good snap vaguely looking to the right side he's got that middle route open again once again with wetzel and it's going to be good for six another simple route but a positive six yards wetzel's really impressing me right now man he was one of those we talked last year he got that all-conference not at the defensive side of the ball he puts himself in the right spot he's not going to wow yeah he gets it done he's got great hands he's a great route runner every route that he's ran tonight the hitch routes the snag routes he's ran a couple bubbles but he looks he's really impressing me right now with his hands and his footwork and just his awareness of the game eagles now ball on the right hash still at their own 48 yard line doubles gonna be another pass play they're going to look across the middle of the field once again and it's gonna be dropped by maddox stefan i think he got a little cold feet there coming across the middle yeah i heard a couple footsteps there it's gonna fall incomplete third down and four and that's a huge play that would have been a first and ten and on that play he just ran a simple uh slant route and you have your corner on you and then you have those bigger linebackers flowing your way so you know a hit's coming if you catch that ball uh but brings up a third and four here see if uh eagles can get that clock going again with this first down gonna be a pass once again they're looking the left side and it's gonna be all wide open and vaguely he's gonna get out of it he's gotta get up field and he is gonna get the first down and there was four muscular indians in the backfield with four eagles offensive linemen he ducked out he ducked under him i think that was one of those vaguely looked down and saw the linemen and thought oh boy i gotta go so first down good job by vaguely keeping the play alive and getting that first down they were going for that double move on the left side i think trying to make uh they didn't have time for half a move yeah they didn't um they were trying to see if that corner was falling asleep over there because habermill hasn't got too many looks on that left side we've been working a lot of this right side if we're throwing the ball so uh trying to see if that let or the left side of the defense is uh sleeping over there but couldn't even get time to throw gonna be a high snap and it's gonna be slung out to the left that could have got picked off so easily if that corner was paying attention i don't even know if vaguely looked at the play right there he just took it and threw it intended for number 21 hudson bryant i think he just caught it i don't even know if he would have time to get the laces on that that's scary though because if that corner sitting in the flat and he's watching the cornerback oh my gosh that's teddy in the first half eagles are in indians territory now balling the indians 45 second and 10.

roberts talking about the number of penalties already in the game when i came up here it uh maybe early season jitters that's a wheat that's what we chalked it up to or early season yeah jitters or sloppiness or just getting settled and but also i mean this is a big deal to these kids and certainly there's some younger kids out there and we talked about drew schieffer does not have any penalties for the record but drew sheep is a freshman so you know certainly they need to get themselves settled a little bit his balls to blythe horn was under center that time that's a heck of a good carry up front for about a gain of eight and the second and two i think both teams had to have a penalty inside the 10 going in which which set them back certainly you know five yard penalties or five yard penalties but when they're you've only got three more yards to go before you score certainly a bigger deal than elsewhere on the field horn under center again now he's going to give it right back to formation he's going to sprint out option but he's going to keep it he's got room to go in a first down that's a good possession in there by columbus east that's an option to replay into the boundary to where ethan duncan's going he has jv on as an outlet but he's going to read that end and if that end crashes he's going to pitch it if he doesn't he's going to keep it and jv is going to lead lee block for him as well well designed well executed play there by columbus east i think east has a lot of success when duncan gets out on a sprint out either for a pass or a run it's tyler weller with the ball in the air very much see i think last week at east i did go to the game and everyone was looking around making sure that they were still at a columbus east game when uh east threw the ball i think eight times in the first quarter last week oh well whiteland doesn't throw the ball at all hardly do they no they don't throw the ball much they run it run it too well tyler yeah they certainly wouldn't be surprised if they took a time out here looks like that's what they're gonna do so he used to call a timeout here with about 501 on the clock that'll give them one timeout remaining here in the half fourth and three ball in the right hash into a little bit of a wind what do you think chad i think there's probably 11 columbus east players over there begging the coach to go for it players always want to go for it right well they should worry about them a little bit if they want to they want to try to kick it so the ball's in the 17 that's going to be a 27 34 yard attempt if they were to kick it from there i don't know i haven't seen enough this year to know what what uh what hedrick's range is i don't do you know i don't know i think he was one for one also last week so so far two for two well mr hedrick's gonna stay on the sideline because east has their offense on the field they're in trips to the boundary here duncan in the empty set there's a tight end to the boundary the puller guard and ethan's going to run it and he is on his feet still close he might have it that's a heck of an effort tremendous individual effort right there well what a play by ethan duncan the senior from east high school he he got that they they pulled they pulled the guard uh number 61 jamal starks who certainly certainly helped but that was that was all credit to number 12.
you got to try to get something and uh even if you don't get it you're only going to leave mosquito with about a minute to go maybe less so stay aggressive here though if you're our coach horner and the eagles he's trying to get the offense to get going he's waving his hand still doing a little bit of walking around high snap gonna be brought down vaguely is going to try to go to the left side he's going to get it he's got a wall of blockers he's going to get seven or eight and first down and get the ball to the eagles 33 yard line good job there by the offensive line getting down field with 127 once those chains are set that clock's going to start as it just did now so offensive line's got to get on the ball and look over to coach horner and be ready for whatever plays next because you don't want to make a mistake here under two minutes uh this is a big drive here to try to cut at the two scores once again this is one thing every once in a while coach horner talks that he he wants to go tempo but then we get to this spot and it's almost like all right what are we gonna do what are we gonna do and you lose your tempo and it's gonna be a time out on the indians but like i said he tries to go tempo every once in a while and that's why we do that no huddle offense but then there's a lot of standing around afterwards so i'd like to see if you are going to do a true tempo you almost try to have a play okay if we're second and short or in this case first and ten have that play in the back of your mind and i think dom's well enough to he's smart enough to where if that happens he can remember four or five plays okay if it's third and six here we gotta go tempo and try to get him to jump offsides or uh try to try to take a shot if you see that something you like um but i think if yeah vega is definitely smart enough for uh any situational time football so i think we might see a lot more of that this year vaguely when i played we had the wristbands and we had a couple of the calls would be in red which was a a no count at first so like you said sometimes you just yell hurry up get up there you call one of those numbers off yeah it's a no call and then you look over to coach hoyner and say okay now what do you want to run so and like you said with vaguely being a three-year starter i would think coach horner and coach germaine i think they give him a little bit of trust in the back field and your linemen all have a lot of experience from last year too so you'd like to be able to think they could handle that kind of situation so yeah and even seeing vaguely back there whenever stuff breaks down like on that pass where he went for that double movement he had no time to throw he still got out of it high snap brought down and he's gonna be brought down in the backfield and once again you're coming out of a timeout and you have a negative play loss of two and now you're under a minute 50 seconds to go ball at the 35 and i could see coach horner now just going into the half i'd be taking two shots of the end zone you know vaguely's got a strong enough arm to get it there i think i would take carter hicks have him run across and get that big body try to get him in the ball one time out for each teams nobody looks to be in a hurry second and 13 ball at the eagles 35 yard line they're gonna fake they are gonna go to long it's gonna fall into the arms of number 11.
i think 61 is also playing both ways tonight brad okay he's a good looking kid same formation this time they're going to give it to the back that's jv on smith pick up about three second no i'm i apologize i'll give him about two we got a player on the field that's the other thing early in the season like this chad as you all know it's it's hot it wasn't overly hot during august practices and now it's hot sometimes kids cramp up and they're not not really great about their hydration and all those things so certainly hope that's only the case with cramping when somebody's on the turf i'm not even sure who it is i haven't seen the player's number yet but oftentimes that's the case yeah i don't see the player's number either that does seem to be a theme the last several years lots of cramps for players at all levels really see it more and more often even even at the college level today both schools fortunate to have strong partnerships with crh that's uh that's number number 56 conrad edgar's not only walking off lenders are in power but getting the student section energized as he does it's good to see that both schools fortunate to have strong partnerships with columbus regional health to provide good care to student athletes here doctors and trainers on the field was awfully excited about getting up off the field right there he was he was very excited about i got a feeling healthy i got a feeling he's gonna be on the field here in about 10 seconds dunking back to pass looking into the boundary for alvarez that's incomplete alvarez he's a 64205 senior for columbus east and as predicted here comes mr eggers back into the field third and nine that was a it was a great play call there they uh went right to the first down marker and receiver turned around just didn't quite get his head turned around fast enough catch that one it's a quick play in the boundary you don't have a lot of time trips into the field formation here for duncan and the gun javion's going to sprint out on the read option same play as before they're going to pick up about three i think he was going to pick up first down there he just slipped and fell a couple yards short of the marker that's where north put all that grease and vaseline down earlier this morning in that corner of the field fourth and five and we do have personnel change here and looks like they're gonna they're gonna kick they're going to kick this one so hedrick's on the field t is going to go down on the 15-yard line so that's gonna be a 25-yard attempt 3 30 on the clock and counting snaps good holds good kick is up and is good it is yeah he's he's got a good leg chad i don't know i don't know if he's looking to play somewhere or kick somewhere next level next year but that does not seem like it's much of a strain for him pretty consistent too and they had a uh a touch back off a kickoff here sure did last time as well they sure did 3 21 to go here in the half dogs hanging on to a 7-6 lead so chad you mentioned both your boys have played for east and in these games but from your perspective uh how is that how big of a deal is it leading up to it and all the anticipation and excitement well i'll tell you what brett if anything the motions you see after the game tell you how important this game was to the kids when you see these get kids uh you know how upset they get if they aren't able to come out on top in this crosstown rivalry sometimes it hurts more than it does when their season ends but then about five minutes later you see them talking and getting pictures with their friends from the other sideline um and it really just shows how special this game is and how special this community is to support two high schools the way we do it is a unique situation a lot of these kids have gone to elementary school together middle school together played on travel teams together and uh it is a special bond for sure that is damon edwards on the return right at the middle of the field he's got space and he got tackled at first there by number 89 that's jared brooks 511-185 sophomore making good play but a good return overall by north and that ball is going to be at about the 31 yard line 314 on the game they've got plenty of time in this before half time yeah they sure do and and based on how well they were running the ball previously uh there's really no reason not to continue to do so especially as you mentioned given the fact they have they have time since you said that i'm sure they'll throw it right now yeah as they do zach horn back to throw he's gonna throw it to leon brown in the flat he's gonna be wrapped up at the 39-yard line leon brown number 89 6-3 255 pound former rock creek bulldog who has great hair chad and i would hate to see that hair coming at me in the open field like he just was there well the hair adds at least another 15 pounds visually under center give us to blythe the back he's going to have a first down it appears clock will stop temporarily as the ball gets set and the sticks move balls on the 42-yard line i did spend some time at north in the morning the other day and there is ample evidence that the mullet is a hundred percent back if there was any question it it just come come hang out at north in the morning yeah leon leon's on that train for a while though he didn't start that yesterday pressure on pressure on horn here no doubt ball down the field that's going to be picked up there by braylon thomann number number 15.
nick yannick for an eagles touchdown on a play that looked like it wasn't going anywhere nick janet comes out of nowhere and it is a touchdown columbia that play was so perfect he ran i think he ran a wheeler out there and don bagley sold the slant route another double move we've talked about that a couple times tonight and he finally got some time to throw it a little bit and what a great catch by janakin to go the extra 15 yards to get in the end zone to cut this two back to a two two possession game and that that that's a big play right there right before half it was a beautiful play there for the eagles now for the p-80 it's a teddy number 40 for the eagles running on a little late finally comes on good snap good hold kick is up simple play and it is good so that takes that mandy mcguire group scoreboard muscuta 27 columbia 14 with 21 seconds to go and that is a huge score there for the eagles yeah great great drive there uh what did we say we got the ball with four four minutes five minutes i think close to five yeah so we took almost four and a half five minutes off the clock there um just what we just what we were saying uh coming out of that last touchdown uh for the indians to waste some time and if you can get some more points up on the board and give mosquito not a lot of time to score before half because they get ball at half so but having having this mosquito team you know they got a lot of athletes so it's never over uh going back two years whenever we would have london little uh guys like mcconaughey um where there could be four seconds on the on the clock and the game's still not over because if one guy touched if one of those guys touches the ball they could be gone pretty quick so you got to watch out for number one middleton here and number five quincy hall i would say uh on these uh next 21 seconds well you talk about london little this was the field that he had the pick six i believe no it was it was the uh it was the kick return was the big one yeah and that was one of those that we were talking we're saying on the game that we didn't record or i didn't record you know hey this we got to have a good one here and all of a sudden london little does what london little does and everybody yeah everybody pretty much thought the game was over yeah until london gets the ball and goes 98 yards down the field and the whole place is our side's going crazy and this whole side's silent um but yeah you got to watch out for that here with 21 seconds to go and the eagles are going to do the smart thing they're going to pooch kick it's going to go off in indians hands and it's gonna be recovered by number four for the indians and jt curry and it's only going to be five yards and let's go back to that london little guy that next year after he has the big kick return that next year he had the game at i think it was 14 to 7 at the time and a 98-yard pick six now turns it to 21-7 and that changed that game so when you have those athletes you never know yeah that was big play london right there he was always making big plays out there on the field and i heard he's a starter now hoping yep so congrats london all the great things you're doing up there uh we miss you back home eagles are gonna send a man back about 30 yards deep and hopefully not get one of those big plays to happen against him trips to the right side but before a delay of game and once again coming out of a break a delay of game or a penalty and it's happened to both teams tonight not just the eagles or the indians so it's a five yard penalty brings up a first in 15 17 seconds to go in the first half before we head into that century 21 halftime show is that mason back here playing center field i can't tell is it it's an 18 i believe which would be mason vaguely 18 or 10.

i can't see the difference between those two ellen now after that five yard penalty the indians will go under center take a knee and that's going to take us into that century 21 halftime show here in of the game um i think the first quarter was kind of rough i think we had a lot of jitters out there um second quarter was a lot better i think we got all the jitters out of the way i think the offensive line was a little not nervous but just not ready for the speed of the game or um just not ready for the first game of the season but um i think overall they're doing a pretty pretty good job you just on the defensive side you just got to stop big plays um know where middleton's at we've we said that from the beginning and i bet he's already got eight nine touches um in this game so um as long as you can limit their athletes touches and wrap up and tackle um try not to get as many uh delay game calls or stupid penalties i like how this one's looking offense is looking pretty good don begley's running the ball really well and connected with yannick on that beautiful ball from about 30 yards out to end the half so that was a great way to end the half and you can't really end it much better no and you got to feel good about that like you said it was a rough first quarter second quarter you turned around and if you're coach horner you got to go in and get that cross to the guys hey you know what we didn't play a perfect first quarter but we're down two scores you get a stop and a score anything can happen you're in it yeah one play can change a whole lot of things here so so not a bad first first half i'm not not too disappointed not uh what one or two penalties yeah i think we had the one hold on a kick off and that was kickoff somebody that's a game that coach horner is not too happy about it yeah that's a tough one and mascuto had done that too and that's just a week one kind of deal um you don't want to have them but those kind of mistakes are gonna happen and uh we talk about middleton he's been a big threat and even hall quincy hall number five yeah last year three receptions for 41 yards and this year i bet he's doubled that already oh he had himself a heck of a first first half so defensively we haven't given up too many big plays i like how we're getting into that third and medium third and long occasionally we just can't get off the field yeah and that's i know that's gonna eat coach germain alive tonight because any time you can get in a good third down on defense on the defensive side of the ball whether it's third and three third and fourth third and five those are those are great things that can happen on the defense so we just need to be able to make the right make the right calls and get in the right spots and try not to let those big plays happen and um maybe see a fumble or a big hit interception something to get that defense going because uh mosquitoes kind of made the columbia the scoot offense has made the columbia defense not look too great tonight but um coach germain's gonna make some adjustments at halftime i know and um we'll see if he gets vaguely we haven't really called vaguely's name too much on the defensive side of the ball so we might see if you put him over middleton i know you want to save him on the offensive side of the ball and not waste all his energy but um something you might be able to have to think about and you like you said a turnover here like you said you need a spark on that defensive side of the ball down here at the end zone i think it was in the first quarter they ran that guy in motion across the field and it was all turned into oh yeah i was at fourth and one yeah and uh that just turned into an arrow route and wetzel was a half a step late he was in the right spot like we've said a couple times he just half a step late and that caused the touchdown there so with five minutes to go here in this first half of the century 21 halftime show we'll have that three minute warm-up afterwards and you look at the schedule here for the eagles this season tough start coming out with mosquito week one but next week we'll go with that uh route 3 rivalry if you will that's going to be our military appreciation night and that's with waterloo they're going to come in we're going to be hosting that game waterloo currently leads modern day seven nothing at half and uh freeberg another conference opponent leads sparta 26-nothing at the first quarter thank you zach daly for the the scores there and another game that pretty neat game that happened that he just sent me in for our halftime show cbc over milton georgia 41-27 in canton ohio pretty neat that you're being able to play canton ohio yeah i think zack said they're playing where they played that hall of fame game in that actual arena so you know that's got to be pretty cool for those cbc boys so we go back to the eagles schedule week one muscuda week two we will be hosting uh waterloo week three we go on the road to alton marquette which is a team or a game last time we played up there we didn't even have a locker room we were getting dressed in the in the trailer so that's a an odd thing to do but that's welcome to high school football and we probably won't even be doing a broadcast right that week alt marquette week the way it is looking we will not have a broadcast marquette does their own deal um where they have a big broadcast so we'll probably be posting that link out for everyone to watch that after that marquette game we have roxanna which is going to be our first responders night so for all you first responders out there come out we'll honor you before the game and the columbia quarterback club will be giving a check to the ems columbia ems so uh that'll be that week four match up week five gonna have to be hosting freeberg and that's a game we lost last year i don't know last time we lost a freebird freeberg had a pretty good year last year they made it to the second round i believe it was got beat by the powerful rochester but uh when we play freeberg that'll be our blue jays night so pretty neat event you played blue jays growing up pretty neat for those little guys to come out on the field oh yeah whenever i was little and uh you'd be able to be around all the high schoolers before the game and um even get to go to team meal with him and sit by him and stuff uh it's pretty special and then right before the game getting to run out the tunnel uh here in the crowd for the first time and um just waiting for that big day whenever you're little man and now i'm sitting up here we're both sitting up here like dang that goes by quick it does go by quick and uh even when you were in high school they probably thought you were one of the blue jay players oh good one good one alex oh i'm sorry i had to throw that dig in there so uh after that freebird game we go to east alton wood river one of the new teams that's on the conference schedule i guess last year was the first year we had the new cahokia conference large division so we will go to wood river after that it looks to be week number seven we will be hosting salem that's homecoming always a fun night a lot going on on homecoming so we hope to get a victory over salem week eight that's where a season a conference title can be won and lost at bree central and uh always a tough place to play always an interesting place for you and i we have that fan that sits down to our left two years and running yeah he lets us know that oh yeah oh me and him have had some words with each other i'll just leave it at that so that's week eight against bree central and then senior night will be week nine when we host jerseyville so um you look at the season breakdown we got some fun home game promotions with first responders night but our first one is going to be that military appreciation night and uh we will be honoring a family with songs for soldiers their big event don't forget is on september 9th and 10th country will be no i'm sorry rock is on friday night that'll be ever clear tonic and stir and then saturday will be low cash and alexandria k the country night on saturday night so we will be doing military appreciation next week against waterloo we're going to have ourselves a bulldog eagle race where the mascots will be getting after it we're going to have raleigh tiles with all those proceeds the quarterback club bought the rally tiles and the proceeds will be going to songs for soldiers and i believe this year they might hit their one million dollar mark for songs for soldiers yeah that's amazing that's pretty cool have you ever gone songs for soldiers i went uh so they usually have it whenever they only did it fridays back in the day i think and every time i would have a game on friday night so i think i only went one year but oh yeah it's pretty fun up there it's a good time so that'll be something that we do like i said that mascot race i don't know i think it's going to be between the first and second quarter we're still trying to figure out the logistics and how that's all going to work so that'll be something to look forward to and uh as you hear the fans get a little riled up muscuta making their way back out onto the field so two minutes and 40 seconds remaining in the century 21 halftime show and eagles down getting their stretches in vaguely and wetzel working on their pats you got coach g coming out like you said hat's still on straight still got that play card dangling from his hip what's going through his mind and how is he going to get a stop on this first drive when uh muscular gets the ball back i think he definitely put in something different there at halftime um i think he doesn't like being down at all he hates losing but um i think shutting down their main two guys if you can shut down five and you can shut down one um i think the our run defense has been pretty pretty good all around tonight with stuffing up the middle our defensive line has been good uh i remember canning stein making two or three big plays in the middle uh antsonis has stuffed it up pretty well up in there so um i think we might see vaguely come up and play a little bit more linebacker maybe blitz him a little more or uh go see him play on middle ten or number five and put a man-to-man and see if we can get stops there but um i bet he definitely made some changes coach g likes sending that blitz and you know he might send a guy on the right side and then all sudden he does a wheel with another guy coming off the right edge or might come in the middle so uh you never know what's going to come and like we've talked before 22 seasons now for coach horner and coach jermaine and when we were talking to coach stump in the holton meets coaches corner what do you tell a guy who's seen just about everything and i remember he'd come up to me and say okay here's what here's what i'm going to show you how are you going to go out here and i tell him what i'm going to do and he goes all right now there's a snap and he does something completely different so the creativity of him or the knowledge of the game from him is just unreal i think it's just of course he's been doing it for 20 plus years but he's been around the game since he was born i mean my grandpa coached him whenever he was little and my dad got to coach me and i'm so grateful for that but i think it's just because he's been he's seen every formation from back in the early 2000s whenever it was uh wing t and just power o and now you get spread and you have to play against the middletons of uh muscuda and uh just athletes everywhere now that uh it's definitely harder to guard on defensive side of the ball so you got to make changes every week because you never know what offense you're going to play against if you're going against the nashville team that's so used to just running it getting three four three first down and they play like that the whole uh the whole game so i think it's just him knowing all the formations and knowing what's gonna what's gonna happen all right well that's gonna do it for that century 21 halftime show they're going to start with an onside kick and nearly recovered went off the shoulder pads of number 18 it looks like for moscow and that could have been a great start now the pressure's on the defense sorry i got a little excited there uh i thought that actually was gonna bounce back our way but great job by 18 oh yeah i love it too catching him off guard a little 18 wasn't ready i'll tell you that i think he got lucky it just happened to hit him he was already working his way backwards so the indians offense is going to start over at the 48 on the aggressive play call from coach horner and coach kendall a beautiful onside kick too yeah nothing gave that away great aggressiveness so they're going to go double tight see they're moving dom up i think for mosquito three down linemen five linebackers vaguely comes up now they're gonna go right down the middle of the field they're gonna be forced to roll out and it's gonna be an errant throw intended for number four but great job by the eagles that looks like number 57 for the eagles and mason schnabel and carter hicks forced the quarterback to scramble and i think they moved uh number 12 on the defense up about three or four yards than he was in the first half so he's more in the mix on the defensive side of the ball um we'll see if number 12 can get his hat to the ball on a couple players empty backfield this time ball with eagles 48 sending a man in motion is middleton they're going to fake it it's going to be a pass play with number seven penalty flag on the play who goes across the middle caught by quincy hall and brought down however with that penalty it is going to be coming back it looks like great job by wetzel there to make that catch or not i'm sorry make that tackle after the catch this grasshopper has been sitting here the whole whole game and i just wanna i'm gonna flick it off so bad penalty on the plate seems to be against the indians illegal formation on the indians we'll take it gonna be a five yard i believe it is a five yard penalty and it will be a repeat of second down so second and 15 after the incomplete pass on first penalty on second that moves the indians back into their own territory now the ball at their 47-yard line hard count for the indians nothing going on that eagles defense they did show blitz look like wike showing blitz on the top side of the formation move the running back to the right side they're going to hand the ball off go up the middle great job by the running back putting his shoulder down he's going to gain six but that's going to bring up a third and eight and if you're mosquito there you're happy gaining about seven eight yards there on second down to bring it to a manageable third down where they've been pretty good all night watch a hard count once again here for the indians they're gonna hand the ball off same play they're gonna fake the pass though at the end and it's gonna hold the linebackers and it's gonna be a gain of seven fourth and one and right up to the line of scrimmage of the indians once again they're going to run probably the same play i don't know why they would change it up i would fourth in one big play for the eagles and it's gonna be a false start on the indians that is huge right there and it was a wide receiver uh looked like a number 40 down here by us was one of them that's wyatt stoltz the freshman six foot 155 he looks like he's six foot six from up here so fourth and six now you got to think about punting you still got to watch the football if you are the eagles could be a punt situation here too freshman we're safe going on that play there like there's no no place called so where are you running to is the first actually so it's a fourth and six gift there for the eagles three down linemen five linebackers man-to-man on the top of the screen where they're in trips right they're looking to the left double move they're gonna throw to the left quincy hall wide open on the double move and it's a touchdown for the indians [Applause] youtube [Applause] well you get that fourth down now and uh can't get off the field to been a theme of the night and that double move just beat built them in looked like it was just an out and up you look like a slugo little sluggo high snap that's brought down kick is up and it sneaks into that right side of the upright [Music] and it is good so that takes the mandy maguire group scoreboard muscuda 34.
30 seconds left clock is running and one time out left for north fourth down and what what is it five to get the first down spread to score that's that's what the board says yes i think uh coach is going to run this down and i would assume kick a field goal but we'll kick a field goal hope to go up ten to six at halftime or they could they could try to score all right so it is fourth down 1.8 on the clock coach haston uses his last timeout probably the smart play here brad take the points go in at half time up 10-6 celebrate the success on that last drive because that was a pretty successful successful march down the field started on about the 30 uh yeah yeah 25 or 30 i think it's it's a good drive and especially considering i in the i think it was the first quarter north had a 75-yard drive or so and and did not get points out of it so be tough to have the same situation replicated so i certainly agree take the points here at home in a game like this points are points are valuable it is fourth down so a bad snap or anything of the sort would result in a turnover but also because coach ran the clock down so far will will end the half so this will certainly be the last play of the half regardless auction guest back to kick ball is on the 14 yard line that'll be 24 yard attempt good snap good hold ball is up and ball is good and that's how we're going to end the first half dogs lead 10 to 6.
colombia 14. do you think that uh i know that onside kick we did there um we pushed him back a little bit because of that penalty but is that a good you like doing that off the right off the bat i still like it i do too you don't have much to lose if you get it it's a great call if you don't get it it's a horrible call but in some people's minds i still like it i like the aggressiveness gotta give it a shot yeah just didn't work out for the eagles there so now it's gonna be 34-14 he goes down by 20 points with 10 38 remaining on the board and you did what you had to do you got that fourth and long um just a good play and a good route there and a breakdown i didn't see what happened with built him in on that if he got tripped up or if he just bit really hard but you got to know there too i mean that's tough that quincy hall you got to be expecting that short route because you can run it and you got to honor that long route because you can do that right yeah that's just a good athlete right there making a play so and on the other side of the field you had middleton wetzel guarding him so i mean you got two options there that i mean they could run a jacksonville jet sweep and still bounce it for 70 yards and you look at the clock they only wasted a minute 22 there i know they got the ball at midfield but it just shows you that some of these kids on uh muscutic can bust one at any any time kickoff is going to be returned by number 21 for the eagles and it's going to be a big hit for moscow number 21 hudson bryant was trying to get over to this side of the field couldn't get over there and it's going to be a gain of about eight i think he ran about 45 yards look like 40.

just redeemed himself there who jumped off sides on that uh third down on that tackle so we'll see what this eagles offense can do they're going to have to dig themselves out of a hole right now and try to get into the end zone almost they must score drive right here no running back gonna be vaguely by himself he's gonna run to the left side behind carter hicks who is making a pretty good block and vaguely puts his foot in the ground gets up field and gets 15 yards good job following that lead block and then making something on his own i think that's gonna be uh the benefit of having some of those uh bigger guys up front antones and uh kaninstein but i think bringing in uh wike and hicks and some of those guys in the um spot where they're right behind the tackle or the guard and that sniffer spot you've got lead blockers right there that are already right there at the hole so don bailey just sees a hole and he can hit it at any time motion man this time it's going to be a quarterback keep up the middle he's going to get five motion man that time was nick janek so i would imagine that's coach warner saying hey watch your safeties if i need to come back to this play we know what the safeties and linebackers are doing as vaguely goes up the middle for five and pat baker coach baker's probably up there right now telling coach horner what he sees whenever they they send motion um i know motion like i said earlier is never fun whenever you're on the defense because you have guys moving around you have to bounce people out and you have to make different assignments uh down the line eagles up to the line of scrimmage under 10 seconds on the play clock 9 15 in the third quarter we're gonna have to burn a timeout here and it's going to be a loss of five yards on a delay of game and if i look at the field right there dom vaguely was pointing up at the play clock i'm not saying that one was on coach warner but based on vaguely's reaction there that one might have been on coach horner yeah vaguely knew that time was running low so he pointed up to the clock but i don't know if coach horner wanted to burn one there so it's gonna be a loss of five bring up a second and ten tight end sniffer back left gonna be a pull and play to the left side gonna be a handoff they're gonna get to the line of scrimmage maybe even lose a yard and bring up a third and eleven tough two plays in a row right there for the eagles and they're gonna have to make something happen here on third and 11.
yeah you get bailed out a little bit by the the progress piece so gets a yard or two back because of that third and 11 from the 24. we've talked about savion quite a bit he causes problems up there for sure as he as you notice there bald in the middle of the field third eleven ball in the 24 yard line trips they're gonna throw a bubble screen into the and he's gonna slip and fall that's number eight on the reception there devin to call a multi-position player good athlete just lost his footing that play is designed that's to the ex receiver the furthest most receiver here inside receivers block lineman release and block and the goal is to come underneath us come underneath those blocks and get back outside the numbers and he just slipped and fell he's trying to make that he looked like he had a few more yards ahead of him i don't know if he'd have gotten quite to the first down marker but certainly we should have picked up a couple more punt team is on and away the ball is clean it's going to be received fair catch on the 40 seven yard line there by cooper horn yep 47.
yeah if anything don't throw the ball down the middle of the field like we did on the that third down play on the first drive uh i'd go towards the sideline if anything because i think they're going to force everything to the outside so you're going to get that outside leverage over here on this trip side i believe so we'll see if we can work the ball this right side and have vaguely roll out to the right see if he can pick it up with his feet trips to the right side running back right balls on the left hash it's going to be a straight drop back he's going to look to the middle of the field again it's going to be not sure if it was to wike it was high for him high for what's a little bit low for yannick yannick so that ball luckily fell incomplete and it's going to bring up a fourth and 11 punt team coming onto the field tough drive there for the eagles offense yeah losing that five yards there on second down when you have that second and five and vaguely makes a good play on first down to keep that or start that drive off and you just have a drive killer and then breaks down from there and the defense will take the ball back ball on the eagles 34 yard line 825 good snap punt is off and it's going to be a pretty good punt going to bounce at the 31 gonna be recovered at the 26.
