Um, do we do we have um I I noticed it says that the, you know, homeschoolers uh students are supposed to be tested at state testing at his own school. Do do we have a a number of those that come in for testing or do you know? >> You're asking if we have a number of students that have chosen the option to come through the district. >> Well, it says testing program. It said the home school, like say I'm a little bit confused about that. Do the does the law require that if the parent chooses to homeschool and they go through the proper procedures, does that mean that they have to come in to the school for

the for testing, statewide testing? Yes sir. And let me explain that portion with there are three options for homeschool. Option one is through the district. Option two is through the homeschool independent association. And option three is a cluster of approximately 150 homeschools. If a student or if a parent and a student chooses option two and option three, they are not required to come back into our schools to test because they are no longer with us as students. That student is withdrawn from our school system. But if they choose option one upon your approval, then when it comes time for testing, that student must come back into the building of their home school, their home school in which they would have metriculated and take their uh state assessments. >> So they apply for homeschooling, they I

guess there's three different options that you have. Yes, sir. They choose not the option to be associated with us. Some other organizations has to verify that. That is correct. If they >> handled the state department of education, >> say that again. >> Not handled to the through the state department of education. >> No sir. Um actually once a parent chooses to homeschool >> and they choose option two or three, our hands are off. >> Okay. >> And Miss Mart, we get we don't get any funding in any of those things even even option one. >> But the only responsibility I guess we have in option one is just to do the testing, right? That is correct. >> Okay. >> But we don't receive any funding for that shoot. >> No funding. >> Thank you. File

Are there any questions on the 15 policies, three administrative rules and one file presented to you all on this evening for first reading? >> Only got one question and Miss Keller. >> Yes, sir. >> You you're not as familiar with me and my stickler for grammar and stuff as Miss Murdo and Dr. Tullk and my fellow board members are but um file it's the file the only I think the only file you got in application for at home instruction file I HBG- >> yes sir >> and I see the only change in that is just low uh the atome instruction in the title of the file of the file the

only change I see is just changing it from a capital A to a small A is that correct >> no sir and then >> well I see now on the back page age as >> public school and public school. I see that. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. Well, then that's good. But I I I I got a question about the at home instruction. >> Okay. >> Because it is if you took that phrase at home instruction. I would like I and I know it had before a capital at capital home and capital instruction and we taking the capital A off and making it at home instruction. Then if you put it by itself, it would be a at home instruction with a little A on the at. >> Okay. I I'm and I I

don't know the answer. I'm just saying it sticks out to me. If y'all got any comments, um I would think if you ask me, I'd say leave the at home with a capital A. Um but I'm certainly open to you know what I'm not a grammar I'm not English teacher or grammar expert, but because I'm thinking at home instruction. Dr. Tull, you see what I'm talking about? >> Ask chat GBT. >> What's that, Mike? GPG. >> He could. >> I >> Well, I'm just giving y'all the basis of my >> The basis of my argument is what we're talking about is at home instruction, right? >> And you wouldn't say at home instruction with a little a t and then a capital H and a capital I. So, I say at ought to be in

capitalized. >> Yes, sir. I usually defer to Miss uh Murdo uh other English teacher when it comes to stuff like this, but I think you're right. Um I think it should be capital A and then we also hyphenate the word as well. >> Yeah. And I would be in agreement with that too. I think that's even even a little better with English. So you're doing good, doctor. >> Thank you, sir. I appreciate you. >> That's why you made the that's why you make the big bucks. See, that's what I'm told. >> And that's what it was because it wasn't hyphenated. Check. >> I agree. and and I and I totally can understand um based on our policy review and what we've been doing, we've been taking a lot of those words of the capitals and

making them smaller case and in in all senses, but this this one in particular just caught my attention because I'm thinking of at home instruction as one phrase and therefore that's why I thought it should stay capitalized. >> Okay. >> But I'm I'm good with putting a hyphen between at and home and I think that that would do it. That would take care of it. All right. Thank you, ma'am. Anybody have any questions? Any other comments? >> No, professor. All right. All right. Then do I hear a motion we take first reading on and let me go back. I think it's 15 >> policies, three administrative rules, and one file, correct? >> That are listed in uh the agenda. >> I'll make a motion that we take first reading on the 15 policies, the three

administrative rules, and the one file as presented by Miss Keller. >> All right. Thank you, sir. Mr. Jenkins. Uh you all have heard Mr. Jenkins motion. Is there a second? >> Second. >> A motion and a second to take first reading on the 15 policies, three administrative rules, and one file. The amendments is so noted that's in the agenda uh for this evening's meeting. Is there any further discussion before we take the vote? If not, all those in favor of that motion, please signify by saying I. >> I. All oppose, no. Motion carries. All right, Miss Kelly. Anything else? >> Thank you, ma'am. Dr. Tullk, anything else other than >> Thank you, Miss Keller and uh Miss Murdo, for your explanation. Get back to you, Mr. >> All right. The next uh thing on our

agenda then is an executive session for personnel recommendations and resignations. And I'd ask at this time I have a motion concerning um that matter. >> I make a motion that we go into executive session and discuss personnel matters and upon completion we return to regular session. >> All right. Uh you've heard Mr. Jenkins motion. and I won't repeat it again. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Motion and a second to go into executive session for personal matters concerning um recommendations and resignations. Is there any discussion? If not, all those in favor of that motion, please signify by saying I. >> I. All oppose? No. Motion carries and we'll go in executive session and we'll return here after we uh complete our discussion. Yeah, I brought that for you all, but I mean, we can

take it in there. >> I just want to tell you all about the the show. >> Thank you. >> Did you see County. Yes. >> They put her name in Gibson or something. >> Did you see that? >> What was that? was a lady from county. >> Oh yeah, >> but it Yeah, I saw that. We went down there last weekend, but I I saw it in Florida went down there and said county. I read the school to do the school. She got some grucy school. >> She got two kids in school >> and was selling stuff. >> Yeah. $6,000. >> Did you know who she was? >> No, I just saw >> I saw her name. I think nobody may talk about it. I talked to the school board association was talking about because

they had about didn't come to the school district. No, you're right. Is there a second? Second. Motion and a second to approve the superintendent's recommendations for employment. Is there any discussion? If not, all those in favor of that motion to approve the superintendent's recommendations for employment. Please signify by saying I. >> I. All oppose? No. That motion carries. Um, is there any further business to come before the board? >> None. >> Do I hear a motion to adjurnn? >> Move we adjourn. >> Motion to adjurnn. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Motion and a second. All those in favor of the motion to adjurnn, please signify by saying I. >> I. All oppose. 023>> Yes. At Sandy Run. 7 to 30. >> 7:30. >> Two weeks from tonight. Right. No. Three two three weeks from tonight. >> Today's the second and 21 days is 3 weeks. That's three weeks from the night. >> All right, Kev. >> All right. >> Did they say when they going to have that? >> It's probably Friday or Saturday. >> Friday. Yeah. It didn't take long at all. >> Two from 23 is 21. That's 3 weeks, right? >> 21 days. 3 weeks. Saturday. >> I was saying that it I'm like you, doc.
