Well, that's a couple of times down the field Holliston's having trouble getting into the offense or when they do they're losing it rather quickly, so Ashley needs to take advantage of those if they're going to going to prevail. Isabelle Bray on the draw here with Ashley, number nine. She's a freshman. Ashland holding a fifth defender back off the draw so that if it's won cleanly by Holliston, they'll be in position to defend. Not a fan of that, Kev. Yeah. I say push the offense, you know, if you're if you're confident in your draw, you should show it by by having somebody on the offensive side. And you got numbers. Right? Hopefully they win it and then >> If you're up. Let's see, if you're down, that's a good strategy, but up is you know, let's let's go ahead and push it. >> Yep. Got a redraw here.
So, uh and she even did leg work. I mean, she went out to the individual school sites and and bugged them for information and and all of that stuff. It it always takes a team. It always takes a team, but it's really nice when we have folks who are not necessarily directly connected, you know, but in a way, Amanda is since she's our emergency direct, you know, our our emergency command uh person. Um it was important to her for us to have the SRO and to have the counselors and everybody. So, we're pretty excited about all of that. Okay. So, um, if you have questions, I'll try to answer. I don't think so. I'd just like to give an official attab boy to to both Jen and Amanda for what they managed to accomplish because it's amazing and uh we know we need that, but you guys are really great at that and you're very good at what you do.
This contractual agreement has been reviewed um and approved by a district legal council and this opportunity comes at zero cost to MUSD. >> Thank you. Can I get a motion? >> I move that the governing board approve the field education contractual agreement with Grand Canyon University and the Morirana Unified School District. >> Can I get a second? >> Second.
>> Do we have a second? >> Second. >> Any discussion? All those in favor? I >> I. >> Any opposed? Thank you. All right. Next item is the uh member memo of understanding with the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation. Dr. Bokart. >> Yeah. So this is our anonymous reporting system and our initial uh was for three years and we are coming to the end of those three years. So this would be for a renewal of another three years for this anonymous reporting system. It will also bring in Athens virtual academy. So those students will have access um as well. And then it will also be onboarding a summer bridge team to assist uh for parents and students throughout the summer as well. So I would recommend approval of the renewal of this Sandy Hookou.
And with that, Mr. Wright, those are all my announcements for today. Thank you, sir. Does anybody else have anything? Meeting adjourned. Thank you, everyone.
Potential future light fixture. It's hard to tell because that underlying drawing is showing all the existing conditions. You can see the old driveway. And so, it's hard to tell if it's there or not. >> And C202 has the signage. Which This drawing that you are on. Oh, yeah, I saw something there. >> Right on the top. There you go. That one. >> oh. Yeah, so it's hard to To me, it looks like It's hard to say if that dumpster is is or that fenced-in area is staying or going. I think it's staying. It's existing staying and they're screening it here with this landscape buffer. And we did say that anything on this site had to be screened, so it's Yeah. It is covered. Under your >> Yeah, so we'll we'll make sure we have that in there, but um Yeah, we might even put such as The >> trash receptacle area.
Ashley Forester Peyton, Lily on the circle. Lily with the hustle, like to see it. Hurry up and move it over there. >> that's called. Ashley coming in with going to set up the offense over to Laney Early, freshman, to Erin Hickey. Man, she's just having trouble getting that shot off fast enough, huh? It is a shot though, and Lily tracks it down, so we get the ball back behind the net. That was a pass that may have been a little more crisp into the middle and might have given her a little more time. But she got swallowed up pretty quick by the two defenders, unfortunately. Ashley Forester with the ball, top middle over to Laney Early. Laney going to patiently wait for a cutter back to Ryann Adorno. Ryann to Lily again, another nice pass. How is Lily Vitti getting those balls in the air?
We appreciate you a whole lot. So, thank you. Thank you, Fred. Yeah. Okay. Item 3.9, board member updates. Um, Sheila and I and Barb went to Department of Education workshop and I brought these back for you and Charlene. This is basically and I brought one back car from Carolyn, too. Carolyn has one. Thank you. And I'm hoping that you share that with whoever needs. I will be happy to. Um, basically this is what we did. And it was really a a full full day. It's an excellent workshop. And I think we found that because of the mix of the group that was there because there were there were fewer board members there than there were superintendents, other people. Yeah. Superintendent or um there were a couple counselors there. There were there was a principal couple principles all over. I think that the we were sitting with uh Darilyn Darilyn.
>> Any discussion? All those in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. >> Thank you. Does any board member have a request for future agenda items? Okay. Future meeting. Our next meeting is June 11th. >> June 11th at 6 o'clock right here and then it will be August 13th and September 3rd. Can I get a motion to adjurnn? >> I move the Miranda governing board adjourn. >> Can I get a second? >> Second. >> All those in favor? >> I.
>> Any questions for Dr. Bookart? >> Consider >> Oh, sorry. >> Go ahead. >> I move. >> Move approval. >> A second. >> All those in favor? I >> I Next item is consider public works project. Dr. Bokart. >> Yeah. So a few things in here. Uh most of this will pertain to some parking lot work that we will have uh done uh this summer. So um this work will take place at Hose Nicholson uh Hoover Field. So the the parking lot section in between Hoover and the transportation building and then CMS and CHS. So you'll see in your packet there uh there were bids uh from um triangle asphalt price excavating and automarking. So um I would just note on a couple of them the scope of work is a little bit different which is why the amount is uh the the bid that I'll be recommending is higher compared to uh the other bids that were brought in.
Yeah, existing trash receptacle area. Do we add that? Yeah. Okay, and then I'm looking at the next thing for JCG that says JCG recommends adding the planning board or its representative to be included in the review of the vegetative screening prior to the vegetative augmentation as part of the approval conditions. So, yes, we can add that. But, I assume that will be >> I'm so sorry. Oh, um I was going through JCG's things, but I guess that's a condition I guess that's not in part not of the part of the findings. Oh, okay. Do we want to pull that language though? Um yeah, so it would be in number 20. Is it a condition? All right, so anyway, we were at findings and because we were there because it's talking about conditions for parking, loading, signage, and we needed to give two waivers, one for the loading and then I guess it the signage actually isn't a waiver.
It's all right. Good for her. Cuz it's funny, you know, they're they're dishing the ball late for the cut and she's still getting it and still putting in the net. So, good for Lilly. Good for everybody. Looking good out there. At some point, the Panthers may start to look at Lilly and maybe try to guard her a little bit differently because for right now, candidly, it's not working. Yeah, she shouldn't be get She shouldn't She shouldn't be getting those balls when you have two defenders on you, but she's she's good. She's she's good at crawling that ball and good getting the shot off quick. So, good for her. Tall, she's strong. So, she's a great target to look for. But, at this point, seven goals on the board, five of them belong to Lilly Vitti. Uh they they may start thinking about defending her a little bit differently.
Oh, Darlene Brown. Yeah, Darlene. Darlene Brown. Um and she was sort of working with us and it was kind of interesting that um that we we sat there together. We were wishing that there were more high school board members there, but she was basically saying she was it for now, but she's looking forward to more, too. I kind of wanted to do this because I wanted to see the difference between an ASBA training and a Department of Ed training. And I really didn't see a whole bunch of difference. ASBA is a little more relaxed, a little less tie and suit. Yeah. Um but other than that, they they pretty much did this stuff. And this is the same training as we have gotten in the past. It was a good reminder of everything that we should have should know and all that. We had two things that came out of it.
So it is a more milling, more long-term uh maintenance that will be better for uh what we're doing this summer. So that is the reason for the hose, the Nicholson and the Hoover work specifically uh where the the bit that will be recommended here is is higher. So um and then CMS and CHS is um just doing some crack and seal and striping. So um the final project that is there is for the high school uh fire pump. So um we have been working through that one a lot. Amber Reed's been uh working with with Steve and the fire department and um our test results indicate that our flow rate is not meeting the the required uh to keep the sprinkler system pressurized. So uh we need to look at replacing that pump. So, uh, you will see the the bids in there from New Jack Industrial, Ry Ryan Fire Protection, and Corson, which Corson we did not hear from.
Is it? So, No. So, it's a condition later. So, um um So, the planning board finds that the submitted plans of record and supporting application material comply with all relevant zoning requirements. Well, maybe not. Um for parking, loading, signage, dimensions, and environmental friend. So, maybe it does have to stay there. Something about the signage. But then it needs to go through the the signage permit. Well, I have it in here as Oh, why isn't it Sorry. Right, it says here loading and then signage. We're still in We're loading We just added mics. exact language >> Yeah. I mean, I don't have a [clears throat] problem with the sign where it is, but does it I mean I think it's in the right place. I think it's just saying the 30-ft thing cuz it is on the left side of the property, right? And it's within the 10-ft range.
Almost a second consecutive draw control, but not to be the case. Margaret Morton comes up with it. I think they call her Maggie, so I might do that from now on cuz I've heard that yelled. Caroline Vargas with the ball. Sophomore setting up the offense for Holliston. It's number Abigail Langdon, senior. Back to freshman Isabel Bray, number nine. Back to 15, little Bob with the ball there, Payton and Chase applying pressure. That's that's good pressure when the the ball is on the ground. That causes the offensive player to get a little panicky trying to get it back. Abigail Lang behind the net with the ball. Trying to set something up. Top of the top of the fit 12 here. Nice shot. Nice stop by Alana Duffy. Kick save and a beaut, Kev. Alana looks like herself, I got to say. She doesn't look like she's missed a couple of games.
One was that there was a book and the book was there was a bunch of good books in here. So even the two she's mentioning look for the books because I thought they were pretty helpful. I Yeah, I got the first book the something about great. What was the name of the book? I'm sorry. I should have this done. Um, oh, great. On their behalf and we walked away with the idea that maybe our county superintendent could put forward a training or a book study on this book. Um, and the parts that I've read about it or read in it are are really pretty good. It's a It's a a book where you read some and you do some read some, do some. So, it's it's a pretty pretty good thing. And I'm hoping she was um Darlene was going to look into she was going to look into talking to Mr.
So, um, for the fire pump, yep, I would recommend New Jack Industrial Fire Protection receive that bid. And for our parking lot work, I would recommend that auto um parking and parking receive um those bids for the the work this summer.
Um but are they showing it Is it far enough back from the street? Like do we know that? No, it's 3 ft from the street. Um but there's also a maple tree right next to it. >> Yeah, there is. Which sounds like it may not be a large tree because this sign is also not a huge one. It says it's only 3 by 5 ft sign. Um it's 3 ft from the front and 10 ft from property line. And it's towards the property, not parallel to the street. Well, let's let's put it in as we have for now. Let's get all this language and then I mean, there's not even anyone here today so that we'll we'll give this draft to them, but we'll also check on it with Doug and see what what the issue would be if any from his point of view.
