privileged president educations Laura here Mason here Jackson Chavez here O'Connell salsa yeah okay any public space we know not for the disabilities meeting okay thank you any hope it is on the new business hello so we have a full agenda tonight we have our teammates from one and my pink gold and gilbane I must have been Sledge um to update us on the change orders big project update and uh we had a bid opening that will be on the agenda so Jeremy you want to go first sure all right good evening everyone um I do have a drone video for you this week um if Laura did you want me to share that tonight okay so it's a little longer um it is primarily interior so I'll let Joe play that and then I will

um I'll get back update thank you [Music] very much [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] development uh group know that you guys like this and that that's something we wanted to do at the end here um this will be a video we can turn over to you guys you guys put on your website um do whatever so and we have some more stuff to come with that but um just kind of a nice turnover piece a lot of you got to see the see the building for the ribbon cutting uh which was an outstanding event for everybody that was there very well attended um I think uh all of us sitting here were very proud to be a part of that uh event so yeah it's been a

good song all right it was amazing bottles and other schools and it was really great to see that this is awesome but it's great to see that yes great job thank you all right so since most of you got to see the building at the open house I'll keep my uh update fairly short I just want to update you on where we're where we're going in the next couple weeks here as you guys prepare to move in and take full out competency we are still working our way through our final inspections uh so we've had a round of State plumbing inspections we've had uh General Building life safety inspection um there are some to-do items on all of those we're working through those as uh as we go through the the next couple of weeks

uh we still have kitchen inspection um we have final electrical inspection final mechanical uh fire alarm inspection and uh most importantly uh elevator inspection so elevator is Thursday uh we're trying to set up uh final fire alarm pass uh for Thursday as well to kind of uh piggyback off of that so um the elevator is probably the hardest one to schedule uh overall so we do have that scheduled for Thursday at 11 30. that's about on the docket for a couple weeks so we're waiting for available to do so um I feel good about where we're at we do have our work cut out for us still we're uh we've still got guys going through the building doing punch lists um overall the punch list was not too bad uh the wool team has completed

their punch list inspections uh for everything except for the kitchen equipment and the low voltage work the data work so uh don't expect too much out of that but other than that all the paint the you know things and doors flooring items are all documented um we're working uh expeditiously to try and get through that as much of it as we can before the students are in there on January 4th sewing that's really the big thing on the outside um the metal panels as you saw finished up for the front entrance for the grand opening and we're making very good progress on the West Side uh both car rider entrances are nearing completion we've probably got another couple of days on on those and they'll be done as well and then we'll move up to

the roof and finish the uh the penthouses the stuff that's uh off the ground not quite as physical there's a fair amount of work probably a month's worth of work to do up there yet so we have a plan in place to access that work uh without being disruptive to school uh there'll be no uh no access through the school uh to complete Network so keep plugging away as long as weather weather allows obviously with these really cold days coming up work on the outside is going to be pretty tough so um in the snow but we'll get through it and get it done what would you say with your Advanced percentage yeah as far as impact change orders to contingency so I said MacArthur's pretty minimal at this point um I mean we're moving

you know through the punch list there's a couple little things that are coming up here and there as we're you know kind of doing the final touches with the security contractor and and the audio visual contractor some odds and ends here here and there but nothing major um I think what's that no Major Impact I know we're pretty excited yeah yeah we do have and I should I can talk about this a little bit we do have uh one change order that's going to come to you next month uh for based on the state plumbing inspection so um there were several sinks in classrooms where we we didn't have thermostatic mixing valves which would allow the temperature of the water to go over 120 degrees based on how he wanted the water temperature set at

the water heater so we are in the process of adding those actually I think they completed those today and then um also uh rpz valves and I can't accept can't remember exactly what RPC stands for but basically prevents chemicals that are hooked to things like your dish machine your mop your mob sinks um from circulating back into the water system within the building so now that we understand what uh chemicals are being used in the kitchen uh equipped to the dishwasher the triple compartment sinks uh the mop sinks and generous closets uh we're going back in and putting those devices in place as well to get past the state department inspection so we're working on that right now so we're tracking that all tnm trying to make it as um feasible as as we can

those devices are pretty expensive um so I'm thinking that's probably about a twenty thousand dollar hit but that's the biggest one that I can see right now in addition yeah so that's I mean sizable more than we want to talk about right but um it'll be set up right Landscaping is pretty much done I mean we'll have we'll you know we'll we'll be moving into the demolition phase on the olds building so abatements scheduled to start right around January 18th um projection on that is somewhere between two and four weeks um and then uh we'll go right into demolition starting in mid February let's say uh we'll start tearing the building down and then build the parking lot and get all the Landscaping finished up by and the June so come next school year it'll

be full the whole site will be done we'll be out of here so the playground will be installed after the Demolition and when we're working on the Green Space right now yeah do the walk through on a stage maybe we can look at that and see if you put the safety because specifically these days um he wasn't concerned any other questions on progress here where we're going no questions all right so I do have four change orders for you tonight um related to society before I turn it on the floor over Ricardo for uh right on the North later um the first change order is based on PR 56 and as you might have noticed in the science classrooms the stem classrooms we have large Court reels that hang from the ceiling for uh Outlets

the the chords on those are about 20 20 feet long and so one thing that was just overlooked on those is The Cordial themselves is over six feet away from a sink so it does not require GFCI protection however if you stretch that cord out all the way out you can get to a sink so the electrical inspection or electrical code requires that to be a GFC on it to protected so there are 50 some quarter rails in the building uh we have a plan and we have the parts uh in hand uh to change all of those the GFC activities um so that they are in compliance with the electrical code and also uh save if somebody did pull those all the way over to the sink um so here the cost is to

change all those Outlets ghci protected from the cost is 5 531 dollars the second change order is change order 122 and it incorporates uh part one of PR 57 so 100 of this in two parts uh we did this uh we split this up because the the pricing came in at different times and to get ready for the opening uh we needed to move quickly so uh part one is uh the stage uh that you stood on for the ribbon cutting you notice it had the same uh lvt the luxury vinyl tile flooring uh that the rest of the cafeteria had initially the bid specs had a more of a plywood floor a Masonite floor that's typical on a stage where you may build sets and actually have performances um it's a what do I

say um it's a layer that's meant to get damaged you can nail through it screw through it right and then if you pull it off and replace it so a lot of times on a performance stage you see paint it black as we got looking at that cafeteria space that really wasn't the right application for a couple reasons hey it wasn't going to be as aesthetically pleasing as the luxury violent tile but b um that is something that the principles look at as overflow space potentially for lunch and so with the floor that's on it now they can put tables and chairs up there if they need additional space it's a very clean easy to clean floor durable floor uh nothing into that so we made the change to put the luxury vinyl tile on

that uh in lieu of the woods so there was a credit for the wood uh and the luxury vinyl tile wasn't pad so the total cost here is 12 143 dollars uh the second part of that PR 57 then is for uh the metal facial panels on the exterior building so there's two canopies on the front of the building on the east side and two canopies on the west side the base of band is that band that's about two two and a half feet tall that you see on the on the front Leading Edge of that those were were called out to be just a flat um like a thin metal sheet product uh the concern there was that with the sun and the hot and cold that metal is going to expand and contract

and it gets what we call call it oil can it'll get all wavy looking wrinkles so this was actually something we had talked about way back when the Scopes the bids came in and it just kind of fell off our radar to be honest with you and so as we went to go back around installing those it came back up in discussion we change them to be metal panels to match what's on the building so it is a rigid system that will not wrinkle and work in in the sunlight so on we made that change those are about 50 installed right now um and the total cost service twenty three thousand seventy dollars so that's a product that will hold up a lot a lot longer um it is a uh a very noticeable thing

when you when you drive up to a building that has that problem so we wanted to make sure it was done right and the last one I have for you is change order 127 and this is uh regarding the porcelain tile so as you walk throughout the building you saw this the gray three foot high winds cold Wayne's coat tile um used to protect the walls in most of the public spaces corridors learning common areas there were some areas particularly on the second floor the balcony the wall away from the balcony was coated three feet up with the wavesco tile the wall looking down over the balcony did not have it on and we felt it was best to protect that wall because people are going to go up to that edge look over the

edge shoe marks you know Keys whatever is going to scratch the wall it's just continuous painting so we felt it was best to add in there and we also had a few other areas as we went through kind of saw how it was all coming together that we needed to add tile for the longevity of the building so um we did that all all in full swing we had the tile uh and we were able to get it done so uh the total ad here is thirteen thousand one hundred fifty eight dollars that's uh a little over two thousand square feet in tile we added like once any questions on those that's uh that's everything MacArthur right now finishing upon is 75 percent yes Joe can you flip to the Excel can't remember if it's

three or four in this reporter there you go yeah so we're at we're at just a little over 75 percent um left in the contingency uh there's uh once there's one estimated change order for size seven departures 30 000 with what I have in there um this is something I've just kind of put on the back burner for right now because it's not it's not something we have to address until phase two so we've just been cramming to get through and get this building finished first um but we will go back on that we have a solid approach to how to go to that this one could become a no cost altogether um but uh we do have a an option that should be a lesser cost than the rest there um and then there's

one large uh estimated change order for right at Northlake which uh we're working through is and um actively working on to better in Christ so but overall we're in really good shape so we really appreciate your controlling that in mind yep that's very important thank you all right yes I just wanted to thank uh well and specifically Monica she has taken a great time to walk through the buildings and the classrooms with myself and Dr myzania um with our teachers she's taking care to walk she did bring her special development sessions with all of our Sunnyside teachers and walk through all of the reasons why all the choices of every Furniture piece was selected how the classroom was set up she um last week walked through with Kara and I set up classrooms so that

our teachers helped lessen their anxiety number one but also to help them understand why the decisions were made and how would it not benefit their instruction and the learning common space today also Maria Hendricks and the instructional coach from Riley came over and was present during some of those sessions and then we also put together she put together a cheat sheet kind of about all the different parts and spaces for instructional use and different um drawings for how the rooms could be set up to support learning so I just wanted to thank her probably for her time and dedication to that project it made a huge difference for our staff so thank you so much any other questions thank you thank you thank you good evening everyone this afternoon um so we'll start off with

the video for Riley North Lake here [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] so starting off with the outside um glass is amazing um it's a good spot for a gel right there so all those store for an opening of all those openings um have been covered up with class now um basically everywhere north of the large two large openings in the multi-purpose space have all been covered with glass we're actually heating that entire space right now um that has allowed us to do drywall which talk about here a little bit further uh or a bit here basically if you go over to about one Tundra those large a little before that just a couple seconds those large openings are occurring that well we're about to pull out of here um this video was taken on

Thursday as of right now um the screening problem these large openings are just about we're missing a few parts parts here um but very shortly we should start being able to be sealants on there and then go ahead and start blazing this all up and hopefully within the next couple weeks we can basically essentially close up the entire ability elements here protect everything inside there so um that's our next large milestone in calculating this entire building and making sure that we're our weather entire year so um but for the most part in terms of weather type rough is basically just about complete there are so few details um break or not very metal coping that will need to be installed um so in the next couple weeks we should start seeing propane going on in

all these areas I have brick here shopping in addition to that not necessarily with uh building enclosure but just finishing up the building we have metal panels uh that actually arrived on Friday of last week and they started installation uh today actually so we have a couple metal panels already installed we'll continue to go through that along the entire building here so all metal panels are underway so moving on to the interior as I mentioned uh the entire north of that multi-purpose area just along that Corridor um everything north of that is fully enclosed that has allowed us to begin all of our drywall uh specifically we started in the admin area uh over at Riley so try one of the admin area and the cafeteria are is well underway admin area that makes we

all drywall then everything's good to go all the finishing should be complete probably by end of day tomorrow uh cafeteria is just about there I believe maybe end up day tomorrow we should be able to start at five putting the mud on the wall stage Southern um great progression uh throughout the rest of the edition of framing is about 95 complete uh so all these walls already in place really start to get a feel for the space here um with that all these walls being in place all of the mechanical and plumbing uh roughing those two trade they're basically completely inspected um essentially ready to go throughout the majority of addition Electrical uh at least a little bit um behind that so we are still working throughout here more often we'll continue to progress along

with that uh with the next two weeks or something see what else do we have out here uh within the kitchen of the addition uh we have just actually installed the kitchen hoods above the kitchen line and the dishwasher so that was actually just done on Friday um for next month I'll make sure that I have a picture on it for you all as well take a look at that uh we are also installing door frames as we drywall so trying to make sure that we're keeping all of our door frames a little bit of how to we're going to be driving like so that allows all that to continue smoothly within the gymnasium with the heat being in place uh we have also began painting um so I will continue with control we'll start

at the gym and finish the gym and move on to the admin areas and then we'll follow South Africa I'll probably drive off the machine so I believe that's everything that I have on the progress of the addition and questions are we on target or are we behind no so right now we are still targeting the for the interior spaces of the Edition end of March and then we'll finish out everything we've streamed for the pavement uh and all uh certificate of occupancy no delayed supplies right as of right now so another open house we're taking some time in August I'm looking forward all right so no question no questions so I only have four teams orders why not they're in our page there the first change order they have here is District change order

uh 125 is in it relates to Old issue pr36 uh this is a not to exceed number um we have some framing drywall that was added over in the serving area at the Edition um that is the largest chunk of this chamber this universe apparently sitting at twenty six thousand sixty four dollars uh in addition to that we have some relocation of electrical modifications of the coil doors and there was some added fire extinguishes the cabinets that we needed to go in um so as of right now you feel that the framing drywall number is a little bit higher than after we have this here than an absolute seed um we are working with our Carpenter to see what we can do to bring that in with that so as right now again 26.64. next

item that we have on here the district change order 126. uh the largest chunk of this is about seven thousand dollars all in all this number came out at 10 898 uh that's seven thousand dollars that was previously mentioning is in regards to Steel some supplemental steel that we needed for Brick supports uh as well as um able to close in a small section of pro so that is uh the largest chunk out of this there was also a little bit from our plumber to relocate some of the distance start lines um they were just encountered with some of the new sockets that were working struggling so there um next we have District change order 127 uh this is a not to exceed uh within the construction of the addition we created a loading dock

right up against the uh North Lake South north wall of the North Lake we created a loading back there uh exposed that entire face and we did that all of that foundation wall um was covered in waterproofing since it was all very beforehand um so with that you're getting a brand new loading back a brand new edition so we figured it would be a worthwhile expense to want to protect the foundation a little bit I want to provide a little bit more aesthetically using luck here so we worked with world uh to plan a thin brick system that would be directly out here out to that Foundation model um with that again not to exceed with working out there Mason uh he was just out there uh late last week to get some final numbers

um so we're hoping to bring down this number which is currently listed at 27 990. and lastly uh we have another not to exceed number uh this is at Riley uh there was a or there currently it is the gas line that is in conflict with new electrical panels um so we are essentially providing so four pipefitters for one day plus the material to relocate that existing gas line to allow for these electrical panels to go in one as designed and basically that Riley boiler was jam-packed which really normally the best so as of right now uh we need not to exceed number for this is ten thousand dollars so I have any questions questions brother good job thank you thank you and we have um just when we have the bid award recommendations this

is for the renovation work and health by safety upgrades at Jefferson primary and Whittier primary schools yeah so I'll keep my update short and sweet we had a bid opening on December 6th for the media center Renovations and the health Life Safety Renovations at Jefferson and Whittier school we had a really good bid day we ended up having three bidders come out so it gave us a really good picture of what um what the bid Market looks like and that we had a competitive bid numbers come in at one million four hundred ninety seven thousand dollars which was under budget um so really really great news for both of those schools uh and it allows um for everything that we had planned for so this is the remainder of um just the architectural work for

the mechanical work that was implemented and that's really just two concrete pads um is all that was left there and then the renovations at the media center that will accompany the furniture was already purchased so um happy to answer any questions but really excited about the good day so so we had budgeted 1.99 no no so that is ordered um based on I think it was ordered in the last month's uh for or it was approved in last month's board agenda so it'll be on site in the summer yeah we'll be having work happening at the Jefferson and Whittier and Northland and The Sunny Side of the Cardinals but we're still going to find a way to do summer school pretty busy summer no bunch of restaurants and then are there any questions about the

bid award any questions so the more we will ask you to award that bid at the regular meeting thank you thanks what you're going to stay for right yes there are no other questions then that would be the inclusion of the facility facilities committee we have no question we want the board um thank you we really appreciate it so they have no questions got any motion to Mason and Miss o'clock they will call please Laura listen um Jackson all right Chavez hi volcano aye salsa hi hi Tower okay once again you guys can stay if you wanted to regular board meeting come on well happy happy holidays foreign on the 2022 tax Lobby primarily uh for background in the 2022 Levy um is calculated based on the 2021 equalized assessed valuation which the 21 dropped

from dropped to 528 million dollars of eav uh it is also calculated on anticipated new property growth of about 1 million dollars and using the December 2021 CPI of seven percent which the tax Cap Caps that at five percent um there's an increase we estimate an increase of three percent based on the North Triad triennial reassessment we have not received any indications from Cook County assessor's office like we did two years ago about the reassessment so there are a lot of unknowns we did ask for an overall increase of 6.31 Which is higher than the 5 prescribed by law doing this preserves the Financial operations in case estimated amounts in the levy are different than those used in estimation so we won't know what the county is going to use for their eav because the

assessor does not have that information to us yet for 2022 DAV we don't know what the actual new property will be so all of these unknowns and because CPI was so high it's kept at five percent wanted to make sure that we do not leave any funds that would support the academics of the district or support the district in all of the different funds that we love informed so thank you does the board have any questions um you mentioned billion dollar increase because so that would be New Growth so if there was a property that um like new construction or something that you know was a vacant lot they build on it and it's the first time hitting the tax rolls we don't have any tips normally you get new property when the tip comes

back on the on the tax rolls that's considered a new property but we're not aware of anything but we're using an estimate we don't really have the ability to get that information from the county I do reach out to the municipalities to find out if there is any new construction within our boundaries um so the million you're protecting is revenue based on no it's Cav ity the millions EAB yeah okay well I success value that's not the revenue it's not a revenue it's the Avatar the revenue portion right the equalized assessed value is what the calculations are based on um I just I wasn't clear if you were saying million revenue or a million people I'm sorry okay no that's fine all right any other questions okay then we can impose the the hearing okay

so Carl and Mr chairs roll call please Mason Park Jackson Chavez O'Connell Sosa motion carry okay and the next agenda item is to award the bid for the Jefferson Woodyear Renovations and health Life Safety upgrades project the suggested motion is that the Board of Education accept the Jefferson Whittier primary schools Renovations and health Life Safety upgrades project bid from baller construction company for their base bid in the amount of 1 million four hundred ninety seven thousand against presenting in motion roll call please Jackson all right Chavez O'Connell like Sosa hi Tower hi Laura hi Mason all right motion carry and then tonight we have Joe light cap with us from Baker Tilly uh to provide an update uh presentation on the audit of um June 30 I think June 30 2022. great news I hope

so I hope so well thank you for having me tonight um I'll be going briefly over the results of the the financial audit and a couple of the deliverables of course if you have any questions throughout the presentation feel free to stop me at any at any point if there's anything that I don't go over that you have question on or anything that I do present um first off I'd like to thank Laura and her team it's definitely good to see Irene back there I haven't seen her in a couple years so it was good to catch up before the meeting we asked a lot of questions we ask for a lot of information in the business office we have a good relationship a great relationship and and the information you know flows back and

forth and it you know it allows us to complete the audit in a timely manner so I'd like to thank them publicly before I get started thank you on the next slide a little bit about uh just my agenda for tonight I'm gonna talk a little bit about the engagement team the deliverables we'll go in a little bit information on the other financial statements and Reporting an insights letter and you know it says open discussion at the bottom but as I said feel free to stop we didn't the engagement team on the next page I think this is really important nope doesn't show up I'll have to work on the collaboration I guess um see this is important for your engagement team for you to know um contact information it has my email it has

my phone number um it also the senior manager Anna who I believe you met before as well as ours as well as our senior accountant Brooke perform the majority of the detail testing this year we ultimately work for the board if you ever have any questions any concerns anything you'd like to point out at any point during the year not just the couple of times I see you every year feel free to reach out to us we'd be happy to talk through anything you would like to so the fiscal year 22 audit procedures were completed I mean our reports were issued on December 12th a little bit about the deliverables the annual comprehensive financial report the annual financial report to isby the reporting insights letter there's agreed upon procedures for your self-insurance and report on

federal Awards also called The Single audit and the Consolidated your own financial report which is still in process but we got a little bit a time to complete that we'll be working um we'll be working expeditiously to get that if that completed as well um everything was was turned in on on the appropriate deadlines as for the single audit it won't really be going over it except that um there were no findings this year uh the major programs were Esser and title one so there's no findings that's good um on that report the non-audited services I did the slide before it doesn't really show up well either um but along with performing the audit we also helped the district through a variety of services um related to the preparation of financial statements helping out with

some adjusting and conversion journal entries to create the financial statements we helped prepare the financial report to isbi as well as the schedule of expense Federal Awards and the related data collection form this is important to note that while we help the district with those reports and those Services the um the board and management ultimately takes responsibility and improves those reports and has it and we will work hand in hand to make sure that that those that information is is from Management's perspective I'll go into the audited financial statements you can move to the next slide a little bit about the financial highlights we once again issued a clean or unmodified opinion on the district's financial information it's the highest level of assurance you can get from your outside Auditors and states that the information

within is reasonable in all material respects and can be reasonably relied upon by an outside user the financial statements as mentioned the district does issue an annual comprehensive financial report this is a more extensive report than is required under accounting standards it probably it provides the reader with some good information in the transmittal letter A little history about the district and some of the policies it also includes statistical information in the back so you can see 10-year Trend information how the the district's finances have gone over the last 10 years so you can see where the bond issuances go and in that position related to that and it just gives a good historical perspective of what the districts have been in the story I always like to point out on page five Management's discussion and

Analysis this is really the story behind the numbers this is Management's perspective on on the financial results in with a comparison to the prior year so you get a little bit information about this year and last year and really what happened Pages 17 and 18 this is the um the one place that you'll see on an annual basis with all of the funds of the districts uh in one column in all of the activities Capital assets long-term debt all of those those activities in one place and for the year ended June 30 2022 net position increased by about 13.2 million dollars a large part of that is the the spending of resources on Capital assets so when you when you spend your resources on Capital assets that makes you in that position go up if

you spend time on debt like you did this year as well that helps you're in that position go up so we'll see we'll see a short-term perspective in a little bit but this is really your long-term perspective so when you're spending your resources on on those things that really help out these long-term assets and reduce long-term debt that'll help in that position growth uh on the following slide I'm not sure how well it's going to show up you can see it but I'll read off some of the numbers um overall um so this is a short-term perspective of revenues of expenditures when I talked about before with capital assets and long-term debt this this only has how you spent on Capital assets uh and long-term debts so you can see uh well if you can

see uh the in the capital projects fund the fund balance decreased by about 37 million dollars this is because the district spent down prior year bond proceeds on all the construction projects you did this year so that um was the primary driver of overall fund balance decreasing by about 29.9 million dollars the other funds the operating funds mainly what's on the the left Page general fund operations maintenance transportation and imrf those funds increase by about 8.3 million dollars and have about 11.77 months expenditures and fund balances so this is June 30th is one of the high points of the year I'm going to use those those fund balances over the next well usually it's over three four months but depending on what the county likes to do with property taxes it could be even longer

in having those those fund balances and reserves to kind of Stave off the delays in property taxes is helpful to the district because we're seeing in your 54 million and piano practice the next year so we'll spend the capital projects that both in 23 because they'll continue on the addition summer of 23 they will do work on the remaining Renovations at Riley Northlake we'll be doing work over the summer at Jefferson and Whittier um we'll continue to work here and so a lot of that will be spent through the end of this year and then on through in the beginning of the ask by 24 years so I would imagine through the fall we would see expenditures related to construction well this year 24.5 we should see here in front wheels explosion uh 24 would

drop down we should be complete with projects okay in 24 so we should get back and 24 25 you would have more of a normal expenditures across the funds where we're not going to have big projects going on okay so fun balance pretty you know inspections okay and on the revenue side so on the on the far right columns you can see it is the 2021 balances you have a comparison in total from this year to last year revenues increased by about 10 million dollars just kind of wanted to point that out uh there's a large portion of corporate policemen corporate personal property replacement taxes that went up Statewide um that went up um about a million five and then property taxes went up mainly due to The Debt Service fund with the the new

bonds came and increased Levy for Debt Service you pay off those bonds and and also some timing issues of when um based on how the county distributes property taxes and how they base the collections the first install in a second installment um it's a little kind of misleading it was a little lower than less a little lower last year a little higher this year but it'll average out to the middle there I'm somewhere going forward thank you on the next slide um the so that financial information is put into the the state's annual financial report and they calculate their total Pro their profile score the financial profile score the district is is once again at a 3.7 as you were last year uh you had been at a 4.0 in the past before the bond

issuance so I I would assume this would pay down your their long-term debt everything else being equal you'll get back up to that to that higher score but it makes it makes sense based on their calculations and what they you know what they what they how they develop the calculations that you would dip a little bit but you're still in recognition status which is the highest baddest you can I'm gonna go uh now I'm going to transition a little bit to the reporting and insights letter this is our non-financial highlights um related to the audit on the following slide I guess you can move to slides the we're putting an insights letter um this is this satisfies a few different auditing standards so our required reporting communication to management and the board the first thing

of note is the auditor's responsibilities on the next slide so the objective and financial statements audit is to express an opinion on the financial statements and we look at internal control to help prepare that opinion not necessarily to provide an opinion on internal control but to help us develop our audit procedures to express that opinion a little bit about Management's responsibilities on the next slide is to prepare and fairly present the financial statements establish and maintain effective internal controls of the financial reporting and compliance with laws and regulations compliance with the types of requirements required by OMB the compliance supplement that's related to the single audit the out of the federal Awards and to provide us with threaten repossession representations at the conclusion of the audit and those representations are are included in that reporting

and insights letter for you to see I pretty much really states that the district gave us everything that we asked for some of the qualitative aspects of accounting practices on the next slide is kind of a laundry list of things we're required to communicate for uh I'll kind of talk about more of the interesting ones for accounting policies the district adopted Gatsby 87 for the accounting of leases it really didn't have an impact on the financial statements just kind of a reclassification of how reliabilities were presented the estimates were reasonable the financial statement disclosures were neutral consistent and clear we had no material audit adjustments which is fantastic there were there were a couple of past adjustments so some adjustments that weren't recorded in the financial statements as they were in material and the imrf

Actuarial variants that you've had in the past that pretty much all the districts have had in the past just a difference between imrf and their audit versus their their numbers that are audited versus the numbers that are used in their Actuarial evaluation that are come out before the audit so as with any audit there's there's some uh differences in those two numbers so it causes a little bit of a variance for the district and all in all uh I'm all right members and we just had a minor Capital asset correction there were no disagreements with management and Bell consultation Builder Auditors as I mentioned you have an eventual representation letter and really no no issues in performing the audit a couple of new accounting announcements coming down next year they'll be the uh a new

standard about subscription-based by T arrangements and then in a few years we'll have kind of a tweak to how compensated absences are accounted for we'll work with the discrepancy to implement both of those those standards I don't I don't expect a tremendous impact related to them finally on internal control matters as I mentioned we look at internal controls to perform our to determine the nature timing and extent of our audit procedures we did have one repeat comment around material weakness over financial reporting and it's the districts business office main um you know their their expertise is in the day-to-day accounting the financial of the financial information not necessarily would be your end financial reporting and all the note disclosures and keeping up with the accounting standards applicable to them as I mentioned we do assist

with that that service with management oversight so it is it is a comment that we've had in the past that but you know the other kind of comments for segregation of Duty the things that could be out there you know the internal controls on the day-to-day um reporting there's nothing to report in that regard the business office is not it's not large as you know um but they do a good job of checking each other's work and making sure that the monthly financial information the year-end financial information um is is presented accurately I guess with that I would just kind of open it up to any questions from the board related to either both reports or anything else you should join my uh 3.7 yes and it's all because of the construction Department it's because

of the debt that was taken to pay for the construction projects it's a big figuratively prepares that and then isby will come out with the final their final report on that during the school year and then you have an opportunity to respond to me but in the change really is um Joe said it's tied to our long-term debt issuing the bonds for the referendum should not really have any impact in much of anything it's good to know any questions from John once again thank you for all our skills good good news thanks thank you the suggested motion is that the Board of Education accept the audit for the fiscal year ending June 30 2022 as presented Miss O'Connell please Chavez [Music] motion Theory thank you I would like to uh I should have read this

during the um treat the taxation hearing so this is new that we are required to read just as in the budget uh hearing we're required to read the fund balances so in September the budget hearing we've read the projected ending funding projected ending fund balances high five so so the projecting any fund balances for the education fund uh projected ending fund balance 28 million one hundred thirty thousand eighty eight dollars have been achieved just when I read this correctly uh the O M five million eight hundred eight thousand two hundred sixty nine dollars Debt Service three million six hundred thirty thousand ninety seven dollars Transportation fund 2 million two hundred seventeen thousand seventy six dollars imrf one million fifty six thousand nine hundred fifty three dollars capital projects 19 million one hundred forty thousand dollar

forty thousand seven hundred forty dollars working cash four million nine hundred five thousand two hundred ten dollars Gordon fund 53 477 in life safety eighty eight thousand nine hundred twenty five dollars with one that's the projected ending balance for June 30 23. yeah every board meeting at the hearings okay and if you don't have a love of hearing then you read it during part of an unlucky adoption uh the requirement is not clear whether it is the June 30 and again with balances so when we presented the budget in September we I read the uh estimated ending balances for June 30-23 so I'm staying with that number and I'm sharing that information again thank you thanks okay and Madam Secretary thank you very much anything else Mr Medina thank you so much for your patience

and I just came to say congratulations because the progress that has been made by this board in this district and remarkable I've been watching all of the improvements that all of you have done in the way that you've been working and I just um have been doing it for different board meetings in other words lucky enough to write Mr Sosa just recently in an event um and um I just wanted to come by and say congratulations and great work in front of me this District appreciate that appreciate it thanks all right uh can you run alone should we asked that the board and crew of the public participation in the written correspondence as presented Christopher Chavez and Miss Paula we'll call please O'Connell hi Sosa hi Tower hi Maura aye Mason Jackson uh Chavez hi

for the superintendent position and that's why she's here tonight welcome thank you on the suggested motion is that the board of group The reassignment of Ms Elizabeth Flores from Whittier Administrative Assistant to superintendent's Administrative Assistant effective December 12 of 2020. in motion okay this oconomist for a roll call please salsa hi hi Tower hi Mara aye Mason hi Jackson hi Chavez O'Connell hi motion Perry congratulations we asked at the board approve the fundraisers as we presented Sunnyside PTO Smencils fundraiser Jefferson Sunnyside McArthur PTO it's a Pizza Hut you're welcome I'm sorry Miss Mason yes hi Tara hi Laura hi Mason Jackson O'Connell hi salsa hi motion Carrie thank you yes discussed in closed session we asked that the Board of Education notified authorized the superintendent to notify the parents who travel okay because of residency

if you would you mind blowing up your red and yellow everyone do you red and yellow so I want to really uh just give a big shout out to Mrs Vince and Miss Daniel and Miss Travis because they came up with a symbolic nice big river yes the red for MacArthur the yellow for Sunnyside and that is your sample of it your portion of it that was actually held across the stage and Mr Hightower made that cut and it was such a nice photo that we had the turnout of our speakers was so nice to have I know mayor Tamborino didn't want to speak but it was here at the North side we had the president of um Berkeley mayor of the president of the he was there the mayor of Northland Jeffrey Sherwood and

it came by majority uh leader Welch came by the return statement and what a nice picture yeah very quickly those of you who are there if you want to save Mr Sosa it was amazing it was amazing I was able to attend with my wife and my son and after the ceremony we did a tour and my wife my son and myself obviously were speechless my son who attempted to uh North Lake Middle School and then provide some pnsa it's like that this looks like a college okay um so so which people the status here so just like you said all the the touches and it's beautiful like real real nice one of the things I personally really really like are those little rooms that they have on each individual parts or like starting sessions

like you know four or five people only with whatever that's that's amazing that's that's that was the cherry on top of it and Mr Jackson made it just after the picture but Mr Jackson what did you think of this I love it because I loved it you know he had the map I was body because I was following him around they're just amazing everything you know from the locker room when I grew up about to lock them up by him I probably feel like I'm not going to assist College after my college life that nice but uh yeah it benefits yeah they're thinking about I can say like if you don't they would take us to high school people don't know what it is like my first week so I know I'm going they always

go I mean they'll give us enough time one thank you Mrs O'Connell you the DMV well I thought it was awesome the job well done by everybody really Mrs Maura you were traveling and you and I got on the phone I know how busy you are and they don't follow your support you know I I I'm gonna go what uh Mr Chavez said earlier when we saw the video was that it just looks you know exactly um probably like everyone envisioned and probably even better um while we were watching the video I mean it's probably not because we're talking education here not the best kind of example but almost like in some of the areas looks like a coffee shop where you do want to go and sit down in different areas I spend a

lot of time at the airport so like airport seating for me when I want to try and sit down and catch up the seating really matters to try and you know get work done until all of the little things that I was seeing I was like it you know really um supports all different ways of learning and all different like Comfort levels so I mean it just looks absolutely wonderful yes my kids are at uh North Lake um but I showed them pictures too and they were just very jealous yes yeah High School I'm speechless I was telling someone uh I would like to come back you know just to experience it yes but I know moving forward all of the work that everyone that has been involved in all of those that are going

to get on board because well I can see that has been planted and now they see the food of it all they're going to want to taste of it so I'm looking forward to what not only the Builders will do for the educational aspect of our community but also for the residencies and how people are going to destroy you know because we are showing as you've said before how we value education speaker Welch and uh he was saying the state of Illinois is to they're going to take this opportunity to brag on birth 87 so if I come from the Speaker of the House we've done something special and it could have happened without the administration and people sitting around this table thanks everybody and I just want to close with we had planned to

do the living better at the end of the foyer I think I mentioned that too when people walk in by the cafeteria I don't know if I mentioned this with Samora or Mrs who could because pages and I even said that Mrs Vince Carter there's a break we'll we'll get we'll we'll do it because we even moved the band out the band was close to me but she just kept coming coming and I don't even know where they were parking guys it was really amazing now Jeremy said it one time there were over a thousand people I could not I had no idea about that many people throughout the day today and the world team both said it was incredible how many people showed up how the community showed up for for the event and

it was the best intended event that they have seen and there's one of the gentlemen on the gilbane team this was his first Open House Grand Opening so he didn't know what to expect and he shared with Jeremy that just seeing the faces of the community the people that are actually going to be in the building made it all work better these conversations uh we we were very tough on our Administration we challenged our Administration uh to come up with the best solution you know at the end of the day you know we wanted to look forward to 21st what are we going to do to bring our children into the 21st century and I look at this and I look at our you know how we get them ready for the future you know

that's you know that's our goal that's our Legacy you know that's that's what we leave behind for down you know we've actually decided you know I we can only reflect on the fact that it's an amazing Legacy that we're leaving here thank you thank you great thank you very much what we were trying to uh guesstimate how old is the old building oh 1949 which one both no I think what was no I think what was 53. is okay yeah yeah [Music] okay I want to say the oldest section is like in 65 66 years old yeah yeah because that was one of the things we reviewed when we're looking at because I remember Northlake and when you're with the rightly well whittier's new but North ain't prizes I think they're like in the 60s

and 70s and I think what we're looking at um you know what what's because first what was Jefferson 1908 1910. so um I think it's it's a good way forward you know we're gradually around our schools and linear yeah so whether you're in Jefferson I don't know how Whittier it was it was out there too once again so let's move on because I believe I've been related I've been asleep okay okay I just have one thing for my own importance to be recommended it's going to share our uh Panorama SEL data from last month so we're going to share that data real quick young lady thank you for sure and my apologies last month I had a community recording but I was home with a very sick little girl so all right this month though

we are going to look at our fall data which is our dinner and this is our focus on social emotional learning we do this three times here so just a reminder that this is um I already said three times a year but the areas that we look at are emotional regulations management social awareness growth mindset sense of belonging teachers student relationships um the one thing I did want to note is that we did change our K through two survey this year we actually created our homes near the same questions that are three through eight survey look like in the past it had only been four questions now it is much more robust um but it is still completed by the teachers of our students um when you're looking at these slides you'll notice that there

are two more um images of there the one on the top left is our fall of last year the one on the bottom right would be our fall of this year so I'll go through each of them and just kind of talk a little bit about the growth the first thing you'll notice is that blue line that number the percentage next to it is percent favorable then you'll see right to the right of that is where you've got the percentile ranges this is where we are compared nationally and then all the way over to the right would be our increase or decrease uh and student response from the last time we administered the survey in the fall so um this one at the bottom right would be the one that we did just this fall

so as you compare it to last fall you see that we have an increase in all three areas of the percent favorable so 50 52 and 83 and on that left hand side it tells you which brain model sets representing the the thing is that we also want us to make sure I don't know what job you can prove where it says your screen sharing at all or if it doesn't allow you to move that all right perfect but I really wanted to know that National comparison I think we were really concerned obviously last year we were returning from the pandemic trying to get back to a normal year we had a lot of conversations about SEL I think this goes to show two things as we look at this National comparison is that we

are in Berkeley I feel like doing a pretty decent job of making sure our students are returning back to normal we see that person favorable there um but also that even compared nationally we're responding pretty high and I love whenever we see it of all that 50th percentile we want to be on that right hand side which be all the way to the 80th 99 percentile it's it's pretty amazing so this would be emotional regulation which was a huge area of focus for us if you recall from last year self-management I know this was something especially in that K through two that we were um working on you see a little bit of an increase in our grades 6 through 12. a little bit of a drop in our three through five students but we

see a major increase in the teachers and staff of our the percent favorable have risen greatly again this was a focused area and I was K through two buildings which might be glad we also see that increase in the K through or the 6 through 12 on that percentile range of how we are nationally compared and stuff I think self-management has been an area we're going to continue to focus on I see a lot of those self-management skills being taught as we enter these new buildings and the foundations teams have been working on that social awareness we I didn't feel like this was the one we saw the least amount of movement in especially in our 3 through 12 or 3 through 8th grades I know it's a sixth or 12 from there and again

a little bit of that jump and the social awareness from our K through two Scholars making sure to keep this brief too I don't want to be able to access this too late uh the growth mindset again this would be an area overall that we've had a lot of discussions about just being able to see how our own feelings and what we think about ourselves can in fact really in I should say influence how we think about school so increases in both of these areas and another one where we see ourselves and that Grace three through five all the way up to that 99th percentile so we're seeing a lot of green a lot of right shifting a lot of those arrows are going in the right direction which I think goes to uh you

know to our Scholars being back at school and then also our focus on possession lessons and then final one here was the sense of belonging I know that last year especially at our middle schools we're talking about bringing back some of those things that really made our Scholars want to be in the building so be excited about that I'm excited most of all to see where this goes after we open our new buildings and see if that says the belonging even increased us more from here I know how to feel but every time I walk into those buildings so I can only imagine how it will be reminiscent of students are you gonna trap hopefully through this statement and we'll be doing it we'll be doing a winter um Administration oven so they'll be back

in the new buildings by then available in the spring so we'll be able to track if that continues to increase as well but I think we've returned we're trying to return to a lot of those activities but we haven't seen in a while we've got our 100 book challenge where we're celebrating our students reading we've got activities who are back in our buildings again I think that personally I mean I'm speaking for my own research and being a building principal here but it changes the way students feel about school and I think that is going to be vindictive reflective in the data as well and then our teacher-student relationships again this would be an area where there was a item well there's not really any increase from Fall to fall but we were already pretty

high on the relationships so I think we're just going to like continue to monitor how to keep those relationships strong and we see that even more so at that Middle School level um again I've seen some of the student choice that we've been trying to put it hopefully will I'll write that as well our K-2 survey which I said earlier is was administered a little differently so as you can see up there we have the change since winter 2022 and you don't have that on the bottom that's because of the question changes so I'm wondering now once we do this again during our winter administration of it if we'll be able to see that or because we've created the questions I don't know if that's not going to be there so I will figure that

out in this next time around but emotional regulation uh social awareness and self-management saw and increase seven percent favorable remember this one is done by the teachers which I think also speaks to the relationships that we're seeing among the teachers that came through two buildings with the students overall these are just our district-wide celebrations and growth opportunities I know that you see these and you woke on the next two slides of the individual ones within the buildings you see these within the Sip lands so it's nothing new but I just like to capture all of it uh basic in a nutshell returning in great production and I think that's really to be celebrated with the teachers and relationships that are focusing on and having our kids back and then some of our growth opportunities I've

already spoken through which we went for the size so Joe you can kind of just wrap up these next tool you can look at them specifically for the moments individually if you would like to um but there's like I said earlier this is nothing new than what you see in the city plans and I did watch you on this last slide take one just moment of focus to one of the new sorry next one one of the new programs we're about to uh launch here in our middle schools which is the social Institute I know you've heard a little bit of discussion around this but we're really excited to put this into our six three buildings it also goes all the way down to fourth grade so we have potential in the future but the

focus on this and why it makes it so different than what we already have in place is that it really brings in that social media aspect which is what we see most influential in our six through eight buildings so we'll see how the students respond but I know I've done some of the lessons myself and gone through them and having been a principal in a building and seeing some of those challenges we have firsthand I'm hoping this helps provide a little bit more context for our students I think a lot of the time happens is they don't even understand the repercussions other actions so this is going to draw that attention to did you know if you do this how has this been handled in the past are they even bring up some actual court

cases of students who have ended up in these situations and I don't think that our students really think of things in these large capacities of how they can impact on a much larger scale so I'm very excited to see that launched by the end of January middle schools so that would be all wrapped up and then we'll continue getting that data and moving forward from here thank you and this fits right into our strategic planning which is inclusive learning environment which is going to thank you thank you thank you okay yes I am yeah the summary of budget statement of position and the Student Activity reports for the period ending November 30 2022 are provided for your review the next item we have the truth and Taxation hearing at the start of the meeting and

this is the opportunity for the board to take action on that so the suggested motion is that the Board of Education adopt the 2022 tax levy resolutions as presented motion Mr O'Connell please motion carry and then the annual financial report Joe lightcap from Baker till he did a great job reviewing everything with the board and this is just an opportunity if there were any additional questions and then the next item is the change orders that were reviewed during the facilities at the mini meeting are presented for your approval the suggested motion is that the Board of Education approved change orders 121 through 128 as presented motion Miss O'Connell Mrs HOSA will call please Maura aye Mason aye Jackson Chavez O'Connell aye salsa motion carrier and then I might oral report um so this fall we

finalize the boundary funding and there was money put into escrow for the payment of those bonds and we actually got a refund check for uh excess escrow funds in approximately twenty thousand dollars so we're required to put that into The Debt Service fund um what I would like to do is bring a resolution back next month I'll work with Chapman and Cutler to prepare that and allow us the opportunity to transfer those funds to capital projects and then putting towards their projects and we've one of the criteria is that we have to expanded by June 1st of 2023 which we have a lot of gilbane's invoices that will come between now and June 1st so I don't think we'll have a problem spending an additional twenty thousand dollars so um I just wanted to share

that with the board and then that resolution will come back and James Brown um the skip renewal I've been providing updates and we had our annual renewal meeting earlier this month and the the renewals are banded based on experience so our property liability increase was approximately five and a half percent then the Cyber renewal was just under 27 percent so it is much better than the 40 or 50 percent kind of industry-wide and as I shared last month this skip pool is doing a lot of work to try and make and keep the skim pool marketable and insurable for cyber insurance so the Cyber toolkit which Mr burn and I have been working together on and they'll be different processes that Mr burn will work with that team and then they also have consultative minutes

included in that so that is one of the tools or resources that is capable will be utilizing to make sure that we continue to be insurable in the future yes and the EBC for our employee benefits that pre-renewal is in January I will attend that meeting and then provide an update to the board from that preliminary meeting the Berkeley Tiff uh update the joint review board meeting normally is held in December and that is being rescheduled to January so when they schedule that I will attend that and then provide an update to the board and then I spoke with Vanguard regarding our Nicor Gas or our gas so for the new building we now have an account we got our first invoice and we account number we added it we tried to add it to

the um the pre-purchased program it has to go one one billing cycle before it can go in the pool and um for the pre-purchased gas that we we reserve so if we do that the one cycle and it's pending for this then we're exposed if we have those Degree Days we're exposed to Market rates which could be five six dollars a third who knows so instead of doing that we will keep nine um the new building on nine quarters rates instead of one of these uh Transportation accounts that's what they call it because it's not Nightcore product so we will keep it with nightcore until the spring and then switch it and put it on the pre-purchase program that we have it's less risk and we would be treated like any other night workout and

then electric we will need to extend our rate lot for electric beyond June 30 2023 I previously talked to the board and got consensus that when Vanguard calls us with the rate when the rates are in a good spot that we would lock it in so I'm still working with them to kind of that sweet spot to lock in and extend for another year okay and then um we did get a notice we you may recall we participate in the NRG energy Reduction Program that when they have a critical day and we shut down and reduce our energy usage um we get a check so we do have checks on their way for five of the for the five accounts and it looks to be over seven thousand dollars so once they eat once we

get the actual checks I will let the board know but that is um you know a good good payback for a program that Mr White and his team takes their effort to shut everything down so we can participate in it of course we can't shut anything down on a school day when kids are are in the schools but when it happens on other days we're able to to meet a requirement and then the last item that I added we received a change order for the abatement at Northlake we received that today so it was too late to have it on board meeting the dollar amount is under the threshold so it is for work that will be done over winter break we are replacing case work that had water damage from that flooded in last

summer at Northlake originally we weren't going to replace those space cabinets in the art room because of that we have to replace them and there's tile underneath that so that abatement will be completed over winter period so with divorce consensus we'll sign off on that and then we'll bring it back as an agenda item in January to ratify it it is a little over five thousand dollars so it's well alone with threshold that would give us permission to approve change orders but since we got it today I at least wanted to share that with you and that is the end of my report unless there are any questions thank you everybody's smiling all right Miss Travis you're welcome all right how do you bro breathe um vacancies are vacancies still remain insistent so very consistent

to last month 19 certified instead and 16 support stand some of the support staff has looked at me positions Mr White and I were interviewing um we've had some administrative assistance change roles so we're interviewing for those and um tonight we hired one and you see Miss uh foreign and then we have two I don't know the chair at this bilingual candidates who have reached out to me and so that's wonderful check their licensure and so I have shared their information with the principles so hopefully we'll be interviewing them as well so that's good middles that we have had for December graduates reach out to us um and then last but not least we're gearing up for the 2023 career Affairs starting one of those in January uh for the universities and the principal's assistant

principles uh we'll joining would that be great yes question for you when you go to the career Affairs to use any media uh no we have not we do not share our website with them but we don't use our does anybody use anything not really usually what they're doing because this is a lot of us and not that many candidates anymore they will have them like put their information in um the computer but no it's really more personable you know when you're when you're there but that's still not bad they made a tweet you know a lot of people are on Twitter and so they made it to me so that's one thing we've been talking about is you know getting our information out on Twitter video yes I will and and sell there and

we have a tremendous opportunity here at the cellar industry I will say Mr Travis Mr gronchowski and Dr modin told me that I need to bring pictures of the new building next time so I did write that down that we're doing no pictures and like you said that video I should think of other things because they're excited to hear about what we're doing and one thing we've been doing so tomorrow I've got to go over to them during an interview with no candidate because he's for a Vanguard so I wonder if they could help us with some type of little I can ask a very quick you know 30 second video or something like that yeah hit on those nice highlights over at district and you know with the video that would be an awesome

song that's a great idea thank you for you she said when you were uh on those sites do you have enough space to have a small screen where like you said a 30 second video could just get looped behind you so that it can draw it's like yeah it would possibly could you know put a spring lap and purchase it and put it in that technology issue yeah can you put something together for a presentation for us to go out and sail to the population at large yeah we've done some things in the past with one of the banners that we put together and some images and stuff like that I think the new building an opportunity to perfect marketing district and like you said the Drone video and things like that um you know

like Mr Krabby said each career fair opportunity might look a little different absolutely but I think like you said you know you can have that computer with something going um I've been to trade shows and you know I'll see vendors out there they'll have their laptop they'll have you know they'll be showcased yeah of course not that's important yeah no wonder if another opportunity would be like a signature Banner especially if you're having a lot of email exchanger that you have some sort of Link in your signature that like the people that you're exchanging emails with could just click on it go look at it too for like the non-personal communications you're having I don't know let's shoot over to Mr White Focus yeah most of the time isn't working out all the perks that

go but in addition to that it will also we start discussions removal the apartment complex so that will start over uh winter break and then we'll begin working with Wolves so we started demolition doing spring break I no we're going to do this first yeah I have to talk well okay because you gotta figure timeline so you know we have to see like with the best time how are we doing with your uh your hiring opportunity sport at the senator but we haven't had that many applicants so both the in the pushes um we were working on the supervisor and getting into that building once this big move is done that shifts will focus on custodial okay all right you pushing forward people need to help okay anything else oh this is Barbara yes so

we have we feel some number two years ago for yeah well um so if you're with Dale said the main priority is the transition from the ultimate character tiny side to the new to some of the layers of Technology um you gotta have the infrastructure and everything in place so now it's good time for some of the things that really need to be up and running for the first day of school um so there's some Network items that have only with all of them but a lot to do specifically teachers and students leave so we have um five work days to really get some things and running into the buildings foreign tutorial building and getting acclimated into a special education is of different way of delivering services so it's just a new kind of reality

for all of us and being used to a common space so special to meeting one area where the board might have been trying to find the prices for some of our practitioners to meet with students um who's saying how excited they were about with breakouts that's been shown for us and so we're very excited about that but it is a different shift in how we work with our students and students are not probably going to be coming to the practitioners particulars are going to be going to the students so there's just a lot of different um pieces for us to be sure we're going to have in place in different pressures for patients from students [Music] yeah but I think it's just amazing opportunities for the children to be this much more included because they

can do some of the things foreign [Music] making sure they have a living and we were actually very fortunate to work with our First Responders in the area they walk through the building we wanted to make sure they moved for our special vacation classrooms were located they had special locations in the building of the front of the pods so I wanted our working fathers to know our students with disabilities would be located in those paths so that was a nice opportunity for them to SCM I'll be honest the uh on the West Suburban exposed team they've never seen anything like this in this area and this team comes all the way from like Rose I mean it's a very large Western municipalities where it comes together for that team and they just they almost were

as well as the students but I'm glad we have that opportunity very nice very nice mom and very appreciative of their support might be very um 21st century well all I can say is a job well done very well we could not have done it without this team and we spent a lot of time things that have gotten really and have a comment section your father the donkey is he was fantastic you sent a lot of good ideas so thank you more we really appreciate you guys and administration as well so what's left here let's see our next meeting next year January 23rd well we totally don't want to wish everybody happy holidays thank you thanks everybody and we've got to put another year together all right get a motion to adjoin um happy holidays

everybody thank you
