001Everybody ready? No. I'd like to call this meeting order. Roll call, please. President Michael Flores. Here. Vice President Lindy Heath. Here. Governing Member Chris Gillespie. Here. Governing Member George Arradondo. Here. Governing Member Victoria Quintero. Here. We have quorum. Welcome, everyone. Happy April, if we can all stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Moving on to the approval of the agenda. Second. Motion's been made by Board Member Gillespie, seconded by Board Member Quinteto. All those in favor? Yes. Yes, motion passes by all. Moving on to public participation. No public participation. There will be none. Any presentations by principals? And first up is Michelle Gonzalez. Good evening. Welcome to fourth quarter. We are in that final stretch. And in that final stretch, we actually had testing last week. So our ninth grade students took ACT Aspire. We had

00294 students complete their test day one. Our juniors took ACT and AZ Sci. For ACT, we had 95% completion and AZ Sci, 98% completion. That was including our makeup today. So we are going strong with that. Twenty six twenty seven course selections will be taking place this month. Our counselors will be visiting the junior high. So our incoming ninth graders can select their courses for next school year. And then with fourth quarter we just have a lot of end of the year celebrations while our programs will have recitals. Prom is this Friday if you guys are interested and want to come check out the kids when they get all dressed up. And so just be on the lookout for a lot of invitations for end of the year things happening. Thank you. Michelle, where is

003the prom going to be? At the windmill. Yep. Thank you. Principal Gonzalez. Good evening. Along the same lines of mr. Gonzalez as well. I'm sure the rest of the principles testing. We're still in a full swing of testing right now a CT a CT aspire a ASA AZ sigh and everything else you could possibly imagine because a ASA as far as CVA junior high students. Attendance is a little low right now, but we have plenty of time to get the makeup. So we're about 75% done with AASA with our junior high kids. ACT for CVA, we're about 90%. And again, we have some time there. ACT Aspire for CVA will be this coming Monday. On the cap side, ACT Aspire, which is ninth graders, we're about 90% completed. ACT, I'm proud to say we're at

00497%. We're looking up for that hundred, but there's this one student that we're just we're trying to figure it out AZ size about 90% for CAP the other tasks that we've kind of presented for ourself or Challenge we've accepted is to look for the students that at one point have either Transfer schools left the district for various reasons whatever reason Mrs. Hodge was gracious enough to give me a list of those students. I started reaching out to them over spring break and happy to say that we've had 19 of those students that have returned. We did rob three of those students from a different online academy. So parents were more than welcome and excited that we had spotting rooms available for them. So that was exciting. To date we have a total of 29 grads,

00514 of those on the CAP side and 15 of those on the CVA side. Our CAP and CVA juniors and seniors are also planning on attending CHS Prom at the windmill, so I'm looking forward to seeing them there. Thank you. All right, thank you. Thank you. Principal Dix. So like everyone else we've been working on our high stakes testing. We are at 97 percent completion for our writing test which is the one of the first ones that is due and our AZ PSY test as well. So after calling and getting kids to come into school for those makeup days on there we're really happy to say that we met our goal to get that 95 percent or above for both the AZ PSY and the AASA writing. We start on our AASA ELA tomorrow and

006then next week. have the second day of ELA and both days of math. So lots of good stuff going on there. We're actually super proud of our kids when they took the math or the writing test. We couldn't get them to stop writing. It was a good problem to have. We had allowed for a two and a half hour testing window and we just had to keep expanding it. They needed more time. So next year we're going to have to have a schedule for just a writing day and allow like a four hour window for our kids because we put such an emphasis. on it that we really need to allow them to have that time for thinking without the interruptions of all right if you're going to keep going so are we. So it's

007an exciting problem to have. Our FFA students actually spent some amazing time today at both elementary schools and they put together a program so the FFA students went over there they brought little baby chicks with them and they shared the chicks with the students and the chicks walked through the life cycle of a chicken and they got to hold them and at the end they got to choose a little fake fuzzy chick that they got to do a little birth certificate for and then they folded a little cardboard house that the little chick lives in. and then they got to take their little chick home. Amazing feedback, we already had positive emails coming from the elementaries, which we appreciate the feedback, but we're so proud of the kids for going over and doing that. And

008our FFA program is just doing an amazing job. I don't know all the wording of it, but they were named a Superior Chapter, so they received the Superior Chapter Award in their very first year in being. and so just doing a great job at that. They also had many students at the Pinal County Fair that placed in both market and showmanship. So just doing an amazing job. We have our quarter four sports up and running. We have two teams of boys basketball because there were so many students that went out. And then we have our girls soccer, boys soccer, and cheer that's all going on. So look for the schedule, come on out and cheer on the Cubs. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Assistant Principal Skila. I did not mess up your name tonight.

009Thank you. I appreciate that. Good evening. I'm not going to start with state testing yet because we want to talk about our Battle of the Books. We finished up our school Battle of the Books championships. Congratulations to our winners. We would like to invite you guys to our district wide finals pitting the winning teams from West and Heartland which will be held at CHS in the media center on the 21st at 530. So huge shout out to our Battle of the Books winners. Then I'll go into state testing just like the rest. Our kids are doing fantastic. They are very enthusiastic about taking the test as much as you can be about taking a test. But I want to give a huge shout out to our teachers for being that voice for them telling them

010you've got this. Keep going. We're excited for the results coming up. We do have a hundred percent done in writing. We have. 100 percent done in third grade ORF. We only have three students left in our AZ Psi. That's it. If they're here tomorrow they're gonna be done tomorrow. So we do have our part 1 and part 1 of math and ELA next week and part 2 the following week. At this rate we're going to have 100 percent. So I'm excited. A couple events coming up we'd like to invite you to. April 20th, our wonderful kindergarten team is hosting its annual Donuts with the Grown Ups in our cafeteria from 145 to 245. Come on over, have a donut. And then May 7th, save the date, we have our annual spring concert for music and

011dance at the Pack. Unsure of the time quite yet, but we will let you know. And Skyla I just have to say I've heard from many people you've been doing a great job while Mr. Bruno's out. So thank you for that. Thank you. Hard shoes to fill. I'm trying. Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you. Principal Ferguson. OK. So for West I'm going to start with testing. I'll go backwards to Skyla. So we the three tests that are due tomorrow for us fifth grade science. AASA writing for three through five and third grade oral reading fluency that are due tomorrow. We are 100% done with all three tests. We are getting new kids as we speak and so we've been, Ms. Sheridan thankfully is very good at all of that and so she has been

012working with curriculum to get them added as quickly as possible. And some of our paras are amazing at helping us with that makeup testing. So she's worked really hard to get even all of our new students that have started as of yet to be all caught up on those testing. So we're excited to be 100% done with those. And then we're looking forward. We did reading yesterday and today, and then we have math next week, and then we are done, and then just makeup tests after that to hopefully hit that 100% for all tests is our goal. We are excited about some of our I called them inner school activities. So like Dr. Dick said we had the CJHS FFA come today. They brought chicks and they worked with our kindergarten classes. I unfortunately did

013not get to go see them. It was during our testing time but Ms. Garcia shared that they they had a different activity in every classroom with the chicks. So not the same thing for all four classrooms. They had four different activities. for the four different classrooms that they worked in with the kindergarten classrooms all involving the chicks but different activities some sorting some sequencing some matching they had to adopt a chick they had to learn about the chicks so a lot of really good activities. Miss Garcia said she was very impressed with the activities that were planned for them and she loved watching them so she did a post on Facebook. So if you haven't seen it check that out. And then next week we have NHS from the high school is coming and they

014are doing two separate days of activities and they are doing. Some kind of hands on activity some more fun activities some volunteer hours that they needed and so they're coming for K2 on Monday and they're coming with 3 5 on Thursday. And again they have everything planned. They sent all of their presentations to Miss Sheridan to be pre-approved weeks ago. They put everything together themselves so we're really excited to have those. The kids just seem to love that interaction with the junior high and high school students and so we're really excited for them to be able to do that. Again like Skyla said we have. all the books April 21st with West versus Heartland and we have our music events coming up the end of this month so April 29th is our kinder through third

015grade and our band and choirs are April 30th so a couple weeks out we're almost there all right moving on to the governing board outstanding service or character award principal Ferguson so I would like to call up miss Ava Felix So Miss Ava was nominated by her second grade teacher Miss Ashley Coyle who is with us tonight as well. And here's what Miss Coyle had to say. Ava joined my class at the beginning of this school year full of energy and enthusiasm. Since then she has worked diligently to grow both behaviorally and academically. I've enjoyed watching Ava develop a genuine interest in her classwork and build stronger more positive relationships with her classmates. I'm incredibly proud of the effort she has shown and the progress she continues to make each day. I look forward to

016seeing all that Ava will accomplish as the school year continues. We would like to invite Nova Rubio. Nova Rubio was nominated by her teacher, Mrs. Melissa. And this is what she has to say about you. Nova has shown incredible growth and dedication this year, truly earning this special recognition. She has worked so hard and continues to excel in all subjects. Nova always gives her best effort and pushes herself to learn more each day. Nova is not only a strong student, but also a wonderful friend and role model to her classmates. She leads with kindness, shows respect to others, and brings a positive, caring spirit into the classroom. With her sweet heart and determination, Nova makes our classroom a better place every single day. Her proud first grade teacher, Mrs. Melissa, who's also here tonight. Principal

Principal Gonzales. Cap would like to call

018up Miss Jasleen Hernandez. Miss Jasleen was nominated by myself. Jasleen is a senior at Coolidge alternative program. Excuse me, who has demonstrated outstanding character, determination, and personal responsibility. Finishing her coursework ahead of schedule is a testament to her strong work ethic and commitment to her goals. Jasleen is a quiet individual who carries herself with confidence and respect. She communicates effectively, advocates for herself when needed, and consistently demonstrates maturity and growth. One of her most notable qualities is her kindness. She is often the first to greet others. creating a welcoming and positive environment for both peers and staff. There is no doubt that Jasleen will accomplish anything she sets her mind to and will achieve any goals she sets for herself. Her character, drive, and positive attitude will continue to lead her to success. Her character

019reflects the values we strive to instill in all students, responsibility, respect, and integrity. Jasleen Hernandez is truly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations on this well-earned honor. Miss Gonzales. Coolidge High School would like to recognize Tatiana Pablo. Tatiana was nominated by Mr. Glasgow. Mr. Glasgow wrote I would like to nominate Tatiana Pablo for student of the month. Tatiana is the definition of a quiet shy and humble student who consistently lets her actions speak louder than her words. Both on the court and in the classroom she demonstrates an exceptional work ethic and a commitment to excel to excuse me to excellence that sets her apart. As a franchise player and a true role model, Tatiana leads by example. Her dedication, perseverance, and team-first attitude inspire those around her. She approaches every challenge with determination and grace, making

020her a heartwarming success story that reflects what hard work and character can achieve. In the classroom, Tatiana is a good student who is respectful, focused, and responsible. She shows kindness to her peers and maintains a positive attitude, earning the respect of both classmates and teachers alike. Tatiana is not only one of my favorite players, but also a student who truly embodies the values we hope to see in all students. For these reasons, I proudly nominate her for Student of the Month. As always, if you nominated one of these fantastic kids, would you come up and have a photo with them? SPEAKER 2 All right moving on to the governing board outstanding service awards presented by Skyla and principal Ferguson. SPEAKER 3 It is my great pleasure to ask Ms. Marcella Whipple to come on up.

021I'd like to say that Mr. Bruno is the only one to nominate her but I'm going to kind of add my name to the bottom of this too. So from both of us we would like to say it gives us great pleasure to recognize Mrs. Marcella Whipple for this month's outstanding service award. Mrs. Whipple is our math interventionist here at Heartland Ranch but she is so much more than that. She is a leader serving our school leadership committee offering suggestions ideas and guidance to our teachers and paras. She is the consummate team player, and she is always the first to volunteer to assist in any of our after-school programs or events, even before she knows what's really happening. For those events, they can get detailed and draw very large crowds. It's comforting to know that

022she is there, running around, acting like an unofficial third administrator. She'll always volunteer herself or her para if there is a duty that needs covering or a person is needed somewhere. Lastly, she is an educator. Her students absolutely adore her and love coming to her class for small groups. Every single one of her students in intervention groups makes growth with many making so much that they'll test out of needing intervention and return to their schedule their classes regular schedule. Her intervention students frequently score the highest amount of growth of any of our students on our benchmark assessments which speaks of her ability as a teacher. Her passion for education, high skill set, and can-do attitude make her an invaluable member of our team, and we are very lucky to have her. I will say that

023when Marcella decided to not be a kindergarten teacher, I was super disappointed because, like, she is the absolute best. I agree that like she gets to work with so many more kids now so which is which is fantastic and we get to be the benefit of all of her talent. So thank you Marcella. For West I'd like to call it Miss Stephanie Cordova. So Miss Stephanie was nominated by West School Leadership and Miss Shaylin Timmons. We kind of threw her into our nomination to help us nominate her. So this month we are honored to nominate our dance teacher Stephanie Cordova. Stephanie has been an amazing asset to our school for the last two years. We are so thankful that she joined our staff. She works with all K-3 students a few times a year and

024works daily with our fourth and fifth graders. The amount of creativity and dedication that are shown in the dance room daily are an inspiration to all. We asked Ms. Timmons our high school dance teacher for her thoughts on Stephanie and this is what she said. Stephanie is someone who inspires me greatly. Together this year we experimented with bridging an opportunity for high school students to teach at West. It was a great success in the winter show and we are excited to continue the partnership. She has given the high school students valuable feedback in their approach to teaching elementary dancers. Her commitment to helping her students grow in their artistry is evident. I admire I admire how dedicated she is to finding music and themes that the students love and you can tell they resonate with

025these choices on stage. Her ability to teach professionalism to our elementary. dancers is evident in the organization of her shows. Stephanie is such a yes let's try it teacher and there is nobody else I would rather continue to grow a district program alongside of. We are so honored to have Stephanie as a West School Tiger and look forward to watching our dance program grow for years to come. If you don't know this about Stephanie when I was a first year principal at Coolidge High School Stephanie was a para for us and worked with Anna Holland and She's infectious and the kids love her and so we're blessed to have her as part of our as part of our team. Thank you Stephanie. Thank you. Moving on to the consent agenda. I make a motion to

026approve the consent agenda. Second. Motions are made by vice president he's seconded by board member Quintero. All those in favor. Yes. Yes. Motion passes by all. Moving on to human resources. Discussion and possible action to approve the administrative contracts for the 2026-2027 school year. So if you remember last year we brought a new salary schedule for admin contracts and that really was just to get us back to somewhere close to where our surrounding districts were at. We're still below. a little bit below some of our surrounding districts as far as our admin salaries, but we're a little more competitive now. And so this just adds that 2% that we're offering to all staff for this year. I would like to say to our administrators that we know how hard you are working. You have such

027expertise and experience. We want to keep you in our district. And we've already had one excellent principal leave because the grass was a little greener. We don't want that to happen. So I'm more than happy to pay you just as much as we can. Ditto. and Mr. President, and with that comes responsibility and accountability. But on the table, we're not, the table's fixed as it is. I know it had ranges and all that. We're not doing a mass 22% increase on that. We are not. No, those are fixed. They stay where they're at. So they move along that continuum in those broadband ranges. And if we have to at a later date to reevaluate our competitiveness, we can go back to that. Absolutely. But we would make the entire thing shift versus we're not shifting

028it each year as we offer raises. And then if anybody promotes up and all that, we looked at within that spectrum. That's exactly right. Thank you. Any other comments? i move to approve the administrative contracts for 2026 2027 school year Second. Motion's been made by board member Gillespie, seconded by board member Quintero. All those in favor? Yes. Yes. Motion passes by all. Moving on to the discussion and possible action to approve the classified renewal list for 2026-2027 school year. Same with our certified and with admin. We are trying to guarantee that 2% raise across the board. I know it looks different on an hourly wage, but that is where we're at. And then again, you know if for some reason the state says hey, we've got all this surplus of money We know that our

029classified folks are some of the ones that that Require the most and so that would be the first place that we would look and they've definitely part of the team We can't We can't run this we cannot run the school district without any of those folks Totally true. Every one of you is vitally important, and we can't do what we do without you. So once again, if we had more, we'd love to give it to you, but we'll have to talk to the state about that. Mr. President, I move that we approve the classified renewal list for 2026-2027 school year. Motions have been made by Board Member Arradondo. I'll second it. Seconded by Vice President Heath. All those in favor? Yes. Yes. Motion passes by all. Moving on to discussion and possible action to approve

030the recommendations for employee benefits for the 2026-2027 school year presented by Jamie Schulenberg with Gallagher. Good evening, everyone. I'm not Jamie Schulenburg. I mean, I'm here in her absence. My name is John Hatz. I'm the Area Vice President with Gallagher. So I'm stepping in to deliver the renewal summary for you all. I know that you got the board packet. There's a lot of information in here. I'm going to stick to the summary and go through it. You know fairly quickly, but more than happy to address any questions that you may have I'll start with a couple of the things that are changing so on the medical renewal, which is the biggest ticket item you get your benefits through as bait which is administered through a maritime and They had an overall target increase for their

031entire pool of six percent with the ranges coming from 4% to 8%. So groups that were running a little heavier, they got a higher than target increase. And groups that were running a little better, they got it lower than target. Coolidge came in at 4%, so they got the lowest renewal that they were offering. And just to give you some anecdotal commentary on kind of the marketplace in general with health insurance, a low single digit. is uncommon in the environment where now we're seeing a lot of larger increases. So that is good news to be able to deliver a medical renewal at 4%. And with that, there's no changes to the benefits. So a lot of times renewal increases or come with changes in the level of benefits. There are no changes to the benefits

032at all. So again, another piece of good news when it comes to the medical plan. A slight increase on the dental plan that went up 3%. That's kind of in line with the dental trends. A couple of the coverages went out to RFP. One of those was basic life and voluntary life. The district went out to bid through a competitive marketing exercise. Got several companies to bid on your business. The selection was made to go with One America. No changes to the rates or the benefits for the basic. life there are some slight changes in the voluntary but there's also some savings on that as well and then another change is the flexible spending account again the district went out to a competitive bidding process through that they chose to partner through the as bait

033and with the guarantee and with a slight from what you were currently paying to partnering with the vendor that Asbate uses at a slight, very slight decrease. So all in all, very favorable renewal overall for your benefit package. Any questions? Mr. President, the cost that we as a district provide, that's based on our budget limitations and what we've done? That is correct, yes. I make a motion to... approve the recommendations for employee benefits for the 2026-2027 school year. Second. Motions have been made by Vice President Heath, seconded by Board Member Quintero. All those in favor? Yes. Yes. Motion passes by all. Thank you. Thank you. All right, moving on to other governing board and or superintendents report and update. Okay, so just a few things. I don't know if you have driven by Coolidge High

034School lately. The nice paint refresh. It looks so nice. Dan, they're just about done, aren't they? I'm talking about a big job, right? I mean, it just looks really nice and refreshed on that campus. The other thing, Fieldhouse, looks like the outside is kind of up and done. You can see that structure up there. And so now they're working on the inside. Certified contracts are due tomorrow. And so at that time we'll know as far as returning staff where we sit and how many teachers we need to go out and find. I hope it's not very many, which would be great. And so we look forward to that. We do have registration open for new and returning students open up online right now as we speak and people are getting on there and taking care

035of that. I thought maybe Mr. Gonzalez would talk about kind of our discussion about some changes we're going to be making at CAP for next year and really working to make that, oh, that was, oh, I did say next month, didn't I? You giving us a teaser? Never mind. Well, now we've got to hear it. I can't wait until next month. So let's just talk about it just a little bit. So because what we're trying to offer is some true flexibility and learning for students. Right. And for students that need a nontraditional path to get through high school. And so I'll let you explain because it's your update that you're I don't have any more post-its. You go ahead. All right. So one of the visions that I've always had kind of for an alternative

036program anytime somebody hears alternative program that's a negative connotation they think oh that's where the bad kids go or that's where you know whatever the situation is. But I always looked at it even when I was at Coolidge High School as an alternative to traditional education. So traditional education what we know what we grew up with and what's still very much in existence. What we want to offer at CAP now which. I believe can I share that we're looking at. Absolutely. We're actually looking at changing the name of CAP as well to kind of get rid of the alternative within the name. We've kind of put some some names in beta to see what they what they're like. I'm kind of favored to maybe like a Coolidge pathways or Coolidge innovative pathways or something to

037that effect. So what we're trying to do is create a pathway for for all students and meeting them where they're at. providing an ultimate flexible schedule for students. If a student needs to come all four days, we're open for that, absolutely. We are gonna be adding the third session, so that's an evening session, two nights a week. So if the students have a full-time job during the day, that's gonna be, we've talked about it before, being a very targeted audience there. Students that maybe they're a little bit older than the other students and don't wanna be on campus with 15, 16-year-olds. Okay that's great come in during this time. We have a lot of teacher available. You can continue to work there. The student needs just three days a week two days a week. We're

038trying to be fluid with the student and really being more open and accepting to providing the best experience for that one particular student. Now we're fortunate that we don't have the numbers of some of the other campuses where we can really tailor that to the specific student. The other thing that we've talked about increasing and offering some college level courses on our campus, utilizing the early college and first step, second step programs through CAC. They're available to our students. We might as well take advantage of it. Obviously they'll get high school credit for that as well. So, you know, my thought is, you know, with the an alternative setting, asking a student who doesn't do well in a traditional setting, sitting in a seat all day, maybe they don't need that, but they still want

039the education, they still want the available to them. So creating that experience for those students. And so ultimately there would be like a more traditional where they're there you know the four hours or five hours for the four days a week. There's a hybrid model where it has to be at least a 60 40 split. So they would come in three days a week and then we can do a complete distance learning model for students. Those kids that are on the distance learning model we can open it up to. a day of the week where if we have a number of hybrid students that maybe they can come in during the day and get additional help. Our counselor can then meet with them, work on college apps, working on their FAFSA, all of those things.

040And then having that evening session on top of it where we'll be available at least two nights a week for students that need that extra time. This is amazing. This is what I, we've always wanted. Number one. I've always been told I cannot stand the name alternative I was always told in the last 84 years that I've been on this board that we can never change that so no it's actually a very easy process and we don't have to change an entity number or anything we're just gonna change the name now Alyssa's not here but she did have a little bit of a heart attack because we have drilled into the brick with Coolidge alternative program over there so so we'll figure that part out, but we're gonna try to come up with some names

041and present those to you and let you kind of decide, you know, but we want it to be a true reflection of what that campus is. It is not Coolidge High School. It's not a big comprehensive traditional high school model. This is, and it doesn't mean that a student can't be successful there if they wanna go this route. It just facilitates a different style of learning for a student. This is awesome. It is. It really is. It's almost reminiscent of kind of something similar. We had all had an opportunity to participate in the co-op when we were in high school, but better. Yeah. This is, I'm just, I'm excited. That's right. You're one of those class of 98ers, aren't you? Yeah. A little bit. I don't even cringe when you say that. I don't know

042why. So how would the distance learning be different than the online? So it would look very similar to what we're doing right now with Coolidge Virtual Academy. So we will still have teachers available to them. We'll actually have a space for those teachers housed on the campus. So if they need to come in and meet with a student, if that student really needs, you know. help with somebody facing them or if they want to come in and do small group instruction. So it's available to the students if they can't come in at all. But again still having access to those classes because we're utilizing the same connects us program through Pearson. It's a smooth transition if we have to move students from model to model to model. When I say that because we're doing the

043three different style of models on our campus. So that's what creates that that fluid. you know moving students between whatever works for them. We you know we're I want to operate under the you know just if a student if it's something's not working for a student and they've tried it for a week they tried it for a month and it's just not working well let's find something different and being able having that ability to do that. So, and that's where, again, we're afforded that with what we have available to us where they're not locked in to the seat. They're not locked into a course for an entire semester. And that's what we've always wanted from day one is to meet them where they're at. 100%. Right now, I would say our target audience is any

044student that walked through the door. The other thing is that Coolidge Virtual Academy is not going away. We still want that online option for students because... currently CAP is an alternative school, right? And it falls under that alternative model. It can only go down to sixth grade. And so the virtual academy will allow us to go down a little bit further so that we can encompass fourth and fifth graders if necessary. And I would also- What I would offer all the options. I think this is exactly what we need to do. We're making it so it's extremely student-centered, what works best for them individually. I love it. And the other piece of this, as long as the student is in the state of Arizona, they could attend this model. And so really trying to boost

045up that enrollment from that perspective as well. I guess I'd add this. As you develop your models, make sure that you can sustain them within, you know, you may have one model that fits just one person, but another model that fits. 10 people just making sure that we can sustain what we've developed. Yeah, they'll, so I mean, obviously there'll be parameters to what we create. We don't want to individualize 200 different programs for 200 different students. So it would be, here's the parameters, kind of like a buffet. So here's what's available to you. Pizza's not on the menu, so you can't have pizza. So that's, we want to. Broaden it but not be a free-for-all where it creates chaos for our staff and creates chaos for the district. So That's that's kind of where we're

046at and I was actually going to share that with miss Hodges shared We we currently have two students who are working what we're calling statewide One student who's been with CBA since junior high recently moved to show low Had a conversation with the parents were able to get her tested with state testing before she left and if you want to continue with CVA You don't have to come back to graduation So and their parents were very appreciative of that and we're very thankful as they're walking us It's one less stress you have to worry about Yes. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. We've already started it with a few of the 19 that I mentioned earlier, bringing them back. That's where we're starting, and we're going to grow from there. That's all I have for you. Get the

047road running. Yeah, especially when we're not quite ready yet. I appreciate that. As far as bricks go, I don't know if Dan can turn a blind eye. There might be some laying around our backyard somewhere over here at the build house. No questions here, at least for me. I just wanted to. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Are we squared away for the junior high promotion and the high school graduations? Where are we at on those? We are, and those have been communicated to parents of our current promotees. I know that Dr. Dix has been working with a number of our eighth grade students on making sure that they are in a position to participate in promotion. and putting together some plans for each, individualized plans for each of them to ensure that they can

048do that. We'll have basically the same production for Coolidge High School graduation as we did last year. And so yeah, so we're working on getting all those kids, Michelle, right? Get them checked off? Yeah. And what day is the junior high? Promotion. So I should have had that up and... The 19th, right? Theirs is the Tuesday, the 19th of May. And then the 20th is CAP and CVA in the auditorium as well. And then high school is the 21st. Perfect, thank you. You haven't decided like is it afternoon, evening, high school? I believe we're gonna keep it the same as last year in the evening for parents. That seemed to work out best for everybody. Two sessions, Virginia High. Yeah, two sessions again, yes. Get a blimp and fly a banner from now until then.

049I know, right? The other piece is with CAP and CVA, depending on the number of graduates, we will be delivering tickets for this year for them. We had some. people that just kind of wandered in and so I want to make sure that it will have plenty of tickets so any the the students will have as many people as they want to come but but they will have to have a ticket to get in this may be the smoothest year well knock on wood somewhere let's hope so right yes somewhere yes anything else all right um are we at superintendent's report I just did Do you have anything else? I had a comment. Yes. So I was looking at the field trips and things that we're doing, we have going on, and I'm like, wow,

050really some exciting stuff going on. STEM in Flagstaff, that sounds like a fun one. I would like to go to that. The basketball in La Jolla, I just don't understand why they're only there two days. Who figured, somebody messed up there. The CTE in Tucson, that really looks like a fun one, and I may end up at one of those dinner. Good. Please do. That looks like a fun group. You talk to Nicole. She'll get you invited. And then Washington, D.C. Yeah. They're doing a lot of fun things over the summer. And there'll be more to come in May, right? So you'll see a whole onslaught of things in May. So we did... move forward with some hires as far as coaches were today. And you'll get those next month, but we'll be recommending a

051cheer coach hire and also a girls basketball coach hire at the next board meeting. And all the contracts that you'll distribute evenly. I was ready today. All right. I wonder, would you mind if I ask one more question for insurance people? I couldn't find it on my phone and now I've finally found it. But I just had a quick question about the marketing activity summary. What exactly was that? And we had a grade of B or, it was on page three, oh, I'm sorry. Look, now everybody's mad at me. I'm making the meeting so much longer. Nobody could ever be mad at you. I'm sorry. Couldn't find it. Oh, the second to last page on page 28, the marketing activity summary. Yeah, that's just a disclosure summary of any of the lines of coverage that

052you currently have, who the carrier is, you know, if they responded, and if they actually have a, like an AM best rating. So it's just a disclosure of all the information of anybody who participated in any of the RFPs. It gives you that kind of a detail. Okay. I had never seen that before. I was kind of confused. Thank you. Just more transparency. Thank you. Yep. Thank you. One other thing is next month. We'll be bringing some information. We've if you read the monthly reports Alyssa had in her report this month about looking to go out for another bond Our bonding capacity has increased significantly and so being able to Kind of keep that so that we can keep our facilities up and running and up to date and get some of the things that

053that are needed Around the district. So we'll talk about that next month And my understanding is it will not raise the tax rate. It will not raise the tax rate at all. No. Awesome. Mr. President, I move we adjourn. All right. Motions are made. Second. Second. All those in favor? Yes. Everyone have a good evening.
