001Hello, this is Chris Whitley with Hannover County Public Schools with an important message. Well, our rascally raccoon is wearing out his welcome and causing some trouble just like our good friend cousin Eddie and his RV Clark. Yesterday's inclement weather has created hazardous travel conditions on many secondary roadways across handover. While some melting has occurred, our masked bandit is a cottonheaded nitney mugggin and below freezing temperatures are forecasted overnight preventing further melting. However, please be assured that we are in direct communication with their valued partners with the Virginia Department of Transportation who are working hard to assist in the clearing of our roadways and our neighborhoods. As a precaution and to allow our team sufficient time to fully assess the most up-to-date forecast and travel conditions, our facilities, and our buses, Hannover County Public Schools will
002be opening on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, December 10th for all students and all staff. Again, Hannover County Public Schools will be opening on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, December 10th for all students and all staff. Please note, and this is important, a 2-hour delay is intended to allow Hanner County Public School staff additional time to further assess conditions and make a final determination on whether or not to open the school division. We will communicate any additional closings or delays that may be necessary as quickly as possible so you can begin making the necessary arrangements for your student. We understand this is disruptive and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to make the best possible decisions for our students and staff. In the meantime, we hope you stay safe and warm. We hope
003you have a possome evening that is free of dumpster diving. And we look forward to seeing our students and staff once things have finally [clears throat] dried out. [music]
