001Hello, this is Chris Whitley with Hanover County Public Schools with an important message. Well, in the words of Doc Brown, Great Scott, it is going to take more than a time machine built out of a Delorean to get us through this winter storm and back to the future where it is safer and warmer. Inclement weather continues to impact Hanver County, which remains under a winter storm warning from the National Weather Service until 7 p.m. on Monday. The Hanver County administrator has signed a declaration of local emergency and the governor has also declared a state of emergency. Travel conditions are hazardous which is expected to continue due to temperatures that are forecasted to be well below freezing preventing melting on roadways. As a result, Hanver County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26th. Employees use code zero, meaning no one reports to work. This is a systemwide closing. Again, Hanver County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26th. Employees use code zero. We understand this is disruptive and sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to make the best possible decisions for our students and our staff. We hope that sharing this information well in advance is helpful to you as you begin to make the necessary arrangements. In the meantime, we hope you stay safe and warm. Be sure to take good care of each other. Watch out for Principal Strickland. And whatever you do, don't be a biff. [music]
