The mission of region 15, a collaborative community committed to excellence, is to educate every student to be productive, ethical, and engaged in a global society with proven and innovative learning experiences supported by its strong community whose decision- making is based in the best interest of all students. We'll start with our student representatives, um, Miss Victorialo and Miss Liza Murkin. Starting with Memorial Middle School, um the student council hosted a sixth grade winter glow social and a seventh and eighth grade dance. And for academic progress, students are currently focused on the Edinburgh EA testing for reading and math. And the eighth graders um are excited to go on the DC trip um later this month. And for RMS, um Mr. Bernardi has begun visiting fifth graders at PES and GES to welcome them and prepare our
families for their movement to middle school. >> At um Mberry Elementary School, they just had their spring concerts um that went very successfully. Um the Middleberry mentors made over 150 peanut butter sandwiches for the Saint Vincent Apollo shelter and also the Ghost Readers will be attending the region 15 Super Bowl uh representing MEES. And at PES, they also had their spring concerts and the students did great and they are looking forward to the upcoming art show displaying what they've been working on the past few months. >> Thank you very much. Any questions on this report? >> Thank you. >> Um, next we have student recognition of Superintendent Smith. >> So, I'd like to invite Dr. Gomes and Molly to the podium. >> So, thank you all. Uh tonight we're going to recognize our winter sports
all state and state champions. Um so just want to point out they also have their own banquetss that they go to and the district um does support our state champions uh with gear as well to celebrate that. So we appreciate uh the the district and supporting our student athletes with that. And with that I'm going to call up our acting athletic director Daniel McCauley. >> Thank you. So, we have a lot of student athletes that we're going to recognize tonight. And the first one being our wrestling doublel state champion, Daniel Kandulo. >> Congratulations. Congratulations. Great. Then we have a hearty number of um boys swimming team members who received first team all state recognition and we're going to call them all up together. So, first up is Tyler Silva. >> Oh, he's not here. Okay.
Martin, >> Logan, Merritt, >> Hunter, David White, Congratulations. And we have one last fantastic recognition to acknowledge here and that is our boys swimming and diving team collectively who received a class M state championship recognition this year. And of note, it's their 22nd all class state championship overall in their sixth straight. Great. High five. Thank you. Great job. specific to the next So, thank you all again. Coach Patino is actually so thank you Mr. McColl for pitching. Coach Patino normally does this. He is actually at CIC um working on some swim regulations uh right now. Um but he obviously sends regards and thanks everyone. So thank you all again. >> Thank you. I don't want to lose sight of the fact that that Mr. the only sort of folks in the state that have seen
that so our team is really well coached team. They work really hard but >> Oh keep his name up. We will keep his name on the congratul a very welldeserved honor for coach of the year. Thank you. Um next may I have motion for approval of the minutes for March 18th budget workshop. So thank you Heather. Do you have a second? >> Second. >> Thank you Steve. Any questions or comments? All those in favor. >> Any nays? >> Any obst? Okay. So John and Sharon are abstaining. Oh. Oh. And Shannon, where are you? >> Shannon. I >> can you hear me? >> Yes, I can hear you. >> Okay. I'm an I. >> You're an I. You're an I. Okay. Thank you. >> We'll do a little call for the rest of I apologize. >>
So, may I have a motion for approval March 23rd public hearing minutes? So, move. Thank you, Heather. >> Second by Steve. Any questions or comments? I just had a comment about the voting chart which I found helpful but I was sad it wasn't on any my resolutions. So I was just wondering is there a is there a rule is there was >> I could tell you for the bond um application we have to submit the minutes and it wants to show like I just submitted it that way. >> I kind of like it. It's pretty handy. Yeah. Um >> the state the state wants it for the state grants to say >> okay thank you >> any other comments. >> All right those sorry we'll go roll call Shannon >> I Shannon Gavalo I >>
Sharon I Heather Dwire I >> Tom Marks I >> Mary Manzo I Heather Rogers I >> Steve Serani I >> Jeff Olson I >> All right it carries. May I have a motion for approval of the minutes of March 23rd, the regular meeting minutes? So moved. >> Second. >> Any questions or comments? >> All right, we'll do the roll call vote. Shannon, >> Shannon Kavalo, I >> J. >> Sharon, I saw I >> Heather Dwer, I Marks, >> I Rogers, I >> Steve Serani, I >> thank you. Carries. Um, next, may I have a motion for approval of the March 25th budget workshop minutes? >> So, moved. >> Thank you, Heather. >> Second by Steve. Any questions or comments? >> All right. Shannon. >> Shannon Kavalo. I >> Sharon addict. I >> want to Heather
Dwire. I >> Marks. I >> Mary Manzo. I Heather Rogers. I >> Steve. >> Jeff. N. >> Great. Great. It carries. Thank you. Um, next item on the agenda is a uh budget discussion. Um, you will notice on the agenda that um later on we're going to have a motion to approve the budget. Um, so we will be having or there is an opportunity for discussion during that motion. Um, but there is an opportunity here for discussion as well. Um, wanted to open that up to the board. um if you had any discussion points you wanted to make or we could al also hold the discussion during the motion itself. >> So >> uh we couldn't start the motion unless we had numbers with flags. >> Yes, that will be forthcoming. Right before we do
that motion, I have um has prepared two different numbers at my request that I will be presenting to the board. We're going to be doing obviously there's the budget number for the proposed budget which is a 5.48% increase. And then um Josh does have numbers prepared. I asked him um based on our last meeting and the consensus I kind of thought there was um to do a budget number that does not include the extra social worker position and also returns the gate fees as revenue. So that that number will be proposed given to the board at the time of the motion. Yeah. >> The return. So so wouldn't take the 50,000. >> Correct. Right. So like restoring the 50,000 to be determined at a future >> award. >> Correct. >> Anyone else? >> Just one
question. I apologize. I was in here. the um turf field that that issue at this point >> there there is nothing um before the board about a second turf field. It is not on the referendum. I appreciate you asking that question because there's been some confusion in the local papers. Um there's no referendum question on the second turf field. Um as of right now, as I understand, finance is going to be looking at a possible estimate and a scope. But I also um have had conversations with the first selectman from Mbury about that. Um and I did email the first selection from Southbury because this is uh it's it's uh we've gotten a lot of emails about it. Um primarily from feeder programs to the high school which are very important. Um but I would
like to know if there's any like the towns can like or if they have plans for turf fields that might take the pressure off of us. Um, so that's a conversation to be determined. We are not voting on a second tur field and it is not on the referendum. So, thank you for clarifying that. Any other discussion points which we can just do later? I got do it again. >> Okay. All right. >> All right. Next, we have information and proposals policy and curriculum committee. Miss Heather Dwire. >> The policy and curriculum committee met this evening starting at 5:30. I would love to just thank all the members of policy and curriculum for their stamina as we go into this meeting. Um but it was a very good meeting. We we finished up um a
conversation um about the structure of policy and curriculum going forward. Um and we invited several guests um to speak to us about uh ELA programming in grades K through 12. Um so there's a wide ranging discussion but very informative about uh practices and programs um you know in use in region 15. Um and we're very much looking forward to to building on that um in future curriculum meetings. Uh we will meet again. Sorry. I think it's on May. It's not right. Goodness sake. My apologies. I am I apologize. We are going to be meeting again >> May 11th. May the 11th. Yeah. >> Thank you. Any questions for Heather. Okay. Next we have PTO advisory. Miss Sharon add it. >> PTO advisory met on the 2nd of April. Um I think it was a great
discussion. Um we had some special guests. Um but the conversation really focused a lot about getting out um word about the vote for the budget referendum. Um and there was also a brainstorming um ideiation session uh inclusive of a PE teacher who is planning an adaptive PE field trip which is being targeted for May 15th. Um the next meeting is scheduled at central office May 7th. >> Great. Any questions? Who were the special guests? I do not want to misquote their name so I do not want them in my notes. Was there theme or something? >> One was uh Mr. Andrews who tags up the alliance the pack alliance um supporting the referendum and I'm gonna use his nickname Mr. Shu the PE teacher. I don't know history shoe marker. Thank you. So I do
there you go. >> Good memory question. I'm sorry if we don't stop, but that's okay. >> All right. Next, we have the GES PES building project. Superintendent Smith. >> So, attached to your packet tonight is uh based information that I had sent to you over the weekend where we've started to mock up uh kind of forward. Uh if we are going to uh pursue state reimbursement, that application needs to be the state by June 30th. regardless of what happens um on the May 6th referendum, our plan is to be prepared to submit that application uh so that we uh have a marker in place and any new legislation that goes into effect our application is for that. In order to do that, we've outlined some of the questions around authentication specs are, what the role
of board is, what our process is internally, and then a timeline that marches you from tonight right through to till uh the June 8th meeting where we will anticipate uh we'll we have to approve the minutes of the meeting. So the uh we actually are planning the May 26 board event meeting is where we would adopt the education specs that be part of our grant application definition and scope for the expects are in here. Uh and then on the June 6th we'll include the minutes from the May 26th meeting which is what we need to make the application. Um, and then we'll finish all the detail work between the 6th and somewhere around the 20 early 20s of June and get it in as June 30 deadline. >> So, we'll have that more to come
and we'll explain each step process. >> Any any questions for authorization for the building? Is that an organization or are we are we defining who the building >> in the application process? You have to attest to the fact that we will have a building committee. We do not need the name building committee for the June 30th application. >> Thank you. Or the spots like we don't have to know the spots. >> Correct. We don't have to say like the only spot that I think we have to uh commit to is that one person on the committee will have structured industry experience and that the board chair or designate will be a member of outside of that we have flexibility and some time yes I had the same question so that's why I answer yes >>
let's see >> if um the referendum question is not passed does this still go forward in the anticip ipation that we would maybe try again >> or it does not pass. Is this just nothing to worry about? >> So, we'll have some options should should we're going to plan for or hope for the best and plan for the worst. So, our uh we'll have some options if it were to fail. Uh but having the application in by June 30th preserves all of our options. Doesn't mean we have to do anything, but it means we still can. >> Can always be like never mind. >> Yep. we're going to do a lot of work. So, I hope that's not a choice. But, but yes, technically, but if we did put the application in and decided to
move forward, um any new legislative changes would not apply. You know, we'd have to apply with the new change, not the current. >> Thanks. >> Any other questions? >> Okay. Uh next we have board member comments. Go ahead, Sharon. Hi, I missed the opportunity to speak up when the minutes were being passed for Wednesday, March 25th. I am not changing my vote. I know it's already on the record. Um, but just formally for the comments. It says I was absent on the front page, but that I voted and I was here. So, um, if we could just formally ensure that it's noted that I was present, that would be great. Thank you. >> No, that's okay. >> Any other board member comments? Um, I I um I was invited to um attend a book fair
at Gainfield this coming Thursday. Um I had gone when I substituted for Sharon Addict at the last previous uh PTO advisory meeting. I was kind of talking with the PTO uh presidents and they said, you know, would you ever be willing to come by? And I'm like, yeah, sure. Um and so I did get a formal invite. Um I think it's uh 6:00 to 8 on Thursday. I'm going with the flyer and a dream. Um so just wanted to let everyone know. Um if you're interested in coming along, let me know. I'm not necessary, but um you know, always happy to have company. >> Good. Sorry, I was actually at the um PHS auditorium for the PS concert, which was excellent. So, thank you to the fourth and fifth graders and everyone that put on
a wonderful um show. I did have a question though because um I was curious when are auditorium seating going to be complete because there was a whole section quadrant that was kind of blocked off and I was just curious um I don't I feel like we haven't given the auditorium seats uh their due like spotlight. >> They pulled 150 seats out was the last oh it's going to heat up faster. That's why they took a much larger number. They were 50 to 60 at a time. >> So, when will that all be complete? >> We hope by I I hope it's this summer. >> Okay. So, not prior to graduation. >> No. And I want to be careful. I want the very front row. The bottom bottom seats. I want to take those out like
in that June to like, you know, let's say early August time frame. So, those are out of the way back start. Will it affect the number of tickets for graduation? >> No, we haven't filled space. Yeah, >> I know. I've checked with Mr. Nelson. We I was mindful before we pulled 150 that we we didn't need the 150. I didn't want to take more effort. >> No, no seats. >> Awesome. >> Thank you. >> Any other comments? I guess just have one about uh building off of the u spring concert sort of season that we're in, which is just that I've had the chance to be at a couple of the long meadow concerts. So, this was the first uh fourth with the 105 fourth graders. I got them all up there and singing in
the first concert and I just wanted to um give a shout out to the uh the music teachers that were affiliated with that and um and uh concert went really well and we filled every single seat in that auditorium. noticed the ones that weren't there, but it was it was really well done. Just shout out to the the staff that made that happen. Any other comments? Okay, next we have comments from citizens. Uh the board of education will recognize citizens citizens from Middlebury and South Berry and citizens are asked to state their name, their town of residence, and to limit their comments to three minutes. Any comments? No. I was going to set my timer. No. All right. There being no comments, we'll move on um to regular business requiring action. Um so I I
had asked Josh um to um give me the budget increase number and the percentage increase. um based on our prior meeting where I felt that there was some kind of consensus to possibly not add the additional social worker for now and um maintaining the gate fees status quo in other words like returning it to revenue. Um so I think Josh is going to >> present something to the board. When originally the social workers proposed they were reducing half a math feature or something you still have math feature. >> Yes. So fundamentally this is what it would look like. So here's where we are right now. Uh again a little bit of a weird piece is that we're looking at the net budget. The revenue piece is where you get that 5.84. This doesn't impact revenue
fees because while we are returning the gate fees, they weren't in revenue. They were in purchase service. Uh 5.4. So >> yes, >> I just look at that. Um, so what you what we are technically doing is in the certified salary account there's a 1.0, but we weren't adding the social worker. We were reallocating. So what we're if we move forward with this, we're fundamentally reducing the certified salary line by 1.0 FTE that's budgeted at 65,000. By removing the gate fees or by moving the money you put in to offset what would have been revenue, it's 50,000. So reducing the budget by 115,000 that will ensure 5.3% but then we gave the town burden to one 5.18%. Okay. So do we need to so following the verbiage that's on the agenda where it points out
to a budget increase of a certain dollar amount which represents percentage increase. So do we have that number? Oh yeah. >> Okay. So, I'm sorry. >> Keep this number minus. >> We'll set the increase. Yeah. >> Always doing that question. Uh I should know this. So the referendum amount regardless of whether it's your original budget or not would have been the original would have been the 5.30 30 and that dollar amounts >> this is this is the dollar amount that goes to referendum 985025 >> if you were to move forward deduction of 115,000 this is the number that >> okay >> yes can you help me if I'm missing something because we were at 5.48 48 you're showing 5.3. Can you speak to that difference? >> So the difference is the net gross budget. >>
Ah okay. Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. So this is the number that goes to the towns and their obligation of the budget. Our total school budget includes the revenue which is the 5.48. >> Okay. Thank you. >> That's very understandable. Yes. >> Okay. So can we just scroll down just a little bit so I can see that increased number. So that so that modified budget 2026 to 2027 that's the number with the proposed reduction of the $115,000. >> Yes. >> So the 4.8 million is the dollar amount increase and that represents a 5.18% increase. Am I reading that correctly? Okay. So to start the discussion, may I have a motion for approval of the 2026 school budget? >> Oh, >> did I? >> Hold on a second. I'm asking for a motion and then we can
have a discussion. And >> so do I have a motion? >> I will make a motion. >> Thank you. Move that the board of education approve the 2026 to 2027 budget increase of u 4,861,696 which represents a 5.18% increase. >> Thank you Tom. Do I have a second? >> Second. Second by Heather Rogers. Okay. So now let's go to discussion. Yep. And Shannon has a question. So, we'll let Shannon go first and then Sharon. >> Well, my question was just going to be around which one were we doing and the optics of this, right? Because I'm still kind of sitting in the 5.3% camp. So, the way that we did that, we're going to discuss a 5.18 and then vote on that and then go back to the other one. Like that's what I was
just trying to sort out. >> Right. So the the motion that's been made is for the proposed budget >> that is decreased from the superintendent's proposed budget by $115,000 which is the um sorry the >> it's distracting. Um which does not include the social worker addition or the gate fees. um it it puts off the gate fee discussion. So Tom made a motion for a modified budget with that lower increase. If board members don't want that, I mean then we have a discussion and we we could put that to vote. There could be a motion to amend that to for a different number. Um so that this is like the back and forth that we're going to engage in now. any questions in clarifying comments or anything? Okay. So, Sharon, I I think because even
when Tom was reading it off, I was like, which line are is he reading off of three or nine? So, I or 10. So, I recognize he read off 10. And I thought we were talking about line three. So, we're talking about line 10, the 4.861. Superintendent Smith spoke about the net versus gross on the 5.3. So, what would that percentage be on the 5.18? Because up to this point, we've been talking about the 5.48 and now we're seeing 5.3. So, I get the net versus gross, but what would that look like on what what's being proposed on the modified budget for line nine? I just want to make sure in my mind I'm comparing apples to apples. >> So, the the 5.48 48 would go down to you have that number 5 >> 5.36
>> and so right this is the first time that we had I'm sorry the first time since we've started doing net gross budgeting that you've had that kind of complicated reversal Yeah, we had a flat revenue just on the really nice >> the important number for the referendum is the bottom line budget increase number the 98,735,254 that that's the number that goes >> on the referendum >> and like I said if the town bill rate is based on this >> and the town percentage is even more a whole different set of percentage south 734 middlebury is at a 1.57 seven. So there's a lot of different percentage increases depending on where you sit >> as well. >> Okay. >> So go ahead, John. >> Shouldn't it be reduced by another 30,000 or so for the
benefits for that position? >> So I it can we don't we don't c we don't capture benefits because we just we're pay claims. So >> I know that. But still you got an ad fee of like $2,000 per person. Yeah. >> So, >> no with claims too would end up being about 30,000. >> Yeah. But >> only if they make So only if they don't what they generate. >> So when we do if we were to do like 10 or 12 positions one or the other, we would factor in some movement for benefits. But with one position, we don't know if that person even you hit their deductible. We don't know if the person uh had a family plan, a single, a single plus one. Right? So, you know, we have seven or eight retirements.
Are they going off with the >> You still have the cost of the job. Yeah. Social Security cost. So, there's still benefit costs that it's going to be reduced. >> Yeah. So, that 65 is based on an average cost of what would cost to hire an employee. So, we factor in some of those pieces that 65. >> You also have no social care where teacher >> that's not teacher. >> Yes. It's certified position. So, they don't pay social security. >> All right. uh or that teaching was the social work. >> Both both are certified position. >> Social work is a teacher. >> Yep. Teaching position. >> So again, if we were to do five or six positions, we put in some factor, but with one, it doesn't really change the health insurance. >> okay, go
ahead, Shannon. Thank you. So I just wanted some clarity on the social worker because right now I remember Dr. Jones and I just want to make sure that I clarify and capture this correctly that this is currently being filled by temps or consultants who are retired teachers coming in and helping. So the fact that we're then saying we're removing this, would that because obviously there's a need if you guys are already hiring in in this temp position kind of backfilling having people help out like would that still be with us removing this instead of having continuity year-over-year? Are we still going to go that temp route? >> So this position is a 0.4 uh of what you're talking about. So it was a 1.0 0 math position at one point that position went from a
point4 to or from a 1.0 to a point 6. We were reallocating a fraction of that salary to two retired teachers to do some of that work. This reduction will uh require us to reallocate some of that work to other staff in the district. >> Okay. But we're still going to be right like so I guess I just want clarity on the fact that it's not like that this isn't a needed position right that this was identified this was something need we're filling the gap now right whether it was point46 but we're still going to have a point4 or some type of consultant position to meet the needs of our students >> I don't know that it'll be a point4 consultant position and it won't fall under the the FTE salary piece whether we reallocate
Um and how we break those uh services that are being delivered up is something that we have to work through. We're not going to stop providing some of those shift. >> Just one follow question to that Josh. Right. So >> if we're outsourcing it or doing other stuff like is it like are we going to be in a space where we're spending more than 65? Like I just want us to really think this through. Um, right on this certified social worker component because like if we're saying, "Okay, we're it's a need. We have to handle it." Kind of this is the same thing as the the PAR educators. We're going to move stuff around. We're going to shift it. We're going to fill it because we still need to meet our students. I'm just trying
to wrap my head around our thought process collectively as a board of us saying, "Yeah, no, let's remove that." So currently the the kind of shift here is that when you had that 1.0 position, we had salary in the certified salary account that was unused. That's what we use to bring in some additional supports. uh we will have to reallocate those uh supports most likely to our mental health staff at the high school and not use because we're cutting dollars from the certified salary. >> That makes sense. >> That does. Thank you. >> Comments or discussion? My I just want to my feeling on the social is not that um it's not a needed set. I didn't feel like I I when we added coaches there was a presentation about staff that they you know
added a team at at that was a large thing. There was a there was a very clear sort of delineation and I feel like and my role is sort of like understanding like how we're deploying people what we're doing and how how we're using dollars um and and positions and providing the supports we need to. I just don't feel like I understand how that happens. And and I what I would like to do would be I I'd like to have my mental health um focused um meeting that I asked for a couple years back maybe finally happen next year and understand that system and how we're how we would be using some resource like that next year going forward looking at next year's budget. I'm absolutely not against social workers. I'm just against adding something
that I feel like I don't fully um understand exactly how it works in our system and and and is it the best use of um of our dollars in terms of like it making sense in in the system we have now. >> Great. Thanks to you. I would I would agree like I think also another question might be like because you know some districts have you know eight of I was a psychologist to this district of this six of that so as part of that presentation I think it'd be good to hear yeah how that's all broken out >> I just think it's a bigger question that actually merits our attention and I wouldn't want to get vision into one thing by adding this without actually having thought about the bigger picture not to make
it more complicated but it but I think it is I think that is something that's facing our students and our schools um in a really good way. >> Thank you. Comments. I know we've had a lot of discussions um particularly at our last budget workshop afterwards. Um we talked about this is where we kind of had a lot of people um you know going around this uh lower a modified budget as that's presented in line number 10 over there. Um, so I know you guys are quiet. Um, but are you ready to vote or you want to say anything more or just ask one more question then? Does the $50,000 not including gate fees? Does that still allow for some kind of redistribution or change of gate gate fees based on like uh pay to
play and all that other stuff we were talking about? So we're not necessarily closing that door. saying we want to we don't want we don't want to >> discount that. >> We're not adding any money to the budget to offset that. >> As long as like you can shift fees within the current structure that we have in any way, shape or form. >> The gate fees are somewhat different because they pay officials for those games. So if uh but I guess the short answer is yes. There's a difference though in kind of the chip of the panic middle high school and what they go to versus the gate. But I do think that the finance committee can work through as long as there's no increase to the school budget and you do it revenue neutral
>> and finance is going to be tackling that in a bigger picture way in in addition to the music the middle school music like looking at that bigger picture as well. What we just wanted to be conscious of was any type of perceived bait switch for a family that there was similar to what we did with parking or that we did with school lunch fees. Any shift families is incremental and done with time as opposed to big shift once. Oh, go ahead, John. >> Um, I think it's too high, but I defer since I wasn't here for the budget discussion and I just said it's fine. >> Anyone else? Um I I think that this budget number is um like I said before just going to reiterate in case the someone's paying attention are watching
and not understanding um where I'm coming from at least that I think that um I appreciate the administration has done um an unusual move for themselves where they um took the you know 10 open pair of positions and just did in budget before. Um we haven't done that before and I appreciate that. I think that you've heard um board members who have been talking about that. Um I'm a little nervous about doing that. Um but I I do appreciate that you guys are responding to um comments that we've made um at budget meetings. So I appreciate that. Um I think again for me I think our reserve accounts are too um anemic compared to other regional districts and that troubles me. Um just uh this last week we had um some kind of a mainbearing
failure in some PHS unit that at the costs of $500,000 unexpected. That happens too often in terms in terms of like you can't budget that. Um and that's but we have large buildings in our district. Um, and that kind of stuff happens. Um, and you know, that's why we need reserves. So, I appreciate what's in this budget. Um, I support it. Um, you know, as, uh, you know, Tom made the motion. Um, I look forward to a continued discussion about the gate fees and the social worker perhaps for next year. Um and also for me I was very cognizant that we are asking the community to um help us build two new schools and that definitely plays a part in my thought process as well. Anyone else? >> We're board. >> All right. >> I
I agree with you. Absolutely. I do think the superintendent and finance director and everyone else who worked on this budget made concessions that probably left them feeling a little bit uncomfortable. I think a little bit uncomfortable is just going to be the vibe here for the next couple years. We have some uncomfortable realities to face. I also want to acknowledge this board. Um this is my sixth budget cycle. To my recollection, correct me if I'm wrong, the first time this board has voted to remove something from the budget. We had a reduction last year, but those that was moving dollars, pots of money around. This is the first time I can remember the board actually taking something out of the budget and I know how hard that is for some of the folks at this
table and I know that makes some of us a little uncomfortable. Um, so I appreciate everyone, you know, starting to stare down the realities that are facing us, forcing themselves out of that comfort zone. I agree with everything else you said there. Thank you. >> Great. Any other comments? Just a procedural comment really. Um, having been on the board now for some time, I when I reflect back on this year and years past, I feel that we spend a lot of time having the same conversation at exhaustive notes. And I'd really like us as a board to evaluate how we consider doing the budget presentation and having different conversations and meetings in 20 26 26. >> Um, I think that there's a much more efficient way for us to get where we need to be
quicker. Um, and I would just like us to really evaluate that process. Um, this is just, you know, me saying this. I'm not sure how others feel. Um, but I feel that we spend a lot of time and I'm not really sure um the impact that that has relative to where we need to be when we finally bring it to a vote. So, thank you. >> Any other comments or questions? >> All right. So, we'll do a roll call vote. Um, John, >> I shared eye. Heather, I >> works. Hi >> Mariano. I Heather Rogers. Next, may I have a motion for approval of the final education specifications for solar installation at the Long Meadow Elementary

Resolve that the Prague Regional School District number 15 Board of Education to approve the final education specifications for the solar installation at the Long Meadow Elementary School. >> Thank you. Do I have a second? Second by Sally Romano. Joe, can you >> education specs for the solar installation of Long Meadow and basically says we're be installing solar panels on Los Angeles. >> I just have one question. I read it the way that it was written, but I don't know if it makes a difference. Should we not have added the word to? >> Should it have just said resolve that the Compard Regional School District number 15 Board of Education approve the final education specifications? Does it matter? >> No, it should. >> Yeah. All I care about is the region solar install. >> They're
very boiler plate. >> The black face. Okay. >> All right. Any other comments or questions? All right, we'll do a roll call. Go ahead. Sean, >> shar. Heather Dwire.
