001All right. >> Good evening everyone. This meeting is a meeting of the board of education in public for the purpose of conducting the school district's business and it's not to be considered a public community meeting. The ag the agenda reserves two periods for public participation and those wishing to receive a personal response from the board or superintendent must complete a public comment form available at the meeting entrance or on our website. Upon request to the superintendent, the district shall make reasonable accommodation for a person with disabilities to be able to participate in this meeting. Can you please call the role? >> Mr. here. >> Here >> uh we have meeting minutes in our packet from our February 9th and February 19th. >> I'll move that the board of education approve the attached meeting minutes February
0029th and 19th, 2026 as presented. I'll second. >> We have a motion and a second. Any discussion? All those in favor of approving the meeting minutes from the 9th and the 19th as presented, please say I. I. >> Any opposed? >> Board policy provides that the superintendent of schools shall prepare an agenda for all board meetings as directed by the president of the board of education. Do I have a question? >> Go ahead. >> I move that the board of education approve the agenda as presented. >> I'll second that. >> We have a motion to second. Any discussion? >> Yes. Past tense civil interviews. Those are not the agenda. >> Sorry. Please say I. >> I. Any opposed? All right. We are starting tonight with school presentations. And tonight is Chris's last meeting. Dr. Christopher
003Timis will be retiring. I'm sorry. >> I looked down so I didn't see it. Will will be retiring February 28th, 2026. During his 30-year career in education, Dr. Tennis has served multiple communities in a variety of roles. PAR educator, teacher, coach, curriculum director, high school principal, and superintendent. Before coming to Dexter, he led Adrian Schools as superintendent for 5 years. He is retiring after 13 years at Dexter's home. On February 25th from 3:30 to 5, we will be holding a community openhouse at the Creek Side Cafeteria so that students, staff, friends, and neighbors could stop by to give their well wishes. This evening, the board will be recognizing his service as part of the official record. Tonight, we have Georgia Frost here, and we're gonna start with her from uh Representative Debbie Dinkle's office. >>
004That would be wonderful if you could. And then you just push the button till the red light on the top. Good to go. Perfect. Good to go. Looks like it worked. Um, yes. Hi everyone. My name is Georgia Frost. I worked with Congressman Debbie Digle in her Ann Arbor office in Michigan. I am also a Dexter High School grad in 2018. So, uh, Dr. Tim started in the middle of my high school career. And, um, I just on a personal note wanted to say that I have had, um, many teachers, counselors, other professionals from Dexter interface with me and encourage me as a student leader. I was very involved in National Honor Society. I was a huge nerd when I was at Dexter and I feel like Dr. Tims was one of very very few
005people who really believed in me and did not patronize me in trying to, you know, congratulate me on my successes in school. Um, and he really has had an impact on me. So, I'm very glad to be here with something from my day job as well. Um, and this is something that several months ago we also presented to Dig Blondie upon his retirement. And I won't go through a lot of the biographical information that's included in this, but this is what's called the congressional record statement. It is a framed copy of a floor speech given by Congresswoman Dingle. Um, it is a part of the official congressional record congratulating Dr. to us on his retirement and um it just has some biographical information from his experiences a lot of which were already said by Miss
006Brutderly um but we just wanted to make sure that we provided a free copy to you as well and honored you for your years of service and specifically your service to Texas. So congratulations very much on your retirement. Thank you for >> Thank you so much for being here and to Representative Dingle's office for being so aware of what we have going on here in Dexter. Um, I would like to say a few things next. Um, Chris, you have with a hopeful tone of voice offered to be fired a number of times uh through the years we've worked together on the board and I've declined the offer every time, but if you're sure you're ready, we are prepared to accept your retirement as of this weekend. Um, on behalf of the boards of education, past
007and present, that you have worked with here in Dexter, and as parents of students who benefited from your district leadership, we want to thank you for the countless hours and brain cells that you have used to champion learning in our district. As superintendent, you have been someone the board could count on for timely updates, clear communication, and a general willingness to hop on the phone and answer questions. While none of us were part of the board that hired you, we know that they saw your creativity, innovation, and energetic spirit and wanted to bring that here to the students of Dexter. Our own children have been re recipients of that district evolution. Our community has been fortunate to have your leadership for the past 13 years. With your steady guidance and calm demeanor, we have worked
008through possibilities, explored new ideas, expanded programming, enlarged the district footprint, and navigated world circumstances. We have passed bonds, advocated for public education with legislators, and engaged the community in discussions of big questions. Education is both valued and deeply personal for the families in our community. As a board, we know that you have worked on behalf of all kids and for each and every individual student. We have had the privilege of seeing the behind-the-scenes work of this district, and we are proud of the work being done here. On a personal note, before my time on the board, I was a part of larger district focus groups, community engagement around the strategic plan, and a member of excellence for Dexter students that raised money for academic programming for 5 years before merging operations with the Educational Foundation
009of Dexter. You were a part of all of these initiatives, and your dedication to growing opportunity in this district is what inspired me to run for the court and to be elected. Something which was never on my life bingo card. Chris, there are Dexter students all over this country, on this board, and about to take over the district. Thank you for the work you have done to develop, educate, and inspire the students, the board, and the community during your time here as superintendent. And we have a token of our >> so that you can remember us. Face the board. Face out here. Is this all? Is there anyone else who wants to take a minute? >> I mean, thank you. I mean you're when I joined the board everything was so smooth and we've had
010some rocky tes to navigate and you definitely have So thank you so much for everything and I do wish you great future time still so young and uh you know I'm going to give you your lovely wife that she'll actually get to see you at home more often. So that may be a blessing at a curse but we will have our work done. Um, but thank you. Thank you for, you know, making Dexter stable and consistent. That is that's really what kids need is stability and consistency not only in their education and their their day-to-day lives. We really have brought that to pass it along to Ryan. >> Same thing. Thank you. Look at the records in the record. That's where you came out here. That was just why schools different ways important most everyone
011graduates over there. Thanks What about you step up service sitting on a board career just trying to make sure every student and we've done it. It's been great to see every kid walk across this um worked for you know 60 board members supervised I think 100 administrators teachers it's been a great and honestly it's really unique how I probably board had well district had run group of seven superintendent about 10 years and they had signed they were gonna just do a really targeted search one candidate. I didn't know I was children. Um, and I had said no multiple times. And then Larry showed up to my office in a told me why I need to go to school and a great move has a board in the district to watch everything that happens. Great board.
012right down here and uh great staff and the team is awesome and everybody everything's in good hands. It's going to be exciting to see where it goes. Thank you. >> Thank you very much. We look forward to just um Okay. So that was really I I you if you all know I you know I'm car so that little emotional Albert might bring it out of me too but thank you it's so gentleman. Um so Chris and I met during his initial interview so that's how we we got together. Um it was a tough it was a really tough environment. Health was under attack from many angles. There were charter schools. Um there's race to the top. There's the measurement against standardized testing there. They were all raising their hands to get the piece of the
013side um in terms of dollars spent on public education. And I know a few of you were in the room that day. We wanted to shake things up. We're heavily invested in the concept of raising funds so that classroom size could be decreased on the focus on standardized testing could be replaced by focus on full child and mental health. We are just beginning to deal with the iPhone um and how much has changed over the years and I know that Chris too wanted to shake things up. So over his time here, our district has grown tremendously. We have had at least two successful villages. I know there are more. Um all of our renewals have passed. We have grown the offerings um tremendously. I would now say that we are among the top in the
014state from high school graduation rates, college acceptance rates, grad program, depth of offerings, etc. I'm really looking forward to watching CT Village go into place and also watching as the bond funds are put into place. I also appreciate your investment in people and in making sure that we're in a good position with the passing of the hell to Ryan. Um the transition from Sharon to Christie and um the the transition in administrative staff. It's been excellent. Um we have great depth in our staff and that's a real testament to your leadership. I wish you well in retirement but if your posts on LinkedIn have any indication of the future, I have a feeling we'll be seeing you around. I look forward to that. And in the meantime, take some time off, enjoy your family, and
015have time moving. >> Yeah. >> And I haven't been on the board that long. I just took the position in January, but we did move to this um district in 2012. Moved because of the reputation of the schools. So I think when you look for a leader I think you are like the definition of a leader that this community wanted that this community needed. Um and I say that in a leadership sense because not only um as a superintendent where you focus on students like all students academic band students sports students special education that is what every decision that you made drove you. But the same respect and leadership that you used in the educational side with our students, you used with your staff. It what struck me when I I came on the board
016was your knowledge of this district, everything. I feel like you could step in and run the the buses, all of the buses, those but those those employees that drive the bus and work in the bus department just the way that you spoke about them and cared about them. That is a true leader. the empathy that you show, the knowledge that you have, and on behalf of all of our students, all of the staff, and the community, thank you. Thank you for 13 years. Thank you for getting us where we are, and we really are truly going to miss you as a person and as a leader. >> Say thank you for everything you've done, especially students. um before student reply to know what your job and say and relate to the student has not so
017much for us as much as we may not realize that every day we come to a school that you have helped manage and maintain and build this amazing environment for us um especially I'm very grateful for how we have been to having your representatives on the board I think FBI I feel that you always encouraged us encouraged us to stay informed of your topics just ask questions. I know I asked a ton of questions during the passing of the bond. I didn't always know what was going on, but you always need to answer them and help stay informed. And again, you just always encourage us to use our voices, share the voices, perspectives of the students to make sure heard always like this. You were the one that told me, Lloyd, what do you think
018about this story for your team on this that never happened and that confidence that you have I was able to spread countless students on so many different issues and now they are a best I mean we're one of the best districts in the state really thanks to you and I mean the connection you have with students is there's not a single kid back that I know of that is scared that they all adore Yeah. I mean, the jokes you brought when Snow Day was in the air. I mean, sometimes kids were upset it wasn't snow day, but like I like the the lunchroom conversation of man, you really fun guy. And it's like I remember in fourth grade you had to cut down a bunch of trees and you came into my class and were
019like I was like even then I was like, "Okay, this guy knows what he's talking about." I mean, I I seriously I truly think every student not only let students know their voice matters pass that on you such a student extra club and it's just every studentology band doesn't matter what they just you cannot So, good luck. Miss you guys. I'll drive by. >> Thank you very much. We are glad to have you here and get to celebrate tonight. um and uh Wednesday with the community. All right, but we'll get back and and get this meeting going for you. Um next up, we have a new trustee to also celebrate name. Um on February 19th, the board of education interviewed candidates for the seat opened by R Brian Arnold's resignation and we selected David Pisano.
020This evening we will conduct the ceremonial oath of office and we welcome you to the floor. So >> got a script for you. I first started doing you solemnly swear I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this constitution of this state and that I will faithfully discharge the duties and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of school trustee of the office of school trustee of the Dexter Community School District. Best of luck of the Dexter Community School District to the best of my ability. >> All right, you were already official. Thank you. >> Congratulations. We welcome you here. >> Great. >> Absolutely. Yeah, >> so I I just want to
021now that I you know official official just add one more thing Dr. You know, a lot of what is talked about over your retirement is all the things you did over the past 13 years at Dexter and and many years before that. I think, you know, from my perspective having sat in the seat for about five seconds. Um, I also want to emphasize the impact of what you of all the things that you've done that will continue on, which is a big part of why I wanted to be in this seat. I think, you know, you've obviously created an environment and a and um you know, a culture here where there's so much opportunity, so many things to do. Um you know, the bond is one obvious example that uh you know, your leadership led
022to, but also the gentleman on your left. I think it's a a true testament to your leadership. Um also in terms of the the people that you brought in and that we weren't in a position, you know, that we were in when we were looking for you 13 years ago. We had lots of great candidates internally and um I think it's fair to say that all the work you've done will continue to uh pay dividends and show this district. Appreciate it. >> Absolutely. >> Thank you. >> Okay, we are up to our first opportunity for public participation. Um we have two opportunities for public participation in this meeting and this first one we ask people to keep their comments to five minutes. Is there anyone who would like to speak to the board tonight? >>
023Seeing no one running up, we will move to administrative and board updates starting with the superintendent and assistant superintendent. >> Want to thank years ago working in back office. I walk in there and I'm like, I hear you're good with websites. Ours is really, really, really bad. If anybody remembers that um and talked her into helping build a website, then Bourbach retired was awesome. And shifted the entire role. focus on communication and make sure we support it to work with the board but really to make sure as I always say make it look like we know what it took I don't know how many months early on to figure out just to get a list of what the activities were the next it was so easy but really it was folks work and all the
024communications we did drastic get rid of >> that office is still there. >> Thank you everyone. >> Thank you. Uh I'll put on my report with two items I think are really nice testament reflection of Chris and Chris's leadership. The first is this upcoming Monday uh we can say we have our career fair high school that's been a full board of education as well as Dr. Jameson uh through individuals like Caitlyn Nelson and Mel Williams put together just an incredible day over 125 community members and presenters coming in. They have so many and not enough spaces that they're having to do different kinds of configurations this year. So they'll have panel discussions, breakout spaces. Uh but just a really wonderful day thinking about the next generation of dread entering workforce. Uh so a bowl of
025resistance is something that I think really will be a nice testament reflection of his leadership. This last week we had scheduling night at Mil Creek Middle School. An opportunity for families to come in and learn a little bit about 17th grade programming as well as opportunity to start their students for next year. Along with that, our high school team has had the opportunity to work with students to figure out priorities of schedules for next year. Our admin team and counselors currently empower school working on creating master schedule for next year. So, like every year, we are doing our best to get out ahead of it. We really together. Uh on the other end of our continuum here, the deck welcome young fiveart families for uh information night and this is actually the second part of
026information night which is an open house and opportunity to explore the building. Uh there are hundreds of families there. Some brought their students, others didn't. Uh but just a really great time for them to walk and explore the building. They were really excited about that. The week ended with steam night where there were hundreds of kids and tons of NHS volunteers. It was just incredible. Uh this is one of our favorite events of the year and it's really great for kids with their hands involved in science. Our SRO officer Ward was there teaching kids how to take fingerprints. It was just a really great a lot of community members participation across the Friday at the deck. Uh they had the little victorthon which is a an offshoot of dance marathon at the University of Michigan.
027Uh dance marathon University of Michigan is a nonprofit sweet brand organization that works to raise funds awareness at CS hospital. If it sounds like I've said that before is because I was in so I was involved for four years but in college so definitely something near and dear to my heart. Uh they have started to do many dance marathons little they come to elementaryaries they teach kids the line dance which is what they do not in my day it was a 30-hour dancing event. Now it's 24 hours. We we made sure to remind them that 30 was much tougher, but the students up next stepped up and they were able to fund raise for $3,000. Definitely the day of school was also last Friday. So, it was quite the busy fun day. Uh if you
028were around, you probably saw showing off collection 400. If you happen to have popped into the deck today, you may have seen a lot of students dressed up as Dalmatians as the first. Uh Saturday night, community education ran their family prom. wonderful event. We had lots of family members and young students involved. He was at the high school. He had a terrific job and a lot of fun had by Paul. Uh and finally, I said I went to book end with another kind of tribute to Dr. Timus. Uh you may have seen an M article about graduation rates across the state of Michigan. Dexter again ranked top 20 across the state of Michigan. When you take into account districts that are graduating 200 or more students per year, we were top 10. So 98 to
02999% of students graduates in the process graduate and preparing them for life. Uh, so just a really nice honor, really nice testament to Chris and wonderful career. I'm glad that many of you acknowledge some of the terrific things. You were talking about Chris's leadership and his intelligence. And I I always have said this to Chris and I I say it to other folks too, but I say it to his face. I don't say by fact. He's a really difficult guy to work for. And he's a really difficult guy to work for because he's so smart. He honestly can do everyone's job in the organization probably better than we could do, which makes it really challenging. Uh, and so Chris has been an incredible mentor to so many of us. Uh, we will miss him greatly.
030I know that we are going to have to put our heads together to try to make up for the loss of institutional knowledge, but we really appreciate everything Chris has done. Uh, and finally, and this was noted as well by another board member, his empathy. Uh, Chris is one of the most empathetic individuals that you will have a chance to drive. If you got a chance to work closely with him, you see that side, know that with him. uh despite what he may want, Sky will do anything for kids. He really cares people just incredible, incredible person. We'll miss him at this table. We're lucky you'll still be in the community. We'll still be able to get a hold of you from time to time. But thank you very >> Thank you. We'll plan better
031in the future. >> Thank you uh Ryan for the great list of updates and all those happy events around the district. And I I completely agree that uh there are so many things, Chris, that are going to live long after you are here because you got started. So, we'll continue to remember that. Um, my update is really very boring and and bus related. Um, board members, I just want to note for your calendars, I thought that a flyer would have gone out by now, but on Thursday, March 12th at 7 p.m. at the WISD, um, that should be the annual professional development program that um is hosted by the WISD. This year it is targeting AI and specifically um sort of board focused governance type things not what AI is or how you use it
032or or what can be done. Um the programming we specifically ask for um to make it really relevant from a governance standpoint. So I am really hopeful that flyer gets to you but just please note it for your calendar for now. Uh 700 p.m. on Thursday, March 12th at the WISD and I'll send out I can send out an email. I just wanted you to note it for your um personal calendar. Also, with the addition of a new trustee, I will be making some subtle shifts to committees. So, if anyone has anything that they want me to factor in there, please just shoot me an email so that I can have that updated for the next board meeting. And with that, I will turn it over to our student representatives. If you guys don't mind
033uh hitting the microphone on, that'd be great. So at the high school um drama did not have much of a break after Sus. They've already started working on their next production which is singing in the rain. Um you can actually look on Instagram. They have posted the cast list and the tech list so you can see who's playing the different characters, who's heading, all the things that go behind um backstage as well. Um this week the group four project is happening. Um that project is basically a combination called IV sciences and those who are in the IV sciences to do a collaborative project that is some type of outreach in the community. So um someone might even email the board about something. So keep an eye out for that. Um if you see any IB
034students stressing it's because there are a lot of IAS too. Um I think I have three or four and then also the IO's are coming up. So, if you see someone speaking Spanish or French, I'm pretty sure they're just practicing. Um, so yeah, it's definitely a busy season for academics and we're just trying to keep working hard and make our way to springtime and for me to graduation. Um, as well today there was um the principal tournament. It's nice to see that club up and running again, people getting involved and kind of bringing it back to Dexter. So, it's great to see what clubs can revive themselves. Um, and then NHS is also starting up SAT tutoring. So, it's a great resources resource for students who might not have older siblings or people to give
035them some advice. So, it's just a great opportunity for some of the juniors. Um, and as Mr. Brutder touched on, I would like to say I'm very grateful for the admin addressing schedules. I had a chance to talk with Mrs. curvy and it's great to see that they're trying to directly address the problems that happened last year and just from a student perspective it's nice to see that um the problems that we faced are directly being um confronted and trying to be fixed. That's great. >> Yeah, we have the busiest three-week stretch at Dexter High School I think of the year besides homecoming coming up this week. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, the Michigan youth and government Dexter delegation. I think we have about 54 kids going this year. We'll head off the landscape to
036simulate mock legislation or national issues for there's a whole bunch of things. Um and has all that information but it's featuring democracy to the next generation. I will be attending so clear. Um yeah, also this weekend our forensic team will have a tournament over in Grass Lake. Oi has been excelling as usual. They will have the regional championship on Wednesday at 7 p.m. MSBA festival will be hosted at Dexter High School March 6th. They will have all sorts of bands orchestras performing throughout the state um all day which will be very exciting. I know we have a bunch of Dexter volunteers running that. Uh the next day the forensics team is hosting a tournament at Dexter High School. Um again teams from all across the state will come and compete. The same day is winter
037formal at Dexter High School. So, we will balance the forensic tournament. I believe there's also a will be a community orchestra concert in the CPA that day. Very busy day at Dexter High School March 7th, but the winter formal. It is nice to see that dance continue to happen. Um I know it was very wellreceived last year. Polar Plunge is coming up. Um fundraising has started. They're fourth hour classes. Um believe we are off to a very good start on there. And speaking of NHS, applications went out to the sophomore class and the junior class. We've been there a lot. Um and we had anformational thing orformational meeting this morning like 10 people should. It's okay. Um yeah, and another update on our line of communication, the student body, we won't be here to the
038government, but we are getting um we're gonna try and get a video up, but we will absolutely get a presentation up during the tax school advisory period. Um including the form that I sent to you and He was I said you right. Um yeah, we'll see the student opinion on certain things and I believe next meeting we'll have a presentation just fully describing form seeing student response we filter through actual responses and you know making sure we present that to you. We'll try and get the video to you guys too. Great. That's all I have. >> That's great. Thank you very much. We appreciate the update. All right, we are moving on to consent items. Um, this evening we have um a request for extended leave, resignation, and our January budget report. Do I have
039a motion? >> Board of Education approved it by >> We have a motion and a second. Any discussion? All those in favor of approving the consent items involved, please say I. >> I. >> Any opposed? All right, moving on to our action items. First up is the Fieldhouse structural steel and pre-engineered metal building. Our packet includes a bid summary and recommendation from Granger regarding bid package 2. Uh these were discussed by the facility committee on February 19th, 2026. Granger has recommended that EDAC Corporation's bid scope be separated into two contracts, one for the materials and the other for label or labeling. Um and all the information is in our packet. Can I get a motion? >> 1 mill84,000 contract. >> Second. Have a motion and a second. Um discussion. We have um This is the
040actual structural scale for the building. It's the first of series and just jokingly I used to be asked all the time how long it was staying on tonight. Well, and I I'll note that there are there's the breakdown of the bids in there. So, you can see that the one that you recommended is the lowest. And I'm glad to see that we have six different. That's fantastic. Thank you for that. >> We have great. >> Are there are there questions from the board? I know that the facilities committee had a chance to look over all of this and discuss um discuss the uh bid and the contracts in detail. >> What's the contingency? >> Yeah, we have for construction projects managed by us, we have contingency built into the budget overall. So it's not on
041a per project or per contract basis like you do with your direct contracts discuss different school district issue with it still have the discussion in There's a problem. So it should be fine. We keep And we appreciated Ranger's creativity to help us be able to um feel confident in uh accepting the are here which saves the district quite a bit of money. >> Cool. Any other questions on this specific bid or should we move to vote on this one? >> Okay. So, roll call vote please. >> Mr. Hi >> I >> Okay. Um we have a second motion for the second part of the contract. education board to contract number two laboration for $1,825,000 $825,68 I'll have a motion and second discussion so just to be clear the numbers are falling page. >> Correct. >>
042That's correct. >> Part of it is building. >> Any other questions? Okay. Can we do a roll call vote, please? >> I >> All right, moving on to the 27th L, letters of agreement. Congratulations. I >> took it off. Um, state school aid act section 27L allocated funds to be used to increase compensation for educators. The statute defines educator broadly to include not only teachers but also pair professionals, counselors, bus drivers, and other school staff who support student learning and district operations. This evening's packet includes letters of agreement regarding distribution of these funds to all bargaining groups as well as a memorandum regarding individual contract and non-affiliated employees. Can they please get a motion? >> I'll move that the board of education approve the attached letters of agreement the DAA DEA VESA and the WWDA
043as well as the memorandum individual contract. >> Second. >> We have a motion and a second discussion. I'm going to turn it over to our superintendent team to provide a little bit of context. I bow out of this one. >> There's been a really nice collaborative process and the district lot of Barb Leonard just days here and other leaders that were able to work together to figure this out in a very expert fashion. Everyone wanted everyone to get employment. So it was very important to them that all employees no matter what their pay rate were able to get similar dollar. So the LAS that they have. >> So just to be really clear all the unions are happy with the arrangement. Thank you. Any other questions? All right, let's do a roll call vote. >>
044I >> All right, we do not have any discussion items planned this evening. So, this is our second opportunity for public participation. Is there anyone who would like to address the board tonight? Sure. right over there. If you could just push and hold that button till the light turns red, we'll be a little better. Thank you so much. >> Good evening, David Morris. That's my first time one of these meetings, so excuse my ignorance. I have a student at um Anchor Began. Um, I'd like to comment on the system there, the what I perceive to be a safety issue at the sort of pickup and drop off of um, Beacon and Anchor. Uh, I've talked to the city council about this and it's been we've been working on it and I think I acknowledge that
045there have been steps taken, but um I guess the brunt of my issue or the the issue I believe to be is that politeness on the road um has taken precedent precedence over the rules of the road and effectively I if we're all to uh to visualize on Dan Howie the left turn out of Beacon and the left turn into Beacon are quite blind. I mean the left turn out specifically the blind left turn and often when things get backed up on the right turn in where we have the um the drop off point. Um cars are typically waving in left turns that don't have the right away or waving in people to turn left onto Dan Hoey. And that politeness I think is really a problem. And um the system that we currently have
046kind of has mandated that politeness just to keep it working. And um so I'd like to raise bring that to the um board's attention. The city has a um has a grant with uh OM to do a traffic count and they're currently doing that. I think they're they're starting it or they have started it. And um but I think it's a joint venture, it truly is. And and again, I acknowledge that maybe worse than keeping the system is changing the system halfway through a school year where um parents who don't get emails or don't care to be involved will continue to do what was told to them over the summer. And so I acknowledge it's a big big issue for engineers and people much brighter than I am, but um just wanted to raise that
047to the board's attention and answer any questions you might have. >> Thank you. We appreciate that. Um we don't engage back and forth at these board meetings specifically, but if you could possibly fill out one of those forms in the back of your contact information, uh we will get in touch with you. Okay. Thank you so much for being here. >> Thank you. Sorry for the I know this came up just as you walked in the room so I the timing was not excellent for you but thank you for being here. Okay. Um we are now to board comments. Is there anyone who would like to make comments tonight? >> A couple weeks ago we had talk about security package. I want to thank uh everybody here superintendent Jerry and they uh yeah my participated
048I apologize uh we reviewed uh had a good wasn't a participation package security plan and all the stuff that were asked has to be done on the last review the last risk assessment what still has to be done but more importantly with the bond how we're going to make sure stuff that needs to be done is done and stuff just get this constant still on time architects will come in and they put stuff forget stuff there. So we went through a bunch of the items all planned. There are some stuff to do more of a policy issue and they took note of that or the administration schools have to kind of make sure what knowledge I feel pretty confident that on all these bond projects that they already measures and not forget to keep the
049standards at put in place for the risk assessment. That's >> thanks for following up and and sharing your support. uh of the plan. Appreciate that followup. Anyone else? Okay. Um we do have information items in our packet. We have conflict of interest forms for handed fund. Please sign it tonight and return it to hope with there are minutes from the sex advisory board's uh February 4th meeting. And we have nice job notes. And I do just want to say congratulations to all of the staff of Exer. the the numbers of nice job notes are absolutely staggering. We have just amazing people who have um who have enough excitement over what they're doing that people fill out notes and send them so that the board can recognize how well the staff is doing in this district.
050So it is truly amazing to see members and we appreciate it. Um we do not have a close session tonight. So with that we will adjourn and this is for hope. Thank you everyone for being here tonight.
