Oh my go and uh call the uh to order roll call. I'm here. Mario's here. Case D is here. Kevin's here. Doug's here. back. >> Sue Sue is here. John, Ella, and Fiona is back. Good to see you. >> Dave is here. Mike Z, John, Jenny, Zack, Dean, Jeff Putnham, and only great Mike >> Mcc on the agenda. I have to add want to change two things. On item number 12, which is executive session, it should say Discussion of existing or potential litigation, mediation, arbitration, or administrative proceedings. Have a motion to approve that change of wording. >> So move on. >> I'll second. Is there something else? >> No. >> Okay. So, we're approving the agenda with that. With that, there's another agenda item which is good. Uh you second it. I'm sorry. >> The

second we just want to add uh on item. So we'll make it number 10A discussion about open house in November. Got a motion to approve that. Move that. >> I'm on second. >> Second. >> Kathy. >> All in favor? >> Your voice. >> Uh, first item, approval of the minutes of September 18th. [Music] Um, on there. >> She's not here. >> She's online. Is anybody online? Robin online? >> She looks like she is. Not yet. It looks she is. Okay. Robin have a motion to approve the minutes. So John second Casey discussion. All in favor? I opposed. Everybody from the public. >> Mike, you're up. >> Well, that's Robin. >> Thanks, Rob. >> Mike, you're up. >> Hi, everyone. Um, as always, I'll go through the commentary. Just happy to answer any questions after I

finish up. Um, I just wanted to start off by speaking about the upcoming building turnover and how hard, you know, the team has been working every day of the week, Saturdays and Sundays and second shift uh to hit the dates that we had committed to you guys last time. Um, you know, today we received the the final sign off uh for the first occupancy approval uh from the fire marshal to allow students into uh the upcoming first areas as the gym lobby corridor, the gymnasium, uh the second floor academic spaces um for a 3-day improvement. Originally last month, we had told you it was going to happen around October 27th and then we actually expecting occupancy for next Friday. Um so it's a 4-day improvement and what that allows is uh the school will be

able to hold a a pep rally in their in their brand new gymnasium on Friday. Nice. >> Um the last turnover area um which includes the first four locker rooms and the auto shop is still tracking to the November 10th date. Um you know we feel the locker room can still be you know pulled back you know a week for improvement. Um but overall the auto shop itself is still tracking for uh November 10th um you know to function as you know an actual auto shop. Um, again, we've been working hard and round the clock and we're committed to delivering this job with the the highest quality and uh obviously the safety as well. Um, before I get further into the, you know, new addition and renovation area, I just wanted to touch upon last

Friday's home football game. Um, you know, a lot of coordination went into, you know, getting the inside and the outside ready for the event. Um, but super appreciative of of Dean and his staff for their help and the school administration, uh, and their flexibility, uh, in working with us. um up on the slide. Um >> can I say one thing you just like and then about the auto shop thing. We're still open to this idea of bringing students to our facility on South Main. So I know Brian Scott we talked a couple weeks ago I think he said he had run some things by you Sue or >> just as far as like logistics and things like that. So we are, you know, and even when it the auto shop is open like it's we're

>> it's an option that we're we're actively >> okay >> looking to engage with you and cook it work. So >> all right. Thank you. >> All right. >> Um as you can see on the slideshow here, we have turned the middle school cafeteria in the middle school gymnasium into a temporary locker room. Uh we procured and installed over 6,000 square ft of carpet and some plastic vapor barrier beneath it uh to protect cleats um you know protect the finishes from cleats and equipment. Uh in terms of public access, we have created a fenced in path using permanent concrete sidewalks and and temporary asphalt from the middle school parking lot. Um you know we also brought in light plant towers that illuminated some of the dark spots outside of the football field lighting. Um not

pictured here. We also ran an additional 1,200 ft of fence to create, you know, additional emergency egress points uh and to secure additional areas uh for a big turnout. Uh you know, being there, seeing a safe and successful event, you know, like the first home football game, um seeing the win as well is just very symbolic of all the hard work that went into pulling something off um pulling off an event like this and then just overall the project as a whole. So um switching gears just talk about progress uh turnover and you know the progress of the areas. Um you know we wanted to switch up the presentation this month and just take a closer look at the you know the health and state of the upcoming turnover areas. Uh in each slide you

know there's going to be a comparison to last month from midepptember uh to earlier this week just to show how much has changed in you know such a short amount of time. Um on screen here, this is the status of the area G restrooms, uh which were located in between the middle school and high school gymnasiums. Um you know, about a month ago, you can see the resin flooring was completed. Um toilet partitions were partially complete. Uh toilet fixtures were installed. You know, low voltage still need to be connected and energized. Um still waiting on the milwork countertops to finish off the sink installations, the faucet installations, and all the bathroom accessories. Um you know, fast forward to, you know, earlier this week. Um, in less than a month's time, you know, the partitions are

completed. You know, plumbing fixtures are also completed. All the low voltage has been energized for the faucets and then the flushometers at the toilets. Uh, registers, grills, diffusers, all installed. Um, and they're actually underway. Our final cleaning is also, uh, underway as well. Uh, as you exit those restrooms and you walk down the gymnasium lobby corridor, this is where we were at about a month ago, if you recall. Um, this lobby has all of the overhead supply and return duct work, hydronic, plumbing, piping, serving all the area H spaces. Uh, at the time of this picture, all those overhead systems were being completed, uh, which prevented all of the other finishes from occurring. Um, again, fast forward earlier this week, all of the overhead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection overhead has been completed. Uh, the

ceiling has been framed. You know, ceiling pads have been installed. Final painting is nearing completion. Uh, the flooring has also been completed. Uh final base is actively underway. You know, custom signage, display cases, all of it is nearing completion for the final cleaner to uh head down this hallway later this week into early next week before the turnover on Friday. Um another dark and gloomy picture here um taken from the auto shop side of the gymnasium lobby corridor. Um it's hard to tell, but the concession stand is on the left and the display cases are on the right side. Um, you know, same notion here from the progress picture taken this week. On the left, you can see the concession stand has been cladded with the fiber cement panels and that's complete. Flooring has been

run out and that's complete. Uh, final painting is nearing completion and uh, at the time of this photo was taken on the 13th. The ceiling pads were not done, but they have all been 100% installed as of today. Um, sort of noticing a common theme here. less than a month ago, we didn't have any lights installed on the first floor or none of them were energized or under any sort of control um throughout the first floor. Again, this picture was taken in in midseptember in one of the first floor locker rooms. Um you can sort of tell at the time, but the ceilings were framed. Uh the ceramic tiling uh was almost complete. Um you know, fast forward to less than a month's time, the resonance flooring has been completed. Ceilings have been sheetrocked, taped,

painted, lighting installed, energized, under control. Uh mill work, countertops have been installed. All the sinks and faucets, low voltage have been completed. Um in this picture, you see those little little box outs on the right side. That's where the toilets go. Those are actually installed as of today. Um in just a 3-day short span of time, all those toilets are in. Um and the toilet partitions are are well underway. Um and tracking well for the second turnover date of November 10th. and and hopefully earlier than that. Um, moving north, this was a progress picture taken in the athletic trainers room on the first floor um, next to the athletic director's office. Um, at the time the overhead MEP installations were ongoing. The walls were sheetrocked. You can see the window walls had received the first

p uh first coat of taping. Um, you know, comparing progress to earlier this week, the ceiling has been framed. It's been padded out. Casework has been completed. Doors and hardware have been installed. Flooring and vinyl base has been completed along with painting. Um, getting into the the gymnasium. This is one of my favorite comparisons. Um, you know, back in midseptember, we were just finishing the maple flooring installation in the gym. Um, you know, to get this gym to a point where pep rally is going to take place next Friday. We had to finish all of the gym sanding. um do all lines, the logos, the polyurethane clear coats, install the bleachers, uh air balance, the two air handler units up high, completing all the fin tube radiators that generate heat at the clear story windows

on both sides of the gym, installing all the wall pads, the scoreboard installation, final painting, and ultimately final cleaning later this week and early next week. Um, put a picture in here as well just showing the completed game lines. Um, the logos, the bad mitten, the volleyball pickle court pickle ball court lines. Um, and the clear polyurethane uh, coated finish before all the bleachers were installed. Um, looks pretty awesome with all the stain inside the keys, the NVL logos. Uh, it's pretty sharp. Um, fast forward to this week, obviously it's this whole space has done a 180. Uh the bleacher installations have been completed and final activities are also underway. Uh just for reference to everybody, the bleacher product showed up last Monday on the trade work 12 oh Tuesday. Oh man. And the trade

worked uh 12-hour days until last Saturday to uh to get it done from start to end. Um you know, the dedication and time that you know each of these trades, you know, been putting in to turn over these spaces again with high quality safety in mind. It's just very remarkable to see and and be a part of. Moving upstairs to the health. >> When they just say when the uh bleaches are closed, it shows ths in white lettuce. It's really nice. >> Nice. >> Um moving upstairs into the health classrooms. They were in decent shape as of last month. Um fast forward to this week. The window sills have been installed in the distance. Uh the ceiling has been padded out. Visual display surfaces like whiteboards have been installed. Uh your smartboards are now hung

up in the uh the two health classrooms and then the wait room um as of today and then the uh final cleaning up in this space was actually completed uh today as well and then furniture is actively being installed. Uh another space up here on the second floor is the weight room. Uh at the time of this picture, the rubber athletic flooring was being installed. The ceiling cuts were ongoing. There was no lighting, no mirrors, no final paint, no windows, no laminated safety glazing overlooking the gym. Um, you know, fast forward to this week, you know, all this has been completed. The mirrors, the safety glazing, ceilings have been padded out, final painting is nearing completion. The mirrors on the wall, uh, flooring is complete. Uh, whiteboards installed, smartboards, like I said, um, lighting installed

and energized and final cleaned. Uh switching gears to the outside. Um some developments have been made with the brick peers in the concrete flatwork at the entry to the athletic fields. Uh progress picture from this week shows the brick peers being completed. The granite caps are installed. A significant amount of concrete sidewalks have been placed in the distance on the back side of the bleachers. Um you can also see the uh tea formed in the middle of the brick peers that has been placed. Um, you know, permanently there are brick pavers and a herring bone pattern that kind of jive between the tea and the uh concrete that you see around the peers and then outside of that ring as well. Um, and then ultimately we had salvaged some of the older gates on the

older peers and those will eventually be installed on the peers as well. Uh, moving around the corner, this is at the north elevation of area H riding that route 8 corridor. Um the loading dock is actually right behind you in the point of view of this picture. Uh as you can tell last month the mason's setup was still located over on the left side. Uh there was no progress on the sitework aspects of the road or concrete sidewalks. Um fast forward to this week, we obviously took it when the uh you know was still raining this week. Um but drainage systems have been installed. Pre-cast curbing has been completed. Um sidewalks are almost complete around the building. Uh and the goal is to get this uh road paved on the second week of November and

hopefully try and pull it back on the first week of November as well. Um just to do a little comparison too of the athletic field complex. Um you know as you could tell if I go to the next slide here the 10th a little hard to tell but work has ramped up on the south multi-purpose field which includes the varsity baseball field. Um Liberty Landscaping is back on site. They're completing the perimeter drainage, you know, preparing for the anchor curb installations around the field. They poured a substantial amount of it um earlier this week. Um you'll actually notice I'm going to go back at the bottom of the page um where you see those cars. It's kind of hard to tell when I go to the next slide. There's a large retaining wall that has

been installed in, you know, just a week's um time. All that's left is just running the the top cap of that retaining wall and then connecting the little piece over at the end towards the uh the middle school parking lot. Um again, I'm going to go back and just kind of look in the distance. You see that black tar? That's your tennis courts. Um in the last month, we were actually able to uh apply the color surfacing product for that beige and the custom maroon and install all the uh the tennis court accessories. Um so those will be in good shape for the uh the starter plate. Um just to talk on you know items for cost impacts within the period. Um first being an increase solar we have plugged in for some premium labor

cost to expedite the work inside of the building related to the turnover of area H. Uh last month I mentioned a value of $35,000 and I increased that um for an additional $65,000 for a grand total of $100,000. At this point I don't have a full value um but conservatively plugging in a higher number. based on what I've seen come through to date. Um, you know, as mentioned last period, the outcome will be a draw from the CM contingency. Um, secondly, we noticed a scope gap related to the top of wall detail at the masonry walls. Uh, the top of wall assembly was should be sealed airtight for full height. Um, we did not pick up on this at the time of the bid. Um, 95% of the walls in the project are all jip

board. Uh the drywall contractor had owned, you know, stuffing and sealing the top of the wall to meet the acoustical rating of the wall assemblies. Um you know, we hadn't considered anything at the time um you know, for the top of the masonry walls. Area A on the first floor has, you know, over 100 ft of basement partitions. So there's a decent amount of work um that we had to do to stuff it, seal it. Um I plugged a placeholder in at 20,000 for a draw out of the CM contingency. Um again, switching gears to the schedule. Um we had talked about the building of the athletic fields. I showed some progress earlier on the screen uh for the anchor curve installations forming the perimeter of the south multi-urface field and the varsity baseball field.

Um we anticipate anticipate laying uh the synthetic uh turf at this field starting on November 10th. Um concrete sidewalks and fencing activities for this field will extend into December. Uh in regards to the varsity softball field field, our goal is to roll into this as soon as possible uh with the fence post and anchor curve installations once they move off of the last uh southfield. Um you know, one thing we've learned here is there are some weather constraints with installing turf in cold weather. Um the glue that they use to adhere the turf requires temperatures above 40°. Um but at the end of the day, you know, we're tracking well to to get the field ready for the start of softball. That's all I got. Oh, sorry. Do have a few more photos of the

site. Drone photos. We're doing that the north. Take it on 1010. Then on the south side here and then from the east. >> Jeff's got a question. >> Jeff, is the city still taking that monster pile of dirt? Is the city still taking dirt or we back in the position of having to relocate? Uh that's what we directly back to you guys. That pile of dirt is associated with the construction. A lot of that is going to go towards back filling the wall and stuff and then whatever is left over is an export which was already anticipated. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Any others? >> Okay, John. >> Uh good afternoon. We are now up to BL50 report number 127. We're tracking 38 items currently. Um, eight of the items are related to punch

list work. So, they're being carried on these punch list related to the high school and the middle school. And we have another uh nine items related to ongoing site work and 19 items related to in progress work in parts G, the gym and the adjacent spaces. So all those things are reviewed with OMG uh on a weekly basis and um as things come off the list more things go on so it's fairly dynamic. Uh slam issued fuel reports four and five over the last uh week um generally the items are items that are discussed with OMG in the field. There were some questions about conditions in stair six and seven which are going to get taken care of. Uh beyond that, we had no more special inspections other than um the materials testing. They did

some reinforcing inspections. You notice some additional sidewalks in the photos. Uh those reinforcing in those sidewalks was inspected and there were no deficiencies noted. Material testing uh mostly concrete at this point. In fact, it's entirely concrete at this point. All the site concrete for the sidewalks leading up to the athletic fields. Uh there have been there were seven tests done on those sidewalks and all of them came up to the the specified uh compressive strength actually exceeded the compressive strength after the 28 day tests. So there have been no concrete failures. Startup testing as you can imagine is going on the uh we had hydronic heating which is our hydronic fluids which is used for heating and cooling that was uh tested for pH connectivity glycol concentration and iron. Uh those passed all their tests

and they were all within their specified ranges and then the domestic water in the new part of the building was was disinfected. It was flushed. It was tested and it passed all its tests for chlorin and ecoli. Um indoor air quality tests inspections are still going on to make sure that there there aren't uh dust and debris and other contaminants migrating around the building. Everything is in order. Uh and then the last part of this was the construction uh waste management. There wasn't a formal report submitted for the last month, but there was a um a PCB report issued. It was the final PCB report for the old high school and that was submitted for review and it just summarized all the quantities of PCBs that were removed from the old school so that that

can get um closed out. And fun fact, we have we're up to 832 tons of waste uh disposed of. Uh 65.1% of that was recycled or went to recycling and 34.9% was sent to landfill. So uh that was the school that was removed and that is it. Thank you John. Next uh phase two application certificate of payment. You received it and you also received the the list I always give and I always break it down because we take it separately for the field. We always break it down to Liberty, Eagle Fence, and Field Turf, and uh Fuji. So, I have a motion to approve 2,736,13162. Donna second. [Music] Any discussion? All in favor? Opposed? Next, Mike, you're up again. >> Uh, PCOS's. Um, start off with PCO 564R1. It's an owner contingency cost of $4,191.

[Music] Uh, there was a funky detail at the north and east elevations of area H uh where the AVB uh from the parapit blocking was left exposed to view from the outside of the building if you were looking in. Uh you know we had reviewed it with slam and the owner and decided to clad the exposed areas with brake metal uh a white brake metal on timing material. Uh PCO 630 is another owner contingency cost of $1,43. Uh contractor had owned providing uh some new shock clocks um but the electrical power associated with them was not shown on the documents. Um so we had the electricians wire them on a time and material basis. Uh 631R1 is another owner contingency cost of $939. Uh there's a rooftop on the 1970s edition where the old concession

stand used to be. Uh this unit serves fresh air to most of the spaces in area H in part of area G spaces. Um power requirements differed from the unit that was submitted on compared to the drawings uh on the schedule. Um so small cost here is to procure and install uh the correct amperage breaker again on time and material. Uh 632 is a back charge between trades uh for some damage to a plastic laminate locker filler piece uh in the middle school staff workroom. Uh PCO 633 is an owner contingency cost of $13,280. Uh after the January occupancy, the school had noted a concern regarding some sun glare coming in from the southern side clear story windows uh in the middle school gymnasium. Um per request, we had priced up some window film at

the south side at the middle school in the high school gym. Um, and I actually had reviewed the site conditions uh earlier this week with the installer and uh he's preparing to be here next week to uh get the film installed uh before the school occupies the gyms or the high school gym. Um 634 is a CM cost of $4,10 here every month for some temporary toilets in the month of August. uh 635 owner contingency cost of $9,554. Uh this is an older cleanup change order. Um but this is for some premium labor uh related to the electrical HBAC and plumbing system installations regarding the uh PR 40 R5 change at the uh construction technology space downstairs. Um 636 is another back charge between trades for the painter to remove some tape that the uh

the abatement and demolition contractor had left uh over from earlier this year. Uh 637 is another back charge uh between trades for the painter to remove some overspray of the cementitious fireproofing um in the gymnasium that prevented some of the steel from being finished in the gymnasium. Uh 638 is an owner cost of $1,474. Uh part of this last phase was creating openings in existing walls to facilitate new window systems. Uh on the north elevation side, which is gate side, uh we had cut in the rough opening for the curtain wall uh in the back. And we were basically left with a half of an existing CMU block that was just left unsupported. Um so we had the mason um remove that unsupported piece of block. walls um together uh to the nearest mortar joint

and then we replaced it with new from the foundation up uh to meet the correct rough opening needed for the new window system. Um $639 um is an owner cost of $13,869. Uh in previous building committee meetings, you know, we had cost approved to increase the mix design to include an integral moisture vapor reduction ad mixture, salt inhibitor, uh additive to some future concrete placements surrounding the perimeter of the building, uh and eventually through the athletic field complex. Um you know basically due to the geographical nature of of where we are freeze thaw cycles um you know salt protection of surfaces uh you know the integral additive and increase in compressive strength that just aids to the longevity of exterior concrete um you know similar thought process here you know we placed tens of thousands

of square feet of concrete sidewalks without any sort of increased compressive strength or interval additive. Um, so this PCO here just reflects another mean to satisfy that issue by adding a a post-applied topical spray um known as a salt guard sealer uh to protect the existing concrete. Um, and we did actually complete that work on Saturday. >> Um, >> I have a question on that. How long does that last? [Music] >> The literature was like eight years. I think it was 5 to eight. >> 5 to eight years. Yeah. >> Roughly 5 to eight years. So every five years. >> So we need the board needs to plan to replace this protection. >> I mean what some experts say though is the older the concrete gets the less susceptible it is to be affected by

>> okay. >> What was the cost of that? >> Uh 13 13 grand. >> You guys did Saturday. >> Yeah. Yeah. complete. >> Yes. >> Y um 642 is a CM contingency cost of $9,567. Uh at the beginning of the project, some trade contractors are assigned with trade allowances as it relates to uh their bid package and scope and work. Uh at the end of the day, these allowances either get used or they get returned back to the project and reconciled via PCO. Um you know, we've we've closed a few of them so far. Uh but this one is for some additional wood blocking uh assigned to the roofer needed due to uh field coordination. Uh unfortunately this allowance was closed with an overage. Um so there's that cost and anytime we close an allowance

uh the balance always gets uh assessed to the CM contingency. Um 643 is a CM contingency cost of $75,619. Uh it's tough situation here a little bit. Um back but back when we were constructing the fivetory uh high school in area A and B um conventional teleahandler equipment like LOLs they couldn't reach up to what would be the fourth and fifth levels of the building. Um logistically it was just challenging having all of these hoisting activities impacting you know site work operations through the tight corridor on the back side of the building. Um, you know, we saw an opportunity to, you know, alleviate some of those logistical challenges, uh, and having the site work contractor, you know, rent this rotating tea handler capable, telescopic, I think it was called, um, you know, reaching heights that

we, you know, needed to load in lockers and lighting and case work, flooring, things like that, um, that we couldn't, you know, fit into the elevator cuz those were still being installed. um you know with the project labor agreement we had an operator you know full-time on board um operating um you know this piece of equipment um for the whole month of April of 2024 and halfway into the May um you know so the bill racked up for that at all um 644 is another back charge between trades for a dumpster dependent charge 645 is another temporary toilets cost for the month of September. Um 647 is a CM contingency cost of $6,746. Um you know, we saw a similar cost here when constructing the high school, but the HVAC contractor is contractually required to

maintain building conditions within a certain temperature and humidity uh when permanent HBA systems have not been installed or when they're not in operation. Um the electrician owns temporary power to facilitate construction activities. But you know in this case we had added additional 40 dehumidifiers and you know temporary cooling units that required direct hardwired 208 single or single phase I think it was. Um you know it's just beyond what was in his in his basement scope. Um so we had him wire everything all the cooling units additional circuits for the dehumidifiers. We weren't tripping circuits to continue charging batteries and and operating uh tools to get the job done. Uh 648 is an owner cost of $640. Um on the second floor of the 70s renovation, we were left with some pretty nasty transitions going from

um you know 60s building into the 70s building um keeping some TLC and ultimately um buying some metal thresholds to uh expand that gap which is reflected in this cost. 649 is another back charge between trades for um cost assessed to the plumber for removing and reinstalling some tiling and some ADA grab bars uh to rework some of the toilet clearances in the single use toilets uh along the auditorium ramp bathrooms single bathrooms 650 is a CM contingency cost of $8,021 uh in an effort to accommodate Eversource's schedule to pull the existing transform former and to facilitate some site work logistics. Um the existing electrical system was taken out of service earlier than we had anticipated. Um requiring a generator uh for the needs of continuing the baitment and demolition activities. Uh we had made

agreement with American Environmental said we'll pay for the rental cost of the generator and you will pay for the fee. So this is just the rental cost for the generator only. um 652 owner cost of $1,579. Um there was a bus between drawing sets which required an additional flat plate extension uh needing to be fabricated and installed uh to support the curtain wall window on the south side of the gym clear story window. Um the work was installed on time material 654 owner contingency cost of $2,174. Uh there was a conflict on the east side of the middle school building uh where an exterior light was directly above a security camera um that was mounted on the side of the building. Uh we reviewed the issue with slam and the direction we had received was

to offset the camera 2 feet either to the left or to the right. It was to the left um to clear the conflict. Um cost included is for the communications contractor to rework the piping which again was tracked on a time and material basis. Um 655 is a cost. Um you know back when we were constructing the gym and the wood floor the existing slab depression um was not acceptable for the approved wood flooring system that we had originally were going to go with. Um you know we reviewed it with slam and we reviewed it with the wood flooring installer and ultimately landed on a different anchored gym for system which the specified system was still anchored just anchored in a different way just epoxy. the anchors are epoxy to the concrete substrate versus just

hammering pins into the uh the substrate instead of mechanically fastened. Um we basically reduce the subfloor uh thickness of the gym the gym floor the same maple finish force thickness is the same um I think you you're the one who called the uh the manufacturer and they said the floor is actually a saving grace. It's a better floor than the specified floor that you know we were going to put in. So >> um luckily we hadn't procured any of the materials yet at that time. So, we were able to get a credit back on the specified floor and then just paid the delta of I think it was 60 an extra 60 cents a foot over, you know, 14,000. So, that was 8,000 for the new floor. And then upon discovery when we were doing

moisture testing, um there was no vapor barrier discovered underneath the existing tim. Um and by contract, we owned a a 6T or 6 mill poly. So again, we credited the 6 mil poly back and ended up going with a more premium uh vapor barrier as well. Um so basically paid for a new gym floor system and then vapor barrier beneath it. Um totaling $31,56. Um 656 is an owner cost of $2,675. This is for some permanent permanent room um room numbering signage revisions in the first floor locker room. You know, back in the day, we had added some more masonry uh walls to create locker rooms and uh it just created more rooms and additional signage changes. 657 is a CM cost of $5,619. Um we have six ADA showers located throughout area G and

H. uh to time of slab placement, we didn't accommodate for any of the slab depressions for the ADA basins as they needed to be flushed with the floor thickness in the ADA. Um so we sent the general trades contractor back through to saw cut chip down to the appropriate depth on a time and material basis. 658 is an owner cost of $23,654. Uh in the high school gymnasium there is a floor box with power and data communications on the home side of the court. Uh in discussions with the athletic department, Mario was involved. Um there were some reasons for moving this floor box to the visitor side of the court. Um we had already cut the specified location for the floor box and all ran all the conduit pathways. Um, so we had the demolition

contractor saw cut another trench, remove the concrete, and then we had the site work contractor prep the trench and then the contractor or the concrete contractor to the trench. >> So, is it on both sides right now or just one side? >> What side? >> It's on the visitor side now. >> And then you cut the saw cut. >> It wasn't installed. It wasn't installed. The condo, >> right? The condo was done. There was no cost. >> Everything else already done. >> So why did it have to go to the other side? >> That's where the scores table is. >> So the power had to be >> power. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Makes sense. >> Um next PCO is coincidentally for the uh concrete infill required uh for the the base bid location from the

home side. Um we hadn't assigned it at all at the time of bid. So we had to pay a contract the concrete contractor to uh fulfill that. Um 661 is a back charge um to NJ for OMG supervision um you know back when they were balancing air and water systems uh in the high school and the middle school uh in April and the new year. Last but not least, uh 662 owner contingency cost of $1,353. Um contract drawings called for certain existing columns uh throughout area H to receive intimacy proofing. Uh but accessibility to the entire column was impacted due to the existing, you know, CMU that remained around it around it. We couldn't access the backside of it. We had, you know, kind of CMU abuted into the web of the uh the steel.

Um so we had to come up with an engineering judgment with the fireproofing contractor and subsequently had to review it with slam and the local building department. Um basically alternate detail had introduced some additional cementitious spray fireproofing uh into the void uh adjacent to the columns inside the webs um that would end up being left exposed um you know needing the finished condition to be um smoothed out which is reflected in this cost and it was tracked on a time and material basis. Doug >> on um on 633 the window film for the gym. >> Yes. >> Was that something that was anticipated at the time that that maybe film would be needed? We'll just have to see what it looks like when it was built or was that a little bit of a surprise

>> with the glare? >> It was a surprise. It was never called for in our departments and when the high school had moved in and they were using the middle school gym, they were getting, you know, obscure glares during gym class and blinding blinding people. So, um, you know, we' work with Slam and Mario to find a product that nobody had liked and next week they're going to come and, uh, install it. >> Okay. No, I just didn't know if that was something that that you I don't know, computer models could have anticipated or now. >> There there was a solar study done, but uh, in practical use, it didn't apply. >> Right. Now, I got you. The sun moved. >> It does move it. It does the high school gym. We're going to move

them so when they play basketball the uh opponents >> the opponents are shooting into the sun. That's how it should have been. Right. Yes. >> Mike, I do have another question on that sealer. Did they say how many gallons it took to to do the area they did >> the salt cart? >> Yeah, >> we can build when we were there Friday two or three in the back of their truck. do have an overall takeoff or >> I'd like to get that number double check. I said it was a couple drums worth >> and the spec on that stuff you're using. >> I have a motion to approve the PCOS. >> Casey second. >> I'll second discussion. All in favor? >> I post I What I always give you is the analysis of payments up

to date. Everybody, all the contractors, uh, I had a listed analysis, progress payments. Uh, we submitted progress payments. They approved it on September 16th and we're still waiting for the check. So, just so you know, hopefully they'll be coming tomorrow or over the weekend. So, next, uh, payment of invoices. First two are for Maya. Uh one is for $916.30. Remember they're keeping our um the high school uh equipment and uh what we call it, >> correct? Is in their storage. So hopefully we'll get that in once they put uh on the 20th, Monday the 20th, contractor's coming in to put 19 uh steel shelves in the uh the high school gym storage area. So right after that, we'll get this stuff back in. And then we have a u $1,260 to Meyers. Uh they had

to unload both trucks and put them in storage. So the total for Meyer is $2,176.30. Have a motion to approve. >> Doug move. >> Second. Robin. >> Yep. >> Any discussion? All in favor? >> I opposed. Next one is uh uh Tri-State. They have three invoices totaling $10, $94.70. Have a motion to approve that. Arman second Casey. All in favor? >> I. Next one is um Whit Stone. Remember we uh we contracted to Whit Stone $4,000 to come in and make sure everything is uh copacetic on the on the field is uh this one is for $689.30. Have a motion to approve. Casey second. >> Second. Arman. Discussion. All in favor? I opposed. Next one is uh Interstate Interscape $1,800. They they were uh uh that was a charge. They were storing uh on phase

three uh uh furniture. Have a motion to approve $1,800. >> Arman on Kathy and Arman. >> All in favor? >> I. >> And the last one is insul. Uh, and they delivered those things today. >> Warming or the uh >> the art >> art items. >> Oh, so they weren't there? >> They weren't. They were there today and I saw them. They were delivered today. Got motion to approve $5,8340 to Silo >> Arman and Kathy. All in favor? >> I opposed. Thank you. The next one is the uh uh project budget uh that I give you the lists all of that and separates the turf project from the main. So you can see all of the uh POS that we do for the construction and the POS that we do for the services and also

the list of of uh incumbrances for the PCOS for next month. Uh, >> and and how are we tracking on the the 900,000 that we have to hold for the >> Yeah, it's on on the sheet and we have right now we have 766,000 but we're uh entertaining some money back on allowances. So, >> so we're paying it back. >> Yeah. Uh, next thing open house. Yes, we had talked about doing open house on sa uh Saturday the what would that be? >> 29th. Is everybody still good with that? >> Dean. >> Uh it's probably a weekend off usually for your guys, but we you know we owe it to the public to show in the building of course. >> So um >> November. >> Yeah. Saturday after Thanksgiving. >> Yeah. And uh I'm open

to suggestions on time. I'm thinking >> 10 10 to three or something like that. 10 to >> one two 10 to two >> 10 to 10 to two. >> 10 to two. >> Yes. >> Shoot and match. >> Yeah. >> And we'll have to we'll have to get some people to volunteer. maybe students to volunteer, National Honor Society or whomever. Uh, and whether we got to work it out whether we just have a a tour that starts every 15 minutes or something or, you know, in the old building we just let them walk through the hallways. I don't think we want to do that here. So, >> nobody knows where they're going for. >> Yeah. No, I think we need I agree with you. I think we need to have tours set up whatever like

>> Yeah. >> every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, whatever. >> Right. >> Yeah. like >> um so those are details that we'll need to work out. >> We're not going to have any refreshments because >> there could be thousands of people coming. We don't know. So we'll just have an open house. >> Uh >> yep. Could be could be 10 people, could be >> a thousand. I have no clue. >> Um it's a busy weekend, but we >> it's also weekend that people are home. >> The kids are home from school. >> Yeah. >> So So everybody good with that? I don't know that we need a motion. We'll just uh we just we'll agree to that and we'll sit down with you. >> Yeah, we'll need to work through you guys and Dean and >>

how will that be publicized? >> That's a good thing. We we we really do need to start publishing it uh soon, sooner than later. Um certainly Rachel could take care of it on all social media and we'll get the newspaper to do a little something. >> Okay. >> Uh maybe Gaffne. >> Yeah, Gaffne could do something on his radio station. something going on. Oh, there's a football home game, right? That week uh Thursday. >> Thursday, right? >> Friday there's an alumni soccer game and uh I know there's a class reunion or two as well on that Friday. >> Okay. >> So, I I think it'll tie in nicely with uh with all that stuff going on. >> Okay. >> Before we go into executive session, just the next meeting is Thursday, November 20th, but that's

parent conferences. >> Yeah, it is. So, we may want to find out and maybe switch it to the weekend. The next week before Thanksgiving. >> How about the the week before? >> The week after would be Thanksgiving. >> Yeah, the week after Thanksgiving Thanksgiving. Why not? >> No, no, we're talking about the week of Thanksgiving. That Monday, maybe >> that's the last day. >> No, that Yeah, conferences are still >> still on that day. >> How about the 13th? Are we moving to the 13th? Monday. >> The 13th, >> which is the Thursday before >> Yeah. >> the 20th. I don't know if I have all the documentation if I can make that >> because you're off on Tuesday. >> No, we're not. >> You're not off on Tuesday. >> No, that's all. >> Oh,

okay. You want What about that? Tuesday. >> Well, that's even earlier. Do you want You don't care. You publish the 11th. >> No, no, no.
