Just so everyone knows, I can't get my camera working, but my voice is working. So, apologize. >> Yay. >> Uh, Mr. Fen, we are live. You can begin the meeting anytime. >> All right. Good evening, everybody. Again, I apologize. Uh, you can't see me, but I don't think anybody wants to anyway. So, let's call to order. Uh, Kayleie, will you run roll call, please? >> Lorraine Rosner >> here. >> Joey Palagi >> here. >> Patricia Munan >> here. >> Kate Coutach >> here. >> Rich O' Conor >> here. >> Jason Nevs >> here. >> Anthony Smearagino >> here. >> Jim Fen >> here. >> Carol Ponazo >> here. >> Also in attendance, Dr. Ken Sarinich and Jackie Tulings. Everyone, if you wouldn't mind, please rise for the pledge. >> Ready? I pledge allegiance to the

flag of the United States of America >> and to the republic for it stands, >> one nation, one nation under God, indivisible, >> indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Thank you everyone. That is probably one of the weirdest things we do, huh? I love the pledge, but it's just kind of strange on Zoom. >> Yes. >> All right. I'm scrolling between two screens, so you'll see me stutter everybody a little bit here and there. Um I might even have to put on my glasses. Give me a second. There we go. Uh I'll entertain a motion to approve the uh consent agenda. >> I make that motion >> to appro Whoops. Go ahead. I make the motion to approve the consent agenda. >> I'll second. >> Motion made by Mr. U as well as

second by Mr. Rosner. Any discussion? All those in favor state by saying I. >> I. >> Any being opposed? Motion carries unanimously. Uh let's see. We're going down to number three, right? Discussion for possible action. I am correct here. >> Yes. Um, >> Mr. Chair, if you would like me to discuss or introduce this topic, I would ahead, sir. >> So, to stay in compliance with our fundraising policy, I wanted to be transparent with the board and have the board formally vote um or take action in regarding what I'm proposing. As you know, I've brought up to the board, we are going to do a one book, one community that we're really excited to start for next month. We are getting some um financial help in making this possible through the library board uh made

a substantial contribution as well as PTO's are helping purchase books for their local schools. Um but to help this make this happen, I did speak to um Bill Pcell in the Chamber uh of commerce and he said that he would hap happily publicize um sponsorship and what we're looking at is if businesses would like to donate $100 to go towards books um that would in essence sponsor a class to get a book supply for this uh endeavor. So with that said, I'm just looking for board approval. So we would be in compliance with our fundraising policy and then I would be moving forward in contacting Bill Purcell and sending a communication to the business council for sponsorship for our one book one community. >> Any questions on that matter? >> Seeing none I'll entertain a

motion for approval to give the superintendent as requested. >> Some moved second. Moved by Coutach, second by was that Miss Rosner? >> Yes. >> Thank you. I only see four of you in the space. >> Yeah. >> Any discussion on the matter? Fair state by saying I >> I being opposed. Motion carries unanimously. All right. Uh that will take us down to no presentations or recognitions. Uh our student representatives, are they here? >> Uh they are not because school is not in session today. We excuse them from tonight's board meeting. >> I'm going to very good. Uh the executive session. Oh, my internet is unstable. I'm going to move this item to the end uh of the uh we're going to bypass it for now. We're going to go to the end and then we're

going to go into a separate Zoom because it is an executive session uh and it's only uh going to be the obviously members of the board, but we'll bring that up at the end. Uh was there any public comment, Kaylee? >> Um we did have one parent sign up. I'm not sure if they're in the waiting room or not. >> She is in the waiting room. So, um, from the board chair, I'll let her in. >> This is Michelle Eckler. She is a Shelton parent. >> Okay, let's bring her right in, please. >> Hello, Michelle. Are you with us? >> Yes, I am. >> Hi, Miss Ackley. How are you tonight? >> Good. How are you? >> Fantastic. uh you wanted to address the board. >> Yes. Um I I have my uh prepared remarks

for you. >> Oh, great. If you wouldn't mind. >> Absolutely. Uh good evening, Vice Chair Smearaguino, Secretary Rosner, Board of Education members, and Superintendent Dr. Sarinich. My name is Dr. Michelle Eckler and I res reside at 17 Grove Street. I am here tonight not only as a resident and an educator, but most importantly as a parent. I'm proud to formally introduce you to the newly launched Shelton Special Education Parent Teacher Association or Shelton SEPTA. While a traditional PTA focuses on a single school building, SEPTA is a district-wide organization designed to support, advocate for, and connect the families of the many students in Shelton who receive specialized instruction and services. I've been asked why I took the lead in bringing Septa to Shelton despite being a busy working special needs mom. And the answer is simple.

My sons, Richie, who is 11 and a sixth grader at PHS, and Luke, who is seven and a second grader at ESS. As a parent navigating the world of specialized services, I know firsthand that the experience can feel very isolating. Despite 25 years in education, I still spent a lot of time learning new language, acronyms, and looking for a road map that doesn't feel like it always exists. My husband, being a newer educator in the city of Shelton, uh had firsthand experience with me, helping him to understand what I knew of special education, and even that as a former English language arts teacher wasn't much. Um, I know that there are many of our district parents who don't have a role in education and I want to make sure that no parent in Shelton feels

like they're advocating for their children in a vacuum. So, my husband and I started Shelton SEPTA because we believe our children deserve a community that is proactively inclusive. Richie, Luke, and all of the students like them thrive best when there's a strong partnership between home and school. and Shelton SEPTA is hopefully going to be a bridge that helps make that partnership very sustainable for the Shelton public schools. Uh our organization is built on three pillars, support, education, and advocacy. We plan to provide a space for parents to share resources and experiences. We plan to hostformational sessions on topics ranging from literacy interventions and post-secary tradition transitions, as well as supporting Mrs. Hussy and her team in their work to bring this learning to families in our city. We'll also work to ensure that inclusion isn't

just a buzzword, but a lived reality in our classrooms, on our playgrounds, and in our community. We certainly aren't here to replace the work of the school district. We are here to help, and we want to be a resource for the board and the administration so that we can help and that you can help us understand the needs and successes of our specialized populations. As such, I want to extend a specific invitation to each of you. Uh, SEPTA is strongest when it includes the voices of the decision makers and the educational leaders in our district. So, we would be honored to have you join us as members and to show our appreciation for your commitment to all of our students. We are expending extending the Shelton Public Schools educator rate to members of this board.

Your membership is a tangible signal to our families that you see them and that you are committed to the success of every learner in Shelton. Our first annual meeting is scheduled to be in May. The date is still to be determined, but we'll be holding that meeting via Zoom. And you'll be welcome to join us uh should you choose to join SEPTA, and we'll be sure to include an agenda item for you if you wish to speak. Um I have membership available for you, which I have shared with Mrs. Hussy, and she'll be able to send it out to all of you. Um, I want to thank you all very much for your time and your service to our city and hopefully in the future for supporting the mission of our Shelton SEPTA. >> Thank

you, Dr. Elo. We do appreciate it. >> And um, uh, chairman, just if I may, just for protocol purposes, just um, I do have the flyer that I was going to attach to the board and my weekly communication to them uh, this week. So, you all receive it um by the end of this week. >> Perfect. Thank you, Kaylee. Any other p uh anyone else from the public like to comment? >> Nope. >> Okay. Let's go on to reports standing committee. Uh teaching and learning. >> Teaching and learning do not meet in February. We will meet on March 13th. We will be discussing fall compared to winter data. >> Thank you, ma'am. Finance Committee. >> So, we met earlier this evening. Um, basically there's some semblance of positive news. Uh, we're not going to go

into the red uh at the end of February. Uh, now the slated end of uh end of April. We'll be about 600K uh over at that point. Uh, so minor improvement there. Uh, but everything else is status quo. Um, and we'll meet again at the end of March. Thank you, sir. Policy Joe. >> So, we met on February 10th. Um, a few policy um proposals were brought up. Um, two new ones. uh adding some language to a non-discrimination policy and adding and having free revisions of a library policy that was conduct that was already passed earlier this earlier in our term. And then um so those would be under one set of it. The other set is uh a new orientation uh to add required language from the state of Connecticut. And then uh we

had a small discussion uh in the 9,000 series for bylaws and um the transportation policy was brought up as well for um discussion. So pretty much that was what we had. These are on the docket I guess for next month for passage in the consent and regular agendas. >> These policies here, Joe, uh do we need to move them to uh >> Oh yeah, I think Oh yeah. Uh yeah, I would like I would like to motion to move these policies to the regular and consent agenda for next month. >> I'll second. >> Okay, just for clarification, that's all of them. I believe one through is that seven or eight. My eyes are bad. >> Um >> eight. >> Okay. Thank you, whoever said that. Um >> Oh, sorry. Seven. Sorry, Carol. >> Yeah, seven.

Yeah, >> that's okay. >> It's that new math, right? It's called not counting correctly. >> All right. Uh any dis um the motion was made by uh Joe, you made the motion. Is there And there a second by Miss Rosner. Am I correct? >> Correct. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um any discussion on any of these policies? >> Hearing none, we'll move those to the next regularly scheduled meeting. All those in favor state by saying I. >> I. >> Any being opposed? Motion carries. >> Let's go to BNG. Uh Mr. Nebs. >> Yeah. The uh buildings and grounds committee met on uh Wednesday, February 18th. Um a couple updates here on on what uh some new scope of work that Mr. Calhoun and his team are planning on doing. Um they're going to be working on

the uh boys restrooms uh throughout Perry Hill School. Uh the scope of work will include general repairs, painting, new partitions, repairing existing partitions along with some lighting improvements. Um as you all know, we were working on the Moheaggan floor that's been refinished and completed. Uh the last phase of work is uh painting the uh walls of the gymnasium. Um, and I I I believe that's going to take place or try to take place during uh uh April break, I believe. Um, something new came up. It's uh it's Mr. Calhoun and Dr. Sarinister are both faced with another state mandate. Uh, it includes recycling of food waste. Uh, we need to create a plan to separate uh food waste and uh and have the waste hauled away. So, we're working on uh different uh methods and

and and a plan of attack for that to make sure things are are you know obviously food waste is is separate from our our regular uh waste items. Um these these mandates are based on weight which puts us uh puts us in our larger schools in it into effect which is SIS uh Shelton High School and Perry Hill. Those are the schools that we'll be uh focusing on. Um there was also uh a lighting upgrade at Shelton High School. Um Mr. Cowan contracted someone to take care of that. They that contract uh replaced around 840 uh inefficient bulbs with uh new efficient uh dimmable LED bulbs. So that we should we should see a savings there. Uh we also continued our our mandated HVAC and air quality evaluation with four schools now in complete. Um

that's Moheaggan, Sunnyside, and Long Hill. Uh and Booth Hill. So Moheaggan, Sunnyside, Long Hill, and Boothill. Have Um, I have copies of the evaluation copy. I know that uh you guys would like some with our purchasing department at the city hall. We've opened up a uh bid on what we call opengv.com. Um, and we have a mandatory walkth through scheduled for uh 3:13 at 10:00 a.m. on the school property with any uh potential biders for the new scoreboard. Um, we created a scope of of work. Um, and we'll be there for we'll be there for for a Q&A. Um, so we can we can get try to get that started or or see where we are uh financially. Um, that that's about it. Our next meeting is in April um because we are now quarterly

but um yeah so I'll see you in April. >> Very good. Um my next item be uh before I release does anybody have you have something Carol? >> Yeah I just have a a clarifying question for Jason. Um why doesn't our food provider have to develop a food recycling policy? Why is the school district responsible for doing that? message. >> You know, Carol, that's that that's that's a good question. This is uh I know that Dr. Sarinich and John are both working on that. Um I think with the food provider as well because part of that part of the control would be the uh controlling the abundance of food that they that they bring in. So the they're definitely going to be part of the part of the program. >> If I may add, >>

I'm just I'm just think I'm sorry. I'm just thinking that if if we don't if there usually with a policy there's a you know there's some kind of a consequence if we don't do this correctly why and there's fines implemented why would the school district be be one the one to suffer any fine or any penalty that that's all you know that's my thinking >> yeah well you know I could tell you Carol I will find out with that I will find out about that and how we're going to structure it I'll keep you in the loop but I but I know for in fact we're going have the food provider uh be you know be aware of everything and and be very you know work closely with them. >> Thank you. >> Yep. >>

Uh vice chairman did you have a comment as well sir? >> No just that it is state mand mandatory that we have to do this >> I think you might know about that stuff right sir >> in your professional duty. >> Yes. Yes. Yes. There was one thing missing, but before I request to wave the rules, uh, athletic committee, do you have anything to put on or speak about at this time? >> The only thing I would like to bring up is that >> Hold on. >> I'm sorry. >> Hold on for a minute, Anthony. >> Okay. >> Because it isn't on the agenda. If you do have something, let's do this. I'd like to take a motion uh to add athletic committee uh report to the agenda. Could I have that motion? >> I'll

make that motion. Motion made by Carol, second by Lorraine. Uh, all those in favor state by saying I. >> I. >> Many being opposed. >> Also, before I let you go, uh, Anthony Kaylee, please make sure that's on the agenda each week. Anthony, go ahead, sir. >> No, just briefly, I was going to say that Jason and myself have been meeting regularly with um, our uh, athletic director. Um we also have uh met with Mrs. Riddle and things are really uh coming to fruition that um we are making a lot of progress. I will put a uh because I did not see it on there on there. So, but I will put a complete report together for uh the next meeting. But I will say that we're moving in the right direction and uh working

working with those uh individuals is a real pleasure and working with Jason also. So um again I'll I'll have a report next time when it's on the agenda and I really thank you Mr. Chairman for your time. >> Anytime. And Kaylee, you did get that right. >> Yes. I did not add it to the agenda because technically it's not a standing committee, but I will add it next time. >> Oh, no worries. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> All right, slide this down. Let's see. Uh report from liaison CES, please. Uh, first I had a quick comment on um athletics that um Scott Nell provided an update on all the athletic teams that was really really interesting and it's in the minutes if you haven't seen it. There's a lot going on that I wasn't

aware of. As far as CES is concerned, um we did not have a regularly scheduled meeting in February. We did have a quick special meeting to approve the sale of the workspace property in Bethl. Um, and the proceeds our our portion of the proceeds of that will um go to augmenting our auxiliary contingency fund uh which has been greatly depleted in the last few years due to the construction of the new property. That's all. We meet the first Thursday in March. Okay, Cab. >> Hi. Yes. I'd like to thank um Dr. Seernnich for arranging the new member training that will be held Tuesday, March 3rd, 5:30 to 7:30 at night at central office for anyone who's interested specifically. It is mandated for new um new members of the board. Um so I'd like to thank

him for arranging that for all of us. I intend to go. You know, you can always use a a a tuneup. I um I went about seven years ago when I first uh joined the board and I look forward to you know hearing um you know what what if they're bringing anything new to this training. Um a has a day on the hill and it's March 11th and it will be held at the Bosnell in Hartford. It's 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. The cost is $35. This will give you an opportunity to hear the um legislation that is being presented to the um state legislature and um understand CAB's point of view with it. They will give you some material and then later you will be brought over to the um our legislators to talk uh

about you know our support or not support of certain bills that are up. So that is on March 11th. It's I believe it's a Wednesday. I could be wrong. Yeah, it would be Wednesday because the other student >> Wednesday. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, um Yeah. So, that's and um the cost of the $35 also includes breakfast and the materials that they will give you concerning those bills that are coming up. And that's it. >> Thank you, Miss Moon. Uh, Ken, can you make sure also uh for because I know it's going to be right at dinner time or some type of snack for anyone or something to eat for everyone and some refreshments uh during the cave training, please. >> We'll have that arranged. >> Thank you, sir. Um, let's see. Give me a half

a second, everybody. Superintendent report. >> Thank you, Mr. Chair. Uh the topic of discussion is weather. Uh obviously um it has not been our friend as of late. Um we have no control over the weather and we're always going to uh we're always going to air on the side of caution uh for the safety for our students. Today we are hoping and anticipating that we were going to have students in school today. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate with us. Um, I appreciate everyone's understanding as we try to get through this winter season. I know more weather is on the way. Um, let's hope that it's not going to be as impactful as it has been these past few weeks. And just so the parents and the general public all understand, you know, the weather, making

a call regarding the weather is is always around student safety. We may think about our young kids and how they travel through the buses, but we also have to remember our student drivers at the high school and they leave much earlier than the school buses leave for our young students. We want to make sure everyone is safe when that decision is made. Uh there's a lot of factors that go into place. Um I make that decision collaboratively with the Department of Public Works, speaking with them by 4:00 a.m. in the morning. Also speaking to our bus company and their ability to drive, getting drivers in if the buses are ready as well. um when necessary and able uh I make phone calls to the police department to find out how traffic patterns are in the

city. Um but our goal is to educate students. We want them to be in school, but we want them to be safe despite the winter blues, as I'm going to say, and us challenging going through these challenging times of the weather. I do want to give um a lot of props to our Shelton staff. Um they are continually staying positive through this season. Uh I try to keep uh dire moments um in terms of weather calls uh somewhat lighthearted. Um for those of you who may not know, I play the staff music in the morning when we make those weather calls. Um I know it's being received well because I've got a lot of positive feedback from the staff themselves. It's all done just so that we can look at some of the moments where

um we can get frustrated by these calls being made but stay positive. Um, as I said earlier, I I want to give credit for the Shelton public school staff. We have a lot of great things going on. Uh, as I mentioned to the board before, we had a new teacher or we had a follow-up to our new teacher orientation and the things that we heard from our new staff was how proud they are to be a part of the Shelton school system, how supported they feel. Uh, and this was coming from staff who not only Shelton may be their first district, but it could be from staff that worked in other districts. and they had said, you know, the morale in Shelton is so high. They love being a part of the Shelton school system.

Um, we're working with our elementary teachers. We recently put together a committee to look at curriculum and how that aligns with scheduling to try to meet the needs of of our students and meet the needs for our teachers. Uh, the members of that committee are very um positive and want to get things done in the in the right direction for the staff. Um, this is coming out of when I do my office visits and I meet with teachers and they talk about their concerns in the school system and here administration wants to address them and all work together. As I've also shared with the board, we have the vision of the graduate group going working with the deeper learning institute from Harvard. Um, that has brought a lot of learning walks within our schools. um

people thinking about the vision of the graduate, people thinking about the mission of our school system and just taking things as although we do have some challenges that face us in the school system, I am so uh enamored by the positivity that comes from our staff and willing to face the challenges that we need to and work in the right direction. So, as I said, I know I started this off with weather calls and and I wanted to just share everyone that we want to have people in school. We want to work together, but I do want to thank our staff for getting through this winter season, staying positive, and looking at the best interests that we have in the Shelton public schools. So, that's all I have to say. >> Thank you, Mr. Superintendent.

Any questions, comments to the superintendent? Looks like Kate Kate, you >> I just I just want to make a comment that I shared with a neighbor, I don't know if it was today or yesterday, that Dr. Sarinich does confer with several neighboring districts who have um like geography to us when they're making their calls. So, it's it's not done in isolation. >> Thank you. Any other statements, questions to the superintendent? I'll I'll say this with probably doesn't need to be said uh to the superintendent, but always air on the side of caution. Uh we do not want any incidents. We can't stop them, but we could certainly make good sound decisions as to what going to school in inclement weather. I'd rather and we had a discussion on the first storm and I told him

to cancel it by Saturday. He waited a little bit, but I do appreciate it and I will let everybody know whenever the superintendent we do discuss it in the background uh when he needs to and does seek uh a thought pattern from the board as well. Ah Jackie, you're up on the hopper. Healthcare update. I did hear from the finance chairman, but as always, where are we at? So we are I can just go to my report. Um the year-to-ate expenditure is 6 mill 6.145 million that represents 75.2% of the budget expended and 24.8% remaining. Um the annualized health insurance projection is 10.5 million. uh it did decrease and that's due to a lag in receiving the RX credits and the stop-loss rebates. We received a significant amount of money for those two totaling 709,000.

So right now we're looking at a projected over budget by roughly just under 2.4 4 million and we'll be over budget roughly 609,000 um by April. >> What was that amount by April? 600,000. >> 609,000. >> Any questions for Miss Toolings? Um I'm having a problem. I can't see. You probably have to say let me There we go. Does anybody have uh questions or statements? As you know, in the past, I've asked a letter to be sent. I believe uh Mr. Sarin, if you could speak to that, at least on that issue or Jackie, uh we have got an acknowledgement, I believe, that they have received our notification as well as are beginning to look at the possible uh overage in this account. Am I correct? So, um, we do know that they've received the

letters. Uh, I h I have not had any personal interaction with any direct alderman or the mayor himself about the communications from the letters themselves. Um, we did have a few aldermen inquire about the budget process because we were in budget season and we had the workshops and we put the budget proposal together. um which of course healthcare is a major topic with that but there was no direct response um from the letters themselves. >> Okay. I'd look for advice from the board on this issue. Would the board like to send another letter or would you like me to hold my powder dry? We've now done it three times if I'm not mistaken. I'll solicit any input from anybody. Miss New? >> Yeah. U Mr. Chair, I I think we should I think we should

every month that you we're we're running in a de, you know, going to potentially run in a deficit. I think it just covers us. >> Anyone else? >> I agree with Patty. >> Very good. Anyone else? I guess I I I agree as well. It can't it can't hurt just to keep them uh keep everyone in the loop. >> Anyone else? >> I agree with Patty also. >> Okay, that makes a majority with myself. Dr. Sarinich, please send another letter. Uh let's make this one a little bit more concise and directly to the point that we're now estimating that we will be per Jackie. I think it was 609 Jack. >> So we will be 609,000 is when we have Yeah, that will be over budget by April. But I don't know if you want

to put the projected amount, the annualized. Um, >> no, not yet. >> Let's hold that back. Let's try to keep it directly to the point if we could. My reason for doing that, everyone, is I I definitely want to call their I want to keep calling their attention to the matter. >> Um, and I think it might just confuse because we are we did actually push it out. Thank God. I do have one other question for you. Remember we talked about the 700,000 last month. Has that been received? >> Yes, that's what I spoke about. The January RX credits and stop loss was 709,000. That was posted in January, which helped mitigate some of that deficit and push us out to April. >> I thought so, but I definitely wanted to put it on the

record. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> Dr. Cerninich, uh, acknowledge, uh, that we're going to do another letter, please. >> I got it. Thank you, sir. Just because we're on Zoom, I'm sorry. No, I understand. >> Okay, let me see what our next one item is. Again, I'm toggling screen screens. H I guess it's on me. Chair comments from the board. Chair this month. I would like everybody to play very close attention to what I say. I don't do this quite often. I try to make as little possible. Uh a good old uh opposite councilman number of years told me his name is Ray. Um and he told me make as very small amount of co uh comments as possible so that your words are taken and in this case I want to warn all

the board members of the following. Please remember that you have a fiduciary duty to the board. You have an ethical to the board. Many of you have held positions outside of here. You've had employment outside of the board. I would never want to have to have an ethical breach where someone may ask you to serve, to negotiate, to do anything that would compromise you as a board member. And this is to everyone. Make sure things you say and do are the best representation of the board and that you're always keeping in mind that your responsibility is to the children of this district and to the taxpayers of this city. Be very careful of what you promise and that this board acts, if you would, as a conscientious mindset that we work through majority and that

no one, including myself, has any power over the superintendent or the board in anything we do. So, please keep that in mind, especially for our newest members, is that we work through, if you would, an amoibo n mindset and we go through consensus on everything we do. So, with that being said, we're going to head uh into the following is going to be the executive session, I believe. Uh give me a half a second. Is there anything else I'm missing? Uh, Mr. Chair, I don't know if you want to do celebrations before >> I did. I missed that. Thank you, sir. Any celebrations? >> Yeah, I was uh pretty excited. My 13-year-old grandson uh we went down to Texas and he received his black belt in karate. um the local Shelton where he has uh

been training is uh connected with Texas and that's where you go and you you know that from the get-go and um I'm I'm just so proud of him and the hard work uh that he put into it. >> Great to hear, sir. We heard you're going for your black belt next. >> Yeah. Oh, no doubt about it. Yeah. Any other celebrations or announcements? >> Yeah, it looks like uh tomorrow's forecast is sunny and 37. >> Yay. >> I'll be in shorts. >> Do we have a score on the We have a score on the Shelton basketball game tonight yet? >> No. >> Okay. >> I'll check in though. >> I really appreciate it. >> I do. So, we're going to go um get a request from the board. uh the following. We're going to go

into executive session, but I need to do it here and then you're going to have to link into the next Zoom uh so everybody understands. I would like to take a motion uh that we enter into executive session. I would like to have the superintendent, uh the board attorney, and the members of the board of education. Could I have that as a motion? >> I'll make that motion. >> Is there a second? second or mo move or Lorraine and I take your pick. >> Second. >> You got it. I'm gonna go with Lorraine because I think I heard her first as the primary mover and then Miss Coutas is the second. All those in favor state by saying I >> I. >> Many being opposed. Now, for the record, when we go into executive session,

I am going to ask uh I'll talk about it then and make sure no one has a conflict. So that I can't do that right here. In addition, I have to warn everyone. We're on a Zoom call. You must make sure that there is no one else in proximity that can hear the Zoom. You need to be in private. If not, do you know if you're on your phone or you're someplace with his other family members, do not partake. Uh it is important that the sanctity of the executive session stay intact. Everybody understands? >> Yep. >> Thank you. With that being said, uh I I'm not going to adjourn this meeting because we're actually going to still be in the meeting and I think we're going to have to come back, I believe, to adjourn.

I'm trying to think. Give me a half a second. Everybody, >> Mr. Chair, we can adjourn when we come out of the executive session and note it in the minutes. We don't have to go back into another uh Zoom link. >> Okay, let's do that then. I'll let the record show that I'm going to come out of the executive session and do exactly as Dr. Sarinid said. Uh we'll adjourn from the executive session. Uh and just to make sure, everyone, please review the agenda. Is there any other business to come before the board barring the executive session? Hearing none, everybody log out and go into the executive session, please.
