An art showcase was held in the library, which displayed the art of talented young artists across Virginia. Guests enjoy an eventful evening celebration with dinner from our culinary team and a live performance from a GCHS concert band. One major fact that she left out probably on purpose was um she was
022an amazing MC for the evening. So, not only did she attend, but she carried herself like a professional um like an adult and it was very refreshing. Uh the second thing I I'll share on our behalf, unless other board members have something to say, uh was the amount of other divisions in our region that asked what she was doing, why she was here. we have a what? When did y'all do that? How did y'all do that? So, she is a walking example of a student um in this role. So, we are forever grateful for that to Miss Harve. >> Go ahead, Miss Pearson. You want me to say something? >> Yeah, I did. >> You allowed. Go ahead. >> Um I just wanted to just reiterate that we were very proud, extremely proud. Um, and
023I think that everybody that's here would have been extremely proud of her and the way that she represented our division. Um, truly first class. Um, everyone was talking about like as Mr. Jesse said, everyone was talking about her and her mannerism as to where she would display from start to finish and it was just an exceptional what um, a tribute to the division, the school, Dr. O James and everyone here is that as far as what um they saw us in a different light. So I just want to reiterate what Mr. Jess said. >> All right. Next up is section 11, our board member reports. What a true team player. And each and every day. I see her every day when she comes from governor school. She has to juggle a lot, but she does it very well. And I just want to say let her know tonight
027in front of everyone that I am very proud of you, Shayla, and you're destined to do great things. >> Thank you. Good afternoon, chairman, vice chairman, other members of the school board, Dr. Parkinson, and everyone who has gathered here. I'd like to uh give an update or what Miss Glimpberry and I consider a success as far as our units of justice uh work that we've done in refocus with um three students who were sent to us from the middle school who had gotten in a serious fight. Um, and what we have observed recently is the young man that was the recipient of the fight and the individuals that fought him, they're all getting along well now. They even come back to visit Refocus together now. So, I think that is something that really shows that
