001MSAN is a conference that offers many opportunities. So what is MSAN and why should you go? >> MSAN stands for multicultural student achievement network. It's a conference that brings together students from all around the country to discuss and plan and form an action plan to solve a problem centered around central theme. >> MSN is a gathering of multi multicultural students and it brings us together. We are all in leadership positions and we're here to discuss how we can improve our school's uh diversity, equity, and inclusion. >> I would describe it as a program that empowers kids of color to embrace their melanin and to embrace their cultures. Something that like really helped me like want to be here is like the opportunity I get to be able to help my community. I was offered by my guidance counselor and I wasn't really sure at first, but I thought it would be a nice opportunity for me to connect and find other people that have the same passion as me, same that have the same outlook and vision that I do. So, I thought it would just be a great opportunity and a way to network with other people. When it was explained to me, it felt like I would got the chance to help solve a problem that was important to me and my community. MSAN brings students together to provide leadership skills, networking opportunities, a place to feel comfortable with their cultures, and an opportunity to change their communities for the better.
