001Arlington Community High School is one of our high schools that provides opportunities for our students who have made the decision that they want a different experience than what they would get in a comprehensive high school. We partnered with our CTE Syphax partners. We decided to launch a future ready workshop. So, we partnered to have our students have the opportunity to get some career um and post-secondary experiences and also just knowledge of doing basic post-secondary things. This event is important to me because I think it's a critical piece that we're often missing. We talk a lot about the theoretical. We ensure that our students have a solid foundation in literacy both in math and in English, but sometimes we forget that ultimately their post-high school journey is going to at some point uh require a career.

002It looks like there's a bunch of different employers involved across different industries to talk about different opportunities for these students. We're really here to educate students on the careers they can build in the construction industry. This event is important because you can you can get a job and learn about jobs including the skills you need and and learning about jobs and nursing. And I like this job and that's a good for me because I'm learning. This is a great event for people in our Arlington community who are graduating soon, who are looking for different fields that they potentially want to go into. And so, I think it's really important for all of the community to show up and explain how many different types of jobs there are and how many different types of career paths

003people can have.
