here at school. I was involved in student council, student leadership team, student athletic leadership team, interact club, and was also president of bring change to mind, our mental health awareness club. Honestly, choosing to get involved my freshman year of high school and the many opportunities CHS had to offer is what helped me build meaningful friendships, leadership skills, and my confidence throughout my time here. High school, high school club, sports, and extracurricular activities have truly been the cornerstone of my personal growth. In terms of the athletic program and clubs offered at CHS, teammates and club members were where I built the most meaningful friendships because of the shared love and passion for the activity, but also because of the supportive environments and strong connections that we shared.
Students then completed a team and experiment test together, and four individuals completed a test independently. Where Arthur King impressively scored a near perfect on this on his own individual test. It is our pres- pres- pleasure to recognize their hard work this evening. Sorry. My goodness. Arthur King. Ruth Alcaraz. Ava Zigner. Zada Johnson. Nivea Prince. And next we have our art club. So, this is a club that has started last year and we continued on through this school year. Ms. Mercansky was also not able to be here this evening, but she had shared that our club was a creative space for our fourth and fifth graders who love art and want to explore new materials and ideas. They meet every other Tuesday to try and work with hands-on projects like clay, shrinky dinks, printmaking, and painting. Our club encourages creativity, builds confidence, and allows students to share their unique artistic voices with the school community.
And that the project respects Oh, wait, what And then what were you going to say? The project >> that that was perfect. I just Okay, veg And And that the project maintains this vegetated buffer. Is that what you're going to say? Yes, at the end. Yeah. Yeah. Um, And that the project maintains its vegetated buffer. Yeah, I think so, but it probably um No. Oh, oops. I just put that in. Sorry. And then and then then we said vegetated twice, so it seems like we should take out You want to take it out here or Um No, I think that's I think keeping the vegetated buffer is good. I think taking out my first one and replacing it with um natural. Oh. Maybe. Um or there's value in the existing site maybe is better. Cuz it's not really natural either. Um There's value in the existing site and that the project and that the project maintains the it a vegetated buffer.
I think it's going to be a 500 record. Yes. Is in and if it's not, you're not. Yeah. So, right now they are what? Five six and five I think or no, what not. They're they're down by one. >> They're seven and eight. Seven and eight. That's what it was. With three games remaining. Lilly and Payton on the right here slowing down the push. Good job preventing Collison from getting up the field quickly. Eventually causes a turnover although Collison did come up with it. Again, Margaret Morton streaking down the field but Lana Duffy shaking off the rust with her first Oh, oh no. We got Ashley Sciortino taking a spill there. She's smiling so she's not hurt. She just had a stubbed her toe. Ashley gets up, comes up with the ball. Oh, that's that's fair. It's fair that she ends up with the ball after that toe pick.
Yeah. Is there any more purple in here? I don't remember there being I don't remember there being any more purple. I think we got the ones that um so do you like the you do you like that highlighting system? Did that help you in terms of reviewing these? Oh, absolutely. Okay. Yeah. Okay. I will uh I will continue that with the the uh section G when we get to it. Thank you. I started it for me because I thought because I wanted to know uh because in section G I was looking at it before I was looking at E and um there are some critical policies in G that they had marked for deletion and and they have to do with how we uh how we handle employee situations. And I thought what are we going to where are these going? You know, they can't really go away.
