i hope uh [Music] okay i'm here okay i don't have a video but i'm here all right we're gonna get started [Music] all right we'll call the special committee of the whole meeting um to order first item on the agenda is policy 4118.31 reports of suspected abuse or neglect policy [Music] yes these three policies are all very important um the first one um on all three of these were brought to us after review by either rebecca from shipman and goodwin who as you know is our help with special ed and title one and then the third one the social media was with nick relu so as we look at those just know that they've looked at this we've gone back and forth with wood with wording but this first one is an update again on

the procedures when any staff member is suspected of abusing or neglecting a student the biggest procedural change in the case of a staff member being suspected of neglecting or abusing a child and the dcf referral is made is that responsibility now falls to the superintendent or designee to immediately contact the parent and the guardian that's new and you can see the wording in there it's immediate so the parent knows that a a child has been there's an alleged neglect or abuse by a an employee of the school district and that's different this necessitates all dcf referrals being reported to the principal or the principal's designee also so and if someone's say another staff member suspects a staff member of abusing a a child not only would that person be required to file a dcf referral

excuse me but they'd also be required to report to the principal the principal would then report to me and i would contact the parent or the guardian or ask the principal to contact the parent or the guardian so those are the biggest changes this is something that again rebecca has been helpful with this rebecca and allison obviously have been working on this with neil and if you have any questions on it they haven't answered them i would suggest that we bring this back to the september board meeting for approval to happen to answer any questions so i have a few but i'll refer to the board first um heidi do you do you have any questions [Music] no okay so um my question um on the first policy in the first paragraph it talks about

all employees and then when you get to the definition section definitions section um the third paragraph down it defines what is meant by a school employee and i'm just asking relative to you know in that description or definition of the school employee we're not talking about you know maintenance people custodial i i just want to make sure that if we're spelling out what we mean by a school employee we're including everybody and not leaving anybody out if we're going to take the time to define it that way yes yes we are there are you can see on page they're not page numbers but it's number four it says procedures for statutorily mandated reporters and then the next one is for other employees so the statutory mandated reporters are the ones listed there on that first

page teachers substitutes counselors that whole group administrators the other group are the people you're talking about they're the ones that don't have the uh and that would be our tech people or uh maintenance or you know those folks but everybody is is required to file it under this policy yes okay and that's all i have okay so we'll bring this back then for approval at the september meeting the second policy this is an update of a current policy again this was updated by rebecca um basically updated definitions and process for reporting child abuse and neglect um just a note allison previously gave the board the link to the mandated reporter training which covers all of these procedures and staff must renew that every three years and i recall we do it we did it every

two years we just did it with everybody after two years so and all new staff have to do that so it'll be our suggestion that board members for your own just to see what our staff goes through you would go through that or take a look at that training if you have a chance so if there's any are there any questions on that policy yeah we're talking about policy 5141.4 child sexual abuse and assault response policy [Music] my son was actually watching it said that you're not clear speak up so that's important okay well that works yes um all right so my question is in because of the specificity that we practiced in later on in this document on page three where it said the following sets fourth possible interventions supports which may be utilized

to support individual students referral to a school counselor psychologist appropriate social mental and it it enumerated all the different strategies and people that could be used i was hoping that that same sort of detail could be added to the 1a on the first page where students or any individuals i thought that was one of the things that we had sort of a problem with and title ix as and as well the um what did we call our the um the school the safe school climate specialist work together to to find all different strategies for children who had experienced yes sexual harassment but sexual abuse would be included in this and may feel particularly as an adolescent that they were a little uncomfortable of sharing or communicating what had happened so here when it says may

make a written or verbal report i thought that was one thing that we were not going to push there for them to write it out because they didn't have exactly the vocabulary and um i thought that there were several ways that you could go about communicating a discomfort that you had a sexual harassment or sexual abuse discomfort um there was going to be a peer support group an anonymous site the safe futures council i was hoping that all of those things could be enumerated there so they would know so everyone would know where you could go if you suspected child sexual abuse either of yourself or something that you observed and then where it says the safe school climate specialist or designee and in another part of this document it said safe school climate specialist

slash title ix coordinator i think that that should be put in there as well because i think they work as a team allison is our safe school climate specialist right alicia and all of the administrators are could be designated through the training and they would work with allison in the case of this and we put both written or verbal and as a student or any individual we've made it so there's any any way to express a concern it's not just written and that was as a result of our discussion we didn't want it just to be it written be written or verbal and by a student or another individual for that student and then it said to any school employee but the title ix created a lot of other avenues for children to communicate comfortably

and one was i understood a peer support group there was a site for just anonymous um indication and then even the safe future intervention and support which may be utilized after the individual has been identified i thought the procedure for reporting sexual abuse or sexual assault you say students or individuals may make of suspected sexual abuse so there's the suspected sexual abuse once that's been decided then these are the different strategies but who do you go to as a student um shouldn't it i i just think if you could cut and paste what was on this page three well i know rebecca on one a is the student or any individual can make written or verbal to any school employee i mean that's about as open as it possibly can be i think the confusion

may be those other people aren't required reporters and these are people in the first in section at 1a [Music] so i don't i think you'd be confusing the issue by putting them in this list because they may not have a legal obligation to report uh something if someone told them actually i think that's why it's broken down this way okay i understand that and that that helps clarify a little bit but i'm i'm reflecting back on our experience with chokis where many of the kids that i spoke to didn't feel that they had someone who they could go to that they felt comfortable enough about sharing this and so when you just say to any school employee i liked that that sensitivity to the discomfort of those adolescents was being considered when we were opening

up a lot of different avenues for these um these victims or these young adolescents to be able to express it so they if let's say that if they wrote to an anonymous on a i don't know what i i wish allison were here i and i wish um alicia were here but there is a site where you can go and you can actually put concerns and if those begin to about a particular individual it's just another way doing it without exposing you because that is the discomfort of someone who feels that they have been a part of this so that's why just to any school employee can they what every school employee because they i think appears somebody who they could trust more and and i know that that alicia did put that there well

i think what you're asking is it makes sense but i'm not sure what's belonging here in this section that's all it means it needs to be a separate section sort of outlining what your your intent is uh this is because this is really about the policy manual or the board in the district and you're um of requesting an amplification on sort of the legal requirements and maybe it's an ad ending or a separate section i don't know but that would it doesn't sort of fit here in terms of the experience that we had where there were children who were uncomfortable about going to a school employee now we say if you anybody who notices and parents as well that they need to go to an official person but i think there was a repository that

was created by um alicia with the concern of the sensitivity of some of these kids that have experienced something that they feel uncomfortable about embarrassed about not able to talk about and so that was that avenue and just to only give any school employee it opened it up to more um so maybe the that specificity that is in title ix maybe is referenced here i think the intent here was to open it up and not say that you have to go to the administrator or the counselor you could go to any any employee and this doesn't preclude you know the voices the discussions or encouraging students to find that the teacher or the counselor or whoever whatever school they feel comfortable with this was to expand that option this doesn't say how they're going to

do that with uh you know assemblies or announcements or voice or whatever that's that's just letting students know that they can go to anybody and it's safe and they can write it or just say it or their friends can say it and then it will it will be handled from there with our safe school specialist person that was the intent with this that's what rebecca was and allison were doing just making sure that students knew that it wasn't limited they if it says you have to go to the assistant principal and you don't get along with the assistant principal then you're right he did that that's where people didn't feel comfortable this is very specific that you can go to anybody and it's going to be taken care of i think that that was the

intent with the policy level to any school employee let's say for instance that um say future counselor are they a school employee the a future counselor that has her um all around this high school it encourages people to come to her she has an office i think that's right next to alicia's then that certainly would be a safe person i don't know i don't think she's employed by the school and that would be a very good person to be able to go to so so when we do this i understand what ie's position is and then you know maybe we need to share that with legal and just get an understanding as to how do those items or concerns get addressed is it within the policy is it in another you know document and then

we can bring that back it will certainly do that i guess my my question is a student could go to a safe future they could go to their minister they could grow their parents but we don't have any that's not a board policy this is saying that somehow they could go to the same schools and that person it says or any individual that person could then talk to any of us any school employee the idea here is somebody in the within the district has to find out about this so how we would encourage them to go to safe schools or just say or go to their minister or their parents or their cousin and then that person could come to us but we can't be responsible for doing anything until we know about it that

was right but is the fact that until there's actual communication with a district employee there's no action that can be taken and i think that's what and i understand that this is is referring to there are a number of vehicles as you very well described that has been input in place and their vehicles like a repository of where their problems and then they know how to get it to the administrators to the school employer that's sort of the um it's staging it sits there for the moment it's a more comfortable place to put it first and then it gets into [Music] and make a comment or a complaint and then they don't tell us and so it it so in other words and then we could be considered liable for not encouraging them to use

an appropriate channel i think that's the concern um and that's why when frank says we should run it past legal we need to see if we say something that would discourage them from using the best channel and then we created a liability for the district so that's i think that's sort of the issue that's behind this i don't know i don't think i was thinking the best i was thinking which was the most comfortable for a particular child in a particular situation so it it opens up because i do think that that was some of the problems the way that the they felt uncomfortable talking about it because because they were the ones who felt guilty about doing it and and on it went so this was just fine that's why i thought alicia was

particularly sensitive to this and that's why she has set up so many different um kinds of um communication stations depending on what sort of child you are and where you can go and feel comfortable about sharing something that is causing is interfering with your learning and others learning because it sets up a toxic environment so i i maybe there's just a reference to it um this isn't a student handbook i realized that right so that so maybe that is just a reference to the student handbooks in the student handbook i guess i haven't seen that i guess there is all of the resources are underrated so all the students know where they can go other than just a school employee okay right so so i like i said i understand what you're saying i read

it differently in the sense that i don't think it's discouraging anything you're talking about it's it's establishing the fact that it's not necessarily just the student but any individual that that student goes to the district cannot be liable for something that they don't have an awareness of and this is establishing how that awareness is created but with that said i you're what you're understand and you know that's i think we can have that conversation with legal to ask how does that become a part of and i need to look at the student handbook and see that that because that's i want the students to know about it more than i want us but i would like us to be able to oversee it and say well it's policy that should be there so that's what

i need to do well let me look into that a little bit but i i know the discussion with rebecca that any individual that was meant to allow say futures or anybody else that have some information to report it rather than the students so the students comfortable with let's say the same futures person then they could let us know that's why it's as broad as it can be it's in individual i think i think that that works in the policy hopefully in the student handbook it enumerates it so as specifies it more than just any school employee all of all the different strategies that have been created by title ix and by the safe school climate person so that's something that i'll try to look into jack anything on your part i want to make

sure we include you here yeah i just wonder as a practical matter um do we just have these discussions with students like at orientation or um and when we do talk about this topic do we suggest uh kind of a hierarchy or is it just you know talk to any employee i mean ideally you would want them probably to you know speak to someone in you know like a principal or a vice principal or someone like that but or or a counselor i suppose um can you just talk to that a little bit speak to that i think that would be best coming from alicia i know what they they offer that whole list of options for people and i think jack they wouldn't say they want to they want the students to know if

you're comfortable you know with an assistant principal or your voice or your counselor great but if you happen to have a close relationship with your social studies teacher or your pe teacher feel free to express your concern to them and they will be able to follow through i mean that's the idea it doesn't limit whose students can go to to get help that was the whole intent marianne there's a deliberate link to this to the school survey the climate surveys that the kids take yeah at the beginning of the year the end of the year um in that one of the questions is always is there somebody in the building that you can go to to talk to and so that's the link is if it's the school secretary if it's the nurse if it's

the pe teacher it's different for every kid in that building and so that's what we're trying to make the connection to heidi i think is that we that's why we measure it on that climate survey is we want to make sure that every single student has somebody that they can have those uncomfortable conversations but right so to make a list to answer your question or jack's question about the hierarchy it's not about hierarchy it's about like you said this is the comfortable person that that child can go through i don't think it's hierarchy i just think it's individuals yeah that was the word that jack used yeah and that's a that's a good consideration as well but i um you can't make a total list but i think i i liked the idea of a

peer support that that you could become part of anonymously and and then that would find its way to the to the um the right administrator and the right person to so i don't think it has to be specific but just a list of general categories of where you can go and maybe that's in the handbook jack did your question get answered yes thank you okay any um other comments questions discussion on that policy [Music] all right next item is uh social media policy uh 4218 um dot five one uh this was on the board agenda for our meeting uh two weeks ago uh and we moved it to the cal meeting uh jack had some uh concerns that he wanted to make sure got addressed so jack before i go around the room here i

just want to make sure that your concerns uh were adequately addressed and if you have any other questions or or comments to make oh thank you yeah no uh thanks to the uh uh to dr riley and and marianne for for meeting with me it was productive i feel comfortable with the policy and i'm ready to move forward with it okay heidi any questions greg dr riley did you have just a quick summary um this is the supplement that nick nick's office put this together for us and we really appreciate it um it does a couple things it does it supplements the acceptable use policy for our staff it provides some guidance for reposting school information to personal accounts which we didn't have before it clarifies what kinds of behaviors may make staff vulnerable to

lawsuits that interfere with the workplace or learning environment and it protects student privacy i think nick did a good job with this and and i do want to thank jack for coming in we had a good talk and i think we uh it this doesn't answer every single possible scenario i think it says that in there but it certainly gives someone some proper guidance uh i appreciate nicaragua and his particularly when we have individuals posting or reposting school information to their personal facebook account so that's been an issue shall we say i was wondering what motivated you and all bargaining units have had the opportunity to review the policy is that the only bargaining unit that reviewed it i don't i don't believe so just to take this the uh mr freeman sca but it

includes more than just that marketing unit right it does but we could certainly share it with others before the september yeah i mean i just think that's a probably good practice sure so okay any other uh discussion on it all right next item is the district improvement policy i mean uh so before the doors of the school is open this year we wanted to share our district improvement plan goals and targets with you the schools are going to use this document to guide their development of individual school improvement plans the target areas and some of the evidentiary statements on this document should look familiar to you because we are they are the same as last year with uh new goals that are set new targets especially in the areas of the standardized test we believe

that a continued focus on these key areas is necessary in order to realize significant progress in the acceleration of student learning for all of our students the purpose of this report is to provide you with a broad rush picture of the work we planned for this year not to discuss the assessment results this is a little backwards because uh you will have the mark and marianne show the annual state assessment results will be delivered to you along with the principles at the september board meeting so you're going to see some numbers in here that you have not seen before and that's because uh the test results have just been finalized and we'll be we're putting that report together for you for the september meeting so we have three buckets that we are basically focusing on

again this year they are again the same as last year academics diversity in equity and inclusion which includes our sel social emotional learning as well as title ix issues and then long-range planning around the focus areas of academics operations and the budget so i'm just going to highlight for you again it's been a while since we've had an accountability report and it's we're not going to have all the day of data that we typically have outside of a pandemic but just as a refresher when those accountability reports are in play there are 12 indicators all 12 are in play at the high school only and then as we go down the grade bands we have fewer than 12 of those indicators some of them are referenced here so under the uh under the academic section

uh you see that we're going to be giving you that report as well as benchmark assessment reports that especially with the star assessment they are very very good predictors of how the students are going to do on that state test in the spring we will only have performance numbers for you this year no growth numbers because remember we did not test the previous year in that 2020 year so it's going to again look a little bit more abbreviated than in past years we used a very modest target we hope that these will be easily met and we will exceed all of these targets around five percentage points in the academic areas of uh mathematics language arts and science i do as a recovering science teacher i want you to know that our science scores were

steady through the pandemic i don't know what the heck is going on there we didn't see any dips in that in that performance in that content area so that will be something interesting to look at maybe they are studying the pandemic it's authentic assessments going on there right um and again you have other measures uh in grade 11 for the accountability measures both in ela and mathematics just remember that those aren't scores mr freeze made me promise that i would tell you those are not scores that we're measuring there but we're measuring percentages of students that meet the or beat these the state standard on the state average performance at the high school level because they look at a bunch of different assessments for those measures s a t uh a c t and so

forth ap scores so it's it's not quite the same a measurement or indicator as you're gonna see for the grade three through eight on time graduation we're also going to take a look at and would like to share with you this year some of our data that we collect through east con around student engagement they're going to be in all of our buildings this year so i think it will be very interesting for you to have a better understanding of what we keep talking about these student engagement strategies and trauma-based practices uh we're going to give you a little bit more information about what that data looks like and where we're moving the needle there and then again hopefully we'll be quote unquote back to the regular assessment routines and we'll have for you before

the end of the year before summer vacation we should have those test results from the state back we had made progress in that area before the pandemic the state had really done a great job of getting those scores to us before the summer break our second area of focus uh is the dei work for diversity equity and inclusion work we're going to continue with our voice program district wide and we will have three reports one in october one in february one in may probably alicia and anne-marie houle uh will be we'll be taking the lead on that uh we do have for you the responses uh from those title nine kinds of questions at all of the buildings if you remember last year we gave them both in the fall and the spring so you're

seeing the metrics that we gathered last spring with a new target at each one of those grade bands again at the elementary level at the middle school level and at the high school level we had a meeting today centered around our professional development opportunities for our staff specific to uh dei work we're ready to go we have some role playing that's going to go on around different scenarios we have some exciting things happening there that uh to give our teachers uh to develop their skill set and having some of these different difficult conversations not only when intervening um in situations between two children but also uh dealing with the um the staff you will be and parents when you will be seeing probably in september also a waiver that i'm going to ask you to

approve that will allow us to take advantage of a modification in the state teacher and administrator evaluation system so that we can actually have the teachers focus on seo goals again this year like they did last year we do need to go through a formalized process in order to take advantage of that and we also have incorporated some examples for teachers and mr freeman has seen these that if they would like to incorporate as an seo goal something around their practice specific to dei that they are going to be free to do so it won't be a force march some people may want to go with academic goals others might want to go with something around a different seo practice but we do want to make sure that they have some examples and an option

to take a look at equity issues within their classrooms or their practices we have uh are engaging in negotiations with april dean woody to lead dei discussions with our leadership team she actually started that work with us it was a very productive session uh and we're gonna have her kind of what i refer to as put us on the weight watchers program and come back in and make sure that we are saying and doing what we what we promised that we were going to do as far as not just looking at our data but taking action around it and also helping to support our leaders develop their skill set around some of these courageous conversations our dei team that members are listed there we met today they're supporting us with facilitating conversations in this role

playing and professional learning that's going to be happening district-wide the same the same experiences for all of our educators and all of our paraprofessionals on september 1st when we come back together i also would like to give a nod to an informal this is a different this is not the gordon lord family advisory panel this is uh an informal family advisory group that has come together april dinwoody and also uh the linux family actually kind of informally got this started we've had a couple meetings we're going to be meeting again september 15th they've given us some very clear ideas very concrete actions of some of which we have already taken and it's been enormously helpful in moving our work forward and we appreciate their help you'll see that on the top of page eight just

oh yes thank you thank you doctor we also uh have had some conversations with the town and the police department we um have all three agencies have agreed to meet on september 15th just as an informal copy to talk about you know where can we move this work as a town forward we're only one leg of the three-legged stool it would be nice to have our other partners working with it in concert with us and sending a very strong clear message around that work and then allison and i will be developing we have a lot of ideas on my whiteboard if you've been in my office how to provide the speaker series for some of our all of our families different venues different schools around dei uh topics as well as social emotional topics anything

from student anxiety eating disorders school avoidance any of those things that might be helpful to parents i know allison had a speaker in around that student anxiety issue i think it was two years ago i can't even remember it was a year or two years ago but it was one of the most well attended um we definitely want to reach out and find ways to offer series like that for parents and offer it both in a lot hopefully in a live after school modality as well as a higher distance remote modality because it people we hear more and more that they like to take advantage of that that works well for them not only in these kinds of settings but also for parent conferences and such and then obviously we're going to keep up the

the website and the webpage a monthly update there's something also that if folks who are listening at home in each each month in the newsletters that go home at the elementary at the middle and at the high school there is a dei corner so that's one place that we send information that's going on at all buildings to all parents so that you know if you have only one high school student and nobody in the elementary school you get an idea of what is happening in all of our elementary schools as well as the middle school so look for that uh in several we just published uh our fourth podcast our back to school podcast i'd like to thank our chairman of the board and our superintendent and also mr freeman who were my interviewees a

distinguished panel of leaders um so take a look take a listen to that but uh the other three podcasts do have a dei focus to them then finally long run range planning we're going to obviously work very closely with uh transitioning the new board we have four new board members that will be coming on in november we want to make sure that they have a very specific and helpful transition uh seeing how there's so many of them and we have some very specific things that we want to work with them on uh and also then the you'll see a series of long-range plans for budgets and fiscal projections and again we'll be communicating with the families around anything covered related and also we're going to be advising the district or the board rather on any

needs and shifts in staffing needs that may be driven by policy impacts or legal demands and then we'll be putting together a 20 years this 20-year facilities plan with peter's health um including financial implications and expectations and then finally as as the law requires we'll be giving you sr2 and our investment updates and planning updates every six months uh the first one will be coming in december and then follow in june and then follow in december and so on so again we'll give you more specific information on the scores in september meeting but we just wanted you to know that these are the kinds of things that our teachers are engaged in and are the work that we're focusing on at the leadership level and then down in the classroom and school level so i

just have one um suggestion doesn't nothing needs to change here uh with this suggestion but that new board their first meeting will be the november board meeting and very quickly in january they're going to be presented with a budget with the majority of the board changing i think it would be very important to whoever the new chair is that a retreat happens with that new board the administrative team so that you know people can start to jail they're going to be drinking from a fire hose board of education that the work that the board does is not easy work and you know they're going to have to make some big decisions pretty quickly so any type of orientation or you know meeting with uh principals and whatever i would suggest you know it happen in

multiple stages but front loading some of that so that they can get a feel for it and then maybe it'll have to happen again you know i really really want the board to be engaged and productive and it does take time to get your arms around it so um just for whatever that's worth thank you any other questions we will be holding a candidate forum um prior to the election so we can meet with the with the board candidates and have all of our cabinet members kind of go through these are the different departments and how they work and we would hope that frankly you could be there and talk about the role of the board and the chair one of the things the other thing that just came i don't know how everybody missed

this but november 11th that first board meeting is veteran's day so we need to think about how do we want to keep that changes what do we want to do that night and then one one question i have goes back to these other two policies and sorry to jump around um you know we talk about sexual harassment a lot these policies are talking about child sexual abuse and assault or neglect i want to make sure and i want to make sure that that is inclusive of harassment or is harassment addressed differently yes those are two different things so they are they are addressed you mean instructionally frank is that what you're after i i didn't hear you i'm sorry oh i'm sorry do you mean instructionally addressed separately no no no so so again i

i apologize because i'm jumping here but when we were going through this i saw sexual harassment come up a number number of times and i had another question when we were going over the first two policies 4118 and 5141 where we're talking about abuse and specifically to child sexual abuse and assault my memory of the question how are we addressing harassment is that addressed in separate policies i believe it's in a separate policy but i don't have it in front of me but can we verify that okay absolutely i can send it to the whole board the link to the policy okay pretty sure there's a separate and a separate one for bullying there's a whole series all right i appreciate that but yeah we haven't gone through that yet right i mean we're going

through each one of these what you're going through heidi is um many new policies a lot you know especially like the social media is a brand new policy the focus and my hope is that before the new board is on is that you can button up the 9000 series because that's that really hasn't been touched since 1995 right so a lot of it a lot of policy work is constant revision and attention to different series and then it is unbelievable in the last four years how much new policy is being generated it's an enormous job to keep up with it so there's that tension of staying current with the policies that you've already approved and updating them and then the approval of new policies that you know the world is dynamic and we like to

keep paying the lawyers to drop these things jack i want to be mindful that you're participating virtually is did you have any uh questions or comments related to the plan does the district improvement plan no i just wanted to um marianne mentioned the the forum on anxiety and i attended that and i thought it was excellent and so i agree if we can do more of that along the way um it brings the whole community together around some potentially difficult topics but uh definitely worthwhile and uh i think it was a really nice thing it was well attended and uh so yeah i agree with you marianne on that one thanks thank you thanks jeff i had a comment actually on the planet and i don't i think it was excellent um but i don't

feel necessarily if you need to do this for this plane but i thought it would have been nice if there was perhaps another column called strategy so for example under the action statement says sbs will improve performance in grades three through eight as measured by a smarter balance and then you have a box that might highlight what you're actually going to do to do that and also again with the evidentiary statement um it would be i i if i were doing i know i'd just be throwing numbers out sort of too and some of them but like if you had a rationale for what what that new goal was like it's a continuation of the three-year trend or you know it's maxed out so we only expect a two percent increase this year because i

mean it's i don't want people to think that you know these could be um goals that were just aspirational or some of them might be more reasonable um so two things craig in the in the slideshow that you're going to see in september you're going to see the trends and so the numbers will be more contextualized for you that they're not just out of nowhere in some instances it's very close to res hitting the reset button to get back pre pandemic um and others it's a little bit loftier than that and then to answer your first question is the school improvement plans would have the distinct strategies under each one of those headers if you would like to see those school improvement plans we can certainly get those too um they should all be posted

once they're complete but we just wanted to share this with you so that you this gives you a really good idea of the kinds of work that everybody is involved in and the reason why those aren't those strategies aren't drilled down that way is because they're different at each school you're welcome any other comments on the district improvement plan okay that was the last item on the agenda for this evening uh regular board meeting is uh september 9th uh the month uh motion to return motion made is there a second second motion mated there's a second all in favor opposed motion character
