Um, I was able to get those figures. It's a little over $3 for this year um per mile that we pay for. So we do get reimbursed for some of this cost um through the government. And then for next year the cost is $3.7 a mile to be exact. >> And is that local or federal reimbursement? I believe it is federal, but I will clarify that and report that back in status. >> All right. Thank you. >> To be president. >> Oh, go ahead. No, go ahead. >> President Wade, um, uh, Miss Miss Miller, um, I just wanted to I don't know if there's competitors out there, if we're actively looking out to just like reassess like if this is the best budget, but yes, I believe this does not come out of the M. I'm pretty 100% sure. Oh, don't worry about that. Sorry.
Sorry. I'm getting ahead of myself. Um, and I'm grateful for the knowledge though. I'm learning, but I don't want anybody to quote me here. Okay. Um, are we getting kind of other quotes or anything from other vendors or such? Are we touching base before the renewal of this contract? I just want to make sure I'm doing my due diligence. Again, fis fiscal responsibility. I know that that's always the district's underlying tone, but I just want to confirm publicly that we're touching base on that and that there's active rolling background checks on these drivers for all of these to protect the students safety. Yes. So, they are held to the same standards as our, you know, they require the background checks and all of those things um through the company. We are currently looking at other vendors that we could use that may be a little bit cheaper than ever driven.
So, we are looking at pricing. Just because we have an agreement with Everdriven doesn't mean that we have to use them. It's just because they've meet the threshold that we need governing board approval. >> I appreciate it. Thank you so much, President Wade. Um, and I know that we had another vendor. I forget their name. Hop skip drive. Is it same service, same type of service or not? >> It it is. is I do not believe we use hop skip drive. >> Perfect. Thank you. >> Uh just for clarification for those who are listening, these are for students who have specific needs that end up going to schools that we cannot provide. And because these are kids in our district, we are legally obligated to provide them things. And if we cannot do that, we will take you where you need to go. So for those who are listening and what is this about, that is what that is.
>> Uh President Wade, >> oh sorry, go ahead. This is the district does such a great job. There is so by law we have to accommodate to the youth by law and the district does such a good job with their homeless outreach and all that kind of stuff in compliancy to the law and I'm so grateful for the efforts that Miss Miller does etc for our sped department and all etc etc. So I just want to emphasize that that I'm so proud in all the research and learning that I've done. I really did not realize how much the district does in these outreach little things complying with the law. So, I'm really appreciative of that. >> Thank you, Vice President German. Um, President Wade, just so that you know, um, I lost my train of thought. >> The students that are served by this. >> Oh, yes.
So, um, whenever we have a student that requires private day transportation or any type of transportation, we always look in-house first. So we use contract CA agencies as a last resort in order to maintain that fiscal responsibility. So >> thanks for the clarification. >> But also uh President Wade and in inside of this document like on page 12, it gives examples of what uh what a ride might cost, which is important to know. I think I don't know if that's worth pulling up or not, but there's two examples specifically, District A and District B and the percent responsibility and stuff. So it's it's smaller numbers than the larger number that was just talked about. And just because we're approving that number doesn't mean we have to spend it all. >> Indeed. So she's good. I motion to approve the agreement for alternative transportation for private day students with everdriven technologies fiscal year 2027.
>> Second. >> That would be Miss German seconding. All those in favor? >> I. Motion carries five to zero. This brings future agenda items. Does anyone have any requests for future agenda items? >> President Wade, uh, I would like to, uh, have a discussion about the land lease and sale that the voters approved in November. Um, and of 2024. Uh, I I don't know how you want to present that, but I I would like to know what we're considering and when we're considering it and all that comes along with that. Thank you. >> Board member Van Hook, you stole my thunder. That will be an executive session at the next meeting so that we can discuss that. >> Okay. I motion to adjurnn this meeting. Second. >> Um, I'm going to give that to Miss Van Hook. All those in favor? >> I I >> I motion carries 5.

Um, so the first item on our agenda this evening is citizens participation. Um, before we get to opening it up for citizens participation, I just wanted to um set a little bit of a process in place and expectations um everybody kind of knows what to expect with with citizens participation. Um, as most of you know, citizens participation is a way for people to ask questions about anything um or make comments about anything to us.
Okay. Are you rolling? >> Beautiful. Good evening and welcome to the June 3rd, 2026 school committee meeting. Uh we are in Ashlin High School today and this is being recorded by WACA TV. At present, we have no members of the public here or in Zoom, but if a member of the >> Or was it just half >> How long were we muted? >> This is the second half of May and >> Thank you.

This meeting is being recorded for the Greenfield Public Schools. If any other person or bot is recording this meeting, please notify the chair at this time. I don't see any anyone. That's major. At this time, we're open for public comment. I don't see any public. I apologize for him. He'll stop maybe. Um, we need to because we are virtual, we need to take a roll call. >> So, um, member Dykeman >> here. >> Member Disorder, >> I'm here. >> And member Goodwin, I'm here. >> So, our agenda tonight has um really discussions of our goals. So, I seek a motion to um suspend Robert's rules of order so we can have a discussion about our goals. >> So moved. >> Second. >> All in favor say I.
of the board of ed meeting at 7:02. Would you please join us in saying the pledge pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all. >> Okay, thank you very much. Roll call. We are all here but Aaron is calling in. um on the computer. She's on a Google Meet. Uh so we are all present at least most of us in person, one virtual. Uh we will move on to and start with public comment. Um the board of education welcomes public comment.
ES at 6 p.m. Um, we have four out of five trustees present today. One is absent. And now we are going to adjourn to close session to have a conference with real property negotiators. And we will be back soon.
Roman Toy, Mr. Honda are going to speak, our board president, Miss Bassford, then we're going to go into some appreciation awards, followed by our team presentations, some dinner, then we'll finish up the team presentations, followed by the female and male athlete of the year. So, it's an honor and a pleasure to introduce our superintendent, Dr. Robosi. Thank you, Mr. Lane. This microphone sounds a little uh everybody hear me? Okay. Hi everyone. Is everybody uh late because of the valet line? The valet parking line? Is are we missing a bunch of people? No, we're good. >> Oh, good. Uh good evening, distinguished guests, parents. Everybody here tonight is here for you. I'm preaching to the choir here, but participation in high school athletics has the ability to change people's lives.
So uh first thing we need to do however is to reorganize the school committee. So I will open to ask if there is um a nomination for someone to become the chair of the national school committee for the 2627 school year or starting forward. >> I would move to appoint Mark Terry as the chair. >> Do we have a second? >> I'd second that. Mr. Terry, are you willing to accept? I am >> willing to accept. >> Okay. And we need a consent. Probably a roll call vote. Mr. Kendall. Yeah. >> I >> Great. Now I'm going to turn it over to Mr. Terry. Let him do the rest of the business. >> The announcement that you skipped right over, which is that we are being recorded. >> I did say that. >> I did. >> Thank you. >> First thing I did is I didn't You want to take your vote then?
And it doesn't have to be on the agenda, but um we're going to um limit all comments and questions to three minutes. And um it's citizens participation isn't an opportunity for a back and forth with the board. um if you ask a question I will um take note of it and we will um either put it on a future agenda or we will discuss sort of like the who's going to get back to people um in sort of the next steps for it. So um but it's because of open meeting law we're not able to really have a conversation about something that's not on the agenda. Um, and if you do have a question that for something that is on the agenda, um, you do have the option of waiting until we get to that agenda item if you want. Um, and then we can discuss it or, um, like I said, I'll take note of it and we can make sure that we talk about it during that section.
Uh reports and presentations include warrant approvals, superintendent report, consent agenda, approval of gifts and donations, minutes of the May 13, 2026 um school committee meeting and then reports and to adjourn. So uh first thing we need to do however is to reorganize the school committee. So I will open to ask if there is um a nomination for someone to become the chair of the national school committee for the 2627 school year or starting forward. And we need a consent. >> Probably a roll call vote. >> Mr. Kendall. >> Yeah. >> I >> Great. Now I'm going to turn it over to Mr. Terry. Let him do the rest of the business.
>> Well, we were just muted for that. >> Okay. >> Just a minute. >> The first half. >> Okay. >> I don't >> It does >> Like the first two weeks of May. Never mind. Just ignore me. I'm a hot mess. >> Actually, I we are having technical issues because >> record, too. It was not showing. So, um Why is this doing this? This computer is being very weird. Like if you notice our audio is not lighting up. So, It does, but it's not right now. Okay, now it is, but during all of that it wasn't. Hopefully audio came through. You know what I'm going to do to check it. I'm going to turn on our Okay, where are the captions? If we show captions, then this way we will get to see that it is indeed working. Cuz we are having technical difficulties today.
