indivisible with liberty mr hightower thank you any public participation renewal mr bernady online there is none online thank you i guess to go over the change order page orders that we presented in the regular meeting and do a project update and then just an update on the sunny side all right good evening what does that code say fff 100. all right okay i'm going to share with you i was looking back the exact date of when we started work so digging through some old pictures here um this was our first drone flight out here we obviously started moving some dirt but as you can see this was taken july 6th so we've come about a year ago i'm going to that was kind of saying something to share a little bit of progress over the

past year uh our actual first day of work was june 21st so we just surpassed that notice that they've [Music] the years were the changes have been and uh also exciting to think uh five months so good part that's gonna be before we know it very my monthly update monthly update yes so um on the side side on the partner's side actually maybe i should have you go to the drone video first so this was taken june 7th referenced this um so as you see the enclosure is coming along very nicely there's a lot of a lot of big progress that says that it was taken so the east side of the building is almost all enclosed with glass exception of front insurance so that's writing a little bit just because the coordination of the

field measuring that had to be done there probably popping south from the front entrance going in but the east side um will be bought out by the end of the rest of the class um you will see some boarded up windows some things that have blue stars on them uh those are a combination of either pieces of glass that are still mixed to the drinks that we haven't gotten yet or [Music] um brickwork actually the major report actually finished up last week or northwest sorry um they are substantially complete there's missing stuff so that's a big milestone i'm getting rid of that activity uh as much as we like them here it's always a good thing it's easy closures right now so i would say 16 of the classes in the building at this point

and i would say we probably have two and a half to three weeks on all the glasses so we've got a few things like i said some piece of glass or metal panels that are lagging a bit a few doors that are lagging but for all test purposes the last will be done in the next three weeks so we're still on track to be our goal is to have building blockable securable but first and foremost so we're still in good shape for that temporary measures you're going to see the parking lot on the road get so [Music] is conditioned inside it's very nice uh involved 65 of the building uh with those temperatures admissions separate doors so all of the south africa including the big cafeteria [Music] to [Music] late last week and athletic equipment

um months basically every five days we've also started prepping for ceilings for school so we've got a lot of layout we've actually got a little bit of ceiling grid in select areas that will really get going here and once [Music] get ready to close is for science having parker um overall we're in good shape i talked about just asking here we've also worked about a hundred and seven thousand hours schedule wise we're still running right at three and a half to four so that they can come in and do some of their roughing or an install for more as a part of the construction system which will then cut some time off so we want to make sure that they're not having to go back that's we are still um uh price dates the biggest

damage was in the music room uh the large openings the east side knocked out a lot of amount of stuff for 12 7 walls i have not formally seen the pricing for the mechanical equipment that was damaged um but it's going to be i think [Music] but no major tear off of reading so that's kind of that's that's the extent that we don't find any installation on any typical [Music] they might yes [Music] all right um so then i'll talk about riley northlake maybe we'll start with the drone video there and there's a lot of good progress uh over on that side of the site as well since we've we met last uh so unfortunately i can't collect rome through the field because that's where [Music] there's a lot of progress on site we've actually

installed almost all of the same activities outside of that now leaving just the maintenance of the storm track underground so the addition utilities no that's inside the building's major progress has been moving out of furniture clearing spaces getting to making ways for demolition pavements they've been actually pretty much finished up over the weekend uh they're in north lake probably 60 percent uh and then we captured next basement which is about to be activity and that's flooring like station combinations that's moving more well uh demolition wise uh on our special days we're sequencing of events has been a struggle in a few it's nothing that we didn't expect it's just daily challenges that we're working through projects moving along we started reframing carrier walls today we started reinforcing some of the steel today for the new

top units we also started with technology it's some challenges in the ceilings there's a lot of classrooms already for all of my fixtures uh they've really made a lot of money mechanically we've run google.com so i think that's the major items a lot of that efficient classroom is good let's start this time start reading that we're going to start meeting here that's probably group the items over there no questions how are we doing what's that really good so joking flipped my changers [Music] oh oh i think i have that one let's see order log yes i'll make it a little bigger okay so as you can see here we're still in pretty good shape total request for tonight on sunday partners fifty three thousand eight dollars so we're about 120 28 000. some pretty big

the time of credits value engineering existing conditions putting things back together important so working through pr's a lot of those pr [Music] walls those walls mechanical chases a little bigger so we had to adjust some of the sizes of our horse attack for responsibility so to go along with that or exterior [Music] roughly um but then we have to revise the lower opening leaving the sunny side gymnasium then is related to pr 38 so those couple slab edges didn't coordinate well with the actual curtain wall thicknesses once the dirt wall design was completed a lot of these larger openings required we had one arch uh opening uh who was this and stuff incorporated in here and um [Music] um um change order 62 then still start setting partner uh this is something that came up

quite a while ago when we're framing the houses we had some concrete slab edges at ten houses uh large gaps between that through that bucks cassettes in some cases other places we had the roof that was tight up against the concrete slab edge capacity of the walls this is something i tried to cover up with skill [Music] here which is in relation to their sticks uh review this as a team um there's a couple of things we're putting new daughters bounce thoughts on the existing gymnasium uh [Music] so that's about seventeen thousand dollars that's possible there's some gridline religions chips and works office uh some gifts of course so i've noted here on the chamber this is for the geo services which is the labor division so i think two 250 thousand dollars like four

hundred thousand dollars and just to get that worked out on time so um through the demolition phase which is always the interesting part of it i do have some um 500. left in my steel box but we're still we've still got miscellaneous things to do we've got glassware let's do the rails i'd like to reserve that 9500 [Music] metal [Music] um i think the cheaper part in that is really whatever it costs is with that is i learned sometimes it's difficult because you're actually getting this with the product yeah so he actually thought it was even more practical i wouldn't thought until we had thank you all right very good thank you guys thank you and we have jessalyn kelly with us [Music] yeah so i'll keep it pretty quick jefferson playground in a timely

fashion and this day and age was challenging um so we're being proactive and making sure that they can get there so what we are proposing uh other breakdown costs so we've already purchased all the furniture for sunny side parker franklin and northland that is done um it came in under a budget in those funds uh we allocated 350 000 for the sunnyside playground and our base design comes in pretty good right on that in our discussions as a group um there was an opportunity to add an additional accessibility ramp to the physical play structure and including that proved important um in all of our discussions but pushed the budget just lighting over that 350 000 so um what we are proposing is that 353 700 one total and um as a part of this if

you want to scroll down to the last page or the page yes um i i felt the impact of taking that out of contingency so um the contingency very specific to this product this part of the project is 360 so taking that 3 700 and one dollar uh coverage out of contingency still leads us on our budget getting square furniture um also running to highlight we are still holding that extra five percent rate of delivery contingency inside that furniture number so ideally that comes in even lower as well so what we are asking the board to decide on is kind of the base design or the inclusion of the ada [Music] so um just one agreement with attention we are still tracking very very well on the budget um i will be looking into costs

and estimates or financial lines i have touched facebook a couple of different reps to make sure those are just so accurate um do you have the presentation the images yeah so just wanted to [Music] so does anyone have any questions oh so um um and that is the results a little bit but that's [Music] they're so that backed us up a little bit more but then we have but that plaque is up over there already so it will be fully secured we do have uh height collars or our big pulse uh because it is right uh adjacent to the drive plane to the pluses and we do and we have a slightly further fence but it is open to the rest of the space the one other thing i will mention is that with this

project you'll be able to get all turf surfacing we talked a lot about the difference between the rubber surface and the turf cost wise they're very comparable the church should give you about an extra five years um it doesn't have any snow speeds um now we were all shocked and then when um my facilities it was like [Music] benefits of some of the market issues um it unfortunately increased the cost of rubber um but this stays flat um this is another piece of equipment that is wheelchair accessible switch um no question from the board mr jackson mr chavez mr hyde mr jackson miss mason laura mr [Music] okay yes so this evening we have the public hearing on the amended budget for fiscal year and in your background information i highlighted the areas that changed

if you recall when we talked about this during the audit presentation the main goal was to eliminate the tracking the statement which we tracked on the revenue size was on the expenditure side but it was like an accounting slowly there was never any transfer of funds so um joe like that he shared that most of the districts have gone away from that practice and it creates it creates a an item in our audit to identify that yet doesn't match so make christmas thanks spending the budget i did some adjustments to clean up some other carriers within the budget um expenditures and especially on several projects to account more closely for what the actual expenditures were at the start of the school year we estimated the father's day today exactly but as the bills would come

in the actual cost would be at this point so that was the other area um i did not actually later in my here so we have the food service food supplies the suggested motion is that the board of education award the food service supplies bid for the 2022-2022 i'm sorry commercial food systems incorporated and presented promotion mrs mason world cup is and for food service paper supplies is suggested motion for the board of education awards the food service paper supplies bid for the 2022-2023 school year to gordon food service commercial incorporated as presented right jackson [Music] no okay yes we motion smoke and for the closed session of april 25th 2022. [Music] hightower jackson mason o'connell still yes carriers okay so um board reports what's going on um [Music] our next regular meeting will be

on wednesday july 20th and from now on they're all at 7 7 p.m because i'm getting there so it works we're going to make adjustments is [Music] all right um [Music] no problem i'm counting you okay thank you okay so dinner before all right thank you mr president uh first i'd just like to um welcome miss daniel who is with us tonight christie is here because next month miss lekkis is not able to attend our meeting so we are upskilling or creating backups for positions within the district so christy is here learning the role of diana and also we plan to have ms spy and back next month to be here as well to help christy but it's the idea of trying to continue to grow our own in different positions so thank you and

then um the first motion i have is regarding an administrator with an intent to retire and so that is mrs vince and mrs vince knows how much i value her and how much i've relied on her not only this year but every year through my role when i was a principal and even when i wrote grades i've learned so much and so i have been encouraging people since i found this out i've heard him to retire to ask her questions we still have two years with her but i learned so much from this events and it's been an absolute pleasure to work with mrs vance and learn with mr pence so um i have to read this because i know i'm required to so i will just you don't have to you know just do

event new spirit wear and for the whittier pto new spirit where and the mick teacher's name portion mrs mason hi tower jackson mason all right so just uh two things in my oral report um the first is on the strategic plan so i'm sharing with you now a copy of not helping this teacher plan but i just wanted to add an example of the kinds of things that we are working on so that extra copies to mr white we can have that and then dale i have another copy for joe give it to him so um everything that we are doing in our strategic planning process is actually on our website and so i will be sending that link to you on thursday or with our next weekly note but i just wanted you to

have an idea of one of the things that we've worked on so we've had several meetings it's been a wonderful team of about 24 parents students staff administrators we've even had a couple of high school students come back with the apartment's process it's been fabulous and so one of the things that we did that i thought was very rewarding was called the swat analysis so that stands for strengths of our district weaknesses of our district opportunities for our districts our district and threats for our and so what i gave you is an example of what we've worked on so we've gathered data and then the team has gone through this data to try to identify things that are relevant for district data so for example in the packing cap on the very first page some

of our strengths as identified by the team that our community supported the 105 million dollar referendum that came up not only from the team but also through a survey of our parents 34 years of state recognized financial management that was very important for our parents that we have a track record of managing our fiscal resources that we are striving to improve our academic achievement parents recognize that something we are working on but that actually it's a strength that we're working on it but it's a weakness that we have to improve so it kind of goes together uh just a few other really quickly we have relatively small class sizes compared to the state that's viewed as a strength also that another is that our student achievement in math in particular has been growing so that's

for an example of what some strengths are that the team identified if you turn to the next page there's a draft of some of the weaknesses that were identified student academic performances i mentioned students social emotional and health needs a lot of this was directed back from parents about what the children had just gone through with covet and we talked a lot about being ready to pivot if we need to should things change again we're ready to go back to uh social distancing and all the things that we need to do but we also need to move forward with learning as well so we are prepared to move forward with that and uh one of our weaknesses is that we need to close the achievement gaps particularly long term in reading and math another weakness

was identified as student readiness for kindergarten that came up as especially because of code because many parents did not have their children go to a preschool or go to an in-person daycare even so that is something that we are aware of that is potentially a weakness staff morale pride engagement commitment and innovation that's a potential weakness for us with everything that staff has just gone through in the last two years with in-person learning and remote learning we also know that there's a national teacher shortage there's a lot that goes into this item but it's important to be self-reflective that's a weakness that we need to improve upon and then finally having competitive salaries because that's another area that we have to work on with our profession um if you turn to the next page we'll

come up came up with some draft opportunities we need things we could explore one of the things that came up through looking at the data is perhaps restructuring the day and what this is referred to is possibly exploring down the road having late arrivals or early early more excuse me more early dismissals and perhaps introduce later rivals for the professional development opportunities to take place that are needed as you know there are always more and more mandates that are put on the teachers nothing ever seems to come off the plate of what teachers are supposed to do in terms of requirements but it's really hard to give everything it's due when there's just so much limited time so that's something that many districts have been exploring having late arrivals and early dismissals and so that

came up as possibly an opportunity also i'm just highlighting it highlighting a few of these recruiting diverse teachers to have our teaching staff be more reflective of the children that we teach that was another opportunity that came up and then if you move further back in you'll find a section called hopes and dreams aspirations where the participants brainstorm things that they would like us to look at mottos things related to our mission statement and our vision statement and if you turn back in a little bit further um we even came up with something that was called the elephants in the classroom this was something that came up from our team where they talked about grades are often overvalued and are not necessarily reflective of progress toward a standard so that's something that came up from

the team another was to work with helping develop a learner agency and engagement self-sufficiency and independence with our learners to help them basically become better learners all of our kids and then finally it's almost toward the back we have the portrait of our district 87 scholar a fortune of the district 87 employee and the portrait of our district 87 system meaning we are this committee is going to be recommending that our scholars or our store our students have characteristics such as being responsible they're complex thinkers a learner's mindset that they have grit meaning that idea of just persevere to keep at it and not give up to really promote that as a berkeley 87 student where we're all all of us are sharing that expectation for our kids but not only the expectation supports to

do the employee section in the middle there that we we really want our employees to be passionate that be collectively responsible really enjoy your love teaching and learning be culturally aware adaptable resilient respectful of students and families and of course everyone would say well would you do that but i mean literally to write it down these are the expectations so if you're going to work in district 87 this is the expectation you just make it very clear and then we work to support each other to have that kind of culture because research suggests in cultures like this children are more likely to learn and teachers are not only more likely to teach better they're more likely to stay which is we want to have the long-term sustainability and then finally we even have a recommended

draft of what our system should look like that we promote continuous improvement that we value diversity and being culturally aware we're good communicators we focus on priorities we develop a sense of wanting community these are some of the things that i just wanted to highlight because next month we're going to present in july a draft of the plan and i wanted you to have just a little bit of background of what went into it so take this copy with you and if you'd like to see more you just go on our website you can't miss it there's a big link for our strategic planning process and i will send the link again in our weekly demo so if you get a chance just to look through it everything's in there that we've worked on we

have our final meeting this wednesday i want to say we've had six meetings it's been wonderful kelly's been had all of them mrs zimmerman with me and mrs travis has been in every one of the meetings and mrs vince has presented at one of the meetings mr burns presented at one of the meetings and uh mr white presented in one of the meetings so it's been a real collaborative effort it was a good plan good people plans good job yeah it's been it's been a great experience so in my oral report i just want to mention that the facilitators the consortium for educational change they've led us through this process and our recommendation is going to be that we keep that partnership with them next year to help us learn to live the plan it's

one thing to have it we don't want it sitting on a desk somewhere we have to actually have what they what they call champions so for every one of these targets we're going to have a committee of champions to prioritize that target to make sure that we take steps to move forward for the next five years for this plan it's just war right yes district wide good way then the other only other thing i want to mention too is i wasn't sure if we had talked about this so i want to make sure i was clear with it with our calendar for this coming year we are recommending to have kindergarten start on the same date as every other grade that was a hold over from when kindergarten was part time it was half day

but now we're full day and in talking with the principals it's really a good idea to get all the kids in on the first day so they learn how to use the bus routes they learn the procedures a lot of those how to do school things are taught on the first day so we've been communicating with parents and we're going to continue to do that without that i just don't think i specifically mentioned it so i wanted to make sure the board was aware that that's our plan for this year to have kindergarten start on the first day it will also be the district newsletter that we will be sending out we turn the draft in today and that should be going out uh mid-july to all of our families so unless there are any

questions that's the end one it ends this thursday this thursday it's hard to believe the month of june right thank you all right anything else nope that's just thanks good job i have a few updates for you um first i'm going to start with our english from regards update we had our first round of professional development for the american reading company for art that was in june and um we had a fantastic turnout we had 60 members of our staff um attend that training yes i'm very excited um and we 4700 signed up for the august state of have so we are really excited actually our staff will be ready to go to on the first day of school with ground running for our new core ela curriculum the instructional coaches and the cni team

developed um our rollout implementation process for the school year so i'm excited to see that come to fruition all the hard work that the team did and very very grateful for the materials that we were allowed to move forward with um we're going to be having in august um a parent night so that we can roll out to our families what this will look like and what the changes that they'll see in our english language arts curriculum um something that's they'll see in the newsletter also that will go home to the community a component of american company is the hybrid book challenge and that is taking the notion that reading is a life skill that everyone is needs to build and grow and so um our students our scholars our db7 scholars will meet their

at home coaches is what our american company calls it aka our parents to partner with us through this educational journey um and so we'll be talking with them about partnering at home having setting up that environment at home having their students practice their books at home so our teachers will give them their expert coaching during the school day on what their goals are and what they're working on so they'll take their books home their independent books that they should be able to read them independently and fluently um so that they can practice on their goals that they're working on in the classroom to practice those at home and so we'll be working with our families to enlist what that support will look like so they can work with their back home coaches that will be

the term that they've used with american companies so we'll be doing that kickoff in august um we'll have more details to come and be sending that out as well so i'm kind of excited to have that up and running um the next piece that i wanted to talk about and i talked we talked about it the last couple of months called the social institute um and that is a social emotional learning um digital platform it's a supplement to our social emotional curriculum and what that does is it is an online curriculum supplement that empowers our students and helps them navigate social media in healthy ways so it would be a curriculum at the middle school that will help support what we already do with our social emotional learning and advice in our advisory time it

also helps cultivate student resilience but also a key component is giving families resources and information around health healthy technology standards at home which we know is something that is challenging as students in their middle school and get more tech in their hands and social media in their hands so that's something that we're looking to potentially purchase and maybe bring that to you for your whole next month there we go next thing i want to talk a little bit about is as we talked a little bit about our school threat assessment teams um they have completed their level one and level training on comprehensive school threat assessment jackets so we now have over 35 staff and three law enforcement officers from our municipalities that are fully trained on this guidance we did that in june so

the illinois department of public health is continuing to fund the use of shield testing as we move into 22-23 school year so we'll be able to maintain that current partnership as we move forward so we'll continue to use the shield and test estate program as we move into next year the mckinty vento task force has begun to be with our families experiencing homelessness and to assist in accessing those community resources and education for the upcoming school year and also determine if the family still qualifies so we have lots of business with that that's been great with that group that we were able to secure and then the last second last thing is our special education coordinators have been participating in professional development over the summer to create a procedure guide for an iep procedure guide

and then also being reflective of our special education practices and um really creating d87 forms and procedures and this kind of comes under that emergency idea grant that was just approved and so a portion of that set aside is looking at how do we improve outcomes of student learning by supporting our teachers and students with regard to regulation and their behavior and so our team has been working on that and working on that throughout the summer special education coordination team so i'm really excited about that work as we start the school year and lastly last but not least you'll see at each of your places you have an invitation for camp berkeley we are in our last week of that we've got two um invitations here one for each portion of the district from the

north side and the south side whittier and uh jefferson are hosting our summer school as you know and so you've got personalized invitations and we have a quick little video like uh show your attention over here to the screen so i shared my oh perfect [Music] next foreign please if you're able to come join us on june 30th see our final passion projects and tour tours they will be celebrating their winners their fashion projects um paintings stem projects they have just done a phenom phenomenal job i cannot tell you um the staff has done an amazing job ms barr lewis and dr roxanna are in coordination it's been great it sounds all right good job any questions here of course on my oh summer school report good job thank you okay earlier tonight we had

a public hearing for the amendment budget and now is the uh waiting for the board to take action budget the suggested motion is that the board of education adopt the resolution for the adoption of the amended budget for fiscal year 2022 as president good motion second jack's roll call please hi tower hi jackson mason o'connell sosa motion carriage i skipped the financial reports so the summary of budget statement of physician and student activity reports for the period ending may 31 2022 are provided no questions next item is the action item for the change orders that were reviewed as part of the facilities committee tonight the suggested motion is that the board of education approved change orders numbers 58 through 64 as presented promotion station miss o'connor jackson mason [Music] that the board of education contract

for the sunnyside playground to team reel incorporated in the amount of 353 thousand seven hundred one dollars as presented and that recommendation does include their ramp [Music] jackson all right application for the skip insurance review [Music] various carriers you can call the lesson because it's been very hard animals so hopefully it's not quite as intense as it was the next item we've received just self safety matching grant amount of itself is our workers comp the school fluid loss fund pool that we belong to and each year they have made these matching grants available to the number districts and mr white will review the items that are available to purchase through the grant opportunity that we will submit that to yourself and it's a reimbursement so once we order then they will reverse their portion of

it and i'm happy to share with the board that our community eligibility program application was approved for the next four years which that is part of the national school lunch program and that is what provides us the opportunity for all students to eat breakfast and lunch for free so the cep program was through through june 30 2026 and that is for all schools yes this weekend last four years of the kids and then we received information today that the illinois empower fy 23 grant was approved that is the grant that funds training for five of our schools and that amount for next year is fifteen thousand dollars and it is ten thousand dollars for each of those schools and i believe this is fy 23 is the third and final year of that grant it

was a three-year program and lastly i wanted to remind the board that again this year we will run a separate bill list to pay any last-minute bills that came in after the cut-off to capture that in the 22 fiscal year so we'll run that june 30th and then bring that list to the july 14th and then my report unless okay miss travis good evening um on my oral report i have for you the vacancies that we have um as of tonight we have 21 certified staff vacancies and we have 12 support staff agencies principals are interviewing and working on those vacancies also i attended the is virtual career fair on june 8th and at that career fair um i met with about 20 people so um that was good another 20 people um i believe

about four or five of them interviews and um i think tonight we might have hired it's like a platform so i went through last week and went through people that i did not get a chance to meet because it was about 400 um candidates that attended and so for areas that we have vacancies in i went and downloaded the resumes and then we sent them out to the principals for them to contact those candidates and say you know our um hr um assistant superintendent was at the virtual career fair you didn't get a chance to speak with her for reviewing your resume if you're interested please apply and then they can schedule an interview that way so we'll continue um earlier this year we went through all of our career fairs four resumes make folders

and send them out to the principals and then anyone i see as applicants become available i reach out to candidates and then reach out to principals so we can interview them it is very competitive we're moving into july so i will be contacting the principals and talking with them we gotta get started because this is what we have now we do not know what july will bring and so um we have to just work really hard and you know try to fill our positions well our salary schedule you know they're set you know what i'm saying so we have lost candidates to um you know they receive more in salary so we have them because now what i do as a candidate decline our offer i do reach out and say may i ask why

so some of them closer to home something was closer to home some of them do tell me um more pain so i'm keeping a spreadsheet of the reasons so we can take a look at why they are defined when our staff is on i do go through an exit and either now let's be a phone call but before they left we met in person so i can also find out why they're legal what confidence you want to fulfill these yes people anything that i need her to do or what does contact people protect but we will work really hard i just really have to connect with the principals and we have to get people in here because what's competitive is everyone is you know looking for teachers and really it's it's the teacher's choice right

now you know which one do i say yes to this one or that so it's very important and we have to hold quick if we are interested in the candidate really we have to offer otherwise they will make stuff someplace else sometimes it's about time so um if the principals tell me they're interested like today uh i thought principal was interested i reached out to that candidate we're very interested we just need to check your reference as soon as we check their references we will be offering here's what berkeley 87 is all about so when we check your records i'm waiting for you to tell me yes and she appreciate it mr jackson thank you both for your remarks we appreciate that very much i just wanted to add that one of the challenges that

and our principals work on this but they do not work all year they finish basically the second week of june as well but we need to explore the amount of time that they work because one of the things we could explore is perhaps having principles work the wealth of june because they are interviewing now and they have to even if they are off it's kind of one of the pork's position because if we wait as mrs travis just said there will not be anything but technically they're off work right so it's it's just something we have to kind of like the school that the holster teaches planning things have changed a little bit so we have to make sure that we have more resources than just one person as you said and we are working

on that but that is something that i think is part of a long-term plan to look at maybe not principals working a 12-month but maybe they work the month of june as an example because this is a hot time but thank you for bringing them thank you and thanks for volunteering [Laughter] thank you okay mr white what are you quit today um wednesday july 6th we are going to do our one-hour power shutdown just to remind the board we are part of an energy program to where if the grid gets overloaded then contact us power down our buildings to conserve power now in order for that to happen we accepted that deal because so how it works is once a year they turn power off for one hour they take measurements depending on the voltage

traps in our buildings our pay scale will be rated on the amount of power during that test so we shut down as much as we can during that one hour now for that next whole year um they can ask us to turn power down now we can say yes or no at the start of the school year we can say no we have school going on the odds are it looks to happen during the summertime so we took that gamble to go ahead and go through with it and uh from the five years however when we've been doing it we've never been has to shut it down once but we made a good deal of money they'll pay us if they don't ask us they send us a check and it's a good deal it's

been a great deal for us and this wednesday is going to do their first this next following year's calculations on that scale doing strong how much water [Music] most of it had been empty for construction there was some furniture and stuff that we stored inside the locker rooms but the construction gilbane did fantastic they had generators helped drain that water out like immediately the team came in and started trying things out uh it all had very quickly responded very very fast so it wasn't much damage most of the concrete drywall dry off yeah the caseworker i don't think but i think that was okay but yeah so that's where that was so that's it and then just get just reminded next on the board parking lot may not be completed yet park on the north

side apart from the garages there's any spots open there and along a lot of the typical summer work performance is preparing for all student devices devices classroom technology a lot of quarters have been made and already made 700 problem books 100 cameras keeping in mind security and authentication specifically now on staff accounts i've done a pretty good job of student accounts but thinking about expanding multi-factor authentication different processes and procedures and how we concord staff to make it more seamless for our users each year simply for more and more online accounts so again they think about people that use it seems to access the accounts and the security [Music] run about two months behind are you anticipating any shortcomings for us to open those up technology yeah we anticipate not receiving materials and therefore we

have continuously access points specifically have been very unpredictable and we're planning on not proceeding so for riley and marley we'll be in okay because we're going to reuse some of the technology which will get us through and the addition isn't going to open at the certain school year so therefore we don't need before the 2016 uh riley sorry sunnyside mcgregor will be more of a challenge if our equipment is not in design because we're going from square footage a much smaller old set of character to a much larger producer so we are having the general mission to keep all the network equipment for anticipated repurposing we then have to make a difference we have contingencies for that as well um to do so please please please don't sit son if we can help you get

to where we need to be good person just keep okay other new business i have none announcements next board meeting july board meet monday july 24th 6 30. alex so you know it's 6 30 all right okay we're going to go into closed session and then inside i hope they're going to join this [Music] you notice that do you have any questions jackson mason o'connell sosa meeting at george thank you
