They were posted on the state gateway site. There's no local. >> Okay. All right. Next would be the renewal of our attorney contract. Uh Mr. Deshawn Wood is the name of our attorney. >> So we have >> no not park. >> That is incorrect. >> So last spring we received a filing from them that he was going to run for something and he was going to have time to be

our attorney anymore. >> So at that point I reached out to um Lewis Campus. We had Susan Trainer and um Grace Lundy and um they agreed that they would just take on everything that we have. So the contract that we have here is from them >> and so they will be our attorney for all things which is really nice because they are strictly education attorneys. So they'll handle everything for us. >> What was his name? Louis >> that's the law firm. >> Yeah. And there are we work with three people within that >> mostly Susan. >> She retired and I've talked to her since she's been retired. She did what, but she can't get out. >> But Grace is a young attorney who's been wonderful. And um Joe was last Joseph. >> They're great. They

respond quickly. >> All right. I would entertain a motion concerning the renewal of the attorney contract. I'll move that we renew the attorney contract with Lewis Capus Attorney Law as present. Second. >> All in favor? I >> opposed. Okay. Uh, next I would like to welcome I should have done this first, but welcome everyone who is here. Uh, if there's anyone who wants to speak to any of to any of the agenda items, please make that known now. Okay. Thank you. Um, Mr. Sh, you want to do the school highlights now? Yeah, I'd like to because we have a basketball player who needs to get whatever. >> Okay. Uh let's go with guess we know who's going first. We >> got a lot of options this month. >> All right. So, sp my thunder with

who it is who's sitting there, but she's here and sitting here. So, this is the time that we always go through and do students of the month. Um, it's always interesting because you probably hear me say this like usually in my office for two things. Something really good, something really bad. There's no really in between because my mobile carts. I'll just sit there and talk and we'll kind of have it out. So, I brought this person in. I was like, "How's it going? What's going on?" No, we're not going to talk about how I'm going to do Swifty now and all these things. So, she's like, "Okay, what's going on?" Well, I said, "Congrats and we need to take a photo." And she goes, "What do you mean?" You are the student of the month

for December for 12th grade. Dakota, come on up here. She knows it's important to show up when people show up for her. So, just here in your uniform, who we got tonight for the game? >> Frankfurt. There you go. And also coming off of Friday, the double header, they got exemplary behavior also right from Rosville. So, if you seen the post, you know, um our Lady Titans have fought all season, you know, may not show up in the win loss come, but the effort is there, the character is there, and that's what every school keeps on saying. So, we actually over um Mr. So, I have to speak on it later too if you need to, but over um the winter break, we had the deli tournament and they got just graves from just someone

at the sports table said, "Hey, I saw how these young ladies acted and it's because of your leadership, your senior leadership. Senior night next week, Wednesday." Uh so, but here's what someone said about you. Dakota is a truly deserving candidate for student of the month. She is patient, caring, and dependable, and a dependable student who continuously goes out of her way to support both teachers and her peers. Whether stepping in to help without being asked or offering encouragement to others, Dakota takes lead through quiet action and genuine kindness. She is actively involved in student activities and constantly promotes the Titan way and the 212, always striving to go one degree above in everything she does. I can note this. So, we had college go week back in the fall and how many scholarship apps did

you get on and do? It was a high number in this finance class, wasn't it? >> Like over 50, 60. Yeah. So, she was already saying, "Hey, how can I take the burden off of my family, take advantage of that college goal week?" And was just crushing it. Dakota also embodies these values through through her determination, dedication, and persistence in her academic, athletic, and personal life. She sets a positive example for those around her and represents our school community with integrity and pride. These qualities will undoubtedly serve her well as she continues her education and transitions into her future professional uh career. Dakota is not only a strong student but also a remarkable role model making her an excellent choice for student of the month. So these are some words on behalf of Mrs. Bindy.

So yeah, it's a wonderful job there. AND HERE YOU HAVE YOUR >> [laughter] >> ALL RIGHT. ALL RIGHT. You want to take a photo real quick? So, get you out of here. >> You can send it to me. Just >> I always feel so short these things. >> All right. Congratulations. It's okay. >> She's walking. Do you want to say anything more about that email that we received over the weekend or from the Del tournament if you did? Just kind of summed it up. >> Yeah. >> All right. The other one here because >> All right. Our next one, 11th grader. She has been a little sick this week. And I was like talking to her. I was like, "Did you see your locker?" Listen, I'm reminding time to go my locker. I'm focusing on

my school stuff. I was like, "No, for some reason you don't go to your doctor combination." So, we work on that. So, but she's been sick for a few weeks or not a few weeks, a few days, but knows the importance of school and he's like, "I need to be here. I need to get here." So, with that said, 113 month, Maria, come on up here. [applause] And so when I brought her in office, you know, we have to like I was like, "So you didn't see the sign hanging up?" She wasn't talking about, but she was really really taken back by this. And these are the moments that are perfect is when you're taken back by it, especially when your teachers do it. So it's not, you know, a contest of who does the

best. It's really, hey, looked after, and sought after. So this is what somebody wrote on your behalf. I am nominating Maria in both jewelry class and pottery class. Maria always went above and beyond in each and every project. It was also incredible to watch her gain skill and confidence when learning how to work in hot class. Is that like torches and stuff, right? It's incredible. Thanks to our maintenance team for that. I saw her many times giving solid and proper advice in hot glass and bead making. So, that's hard getting in there saying, "Hey, I'm going to get I'm going to teach others best by others." And you stepped right in and did that. She's never afraid to try any art medium. In addition to her outstanding artistic skill, she always would greet me with

a smile that's so positive and I see her being kind all the time. I'm so pleased with all of her good choices she is making this school year. In the words, Mrs. Deshan, I am blessed to know her. So, yeah. And who do you have here from Facebook over there? >> Your mom. All right. Good. You guys are crying. Start crying the other. Let's take a photo here with you real quick. So, this is for you. A wonderful job. You're welcome. >> And um keeps going too. She was actually Oh, you had it on earlier today, >> but you don't. >> So, she was actually our winner. Uh we did a schoolwide contest for the homecoming shirt and she won. >> So, that was her design uh for the homecoming shirt that was all over

this uh fall. So, our next one's sitting here. Freshman Cadence, come on up. NOW, [applause] this was a fun conversation walking down the hall, wasn't it? So, we're getting ready for lunch. I'm already going back cuz we did our SAT prep group. So, I'm like, "Hey, I need to go to my office, but we have to talk." And we just started walking and we're talking. I was like, "So, how you doing?" She goes, "I'm getting there." I was like, "What do you mean you're getting there?" And she goes, "This freshman year is kind of hard." And we're talking about stuff and we're like, "Why is that?" She goes, "I don't know. I'm just a perfectionist and if I don't get it here, I don't get it there." I said, "Oh, well, you can add student

of the month to your list." And I thought you had an outof body experience. She's sitting there like, "No." What? So I said, "Yeah." So just add this to your thing. So well welld deserved. So, you know, you only been here just over a semester, but you know, even last year when I'm outside the buses, I'd always see you just be dropping down, saying hi, not knowing me, but just being that positive. And I think that's what really came out. Um, so, um, Kay's always turns her work in on time with answers that are well done. I think that's the key here. Well done as a freshman, especially coming in a biology class. So, uh, this here. So answers that are well done, especially as a freshman. Hey, figuring it out, making sure you're putting

the right words down. She um always takes notes and asks great questions, leads the class by example. She has a positive attitude and is willing to help others. So, not only making sure you become that perfectionist, but being that role model at such a young age for others to follow. She is so caring and is always wanting the best for others. So all I hear on this is you want others to be successful with yourself. That's an amazing quality. How can someone not gravitate to that? How could that not be the two? So who do you have here filming us? >> Okay. Wonderful. Wonderful. So I am so proud that you are now freshman cuz I get to interact with you every day and learn more about you. So wonderful job. Can you name a

song for me there? >> Okay. No. Cry the kid. Way to go. And then just the last one. Um she's not here. Um we But um if you have not seen the Facebook page, the TV is off. I'm not going to turn it back on. Uh just had a photo of it. But the 212 mural, if you have not seen our Facebook page, it is legit. I mean, it's pretty sweet. So, uh, Jordan Preston was our 10th grade student of the month. She did it. She had a small crew. Um, she had a senior helper, Corbin Kins, also, um, Emily Binding helped and they really just got after it. So, we had a sophomore taking charge that got a senior on board and a freshman on board to help uh, you know, paint it. So,

if you have not seen it, just like the indie one, just put yourself in the middle and we're going to be doing videos and stuff like that. So, I just want to make sure she got her shout out live in case she's watching and hearing this. So, that's awesome. >> Thank you. Any other >> congrats guys? >> Very good. Congratulations to all of you. Okay. Next, I would entertain a motion concerning the uh uh regular and consent agendas. >> I'll move that we approve the regular consent agendas as >> second. All in favor? >> I opposed. >> Okay. Uh concerning the financial reports, I'm assuming I believe you've already reviewed those. will be submitted and uh are subject to audit. New business uh item A is continueration of the superintendent's contract renewal. The discussion should

we do it? >> Yes, I suppose. I [snorts] would entertain a motion considering uh concerning the superintendent's contract renewal. >> I'll make the motion for consideration the superintendent contract renewal as presented. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> I oppose. Pass. Mr. Sean, we are very pleased with with you and your uh daily leadership in our corporation. You've dealt with a lot. You deal with small things and you deal with the big things really real. So, we appreciate you very much. >> We do expect to see a little bit difference in physique working out. >> Yeah. I mean, the extra 100,000 you guys gave per year, I think. were being recorded [laughter] and not not. Okay. Next would be consideration of the food to school 2826 2027 annual participation commitment. Mrs. Balden. >> Okay. Um

so this is actually um the same co-op that we've been in for seven years. This is our seventh year in the co-op. Um, again, every year that this comes up, I look out there at the co-ops that are out there and and I've not found one yet that does what ours does. Um, I pull up a report that I have not pulled up for a really long time. And just being with this co-op, we get 1.5% of everything that we that we spend with them back twice a year. So, I just got all those rebates back. So, $4,000 $4,310 off of what we've spent. I haven't found a co-op yet that gets that percentage back, and it is because the co-op is so big. So, um I I would like to say with this co-op,

we have to agree to do um 90% of our purchases through GFS, which it's been that way and they're honestly about the only one now. Stance has gone out of business. So, um and then the other 10% we do um commercial foods. So that's just like random things that if we can't get it from GFS, we go down through all the snacks and stuff and check the pricing at both places and wherever the price is, that's where we get it. Um, and then we'll be staying with the same milk company, the Dairy Farmers of America. Um, [snorts] so yeah, I think this is the best option for us. >> Was that $4,000 the two combined >> since August? the two schools combined. Yeah. >> No, you said we get it twice here. That's just one

out of the two. >> Yes. >> Oh, that's what I meant. >> I'm sorry. I misunderstood you. Yes, we get them. We just got them literally I mean just got them and then we'll get them again at the end of May when they calculated. They also did a thing over the summer which I didn't even mention that um if you um ordered so they took all your cases over the whole year and they did this formula thing and if you they came up with a case number and if you ordered in that case number in the summertime because a lot of schools don't do summer food programs but if you brought in those cases which was 630 for And I'm thinking I don't know where I'm going to store that. But they anything. It was

like um you could get the little things of seasoning, you could get spoons, forks, anything. They gave you a 1% rebate on top of that on all of that. So they're I mean they're just constantly trying to find ways to get us money back. So it's not, you know, they don't just sit idle and whatever we get we get. are constantly trying to find ways to get us more money back. So, yeah. And we did actually make it down to the I mean, I was counting cases because we had stuff everywhere, but we made it. So, we got that extra 1%. So, >> what do we So, a little over $8,500 not being noticed, but what do we do with that money? >> What with what money? Is that rebate money? >> That rebate money,

it it actually the money is not given to us. It's so it's a rebate that comes off of our GFS bill because [clears throat] it once you start they start doing rebates then it changes the way our annual financial report is done. So they which I do that >> but no but don't mess with it. >> Yeah. And and we we've done so good, you know. So, we don't want to mess with it, but it's easier if they just do that as credits off of your GFS bill. >> The only reason I asked is I know um I you know, I checked at the elementary because one of the kids that I didn't get a buddy bag at one time >> and we were I feel like Jake said 30 short. >> And I I

was wondering if maybe we could use some of that money to make sure those kids all have what they need. you >> we can use the pantry for some we talked about in our office trying to figure out how to do that. Um and that the pantry is supported by the teachers giving some from every paycheck and then that we build up that fund pretty well. We spend a lot to give out all those um I guess basically a week's worth of groceries to the families but we still have a lot so we could use some of that. Unfortunately, the school lunch fund is federally funded. So, it's very very strict about transferring it anywhere. There has to be so much approval and things like that before they can transfer money anywhere. [snorts] >> Well,

I understand money about anywhere you [clears throat] >> Okay. Excuse me. I'd entertain a motion for consideration of the food to school 2026 2027 annual participation commitment. I'll make a motion for the consideration of the food to school 2026 27 annual participation commitment. >> All in favor? >> I opposed pass. Letters C and D were going to table for this meeting. return to those place. We need to vote on that. We need to table >> so that we can know that everyone agrees. >> Okay. I would uh entertain a motion concerning tableing C and D. I'll move table items under business C and D for a future meeting. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> I oppose. Pass. Next uh consideration is child abuse prevention curriculum. >> Yes. >> Hi everybody. >> Um so as

you all know the Indiana law and the department of education require that every school K through 12 every year um delivers child abuse prevention programming to their students. Um, so this year we opted as a school to to create our own curriculum. Um, so because of me trying to get all of the other programs up and running this year on my first year back, um, and because those have to be research and evidence based programs or at least research based, I asked for an extension from my building admin that we could um, give me some more time for research and development and deliver those this semester rather than last semester, which is basically fine. So I basically because we are creating our own curriculum this time and because it is a sensitive topic I wanted

to bring it before the board and ask for board approval for this topic um that you would approve how we are planning to go about this and the lessons are involved um because I don't want this to just be a MSoft thing. Um so it is a sensitive topic so I want to make sure we're all on board with what we're doing. Um I know that you all received a proposal last week. There's been um I have developed a little bit since then which is why you can see the logo and the parent letter I can give you a copy. >> So here's the letter I know Mr. Dan that wouldn't mind passing and he looked at one this morning in the office and here's the logo we've come up with. Um, so we've landed

on a title. It's called Operation Spot Training. SP Y standing for safe um, prepared youth. We really want this program to be focused on children feeling prepared, not scared. So we hope that these lessons are going to focus on bolstering students self-worth, agency, and empowerment. Um all the research shows that obviously as we know in chunks and periods of time information. So we've decided to roll this out over one lesson a month for the next semester. So that'll be a total of five lessons that will be delivered during specialists time by me personally. And I think that's the lesson topics are on that parent letter that you see in front of you. I will say that I realized after I printed the letter that I should have edit it to add dates when the lessons

are going to start so parents know when they can opt out. Um, most programs will include an opt out option for parents. Um, instead of making a letter where they would sign their name and send it back. I've done that before and it ended up problematic because parents would just sign thinking it was a signature for participation and they would wonder why their kid was sitting out or they would want their kid not to participate and then we didn't get the letter. So we opted for just QR code and my email address instead. So if they want their child, >> did you did you come up with this? >> Yes. >> I would suggest next year we do this at the beginning of the year, not put dates on it because then that kind of

>> doesn't allow you to change and go with the flow. >> Yes, absolutely. So I'm hoping that next again next semester we will start here. >> Yeah. Awesome. I wonder >> if you said it, I missed it. How long are these lessons? >> Um, so they'll be going during special time. So they'll they'll vary a little bit. Kindergarten will be closer to 30 minutes, whereas the grades will probably be closer to four minutes at a time. >> What grade level is it all through? >> K through four. >> Julie, why [clears throat] why are we saying this program is voluntary? >> That's pretty standard practice. of law, right? >> It is, but all of the ones that you purchase, all the standard programs all say it's voluntary. >> parents have the right to review some

of these things. So, just give them the right. They feel like this is something they agree with. >> So, do you get much of that? >> I've had a couple >> a couple that I, you know, for whatever reason, and then there were a couple that I completely agreed with. We had a couple of students one time that were in the middle of of trials and court proceedings for their own abuse and we decided that it was best not sorry last year with the program that we had we didn't have very many kids opt out or very many parents but we definitely had a few for a variety of reasons and most of the time the parents will reach out kind of give reasons why sometimes they don't but yeah we did we did have

a few last year obviously wasn't the same program, but we do have a couple parents that will kind of justify why maybe the timing for a specific lesson doesn't work well. We know our kids go through a lot, so we try to work with them on that, too. But obviously, uh, Mrs. Herdog's put a ton of time, effort, and energy into this. I can't even like I know she's been working on it and uh she's a real go-getter, but creating a whole program on a topic like this with a uh for a group of students that need it so badly is a huge endeavor and she deserves a lot of credit and I know she has has her own cabinet of of people that she trusts um who she sends info to. scouties on you

can say scouty or my advisory council >> advisory council I call it cat but um yes she's deserves a lot of credit for going out because it is a huge it's a huge topic it's one that's very important and it's one that she's actually tailoring for our community and obviously she's [cough] time effort and energy so she deserves credit for >> what do you do with the the children who opt out I mean it's not like just Well, no. Last year what we did was Mr. Hill, what I obviously I know you weren't here, but Mr. Hill, our behavior specialist, would take them in and do some different things like a behavior lesson that is not like super mandatory, but it could be depending on grade level be grade level appropriateness or sorry, grade level

appropriate. Um, in like kindergarten, it could be like sharing, caring time, doing different things. if it's fourth grade typically. Um, we've even played games with them, teach them how to lose because a lot of, you know, a lot of arguments and fights start just losing a game or just little things like that. We try to do stuff so that they actually get something out of it. But Mr. Hill does an awesome job with that. Obviously, she'll be teaching lessons. So, he would be kind of next up in terms of expertise on that. >> And if the board would like to approve specifically on some of those more topics like the February, March where we get into more sensitive office. Um, then I'd be happy to present that at a time. >> We can approve it

as it is, but then if you make if you make revisions to it, you would just bring them back to us, >> right? So, the flesh out plans. >> There's certainly a level of trust with what you present to our kids. I mean, we have 100% belief in what you're doing. Do parents opt out of each lesson individually or the whole curriculum as a whole? >> That's a great question. And so in the past, the ones we've done before was just a complete opt out because it's just a couple. But on this form that I put a few articles to, I've given them an option if there was one in particular that we wanted to. So >> last year we actually remember that. Um it was a child prevention group in Carmel and they came

in for a day in the high school, middle school and then they went down to the elementary care. >> So I I think this personal approach to somebody they trust and know is better than that. So that's why we ask them to do members. >> I would also love to my my hope and my dream is that this can become an evidence-based program. So I would love to work on data collection so that this could be something because there is kind of of these types of curriculum that are affordable. It would be amazing if we could kind of pioneer this and then put it out there for Indiana schools to use as a as a resource we can if we can get data it's on video. >> Okay. >> All right. I at this point

would entertain a motion for consideration of the child abuse prevention curriculum as presented. >> I'll make a motion for consideration of the child abuse prevention curriculum as presented. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> I oppose. Pass. >> Thank you very much. Next uh is consideration of the Tyler Taylor Hybrid Academy handbook. >> Is that you, Mr. >> Uh Mr. Leon actually put that together. Um Mr. Gleon, myself and uh Miss Ford really generated a lot of this and then Brandon just went back and went to town and created the document. You guys have it in front of you. So basically I think all this and we've talked about is the hybrid academy we know operates within the corporation but also they have very different set of rules or guidelines you know they're on point

they're on um their platforms the academic integrity piece is huge in there reasons to be removed from the hybrid academy if you're not meeting your pace attendance goes off the academic integrity piece and all of this just to have our vision in there our mission so they are still a part of the corporation. So the kids fall under the overall arching that all three buildings use for their discipline given their grade, you know, especially middle and high school. But then specifically within that realm, uh myself, Miss Hord, Mr. Bran, Mr. Moon looked at it, had questions. Does this look right? Just so we have a code to stand behind that. Well, that's for everybody else. What about me? So when I was looking at other schools with the other principles and APS, every school has

their own version of a virtual one when it's gone and not here. But so we just saw just to make it more authentic in the eyes, more um force behind it. We just have our own, you know, 18 pages, but a lot of it's our mission, our statement. We put the graduation pathways in there because that's what we're building towards. So all these different options have to >> so our new ones going forward after it's approved there is a spot that uh you can't really attend fully and be everything until you sign it now that it's approved. But we had verbal from all the parents out there that they know the rules that we've gone through it with your kids already. Day one we went in there and said hey uh you can't really relax

yet. You aren't far enough in your class and had to change quick because we said hey here's our handbook. We've talked about this. So everyone was aware of the rules and the regulations going into it. >> What was how many people did you get? >> So right now we got 13 strong and we just got another one today coming from another school thinking. >> Yep. So the word is out there. Uh we have received at least on the high school side. Um a few phone calls like I wish I would have seen the ad sooner only because we've already paid for blank program. We tried. >> I don't No, no, we all did this together. But they're like, "Hey, we've already done we've already paid for the other online platform. We can't. We just had

to talk today at the school cuz we're always trying to think about stuff." Is that it is hard to switch midyear to a school because we have these things with our friends or calendars or all these things. But, you know, we are well on point. I think if we're getting a kid January, you know, 14th from another school, there's a reason for that. So, we're just building it as we go and working on it. So, our goal still is, you know, we have a set number in mind to really make it work for the 26 27th school year. If you guys have not seen it, I'd walk across the hall after this, check out the room. We have it seated with high-rise tables. If you want to stand, you want to sit low, comfy. They

earn their stuff. The paintings, our new graphics are in there. Like the new logo that we put on there is pretty sweet. So, how many how many of those 13 kids cuz we get half the stipen right >> for the this half year. Yes, we have them. >> How many of those kids have actually come from the outside, not just from inside? >> Four. >> Are we gaining gaining outside? So we gained outside in a sense of kids that were not that kids that were tailor kids but because of reasons were not Taylor kids when count was going through but now since they're back they are part of our part of that now and then I think three kids right new >> we have two that we have two that are >> two and then

we have another one that just came I think from Eastern today. So >> now is probably a dumb question. We get the full styr for the kids at Taylor but decide to go there to >> so it >> Yeah. >> We get the full st. >> So the 85% used to be 85%. >> So it's 100%. So the 85 is gone. So you get 100% of everything. >> That's the state rule now. >> She can't talk. >> So that so that's where >> Yeah. So that's why we wanted to launch this now because you know she she's saying for every school it used to be the 85% if you were virtual. So when we did this you know 3 years ago you were getting only the 85. Now it's not that way. So yeah. So

probably then we had two kids out of the high school transition in there that you know they needed that different environment. So you know we picked up say overall maybe six of that between new accounts. But word is spreading. The phones are ringing more. Miss Shelton's taking calls about stuff, but it has to be working. If middle school from another school is hearing it, it's working its way up there. So, >> more importantly than the 85 or 100% we're getting students and back in school, >> 13 kids are on a graduation pathway that come January 12th were not good. So, that's how I looked at it. >> Y thank you for your efforts. All right. I entertain a motion for consideration of the Tyler Taylor Hybrid Academy handbook. >> I'll make a motion for the

consideration of the Taylor Hybrid Academy handbook as presented. >> All in favor? >> I opposed. Pass. Last but not least is consideration of the Cooko area career center policy. >> Yep. So, this kind of stemmed out uh we are in Mr. Moon really takes the lead with the reps at the career center. So, just talking back and forth. Now, we know, and you guys may not know, there's a pretty big wait list uh for some of these programs to get on to the career center. We want to make sure that our kids are honoring that. We want to make sure that our kids understand that, hey, you went through the application process, you have to do this. Uh by having set rules for the career center helps with because you know, you pay money, you

get money, all these things. So if you're stopping after the first semester like why all these things but really with the attendance uh because you know we're going to trust them to get on the bus and go or if they drive they're going to go but if you're not going for whatever reason or hey I'm way ahead in the class I told my professor I'm not all these things like you're devaluing the program and that's not what we want to do for anybody and just holds them accountable. So now they have set rules and expectations and sign off process they do cuz some of them are half day kids. Well, if you don't follow those, we'll instantly put you in a full day class. So, all of our half day students, um, we had them

all come in, get the new half day rules that you guys approved last month that these are the rules, I signed it, they know. So, now it just holds more value and and accountability with the career center because last thing I want to do is take someone's spot that really wants to be there. So, >> okay. Entertain a motion for consideration of the area career center policy. I'll move that we approve the CO area career center policy as presented. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> Opposed? Pass. >> Mr. Dawn, anything else you'd like to cover? >> Uh, no. I I was down meeting with Jake today doing some fun data stuff. We love that. But they had these cool little things that they're making and it's cool. M Degler's making and I wanted to

bring in a couple of them. They're really cool 3D printing >> that her class does every day. >> So Mrs. Uh, Degler ended up getting a 3D printer that um was a gift and uh she brought it in and thought, "Hey, I might be able to do some fun things with my classes uh or with my class and other third grade classes." She kind of just went into with an open mind. Um and within a couple of weeks in the beginning of school, um she like had found these programs. I know David and his team put some programming on the 3D printer so that it can do a variety of things. um absolutely love it. Um she uses it. At first it started out as hey they were um making things that went along with

their learning whether that be like numbers for like kindergarteners to use maybe like it's like 3 plus three they give them like kindergarteners and they can like mess around with them. Um they were also creating characters u like they had to write their own story and then um they got to create a character to go with that. And so it was just really cool how it's how she's built this program and now she's incorporating other grade levels as well. Um we have type tickets if you've been to like PBIS party which is kind of like you can buy things off the cart. We do fun things like have the football team come over and play football with the kids and you can spend your tickets however you want. And a lot of kids are saving

up their tickets to buy things that her class has created. Um and they've done they've gone outside the box. It's not just like little figurines like she she built this. This is like fidget for kids just to kind of be able just to mess with as they're learning. Um she made one for Kelly and I and we make this sound like all day just sitting here. We're just kind of I mean it is kind of fun. I mean it's just awesome. Um and then she uh we talk about like different um habitats um different environments. Um so they made like frog and like it's not I mean it's a frog but like it also like it like hops. I'm not good at it. kiss me if you go away far. But like it's just fun

stuff like that. And um Mrs. Shrader is jumping on as well. She's a big she's big projects and it's just been a really cool thing. Kids get super excited to be able to go in there and watch it watch it go down. Um, if you ever make it into my building to to watch any of the things we're doing with reading, I would highly suggest you stop by her room because I would say almost every day that thing is going making something. And she just updated it to be able to do like bright brighter and shinier colors, different textures. So, it's just it's just really fun. And our kids love it. All the kids love it. And all the kids talk about it. So, >> apparently that made the most >> I do. I do.

I mean, the fidgets they made they made little gingerbread men. I mean, they've just done all sorts of things uh for just various grade levels and it's just been really cool to see um diving into technology and Mrs. Dler is somebody that teaches when when the bell rings she starts teaching and she doesn't stop and so her being able to kind of like get you know what I mean like the kids get to spend like 10 15 minutes doing this a day and it's well worth it because I think it's been a great learning experience for a lot of different grades and classes that we have >> Jake all all the levels kids get to go to the STEM room at one time or another >> oh the STEM room is different this this program

is act sorry this device is actually in her classroom So, it's going constantly in her classroom. We did get um through um the high ability grant. I think we got approved for another one. We're kind of in the process of that will be in the ST room. Um but yeah, the kids get I mean the classes can go to the Sim room. They just have to sign in and out so we know who's going to be in there so we know when to clean it. Um and you know get things ready and Mrs. Shrader takes that super duper seriously. >> I just the most awesome room. Yeah. >> I mean, um, Malachi is he should be two weeks ahead of where he's at. >> Yeah. >> So, I had to actually go in and I

found >> an engineering kit. >> Yeah. >> For kids 8 to 11. I think I sent you a picture. >> You did. It was awesome. >> And I set it out there and I'm looking at the instructions that he's already put. [laughter] It's like, but it's it's impressive to see those kids cuz they like that stuff. They learn from it. Yeah. >> You know what I'm saying? I mean, so yeah, I think that's great. It's really cool. It's a good way for them to work with their hands, work with technology. And I think that's kind of where we're going anyway, right? More technology. And the kids already know probably 450 too about all the stuff that they have in their >> It is so cool to walk in and see the third graders on the

computer designing and >> Yeah. >> things as part of their learning. >> They they make devices. Kindergarteners work with third graders to like make or maybe Yeah, it was third grade. Make devices to like catch like different turkeys, gingerbread man, all kinds of stuff. That's just what it's all about. So the question is how did National Rubber Duck Day go? We had a lot of tears. A lot of tears for kids that didn't get the rubber ducks. It was it was a bad >> Yeah, there were like 200 some odd and then you know you're only supposed to get one. Some kids took two and there were tears. Why would they start talking to big bucks to talk to? >> Yeah, we did not celebrate our office. >> They saw it. >> Anyone else? >>

We got an early meeting next month as well. >> Probably just over the next couple weeks talk about it and see what you guys are ready for. I think in a couple months we'll probably be ready for some data from the schools, but I just don't think there's anything really relevant yet. Um, there's some We've shared a lot today with Jake, but I I'd like to check. >> Yeah. >> Okay. With that being said, Melinda, do you have anything to add? >> Motion to move. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> I opposed. Past.
