And if I could please have my Westcott tech teachers who are here tonight, could you come up to the front while we talk about you? Come up right here. We're going to get you some certificates, but we're going to brag on you for a second first, okay? So, this year the Westcott fifth graders had the opportunity to review job descriptions and apply for various positions that interest them. Had to fill out a job application, huh? I like it. Every student who applied was hired. And through their roles, they have been developing real-world skills, building confidence, and learning the importance of being dependable, collaborative, and community-minded. Now, I'm going to turn it over to um our school administrators, but I do want everybody here to know that this is a sampling of our fifth-grade helpers, and
then I will also be going to Westcott to honor the whole group cuz there are close to 90 kids who have jobs. And so, we had to have a few represent them. So, without further ado, Yes, I want to talk a little bit about the tech teachers. Tonight, we'd like to start by acknowledging our tech teachers. They are overseen by our tech coordinator, Ms. Davis. Tech teachers, you have taken on important leadership roles supporting our younger students as they learn and grow with technology. Whether you are helping with DC DCL lessons, assisting with class projects, guiding students step by step, you show patience, responsibility, and a true willingness to help others. You give up your own time to step into classrooms and make a difference not just by telling but by teaching and supporting in
a positive way. Your strong listening skills, tech knowledge, and encouraging attitude help build confidence in our younger learners. So, thank you so much for representing our tech teachers tonight. Woohoo! Now, this is your first time being recognized at a board meeting? Yeah. Okay, so this is going to be the really, really, really important part here tonight. I'm going to have our board president give you your certificate and you got to give them a hug. Deal? Okay. And my year first. Go ahead. Congratulations. Let's do that. All right, come on in here now. Your parents are here and they have to get a picture to commemorate this. Mrs. Peterson's going to say some wonderful things about you. Yeah. Exactly. All right, next we have our office helpers who work closely with our administrative assistant, Mrs. Coletta.
Office helpers, you play a key role in helping our school run smoothly each and every day. From organizing important materials to supporting the lost and found, and keeping your our office spaces in order, you handle the your responsibilities with care and independence. You've been especially helpful using your creativity to design and update bulletin boards that align with our monthly themes, each one more creative than the next and a a way to support our Wavey behaviors. Um by kids and for kids. Your friendliness, attention to detail, and ability to stay on task truly make a difference. Thank you for representing our office helpers this You got to walk over. You have to give a big handshake to President Reedy. Right over here. This guy right over here. And this is Jennifer. Congratulations. Give that same big
strong handshake right here. And then we're going to look out and smile at Mom and Dad and all the parents. Our custodial crew, come on up. All right. Custodial crew, find our our find job to acknowledge this year from Waxdale school. Um our custodial crew is overseen by Mrs. Webb. And you have taken on a very important behind-the-scenes role helping to keep our school clean, organized, and ready for whatever comes next. You've been especially helpful this year with setting up and taking down spaces for assemblies and events, making sure everything is returned to its proper place so learning can continue smoothly. Your hard work helps our custodian, Mr. Lucio, free up his time so that he can focus on other important tasks. And your attention to detail ensures that our shared spaces are always welcoming
for everyone. You are responsible, respectful, and always ready to pitch in when you're needed. Thank you so much for representing our custodial crew this evening. >> We ready? Ready?
