001Well, this is quite [laughter] the crowd tonight. So exciting. So we are going to come around and President Risky, myself, and then Mr. Campagna and Mr. Bracky. We are here to celebrate um student leadership and opportunities for students to be involved and leaders within the school. And so without further ado, come on up and we we're trying to get better at this every month. So kids, bear with us as adults. Um when you we're going to give you your certificate, be sure to shake the board president's hand and then stay up here for a photo op. All right? So we'll do it by group, by student helper group, and we'll go from there. We're starting with preschool pals. So if you are a preschool pal kids, if you're a preschool pal, I want you to

I was like, I know there's more. All right, I have a few words to say about our preschool pals and their role because this is a new job here at Willowbrook. So our preschool pals connect our fifth grade students with our youngest wildcats. Help to provide a friendly face and authentic connection in the building. The preschool pals help to support arrival dismissal, classroom functioning, and help students learn the routines at Willowbrook. In talking with our incredible >> [laughter] >> pre-K teacher, Michelle Cummings, she characterized these students as self-driven, engaged, and integral to supporting play schemes and socialization for our three and

003four year olds. These students have demonstrated consistent consistent curiosity and commitment to learning about students' special interests and differentiated supports. And I do want to note at our recent third and fourth grade musical performance during the school day, our preschool pals independently sought out our preschool students and sat with them throughout the performance. Just a testament to the connection that they formed. Let's give it up for our preschool pals. >> [applause] >> Bryn Busack. A week. I'll just connect I jumped ahead, sorry. Zoe Ahn. 004students to serve as leaders and role models for younger students throughout the school day. Whether greeting students in the hallway, offering encouragement, or building connections across grade levels, these mentors help to create a welcoming and inclusive environment here at Willowbrook. Their connection is integral within the building and far extends beyond the opportunities that they have within their scheduled classroom. You can be caught caught walking down any of our hallways across the day and see the authentic connection that exists between students, be it through a simple hello as classes pass each other, or an opportunity to share a highlight or success from the day. To our peer mentors, thank you for modeling patience, leadership, and serving as role models to help cultivate and maintain our positive environment here at Willowbrook. >> [applause] >> Oliver Chazin. >>

They also plan school-wide spirit days, are currently gathering feedback to support our upcoming food drive for the Northfield food Township food pantry. Along with all of our fifth grade students, they have strengthened student voice, connection, and presence within our school. Through these

006leadership roles, our fifth graders model what it truly means to be a Willowbrook wildcat, showing initiative, supporting others, and positively contributing to our school community.
