002um huh what' you say I didn't quit hear that's pretty good for the worst of humanity as you're called by the teacher well anyway it's just a good thing anyway it's a good thing so um lots of good happening that's that's always needs to be pointed out so if I could um any person wishing to address the board may speak at this time and a person wishing to address the board should complete and submit a public comment form to the board president immediately prior to the beginning of the meeting public comment forms are available at each each board meeting and presentations are limited to five minutes again a side note is is that if um we begin to see that um there is lack of public decorum these are the rules and regulations the policy

004two of them are scientists there one's a rocket scien works for Aerospace compan the other is um I just want to also say that [Music] it and I have volunteered at the schools um in the past and rent to students um for the public library um I am very child oriented I care for all children um I was at one board meeting not too long ago um it wasn't the last one before that and I was just amazed at how the vitri coming from some members of the audience were totally out of control and um I didn't understand it because I I never knew that people were like that I might be naive I don't know but I've a lot people pretty old and done lots of things but it was just unbelievable to me
005so I'm glad to see that you have some things in place now if things get out of control because it needs to be stopped you know people need to listen to all sides of the story sorry I'm a little nervous um children rise to our expectations I have threey old and a 5-year-old um grandchildren they don't go to Grandville they go to another District but they both wear masks they don't complain about the mask because um they rise to our expectations we tell them they need to and um it's for the good of all children that they wear these um and they don't complain it's like if you believe that education is important your children will believe that education is important and that's what I always taught my children um another point I wanted to
006make is that losing a child is a nightmare I lost a child several years without um not from a disease it was an accident car accident but it's night mared who l a child and nobody should um think that it's not and to put our children that risk you are risking that happening um one last thing I I was reading about the San Francisco Public Schools and the success that they're having with their students 90% of all 12 through 17 year old children are vaccinated they're um their District requires M um they have had very few incidences of Co since school began and I think that's a a wonderful success the only situations where children were catching the virus was from unvaccinated adults that passed it on to their children excuse me we have a

008everything led to division there was nothing about and for part of the group to stand up here and act like they represent all Educators I can tell you I don't represent all parents mys are different so for certain members of the audience to stand up and presentent as if they represent all Educators in our district they do not I can tell you that I get staff members and contact me personally saying they don't feel comfortable speaking up or speaking out and would I please represent them at these board meetings so I think you all should be a little bit concerned these aren't even teachers or Educators than I know on a friendship or a personal level but they are contacting me because they know me through subing or having my children in the district they
009know I talk at these meetings they're contacting me saying please our opinions because they don't feel comfortable doing it to their Union reps or standing at this meeting and doing that and I think that's problem that's my comment on the meeting what I really wanted to talk about were the social and emotional learning coaches um I don't know much about it so I guess I'm going to tell you what I've researched and what I think it's about and what I would love is for somebody to contct me and maybe correct me where I'm wrong or give me the answers to some of the questions I'm going to I don't think most parents know that social um they teach a minimum of one lesson per month and the monthly topic is established but from what I
010understand each learning coach writes their own lessons and their own curriculum the Grandville has not purchased a curriculum for the soci coaches so that there's not consistency between school and there's not transpar I as a parent can't get that so I don't know what really entails and yet it's been happening in our school for several years I'm not saying I'm against at all I'm just saying that I don't think parents know anything about it I know I consider myself to be pretty involved in the school and I don't know what's going on coaches I'd love to know what are the qualifications for SE coaches do they have to have a Social Work degree do they have a psychology degree what type of qualifications do they have what training do they undergo to be these social
011emotional learning coaches for our children is it mandatory that they attend it is there an approved curriculum because it's my understanding that there's not um if there's Not An approved curriculum is there some type of committee that's going to be formed to help select that curriculum um would there be parents that are able to be on that board um and then I also understand that there are emotional assessments done on our children three times a year and the teachers are asked to submit these um and these evaluations go to our headologist um what happens to that data I've never been contacting parents find out if there's an issue let's say a teacher says this child has anxiety or depressive depress symptoms that they're noticing that gets reported to that school psychologist but are parents getting
012notified with that let's say and this is probably extreme let's say my child gradu he wants to go to West pointer Annapolis and they do pretty thorough are they going to get that file that says oh wait your son um somebody flagged him for anxiety or depression in fourth grade like what is being done with that information that's being collected parents have access to that um and then I guess I my understanding we follow the castle version of social emotional learning um so the information that I got that I feel I believe is my opinion of what's going on with St from Castle so I would love to get a follow up with information on what's happening with sociales thank you thank [Applause] you and Carol Phelps I'm sorry we not accepting conf proud of

014some regulation changed and now the kids could stay involved no regulation change he got a call from Mr bar and his lack of respect for parents his lack of for um this the administration the District of taxpayers and when he is going to be in charge of a dedicated building for his program that's total horse puppy and he needs to be removed Mr hbor it was so great four kids from our school went to the Junior Olympics what a great opportunity you know that put any sort of qualification to get to qualify to go to that like SS like really El like you got to have a skill to go there nothing two of the four girls that went weren't even qualified for our varsity team and I know the coach is really enthusiastic and
015he wants to build the program and you know every opportunity he provides for our children he benefits from financially because parents pay him for it can you say conflict of interest Mrs Palmer you trust the health department because you know those people and know science Adam London's PhD is in I don't know Community organizing or something certainly not medicine and he is most definitely not a biologist isn't it also your personal goal to eliminate the terms he him his she her hers you know it is sence it actually is science that every human being on this planet is either a male or a female no matter what you do you mutilate your body or you take hormones every cell in your body is XX or XY science so if you deny one science but you

027characters of the ones I saw in the audience because eyewitness was a whole bunch of snickering eye rolling jeering cuckoo pachu and heckling whenever anyone spoke with a different Viewpoint and that's was teaching our kids for the one red coat commented on the unruly behavior and called for stricter enforcement of Roberts these Red Coats teachers of our children described those parents as appalling lunatics paranoid for freedom of speech freom of choice notless it's their speech their choice in fact the common theme I heard throughout the night from the red Co fall in line do not question authority do not think for yourself do not have your own opinion do not show emotion and we must stamp out any discourse I know what I don't know what that sounds like to you but it sure doesn't
028sound very American to me once again that's who's teaching our kids all right now on to mask I would it would be me if I didn't touch on that at least a bit so last time we had a handful of red coats and even a couple of board members who argued that we must follow we must Public Health order and Mas our pre students and staff K County Health is the authority proclaims they are the medical experts we're just a lowly School District we cannot possibly second guess their decision what the board in these red coats keep failing to acknowledge the Ken Kenny Health did not intend to issue a public health order at all it wasn't until our nonmedically trained superintendants requested this God forsake day for political reasons or monetary gain I'm not
029sure but their justification was based purely on flawed and cherry-pick observational data how are you all still not getting this and Roger and some of you board members keep blaming the health department and the red Coates keep giving props to the school board for relying on the experts the health department the experts didn't want this the superintendent wanted this I've said this repeatedly for weeks so of others and that is why many of us feel you don't listen and why some of you have lost our trust do you even open your minds to the possibility that any of our ridiculous claims are valid do you ever do your own research or do you only get your information from CNN CDC and Tony Fouch Fouch wants to cancel Christmas again are you GNA that too one
030minute have you even read any of the Foya emails you not have any cause for concern about how this all went down with the Kent County order Roger I asked you at the last meeting did you or did you not support this mandate request or did you oppose it tell us top of all this as of last Thursday all these local Health Department mandates are completely illegal it is literally against the law for local Health departments to issue any orders that require anyone under 18 to wear a face covering it'll be very interesting to see who gets sued first the health departments will refused to resend our unlawful orders but the school districts who continue to follow them and I'm Carol [Music] system on two years now govern and the health department have been issuing
031orders reing students to M under the GU of the following termsand requested which is not a law order which is not a law which is not a law which is not a law compuls which is not a law yet our Michigan legislator and the governor signed Senate bill Senate Bill 82 which in section 1222 part four states any health department that has issued an emergency order under MCL 2453 in an attempt to that 19 will lose funding for essential local public health services this law began affective October first so if the school board does not remove the mass mandates and follows instead orders from the Kent County Health Department that are now in disregard of the law you will be of your own free will Breaking the Law law and order will be returned in

042five minutes thank you [Applause] F all right so my brother outside by police last Frid they informed him that it was going to be pretty much a theater show and the last board meeting if he were to show up to the last board meeting that they were going to drag him out that's interesting I me seeing that we've been doing theater makes sense but insane so the last meeting we had I like word work um know I was standing waiting for my mom use the bathroom and I'm watching this huge group red coat walk in and one of the guys says I don't want to put this out but I will a man right because this is theater because most these people [Music] don't so that I also got a call on Friday from the
043high school nurse and she wanted to inform me that my son was deemed a close contact right and so I asked her when when this was from this was Friday she called me and she said it was a close contact from Monday so are we quarantining the whole football teame like we just had a game the night before and he do practice all week like so what good is this doing but then she informed me that you know the option that I had was he could either a stay at home and do the quarantine until October 8th do his work online or B he could stay at school and monitor symptoms I call me or C I could go get on a test and come you know show it's negative not going to happen but
044but she also said that if he was fully vaccinated that he wouldn't have to quarantine right which very interesting because I've gone on the CBC website and gone through a lot of their you know because this is where we're going from right C listening to it specifically says people who get vaccine breakthrough infections can be contagious so why do the kids that have the back why don't they have to quarantine that doesn't make sense what does make sense is that that's a coion for these children to get the vaccine so they don't have to deal with all of this oh you can't do this you can't do that you know if you're vast you could still stay no masks no quarantine yet they can still spread it again nothing about any of this makes any

067have been admitted to the hospital in the last week and yes the numbers are bigger in our our hospitals for older people but you go to Helen deos children's hospital and in the last week last week there were four this week there's a seven to that's not ICU they list ICU separately so some of those four could still be in there yet okay then I went into the CDC website and I went through for the whole last year that age group of our children kindergarten or pre kindergarten up to sixth grade there is less than a point 1% that have died in that age group of our children so when you look at the statistics and it even says the um let me read what the CDC says on this one about children getting it
