I know our friends over at Witness Media covered the ACAC cross country meet when we hosted it here three years ago. Uh, and it it was interesting because all those races kind of seem to be like, "Oh, here's a front runner." And we follow the front runner and then everybody coming across the finish line. So, it's definitely something that's very difficult, very interesting to cover when you have a single camera. Um, but it still be kind of fun. And trust me, talking about a 5K, it is it's tough, it is very tough to talk throughout a whole 5K. >> I can imagine >> as we do get some of these award winners going on here, I think Mr. Coconer has quite a collection of names to be reading off here. >> Will present the winners, the awards for the girls So, >> going with the girls high jump winners here.
>> I think this this meet record I think it's worth noting 1982 uh Norwell standout Angie Bradburn 5'8 and 1/2 in. Uh I think that record is pretty well safe in Angie's hands for probably quite some time. >> Yes, >> pretty hot. >> Uh especially considering the boys record from 1999 is 5' 11 and a quarter. >> So yeah, he's got it pretty much in the bag if she wants it. Woodlands. >> So, as we take a look, you have the girls high jump results on the screen for everybody there. >> See, I think especially now as things have slowed down, it's like, oh, hey, the screenshot, the screenshot method, it actually does make sense. Yeah, >> it works. It was when I had to do it and start a clock and put lands up that it got kind of hectic, but >> it works.
>> Yeah. And I wonder too like just thinking brainstorming like using a second computer and like a shared Google Drive where we could like somebody else is doing that. >> Be cool if you had like a second monitor that he could have production truck up on. >> Yeah. >> To do that. That'd be cool. So, Izzy, I know you don't have a microphone, but I guess we can give you an opportunity to communicate with us, like shake up and down on the camera if you really enjoyed your time here on the uh with student broadcasting or Hey, look at that. You can't really see it. Yeah, there we go. So, Izzy's done a nice job. I think she's really thrived in the role as being a camera operator. I saw her in the hallway just the other day and I was like, hey, you able to help on Friday?
And she says, "Oh, yeah, for sure." uh just really appreciate her enthusiasm. obviously knowing you two for several years, coaching your siblings and now yourselves, but yeah, Izzy being a freshman who just kind of came in, it's like, "Oh, hey, let's get a part of this." And she's been an awesome addition to this. fourth place from Woodland. >> So, >> the third place. >> So, the winner. So, Angelley Dmer having I'm I'm actually very curious about how she fared in the throws tonight. I know she was very close to a lot of the records. J Kelly, Jordan Champ. >> Jordan Champ >> being the long jump champion here tonight. >> Nice to see her get that first place podium finish. I know she had a very close races in the 100 200. So good to see her be able to get that championship for herself.
And here are the results of the girls. In eighth place from Heritage, Kendall Gerber. Seventh place from Southern Wells, Elsa Franks. Sixth place from Blton, Molina. Fifth place from J County, Arabella Lake. Fourth place from Central. Second place from Woodland, Grace Em66 girls for the ACAC middle school trackmate, a mark of 35 ft from Heritage. and >> Ensley Dmer does get the ACAC meet record with a throw 35 ft no inches. >> What's very impressive. Grace Hammond in second place broke the previous record as did Bella Payne in third and Kinley Henning in fourth. We had the four best throws in ACAC middle school history all happen here tonight. Just an impressive performance by these young ladies. >> So again, Kinley Henning, Bellip, Grace Hammond, and Ensley Dmer. The four best middle school shot putters in ACAC history. >> Seventh place, South Athon, Molina. Fourth place from Cheyenne.
Third place from Woodland. Second place from Southern Elsa Franks. Your 2026 Middle School AC >> Dmer. Not just one record >> but two meet records as her mark of 92 feet 7 in >> surpasses Kiana Gary of Leo. That shot put MBrage of record breakers also passing Kiana Garry of Leo both set in 2009. So huge congratulations to all four of those shot putters but especially a big shout out there to Ensley Dmer of Heritage Junior High School. can make their way to the stand. Here are the results. Third place, Ruby. Second place from Woodland, Elsie Clark, winner of the 2026 Middle School AC. So girls pole vault we had three individuals >> and that mark of 8'6 in Ensley Dmer passing her I guess record from last year. Uh so she now has three meetat records. Yeah, three meet. It's the same girl. >> And yeah, Ensley Dmer now three meet record.
She does break her own eight for three inch. Now PV vault was reinstituted last year in 2025. I believe there was no girls pull vault beforehand. Um the boys pull vault record at least the modern one being six foot six by Lucas CL. Not sure if that is necessarily um necessarily the overall record. I'm sure there was middle school pault in the past as well. Yeah. So, the two newer events to the middle school ACAC being PV vault and the 4x800. >> We are taking a look >> boy shot put. Okay. Okay, so I do have an update. Davin Dreer did miss all three attempts at 5. I think maybe being a little gassed after the 4x4. >> So that means >> the champion going to Titus Foster of Heritage >> and I think he just cleared 52. Second place from MX ACA middle school boys discus champion a mark of 143 in fromiti >> Eli Lchfield a mark of 143t 9 in being a new ACAC meet record. Heritage just coming away with so many meet records, especially in the field here tonight. do have a little bit of a look here. of heritage the high jump. Here are the results of the boys. One compeller. Keller Smith being the lone participant in the boys pull vault coming away with the 6'6 mark which does tie last year's winner Lucas Clim also of Woodland. So at least the modern era of ACAC tying that meat record. I'm sure that there is a more longstanding record there in pull vault.
We may need to see if we can do some digging on those records from the past there. And I especially with high schoolers, I think it's impressive enough getting high schoolers that adrenaline to get into pole, but seeing some middle schoolers do, I think that's just takes an incredible feat of confidence and kind of fearlessness, recklessness, I think is what you were kind of saying, right? Stupidity I think is what you said. >> Something like that. Yeah, there's a lot of high schoolers that are >> would not pull vault if given the chance because they tell me all the time they're like, "How do you do it? It'd be terrifying." The fact that a middle school is doing it, it's quite impressive. As we look over at high jump, >> we still have >> Titus Foster of Heritage Middle Junior High >> 51 attempt. And he gets it.
And look at that big cheering section of the Patriot Faithful down there as well. Titus Foster clearing 5'1 in over on the high jump. She didn't say I know, but she wanted to say. >> So, we still have an event going on. Fosters PR coming into tonight. 5' 5 in. I believe Foster is part of the 4x. So, >> and the 800. So, we're delaying the podiums for those two events. Just that's the Titus Foster show here on BHMSD TV. And the ACAC winners for the ladies, the Heritage Junior High School Patriots with a score of 149 points. >> So congratulation goes out to the Heritage Patriots. And always a nice feeling getting to pose with a championship trophy.
And there's that celebration. lots of championships, lots of meet records for the Heritage Ladies tonight. >> On the guys side, the team scores going as this South Adams or Southern Wells, pardon me, in seventh with 39 points. In sixth, Jay County, 51. Fifth place, South Adams, 64. Fourth place, Adam Central 66. Third place, Heritage 83. Second place, Bluffton, 95. and the ACSU middle school champion boys, the Wen High School Middle School Warriors with 139 points. >> President >> and this will be the final time uh I think golf still for Coach Thompson to hand out an ACAC championship trophy. still got boys golf ACAC to go. But >> and very big thanks to coach Thompson. I messaged him earlier this week. Hey, can we do the broadcast? He Oh yeah, I'm all for that. So big thanks to him allowing us to do this here tonight.

Um, well, it was fun. I can't really say it was a close meet because the the winners in both the men and the women's pulled ahead pretty strongly and held it. >> Um, but I think what we saw was a lot of good performances and some determined running and jumping and throwing and vaultting from some very young athletes and I'm excited to see what they do next year and in the future as they enter both their next middle school season and high school. And Jeremy, how about you? And first time doing some commentary as well. So, what kind of thoughts on the meat, thoughts on commentary? >> I mean, it was it was a fun meet to watch.

Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to North High School as we celebrate the graduation of the students of the class of 2026. At this time, please stand if you are able for the processional as the band, conducted by Mr. Jessen Smith, plays Pomp and Circumstance.
Um but that's the importance of like those first couple weeks of the school year or the semester or of the quarter because routines and procedures work for me. Um, let's probably gener um built a very rich attendance conversation for us and I want to do it justice and I hope I do. So, I'm going to ask her afterwards when she when people watch the recording I said did I do justice? Um so this portion is around our attendance behavior and social emotional learning data. Um we've also incorporated some of the partnerships that we've had like the um through spiffy and the surveys that they've done into to kind of give a holistic view around and some of the next steps. And so like I said Dr. Babara and her team um built this her Colleen and I may um and so this is on behalf of the office of student affair but from advocacy.
