001with open meetings law. >> Do you have a motion to adopt the agenda as presented? >> So moved. >> I'll second. >> Any discussion around adoption of the agenda? >> Seeing none. All in favor? >> I opposed. The agenda is adopted. Um in terms of attendance, everyone is here. Uh Quinn is virtual today. We'll move on to the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Please stand if you are able. To the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Move on to public comments. Do you have anything for public comments? >> There are no public comments. >> All right, we'll move on to three recognition. Whitnell High School fall and winter co-curricular recognition. Yeah, I'll have
002a rocker athletic director come out up and kick this uh get this show started. We uh we have recognizing fall and winter tonight. Fall kind of got busy. Uh so we weren't able to get uh a fall recognition. So we're we're going to do uh fall and winter tonight and then next year we'll get back on a schedule of fall and November doing March. >> So I have other coaches here. I put together a brief PowerPoint on some highlighting some uh fall and winter success in athletics. And then I have different club members and activities that have also had success that may have more to add than what I could fit in in a short slideshow. So after I'm done, I'd like to turn it over to all of our people that are spending time
003here to come and advocate for our students. Um it's greatly appreciated. So >> all right, I might have to get Oh, is the camera over here? I was going to say I might have to get a little closer, but >> Okay. Excuse me. >> Oh, thank you. >> Yeah. >> All right. So, on the first on the first slideshow, we have our boys football achievements. So, uh, as far as first team allconerence goes, we had Tanner Eerts, it was first team allconerence quarterback and punter. Max Palm, wide receiver and Dback. Cooper Marquee, wide receiver. Kareem Harris, offensive lineman. Jos Various, defensive lineman, and also Tanner Edwards was the Woodland's conference offensive player of the year. So, pretty cool to see. Uh, second team all conference, we had Isaiah Moore House, running back, and Bo Pony,
004linebacker. Honorable mention, we had Anthony Balani, Dend, Ryan Casey, Dback, our scholar athlete. That goes to our senior with the highest grade point average on the team. Again, went to Tanner. Then our team captains this year for football are Max Palm Tagg Tanner and Isaiah Mohouse. If you go down to the next slide, it is boys cross country head coach Rachel Lynch. Um this year we had our second team all conference runners were Isaiah Fielder and Brady Gob. third team all conference, Levi Gob and Henry Gapinsky. Our team captains Henry, Isaac, and Aiden. And our scholar athlete was Aiden Bradley. Girls cross country, uh, we had a pretty good milestone. Head coach is Carmen Van Hart. Emily Tasher, um, completed her senior year as fourtime conference championship. Not an easy feat to do that all
005four years of high school. also was a four-time individual state qualifier. So, pretty cool to see that how dedicated she was all four years and how she progressed every year. Um, this year she was first team all conference and was also scholar athlete of her team. Um, also notable first team all conference Lillian Manthy and third team allconerence Tess Scowski and Alana Deal. Then team captains were Laney Acavdo and Emily Terara. We go to the boys uh 2025 soccer program. Kind of cool to see as Brandon Sass was a former alum alumni. Uh the last time we've had this much success in soccer, he was on the other side of the field as a player. Now he's kind of out on the other side as a coach. So kind of cool to see. So uh
006head coach Brandon Satwitz was coach of the year for Woodland Conference. We also have the Woodlands Conference player of the year, Alvin Ka, who scored over 100 goals in his lifetime. Um definitely not not an easy feat to do. Uh this year they had a level W uh level two WI playoff appearance. They competed in the sectional championship and unfortunately um fell short and got beat. This year we had a ton of first team all conference players. Mark McShane, Chamilleio Cele, Vance Gowski, Jacob Nasawitz, Justin Tara, and Phipe Torba. Second team all conference we have Aiden Casten and Gabe Gomez. And honorable mention all conference we had Mason Jack and Mitchell Chimalleski. Um scholar athlete was Justin Dara and our team captains were Jacob Stasawitz, Vance Scowski, Mark Machine and Elvin Elvin Ka. Uh girls
007swim and dive had a huge graduating class last year so our numbers were a little smaller. um creating some swimming programs and putting some things in place to try to grow those numbers up and build interest from the youth level all the way up to the high school, especially with the referendum coming and they probably state the art one of the nicest pool facilities in the state will be on the horizon. So really trying to keep on growing those numbers in girls swim. Uh this year we had a head coach Ellie Cole, former alumni too. So I think that's great to see former players, student athletes that were in in the building and want to get back and coach and kind of give back to the community. Um, by the end of the season, everyone
008on the swim team has their personal personal best record, which to me in swimming, that goes a long ways. Um, everybody starts at different levels, but in swimming, kind of like track and field, it's nice to see that you can get in a pool and have one time and then by the end of the season, you might not be winning a conference championship, but you could be swimming an event 7 seconds faster. So, always good to see. Um this year we had Maya Miles for state achievement had a podium finish placed six in the 100 freestyle and just outside the podium placed eighth in the 50 freestyle. Girls tennis head coach John Debor um this year some of our our student that had success Tyranny Brick was second team all conference and qualified for the
009second year at the state tournament as a sophomore. So two for two qualifying for state and our scholar athlete was Alyssa Klitska. Girls volleyball head coach is Taylor Bishop. Um this year we were competing for a conference championship and lost a tough one to Greenfield right at the end. But still good to see that we're competing for top spots in the conference. Uh first team all conference was Gabriel Win and Lydia Johnson. Second team all conference Sophia Trango. Honorable mention was Kennedy Deser and Ella Lopez. Then our scholar athlete was Madison Martin. Team captains Kennedy Der and Lydia Johnson. Boys volleyball. Uh at the time head coach was Dan Crick. He stepped down due to a family move. and we have brought in a new head coach Tyler Fennel and then Dave Merrick the assistant
010will continue uh in his in his role in that position. Uh this year our boys uh did something first time in program history. They won a conference championship which is pretty cool to see. Uh I think if I track the records right, boys volleyball has been in existence now for 5 years at Whitmill. And for a school our size to have volleyball, it's pretty cool because there's some schools that are twice our size that don't carry that sport. And to see that we're growing it to three different levels. This year we had JV, varsity, and JV2 for the first time in program history at three levels. So that's a testament to the coaches and the student athletes for putting in the work. Uh first team all conference this year we had Kyle Clum, AJ Merrick,
011and Luke Parkinson. For honorable mention all conference, we had Alex Moore and David Ratkkey. Uh first JB2 program, I kind of mentioned that in school history. Uh second team all conference is Alex Meyer. Our team captains were Luke Parkinson and David Raky. And our scholar athlete was David Raky. Boys basketball coach. Uh head coach by Andrew Ojek. Uh this year some of our allconerence um honors. Uh first team allconerence Cooper Marquee. Second team all conference Max Mahalik. Uh honorable mention Tyler Mat Mahalik and AJ Campon. Scholar athlete was AJ. Um some notable wins. We beat West Alice at their place when they were we 19-1 ranked second in the state. So, it's always kind of cool seeing after they beat us by 25 points the previous time on our home court. So, that was one
012of our highlight wins. And then double level two WI playoff appearance. They lost uh to Waterford backtoback years now in the regional championship. Um as far as cheerleading, uh we had some new coaches join this year. Sarah Jackson, Michaela Van Effin, and Sheree Stout. Uh this year JV, our team finished third place at the JM JV state tournament. Boy swimming head coach Perry Perkins. Uh this year the team finished fourth place in the Woodlands Conference. Uh team finished fifth place at the WI sectionals. Qualified in seven out of the 12 events for WI state swim meet representing five of 11 members out of the team. Uh, state qualifiers were Kyle Schmaleski, Grant Cole, Benjamin Jennick, Joshua Lens, Mason Moore, and Evan Starky. Team captains were Josh Lens and Mason Moore, and the scholar athlete was
013Mason Moore. As far as wrestling goes, head coach Tom Maloney, uh, this year, our conference runner up was Damen Thomas. Uh, Damen also got his 100th career milestone win, which, uh, definitely is not an easy feat. So congratulations on that. Our scholar athlete was Aiden Maloney. We have this year we had four state four state qualifiers. Um and we had JD state qualifiers and Forest Crosby, Alex Rogers, and Marco Panick. Uh this year at team sectionals placed fifth and qualified for WI team sectionals. Uh state tournament qualifiers at the varsity level. Aiden Casten, Damen Thomas, Alejandra Austin, and Aiden Maloney. Then this year, Damen had a a podium finish, placed sixth place individual at the state wrestling tournament. Far as dance, uh we have Julia Tilly, head coach. All state team was Sam Sangsttock and
014Kala Dumbrossski. Captains Kala Dumbrosski, Sam Sangsttock, Ken Storm, and Bella Erion. Uh this pl this year, seventh place D2 is state duet trio. Um first uh at our Florida trip down in nationals, the ladies took first team in Palm Nationals and then third place in hiphop championship. As far as gymnastics, uh we are in a co-op uh with Oak Creek, we're going to continue to do this next year. Um basically every year when there's a co-op, I'm not sure how familiar everybody's with co-ops, you sign a co-op or you are in an agreement and then you do those co-ops for two years. After those two years, you re-evaluate like if you can host your own program, if you have the facilities, which here right now, it's it's a better fit. Um, there's seven girls currently
015on the co-op. Four of them are from Whitnull. But if Oak Creek wants to host and endure a lot of those expenses and take up gym space that's comes at a premium, I think right now we're at a better fit to have a co-op where obviously a lot of our students are kind of representing already in that co-op. Uh, this year the head coach for the co-op is Katie Moore. Team took second at conference. Uh Bren Bar was a state qualifier for the second year in a row and then we had all state team was Ava Chateau on the balance beam and Brim Bar the vault. Um girls basketball had a lot of success this year. Head coach Anthony Parr. Um some of the individual and honor awards are Woodlands East Conference player of the
016year Riley Ward. Uh she'll be continuing on playing basketball at Aken State on a full ride in South Carolina. So, always cool to see that students that succeed in the classroom are also achieve um achieving success on the court. So, best of luck to her. Um she was nominated the Woodlands Conference player of the year. First team all conference was Riley Ward and a transfer student that came in Kylie Sai Cheney was also first team all conference. Second team all conference we had Taylor Aida. Honorable mention all conference we had Payton Byer and Sheree Brown. Uh, and then Riley Ward also qualified for the WI3-point contest, uh, ranking one of the top eight highest percentages in the state. So, unfortunately, she didn't win, but still cool to see that out of thousands of female athletes
017that she's one of the top eight in the state. Um, some team achievements this year, our scholar athlete was Ella Ell. Uh, team captains, Riley, Taylor, and Ella. Um, team success so far, uh, this is our third three repeat conference championship. So, backto-back back conference championships and also three regional championships. And then this year, uh, lost in the WI sectional championship. They were runner up to White Fisher Bay who eventually went on to win the state championships this year. So, that's kind of a little highlight of our fall and winter sports. And now I'll turn it over to let's bring up wrestling first, then we'll go dance, and then you guys Hello, I am Tom Maloney, the head coach for Whitnell wrestling team. Thank you for allowing me to share with you the successful season
018that we had. In early November, the coaching staff and wrestlers were excited with anticipation to embark on a seasonlong journey of hard work and dedication while learning and improving in the sport of wrestling. Throughout this season, our wrestlers not only enhanced their wrestling skills, but also built character, demonstrated perseverance, and gained confidence from their participation. The blood, sweat, and tears the wrestlers experienced during these four months created a real bond and therefore built friendships that will last a lifetime. Our varsity boys team finished with a dual record of 11 and 13. Had some ups and downs, but ended up peaking at the right time. Our windell captains, as you heard, were Aiden Maloney, Aleandra Austin, Damen Thomas, and Khloe Newberry. They did a fantastic job of leading the team on and off the map. Our
019program had three wrestlers qualify for the JV state tournament, which are Forest Crosby, Alex Rogers, and Marco Panic. Uh, junior right here, Damen Thomas. You saw he finished second in the conference tournament while also surpassing the 100 career win mark which less than 1% of all high school wrestlers accomplish and finished this year with 114 wins. We had four individuals qualify for the state individual tournament. Three of them are here right now. Um Aiden Maloney is over there on the right. Aiden Castton's in the middle and you heard Damen Thomas. Um Alejandro Austin cannot be here but Alejandra was also a sectional champion. Damen battled through a tough racket. Ended up getting to the podium and placing sixth in state. The last time we had a boy state place winner was nine years ago. Our
020wrestling program had great tradition and success, now qualifying at least one individual for the state wrestling tournament in 38 of the last 41 years. Senior Aiden Maloney was our team's Woodland Conference scholar athlete while always putting forth his best effort on the mat and excelling in the classroom. When I reflect on this past season, I am reminded of the individual and team accomplishments. I enjoyed seeing goals met and striving to become the best we can as a team and as individuals. Two of our highlights of the season were the opportunities to travel to tournaments and stay overnight in Wisconsin Dells in Nashville, Tennessee. These are great team bonding experiences, and I'm sure the wrestlers remember those times over how many wins and losses they had each year. As each season ends, we immediately look forward
021to next season and how we can have success individually as a team on and off the mat. Thanks. >> CONGRATS. Good evening everyone. I'm Julia Tilly. I'm the varsity dance coach and I have been with the program for about six years. I am incredibly honored to be able to celebrate and share our successes for our 2025 2026 season. With that being said, I just want to explain the program. We do have two pro like teams in our program and it's the game day team and the competition team. And through those programs, we've done it for the past two years, and it's been a huge success to not only represent some of those younger individuals that maybe aren't ready for a competition program, but also to be able to grow our Whitmo pride and show our
022spirit off to our schools and events, so on and so forth. So, I have three individuals this year, and what I decided to do is they're going to share some of their successes and our overall team's program success. So, I'm going to give it up for Kennedy first, or sorry, Bella and All right. So, I'm Bella. As you heard, I was one of the game day captains this year. Uh, we always start out our program by going to camp in the summer, usually in like late July. Um, at camp, we compete both group like in a group routine and in individual routines where we learn a dance within 3 days and then compete it and try to get a ribbon. blue is the highest and we were really lucky to have all of our girl
023hardworking girls all get blue ribbons this year as well as on our group routine every we got blue ribbons as well. Um we also got what they call the spirit sticks which is awarded to us due to school spirit positivity and passion for dance in general. Um, after camp, we come straight uh to the school and we start learning all of our routines that we learned at camp and we teach them to all the other girls in order to get ready for our football season where we then perform both sidelines and at the games during halftime. Um, our girls work really hard and I'm very very proud of what we did in the beginning of our season for sure. >> And I'm Olivia Kernney. Um I was on game day this year and then for
024the first time game day we did a competition at Mosquo Football Frenzy which we placed third at and then as Bella said she was one of our captains but we also had a captain Sam Sang Stock. Those girls worked really hard to communicate how our games were going to work and we met they met like the football games and then like got us prepared to like routine we would do during halftime and really led us with like the games itself and were very good role models to keep us like all in check and just like ready and prepared and like and able to have us have fun. And then all of our seniors really did a big role with being our role models for games and just all of game day throughout the season. Hello,
025my name is Kennedy Stum. I'm representing the competition side of the dance team. Whittle dance has had an incredibly successful competition season this year with captains of the season being me, Kennedy Strom, along with senior Khaled Umbrowski. We qualified for state in D4 palm. Sam Sangtock as well as Kaledom Browski earned all state qualifiers for their solos and the trio of Khaled Browski, Evelyn Paulos, and Sam Sang Stock earned seventh in their D2 trio routine at regionals. Winn dance also earned a national championship title this year for medium palm and we also earned third place in medium hip hop at the um contest of champions nationals in Orlando Florida this past month and then also during nationals Bella Yuran and Sam Sangock performed their solos alongside Lily Sharer and Jordan Bagneski who performed their duet.
026This team as a whole has shown hard work and grit throughout the whole entire season and Whittle dance the program has shown extreme success this past year which we are very grateful for and very proud of and also something that we wish to continue. >> Thank you so much for your time. I do want to take a second and thank some of the individuals outside of our amazing dancers that you can see. These are just three of the 24 athletes we have in the program that have been beyond what I could ever experience and more. probably I haven't seen this kind of success similar to what Brock said about soccer dance since I was in high school. They have these athletes, what they put out on the floor, competition, whether it was basketball halftime or
027competition floor, it didn't matter. They put a lot of time, blood, sweat, and and tears sometimes into these routines and they it's 10 months sport, so it's it's hard and they've worked really hard and they've deserved all the awards and everything that they've gotten thus far. But on the other side of it, we know there's admin work and whatnot. So, I want to take a moment to just also thank some of the individuals that supported our program and everything behind it. Uh, so Joel Gunderson, she's in the Whitnull Booster Club program. She was a huge advocate for our fundraising and getting us to nationals. Rachel Sher for, you know, supporting us on the Whitnull board side, telling us, you know, logistical things, what was good and what was maybe not good, and just overall supporting
028our program as well. Sue Colberg is always managing our finances and dance is it's a lot. It's expensive if you have kids in it. It's similar to NASA and cheerleadings. It It gets to be a lot. So, I appreciated her. All the logistical things she put into it. Sarah Byer for handling some of our administration and administrative needs. Um they've truly made a difference to our program and success. But I also want to take a minute and just a special thank you to our new athletic director, Brock. This even though this is his first year, you would think he's been here for years. And I can say in the 10 15 years that I've been a part of this program, whether I was an athlete or a sibling watching siblings go through school, he's the
029best athletic director we've had in the last two decades. So, I just want to take a minute and thank him and all the hard work that he's done for us. Overall, thank you you guys again for listening, for our celebrations, and all of our success today. We really do appreciate all of you. I am Joe Reading. I'm the uh mock trial advisor. Um and I brought with me the binder because I don't think you guys everyone says what's mock trial. So, this problem comes out in October and we hand them each one of these kids have one of these binders and it's uh there's affidavit in there. There's rules of evidence, the rules of competition, all that kind of good stuff. So, they have to have this, they have to know it. Um it's a
030lot of work and given what all these guys do outside of mock, it's it's a lot of work. It really is. Um but so this year we once again qualified for the state tournament. That's the second time in four years. Um, and next to me, let's see. Lauren and Kiara, um, Lauren Edwards, Kiara Chris, Cara Cresy, thank you. Um, are the captains and Lauren is a threetime captain and Cara is a two-time captain. They've done it four. I have never done mock trial at WNO without these two. Um, and I've been doing mock trial a long time at other schools, but this one. So, I will miss them tremendously. Um, and I want to tell you how they became captains because this is this is an awesome story. So, um, the first year I did
031this, my my daughter did it. We had all seniors and couple freshmen, right? So, we come back. We had two freshmen. Someone has to be captain. So, Lauren was captain and Lauren is running around. Oh, Mr. Ready, I can't I I can't get this. I don't know about this. What am I going to do about this? And then she was in a movie, right? And uh so she couldn't come to the scrimmage. So everybody else says, "Oh my god, what are we going to do? What are we going to do?" And they all went, "Yeah." And so Kiara found out about being a leader, right? And so the next year she was the captain. Um and they've been just outstanding all four years. Um this year at the state tournament, Lauren was an attorney for
032all four trials. Um, she won awards for best attorney for three of them. >> Oh, okay. So, maybe four. There was one team that didn't hand the awards over. Um so um um Lauren is really good at um so you only get 40 minutes to present your case and if um the other team is cross-examining you and making you go longer well then your your seven minute closing suddenly turns into a threeminute closing and uh she was able to do that all the time. Um Cara has been a witness, she's been an attorney. Um she's been an absolute asset to this team. Um she didn't she didn't get to do much at state this year because she had a family uh reunion um from a lot of people from out of the country. So she
033went Friday night but she wasn't able to compete on Saturday but she was awesome in the regional. Um like I said we'll miss her. Next to her is Alicia Holmes. Alisia has done this she's a senior. She's done this two years. Um she missed regional but we left her on the roster for the state because we were hopeful to beat the state. Um she had a fa she had a family trip. Um but she's always been a witness and she's always you played like the really smart witness. Um so she um you're also in DECA, right? You're like a leader of DECA. That's all these kids are doing something else. And then last over there is Mila. And Mila, help me with your last name. >> Church. >> Yeah. Um she um she is a
034junior and she's one of hopefully two returning juniors. Um and she was an attorney for all for both sides, right? Both plaintiff and defense. >> Um and she's just she's already the great thing about going to state is you gain experience about what it's like to be in the rare air, what you need to do, and she's already fired up for next year. We're we're we're months away still. So, um but she's she's been awesome as well. I want to mention the other kids. Um they're not here. Like I said, they're doing all kinds of stuff. Uh Valerie. Um how do you Valerie's last name? >> Boris Senco. >> Okay. Thank you. Uh Valerie did it three years. Valerie's been in the lead in the play here at school. She's in in the play somewhere
035else. She's she's going to theater at Emerson. So, uh, we should Dan Tran uh, Yan Tren, uh, did it three years, again, an attorney, just a great kid. Andress Carr did it two years. I think he won a, uh, best a witness award. Uh, Henry Kabinsky, um, you heard Henry earlier, he does the cross country. He did it two years. Um, and then also, uh, Jenna Beasley, um, is a junior. I suspect she'll probably be a captain as well next year. And then I had some freshmen, um, Nathan Negate, Sophia Kashinski, uh, Kendall Dorby, Tegan Fogle, and Avery Lee, and then also Sam uh Newman was a junior and she helped us um, as well. But um I tell you, I I can't praise the mock trial program enough. Just the the competition getting kids
036to speak in front of strangers to as a witness get cross-examined by someone from another school who isn't always very nice. Uh to do an opening closing opening argument or closing argument. Um it's just really and and it was it's been so great to watch these guys grow up. Um so and then again I I also want to echo um thank you very much to the athletic director. Um he made sure that these guys got their walk of champions. It doesn't always happen with the activities and it was it was really something amazing. Some of these kids had never done a walk of champions. um he helped us make sure that getting to state and all the arrangements with that and also Miss Coburn um you know not being in the building um you know
037she'd send me email say hey you still need to do this you still need to this fill out this form and things like that so um but uh I just really appreciate them and appreciate these guys so thank you oh and I'll let I'll let Lauren Lauren threeear captain always wants to have the last word so Hello, I'm Lauren Edwards and Mocktra has been one of the most important clubs to me. Even though when I first got to Whitnull, it was one of the things that was something I joined because I came for an extracurricular to add to my resume. I came to Whitnull not knowing what I wanted to be. And after I met Joe Reading and experienced my first year on mocktra, I learned that I want to do law. I think it's
038one of the most important clubs for people to join. And when it comes to successes, it only pushes people further into knowing what the important things are. Like for one of the members that Mr. Ready mentioned, Jenna Beasley, I think she's a very good example of this. She by all means is not very much of a public speaker or wasn't as much when she joined. But over the years, I've seen her develop into an entirely more confident person. She struggles sometimes with her speech impediments, which we've had to mention a few times to judges and other comp other competitors. But over the three years that I've seen her grow, she's gotten more confident in not just her skills and abilities, but also more confident in how she is as a person, how she conducts herself.
039I believe that mocktra with all our losses and our victories at states, at regionals, and even at the little competitions that are held in the little parts of Wisconsin that you don't really think about, I believe that mock trial is just a great place for kids to learn the essential skills that some people don't think about until you're up giving a presentation in front of class and you're sweating. I believe that Mont trial is such a great program and I hope next year we'll have just as many victories as we did this year. >> Well, I can see why Lauren won first place. >> Awesome. Is that everything, bro? >> Yep, that's everything. >> Awesome. Well, thank you so much uh to everybody for being here. Thanks for the presentation. Uh, and you guys don't
040have to stay for the rest of the meeting. I mean, you're more than welcome to if you're interested, but uh, well, >> congrats everyone. Thank you. >> All right, we'll move on to four consent agenda. A, gifts and donations. B, approval of the February 23rd, 2026 meeting minutes. C, approval of March 9th, 2026 meeting minutes. D, school safety drills. E, personnel recommendations. F, vouchers, vouchers payable. G, ECCP requests fall. Would anybody like to remove an item? >> I'd like to remove C, please. >> Okay. Anyone else want to remove an item? All right. Do I have a motion to approve A, B, D, E, F, and G? >> So moved. One second. >> All in favor? >> I I >> opposed. See none. Those carry. We move on to the C. >> Regarding C, I
041just wasn't here. So, I need to abstain from that vote, please. >> Sounds good. Do I have a a motion to approve for C? >> So moved. >> I'll second. >> All in favor? >> I >> opposed. And then one abstain. All right, we will move on to five reports and presentations. A schoolboard liaison reports. Just go in the order that it's listed. Uh PTO, WMS PTO met on the 11th. Uh they have an ETN coming up on April 16th. It'll be at it'll start at 4 p.m. It's on It's at Panera on 78th in Leighton. They are currently looking for eighth grade families to volunteer for the eighth grade promotion event. Uh there is a ceremony, there's setup, there's the actual dance itself, there's takedown. So there's a lot of different roles that are
042involved outside of just providing donations uh towards the event. So if you are an eighth grade family and can help with that, they would really appreciate it. The next meeting for the middle school PTO is going to be on April 8th. We'll move over to Edertton. >> So, I just want to uh say thank you to all the volunteers. We've had a lot of um volunteering heavy events. We had a very successful school dance. Lots of volunteers and parents who just even attended and were very engaged with some dressing up, participating in hula hoop contests, all sorts of fun things. It's good to see the parents out on the floor with their kids. Um, we also have a zoo field trip uh for the entire school on Thursday and around 160 parents are attending that
043field trip. So, it's really going to be a fun day for all of us. Um, and then there are lots of open positions on the PTO. So, if anybody is looking to get involved and would like to help with spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast, any of those, you really need some volunteers to step up because we have a lot of our volunteers. their kids are moving to middle school, so we just need some more. And the school dance, our silent auction raised around $6,000 after um all the fees and things that came through. Um and thank you to all the businesses that donated. We had quite a few local businesses who help support that. Our next meeting gets moved a week because of spring break, so it'll be Thursday the 9th at 6 p.m. in the
044library. >> Right. HCU. >> Yes. Uh we just had a meeting last week. Um, couple big things coming up. There's two concerts left for the year, K5 and first grade. So, there's VIP fundraisers if you want front row seats for those. The uh week of April 20, well, April 24th is the big day at HCE. Uh, our biggest fundraiser of the year is the knowledge AON. There's the DARE graduation for fifth graders and the fifth grade dance will take place that day. So, if you're an HCE family, um over the ne right after spring break, the knowledge kickoff assembly will take place. So, your kids will come home with their fundraising sheets for that. So, keep your eyes peeled for that, please. We have an eat and earn. Um it's a little ways out, but
045a month from now at Partillo's on April 29th because we don't have another meeting again until May. And um in May there will be voting for the uh officer positions and there's still some slots that folks can express interest in either for officer spots or uh coordinator spots. So I think those are all the big things. >> Great. Move on to music boosters. >> All right. So, tomorrow there is a concert and Tri Music Honor Society is hosting a food drive and competition. Um, whichever ensemble collects the greatest number of food items will get donuts from Triump. So, um, bring some food to donate. Um, Augustana College will be here on Wednesday. Uh, there's going to be a clinic with the concert and symphonic bands. Um, so it's really cool that they come and and
046do that with our students. Um, eighth grade choir is taking a trip to the Fireside Theater in May. Um, the Fourth of July parade is still open to any middle and high school band students. Um, make sure to register through the summer school registration and um, the music teachers were really appreciative for the full day of planning. Um, at the last uh, professional development day. They were able to come up with the schedule for next year and it's really great. there's now going to be um like private lesson time or semi-private lesson time during um flight time. So, there are some adjustments in the middle school schedule to allow for them to have that. And um yeah, they're all just really excited about next year. There's actually so many students that signed up for sixth
047grade band that they're going to have two sessions, two sections of sixth grade band. So, really exciting. So, super cool. So, I can't remember like 50 either it or was 50% more enrolled or I don't know, but it was just a huge amount. So, it was really great. Lots of energy and excitement for the music programs. So, with that in mind, um obviously lots of families are involved in music and they're also looking for um people to be a part of the music boosters and um we're kind of talking about some other ways to maybe get uh families involved. So, the next meeting for music boosters is on Tuesday, April 21st. There's also a scholarship for two scholarships for seniors, and that um application is due by April 1st. So, um yeah, that's what's coming
048up for music boosters. >> Great. >> Quinn, do you have anything for Greenfield Park and Recreck? >> I do. Uh we had a special meeting uh last Monday night uh to approve a couple of uh fund transfers so that the city of Greenfield board could uh vote on the next night. And they're also very happy to hear that the high school referendum work was getting underway and they know that I will not be able to make it uh this coming Thursday. That's all. >> Okay. Thank you. I'll move on to Hills Corners Park and Rock. So, um, the 2026 summer recreation program, um, their flyer is up on the website, so make sure you check it out. The program registration begins Monday, April 13th, and it's um, pretty hot, so go get it while you
049can. Be be in there. Um, the discounted resident program is only applicable to families with a Hales Corner's property address. So, remember that. Um, go to their website, you can find out this information. And here's something else. Um, the recck department is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals who work well with kids for their program for summer. So the the application for that, the hiring flyer and application is online um on the village of Hills Corner's website as well. So check that out. >> Right. SWSA. >> All right. So, in Brady's um update from March 13th, you certainly saw that there were a couple major bills passed um Wisconsin Act 88 and Wisconsin Act 89 that concern um grooming children that that is a crime and requiring all schools to adopt policies related to that. So,
050those things will come through our policy committee. >> All right, we'll move on to 5B. superintendent report. >> Yeah. Okay. I've got some some fun stuff. We we uh the high school has been involved in testing. Uh ACT testing happened on March 10th, so all of our juniors and then our ninth and tth graders did preac last week. So, um we're excited. Um, you know, I think uh Cindy and and the team at at the high school put together a little bit more rigorous uh test prep uh um program and we actually had I don't think any opt outs >> being done for the prem. >> We Okay, so we had zero optouts for the ACT and one for the uh the preac. So that's a pretty pretty nice uh uh thing and and the
051great work to the high school for for have for achieving that. Um, we talked a few weeks ago about the the play the playhouse that Huxley and and Olivia completed for their Ner NextG challenge that got delivered uh to the to the young man who who had cancer and uh he was just ecstatic to to receive that. So, um hopefully I can we'll get some pictures and maybe some videos uh to include in an update uh in an upcoming week. Of course, um you wouldn't know it now, but we had a snow day last week. Uh so and then it all melted. So that was a a great day. I think uh kind of our our systems, you know, worked pretty well um as far as communications and and things like that. Um March 19th,
052the the middle school uh had their eighth grade Battle of the Books team placed 25th out of 168 teams >> uh across the state of Wisconsin. So congrats to them. And um of course the with the beginning of March Madness last week um the middle school had their PBIS watch party. So that was kind of fun to go and watch and work uh at at the same time. So it was it was it was neat. They had in the gym they've got all the basketball games going. The kids can have popcorn and some of those kinds of things. Then a really uh special event happened on March 14th during the WIA Division 2 state championship ca game. The WIA celebrated the 50th anniversary of the inaugural girls basketball tournament. So 50 years ago um by
053recognizing the 16 participating teams. Whitnull High School happened to be one of the teams that played in that inaugural um basketball tournament 50 years ago. So, uh, three of the players, uh, Doris, Patty, and and Lynn, uh, got to participate in that recognition over in Green Bay at the state tournament. So, that was definitely up on Facebook, but, uh, definitely cool to cool to see, um, that that tradition of excellence is continuing. I know Brock shared, uh, how great our girls team did this year as well. So, so really great. And then final thing, the the winter edition of the wood in the window, uh, should have been received. So, um, that's out and we're getting ready for the next one already. So, that's that's all everything I have for you. Sounds good. Move on
054to six, discussion with future action. Hey, Wisconsin act 57 2025 policy updates. First read. >> Yeah, I can tee that up. So, uh, this is just, uh, so act 57. There was a lot of there a few things that came out in in the legislative session um, this this last winter. uh one of which is act 57 and that had to do with um the reporting of of um sexual misconduct by staff members towards students. Uh obviously of course something we never want to talk about but it it means I mean never want to experience but uh it did require us to make some policy adjustments. Um, so these are the policy adjustments. The policy committee had a chance to read them and and just said just they're pretty straightforward. Um, as far as timing
055of reporting, those things, things that staff really should avoid doing uh to keep themselves uh, you know, away from trouble. Um, you know, Karen did mention that, you know, at uh 88 and 89, I think were the numbers. uh uh they um they were just recently uh signed by the governor. Uh so I would anticipate that this these these three policies somewhere down the line in the spring we'll have some more updates based on on that as well. But so this is just your first read. Um so it's up to you. If you have any questions, please just, you know, feel free to call me or email me and I'm happy to do it. I don't know if any of the policy committee has anything that they'd like to share. I think um the one
056thing we had looked over the requirements and just making sure that um we had adjusted the hugging piece a little bit just because we're a school. We have young children and there are times where like you might win state and you might hug a coach and so we wanted to make sure that we weren't scaring staff into being cold individuals to children but obviously making sure we're appropriate in our behavior with students as well. So, so that'll be back uh next time, but please do email or call if you have any questions about those. >> I just one one general question. So, this basically when I looking through this, >> the stuff in green is updates to current policies to reflect that. We're not we don't have to make a brand new policy because we
057already have one that addresses it in general. >> Yep. We update the policies. >> Okay. >> Sometimes because right sometimes they require a brand new one. This isn't a new policy. It's it's taking the law and figuring out which >> integrating it into the policy. >> Okay. >> And I'm correct in saying that even though we know there will probably be changes to this, it is timesensitive that we get this this part of the update approved >> right to be in compliance with Act 57. All right, sounds good. Move on to 6B 2026 2027 compensation increases. Teacher support staff, professional, technical, supervisor, and administrator increases. >> John come up and thank you, sir. Okay, I think we're set. Sorry about that. Uh so, uh this is the annual um uh salary increases. Um I won't
058I'll kind of go a little quickly since it's all in your packet and three of you have already sat through this one. So uh we'll go through this. Uh this uh the reason we're getting it today is because we do want to get teacher contracts out. Um so that gives us the two the two board meetings to approve it and then um get it get those 200 some or 200 contracts out in time. We have support staff LOAs coming up and then um admin contracts coming contracts coming up in June uh which Brady will bring back specifically at that point. But um when those are done, but we do want to get these uh done for the teacher contracts to get them out. Uh for the teacher, uh educator UAI, uh for the second year
059in a row, uh we are project or um recommending higher than CPI. Uh last year was 2.95 and ended up being closer to 3.1. This year, CPI ended up at 2.63. We're still continuing to recommend the three 3% which is the same as it was last year at $2,000 flat fee a flat stipened across the board. Uh the total cost of that with benefits uh would be 44 about just less than $445,000 uh with those stipulations over on the left based on FTEES and nonps. Uh also, uh while we're still continuing as part of the strategic plan to work on an overall comp model and we'll continue to do that, um we said last year we were going to um value the the work that was done previously from the comp model when Christian Taylor
060was here and use the the three bands. So, we looked at that along with that previous slide. there's an additional just less than $5,500 for uh staff members that would would bump up because of the model specifically. And then uh for support staff again once again we CPI is still 2.63 so that we bump that up or left that at 70 cents which we did last year which also again equated to a 3%. Uh the total cost of that with salary and benefits is projected uh to just over $137,000. And then professional techn technical supervisor and admin salary increases uh last year. Uh CPI was 2.95 and that's what uh we did for administrators uh professional technical and supervisors. we did bump up to match uh teaching staff which has been normally the the way
061we do it is do it with the same percentage that that teaching staff did. Uh so this year with 2.63 CPI we recommendation is the same as everybody else which was 3% uh for a total increase for all three of those groups uh of just uh just over $89,000. And so the total for all of these are listed up there. So 676,337 would be the total for salary and benefits for this total increase. Uh in doing some initial projections about where we're going to end up and what we're um we we are conservatively going to get for the 325 increase and special ed increase um for for this next year. uh that that came to about 500 or came to $529,000 initial projection which would leave us a little short to cover this but we
062we feel uh in really looking at uh staff red potential staff reductions retirements and then fund 50 contributions to this which I didn't break out individually but there's a little bit of that that we feel like this would be covered uh as part of that all those taken into effect so we should be able to cover this uh for next here. So, again, went through that pretty quick. Uh, any questions or anything that that any recommendations or information from that? >> Go ahead, Quinn. >> John, how does fund 50 uh how does this land under fund 50? >> Uh, because this takes into account everybody, which are some of our food service staff. >> So, it's just not equipment, it's staff as well. It's not equipment. >> Not equipment. >> Correct. Yeah. Fun 50 is
063all food service. Yep. Which includes staffing. Correct. >> Thank you. >> Any other questions for John or the policy committee as a whole? All right. Thank you. Thank you very much. >> All right. Not policy personnel. >> I just caught myself there. There you go. All right. We'll move on to seven action. Nothing >> is do you have a presentation or is it >> okay? >> I will I will move to approve uh 7A as presented unless it is >> I just got one update. >> You got one more. Oh, and I will hold on. >> Um okay. Uh just one update. Um so we shifted our variances a little bit at the high school as Cindy's been working um you know plugging in kids now as we're at this point. Um, also with the
064approval of ECCP and start college now, there's a whole bunch of classes that come out of kids schedules as they're going to need to travel to get to um, WCTC, MATC, EWM, any of those places. Um, so we are no longer um, seeking a variance for fitness trends as we've moved those students into other electives. And we're also going to stack um AP drawing and painting is going to be stacked with drawing and painting instead of there was three different classes that were stacked together. So this also helps us fall in line with our uh scheduling priorities in within the staffing plan. And Cindy also discussed this with all the uh building BLC leaders. So everybody who's involved in that scheduling process already knows. And that's my only update. Right. Um I will move to
065approve with the items that Adam mentioned. >> I'll second. >> Any other discussion around the course variances? >> Seeing none. All in favor? >> I >> opposed. 7 A carries. Thank you. We move on to 7B. Do I have a motion to approve 7B as presented? >> So move. >> I'll second. >> Right. CG. We were making the joke on the way here. All right. >> He pulled it out. >> Okay. All right. >> Everybody was nervous. Dan, nervous. You made it. >> Anybody remember last time that we have to rehash it? >> Yeah. Come on. >> Yeah, they're going to come out more time. So, we'll just keep >> three years from now. >> I've already forgotten. Sure. >> Well, the good news is um we're over with this meeting. We're over halfway done
066of going through these different word categories. Um so today on the agenda, >> which we're uh we plug in there, do we have a cord that we can just plug in? >> Yeah, I do. >> I think that this laptop just doesn't work with the connector very well. that reach otherwise I can make it longer. >> That's got downgraded Kate. So, as you get that set up, but we have we have 12 work categories that we're going to present today. Um, and like many of the groupings in the past, we've gotten really good bid coverage on on most of the categories. Um, which you'll see today. We're going to go through the bid awards today to kind of show where we um stand overall with budgets and some of the different components that we've secured
067up until this point. Um, and then hit on schedule, kind of show you what's coming up in the next month. So, we have two more meetings uh presenting work categories and then it should be through each of the four bid cate bid packages um for Edertton >> trying to get Hail's Corners in the middle school. >> Sorry. >> And then we'll end it just with any questions. I didn't have this presentation ready. Sorry. You can all see my calendar though. There's >> a guy though. >> I'm not able to get it to load. >> Do you want like one of ours that has it loaded already? >> We try. >> We probably don't have the right ports. The Chromebooks have the right port. >> That's true. We might not. >> This is the right way.
068Try that. >> Technical difficulties. >> Yeah. I'm not going to have me walk here. Got it on her screen. >> Yeah. It shares to the the people watching them. Try it again. >> HDMI. >> She sounds a C. >> It's a C. >> Oh, it is. Oh, okay. You just got to bring up your browser and then it >> was it was on there when I had it >> or it's extending the screen. >> It's going to drop. Is it? >> So you have to like pull it to the other one. So this is Yay. I know how to advance it. >> It's a PDF. So, >> you can just arrow down on the left there, too. >> Perfect. >> There we go. >> So, Dan can take it over. We'll start with the high
069school. High school. First one up is interior demolition. So, a lot of the scope is uh your floor wall ceiling removal. And we do have some shoring that has to happen for some of the wall beings that were created. Um the qualified bid only bidder was CGMED slightly under the budget but we did ask uh six other biders um that have bid to us in the past um but they declined to bid on the job. It's >> just because they're like busy or >> I think it's a combination of many things. There's a lot of work out there. Uh this particular work scope is spread out over two years. There's two different summers and it's a lot of little chunks to add up. Um which some of them are kind of geared for one large
070job. >> There's a couple ways we try >> go ahead. I am glad that uh it came in under the proposed budget and that uh you guys got it because you're in general and you're not going to go anywhere. So if it had to be, it's it's good that it's you. And one question about the 50,000 stoing allowance. So if you don't use the 50,000, you give it back. >> Correct. >> Thank you. >> All right. Next one is masonry. This is kind of all the the interior block and then the structural block related to the addition of the brick that's on the outside. Um kind of throughout the building. Um, I'd say the majority of it is related to the addition, but there's still a lot of interior renovation work with block walls that
071will happen throughout the course of the project. We got five bids. Um, three of them in the twos, one three, and one in the 4 million range. We are going to go with the the JAC masonry, uh, the low bidder TV John's. um after kind of some time elapse from bid time to now they've gotten a lot more work and they weren't able to be able to man our job and this current project so they kind of retreated so we're recommending JC for that one next one is air barriers uh so this is kind of exterior spray foam um as well as some fluid air barrier just to help seal up the enclosure of the addition two bids one from CM Morris 140s and master foam 171. Our budget was like 145, so we're recommending
072CMOS for the air barrier scope drywall. This is uh as far as scope goes, it's our structural stud framing. Um the sheathing on the outside of the building, the interior metal stud framing, insulation, and drywall. Budget was over 900,000. We received three bids. Uh, common links is the lowest qualified bidder, just under 800,000. Another 850 and then a third bid was over 900,000. So, we're recommending common links for Darw metal panels. So, this is um related to the addition that's kind of the outside skin of the building. Um, there's some ACM panels. There's some deferring associated with holding up those panels. There's some sophets that uh are part of this work. Our budget was over 800,000. Um we did receive four bids. Uh one winer construction, second one was from Musa um slightly more. It
073was like $25,000 more. Uh, and then Langanger was just under 500,000 and Nations was over 600,000. We're recommending Musa for this one and we feel like the premium that we're paying is going to give us dividends in the long run because MUA was involved with the basis of design for the building that that Bray worked on. So, a lot of the details are already kind of meshed in to the project and with the small gap that was there, we felt uh that'll be a win for the project in the long run. Um, next one is wood floors. This is replacing the wood floors in both gyms. So, the small gym and the the competition gym as well as replacing the the wood floor on the stage in the auditorium when that time comes. Uh we
074received three bids there. Um I guess backing up the budget was just under 490,000. Um ProStar Schmidt custom floors and and basement rollers um was a $5,000 spread between one and two. Um, and we're recommending Schmidt custom floors. Uh, just because our we've had a pretty good experience working with them and I know that the district Todd has worked with Schmidt on the past for for maintenance process. So, there's some some comfort level. We know who we're getting. And then last one for the high school is epoxy flooring. So, we have a resonous flooring system that is going to be scattered out all different areas of of the buildings, but the locker rooms will get it, the kitchen's going to get it, the science rooms get it. Um, those are kind of the main areas.
075The budget was just under 700,000 and we received four bids. They're all in the 400. So, we got a nice tight group of biders there and we're recommending Massiey's coding for 443. and I'll turn over to Tyler for hydrogen. Y we go through uh five work categories tonight. So masonry, glass, fire protection, plumbing, and HVAC. Starting with masonry, a pretty tight uh grouping with our budget of 865,000. Our scope of work is structural and non-structural block, brick, bomb beam, setting setting lentils. um be recommending Walsh to proceed with glass and glazing. Their scope of work is aluminum frames, hardware, glass, and brake metal for all the exterior and interior openings. Um again, another nice grouping. Um a little over budget, but they came in at Klein Dicker came in at 647,000. We'd be recommending to
076proceed with that. for fire protection on the addition and tie-ins to the existing um this includes t tapping into the bulk main all the branch piping and the sprinkler heads um our budget is 103,000 would be recommending Ryan fire protection to proceed with that 110 plumbing which they have in this scope uh domestic water sanitary drains the underground pip piping tie-ins to the uh the water man and all the fixtures. Again, we got a ton of numbers, eight biders on this one. Um our budget of 552,000. We're recommending to proceed with Z mechanical for 699,000 and HVAC the page. So this is all the mechanical equipment, the air handlers, chillers, um all the duct work associated gas piping, some of the boilers, pumps, controls, and controls wiring. The budget of 2.8 million, a pretty pretty
077close gap between all of the biders there as well. Um we'd be recommending to proceed with design mechanical as well for 2.9 >> question. Yeah, I have a question. So, it seems like Edertton consistently is like over the budget of like our initial planned budget and I was just curious uh or like it's not like you're choosing higher ones, but like the ones that were even going with just the ranges are all higher than what we budgeted and I was just kind of curious like what's causing that difference. Sometimes when the budget goes out, you know, sometimes the how that work gets done isn't always precise once the final drawings come out. So once the biders finally get their heads into it, that can kind of come in come into play. Um, looking at the
078overall scope of Edertton, a lot of the bigger ones that are over budget have already been presented. So you'll see in the summary that's going to come up. It's going to show that we're, you know, 400,000 over, but that number is going to go down as we're as we get closer to fully bought. >> Okay. And then we don't anticipate that like during the project it could go up even more, right? Is that are they beholden basically to what this >> Yeah. Once the subcontract's issued, it's locked in. >> Okay. So, it couldn't go up any or it couldn't change anymore after the fact. >> Okay. I just want to make sure. >> Yeah. will create a guaranteed maximum price that will have some risk reserves built into it which we call that contingency. Um
079but yeah, that's the guaranteed price. Um once we lock it in with the subcontract unless the scope changes or the schedule changes, that's the number they're committed to doing the work for. >> Yeah, it just seems like when we've looked at it, usually often times the high school's been a little bit under, but Ederson's been a little bit higher. and I just was concerned if that could change or in the future. So, okay. Thank you. >> And as far as the high school summary to date, um we've kind of went through $33 million worth of work and we're about 1.2 almost 1.3 million on. So, we're we're kind of hitting from when the bids came in and where we saw things to where we're kind of cutting the loose and we're right there. And when
080we get into some more finishes, uh next time there's be some more pickup that that's coming. So, high school's in a really good spot. And then Edertton, um kind of to date, we're about 400,000 over. Uh we kind of anticipated that be about 300,000 when we're all done. So, um, it's the worst of it's over. So, it'll it'll get a little tighter, um, as we continue, but overall project wise, we're we're in really good shape from current bidding environment. I got one more slide on here for some roofing stuff. >> Yeah. So, this is uh the the owner project, which is the uh the roofing projects from the capital improvement plan. Um these uh roofing projects will cover all of the roofing that was listed on the capital improvement plan. It brings us to sitting
081in a really good spot of the oldest roof on any building is approximately 12 years old. Um and that and uh we did a lot of roofing in 2018. So most of our roofing is going to be, you know, very new. We're going to be sitting in a really good spot after we're done with this work. So here at the high school, we had three qualified biders. Uh, Langer came in at $2.7 million. There's over 30 sections of roof that we're doing on this building, anywhere from 500 square feet to over 100,000 square feet. So, there's a massive amount of roof that's going to get done here at the high school. Uh, at the middle school, uh, Nation's roofing came in at uh, $233,000. Again, at the middle school, that's going to bring the oldest
082section of roof to from 2018. So, we're sitting in a really good spot at the middle school. Uh qualified bidder at Edertton Elementary. Uh Shran's roofing came in at 685,000. Uh again, same same thing there. The oldest section of roof on that building will be 8 years old. So, we're sitting in a really good spot. Uh qualified biders at Hails Corners Elementary. This is for one section of roof over the 1993 edition on the building. Uh they came in at $148,000. Uh that's FJA Christensen. So total uh project budget for all four buildings was 4.5 million. Uh the bid subtotal about 3.8. So we're under budget by a little over $700,000. Just uh kind of total for a lot of the large line items and the total project budget. High school being under about 1.2
083million. Easin about 400,000 over our abatement bid results netted the savings about 400,000 and the savings on the the owner roof projects um were just under 2 million under budget. So a great place to be in this time process. >> Yeah, obviously we'd like all the projects to come in right on budget and show that our estimating is right on. Um but in some cases like this there is some fluctuation in that. So Edertton being a tick over right now, we're anticipating that will come down a little bit, but we've been able to capture quite a bit of savings from the design development fund on the high school side. Um, which I think is going to help us move forward and, you know, bring some discussions to uh the district and to the board for
084uh potential things to put back into the project. We got uh like two more meetings slated. Um both both meetings in April. We'll be bringing more to you, but we're hopeful by end of April we'll have majority of it wrapped up. >> Go ahead. >> I just I'm have no questions for you or any concerns with this. I'm going to abstain from the vote tonight because I have a relationship with one of the bid providers. So I just wanted to estain to protect the integrity of it. >> Sounds good. Um if there are no other questions, we had a first and we had a second. Uh all in favor? >> I >> opposed and one abstain. Thank you very much. >> Thank you. Move on to 7 C. Do I have a motion to approve
0857C? >> Some more second. >> Um >> yeah, we can open up we can open up for discussion. >> We sent out the draft. Um you want to go ahead and >> Yeah. So, um, at last meeting, you know, the board had obviously requested that they send a letter, uh, to the city of Greenfield just saying, "Hey, um, we've got we think we have a pretty good thing going here with Officer Susie. We support, um, you know, her staying, uh, and, uh, the the dog therapy dog Gizmo staying. Um, you know, so there's some interest in having some, uh, or or discussing that a little bit. So, we put it on tonight. I did draft a letter that I shared um in our address network to draft a letter uh that we we certainly could
086send. Um as I said, I can't make any guarantees what that letter will do, but it just kind of shows, hey, we we support Susie's been a a great for us. Kones has been a an asset to our buildings. So, um, you know, if it's something the board would would like to do, I had to send that. I did speak to Mayor Nitsky. I just let him know that, you know, there may be something coming. Uh, and he said, "Okay." Can't he's like, "I can't guarantee that's going to change anything, but yeah." So, that's that's kind of where we're at. I'm not sure if there's any questions or >> I like it. Go ahead. >> Um, I'm fine with like the intent. Are we going to make any changes like following approval of our mark?
087Can we pull some of that out? >> Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. >> And I don't know. I mean, I would be fine delegating that any adjustments to this. Jesse, go to you and Brady because some of the I mean, I don't know. I I get I understand and am in agreement with the sentiment, but um I does the mayor make the decision. Is the mayor involved in the decision- making? >> I mean, >> yes. I mean, >> okay, I I guess maybe that without knowing the the the details of city government as in depth as um I would imagine he's the spokesperson we would communicate with. Um >> Okay. >> We certainly could write it to the chief, the acting chief, too. It doesn't matter, but it would be like, does the superintendent >> uh
088run the schools? Well, >> yeah. But you know what I like from a chain of command perspective, but I'm happy to send it to the chief as well. >> Okay. I mean, why not? >> Yeah. >> Could you send? >> Go ahead. >> I was just going to say I'm in agreement with this letter, I'm fine with sending it. Um, if we need to send it to the chief of police and mayor, whatever is the proper procedure. It looks good. I'm fine with the wording and I'm happy with the intent. >> Go ahead, Quinn. >> Yeah. I I agree. I think the uh I think it touches all the bases that we want touched and with our relationship with officers and Gizmo and I think it's well written and I really appreciate the work that's
089put into this and uh let's get it off to as many to at least me or Mike and if if uh it would give to the police chief that'd be awesome as well. Thank you. Is there anything in there wording wise, Cassie, that you want to change that we can adjust? >> I mean, the >> I mean, obviously, we I think we're in agreement that we want to send it off. It's just more of >> Yeah, I think I mean, I would like that it's the following formal approval at our meeting. I mean, I don't know if we'd need that in there. That's maybe a nitpick thing on my part. Um, and I do I like the the element that with their they're a pair and a part they're partners, Officer Susie and Gizmo. And
090so we're getting like a double bene, you know, like the the officer, the K9 officer, I don't know if he's considered a K9 officer, but is as much of a benefit to the students as the human SRO. So I like that that point's made in there as well. >> Um, >> sure. We can we can I'm fine with taking that other point off. It doesn't it doesn't change the >> Right. Yeah. >> Okay. So yeah, intent of it. >> I'll work on that. I'll send it to you and we can go from there. >> That should be fine. But we're all in agree. It sounds like we're all in agreement on sending it out. So it's just cleaning it up. >> So um >> formal vote. >> Um since it's on there, I'll just do
091that just to keep with how we're doing things. So all in favor? >> I >> opposed. Okay, we'll send that letter out. >> Do we know when they're making the decision? you know, I I don't know that. Um I the last time I spoke to the chief, they were posting or putting it out to >> Sure. >> Uh you know, the I'm not sure 100% the process. Um but I would anticipate soon. So I think we're we'll >> this is a good timing. >> All right, we'll move on to eight announcements. Does anyone have anything for announcements? I will just put in a plug for Hamlet coming up. So, let's see. Get your tickets. Um, High School Musical Junior coming up in May. So, sounds good. All right. There's nothing else for announcements. Does anybody
092have anything for meeting debrief? Okay. Do I have a motion to adjurnn the meeting? So >> move a second. >> All in favor? >> I >> opposed. Meeting adjourned. Thank you everyone. Thank you everybody. She didn't like doing it in
