001Let me hear it. Good afternoon, Kenmore. I'm here for a very special reason to announce that our 2026 Leader of the Year for Arlington Public Schools is Ms. Amy McCloskey. Congratulations. I came over here what I thought was a a problem in the kitchen. So, I was worried about what it could be. It's the middle of lunch and I came over and all of a sudden I was so surprised to see everybody out here. I had no idea. Amy's great. I'm so happy that she's Leader of the Year. She's always conscious and she just does the right thing. Always looking for ways to help our students. Always encouraging me to eat lunch, meeting with them and to find out what they would really like to eat and so that we're trying to increase the number

002of students who are eating breakfast and lunch. I've worked here for 20 years. We have worked so hard to try to come as far as we have with free school lunch and free breakfast, changing our menus. I love to see them eating our lunch and being grateful that it's free and it's just it's it's the cherry on the top. We've We've been working hard for a very long time and I'm so pleased that we've been able to do such good things for kids. And our latest initiative is that we're trying to get free breakfast and lunch meals for all students throughout APS. Right now we have 10 schools, so we've got 32 more to go and we're looking forward to that challenge. It's really important that everybody on the school nutrition staff feels like they're

003part of the school system and let everybody know how much we want to contribute and be a part of the community. It means so much to know that people who are working in support services have a voice and we're so proud to be a part of this school district and we're so proud to be able to support the work that everyone's doing. So, I'm glad that we're able to represent that group of people and I hope everybody feels as proud as I do. It means everything. I'm completely shocked. It's a great day. Thank you.
