003you're next to report. Welcome. Uh, hello everyone. Um, so just to get us started, our winter sports teams are doing pretty well right now. Our wrestling team, I believe they have over a dozen wins and two losses. Um it was our their senior night tonight. So that was great. Um our basketball team is 9 and one undefeated in the our conference. So doing amazing there as well. Um indoor track had multiple kids qualify for this state championships. Um we also had our winter sports pep rally last Friday. Um got a lot of great feedback on that. So uh student council did a great job on that. Um we had our midterms last week. Um that was from Wednesday to Tuesday. We also had Coco and Creme by the National Honor Society. Um the Tuesday before
004after school, I believe over 80 kids attended. It was the most in the recent history of the event. And we've also had our co-ed and unified basketball teams happening. So that's also making great for school. >> Yep. And in the next month on February 5th, we have a college planning night for our juniors and underassmen preparing for college next year. Uh tomorrow we have our national honor society induction ceremony uh for the juniors and seniors that were accepted into the program and the current NHS members are running another blood drive at the high school which was very successful last time and uh recently the high school has been um named as a honoral bronze distinction by the college board. Uh so this is given to schools with broad participation in the AP exams and exceptional
005results. We also earned gold status for college credit and college optimization. Last year we had 320 students take 555 tests across 22 subjects and 84% earned a three or higher which is accepted for college credit which is amazing. >> Okay questions from the board or student reps? Seeing none, I'll move on to the next item. Uh, entertain a motion to go into executive session. Uh, I believe we want to have our attorney, Mr. Tom Carter. Uh, superintendent, is there anyone else to be commented? >> Nope. Okay, >> Mr. Chair, >> go. >> I wish to recuse myself from this, please. >> Very well. You have a conflict of interest, ma'am. >> Yes. >> Okay. Thank you. Do you need any further explanation, Tom, for a conflict of interest or just a statement thereof? Okay. Um,
006I would advise the board member not to vote on going into executive session or any comments or uh and recluse yourself completely from all votes regarding this matter. I need a motion. Go into executive session. >> I'll make a motion to go into executive session. >> Patty made that and Joe, you seconded it. >> Okay. All those in favor state by saying I. >> I. Any being opposed? Motion carries. One recluse, please make sure you show that on the record.
