I'm sorry. All right, we're going to start our meeting. 601. Everyone stand for the pledge. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Our district mission statement is in the partnership with the communities. The mission of the Delbert Glenn and Felton School District is to educate individuals in an environment of trust and respect so they become self-directed, responsible, lifelong learners. Uh David is ill tonight, so we have um and Angela is absent. So we have all the other board members present. Uh Shannon and we have Brooke. So wait, okay. Um so on to 5 point uh five we have public comments and rebel recognition. We have two public comments. Uh just
a reminder uh to those speaking tonight uh you have five minutes and we won't be able to dialogue with you. So I apologize. Thank you for your um willingness to come and speak. First uh we have Eden Mercil and Brooklyn. Welcome. Just whenever you're ready, whenever you're ready. Good evening, school board members. How many of you watch Super Bowl 60, the halftime show this year? Well, at the beginning of that show says, and how many of you understood what that meant? Well, it was bad known saying that he was there performing at the Super Bowl because he never gave up on himself. He always believed in himself and you should believe in yourself, too. But that was a message that was missed by millions of Americans due to a lack of Spanish and foreign language
education. Today, we will be advocating for the foreign language programs at DGF High School and why we should keep them. Speaking with me today is Aiden Mercel. My name is Brooklyn. I'm a 10th grade student here at DJF High School and I've taken two years of Spanish education here at the high school. There are many reasons why foreign language is extremely important. Personal growth or for me connecting with my colonian aunt um Spanish I've used it all over the world and there's physical benefits like a sharper memory and cognitive benefits. There's popular media and foreign language. Hundreds and thousands of Spanish and German speakers all over Minnesota, the Midwest and the whole country. many future opportunities that could happen due to us learning languages and more. But today I will be focusing on the college
colleges and degrees that children will be unable to receive due to cutting foreign language programs at DJF high school. Many of you may not know this, but I was attend Ohio State University after high school. And on the undergraduate admissions page of the Ohio State University's website, specifically under the in article, it states that two units of the same foreign language are required to get accepted and recommended. In fact, students who surpass the minimum amount of foreign language classes receive additional considerations. To quote the website, success in these areas is a strong indicator of one's potential to succeed in college. Therefore, students exceeding the minimum curriculum in these subjects are given additional consideration. Most colleges in the United States require two years of one foreign language, including colleges that DGF students are likely to attend,
such as the University of Michigan or the University of Minnesota. If colleges don't require these foreign languages, they're highly recommended like the University of North Dakota and North Dakota State University. And many colleges require these foreign languages to be taken in college if not taken in high school like at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Certain degrees such as a bachelor's in arts or global studies require these foreign languages no matter the colleg's requirements such as the case at University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, South Dakota State University, and many other colleges across the United States. To take away these foreign language classes is to deny students certain degrees and colleges. I got this information from the websites of the University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota,
and South Dakota State University. So, I along with over 100 other DJ students wish for you to rethink your decision of cutting foreign language programs at DJ. Thank you for your time. And as of Monday last week, officials hung up in the high school on our foreign language store or Miss Roberts. Over the course of one week, that high school student petition has collected 100 signatures and in one day without being hung up, without any prior knowledge, the middle school version of said petition achieved 20 signatures. If the school board has mission is to educate our DGF students in the best manner possible, then why should we not educate them about them? That is clearly their goal and attention intention to learn to be educated and to be ready. >> Thank you for coming. >>
Next we have Sam Harest. Sorry if I said that wrong. You said it right. Not usually very good at that. Good evening staff members. My name is Sam Arbur and I am a ninth grader here at PGF High School. You may or may not have seen me in speech or knowledgeable before, but I am a freshman here at FGF. Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to learn a language. For as long as I can remember, I've gazed bondly at translation handbooks in any library. you supposed to say reading them of course but in the hopes that I could learn a language. I've always yearned for that connection for that relationship with something outside of English bounds. I've always I've always wanted that and I know I'm not alone either. For me, language is
a passion and as much as I want to pursue it online and alone, I can't do it alone. That's why I have Samura Roberts. In Samura Roberts Spanish class, I have learned so much about the beautiful language that is Spanish, including about Spanish culture, which I would have never known if I just used Dualingo. Now, people may think I can get this kind of fulfillment from apps, but that's just not the case. Apps don't sit with me and correct every mistake I make on a paper. Apps don't connect with me the way a human would. Apps don't teach me the difference between the subject verb agreement in anything else. Apps don't care about you the way that teachers do. While my Spanish grades may not always be perfect, the fact is that through every quizlet,
every quiz, every flashc card, every assignment, I learn a little bit more. I grow a little bit more and I grow alongside my classmates knowing that we are learning this beautiful new language together. Almost half of the students in online language courses drop out and never return if the student misses only one week of practice. They only have a 1 in3 chance of returning. Even with the extremely flawed dual window app, more of a dang dopamine trap. Fewer than 10% of users continue to show up after the first week. day 25. But in a Spanish class, you don't get to quit. You don't get to give up because there is someone who is counting on you, who is counting on your progress, on your growth, who is connecting with you, waiting to see you develop
and learn and change just like they have for generations before you. So like why get rid of a student's chance, their little tiny slim chance of sticking to a language? I got my source from why most language learners quit within the first 100 hours by Thank you. I want to just call out the three of you for being willing to come up. Um I as an adult um had a hard time wanting to speak in front of everyone when I found out David was ill today. was not my favorite um as as vice chair knowing that I had to make um conversation with you guys and and make some of these hard decisions and have this um meeting run this meeting was very uh hard for me. So, as a 42year-old almost 42 um I
commend you guys for being willing to do that and uh your teachers should all be very um wonderfully surprised and maybe not surprised as how supportive you guys are. Um, so I just want to call that out. So, thank you very much. We have any other public comments that I missed? >> Any rebel recognition? Uh >> we had uh conferences last week and uh I attended them both in the elementary and the middle school and they were robust and busy and I don't know how anybody had a chance to pee or anything else uh let alone eat I suppose a supper but um I just wanted to thank all the staff and the teachers and the students and families that came out to support our kids uh in that manner because I think uh conferences
are very important. We do have three young men that are going to state in wrestling. We know that. So, congratulations to them. Parks are going to dance. They're also doing something else too. >> Dance. Yeah. Dance. I was right. Yeah. That just uh recently went to state as well. So, congratulations to them. That was the first time I think ever for for uh BJF dancing. And so, awesome. you know, you got to be the first and congratulations to them for that great accomplish to 6.1 the Indian education report. >> Oh, I did not do number four. I skipped number four. I apologize. It went right to you guys. That was what my focus was. My apologies. So, number four is to adopt the agenda. This is for a motion to um adopt today's agenda. Do
we have any changes? >> No changes to the agenda. >> We have a motion. >> Motion by Troy. Is there a second? >> Second by Britney. Um any questions or discussions? All those in favor say I. >> I. All those opposed. Motion passes. Thank you, Brooke, for keeping us on track. Now we'll go to 6.1. My apologies. Officially welcome second time around. >> Apologize for my late arrival. >> You're good. >> So, uh, I name is I stand before you with an open mind and an open heart. Um just to give you guys kind of like an overview um of our Indian education program. Um I don't have any hard data for you guys to give you guys anything right now. Um so what we're working towards with um working with the school district is
in the past maybe from the beginning of the school year till now is just definitely a better understanding of um the program um what it is and how it works with the school, how it works with the families and our um American Indian education parent committee. Um but the purpose of our program is to um prepare our Native American students for post-secary education. Um and the goal of our program is to work with um American Indian parents uh the guardians families um in order to meet um unique educational cultural needs for our Native American students um within our school district. Um and then uh the goal is to work with the the AP pack, our parent committee, um the school district, um to uh connect students uh and families with um school resources, uh community
resources, um to help them learn at home or at school. Um and we support um students becoming college ready um or life after high school wherever that may be. And I think that's kind of that's all I have for our overview of our program. Um we've done um some meets a lot of meetings uh with uh attendants uh meetings with some counselors. We are in the works on doing some some assessments for our families and our students in our school district to figure out how to better help and better connect them uh in ways that they need and yeah that's all I got right now. Um are there any questions? So the compliance, so you guys have that form because the board does have a resolution to make John, right? Um, and do you guys
have that if you had a recommendation or you want to comment on that at all? >> I haven't uh I didn't I was over in Glendon. So it's on my desk. >> Uh, it's on my desk. I'll actually I'll run over and grab that real quick before we're done with the meeting tonight >> and then I'll present that to you. Um, did you want the vote that we had? >> Yeah, I guess I think the board it'd be nice to hear. So, if you want to just talk about what that compliance is, what that represents and then what your committee or your board has decided. >> Yeah. So our board of concurrence um slashnon concurrence is uh what our uh parent committee meets on on how they feel that the school district is working towards
helping our Native American students uh in different ways uh different uh goals that we have set up uh and I yeah I don't have anything to to show you to read uh for it yet but um our parent committee has voted um non-concurrent. Um again, and we have um recommendations for the uh the school district to better help and better um assist our Native American students. Um I I can read those off. Otherwise, I I planned on I have them printed off and ready to ready to give to you guys so you guys can look them over. Um but the vote of non-concurrence is what we were going to do um this time and then we're going to work towards I mean definitely with with where we're at with a better understanding of where the
where the program is going um who's overseeing and things like that. Um I think we have we have definitely a better grip on it than we at this point last year for sure. last year was kind of we we didn't know what we didn't know and I think we got a better handle on it and we'll we sure the future. >> Is there anything specific that you want to share? U non-compliance. I get that and we talked about that last year. I think we are in a better place also. I think we're heading in a better direction too in the future. Y >> we're not there yet. I I totally agree with you. Is there anything specific that you would like to share with them about what isn't or what's kind of missing? Is there
any highlights you'd like to share with that as far as what's not in compliance or how you your team or your group develop? >> Um, so attendance is probably one of our maybe one of our biggest issues. Um so the goal is for our liaison which is me um is to mediate u with the school district and the families and guardians on better ways to get um get our students to school um stress the importance of school to towards these families and and students. Um, and so we have um wanting to work together with you guys to offer more ways to encourage Native American students to come to school, stay in school, be in school, whether that be in the school building or online is an option for them. I mean, just finding different different
avenues. I mean, it's something that I think we've kind of tried to do a little bit before, but now with with the Aison in in place that we kind of have um a go-to person to kind of to to bridge the gap between the school district and those families. Um that's probably one of our biggest things um with the adding to that a couple of assessments that we want to put out to have um yeah, like I said, a better understanding of what families need from the school district. Um, and then our last one was kind of providing more cultural awareness education throughout the school year for all students, not just Native American students. Just kind of adding that into whether that be curriculum or bicing type things or field trips just looking at different
ways to kind of more cultural. >> Can I ask a question? Just so I'm understanding maybe all of us um when you vote non concurrent is that saying you don't agree with the goals that you want to change them or you don't agree or you don't like the outcome of the goals aren't where you want them to be at? We um the outcome I guess right now is probably not where the parent committee agrees with um that we want and and the goals that we have in our application or our our program overview um are a little different and general and vague and we've been trying to um kind of change that for the past like six months now. Um we're working towards that still. Um, we'll have that all put together pretty, you know,
in by the end of the school year here and aligned with kind of what we feel because when we had this before, we had an AP pack of one person um, we didn't have a lot of parent involvement and I have a great group of parents right now that are really helping and passionate about providing help for these and passionate about working with the school district. Um, so I think there's there's definitely good things ahead. Uh, it's just it's I guess we're just trying to we're just trying to align everything and kind of how how we see it, you know, being the best. Um, so definitely, you know, more conversations with the school district um admin um and everything just to make sure everything goes smoothly. So when you have your goals revamped, you think
you'll have a better picture of what you want to see going forward. >> Yep. With the current portion of it. >> Yep. And it's just it's definitely probably more more for um working with the leazison and using the um utilizing the leaison to to be that bridge between school district. >> Thank you. >> I have the same question. So I'm glad you asked it. you articulated better than I had on my notes. So, um I just want to appreciate all the work that you've done. I know that um you and I have talked on a personal level, too. And just um I know that you're working really hard to advocate for families and I think that's really important and I appreciate all that extra work that you've done and also bringing so much cultural awareness
to our school and to our students. I think getting a broader understanding of the world at large is so important. Um, and we do have a very large population of uh, Native Americans in our communities and to better understand those families and those kids and um, such an integral part of our community is very important. And I just want to commend you for the work that you've done and I appreciate um, that you can stand there and tell us, you know, where we can do better because I think we can in lots of ways continue to to grow. >> And thank you to your parent group. You know, you guys put in a lot of work too for team members and you guys need and work hard. Any other questions or comments? >> Thank you,
John. >> Thank you. >> All right, moving on to 6.2 board uh committee reports. We got the policy committee. >> I will take it. Um we uh met uh last time and went over a bunch of policies. They were largely um first and only reading type policies. They were uh very minimal if any changes might have been a statute or you know a probi um very very minor. Uh nothing um earthshattering. We did have a couple questions that Shannon was going to dig into. So we haven't included those um policies uh in in there yet because we still have a couple questions. So once we get that dialed in, we'll bring those ones back. But it was largely just a static change. Any questions for policy? Next is a district leadership team. >> Uh so
we yeah, we had the district leadership team meeting was my first one first one here uh this last uh Thursday. You know, this time they had ninth graders and tth graders kind of present on what they're seeing with the district, what they would like uh reviewed and maybe some changes. Some of the things they talked about was the attend the attendance policy. It's in effect for high school or the 15 days of can there be tweaks or something done there. They talked about allowing backpacks. We'd like to have backpacks in the school. A lot about study study hall of is there 18 hints they get enough or is there something that they could get get more than that? Um a bunch of other talks. I mean they did an amazing job for those about seven
kids that went up there and spoke and presented. all of them had had something to to talk about >> and showcasing our students ability to get in front of our group of people and and present. So, another example. >> Yeah, they did a great job. Um, uh, the meeting before was our juniors and seniors, so we had a lot of dialogue there. Uh, it's interesting. We heard a lot of the same topics from both groups, but how they look at it differently because how it affects them differently. It was interesting to hear that. Um, Mr. O'Keefe, I appreciate him being there, both of them obviously because he had a lot of lot to share also because he's living in one of the things we talked about and Troy probably remembers this too. It's this backpack
thing and the passing time and lunch. It's not perfect. Why do you come up with 18 minutes for this study hall? Well, there's x number of minutes for passing. You have this, you have lunch, you got a stagger, and pretty soon there's 18 minutes, which is an odd number, but that's what we can have. What can we fill that with? What is that? So, it's a constant tweak, I think, and it's something that they're looking. One other thing to bring up they talked about was was was grading and the the desire to have grades put in quicker. There's lots of times that students started talking that it'd be a long time in between. So I think that they they stressed on that of how can they get in there quicker especially when it ties to
sports and athletics and so >> is there an expectation of teachers to have their grades posted by >> Yep. There's been a lot of discussion with uh Joe and staff. So and I think it's with every elementary middle school. I'm seeing lots of head nods. For those of you on the other side of the screen, I can't see. >> Yeah, >> the teachers are agreeing with that is >> Yep. That's something that's been talked about in the past quite quickly. Everybody some people are better superintendent than others. Some are better, but you're right. So, yeah. And uh yeah, so it's it's something discussed frequently or even question. All right. 6.3 is our superintendent report. >> Yeah. Tonight, obviously, a lot of decisions that are coming uh and resolutions coming in this meeting tonight. Uh I
just wanted to make sure I put a statement together. I think sometimes when I read something, it's better than just talking. So, I put some things down here and I'm just going to read a statement. Um, and then once I'm done with the statement, uh, if you guys have questions today, I think that's enough for me because we have other other business we got to get to today. So, I'm just going to read the statement. It's a budget reduction board statement for tonight uh, from superintendent. So, from me, so following our recent budget challenges and the outcome of the November operating referendum, the district is moving forward with some necessary but very difficult adjustments for the upcoming school year. Tonight, there will be a series of recommendations of the school board that directly impact both
our staff and our extracurricular activities and obviously our students. Tonight's agenda includes the non-renewal of several staff contracts. These decisions are incredibly difficult and we are deeply grateful for the contributions these professionals have made to our students and to our schools. Additionally, to maintain state licensing compliance, we are informing staff members currently holding an out of field permissions that they may be placed on leave at the end of the school year if they have not completed the requirements for full lensure in their assigned areas. Regarding extracurricular activities, we have carefully evaluated every extracurricular program looking closely at participation trends, our per student costs, the long-term sustainability. As a part of this budget proposal, we are recommending the discontinuation of certain activities and a reduction in coaching positions from multiple areas. A shift towards a larger
roster size at the middle school level to manage coaching, officiating and transportation costs while maintaining participation opportunities for these students. And then of course with potential increase in activity fees or season passes to help address the rising operational costs. Other areas that will be reduced but not require schoolboard action are we've reduced staff at the district office. We've reduced principal staff. We've made transportation, technology, and curriculum cuts as well. We recognize that these changes create uncertainty and affect our staff, students, families, and they affect them personally. These steps are necessary to remain fiscally responsible while preserving the core of our educational and extracurricular activities. Our priorities remain the well-being of our students and we are working diligently to restructure our departments to ensure high quality learning and a high quality learning environment despite these constraints.
Should our budget conditions improve in the future, we would welcome the opportunity to reconsider or potentially reinstate certain offering. Thank you for your continued support, your understanding, and your dedication to the DGF community during this challenging. Um, it affects a lot of people. And back to what Nicole said to you guys earlier, thank you for being here. It's it's not fun for anybody in education. I love education in this job. And it's not fun to talk about what we are going to take away potentially. What's the right thing to take away? I've been wrong before. My administrators have been wrong before. Both members have been wrong before. It's just uh it is what it is. Um so here we are. The other part that was very important for me is that we had referendum meetings
uh over the last whatever last year and one of the things we talked about in the frequently asked questions. What happens if it doesn't pass? That was a frequently asked question. So, I went through that, too. And then after tonight's board meeting, we're going to get into March. We're going to talk more about extracurricular in our first March meeting. Uh, tonight's more about personnel and programs. Um, but I want to I'm going to lay out all that frequently asked questions and the things that we pointed out in those community meetings, what may get cut and then what was cut. So, it aligns with A, B, C, D. And so you can see the process that we went through. Uh as painstaking as it was, it took us four months to figure out and should have
taken six maybe. I think it's also important to let our staff members know early if they are going to be affected so they have time to do what they need to do to make sure they can find something in the future. Questions? >> I don't have a question. I do have a comment though. I just want everybody in the audience and online and in our district know how terrible this whole conversation has been. It's been one of the most awful experiences I've had to encounter. And as a police officer, I've been through some pretty uh icky scenarios, but um this is awful and none of us like it. None of us would enjoy it. And I know it affects pe people personally and it affects their families. And um we just thank you for all
the work that you've done and continue to do for our students in our communities every year. >> I I don't believe we can take that at this time. Sorry. >> We're always available though if you have questions. >> Yeah. No, it's okay. pass but >> well come to all these public meetings in the future because this problem doesn't go away and we are going to need to readress that uh going forward and I wish it would have changed in a different all right on to 7.1 um this is uh to approve the regular meeting um minutes on February 9th 2026 do I have a motion Laura motion. Do you want a second? >> Second. >> We have a first and a second. Do we have any discussion or questions? Any questions or discussions? All right.
Not hearing any. All those in favor say I. >> I. All those opposed. I All right. Moving on to eight. Uh consent agenda. Uh claims and accounts. Sure. What number are you at? uh $292,463.32. >> All right. And we also have the treasur's monthly budget report in our packet and the um FY26 school calendar to approve to forgive the March 13th and 16th dates for uh students only. Again, staff will be on site. Do I have a motion? >> Motion by Troy. Do I have a second? Second by Britney. Uh any questions or discussions? >> I just have a comment. I think I've made it clear to us before, but I don't love how we handled the calendar situation. Um the snow days, you know, changed and you know how we had several talks about
it, but um I am happy that the forward thinking for next year's calendar and did some changes. Just wanted to >> Any other questions or discussion? Any other questions or discussion? Hearing none. All those in favor say I. I. >> All those opposed. Motion passes. 9.1 is the FY27 school calendar. U. This is to approve the second reading of the FY27 school calendar. It had been tabled previously at the last meeting due to uh some absence of board members that uh wished to have a voice heard. >> Do I have a motion? >> Motion by Mike. Is there a second? Second. Second by Britney. Any questions or discussion? >> I like how it's turning out. I mean it's it uh it not having the having three storm days that would be forgiven some of that
going back to the 90s or whatever you want to call it of having having an actual storm day and not learning days. Uh the ability after that though to make them up with with e-learning I think it's a it's an option. it's probably not always the best option, but it's an option for us. >> And I do appreciate that we're looking at restructuring our e-learning days to look at efficiency and effectiveness for our staff and students as well, but um to make them easier on on both sides, I think it's And how many e-learning days are one? >> Five. >> All right. And any other questions or discussion? Any other questions or discussion? Hearing none. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> All those opposed. Motion passes. Next will be um 9.2. This
is to approve the first and only readings of the following policies. 511 student fundraising. 714 fund balances. 720 vending machines. 721 uniform grant guidance policy regarding federal revenue sources. 722 public data requests. 722 public data request form. Uh 725 severe weather related school closings. 799 postisssuance compliance policy. 801 equal access to school facilities and equal access to school facilities for any uh do I have a motion? Motion by Troy. Is there a second? Second. Second by Britney. Any questions or discussions? Like I said, these were largely um just minor tweaks if any. uh and pol um statute table. Any questions or discussions? Um hearing none. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> Uh all those opposed. Motion passes. Next is to appro uh 9.3 is to approve the 2025 2026 American Indian plan
compliance documentation as presented by John. >> Yeah, we don't have the official. We'll have to get that from him. Um, John, no. Um, I'm just >> He thought he was going to >> I want to say yes. My only thing >> I'm going to table to the end of the meeting because he said he was potentially going to run there and back. >> Good idea. >> Should we just >> And the only reason I say that we might have to do that, Nicole, is because I believe the compliance had to be done in February before March 1st. So, let's give them some time and hopefully that works. Yeah, good idea. I forget. Keep me on track. Okay. All right. Um, let's skip that one. 9.4. This is to approve the donations as presented. We've got
uh several donations here. I'll read them first and then you can get a motion. Second. Uh whereas Minnesota statutes 123b.02 02 subdivision 6 provides the board may receive for the benefit of the district requests donations or gifts for any proper purpose and apply the same to the purpose uh designated in that behalf. The board may act as trustee of any trust created for the benefit of the district or for the benefit of the pupils thereof including trust created to provide pupils of the district with advanced education after completion of high school in advancement of education. And whereas Minnesota statutes provides any city, county, school district, or town may accept a grant um a grant or device of real or personal property and maintain such property for the benefit of its citizens in accordance with the
terms prescribed by the donor. Nothing herein shall authorize such acceptance u or use for religious or sectarian purposes. And whereas um every such acceptance shall be by resolution of the governing body adopted by twothirds of majority of its members expressing such terms in full. Um so the DGF school district gratefully accepts the following donations as identified. Um Aspelin excavating in the amount of $1,000 for girls golf. Uh Kathy Martin in the amount of $2,000 for speech. CI Sports in the amount of Unreal pullovers for uh boys golf and Amenson kungpet drywall in the amount of title prov golf balls for boys golf and land in the amount of $600 for middle school student council. Do I have a motion? >> Motion by Britney. Is there a second? >> Second by Laura. Um I just want
to say thank you to all the community members for all their continued support. Uh it's remarkable to me that every week that we have a school board meeting, we continue to have more donations. Any other questions or discussions? All right. Being a resolution, uh we will have to do a roll call vote. Laura, >> Troy, I >> Britney, >> I motion passes. All right. On to 9.5. is to approve the early retirement of Deita Underwood effective at the end of the 2025 2026 school year. Do I have a motion? Motion by Laura. Second by Troy. Any question or discussion? I just want to say thank you um to Deita for all her continued support of our students in multiple capacities uh in the extended amount of time that she's been here. You've made a a
large impact on your students. >> Yeah, we kind of gave her kudos. here month ago or whatever it was. We accepted a resignation. But yes, thank you to Dina for all of our years. >> All right. Any other questions or discussion? Hearing none. All those in favor say I. All those opposed. >> Motion passes. Uh we got John Mars here. Um this is a motion
to approve the 2025 2026 American Indian plan compliance documentation that he is. Yes, we have the documents here that we had meeting on Sunday. Just wanted to clear up uh if voting not concurrent with with with this document, it doesn't mean that we disagree with everything the school is doing. It's just we just we know that there's more that can be done and we need to work together. Um and we're we're still figuring out the whole the program as a whole, how it all works and we just know how most of it works, but a lot of it works and so just kind of getting figured out. a work in progress. I think one of the biggest things and John you can share more if you want to on this topic and that is I
think we're still trying to figure out the roles right so what does the liaison role mean for John what's the person that's in charge of John I guess in this case what's that role what's asked of each and I think that's part of our definition what everybody's role is that's part of it and then there's some other things obviously but I think that's kind of been part of our hiccup is trying to figure that out. Would you agree with us? >> Yeah, that's probably been our biggest hurdle. Um and with the um with figuring out, you know, all those steps that you just talked about, it's definitely giving us a definite more clear path on where we're going to go with it and what we can do and who's going to do it. >> Thank
you for that clarification. >> All right. Do we have a motion? Motion by Britney. Any uh do we have a second? >> Second by Laura. Any questions or discussions? >> What? So I'm here. So by April 6, if I read this right, by April six, you have to have the written response to the school. >> So with the recommendations, I just forgot to put that with that paper. But the recommendations on what the APAC feels like doing with the school district, um, that's what we present with that. Um, those are probably the biggest reasons on why we were both non-concurrent. today by your committee would vote on concern um with us as a school district. And so now you guys can you guys can look at that and then have >> these were the bullet
points you covered earlier. Correct. >> Um yeah, you guys look at that and then figure out we figure out a way to try to make this work. >> So then would you come back to us if you felt that we continued to um not meet those goals? Would that be the goal then would be to continue to converse with us so that we can work together long term, right? >> Oh, yeah. >> We're over the video. I mean, I've worked with you, so I understand that you would come to us, but yes. >> All right. Any other questions or discussions? Any questions or discussions? Hearing none. All those in favor say I. I. >> All those opposed? Motion passes. Thank you, John. Next is uh 10.1. Our next board meeting uh will be held here
