001Hello, this is Chris Whitley with Hannover County Public Schools. While we would normally call you between 6:00 7 in the morning, we wanted to share this important message with you in advance so you can be well prepared. A winter weather advisory will take effect for Hannover County overnight until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. And our team continues to carefully evaluate conditions. While it might not be the six, seven ines of accumulation that we know some of you are hoping for, snow, mixed precipitation, and below freezing temperatures are forecasted to impact our area. This is expected to create hazardous travel conditions throughout the morning and into the afternoon for our buses, student drivers, staff, and families. As a result, Hanver County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, December 5th. Employees use code one, meaning at the earliest possible time only designated personnel report to work. Please note that any designated employees who may be needed will be contacted directly by their supervisor. Again, Hannver County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, December 5th. Employees use code one. We understand this is disruptive and sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to make the best possible decisions for our students and staff. We realize there is a 67% chance some of you won't like this or don't even get this and we appreciate your patience. In the meantime, stay safe and warm and we hope you enjoy your weekend which is by the way December 6 and 7. And finally, be sure to avoid the renegade ransacking raccoon roaming Hannover County who is hopefully staying warm and [clears throat] dry. [music] No place.
