Good afternoon everyone. Um we're going to go ahead and call this meeting to order. We do have a quorum board of directors. We have went to directors present director Gonzalez. He'll be running late. We call the order at director aridando can lead us in a pledge of allegiance. Yes, Mr. President, please join me in honoring our flag. Place your right hand over your heart. Ready? I pledge >> of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> That's a big fighter. >> Okay. Can we uh continue with the roll call? >> President Garcia >> present. Clerk Ardondo >> present. >> Trusty Akuna here. >> Trustee Kalmanis >> here. >> Trusty Gonzalez. >> Trusty Vargas >> here. >> Superintendent Dr.
Esparza >> present. >> Assistant Superintendent Dr. McWitz >> present. >> Assistant Superintendent Sakoro Sanchez. >> Present. >> Assistant Superintendent Julie Vigil. >> Present. >> Very good. Cor is established as I've said. Uh, next we have the approval of the agenda as submitted. Any comments, board members? Not. Can we get a motion to approve? >> I approve. >> So move. Motion by director Calamanes and seconded by Director Ardano. Right. Uh, can we get the roll call? >> President Tortez, >> yes. >> Vice President Garcia, >> I. >> Clerk Ardondo, >> I. >> Trusty Akuna. >> Trustee Kalmanis. >> I. Trusty Vargas. >> Yes. >> Very good. Motion carries. Um, next item on the agenda is 2.1 close session public comments. I have a few here and a more on the open. So on the close session
comments, um, let me see. We have I think it's Ray Audron. I'm sorry if it's Azoda. 5.1. >> That one's actually for open session. I don't know if you want to give me the time now. >> Oh, okay. So, we'll move that to open session. Thank you. All right. Appreciate. And then next is um also Yeah. Because you say public Carlos Aila. That's open session also or Carlos Aila. >> Okay. Good afternoon. Um uh I just want to apologize ahead of time. I'm kind of nervous. Not a very good public speaker, but um uh so I just seen that um you guys are going to be cutting staff. Um I think you guys should re-evaluate and find a better way. Um also C view is going to be losing the principal again. Uh I think
she was there for two years. Uh my daughter started kinder when she started and I was there when she was um introduced to the elementary school. It was said that she was here for the long run. Now I know she's getting promoted or she's moving up. Um congratulations to her. That's uh good for her. Um I just think uh you guys should reevaluate really who or what needs to be cut. I don't think staff needs to be cut. Um, last year the autumn festival at C View Elementary was full of teachers, full of staff. Uh, this year was pretty sad. There was hardly any staff there. Um, I think they're all volunteers. I think probably they didn't want to volunteer because of morale or whatever their reasons uh might have been. Uh, also it was
pushed I think uh two months or a month, you know, when it was supposed to be. Um, all of those little things affect the kids. Uh, I don't think you guys should keep affecting the kids. Also, if something's not working um in the board, I think you guys should figure out what isn't working and make it work. Uh, for example, if these lights go out and the electrician can't get the lights back on, um, let's find someone who can get the lights on, the plumber can't fix the toilet, let's find a plumber who can fix it, and so on and so forth. So, uh, thank you for your time. Very good. Thank you. Um, next we have Mary Marbel. Uh, 2.1. Um, I don't know if it says H. >> Good evening, board members and
superintendent. My name is Mariela Ernnandez and I'm going to read the following comment on behalf of CBTA. This is the third consecutive year this board has considered certificated layoffs. At some point, repeated reductions stop feeling temporary and start signaling instability. Stability matters. It matters to teachers deciding whether to build the career here. It matters to families whether to enroll or stay. And it matters to prospective educators we hope to recruit. We understand the financial realities in California. Funding follows enrollment. When enrollment declines, revenues decline. Those pressures are real. But it is also true that ongoing layoffs can unintentionally reinforce enrollment decline. When programs shrink, when turnover increases, and when morale dips, families notice, and when families perceive instability, they look somewhere else. That is why we respectfully ask this board to pair any staffing reductions
with a clear public enrollment estabilization strategy. What is the measurable plan to retain students who are transferring to neighboring districts? What is the timeline and how will progress be evaluated? If the community can see that reductions are part of a broader recovery strategy rather than an annual response, confidence improves. We also ask that alternatives to layoffs be fully explored and communicated transparently. Attrition management, incentives, temporary staffing adjustments, and targeted program investments that make our schools more competitive. Our educators are deeply committed to this community. They want this district to thrive, but commitment alone cannot offset uncertainty. Before approving another year layoffs, we urge the board to demonstrate how today's decision fit into a long-term stabilization plan because balancing a single year budget is important, but stabilizing the district future is essential. We stand ready to
collaborate on that work. Thank you. >> Thank you. Next I have um Billy Franco 2.1. Good evening, President Tortez, Dr. Esparza, and members of the board. My name is Billy Franco, and I'm speaking tonight as a classified employee directly impacted by the layoffs and bumping that took place on July 1st, 2025. This board and district leadership told our community that our state your stabilization plan would save money without affecting students. That statement was simply not true. Students were affected. Positions that directly support them were eliminated and when some were brought back, they returned with fewer hours and/or fewer staff. The result ended up being fewer people doing more work while students received less support. These decisions were made under the leadership of Dr. Francis Esparza and district management. The consequences have fallen squarely on classified
and certificated employees. The people who actually work directly with and support students every day. What makes this even harder to accept is that while classified and certificated staff are losing hours and or positions, the district continues adding more management roles. Positions that provide little to no direct support to students or the staff who serve them. Somehow there's always money for more administrators, but not enough to keep the people who actually keep our schools running. You often say that you care about your employees, but actions matter more than statements. Since Thanksgiving break, I have been homeless. I've been living in motel in my car and occasionally relying on friends for a temporary place to stay because your decisions forced me to choose between a 60% pay cut or losing my job entirely. If this district really
sac really really needs to sacrifice to recover, they need to start at the top with the leadership and management, not with the lowest paid paid employees struggling just to survive. Thank you. All right. Um All right. That's all that's all the close session public comments. Uh so next is 2.2 Two. Motion to enter close session. Uh motion by director Gonzalez. >> Second by director Ido. We roll call. >> Yes. >> Vice President Garcia. >> I. >> Clerk Ardondo. >> Hi. >> Trusty Akuna. >> Hi. >> Trustee Kimmanes. >> Yes. >> Trusty Gonzalez. Trusty Trusty Vargas. >> Yes. >> Okay. The motion carries. We'll go into close session. We'll be back at 5 4:45. All right. Very good. Welcome back. We're back into the um open session and we'll announce the action taken and close session.
>> There was no action taken during close session. There was a um an action to come back to open session. Was motioned by trustee Gonzalez, second by trustee Calamanis, and the motion was unanimous. Thank you, Mr. President. >> Very good. Uh next is public comments 4.1 uh board notification and request to address the board. I have several uh requests to address the board and I will separate the item as we go. So, first I would just call out Sergio Duran. Uh, subject layoffs. Um, I'm going to make it brief again. Another year we're losing more of our brothers and sisters, employees that have given everything they have to get the best outcome for our students. And yet they have no ability to make any of these decisions regarding our finances. You guys do. And they're
paying the price for you guys. And it's unfortunate that we go through this every single year. And then we're lucky we get four years and here we go again. But enough is enough. I'm going to say this. I'm I'm glad that finally our our executive board is is going to take a stance. And as as members, we're going to take a stance. Some of you are going up for reelection. Don't count on being here. We're going to vote you out. We're tired of this because you you got yourself a $2,000 raise. Good for you. Our members are getting walking papers. That's unfortunate. And every single time it's it's just pushed off like it's our fault. Well, not no more. You guys are going to get pay the price this time. You guys are going to
get you're not going to get elected and get this. Some of you are going to get recalled. I guarantee you're going to get recalled cuz enough is enough. We're tired. We're sick and tired of this. Watching people lose their livelihood. Watching people not know what they're going to do in an economy that nobody could afford anything. We didn't we didn't make this mess. you guys did. You guys make those decisions and we're not going to stand by here and just let you keep making them. The time has come where you guys are going to have to earn your pay and hopefully it's out the door. Thank you. >> Very good. Thank you. Um, next we have uh Favian Rosales 2.2. Thank you. >> Good evening board members. Uh Veronica is going to pass out a
couple um handouts on on the statement and also an attachment that I mentioned in in in what I'm going to talk about. But my name is Favian Rosales. >> Okay, sorry about that. My name is Fabian Rosales. Um, I work for the fiscal service department. I'm a fiscal services technician. I've worked at the at the school district for over 21 years. Um, I've started in grounds and I've been a custodian and for the last 16 years I've been in the fiscal services office. And the this is why I'm compelled to speak tonight regarding the reduction in force list and the elimination specifically of the fiscal services technician job. The issue with this layoff is it's not it's not because of lack of work. The work is there. And if you look at the attachment that
I that I handed out, uh it shows that there's five different classified employees that are currently processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Three of three of these are fiscal service technicians as is marked on the on the on the uh form. The other two are accounting assistant twos. Now, when you review the job descriptions, the distinction is really clear. The fiscal service technician classification was created specifically to process and generate accounts payable and accounts receivable and that is a core function of that position. The accounting assistant due description does not ask for them to do accounts payable and accounts receivable. Yet those duties are currently being performed by them in that classification. We are um being told that this position is being eliminated due to lack of funding, not lack of work. But if their
funds remain available to compensate employees performing accounts payable and accounts receivable work outside of their proper classification, then this becomes a matter of misallocation, not just simply a a budget reduction. Our union reps have asked HR on two at least two occasions to cease and desist with handing accounts payable and accounts receivable work to to this job duty and it hasn't been resolved as of yet. Eliminating the position specifically designed to perform this work while allowing the same work to continue under a different classification undermines the integrity of our job descriptions and the fairness owed to our classified employees. After 21 years of service from ground to custodial to fiscal services, I'm simply asking for consistency, fairness, and accountability. I respectfully urge the board to remove the fiscal service technician position from the riff list
to ensure that accounts payable and accounts receivable duties remain with the classification created to perform them because at the end of the day the decision isn't just about numbers on a spreadsheet. It's about whether we honor the integrity of our system and the people we have committed the careers to serving our district. I thank you very much for your time and consider consideration on this matter. >> Very good. Thank you. Next I have Lorraine Salis uh by district voting. Good afternoon everyone. I spoke about per district voting uh a couple years ago with a few board members. instead of the atlarge voting district that we that is being implemented in this district. I was told by one board member that uh going to per district voting would lose two members of the board or two
yeah two members um leaving that from seven board members to five. Well, I think it's time for a reduction in force at the board level as well. Can we get one board member to introduce a resolution to go to per district voting? The second largest school district in the nation has seven board members and the other districts in our area have five. It's time for the other side, you all, to feel the financial cuts uh that are happening. That's $2,000 per month. 2,000 $2,000 per per month uh times 12 months times 2 times the amount of health benefits that would equal a staff member who changes the lives for better for in for our students. So think about it. Very good. Thank you. Next I have Veronica Duesh 5.1. >> Good evening board members. Veronica
Dwayne, CSCA classified union leadership. Here we are again. Uh um you guys needing to vote on a resolution to cut positions. I want to make a quick clarification. Last board meeting that I was here, I talked about grounds and a skeleton crew. Well, let me correct myself. You were right. Currently, there are 10. One on the riff list makes what? Right. Nine. Taking one away. But guess what? Nobody up there or your leadership didn't take into account that one of those positions, right? We stay with nine. actually doesn't service any of this this area other than C view View and West Shores. So technically I kind of was right. Eight to service 23 sites in this district with one lead grounds. So that's my clarification to you. I was correct. It is still going to
be a skeleton crew. Okay. So you guys are going to do this. You heard all my brothers and sisters. You heard uh teachers also speaking on behalf of all of this. There's no way to get out of this obviously because here we are. But yet I have sites calling crying that they cannot do the work anymore because they are so understaffed. You guys got to understand the impact. Yes, we have a problem but the impact you are not feeling it. It is my people. We are feeling it. And you guys need to understand, do the math on your management. I'm sorry. I don't need two MTSS directors up in second in in um ED services. I do not need two accounting managers up in business. Come on. Look at the numbers, you guys. We I
have three people in the office staff right now to Canyon. Three. And guess how many students they serve? 940 plus students. Three. Does anybody understand the impact here? You probably do. But guess what you're going to say? There's nothing we can do about it because we got to get oursel out of this mess. But three people, you said you were not going to hurt the students. You are. I just had a fight at DM three on one and everybody's scrambling. You are hurting the students because there's not enough staff to support. Please look at the numbers before you vote and approve. Thank you. Huh? >> Um, Ray, I think it's Ray. I'm sorry. A Dan, I'm sorry. Good evening, board. Um, my name is Ryan Leua. I am vice president for CSA chapter 109 Coachella.
Um, you know, tonight you guys will be be making a decision that's going to have a ripple effect for probably the next couple years that will affect, you know, not only staff, teachers, but your students as many have mentioned here tonight. um in technology. There was a quick report done saying that we had a lot of technology and somehow that the numbers in response time kept going up as if we weren't able to address those. I was like, how is that possible with more people when right now we've been reduced and the response times are getting worse? We have data that contradicts that. So why the cut in technology doesn't make any sense. One of the guys that you're cutting is out there trying to stream the the soccer game right now. And yet we're
looking at the people who are innovating for us and we're going to chop them. It doesn't make any sense. You know, with the reduction in the monitors, I can understand that because there was a reduction in money. But here it just seemed like you guys asked Nostradamus and Chupacabra for advice on what to cut. It did. It just doesn't make any sense. So it's unfortunate they were here, but that with management they can't make a decision. I had a repair for $250 for a Dell machine at DM going back and forth, back and forth between administration from CTE and the site administration. Who's going to pay for it? What budget code? And that argument went all the way to the deadline. Meanwhile, the first time I tried to process that repair, no one gave me
an answer. So the teacher is looking at me like I'm not doing my job. But when it's management who has to pay for it, who has to figure out the funding to make it happen is not doing theirs. Meanwhile, when I'm doing an observation over there in C view, your director for nutrition tells me the buck stops at the door. I'm trying to point out stuff that we got going on over there. with sunlight coming through the doors in the kitchen. Critters can come through that door. The light outside that your kitchen manager has to open that door at 4 in the morning that I met that day. It was out. So, they're trying to enter the space in darkness, but the buck stops at the door. He doesn't have to process that, he says.
I said, "That's how you want to handle it." And he just looked at me with a blank stare. I don't see how that's right. But yet, we're cutting our people. It just doesn't make any sense. Guys, have a good evening. Thank you. Next, I have Loretta Perez, Oasis. So, I'm going to be reading um for uh parents of Oasis uh for some things. They have requested me to speak on their behalf. So, today the classroom chemical exposure and evacuation. Parents reported that students sent messages home stating that they were being evacuated from classrooms after experiencing burning sensation in their throats. There were also reports that some staff experienced chemical irritations and burns. Information gathered indicates serve pro crews conducted work the night before in the 200 building classrooms using a strong chemical. The rooms may
not have been properly aired out before students and staff had returned. Parents want to know what chemical was used. Why why was it used for those specific classrooms? Whether students or staff were exposed to anything harmful, what safety protocols were followed? Lack of of communication and accountability. Parents report that um that communication made by district leadership or to improve communication they and to restore campus liaison but those changes have not occurred. Families say they have not received a clear updates, transparency or follow-through. Reduce yard supervision. Parents report that several yard supervisors were re reassigned to other schools. As a result, they say there are a significant amount of fewer supervisors on campus, and some families believe this has been contributed to an increase in student fights and safety concerns. Limited follow-up on the Oasis issues.
Parents state the district leadership said they would address concerns specific for Oasis. However, families report that there only was two meetings were held and they have not seen any meaningful changes since. students restrooms accessibility during lunch. Parents report that students are sometimes told they can't use the restrooms in their own cafeteria because it creates additional work for staff. Students waiting to use the restroom. Some parents say students are asked to wait until everyone is seated before they're allowed to use the restroom which can create difficulties for younger students. Recess timings. Parents report that students may not be allowed to go to recess until every student in their grade level has finished eating. Water fountain concerns. Parents report that some water fountains don't even work. The water repeatedly tastes so disgusting. Fountains are located in areas
without shade, causing the water to be hot. The portable restrooms on the near the playground. Parents say that the restrooms concerns um concerns were raised. The solution provided was placing two portable restrooms near the playground. So parents are asking the district to address these concerns and provide clear communication about how issues will be resolved to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students. Thank you. Next I have Sonia Rodriguez. Oasis Sonia Rodriguez. Is she here? Sonia Rodriguez. After that, I have Irene Rodriguez. Good evening board members. We parents from Oasis were here a few months ago to be exact five five months. We asked for your support, for your presence and involvement at our school. You heard us and seemed shocked to hear our concerns. Everyone had shocked faces when we were reporting our
concerns. Dr. Esparsa, you met with us twice and assured us that things were going to change at Oasis School, that you were going to find us a principal who knows our community. Five months in and we are still waiting. Yes, we finally met the new principal this week. Tuesday or Wednesday she showed up. But the concern concerns are still the same. The girls restrooms are dirty. All of the restrooms. Some are dirty, some are locked. The boys having every all the students having to go to restroom to restroom figuring out which one's open. The girls do not have trash cans in the stalls to put in the products that they have that they need to put in. They don't have trash cans attached to the stalls. They have to carry their stuff out with them
as they're going to wash their hands. The custodians refuse to put trash cans because they don't want to touch the trash. The custodians don't want to clean the restrooms, especially the restrooms at the uh lunch area. They don't let them use that restroom. They have to wait and then until the whole class go is able to go out. They run. They rush to the restroom to find which one is not locked. It's it's the girls are being humiliated having to take the trash on their hand. It's un unacceptable. No one's doing anything. And yet you may say we didn't know but have you really looked into what was really happening at Oasis? You also told us that you would be bringing back the liaison and the librarians. We're also still waiting. The school year is
almost over. Nothing has been addressed today. As mentioned earlier, students and staff were exposed to chemicals and some develop uh reactions to their skin. Serpro was there doing a deep cleaning. Later, paramedics and firefighters showed up to the school. >> Okay. >> The school's not communicating with us. We had to show up to the school and ask what was happening. And even then, they were not letting us know what was happening. Exactly. They assured us that they're going to contact us, but we do not know when that will happen. Parents are not being informed, but your focus is to lay off uh lay off staff. There's there's hardly any staff at school. You are hurting our children. You are letting them down. What are you going to do? Are you really going to get involved
at our school? Are you really going to help us? Thank you. >> Very good. Thank you. Next I have uh Leticia Torres. >> Oh Torres and and Jose and Jose Torres together, right? So, good evening board. Dr. Esparza. I'm here to speak on the cleaning and the chemicals. I'm here to speak on the chem the cleaning and chemicals at Oasis Elementary School. On February 25th, Oasis staff requested a deep cleaning in the 200th building. The district responded by sending staff to clean that area. This happened on Saturday, February 28th. They cleaned rooftops and classrooms. They just uh they vacuumed and dusted. So maintenance staff additionally contracted Surf Pro to perform a deep cleaning from top to bottom. This was completed on March 4th, 2025. Uh it they worked all night. So uh it must have
been completed by 1:00 in the morning. this morning uh that we received a notification that there was still residue on the countertops and I had a strong smell. So, we asked the principal to relocate, not evacuate, relocate the staff and students to another to another uh classroom. We also uh requested them to open the doors and let it air out. I asked Surfpro and Supervisor Timothy Hernandez to show up and explain to staff what type of chemicals were used and uh to explain how that it was an actual safe chemical. Uh we didn't hear any concerns after that until around 2 p.m. Maintenance and operations was made aware of emergency services being dispatched to Oasis. Upon arrival at the site, emergency vehicles were on site. District staff was debriefed by both the local fire chief
and hazmat responses unit. Staff staff told that the rooms were cleared for occupancy. No hazards were found. Officials further went on to say the room smelled clean. The chemical used has been widely used across the district with no other issues reported. After cleaning this area was also cleaned away. response would be for clarification if that's what you're asking for. >> Well, that's what it is. Just some missing information. >> Okay. Go ahead. >> We do not know who who called. >> So, >> all right. What's that? >> Continue. You can continue. >> Is that it? I'm going to have uh Surf Pro speak on the chemicals used. >> Okay. So, the chemicals that we widely use is decon 30. >> Please hold. Please hold. >> So, >> he has a card. Start the clock again.
>> It's the same subject. Go ahead, Jose. >> Yes. >> Yeah. So, the the chemical that we widely use um districtwide, including in hospitals that we have contracts with, that kind of stuff is decon 30. It's widely used all over the place. You can look it up. Um we're So we went back and we did a rec cleaning with just water, that kind of stuff to to clear the residue. Um so, you know, we definitely don't want to disregard anybody's feelings or, you know, the the reaction that somebody may have, but this chemical is widely used and we use it, you know, in all in all schools that we work in, hospitals, health facilities, all that kind of stuff. So I would you know just just recommend that you know they look into to the
product that was used. This information was also given to the fire department and hazmat and all that stuff who looked at the MSDS sheets and all that stuff as well um to go ahead and verify the chemical that we were using and that it was safe. >> Very good. Thank you. Thank you. Next I have Enriki Vio Lopez. >> Good evening members of the board. My name is Enrique Yariel. I'm a proud parent of a ADHD high functioning autism daughter. Last year, um, we moved our daughter from a charter school into the school district, being promised by the district and its employees that with my daughter's condition, we would start her IEP and commence her um, journey through help helping her with her education and furthering it. Last year's budget cuts tremendously put a back
call to that. Now this year you guys are threatening to cut more. A few of you guys on the board know me and know who I am. And a few of you are going to know who I am. Now I don't get involved in public speaking. I don't speak against a lot against a lot of you because I do have a lot of respect for a lot of you. But I feel like the vision that you guys once taught me has been lost. And it's sad to the community because what we're built on is what we need. You guys are elected to represent us and our kids, not just yours. Our kids are important as well. And I just want clarification on this budget cut. You guys are threatening to cut $23 million in a
year. Why broke down the math? It's $116 per student a day. That's 20,000 per school year. Last year, the stat that's been thrown around is 500 students were lost in the school district. That amounts to around $11,000. I want a clarification as to why we are cutting almost double that amount. Doesn't make sense. The if you have to get out of the hole that you're already in, cut what's needed and move on. We shouldn't be having to we shouldn't having we shouldn't be having to suffer. I should have the peace of mind to send my daughter with the hope that she somehow with the help of the correct staff um is is guided and processed through going to regular population and I don't know call me a dreamer but maybe go to UCLA USC pepper
dying UC Santa Cruz My daughter deserves the same opportunity as everybody else. And I'll close with that. Oh, and one thing, just remember, November is right around the corner. Thank you. I have one more. Veronica Dues issues and at sites and low staff. >> Perfect example. Good evening. Perfect. The example Oasis School is exactly what I'm talking about. And thank you for whoever brought that up to tell us. Again, this is CSA classified union and I will be making sure that I send an email tonight on contracting out our work because that was custodial work. Again, if we do not have enough staff at a site, that is where the district should be looking at those ratios to support a site. Oasis went up went up in numbers. We only have two custodial staff there.
And I will say this as a chief union steward of this union. If they are not doing their job, then that's on administration. But for that company to go out there because somebody said we want a deep clean, that's what custodial work does, FYI. So, thank you whoever brought that report to us to let us know that a company literally did our staff job. Hence, the out of all of this, we're Losing staff and I have an outsourced company doing our work. Thank you for that. Cuz now I have it on a board um board meetings. Again, board members, this is exactly what I'm talking about. This is not one site to Canyon. I just told you. Look at the other middle schools. My people, my brothers and sisters are going home crying, going home
WITH HEADACHES, GOING home with stress. I already asked the district yesterday at the town hall, which I really enjoy. Thank you very much. Okay. But I asked, go look at the stress claims. And I'm going to tell THIS TO ALL MY BROTHERS and sisters out there. If you need to file a stress claim, do it. And that will show you guys what is really going on. We are no longer going to stay quiet. You already told us we're looking at budget cuts for the next three years. If we're looking at budget cuts for the next three years, let me ask a simple question. Then what the hell is the real number? What is the real number? Because last year it started at 60, then it went down, then it went to it was 42, started
at 42, went to 50, whatever have you. Yet we cut more than 200 people. Now this year it said 10, but it's not 10 because now it's at 20. three plans, 118, 115, and I don't even remember what the other plan was. So, what is the number here for the next 3 years? Because my god, then we're not going to have a district at this point because nobody's going to be here. Thank you. >> Very good. That was 4.1. Next is 4.2. We have one written request to address the board comments online and we'll distribute that to the board members. So next would be uh 5.1 uh approval of resolution 2026-28 regarding reduction or discontinuence of certain classified and classified management due to lack of funds. President Torsch's uh I motion as difficult as it
is uh understanding the responsibility that we have to our community and making sure that we stabilize the school district understanding that it's going to make uh very difficult especially at a very difficult time uh even more challenging for many families. Um, unfortunately we this is something that is required by the county, by the state. And with that, I'm going to motion to accept staff's recommendation as a solution uh for this school district going forward. >> Motion by Trusty Gonzalez. Do we have a second? Put out second.
