Senator Payano & School Committee Member visit Spark Academy and South Lawrence East Elementary

001So, I came from the Dominican Republic when I was 6 years old, and I grew up here in Lawrence. I went to the Frost School. I went to Lawrence High School, and then I graduated, went to college. So, I did a lot a lot of schooling. I used to be a Lawrence School Committee member, like Ms. Bertolino, and also I was a Lawrence City Councilor, and now I'm State Senator. And one of the things that I am, I am in the Education Committee. And the way to do that is to get your input, because it's really not about just what I think, right? I'm here for you. I'm here for your parents, if you're guardians. We are here, the school committee is here to listen, um to see what is important to you. I hope, I believe, I wish, I'm ready to change the world. Together we can. I imagine. Join us. So, when you're ready, say something. So, I want you guys to keep that in your mind that you guys can do whatever you guys want, as long as you work hard, you read, and educate yourself, and when you guys achieve your dreams, never forget your community and your city.
