Stoltz I'm sorry I got your email thank you I haven't had time to reply yet but you've been on my to-do list and and and so I and I think the concerns I know a lot of you were disappointed I think the concerns had to do with it being a budget amendment outside of the budget process and also that the new council is just coming on board and so that some of those process concerns but I just sort of wanted to tell you all that there's a lot of enthusiasm for the Office of Sustainability and innovation and the exciting work that they can do and collaborating with U of M on their new plan and and I like dr.

stoked refers to being a disrupter slash advisor and I think there's a huge appetite for the and I think people are looking forward to the communications that can come out of the office and helping all of the departments of the city improve and get up to speed and the role model that we want to be so I'm happy to take any questions on that but I think the good news is is that this is just the beginning and a lot of the momentum that it was created this month is going to be used for all of us going forward and so that's just what I wanted to say about that and if anyone if that wasn't clear or if anyone has any questions I'm I'm happy to hear that Mike yeah with all this enthusiasm what was your vote on this because of the my vote was no on this as you may recall and that was partly because of it being a budget amendment and the new council coming on board and my understanding is that the voters spoke on August 7 when they elected this and they would like for the new council to look at how we do this but I want how we do our sustainability and innovation but I I want to reassure everyone that my understanding is there's a huge appetite that we do this and do these things and we just want to do them in the right process and after a more thorough discussion so it's I believe its back on the agenda for November 19 so I know that new council avens I speak with them daily they are getting ready for that discussion yeah I think 15th was disappointing to everybody here that voted affirmatively to support that funding amendment I was certainly quite disappointed I postponed it so that it wouldn't wouldn't be struck down in the hopes that the incoming council would perhaps feel a bit differently and we could perhaps muster eight votes but I'm not confident that eight votes are there I would just remind all of us to continue to advocate for this you know the work can't get done without people here to do it the the appetite to do this if we're not going to fund it then we don't really have an appetite to do it so I think to continue to call all of us out at Council for our inability to get together and act on this is fair I think it's something that the community has expressed considerable interest in I'm very interested in the listening tour that the Energy Commission is talking about when I talk to folks this is you know this an affordable housing or the two most important things that I hear and we have not made any progress on either of these things and it's frustrating and I'm very hopeful that the new council will be able to work collaboratively to find solutions that work for everybody but until we actually you know put pen to paper and start funding this stuff you know we're just talking a good game so I think many people know my thoughts of this at least on the Energy Commission I missed some of the meetings because I was out of town when the resolution was being drafted in the joint meetings both the working session as well as the final one preceding the City Council meeting but what what I would encourage council to consider is it's in my view it's not just this resolution which is for fiscal year nineteen budget but you will be working on the fiscal year 2021 budget and in my view that will really reveal what is council's appetite for climate and I'll say environmental sustainability in general and if you look at funding the office of sustainability or its let's say roots the last several years the funding has been minuscule for programs so we've had a few people where we've paid for their compensation and with including benefits they've been able to do outreach and education but they haven't been able to do any kind of community facing programs or anything else so I think the new council will truly reveal how important it is how important environmental sustainability is not only in the vote next month but in the final budget that evolves and if they're really if it really is a priority then we will see that and what I'd like to point out and I've made or quoted these figures in other forums so for how do I say excuse me for if I'm repeating it here but the total city budget is roughly four hundred million dollars so that's general fund and all the other funds that's what total city expenditures are total expenditures for climate action is around and this is something that I've clarified with both Missy as well as dr. Stoltz as well as tom crawford climate action related spending including staff working on that is around five hundred and sixty thousand dollars which works out to 0.15 percent of total city expenditures so if we look at everything the city is doing and we look at the priorities my hope would be that out of 400 million there's more than 0.15 percent that is directed towards climate action given the impact of climate action on so many different things food security watershed and ecosystem health and so many other different things so my hope is is that in the council approves at least some of the expenditures for fiscal year 19 but then also follows that up with spending in fiscal year twenty and twenty-one and beyond because we can't have effective programs if we fund them with 1.5 million dollars in - in a two-year cycle and then it goes down to 500,000 and then it goes back up and down the kinds of things that we need to really do to address environmental sustainability in general and in particular climate action requires relatively stable funding so that we can have stable programs we can have stable staff and so on and so forth thank you for the opportunity to a pine on the subject anyone else have comments did you have anything else councilmember ban well I just wanted to I'm a big person on like communications and education and so as I stated during on the 15 that I really think and I'm not trying to scold people or or school lecture people but I really think that our pie chart that says the municipality is 2% of our community's greenhouse gas emissions the other 98% is is us and and what we do and businesses in the university and such so I think those sort of there's a lot of we don't need to be sitting on our laurels and waiting for for not that any of us were but I just I look forward to communicating to the public about how we can all monitor our own carbon footprints come to member Smith touch of anything else the only thing I was going to mention is chair was we will be considering at our next meeting adopting bylaws which include a requirement to adopt an annual work plan which will then mean we really need to adopt an annual work plan which we've done only sporadically in the past with that in mind a couple meetings ago I think I asked for suggestions from all of you on topic areas that we might address in the coming months and I got a few responses and thank you for those however listing all of them we end up with sort of a list of basically everything that we might possibly consider which is of limited usefulness when trying to sit down and come up with a list of things that we might actually do so I think that was probably the wrong question to ask so tonight I'm going to ask if everyone could just think a little bit about particular actions that the Commission might take in the coming year things that we might specifically tackle I think we've already heard a couple possibilities tonight as far as the Allen Creek situation you know if everybody could just give some thought to specific ordinances that we might tackle specific policy changes we might recommend in the coming year and funnel those to me that we can talk further about things that we might do but really like to see us make some substantial progress in the coming year and in particular I'd ask if we can think about things that would improve the metrics behind our 16 sustainability goals they could be great if we all look back at those and see where we're at and try to come up with some ideas it would start those numbers getting moving in the right direction and I think we'll have a good year ahead if we can do that next item is a report from staff dr.

Stoltz do you have anything we have a lot so sorry to do this at the end it feel bad excuse me just let you know we awarded a gold award from the Michigan green communities for the commitment that our council made to 100% clean and renewable energy for meanness operations it's a beautiful poster in my office if you'd like to see it we also just wanted to call out how happy we are for the University of Michigan moving forward with their commitment to pursuing carbon neutrality and I think that's extraordinary we look forward to partnering with them and we have been reaching out to the University to explore opportunities certainly great leverage and I can foresee a future in which we similarly make a such a commitment and then unlock potential together I also wanted to let you know that you may remember Emily mentioned we had one of grants to bring in an equity advisor to look at our programs and we have started working with dr.

Toni reams at the University he's already scanned the work plan that you have seen and it's gone to Council given suggestions he has signed off and helped us really think about how we implement that to make sure the needs of our most vulnerable populations are front and center his next task is to look at our 2012 climate action plan and identify missed opportunities and we're gonna be using that and you'll get a report he's gonna we put it in his work plan to come to you and share what he has found through that we also have asked him to create a process that's replicable for other departments so they can similarly start thinking about equity and how it integrates into the work that they were doing so we're pretty excited about how that unfolds and I would say when we think about sustainability for us it's very important that we're people centric and remembering those living on the margins so that that's pretty key for our staff just some kind of random things all over that stuff shared next year that we're part of something called the urban sustainability directors Network it's about 240 municipalities that are really actively pursuing sustainability and it looks like next year's meeting is gonna be in Detroit we're pretty excited about so we're gonna try to steal them over here to Ann Arbor show some of what we got bring in some thought leaders and so stay tuned you're gonna see I hope a lot of community events with some of these folks doing really great things around the nation we also have been asked by peers to host them a group of cities have reached out based on our rental housing program and you may remember in the work plan we've got an opportunity we'd like to pursue a green rental housing program where we try to make all of rentals as efficient as possible without raising rents for again our vulnerable populations and we have were able to think about that because we have a really strong rental housing program and so others who want to do something similar like a green rental housing program they have to set up a rental housing program first to do inspections and make sure those positions are or those offices are staffed and operating and so we actually had a group of cities reach out to us so we're gonna put in an application to host them and I'm pretty excited so good job for all of our colleagues and community services they're doing great work we also have two proposals I'm getting like I'm at the halfway point did you agree to proposals into something called the Innovation Fund which is through the urban sustainability directors Network one is to explore resilience finance facility and the thought there is resilience as the climate continues changing how are we going to fund the massive amount of work for storm water or for heat mitigation I mean where's that money gonna come from and so we've got a national finance person who is a city person by trade who's working with us on that proposal so we raise our hand to be guinea pig working with our finance department to figure out what that might look like and then we put in a proposal for some seed some additional seed funding for resilience hubs and this is a little tricky because we have to demonstrate we're committed to a resilience hub in order to unlock this extra funding but we're gonna proceed and this isn't the work plan Figment has questions let me know you heard the budget amendment was moved to November 19th and we are preparing a short executive summary of our work plan that we'll be sharing with Council especially since we have so many new council members stepping forward and it outlines the greenhouse gas reduction potential of every measure which we had the cost of every measure the cost per ton of co2 and then also of other benefits so is this an equity driven project is this a project that has water quality benefits etc so that'll be a short summary and will obviously show that with you in the public just to kind of promote the work Lane Bryant Community Center is moving forward with a six kilowatt PV installation and by the time you meet again it'll be on so we have helped finance that and we're pretty excited on September 17th we sent our strategy for the hundred percent clean and renewables for city operations to council and that was well received and so now we're running at that to try to get meanness cooperations off is closed we can to zero emissions as possible just to point out though our work plan the bigger thing that we went to council for is for mostly community programs community facing programs so this is something we're working on very much internal and then to sort of calls for those who are interested there's something called the National Climate Assessment that is released it has to it's mandated by the federal government to come out every five years and they are about to release the next one we expect it to have very little fanfare incredibly little fanfare from our federal administration there was a chapter a science chapter that's like the build into this that was released on Friday at four o'clock and we expect this to be a very similar kind of release because they don't want to draw attention we would argue to climate change so we are raising our hands to host a really big launch party because we have a lot of authors in the area so if anyone wants to help me make a little splash and draw some attention to climate change in the state of the science would welcome that help we don't know when it's going to drop because it's being really kept it's very tight to the chest it's gonna be December January but we're mobilizing some folks and then the last opportunity actually comes from the Energy Commission and there are subcommittees as commissioner mirskiy mentioned and they have offered if you want to serve on one of those subcommittees and help advance things they would welcome that so if you are interested please let Jon myself or Josh McDonald know it's the easy ordinance so Evie readiness throughout the community is one the time of marketing and then the hundred percent clean and renewable strategy so if you're interested please that's all any questions for dr.

Stokes do you know of any news on the Gillman plume negotiations no I don't have any updates on that but I can certainly make sure it's um it's included in your next movie we're always interested and I think I'm that the plume that because it's in litigation and Commissioner Smith might want to weigh in on this but I think it's just in litigation chugging along in the background and we're not even talking about it we we've had a couple of close sessions so we can't share any of that information but it is the the discussions we understand are ongoing Thanks does anyone have any items for the next agenda they already have several things would anyone from the public like to make any closing comments please come forward and tell us your name and we'd ask that you can find it to three minutes but we'd ask that you can find it to three minutes my name is Kristen Hayden I'm a student at the University of Michigan and I've been in resident of Ann Arbor for the last 19 years so this is my town this is my home and I'd just like to commend you guys for the work you're doing but also ask that you continue to push as hard as you can because I'm gonna be living through this hopefully for the rest of my life hopefully to be a long time hopefully climate change will be mitigated as soon as possible and I'd also like to ask on behalf of the student groups that I'm part of that you consider students in your movements forward we're really interested in getting hands-on experience both politically scientifically with you guys working with the city of Ann Arbor and other community partners so I was talking with John he has my contact info and so if you have any ideas any thoughts I would love to work with you guys and so thank you so much that's all I have to say but yeah good work thank you any other public comment anyone have anything else come on so members I sent an email of the city administrator earlier today asking for a work session dedicated city council work session dedicated to climate change and local response you know by my reckoning and councilmember banister you might know better than I we don't have a free work session period until January which is unfortunate but I think you know that gets us set up for the run-up to the budget discussions it might be a very appropriate time to do that I'll double back and let you know what he says about that generally you know staff determines what's gonna be the topic of each of our work sessions unless we ask for something in particular so I'm hoping that we could dedicate you know two hours of our time to to having a pretty detailed discussion not just of the Office of Sustainability and innovations work plan but more to have some experts that we have access to here at the University come in and talk about what the difference our local actions can make in the broader efforts to mitigate climate change anything else all right thanks everyone will you're adjourned at 8:27 you

Ford was at a hearing today for the for the Supreme Court in front of the US Senate as she was going over the sexual assault allegation between her and Brett Kavanaugh both Kavanaugh and the second party deny all allegations federal officials are still investigating the situation a more important news there appears to be an alleged serial killer in the local area police say there has been three victims and they have reason to believe that it's a female killer oh my gosh who turned off the lights Cavor people gets the Leanback online we're gonna have to get this figured out immediately that's right go investigate this very suspicious son in the studio and someone turn off all the lights I did all the camera can go see them anywhere something suspicious is going on get to the bottom of this hello I'm Celine you hear me you still get have the lights turn out is anyone there I just make any sense that's right you know what this doesn't what the heck is going on here this doesn't make any okay first I'd like to welcome everybody here today that's actually here physically in the Performing Arts Center with us but we'd also like to thank your fellow classmates who are in the classrooms watching us being live-streamed welcome everybody and I want to give a special thanks to dr. Dozier for arranging this presentation and I don't want to take anybody's time here they have a very important message so I'm just going to introduce the panel Chief Judge Andrew Gleason judge Dan mg judge Hines rid off Judge John O'Gara a judge Chris Coker give him a mighty maroon welcome and then I'm going to turn it over to Matt judge Hines Rudolph thanks principal Martin so good morning how's the old oil s doing here well we're really excited to be here to give this presentation to you here today the worries of the World Wide Web we know that the Internet is so important to you in your daily lives and what we are here for today is just to talk to you a little bit from our world inside the courtroom some of the legal pitfalls that we see and so we hope when you come out of here that you have some additional tools that you can deal with the internet so I'm going to turn it over to a Chief Judge Andrew Gleason good morning everybody you know I knew I should have been in the plays in high school and then I would have known what these bright lights were that's my very first time in these bright lights and I can't see a thing I wish I could see all of you but thank you for letting us into your school day today I'm just gonna make a couple of brief remarks because we're gonna have a the program and we're kind of on a tight tight time schedule you know the first thing I want to say to you guys and girls is that you know you live in the greatest country that civilization has ever known and whether you know this or not you as a group of citizens enjoy the greatest set of rights and freedoms that any group of citizens that the world has ever known and so we're here this morning to emphasize that to you because we understand you know 40 years ago I graduated from high school so I was in those seats that you're in and we understand that you have dreams and aspirations of what you want to do in and with your life and we're here to tell you that we want you to succeed at that we want you to have the courage to pick up and lift up each other as you go through this this journey of life when I'm at my 40th reunion those people much like those that in this room with all of you are some of the most important people that I have in my life they've been my friends almost my entire life and that's the experience you're going to have and so when we talk about this bullying and the way that people treat each other and some of the issues and perhaps pitfalls that you may face what we're here to tell you is that you with these freedoms and these rights that you have you have choices you can be that courageous student that lifts up their fellow classmate you can be the one that says hey that's not right you shouldn't do that to a fellow human being we care about each other here at Belleville West we want each other as we go through this journey of life to have the absolute best experience that we can have that's what this is all about that's why we're here that's why we're so excited to be a part of your school day today so thanks and here we go Jojo Guerra well again good morning and thank you for having us here you do have that power right now you have that tremendous power I noticed coming into the school above the doors on the way out is the issue of bullying and the reason why it's such an issue and the reason why we're here today is the Illinois judges Association put this program together for because we were starting to see way too many cases where people your age and younger we're getting into a whole lot of trouble either texting or using the internet inappropriately so we're here today to maybe try to stop this into the future to talk and maybe reach just one of you here today one of the things that we realize from studies is that with bullying people that are bullied and particularly bullied because of your access to social Internet issues because you're surrounded by it people that are bullied often turn to violence sometimes that violence is against themselves you will see stories at the end of this presentation today of young men and women your age who turned to violence and couldn't take it upon themselves sometimes that violence is turned to your fellow classmates we see this and unfortunately you are that generation that has to live through the very real threat of school violence that's why the bullying issue is important that's why we're here today one of the first things we're going to want to show you today is a video that has been viewed I believe several million times at this point it was produced by a young man who was the victim of being bullied and I hope you will enjoy the video [Applause] [Music] we all knew what was going on we knew about the beatings and we knew who was doing it we knew who locked him in a cupboard and we know who sent him really bad tweets and messages but I think we all expected somebody else to do something about it I wish I could apologize to him now I would never avoid him but if you're not part of the solution it could still be part of the problem I think I'm being bullied right now but I can't be sure there's one kid in particular who tries to make me feel inferior in every way he knows how he sometimes throws stuff at me flex me in the head punches me calls me ugly and stupid he tells me he would beat me up if I ever fought back it's like his daily mission and that's just in school on the way home on the bus I get very bad text messages and I'm embarrassed to show them to my parents it is my daily mission just to get through the day it makes my world very small because that is now my sole focus just surviving everything else has fallen by the wayside it is very lonely [Music] [Applause] [Music] one time last year when I was in fifth grade there is a new girl in our class everybody made fun of her just because she looked a bit different and had a different accent to us one day after school I was walking to my next class with the new girl and then my other friend saw her and was like you are you hanging out with her she is cross-eyed and you might get sick of something I felt so bad for her because they made her cry in the Carter the worst part of my school day is lunch somedays I can sit wherever I want but then without any reason I'm told I need to go find another table they say go sit at the losers table or go sit with the ugly not knowing is the worst not knowing who to sit with and launch her on the bus it changes everyday they constantly abused me both physically and emotionally [Music] when I get home from school I go to my room and cry as I get more alerts on my phone about the things they were saying now a kid from my same grade is making up rumors about me on the Internet some of my other friends think I'm a bad person because of what they are reading on Facebook fati stupid simple whalebone Ariel whose nurse Lucy died dork and a lot worse I want to tweet what the threats just scare me my phone now scares me school scares me the bullies are faceless help [Music] [Applause] you have to believe that good people who are willing to help you are around you just have to find them one afternoon on the way back to my locker I noticed this kids getting booked in the hallway his stuff went everywhere and I could tell he was humiliated and upset although I didn't know him I went back and helped him pick up his stuff I felt really grateful and said that we should hang out the hallways were a cool place in school I have fun and meet up with friends but there's these shady kids who hang out in corners one day I was walking into class and they tripped me up into the class my books flew everywhere and the whole class was laughing someone I thought was in my math class came over and picked up my books took them to my desk it was a very cool thing to do wouldn't it be awesome if everyone was like that now my tweets the snapchats look like awesome dude friend pal amigo cool football nice hey mango great in the morning when I head to my locker I see my friends that give me a high five I am sad that I have to share my story but I know it'll help others in my situation [Music] in the United States over three million students are victims to bullying every year bullying can be physical sexual verbal or emotional in 2016 it's almost impossible to guess how much of this goes on after school on facebook twitter kik poke whisper tumblr boxer vine or Instagram my dad told me that when he was a kid the bullying would stop at 3:30 every day I told him it's not like that anymore they can get you 24/7 they can get you anytime anywhere and it's happening to you you have to tell someone if you're doing it just think about this that it's easy to be nice as it is to be mean and manners and respect to cause nothing our school years are short but the days can seem forever if it's happening to you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] well we're here of course understanding that bullying is part of this but we're here of course today to talk to you about the Internet the old-fashioned name the World Wide Web right and it's all throughout the world so we know that whatever we do whatever footprint we leave whatever social media footprint we leave whatever we do can go throughout the world now there is a special word that we use at the courthouse for any text that you send any email you send anything at all that you do on social media that word begins with the letter e does anyone have a guess as to what that word is evidence everything you do think about it this way every time you send a text every time you post anything it's evidence and you know what else it's permanent and it goes on and we can find it you are not gonna hide it it can't be done away with there's this thing called the Wayback Machine anybody here this website you can actually they take a picture of the internet every day they can go back in time and try to find things that you may have attempted to delete they can find the FBI has forensic experts that look things up on your phones your computers and whatever device you're using things don't go away they're permanent and you can't erase them and they go throughout the world we're here to tell you today a little bit about how ill annoy law might apply to what kind of trouble you might get yourself into if you don't think that everything you do is evidence new details on the arrest of those two girls charged with using Facebook to taunt and bully their 12 year old schoolmate until she killed herself police are now looking into charging their parents too and ABC's Matt coven has latest on the case from Bartow Florida good morning Matt good morning George those girls just 14 and 12 years old now that 14 year old is waking up in this mosquito infested jail this morning she'll be here for another nine days until she's arraigned locked up by a sheriff who now says he's investigating her parents this morning a community is reeling from the failure to prevent the suicide and what police say was a bullied twelve-year-old girl Rebecca said two girls 14 and 12 years old arrested charged with felony aggravated stalking notice the age of those two girls 12 and 14 that's your age and even younger our point by this is kids can even even kids that are 12 and 14 can get in trouble you can be charged with a criminal offense for this type of behavior your age is not going to protect you there is such a thing called the st.

Clair County juvenile detention center you can be held there it's like a jail for juveniles there's also such a thing called the juvenile Department of Justice of the state of Illinois it's essentially a prison for juveniles for people under 18 and you can be held there if you're sentenced there you could be held there for an indeterminate period of time but you have to be released before you're 21 so you can be held there if you're 14 or 15 until you're 21 years old that's a long time so there are there there is consequences for this type of behavior even for juvenile offenders as Judge o'gara said earlier the other thing we want to stress to you is keep this communication you send over the internet via social media is not private the whole world has access to it and again criminal charges can result for this kind of specific behavior so these types of words can be threatening or can result in criminal charges words that are deemed to be harassing bullying or threatening or intimidating and it doesn't matter read this text message you effed up this time dude chill you are dead it doesn't matter what the original sender of the message is the one that said you are dead it doesn't matter what they think those words mean what matters is what the receiver the guy that said dude chill what matters is what a reasonable person in his or her shoes believes that message means that's what the legal standard is for determine whether a crime has been committed in this instance or not so think about it if you received the text message that said you are dead what would you think what do you think that's a serious threat yeah you wouldn't you wouldn't take it lightly there's no context behind those words you can't tell from those words whether the person that senate was kidding joking laughing whatever you can't tell so if you got this you would take that seriously you would think that really is a threat one of the weird phenomena that we're starting to see in cases and it's going on throughout our circuit are people that setup aggravated battery they're setting up fights and they're videoing them on their on their phones they're are egging people on to do this than to taking it taking video of it and posting it online now when you're doing that you're as accountable as the people that are in the fight there was a case in Clinton County a few years ago where there was a fight they've been drinking all night right before their graduation unfortunately from high school there was a fight there was one punch thrown that killed the other person in the fight if you if you hit a person in the right spot with the right force you can take their life and end up in one of them ended up in juvenile court one of them ended up in the tenshun center-right which isn't mosquito-infested but Judge Coker what's the what's you've been to the detention center yeah the the thing I always like to point has anyone here toured the county jail I see some of you raising your hands I could see one of the things that I didn't realize at juvenile Center and the jail is the food so it's bad enough that you're in there and it smells and you're locked up with some crazy people but in order to accommodate all the different religions they can only make one thing and it's turkey loaf and does anyone here have any baby brothers and sisters yeah you ever changed their diaper it's about what it looks like and it comes out in a roll and if they may say we're having steak tonight its turkey loaf they may say it's hamburger they might put a bun on it but it's turkey loaf and it smells so badly most people when they first go in won't eat it for days in fact if you saw the scared-straight that had the county jail the producers of that took back some of that turkey loaf to Hollywood and they have a worse food in the nation contest we won I guess that's something to be proud of unless you have to eat it right let's talk about underage drinking posts okay if you're dumb enough to do this number one think about it this way if you're dumb enough to post a picture of yourself drinking a beer or or doing a bong hit or whatever dumb thing you might be thinking and doing now that stays permanently on the internet right we can get ahold of it and let's fast-forward you're applying to college you're hoping for a scholarship and the school realizes that you are stupid enough to put social videos of yourself out there doing things that are illegal okay your chances aren't good that and getting that scholarship potential employer they can look back and see that you again you're dumb enough to get post pictures of yourself on social media judge em gee can you tell us about a case that you were familiar with so it doesn't even have to be that you're dumb enough to post pictures of yourself I'm from a small town in Washington County Ashville is the town that I'm the judge in and we've got a high school there that's got about 600 kids and it our whole town could fit in this school it's not very big but there was a party about three or four years ago during the football season and it was a bonfire type party outside and there were kids there and they were drinking beer and some of the kids were football players and there was a group of football players sitting around drinking beer and somebody that was at the party walked by him and took a picture and posted it to their Facebook account of these football players drinking beer now some of you may be athletes in this room is it against school policy to drink and use drugs yeah so the school of athletic director saw this Facebook post and suspended the boys that were the football players for four or so games the rest of the football season so those kind of things can result and remember those boys didn't post that somebody else that was at the party took the picture and posted it so everything you do you've got to be aware that somebody may be videoing you doing it or taking a picture of you doing it so that's why you can't do anything stupid because you never know who's watching this next portion with child pornography this unfortunately is really becoming a real problem not only in this area but just all throughout the state and what we're finding on is this is the scenario I'll give to you so we were actually at a school judge Hill guaranteeing we're about to present and an instructor came up to us and this was a scenario boys walking down the hallway has his phone gets a picture from his girlfriend and it's a lewd photo and you know what I'm talking about in terms of a lewd photo guy walks next to him sees the phone screen shots it and then apparently went to the cafeteria had airdrop on and everybody that had that got that photograph and what we're here to tell you is that that picture or that phone is child pornography that's a felony and if you take that picture and you send that off that's what we're referring to as distribution of child pornography and throughout this presentation we'll explain to you the legal ramifications of sending out that photo in the lengthy video posted live on to a woman's Facebook account on Tuesday at times the captors mention the incoming president this case was out of Cook County the girl that set this up the girl that invited the guy over there who got beat up and tortured for about four hours she took a plea deal last spring in Cook County and got eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections eight years in prison the people that were beating on this guy and harming him during this are now looking at probably six to maybe as much as 60 years in prison for this notice they put it on Facebook live they probably figured all it'll just go away it's just going to be broadcast and done it became evidence is one of my favorites it wasn't lost on us that when we were showing you that video clip and they were putting up the various apps you were laughing and the reason why you were laughing this program was actually designed in January of 2017 and already many of the areas that were the kids were going at that time you don't go there anymore and so who here does not have a phone Yeah right that maybe two people who who uses an iPad on a daily basis here yeah raisin desktop computer you old like me still use a desktop okay how about laptops absolutely come on raise them you're not under oath you use them what about a gaming system absolutely every day what is it fortnight or whatever so here they are who uses this what's this right you guys still use that what's that yeah you've been snapping all morning what's this is the one you guys use pic is that why you guys were laughing yeah we figured what's that all right who tweeted this morning outside the president anybody else okay this is an interesting one Joe Joe Gary always corrects me where was a set Valmeyer solo girl Joe Joe Gary and I are presenting in Valmeyer this pops up and she I say what looks like a calculator she says our own own judge we left that's where I hide photos from mom and dad this morning investigators in Colorado or seeking search warrants for phones they confiscated in a school sexting scandal police say students in Canyon City collected and exchanged hundreds of nude photos secretive apps helped them keep the images hidden from parents and teachers when she was betrayed not by technology but by an ex-boyfriend who allegedly leaked her risque pictures she trusted this person and then the person ended up showing everyone not just in the middle school but also in the high school and like the whole town knows about it so there are no secretive apps right this became evidence and the whole town knows about it let's follow it through our court system for a moment okay let me tell you what our main focus is to begin with I had a case when I was still a lawyer some years ago small town over near the Indiana border guy is out in the woods a young 16 year old girl goes back into the house she and somebody else are hooking up I guess the guy goes back in later and he decides it would be funny to take up-close pictures of her cuz she's laying there with not a stitch of clothing on he sends those pictures to his friends they send him to another set of friends and then that set of friends goes up to that girl and says are these you she had no idea that that went on so I am here to tell you and I think every one of these judges would be here too you today this as well our focus in our courthouse when we're talking about pictures like this are is primarily and first and foremost with that victim that girl did not sign up for that or authorize that but we can watch how this whole thing evolves it gets sent out it gets sent to friends it gets sent to teachers her mom and dad knew about it as that young girl in the other video said the whole town knew but let me jump in here from not just a legal viewpoint because there are a lot of legal issues and consequences that come from that behavior but I want you to think about this Belleville is a small town what reputation you developed throughout your life is going to be really important to you when something like this happens it not only happens to you but it happens to your mom and your dad and your grandparents and your brothers and your sisters and into a certain degree in extent to your friends to those peers that are sitting next to you so when you engage in that behavior and it might it might be something that that you didn't intend unintended consequences of that behavior become something that stick with you they that may be a reputation that as I said when you hit your 40th anniversary or your 40th reunion everybody remembers that person because of some story that that occurred like this so as you're thinking about engaging in that behavior just think about your reputation think about how that's going to impact you not only you but everybody else that you care about and love about in your life this is an example of what we were talking about earlier with the harassing words this is an actual charge out of Kane County Illinois up by Chicago that the defendant knowingly and without legal authority through the use of electronic means use a Samsung tablet to send multiple messages via text message including on the victims Facebook account that she was going to kill the victim and go after her family causing the victim to fear for her life and safety again what matters is what the victim a reasonable person in the victims shoes thinks that threat is and this this threat through electronic means it's a felony if you threaten someone through electronic means it's a felony every time a 16 year old from Mason High School described as a straight-a student is accused of threatening to shoot up the school WLWT News 5s Kristy Davis is leading the way with the hotline that led to the students arrest the high school junior allegedly made the threats via text messaging it was students in that group text who sent out the first alert to Mason High School officials while the rest of his classmates went to school this 16 year old stood in front of a judge charged with a felony count of inducing panic the charges stem from a group text sit on Sunday night the text messages that were considered threatening had an indication that there was going to be or could be some shooting up of the school Mason police did search the students home but say they found nothing to indicate that he could have followed through with the alleged threat because the threat was made towards a school this student is being charged with a felony reporting from Mason Kristy Davis WLWT News 5 in court the students attorney said that his client has a 4.0 grade point average is on student council tuturro skids and wants to go to an Ivy League school we know smart people do stupid things every day 4.0 grade point average wants to go to an Ivy League school tutors kids and he's on student council he made a threat later on he said I don't have any bombs or guns at home it doesn't matter we know people do it and we see it time and time again here's the guy that threatened to shoot up the school and then about an hour later said I was just kidding about an hour after that he and his dad were in jail this happens close to home we know this is going on where people send out threats they think they may be kidding this is Cahokia this just happened last year this year earlier this year also Anil Fallon charged with making threats it just was in the paper the other day people are charged with making threats they have to be taken seriously and they will be who's charged whoever sends the message if you let somebody use your phone if you're dumb enough to do that they're gonna at least question you do you think the other person's gonna say well I didn't I actually did it Johnny did it's it's not Johnny it's it's actually me no you might be on the hook so don't let people use your phone we know they're illiterate wences there are fines we could put you on supervision but Judge Rudolph likes to talk about this what about the last thing that's on there can the judge actually do that sentencing believe it or not loss of your phone and computer privileges as part of sentencing we can ban you from the internet and how do you say well how can you do that well we have a probation officer someone that monitors your usage on the internet and if you're found to violate that then you can get even into more trouble than you're in already so we know you guys use your phones on a daily basis and that's one of the provisions that can be done to ban you completely for the internet our next slide also points out a girl was sentenced up in Mattoon to the Juvenile Department of Justice basically an indeterminate term the judge explained to her because of the threats you made to the high school you can be held up until you're 21 if that's what they end up deciding to do there are consequences three students at a high school in Burnie are facing charges in a case of sexting and cyberbullying why they are charged with the felony distribution of child pornography and as Judy Wang reports if guilty the charges come with severe ramifications it is not over yet gurney police say the three boys are not the only ones who did this and they will likely make more arrests school administrators set parents an email about the issue parents and students are now wondering just how far this investigation will reach all of the students involved are freshmen at Warren Township so plain campus some students agree what happened is a crime Lake County prosecutors charged the three boys with felony distribution of child porn investigators declined to release specifics only that it involves the texting of sexually explicit photos of a female classmate and cyberbullying notice the aged freshman if we go through what could happen here how is this committed well if you're if you're taking pictures of one another and you're dating and you're in love and you send the picture on to whoever you're dating well what happens after you break up right they've got the picture and they can send it to anybody they want so we're talking about if they snapchat of a picture you can always create a screenshot of anything because everything is always permanent right if you forward the picture of somebody who's under the age of 18 depicted in a lewd manner naked glued that is child pornography those were freshmen in high school charged with child pornography let me add if you if you actually are in receipt of that in possession of that picture and that persons under 18 regardless of whether you were involved in it you potentially have possession of child pornography what if the person who's in the picture wants you to have it what if it's a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship and the female takes a picture of herself and sends it to you and wants you to have it it doesn't matter it's still child pornography the person who's sending that picture to you is not of the age of consent they cannot consent to that picture and you're you having possession of it it is still possession and potential distribution of child pornography let me add a lot of times we see if you ever loaned your phone to somebody I meant or some kids and at a mentoring meeting might want one of my mentees I said where's your phone and he lent it to people guess what people do when they borrow your phone they go to your pictures and send them to you themselves or post them on Facebook from your phone happens all the time again that's distribution of child pornography that's years in prison the other the other one other thing I will add is I have a friend and she has a thing a 14 year old daughter and somehow she is a way to mirror whatever snapchats her daughter gets its sent to her wonderful female friends sent out a as Judge Rudolph called it a lewd photo of her since she's Nate half naked so I'm out to dinner with her with her mom in Arizona and she says can you believe this she goes this she got it on snapchat and she said so I screenshotted it which people do all the time and I said to her Wendy she goes what do you what she goes let me show you and I said good lord no I said that's child pornography don't she was going to send it to the other girl's mom I said if you send it that's distribution of child pornography I've got a story to kind of go along with something judge Gleason said earlier so there was a girl that I know from my home town that was probably in her early 20s at the time and she took a topless picture of herself and sent it to her boyfriend just for their private pleasure or whatever eventually they broke up and the boyfriend got mad at her for whatever reason and sent that picture to everyone on his contact list in his phone one of the people in the contact list list happened to be the girls grandma so the grandma received a topless picture of her granddaughter and about half of everybody else in the town did too and that's what we're talking about with reputation how embarrassing would that be to you if that was you in that picture you didn't intend for that picture to get sent to your grandma or everybody else in town you didn't want that to happen but it did these kind of things this kind of behavior can ruin your reputation for a lifetime to this day when I see this girl around town she's married and has kids now the first thing I think about is remember when that picture was circulated involving her that's gonna follow her for the rest of her life so please be aware of what you do about these additional consequences right loss of participation and school activities we've gone over that we've already told you about the phone how that can be taken away computer chimes you just talked to you about your reputation really there's very few things that want that we want to keep sacred and your reputation once that gets dinged it can get dinged it's tough to get it back privacy you lose privacy when you get charged with criminal offenses you'll have to go to court to deal with it future career choices look about those football players in Nashville guy screenshots it they get in trouble football season short eight ten games you miss half the season it could affect your ability for future scholarships and importantly criminal record right can be with you for the rest of your life we will take questions afterwards if anybody has time we know that this is going to go on we know what's happened we know it will continue our hope is that we've reached one of you we now want to show you some stories and it kind of comes full circle back to this issue what happens when somebody gets so overwhelmed and so bullied that that they their whole world crashes in on them you're going to see a lot of young men and women your age and please I want you to know this these are real young men and women I met one of the moms of one of these young ladies this summer this is real [Music] [Applause] [Music] on behalf of the Illinois judges Association on behalf of Superintendent Dozier and principal mertens your Chief Judge Andrew Gleason Circuit Judge DN mg Judge John ogre and judge Chris Coker and myself we want to thank you very much and we hope you enjoyed the presentation [Applause]

it is a Friday night under the lights one final time here in the 2018 regular season d20 football air Academy the cadets taking on the Lancers of Liberty and welcome in everybody josh al alongside Brian German and Brian these two teams it's been a long season for both but both an opportunity to finish out on a positive note here in 2008 I think especially the Liberty Lancers playing at home they haven't won a game yet this year but they've had some close battles and they got they've got 13 seniors on this team this is the final time they get to suit up and play in their home field and you know they're gonna be playing for pride and on the opposite side Air Academy they come in at 6 and 3 on the season they also lost a couple of big battles against their Pikes Peak League opponents the two best teams in this league one lowest and rampart but they're right there in third place so they would like to solidify themselves as in third place with a 3 and 2 record in league play well Liberty knows what's ahead of them tonight as we take a look at some of the keys to the game tonight for the Lancers again a team that has struggled struggled record wise but turnovers they're gonna be key tonight Brian definitely coach Eric Gossage told us you gotta win the turnover battle and he's got some defensive players who can make some things happen so he's hoping to force some fumbles they've recovered 9 fumbles from the opposition this year and got 6 interceptions they also want to be solid on special teams maybe that's blocking a kick if they can do so if not it's making changing the field by nice long punts and they also want to execute without hesitation or does that mean that means you know exactly what you're supposed to do on any given play and you just go out and you do it well for Eric this is a team that comes in averaging 21 points a game they run it for 184 game's the yards a game we could see a heavy dose of number 41 the senior running back Kyle Pope tonight Kyle Pope has a four 100-yard games coming into this one he's close to a thousand on the year I would imagine he goes over that tonight so yeah you'll definitely see Kyle Pope getting the ball a lot from quarterback Bo powers no the run game certainly key tonight for the cadets its Air Academy Liberty the opening kickoff when we come back you back here t20 stadium is we are set to kick it off on a Friday night final game of the regular season for the Liberty Lancers the home team and the cadets of Air Academy Josh Hal Bryan German the Air Academy cadets deep to receive Cole Montoya on the far hash allama or Cole Edmondson on the far hash Eli Montoya and it is Montoya taking it inside his five might Toya across the 15 to the 20 25 and he's still on his feet a nice return and good starting field position here for the cadets on their opening possession of the game sorry Josh we mentioned in the in the open to this show that the K that's gonna have a lot of offense a heavy dose of Kyle Pope that's their senior halfback he's got nine hundred and thirty seven yards rushing this year with eight touchdowns wouldn't be surprised to see him get the ball a few times on this opening drive yeah Pope can run it and he can also catch the ball eight touchdowns on the year and it is Bo powers to senior quarterback the captain on this team he'll give it to Pope on the opening carry in the game 1st down and then sim out across the 40 yard line for the senior Kyle Pope yep cop opened a good job by this offensive line up front Josh Lewton Cole ACK jack Newsome Christian Jones and Aidan Diller those are the guys up front those are the guys that make the holes for Pope to run through and they did a great job that time opening up a huge hole Brian we talked about in the pregame the balance on this team they averaged 148 e4 yards of the ground and power sounded a shotgun and movement and it's gonna be encroachment you know coach Scott grinde told us before the game that cadets don't be cadets I thought right there they might have gotten called for jumping but it was Liberty that encroached early on so now it's going to be first and five for air Academy now this is an aggressive Lancers defense 13 sacks on the season keep an eye on number 44 up front Kade Hulett check so first and five now and this is going to be Pope up the middle spitting off tacklers he's out across midfield and down to the 45 market maketh the 46 and once again Air Academy moves the sticks here on their opening possession give cowpoke 23 yards on two carries so far that's 11 and a half a pop or something like that my maths not that great but he's doing a great job finding holes that time he cut to the outside and cut back up inside where the hole was and got a named yard game the first down out of the gun now Pope flanking Bo powers on the left side and in Bossier to the near side as bad wound this is Pope picking his way through traffic in right now that Liberty defense on its heels certainly our Elisha mom Maldonado Kaede Huma Czech Jaden Smith up front the linebackers having to make all the tackles so far it and I keep your eye on Chris Smith Logan schlepped tre Kelley and Jacob waters and linebacker those guys had the the most of the tackles almost 200 between the four of them there for the Lancers for the 13 seniors on this Liberty team playing in that line backing core out of the gun and they'll give it right up the middle and again Pope running through the Lancer defenders he has another liberty for rather air academy first down it's another 11 yards for Kyle Pope and like I mentioned coming into the game 63 yards were needed for him to get to get the thousand on the season I tell you what if he keeps running it they haven't given it to anyone else he keeps running it in they score touchdown he'll be there on the first drive he certainly is on pace for that Liberty a team that has surrendered 36 points a game trying to stiff it up here on its opening possession powers under center Pope sets in motion he'll get it off to the right side and slips one tackle and powers forward for a gain of about three on first down how about you Josh but if I'm Kyle Pope I'm a little tired he has been the workhorse on this drive six feet 175 to senior and air Academy trying to close it out with the victory here tonight if they went tonight it is their best finish in terms of record in 11 years that's saying something coach Kearney I'm sure letting everybody know that they're making progress out of Air Academy high school there's powers to get the Pope again little sidestep and good play up front by Liberty and leading the way now the Lancers able to stick their nose in there and come up with the tackle I was actually idris Hickman the strong saftey who came in on a corner blitz that time it got poked got him for just a one-yard gain so it's gonna be third and a little bit long here for Eric Adam so an opportunity here for the Lancers defensively this is powers out of the gun and the give right up the middle and how about Liberty comes up with a stop here on third down and inside the 30-yard line decision coming up here for head coach Scott guarendi of hair Academy you go with Zack Martin thing is Zack Martin is here both your place kicker and your punter but it looks like the candidates are gonna go for it here on fourth and three so in the backfield for air Academy Ethan Martin the junior running back powers under center and he'll fake it boot it out to the right side Pass caught and passed the first down marker and then some out of bounds just shot a 15-yard line great execution and powers showing touch on the move got it - Ethan Martin there we talked about him he's the younger brother of Zack Martin and look at that nice touch by Bo powers and Martin standing bounds gets a nice block on the outside for the cadets and the drive is still alive so Martin's touched it the last two times let's see if they come back to poke this to Kyle Pope line up directly behind Bo powers here inside of eight to go in the opening quarter powers that give the Pope in the field big play right there and losing yardage is the senior running back Kyle Pope and Liberty so tough up front Logan schleps shooting through the gap that time gets Pope does a great job and the Lancer defense trying to stiffen right here you mentioned that there are big play defense they've had some fumble recoveries this year some interceptions some sacks but they really need to come up big here with Air Academy threatening now second and 12 first tackle for a loss tonight for the Liberty defense it's bad moon in motion to the near side they'll give it over to Pope Pope shoots through the hole gets inside the 15 yard line so nice gain there on second down by Kyle Pope is he breaks it to the outside and how about the job terms of defensively by Liberty and running him down as Makayla Salas Salus so third and six now for Academy Ethan Martin directly behind power Sears powers now the gift of Pope Pope inside the five he's here to the end zone furred Air Academy touchdown that's a great job of blocking by the cadets up front look at them all coming up on Pope and telling him he he did a great job there that offensive line Cole a cup front Jack Newsom Christian Jones they're all making big big moves there but Christian Jones the biggest one is he came across on that trap and blocked the last man coming across to try and stop pile Pope he gets in for the first touchdown of the game so Kyle Pope puts the cadets up six to nothing and the extra point pending here oh and they'll go out to the right side on the move and he's going to be stopped just short of the goal line is Air Academy jarred Clark and Liberty gets it done but the touchdown is good Kyle Pope has the cadets off and rolling the short touchdown scamper and Liberty hit a hole here trailing six to nothing and here's that defensive stand Clark on a broken play stopped just short the Lancers hold up six tonight think 613 to go here in the first quarter packed with more from d20 Stadium after this you a a long can time-consuming drive for air Academy here and they're opening possessor to the game and Kyle Pope the senior running back on senior night finishes it off with the short touchdown run six to nothing is our score as Zack Martin set to kick it off for the cadets unofficially all but 15 yards of that drive came via the legs of cowpoke out across the ten across the 20 and Liberty good return here on their first touch of the football game that is Malachi Salus Salus can show some spark he's got 360 rushing yards he leads the little answers in rushing this year but Musa Pinay is who they typically get their big plays from he's number two the wide out for the Lancers almost 500 yards receiving for Penn a his lancer offense pretty ballots 100 yards passing about 100 yards rushing about 91 per game and speaking of rushing how about the opening carry the game here for Liberty that's the Elias Alexander the junior running back and he has a first down for the Lancers Elias Alexander hasn't had a ton of carries this year but boy he showed some speed on that one right there getting through for the first down his Liberty team averaging just under 200 yards he came on offense a quarterback the senior grant Suggs out of the pistol and he'll give it off to Alexander again and staying behind his blockers is able to plow forward for close to 8 yards on first down maybe coach Gossage has found something here in Elias Alexander a good job up front by all those men on the the Lancer frontline talked about it from Chiara Kelly Jaden berry Anthony J Jack shaver and Christian Tucker doing a good job the big men up front making some nice holes so far for Alexander a shave it goes to 25 Barry number 77 goes to 60 the senior guard here's Alexander again trying to cut it back and nobody fooled for the cadets a great job at the linebacker the strong safety position Ethan Martin coming up to make the stop for air Academy so now you got a third and short here we'll see what Coach Gossage decides to do with the this is make-or-break time really for the Lancers you gotta get this first down just keep moving the ball and hold on to it run some clock down six nothing keep an eye on the tide in number 87 Chris Smith big play target at six to 210 they'll pitch at left side and go backwards trying to get it out to Salas and he loses yardage and now decision here inside their own territory fourth down in five and out comes the punting unit here for the Lancers and Musa pene will be back to punted now he's dangerous he's got some speed we'll see if maybe they don't try a fake here it's you know fourth and five maybe he's been given the green light if he looks up and sees not enough defense or they're backing off he can take off he's got speed he's got a pretty good leg as well 38 punts averages 31 yards of punt so we'll see how it plays out here on their opening possession of the game is Penn a stands at its own 28 yard line and laundry on the field is that delay a game called against Liberty so back him up five so I would expect them to kick now after that I don't know if maybe they took that on purpose when the wind was blowing it was at Penney's back we'll see if he can get a foot into this one Cole I've been sent back to receive for the cadets standing at his own 25 line drive punt and overhead fair catch called for and that's where the cadets will have it to begin their second drive of this football game Bryce Kisuke was right down there in his face so a good good job by Cole Edmondson to call for that fair catch and a good job to hang on to that football so now let's see cadets really didn't have any mistakes until after they scored a touchdown there when they had a bad snap and didn't get the point after you know it was a heavy dose of Kyle Pope on that opening drive we'll see how it plays out here with 339 to go to the opening quarter that's Martin in motion to the far side they give it to Pope slips a tackle and then spun down to the backfield great job of pursuit by that Liberty defense and again that's number 10 on the for the Lancers I'd grease Hickman who gets through there and makes a great tackle against Pope so the Lancers may be picking up on what the cadets are doing that's a great stop puts him in second and long right they're really getting penetration to the backfield it starts up front that front three with Maldonado Smith in whom lechuck so now second and ten here for the cadets powers the gift of Pope Pope with room right up the middle he's got a first down of n sum Kyle Pope having himself a night he certainly isn't with that carry right there he went over a thousand yards on the season look at it again look at the nice blocks in the backfield and hope just runs he knows where that holes supposed to be and when the holes there he hits it and he hits it hard that's another 10 yards and he's up close to 70 on the evening so Kyle Pope scored that opening touchdown of the game for Liberty or rather for air Academy and his team on the move again at their own 45 that's Martin in motion there's powers that give and poke moving the pile he'll pick up four look to be nothing at best instead a positive game on first down it's what you like about cowpoke just keeps his legs moving even though guys are hitting you in the left or right right up the gut you got to keep those legs moving and something's gonna happen he gets positive yardage they're out of something that could have gone for a much less we've seen a heavy dose of the run tonight for air Academy is that clock tick tick tick winding down here in the opening quarter but this quenette team can throw it as well how about the reverse they'll go inside and broom the speed by Edmondson and he's drop down inside the 25-yard line that was a nice counter play you've been given Pope Pope Pope all night long this time you give it to Pope who gives it right back to Col Edmondson and finds a hole on the opposite side there you see him getting some nice downfield blocks right there by number 33 for the cadets Ariane BIR down in front making a good block and Katie that's again in business inside the 25-yard line so they have had their way offensively tonight in terms of running the football and here they are first and ten at the 24 here's Polk ooh nothing that is a great play right there for the cadets down low inside again okay it's number 40 this time good job for the Lancers on the big stop right there that is Kayla Caleb Shelton's who came into the game they've got some depth at that position so second and ten now inside a minute to go in the opening quarter here's pope again and he breaks free right up the middle it is there all night long at least initially between the tackles Pope a ton of success another look at it here just look at he's just running right behind blocks that's all he's doing and the Lancer defenders are just hanging on for dear life Steven poreless the cornerback came up to make the tackle on that one third and short Perry Academy we are inside of 30 seconds to go here the cadets trying to score for the second time of this quarter it's Martin line up at the backfield along with Pope to give the pope Pope gets a nice block for Martin and he is down at about the 10 yard line clock stops they'll reset the chains 14 seconds to go in the quarter 82 yards on the young evening for mr.

Pope is a good look at him and here's another look at the play from down low just barreling over people and Lancers gonna get tired of dragging that guy down looks like we're gonna take a quarter break we're gonna flip to the other end of the field well one core to the books Center right now Air Academy with the lead they scored their opening drive look at a go - four - we'll bring you that conclusion here of their second drive right after this you're watching d20 football you Josh shall Brian German pack here at d20 Stadium is a kid had severe Academy leading liberty-6 to nothing and Air Academy looking at firm or thrown out free t-shirts to the Lancer fans over here they're gonna start getting crazy Josh look out on senior night here and first and goal from the 10 Pope around the wide side and I'll tell you what Liberty's defense they have really tightened up here and now after a short gain on first and goal the Lancers trying to dig their heels in once again and looks like Pope's gonna have to come off the field as helmet came off down there so what do the Kate have to do when they can't hand it to cowpoke given its Ethan Martin twice today and every other snaps been to Pope Martin five touchdowns this season two on the ground there's powers under center here for the cadets and they'll give it off to Martin over that left side he'll pick up a couple inside the five mark it down to the four so third and goal for the 4 yard line here at the six to nothing lead and Kyle Pope getting set to though it's gonna check back he is back into the football game number 41 there is Kate at spray bottle I don't know what the say in the huddle every time I get all right give it to Kyle break okay give it a break that's what it seems like anyway it has been a heavy dose at number 41 play-action boot it out to the right side on the rod pass cut the goal line touchdown he's able to power across the goal line that's Ethan Martin his fourth receiving touchdown of the season that's a great job by Bo powers and hats off the Pope watch the fake right here that just walked enough time for the Lancer defense them to realize to get Ethan Martin open Kazuki's there with the two apples corrosives there but touchdown cadets and now a chance to tack on the extra point this is Zack Martin and that one is good so Air Academy two possessions two touchdowns and the kid that's lead at 13 adopting here with 10 56 to go in the second quarter Air Academy Liberty on a Friday night back with more after this you're watching D 20 football you now two possessions two touchdowns with a cadet severe academy they the first one on the ground a second one through the air beau powers connects with Ethan Martin and it's 13 nothing gay that's really I've done this all season long they've also been giving up points but so far tonight they stiffened Lancers have only had one chance started a good Drive but just couldn't keep it going we'll see what they do this time on the far side of the field football and it looked like the cadets were able to pounce on the pigskin Salus came up with that ball got hit he's got he's holding his back as he comes up off there but just a great job here stripping the football watch him again coming in and that's the K that's right there stripping that football that is a great job by number eight for the cadets that is Aaron Horne the senior linebacker down on coverage he stuck his left arm out there and just ripped the football out of salus cadets pounced on it well Eric Goss it's one of the keys for Liberty we talked about the pregame win the turnover battle right now - one play action they'll put it out to the right side down the seam passes caught inside the five into the end zone for another Air Academy touchdown one of the guys are the best names in football brady bad wound out there just the big the big tight end down the field nice job again by powers with the play action and look at bad wound wide open and he didn't even he just like almost walked into the end zone now bad would his fourth receiving touchdown of the season and the key that's rolling here with ten 43 to go in the second quarter an extra point away from making it 22 nothing this kid at team six and three coming in two and two and Pikes Peak play and that is good 22 nothing Air Academy back-to-back passing touchdowns they are rolling in the second quarter more cadet Lancer football would we come back here on 20 TV you well three possessions three touchdowns for the Air Academy cadets and right now out in front in a big way 20 to nothing here over Liberty on the lancer senior night short kick they'll pop it up and it is down there at the 30-yard line so big possession obviously for Liberty Brian is they just need to try to find to get some kind of momentum here in that second quarter it was a good heads-up play by Steven borla's who's out there the cornerback playing on the up hi there on that return team that's called a sky kick lots of teams employ that to try and see if the teams off guard but borderless did a great job they're recognizing it catching the ball and then just taking a knee because he probably wasn't ready to return it but this is pretty good field position for the Lancers we'll see what they can do with it so Suggs out of the gun they'll rush five he'll dump it off juggled and a nice play on the catch that could have been an incompletion but instead it's Salus able to stick with it and come up or check that that looks like number 32 on the reception Kyrie Kelly I'm not mistaken yep that was it was Kelly who made that and a good a good job keeping his eye on the ball may have taken may have taken his eyes off the ball there for a second but then was able to make sure he grabbed it with both hands before heading forward so Kyrie Kelly the reception makes it second and three he leaves the game and now a flagged out of the field we got offsides against the cadets that's gonna give them a first down two Lancers so liberty the beneficiary they'll move the chains here we're gonna see a lot of players in tonight of course senior night 13 seniors for the Lancers it's been a tough year but no this is a team that has played through a lot of injuries and no doubt want to try to finish out a positive note tonight here's grant Suggs see your co-captain and he'll give it right up the middle this is Elias Alexander and Alexander a nice pickup on first down didn't really impress with Alexander he's running hard tonight he did a good job on their first drive getting them to a couple of first downs and here you see a good look from the end zone he's just finding a hole cutting it back up inside that's that's we're gonna find most of your your yardage if the defense is over pursuing and you cut back you're gonna be able to pick up some big yards in there and he got well half of what do you need it for a first down so Kelly in he'll flank Scruggs on the right side and they're gonna go to Scruggs right up the middle or check that Kelly right up the middle Kyrie Kelly showing the power inside the 40-yard line what a run inside this time just pushing back a that defenders running over them and getting the first down Kyrie Kelly for the Lancers he goes 511 to 30 and certainly a player you can't get away from or get away with tackling up high there's Kelly again and this time he's pulled back baby pretty bad wound said not this time big fella I'm taking you down but Kelly he's having his way out there there's a good look at the big man there and the K that defense on their heels a little bit here as the Lancers are moving the football dad wooded Diller combining for the stop on our place of second at 8 here for liberty you're approaching the 8-minute mark here in the opening half Suggs that give right up the middle to save us Salus is gonna be close to first out about a yard shy it's gonna be third and short here inside of the eight-minute mark I'll tell you about these three running backs this three-headed running back system for the Lancers working well tonight Salus is done well Alexander and of course Kelly and they all bring a different dimension Kelly can run hard and run you over Salus has got a little bit of speed in there and Alexander's got a little bit of both till date the senior save us to sophomore Elias Alexander the junior they'll fling it out left side a little bit of a screen play and that one was underthrown yeah Musa penny they had set up a little bit of a screen there with Alexander in front of him and just didn't quite work out as Scruggs didn't get enough air into the ball that's a ball you got to get rid of quickly and able to put it on a line and not able to that time was the senior quarterback grant Suggs so fourth and one now and certainly for down territory you would expect to see that most of the night trailing 29 thing is Liberty trying to chip away at this deficit and that's gonna be close to a first down it looks like from the initial spot he should have it like Salus did a good job that time running behind Kelly who ran up in front of him into the hole and Salas gets a first down or they're gonna measure this one it's gonna be close looks like a first down to me I already called it - I tell you what Brian it is good to see Liberty obviously down 20 to nothing this is a team showing a lot of heart a lot of fight as they have all season the record may not indicate it as we take a look at the measurement here told you by at least the length of the football Cup it was a first down Josh why do we even need officials right right Eric Gossage pleased here with this Drive is his team looks to cut into this 20-point deficit this has been a fast-moving opening half a lot of football on the ground on the rollout he'll fire deep better the end zone touchdown what a great throw and an even better grab by number 10 idris Hickman he comes in there and for a second there I thought this ball was gonna be intercepted watch it again Scruggs back to pass he had penny open on the left but he decided to go for it all and that is a nice catch Hickman caught it look to the silence and wait I'm not in the end zone had to go three more yards but a great play for the Lancers now Suggs on the boot able to roll out show the arms straight and I Treece Hickman finishing with a touchdown grab his second of the season and Liberty is on the board the extra point blocked but nonetheless the Lancers find the end zone here they needed to drive in a big way well they certainly did you were talking about it a little earlier Josh you were talking about how this team is still fighting there oh and nine on the season a lot of players would just like give up go home what do I have to play this last game but the Lancers have come out here on senior night they've got a good support from their crowd lots of students here of course their families are gonna be here and even though they were down 20 to nothing they didn't give up they're pushing it they did a great job there on that drive and I love the call there at the end letting Scruggs air it out maybe not the smartest pass in the world that might have been one where a coach Gossage was saying no don't throw a good pass great pass right no question about it and it reminds you of some of the old gunslingers you would see that you know obviously ad libbing throwing it up but that time they needed a play they got a play and it's coming from the senior Idris hitman so Brian now this this defense has a chance is Liberty they've been opportunistic this year at times 13 sacks and they bid good in the air in terms of takeaways against opposing passing attacks yeah we'll see Bryce Kazuki's going to kick it off here we'll see other coverage team does his back to receive Cole Edmonds Edmondson and Eli Montoya end over end this is going to be Edmonson from his own 13 straight ahead and a good tackle his Edmondson is wrapped up right across the 25 yard line who makes that tackle but idris Hickman he's having himself a heck of a game offensively and defensively as he came right right at Edmondson and just took him down first man there now it has been a team that is executed at least in that last series one of the things Eric Gossage talked about for liberty is hey he wants his team to be able to execute without hesitation and certainly in fact on that final touchdown pitching catch for the first scoring drive of the game for liberty so air Academy now operating inside their own 30 yard line here on first and 10 and they'll go right up the middle and this is Martin Ethan Martin big gain just shy of the 45 for their getting seven yards nine yards that time 15 yards Ethan Martin and again hats off to those big men up front for the cadets Christian Jones Aiden Diller Jack Newsom coal act Josh Luton all doing a great job their young per a lot of experience up front lewd and a senior at a junior Newsome a senior Jones a junior Diller a junior Martin in motion they'll give it to pope off the left side blocking in front of him and what Brian it seems like it's almost an automatic four to five yards every time the cadets touch the football on the ground and now an injured Lancer down at midfield and I believe that is Calif Shelton's who's come in and done a good job at linebacker here in this game for the Lancers so we will take a timeout injured Lancer on the field it's 20 to 6 air Academy with the lead back to the 20 Stadium in a moment you back to action here d20 stadium and the injured Lancer able to work his way off the field that's caleb Shelton's good to see caleb walking off under his own power yet the training staff have them over there on the sidelines quick hitter right up the middle this is Martin again and Ethan Martin laying the wood another first down to the 45 yard line of Liberty but we got a flag on the play and it looks like it's gonna be holding against the cadets so back it up tin and it's gonna be second down and I'll call it eight that first run first down run negate it there it's gonna be second and 10 here for Air Academy this cadet team six and three coming in two and two and for a Pikes Peak play this has been an outstanding group of seniors and his head coach Scott grinny said it has really changed the direction of the program their efforts right down the seam six pretty bad mood the big tight end got down there and he was open and this is a perfectly placed ball by powers that's one Brady fat moons gonna want back my dad used to tell me if you touch it you can catch it he certainly touched that one now powers put it on the money and bad wound not able to haul it in so from another Air Academy it looked like would be touchdown to third and 10 okay that's they have had their way on the ground and we'll see what the cause here at third law and a timeout taken by air Academy with that we will take a break 5:30 6:00 to go here in the second quarter Air Academy leading Liberty 22 6 you out of the timeout d20 stadium third and tenth here for Air Academy leading Liberty 22 six had a final game of the season here for both these teams quarterback Bo powers in the gun here for the key Annette's straight drop you'll look over the right side throw it down it's picked off interception here by Kazuki and he's tackled inside air Academy territory Bryce Kisuke coming out with a big Tod pick great job by Kaczynski not sure where powers was going he had Edmondson open and he looked like he was going for Pope need to get a little more air under that football the Kisuke we told you this Lancer defense is opportunistic their coach told us they want to win the turnover battle well we're back at one-to-one now they lost a fumble but they got an interception so Bryce kazursky his second pick of the season in the Lancers in business looking for back-to-back touchdowns here on the last two drives his quarterback grant Suggs now straight drop he'll take a shot a lot of air out of that ball a great job here once again Scruggs makes the quarter buyer the his head coach panic a little bit so much air under that football but penny just runs under it the kid hats weren't looking at where the ball wasn't great job by penny to come in and make that catch and pride it looked like mid number 24 they're the defensive back for Air Academy it looked like it went right through his hands and great concentration by Penna Pitt a so 5:18 to go from go and they fumble the football lose some momentum jump on the football here so it's gonna be second and goal now from the 12 yard line that's a tough one they're just a just a tough snap tough exchange there Scruggs couldn't quite handle it drop it did did a good job just jumping on that football but now they're kind of behind the eight ball see what they can do so Scruggs twopenny the Big Shot sets up first and goal here they are 2nd and goal now from the 11 Scruggs now out of the gun behind him is Alexander the pistol formation that give to Alexander right side he's got blocking he's inside the 5 touchdown what a great run by Elias Alexander found the blockers and then took on the speed to purse through that whole drug a tackler into the end zone there he is look at them again nice spin move to get by one and then drug down into the end zone the tackle a little bit too little too late for air Academy's Jason sakakeeny and the Lancers look like they're gonna go for to any Lysol ik sander his third rushing touchdown of the season off to the for the extra point and of course Air Academy newest one earlier a chance to cut it to seven little the speed that may be yes that may be the quickest place kicker you will ever see Bryce Kisuke taking that pitch from Grant Scruggs and just fine in the corner I didn't think he was gonna make it but the speed of Kisuke got him how about tsuki showing the speed and liberty now within six with 4:30 to go you talk about a swinging momentum early part of the second quarter it was all Air Academy boat powers at Brady bad wound second can second have touched down through the air and it looked like Liberty was in trouble but they have answered back they got the turnover two straight Turner or two straight touchdowns and here we go it's a six-point game I'll tell you what the resiliency you you were speaking about it when this team was down 20 than nothing talking about the Lancers and how they were gonna stay in this game stay competitive and they certainly have done that and right now they smell hey maybe you know we might be able to win this thing no question about it their ability to throw the football it's been oppressive here in the second quarter so Kazuki set to kick it away little pooch kick short kick one hop and taken there by horn and nearly stripped to the football he's able to go to the ground and that's where air Academy will have it about the 37 yard line here with 426 to go in a second it's good job by Aaron horn to take that down and make a nice return and do a great job holding on at the football the Lancers were going after at that time it's trying to strip the ball but horn did a good job hanging on to it we'll see now out of the cadets answer as Liberty scored two straight touchdowns to get back into this football game well the running game it's been by committee Kyle Pope Ethan Martin pair of upperclassmen here this time is Pope off the left side he's in trouble and he did well just to get back close to the line of scrimmage he's going to be about a yard shy loss of one it's gonna be second and 11 third time's the charm there for the Lancers he made one man miss to man miss but Logan shlep was there and got the got the tackle for the Lancers and stopped him behind the line actually second in a little more than 10 so air Academy punch counter punch they're looking to get up off the mat after giving up two consecutive touchdowns to Liberty pressure Pope up the middle stiff arm and he's able to fight forward and it's just great second and third effort there by Kyle Pope the Lancers though you're looking at him now they're trying to rip at that football pope does a great job but watch this once one Lancers got him they're just trying to rip that thing out of there Kisuke but Pope is just hanging on tight and he gets a nice 7-yard game Pope a strong back big frame six feet 175 powers give it off to the right side Pope again and he's stopped short of the first down not gonna get there well we'll see that's a pretty good spot Brian yeah Jacob waters I thought had him behind the line we're gonna have to maybe measure this one it's a big hit by Watters and number 57 there Elijah Maldonado they're gonna go ahead and give them one first down Kyle Pope extra effort pays off and they move the sticks here under three to go this half is flying by and how about the points combine 34 points here and still more than two quarters to play Pope again the purse spins he's inside the 45 and that is another first down stop the clock reset the chains here we go Air Academy you know we've seen a ton of the run game tonight but Brian this is a team that's been effective throwing the football this season over 150 yards passing a game haven't seen a whole lot of the era attacked tonight out of the cadets well it really sets up their passing attack with the running and it you can lull a team to sleep if you keep handing the ball off poke poke poke a couple of play actions for touchdowns his Pope off to the right side out of bounds clock will stop and to your point it was it was Martin it was Pope and then beau powers to Ethan Martin play-action put him up 13 nothing and then they went to the big tight end Brady bad wound to go up 20 to nothing so certainly run to set up the pass and that's certainly been the mo tonight for air Academy coach Scott grin you gotta be happy with the way his team is bouncing backs here they had a turnover they give up the second straight touchdown but now they've got a nice drive going there's powers to get the poke look at the patience by Pope he will be stopped short of the marker today's just defense by Liberty little answers are really grabbing the football they had more of the football than they had cowpoke right there and folks not giving it up he's got such a strong hold on the ball he's gonna go where it goes a whole lot number 32 tonight that's Kyrie Kelly on senior night trying to go out with an upset win over air Academy third now and three clock is running inside a minute 50 to go and a half and they'll go back inside Edmondson and he's popped down but a first down that's that little counter play that they ran before and got about 15 yards on because Edmondson was able to pop it through there this time he gets just enough for a first down but it does keep the drive alive or excuse me they're gonna say he was short Wow like no it looks like a timeout timeout clearly has been called with 143 showing on the clock but to your point Brian it looked like the initial spot was a first down and be curious to see if we could get a replay on that as that fall looked to be across the marker and now they're gonna bring out the chains yeah I thought it had Benson had it clearly but you know that's okay the officials now in the field are closer to the action and we are certainly closer than any camera so he may have seen his knee down let's see he may have gotten it anyway we'll see oh it's it's probably about an inch short that's why it was linked in half it's a link and a half thick needs to eat an extra mil right well no doubt about it this is four down territory 143 and if Eric counter he's shown one thing tonight is this running game has been virtually unstoppable certainly as and I wouldn't imagine they would go somewhere else but don't be surprised if they go play action here either Scot grimmy might take that chance with 143 left here in the first half hope the running backs give to Pope and he is behind the line powers for that's going to be a first down what great initial contact by Liberty but Pope is his done all night lon keeps those Lakes churning another first down here for air Academy he was bound and determined to get that first down and he got it and then some he had the first down with the initial hit but then he just kept going got another three yards out of it he's gone over 100 yards for the fifth time this season in over a thousand on the season so a great job a capo just over a minute to go and a half pope again spins Sandy's inside the 30 but the clock is moving yeah that clock is gonna be a factor now down to a minute and here we get a timeout called to by Erik Adam E and if I'm sticking that's their second of the half so one minute to go with that we will take a quick timeout 22:14 Air Academy on the move you're watching D 20 football here on D 20 TV you one minute to go here the opening half Air Academy driving up 22:14 Josh out Brian German d20 Stadium Friday night final game of the regular season for both these teams both powers under center for Air Academy quick pitch left side this is Kyle Pope he's got room he's got the quarter and he's got another first down Wow I'm surprised they didn't throw a flag on that one is he was tossed out of bounds like a rag doll let's watch it again Pope gets a nice pitch here and some good blocking on the outside and then he's just thrown down by Kyrie Kelly oh excuse me that's Salus with the big throw down there Malachi and it's a first down for Air Academy good job getting out of bounds that play took less than eight seconds Josh now 52 seconds on the clock here in the opening half of this football game they'll fake it drop it off this is Martin avoids one tackle powers forward inside the 20 they got to go 43 and Counting and now timeout called and I believe this is the final timeout of the half for Air Academy should be the final timeout we'll see what Coach Grinde can come up with here I'm it'll be interesting I would imagine he wants to get this ball into the end zone for two reasons the first being of course it's gonna make it for a bigger lead the second meeting I'm not sure how much confidence they have in their placekicker to get this get this through the uprights we'll see ya keep in mind their kicker he's 204 this season as long as 32 yards but with the way they're running the football you have to believe they're gonna take a couple more shots on the ground and then keep an eye on Brady bad willing that run to set up the pass we saw him play acts a little booed action and bad weren't able to haul in the third touchdown of the game for Air Academy to put them up one to nothing in a second so the cadets going to work 41 seconds to go it's going to be second down and three football at the Liberty 13 yard line it's been a great game a combined 34 points scored 14 unanswered for liberty and air Academy looking for the endzone for the fourth time tonight powers flips ins right up the middle five touchdown into the end zone and how about the speed of Cole Edmondson Colette mincing the junior for the cadets that's a nice little play kind of on a counter there inside handoff to Edmondson he's just got some deceptive speed he hits that hole so quickly found a hole on the outside ran it through there and now the cadets have definitely up the lead they're up to 12 I'm gonna try and make it 13 here is Zack Martin little jet sweep action there and it's 26:14 extra point pending here Zack Martin the lefty it is good 27 to 14 the cadets with an emphatic answer Brian yeah that was a big time drive for the cadets the Liberty Lancers had all momentum on their side they had scored the first touchdown of the game got an interception big pass play down there great run after a mishandled snap that got him to touch down to get him to it in six but the kid that said hey hey hey calm down let's get back to our game let's hand it to Kyle Pope let's get Zack Martin a little bit involved in this offense excuse me Ethan Martin involved in this offense and let's just move this football they did just that and that was a great call they're getting the inside handoff to Cole Edmondson and all of a sudden they're back up by 13 well we've seen one thing from Liberty tonight it's been the resilience that bounce back ability down Twitter nothing they scored 14 unanswered and so nothing new for the approach for it Eric Gossage is team you have to believe it if they come up with a nice return maybe take a couple of shots I think the fuel position will be critical in terms of what this team does in the final seconds here we're by opening half what do i excuse me Josh quarterback grant Scruggs has no problem throwing that ball up in the air no question about that is Scruggs the long pass to set up a touchdown here earlier for liberty in that one is in trouble blown up inside the 15 clock stops with 27 seconds to go so to your point perhaps we see Scruggs take a couple of shots but if anything if you're head coach errick Gossage go to the locker room down 27 14 they would take that I would believe considering how this football game started in a 20-point hole I think the Lancers are talking to Salus there they wanted him to hand that ball to Musa Pennock on the opposite way they wanted to try the reverse there but I think Salus was saying he wasn't in a very good spot for me to give him the ball give it right up the middle this is Kyrie Kelly and the clock is gonna run out on this half now but a great half of football Liberty putting up 14 but it's here Academy on the road they come in they score 27 points are they opening two quarters of play and we've got a football game gohr to the half your score after two quarters it is air academy 27 and liberty 14 we'll take a break come back with a halftime show you're watching D 20 football on 20 TV you back here at d20 Stadium ready to roll here in the third quarter as we began half number two Josh I'll Brian German and Brian Liberty showed a lot of heart they trailed 20 to nothing clawed their way back cut it to 2014 margin but a big touchdown by Kol Edmondson late in the second quarter and that has their account of yep 27 to 14 kicking off to begin this third quarter taken around a 15 yard line and how about the position here for air Academy great hustle on special teams and Liberty we will start with the football at the 25-yard line and Kyrie Kelly is down he is hurt on the field in a pile out there they're gonna stop the clock and let the trainer's come out and take a look at him Musa penny wanted to get the ball that time I thought maybe he ran they set the wall up unfortunately hard-luck they're on the wrong side of the field a moose Afeni had a long way to go and wasn't able to get enough on that return but the Lancers will be in decent field position here at the 24 yard line entry timeout we'll be back right after this you out of the entry time out air academy on defense here leading 27 to 14 this is quarterback grant Suggs he'll give it off unto the right side and a cutback is swallowed up and the cadets all over that plate just across 25-yard line well Kyrie Kelly who was hurt on that return is being looked at he's got three trainers looking at him right now he was able to walk off under his own power they're gonna take him down to a bench and sit him down they want to see I think it's his knee or lower leg injury but that would certainly hurt the Lancers both sides of the football he's been running it well and making big tackles it's been a three-headed monster running the football tonight for liberty and a long throw on the left side dangerous pass and able to haul it in was moosa' penny penny has done a great job this year you said almost 500 yards in receiving for pene this year and he did a great job catching that one Scruggs put a little bit too much air under that one Scruggs been putting a lot of air under his balls tonight which fortunately have landed in the hands of Lancers well in Panay of course had that big grab early on in the opening half and that put him in touchdown position as they were able to cap it off on Elias Alexander touchdown run to make it 20 to 14 and not a lot doing there on third down and four this cadet defense we talked about their points per gate giving up 20 20 points per game but they're really sniffing it up has stiffened it up here in the early part of the third quarter is fourth doubt coming up and the punt team comes out for the Lancers Bryce kazoos he's out there you see Musa penny who made the catch earlier he's the punter remember he's a threat but back in this field position not sure he'd be given the green light to run and forth about four great job by the cadet defense they're stiffening coming up with bad one so pain a and over and kick get mitts in and he'll play it at the 35 across midfield stutter step he's inside the 40 what a return by Cole Edmondson Christian Tucker ran right by Cole Edmondson there I'm not sure if he thought he called for a fair catch or not take a look again Bennie gets a nice leg into this one Edmondson is right there and you see Tucker just run right by him like he thought he was gonna take that fair catch and a great job by Edmondson just getting that ball and going south or north in this case so that sets up good field position here as they have the football for the first time in the second half we're under 10 minutes to go already in this third quarter running back situation the lone running back is Kyle Pope Martin in motion to the near side that's Eaton Martha quick pitch left side of pope switches hands and pope does a great job after contact positive yards there something out and I think picked up four on the play that's your favorite stat isn't it the Yaak yards after contact and you're right Pope gets hit and it's like it doesn't even faze him he just keeps going we've talked how many times tonight about him keeping those legs moving and he stays upright as well and just leans forward and continues to get yards that's five more for cowpoke so Pope and company on the move here nine minutes and Counting here in this third quarter there's powers quick pitch Pope now hesitates has a hole spins forward and he is about two yards shy of another Air Academy first down and the K that's happy with this a up 13 they'll just give it to Kyle Pope and Ethan Martin all night long Pope as I said just lean forward there and get in another yard as he's taken down but it's third and 2 now see if the Lancers defense could stiffen up a little bit now keep in mind we're dead even on turnovers his Liberty fumbled away the football the first half and then Eric cavity threw a pick Kisuke came up with it for the Lancers so one turnover a piece and look at that able to surge forward after contact and I believe we're gonna have a measurement coming up here at 821 to go and the third quarter that's gonna be close they brought that ball quite a ways back and they're gonna say fourth down here Kyle Polk ran backwards that time fell on his back with the officials brought the ball back a little bit certainly four down territory for air Academy here in its position football 228 they're gonna ride up the middle first down and then some what a great job up front again Jack Newsome up there at center coal that Christian Jones at the guards Josh Luton Aiden Diller the tackles but those main three in the middle Newsome ekend Jones they made a hole for Bo powers he almost got through there you can see big number 64 jack Newsome leading the way at that center position so here we go first and 10 football 2:23 air Academy had lost two straight coming in but six and three overall try to finish out with their best record in 11 years little sidestep initially and when Liberty has dug in defensively and that's Caleb Shelton's coming up with the play Shelton's who was hurt earlier in the first half nice to see him back in the game and a big play he's made several plays close to the line of scrimmage were behind it there for the Lancers and this certainly gets the cadets off schedule a little bit it's second and nine run the football at will here tonight Bo powers quarterback Ethan Martin number 34 directly behind powers and they'll give it up the Pope reverses direction well he is shifty still on his feet and he's inside the 15 delayed handoff and Kyle Pope once again this time may have a it's gonna be third down but he was awfully close to picking up yet another first down to Ragan tacklers the entire way very impressive young man capo he has been a workhorse this season and certainly the case tonight the final game of the season here for Kyle Pope for both these teams the Lancers still looking for that first win here mm at 18 and right now they've got their work cut out down 27 to 14 third and short and Pope shakes one tackle and it's gonna be another first down here for the key that's just the presence of mind of mr.

Pope right there gets the ball started to go left and then just looked up that's what a lot of young running backs don't do they don't look up Pope certainly does he looks up looks for the best place to go and especially on a third and short like that he needed to get two yards for a first down he got five and right at this level you don't see a lot of patience at times out of running back certainly not the case for Kyle Pope this is a great job first and 10 now at the eleven powers quick hitter right up the middle and big hit out of the end zone for a touchdown that's Brady bad wound and his second touchdown of the night bad wound caught a pass for a touchdown earlier tonight this time he gets a handoff as a fullback right inside and didn't get a hit till he was at the one-yard line by Moosa penny and a lot more weight than penny as he goes into the end zone and okay that's open it up now trying to make it a 20-point lead again so Brady bad wound 11 yard touchdown run we're gonna reset it here it's 33 to 14 this cadet team now offside on Liberty and they Lynch it up on to attempt the extra point Zack Martin he's been good this year 12 of 15 coming in did have that one miss early on but his recovered nicely is a kid that's 33 points up on the board here with 552 to go in the third quarter high snap good hold kick is just inside that right up right 34:14 back to a 20-point lead here for air Academy cadets Lancers 552 to go back with more from d20 Stadium right after this you now Brady bad one capping off a touchdown drive for Air Academy they extend the lead 3314 here 552 to go and the Lancers they need some help they could maybe use that guy out there you can block with that shield ease guy on right down a field with that but right now focus on this return and boy that's gonna be costly out of bounds so they'll tack on yardage with 552 to go here that's one Zach Martin's gonna want back but the Lancers you know coming out of halftime the Lancers a little bit deflated because they've given up a late touchdown to the cadets but it was really the cadets who took control of this game here in the third quarter they stopped the Lancers three and out they took it right down and scored we'll see now if the Liberty can build something again remember they were down 20 in the first half and cut it to six they've got the ability to move the football through the air or the arm is senior quarterback grants drugs out of the pistol formation they're gonna give it off the tailback and he is hit minimal game maybe wanted to play Elias Alexander searching forward Tyree Kelly back on the field for the Lancers there he had a lead block on that one Alexander didn't have much to do so Salus comes back in for him Kyrie Kelly will stay in the game you mentioned that three-headed running backs we'll see which one gets it this time or maybe they open it up a bit second and 9 here final game of the regular season for both these teams is grant Scruggs they give to the up man and Kyrie Kelly nowhere to go with a football good job up front again by that Air Academy defense meeting him right in the hole look at big number 76 Josh luden and I say big how big is he that is a big man for the year Academy cadets you know it's that search up front and right now Air Academy winning the battle in the trenches they've dominated on the ground and here they are defensively forcing Liberty 3rd and 8th here high snap Scruggs rolls out to the right side pressured still on the run he'll throw a run concentration the senior receiver hauls it in good enough for a first down great job here Scruggs well under pressures gonna throw that one on the sideline Hickman kept both feet inbounds and came down with that ball you only need one in high school but what a great job watch the hand-eye coordination here and keeping his feet in Hickman Wow great job how about the composure grant Scruggs as well under pressure able to deliver a good strike and heads-up play by Hickman - no worries that to get beyond a stick and look out in a backfield and all kinds of white jerseys around for the sack Williams sakakeeny in here number 72 along with number 58 Aiden Diller doing a great job bringing down Scruggs on that one he had nowhere to go big-time loss on first down it's going to be second and 20 and grant Scruggs the senior quarterback he's giving it everything here at his final contest of his career here in high school now the gun he'll look left pump-fake pulls it down look out trouble again down he goes they're gonna throw a flag on that one for intentional grounding as the cadet defense came through their errand horn on the backside doing a great job busting through there the linebacker on the Blitz and he comes in and gets Scruggs it's gonna be law sit down on that intentional grounding lost it out back it up and why not a lot of plays in the book for this scenario third down and forever football throwing 18 yard line and they have to get out to the 47 yard line for a first down so do them out there Academy do the math oh yeah I'm sorry the 43 yard line so do the math it is forever just like you said third in 45 officially Scruggs pumps it implements a lot of air under the football and this is going to be picked off Edmonson again now perhaps as good as a punt but that's pretty good field position for Cole Edmondson and company is a flag down there at the 45 yard line yeah like you said Josh just as good as a punt he put enough air under it it was almost upon and Edmond sends the return man right there and there's a flag at the end of this play not sure exactly what they got if maybe it was a hold or an illegal use of hands on the cadets but the officials are certainly still talking about it there on the field a crisp night here Friday night a little bit of wind but not bad usually d20 Stadium we see a whole lot of wind tonight has not been a factor for the most part like to see elements not playing a role in this game is these two teams deciding it on the field and right now it's been Air Academy dominant run game and a defense that has been oppressive and how about this personal foul roughing the passer and boy costly mistake but it looks oh well they haven't marched it off yet house that should give them five first down yep this is the first time I've ever seen the chains moving back on a first down Josh that's new for me I've never seen it absolutely and you talk about furious no head coach Scott grinny has got to be beside himself had him third and 45 you pick off the football and personal foul just and that was way late because we saw him get rid of the football looked at the interception so clearly well after the throw was mean and costly mistakes so let's see if Liberty can take advantage Scruggs first and ten from his own 33 and they'll give it to the speedy save us he's a cross pit field it's a footrace and he's knocked out of bounds inside the 35 that was a great play nice designed play by Erik Gossage and company is the heir Academy had been pin him back their ears and coming after the quarterback and this is just a quick handoff Salus who out runs those rushers trying to get upfield and then he turns on the afterburners down the sideline gets a big hit out of bounds and they're bringing it back a little ways stepped out of bounds now for a first down but we have seen that play time and time again at so many levels now that jet sweep action and certainly a head of steam for sale OSes he's able to move it forward into air academy territory and they'll mark it at the 43 first and 10 now for grant Scruggs and company twins to each side quick hit her right side trying to get out there and make the block was the tight end Chris Smith and Inc complete presence of mind by Kyle Pope ferry thought it might've been a backwards pass I don't think it was anywhere near that but a good job by the K dad's defense Pope trying to get a defensive touchdown and that's certainly a ball you don't want to float in a ball that Hickman would like back needed to catch that football but hey creditor Academy in good position defensively and this unit now on second and ten his liberty with 336 to go works out of the gun jet sweep again and again ins ælis and he'll go backwards how about the play the little guy coming up with a big hit Eli Montoya the junior defensive back for the cadets and watch him later lumber on Salus right there Polk pulls him out of the way before he talks too much smack you love the emotion he plays with Montoya five six a buck 38 and loves to mix it up a lot of energy out of number one the junior quarterback now third and 11 [Music] timeout Air Academy as Liberty had all sorts of new people in on that formation and they coach Grinde says he doesn't want it with that will step aside 2:57 ago in the third air Academy with a 34 14 lead you inside of three minutes to go here in the third quarter Josh how Brian Chairman Liberty with the football third and long 11 yards to go at the football at their own 44 mother air Academy's 44 Scruggs looks left he'll throw it up he's got a man and that bold in is it drops the football great effort on a part of Musa penny not able to haul it in there's another look at its crux again lots of air into that ball pretty much up for grabs for anybody and Musa penny almost came down with that good job defensively by Michael Midkiff of the cadets to make sure he didn't come down with it oh those two have been matched up all night long Midkiff and penny and now fourth down and you better believe they're gonna go for it down 20 here with 250 to go why not nope Penny's calling them off so maybe they're not going to go for it Scruggs came off the field don't line up in confirmation we'll see ya keep an eye as you mentioned throughout this broadcast penny tremendous speed and got a delay a game with CES o'clock play clock hits zero and they're gonna putt the ball second time tonight that Lancers have done that I don't know if it's intentional or not but it does back him up and get penny a little more room to kick that ball call Edmondson the return man for air Academy Musa penny at his own 35 it's a good punt Evan said the fair catch and it takes a liberty bounce inside the 5 how about that down at the one-yard line give credit to those coverage guys Stephen Borland down there running like crazy to make sure that ball didn't go into the end zone he ends up getting the touch up on it and there's a nice punt by penny we talked about the sack total from Liberty this year as you can see it take a Liberty bounce and great hustle on it by that special teams unit so you want to flip the momentum in the game this is the opportunity here for Liberty they have them at the 1 this is a Liberty team that has registered 13 sacks under Center it's Bo powers there to give right up the middle and picking up one maybe two on the play as the junior fullback Ethan Martin cadets wanna be a little bit safe here I know it's a 20 point lead but there's plenty of time it's still two minutes left in the third quarter as this game is definitely slowed down that first half went by fast and things are slowing down here in the second half second out of 10 powers to poke right side pot turns forward and it's still driving those legs but he is maybe gonna get one yard it's a great job again upfront buy that Liberty defense they're stiffening here big hit right there by Kazuki coming in and then the rest of the Lancers jump in to stop him so pick third down here for this Lancer defense just sorry Josh this just shows you what a good punt can do you you've got air academy pinned down here now and they're really their options are limited here on third down no question about it rolling right powers he'll throw Kosinski comes up with a huge pick Bryce Kisuke that's his second pick of the night powers threw it right to him dangerous playing at backs fires for air Academy Bryce Kisuke his third interception this season first and goal from the five and we talked about it big play a sack or a turnover they get the turnover their second turnover here tonight Kazuki's second pick first and goal for the five and they'll go right to the ground right side out of the end zone one turnover one touchdown and how about this going for two with 107 ago 34 220 Salus with the touchdown once again he has some speed on the outside takes a direct hand off and it just beats the cadets to the corner nice little totes happen there in the end zone and the Lancers are back in this thing that big punt by Musa Penn a set up the interception by Kisuke now Salus is scored and liberty wants a timeout to think about this two-point play here they're down 14 maybe they just want to kick it yeah absolutely you called it obviously an extra point makes this a 14 point spread 34 to 20 here come out of the fields beekeeping right here at D 20 Stadium they'll be interesting to see I think Erik Gossage you know we said this team's oa9 coming into got nothing to lose and twice tonight they've been down like 20 points and I'm just I'm just excited for these Liberty players even these 13 seniors on this lancer team you know they haven't won a game this year and they may not win this one they might be over their senior year but I like the fight I like the fact that they're not giving up and they're continuing to stay and fight till the end in this football game and that to me says a lot about the coaching staff of this Lancer team in terms of the fight the energy that their team plays with an Erica agent company done a great job here record obviously it's been a tough one but here they are playing harder the final game of the season senior night 13 seniors trying to go out with a big-time upset and the extra point here the attempt by price Kazuki had to pick to set up the touchdown and now I'm trying to tack on one more high snap hold as down kick is good and it's a 34 21 game 107 to go here Liberty climbing back into this one back with more from d20 stadium right after this you Malakai Salus five yard touchdown run his liberty right back her to this football game trailing 3421 late here in the third quarter 107 ago is Bryce Kisuke and the interception to set up that third touchdown of the night and how about an onside kick and they didn't get it far enough nope and it touched a Lancer I thought although the officials have not blown the whistle yet that's gonna be cadet ball right there Brian you said it you know Gossage and company nothing to lose there Oh a 9 why not but that's one that Kazuki would love to have back you need to execute in that situation yep there you're gonna get a chance to do it again I believe or the nope they're gonna tack that on after after the kick so 5-yard penalty after that kick for the kick not going 10 yards and boy the way iconic air Academy has been moving the football the last thing you really want to do is give them a short field and this is definitely a short field so powers under center here for the cadets Martin Pope the running backs that give to Pope Martin a block and opens up a little bit of a hole here for Kyle Pope the senior back and he'll pick up almost 7 yards on first down again those guys up front Christian Jones a even Diller making holes inside there for the big Kyle Pope to run through 6 yards on first down and now the cadets had the ball so the clocks going to be running 39 seconds and counting here in the third Pope right side look at the patience stiff arm he has a first down inside the 30 powers his way out of bounds inside the 20 yard line they'll mark it out at the 18 Kyle Pope well you mentioned it earlier Joshi he has such patience he just waits for holes to open up and this time he's running to the outside and just generally deciding whether he's gonna cut it back up or cut to the outside and then when he makes this decision he turns on the afterburners and got about 10 or 15 extra yards when he did that there one cut and go plants that footed he's up the field for another first down 27 seconds to go first and temple at the 18 yard line Edmonson emotion they're gonna give it to the up man Martin breaks a tackle still on his feet look at the power draggling doc dragging tacklers inside the 5-yard line Ethan Martin look at that nice cutback right there and then more yak for you Josh yards after contact just making tacklers pay really was just a punishing running the football their blue-collar mindset out of this air Academy running attack and first and goal here do they get the play off before the air to the court or two seconds one second man in motion they just get it off right side poopy is in front touchdown it's the clock ticks to 0 at the end of the third quarter 40 points tonight for the cadets they've been scoring a lot of points this season they do it again tonight and this time Kyle Pope again the patient's on the outside and then busting through for another touchdown for Air Academy keep in mind the short field set it up set up by that onside kick attempt that was not executed by Liberty so extra point here coming from Zack Martin and that is good 41 21 the lead back to 20 now for the cadets we go to the fourth quarter Air Academy with the lead heading to the final stanza 41:21 air Academy with the lead as we start the fourth quarter of play Josh how Brian German and Kyle Pope what a show a senior running back for Air Academy his put on tonight Pope getting it done caps a short drive for the cadets Liberty now on the return a long way to go and the speed what a great job by Salas watch first he makes the Willie Mays catch before they pick up that a return right there he's caught that over the shoulder and then just turned around and just turned it on he ran by two cadets he ran right by Edmondson who might be the fastest cadet Salas with a great job got up and told him about it a little bit so great return great field position don't count the Lancers out let's see if they can cash in here his fourth quarter just under way grant Scruggs the senior quarterback here comes the screen and look out nearly picked off thrown right at the feet of Ethan Martin trying to get that to Chris Smith on the tight end screen right there and I think maybe Scruggs got a little bit happy feet there and threw it a little bit higher than he wanted to and off to the right three white jerseys chasing down Brandt Scruggs so here we go second and ten 11:42 to go here in the fourth 20 points spread running back is Elias Alexander out of the pistol give to Alexander waiting for the blockers and he's not going to get there how about pursuit from behind the speed of our yard bird the sophomore line back to sophomore linebacker he's got several more years to play here for the cadets and he just came through right like you said Josh with the pursuit Alexander was waiting for things to set up here's another look at it and watch number 33 come right in there and say you know what you're gonna wait I'm not going to I'm gonna tackle you behind the line of scrimmage out the gap tackle for a loss third and 11 now burr 54 tackles coming in this season third and 11 for down territory here for the Lancers down by 20 they'll swing it backwards the catch Salas and he's going to get back to the line of scrimmage but no more actually he's going to lose about one it's gonna be fourth and 12 and big hit there and that's your man again yep Brady bad one last name like bad wound you've got to be able to play a little I mean he has done it all to my offense defense catching touchdowns been impressive tonight he certainly has four to twelve now inside at 10 to have to go Scruggs look out down he goes okay that's coming in there burr again bad wound they just brought everything but the kitchen sink right there and there was nothing Scruggs could do no chance for the senior quarterback so turnover on downs and tell you what this could be a time-consuming game put away type of drive right here absolutely no reason to put the ball in the air and that's not good news for the Lancers who have two interceptions tonight and they haven't really come up with a way to stop this rushing offense of the quedagh smart and poke the running backs to give it to the up back Martin flips sent over end at the 40 yard line another first down they are gashing this Lancer defense wolf Martin and Pope with over a hundred yards now for the cadets as you said I think this team is fired up coach Coach grin DS got them going thinking about having the best record in quite some time at Air Academy of course the top 16 teams make the playoffs the cadets on the outside looking in but certainly positive momentum for this program both powers now quick hitter right side passes caught and I tell you what that defensively kazoo skiing company doing a good job of fighting off those blocks Michael Midkiff with the catch there his first catch of the night and you're right though the Lancers I really like the fight of this team I like what Coach Gossage has got him going he's got him believing in themselves they're not thinking about what their record is they're just out here playing football inside a nine and a half minutes to play here in the fourth that's Pope and the block kicked out to the right side Pope doing a good job being able to come up with a nice gain on second down he picks up almost eight nice job blocking up there by Martin in a beautiful stiff arm you can't draw up a stiff arm any better than that but Lancers push him out of bounds that stops the clock at nine ten left here fourth quarter Polk good-sized six feet one seventy-five and a methodical drive right now for air Academy try to win for the seventh time this season powers with Martin and Pope is the running back stop he'll go the other way and have another first down its Kyle Pope again that's the presence of mind of Pope keeps his eyes up he counts on that ball being put right in his belly he knows that powers is gonna put it in there so he's got his eyes on the hole and right there he saw that the Lancers had kind of pushed the hole to the right so he stopped cut back to the left and got the first down clock is moving inside and diving us to play air Academy and Liberty here final game of the regular season on a Friday night here Colorado Springs slot on the right side and they're gonna give it to Martin hesitates the first breaks a tackle another tackle it pulls over Lancer defenders out near the 35 yard line his Ethan Martin getting stronger as this game is going on he takes that handoff inside and just keeps barreling down just hey Lancers come jump on my back I'm gonna take you for another ten yard game this running game has been oppressive and I think the most impressive part of it is Liberty knows what's coming they still can't stop it so first at ten for the 35 counter again and big hole for Edmondson footrace to the end zone Edmondson has another Air Academy touchdown we've seen that play several times tonight each time it's opened up one time for just a five-yard gain and in a first down but this time watch Edmondson there it is the reverse play again they wait for their blocks Edmondson did a great job there and then just turns on gets around the corner for the touchdown and here Academy pulling away they're liking that Cole Benson the touchdown run that's his second touchdown run of the night he had one in the opening half in the second quarter to put them up 27 to 14 snap fondled fumble and conversion attempt no good 756 to go all air Academy they lead it 47:21 back after this you Naoko Levinson his second touchdown of the night is put Air Academy up 47 221 756 to go here in the fourth quarter zach partin set to kick it off here for Air Academy Josh Shaw Brian German and how about a little onside kick up 47 to 21 in Air Academy pulls it off Wow not sure the thinking behind it the execution was very well done though and maybe maybe Air Academy just wanted to get the football to run the clock out let's say that let's see what they do with it Josh well certainly hope it's not an unsportsmanlike you can hear the boos rating down from the crowd here and you know keep in mind 11 seniors on this team they want to go out with a victory in they are on their way to doing that here up 47 to 21 I've got to say it's been a while since I've seen that pulled off this late in the game with this kind of marching gag Ariane BER did a great job getting down there and getting that football kind of like a sky kick we're really not expecting it the Lancers weren't now let's see let's see what the K that's do they just try and run clock here and let's see if they even do think about putting it in the end zone after the onside kick we're covered by the kid that's both powers skips that are right up the middle and this is Martin you've said it he has gotten stronger as this game has gone on yeah and it seems to be it was like cowpoke's first half is Ethan Martin's second half both of these guys are just chewing up the yardage of course Pope went over a thousand yards of this season and Martin over 200 yards coming here to this one here tonight pretty good yards per carry average over five yards a carry and certainly that has not gone down tonight you would have to believe up 47 to 21 here's Martin hesitates tripped up at about the 25 yard line and it's a first down for but k debts again looked over the clock it's still 7:15 now it's starting to run this Air Academy team not a lot of numbers pregame had a chance to count him out of about 28 players who look like dressed out for air Academy but it seems like everybody is contributed in a big way here tonight for the road team quick pitch right side Edmonson again look at the speed cuts it back he's off to the races his third touchdown of the night how about I might have been more impressed by the catch in the backfield on this pitch we can see that replay Josh check this out watching one-hand this graph nice catch in the backfield and then but cut back and he just goes off to the races and scores so much for not trying to score I guess 5050 321 and a runaway fourth quarter here for air Academy is Zack Martin on to attempt the extra point and could we see another onside kick I certainly hope not and you know it gets to the point these T teams playing hard and you know sportsmanship so key is that ball hits the crossbar in it no good score stays at 53 21 will take a timeout 641 to go all air Academy here in the fourth quarter you 5321 all air Academy here with 641 to go in the fourth quarter Zack Martin set to kick it off again and Martin end over in pooch kick drops it in one hop at the 30 taken again and we have seen this happen earlier tonight Salus this time he's cut down and Brian you talked about this in a commercial break you saw the kicker for Air Academy Zack Martin over on the sidelines a little bit of a unique exchange there before that last kickoff yeah the assistant coach was talking to to him to Zack Martin about that last kickin it seemed to me like he was saying no I want you to kick it further than you did last time I think they were trying to do exactly what you saw him do this time last time so I'll back off on the ear Academy coaching staff maybe it was just a fortunate incident that they got the ball on that kick so to the right side Liberty its Malachi Salus and he'll get back to the line of scrimmage well one thing certainly these coaching staffs great with us during the week in terms of you know what they thought about their team coming out of this football game the players meaning so much to both these teams and you know for Air Academy head coach Scott Grinde said hey the seniors meant so much the co-captains Band moon open powers and you know a chance for this group to finish with their best record in 11 years and certainly they are playing inspired football tonight and for Liberty 13 seniors trying to go out in positive fashion and clearly and it's not going to happen tonight but this is a football team that you can't say enough about how hard they have played despite being on the losing end of the scoreboard here tonight yeah they've come back twice they were down 20 and started to make a comeback one time got within six the other time within 12 but it's it's just nice to see them continue to compete and even on this Drive here I mean third and five they still got chances and here comes Bennett that's great ball penny the catch and he's across midfield tackled down at the 45 yard line and Scruggs he showed us some things tonight with the arm nice job this time not so much air under the ball he delivers that one right on the money and penny comes down with a nice catch he's your guy he's their leading receiver actually they're leading in total yardage Musa penny keep in mind Dawson divorce keys at junior Torres MCL so he will be the guy most likely next year at quarterback for liberty is grant Scruggs moves on and divorce key before he tore his knee up completed four to one passes 516 yards so certainly some experience going into his senior season yeah we saw the Dvorsky play when their starter went out a couple or last year well as a sophomore and I thought he was impressive when he came in against these very cadets up there at air Academy and he he made some connections in that game he's gonna be something to handle with and so I think Eric Gossage it's got a decent core coming back if he can add some players in there and there maybe getting some experience tonight that elites is maybe some wins next season yep any at uni Alexander junior Salus just to sophomore Scruggs not able to get out of harm's way and the sack kid a backfield Aiden Diller with the sack big number 58 Scruggs thought he might be able to shake this one off tried to step up into the pocket it just couldn't get away from Diller who gets the sack for the cadets clock is moving inside of four minutes to play here well what a night what a season for Air Academy they're gonna finish with seven wins tremendous effort here by this group of 11 seniors and what a job Scott grinny and company has done Wow again flown down by big Jackson sakakeeny that's right William SOT bikini comes in I've never heard of anyone have two articles of clothing as a last name but sock bikini is the guy flung down the sack three minutes and changed to go in this one Jackson's sock bikini goes bike Jackson keep it name Jackson the sack man sock he had a big sock so uh Nene's gonna kick it away here and that should be should be last time Liberty sees the football we get a flag though delay a game again so they're gonna back it up five so Jack shaver over the ball to snap it back again 2:45 on the clock here on this football game penne that's a good part line drive and boy he has been able to get a couple of nice rolls and how about this no down to the 10-yard line make it to 9 to 31 on the clock today certainly been a bright spot the last time you did that he put put Air Academy deep air Academy had to try and get out of it on third down threw an interception to Brice Kisuke I don't expect the cadets to put the ball up at this point and as you said Brian I mean this is a team did not quit but in the end clearly air Academy just a better football team on this night the running game they had it going center play action able to execute through the air as well a couple of big touchdowns in the opening half powers to Ethan Martin through the air and then the Brady bad wound and here they are 53 21 got to run out the clock and that was an interesting eight to take a knee I am not sure a well-played game these two teams played hard great respect on both side lines and it's what you want to see in high school football here tonight Bo power is coming out of the game now one of 11 seniors on this cadet team bad wound poke powers all co-captains Josh Luton the senior out there he's he said no I want to stay in the game and now we're gonna get a timeout for air Academy as coach grinned he's probably maybe trying to get his seniors out of the game give them one last applause they've got some cadet fans over there in the stands we'll take a break we'll come back wrap this one up you're watching d20 football on 20 TV you final 152 here at d20 stadium it's been all our Care Air Academy here pulling away in the fourth quarter up 5321 and the cadets running out the clock at a ground here's Martin pops one look out of the open field Ethan Martin he's dropped down from behind across the 45 yard line wow that's interesting you know they took a knee earlier and the reason that was they put both Martin's in the backfield together Zack Martin was in the backfield with Eaton Martin Ethan Martin on that play and they gave it to Zack and he just took a knee he didn't want to run the football I thought that was kind of odd but I think it was just so they could have the brothers in the backfield for one final time because Zack is a senior this is final game Ethan will be back next year and of course Zack handling the kicking duties for Air Academy so clock is moving a minute 20 to go in this football game and they'll give it off right side this is Polk and he's flipped up at the midfield stripe this is probably the future quarterback as well Jarrett Clark in for air Academy right now number 10 and you can see all lots of seniors coming out there's Josh big Josh Luton headed out as we mentioned 11 seniors on this Kate a team Jack Newsome out this has been a tight group and what a job they've done seven and three this year not gonna make the playoffs but certainly heads held high it's been a great year for Air Academy football best finished record wise in 11 years final seconds run now and that should be the final play it will be the final play of the football game and they're excited over on the cadets sideline as you said they finished the season at 7 and 3 11 years since they've won 7 football games and for the Lancers Eric Gossage I really do think you've got a lot to build on Josh because they did they did a great job they were down but not out tonight they kept coming back kept coming back I think everybody thought this was gonna be a 40-point football game when it was mouthing air academy but Lancers came back cut it to six air academy replied Lancers replied and that's the way it ends fifty three to twenty one but hats off to both these teams at all the district twenty football teams this season absolutely what a game what a season here D twenty football on twenty TV for my partner Brian German on our entire crew this is Josh house saying so long from district twenty Stadium Air Academy wins it in a season finale 53 to 21 good night everybody you
